If you ever break the arm of your glasses and the Optometrists says you have to buy new ones go to a place that sells those cheap glasses match the arm hinge to your glasses then take off the new arms and replace old ones

The last time I had a meltdown with my printer, I had a mental image of finally conquering it and it printing out a large 'SORRY' to apologise. When it did finally work again, I had no clue as to how I had accomplished it.

This printer of mine doesn't seem to like you changing your mind about printing something. It sits there, refusing to believe that you really don't want to do something. You practically have to threaten it with being scrapped before it will move on.

My g.f was in tears on the phone as she thought she had broken her very expensive printer as she melted a transfer onto the main wheel. I told her relax we will see if himself can fix it. He fixed it she was so happy

I've learned to ignore the signs about low ink levels. It starts flashing up practically as soon as you install a new one.
Just recently replaced my stinking Dell with a Canon MP240... really like it... not an ink whore at all and it seems to work just fine... no glitches.

My old laser was a canon and I loved it.. the drum finally went and I could not afford a color laser so I went with the stinking Dell... never worked right... hated it... ate ink, etc... so I went back to Canon for the second inkjet.
what i do is take out the cartridge and give it a good shake and it lasts another 3 months then do it again until i can't squeeze another print out of it

my daughter taught me that trick haz it really works and you get more than twice the life out of the toner. i pay $100 for a toner so need to make it last
You can try it Haz... but wear protective gear and do it outside, LOL.
you can shake them too. just put the cap on first
for the powder type it works. But if you want to shake inkjets, feel free. It might allow you to spend some frustration energy on cleaning afterwards.

lol judi, it's either a huge pain in the ass or a lot of fun, depending on my attitude and on who comes over to help! We give out glow sticks because I refuse to have that much candy in the house. But it's the whole neighborhood, not just our house. We are a small town and for some reason there is a six block area that gets SLAMMED at Halloween. All the families who live in the country head over to our blocks. There are so many kids that it looks like a parade!

Then, of course, there are a few who do haunted houses and the like. It's fun, watching them pop up all over the area.
Past few years, we got so few ghoulies, we just don't bother anymore. We go out to dinner and stay out until 9:30 or so. Leave all the lights off, etc.
It's also sort of a bizarre initiation for new neighbors. If they don't know what to expect, they run out of treats before it even gets dark!

Yes, but they were torn before the foot surgery. I use a walker and the wheelchair.
