my mom was very good at making the food budget go far
being frugal because of temporary lack of funds is a lot different than wondering if there's going to be enough food in the house to feed the kids
i can remember lots of pork,jello,turnip,oatmeal...very little prepared cerial and prepared snacks..
the money saved if you bought dented cans bought coal for the furnace
even now, preparing for a camping trip, you'd think we were headed out to the wilderness with the swiss family robinson for a year ... lol
(and there's only two of us .. and the dogs)

tried all of it, including the dentist who says there is nothing wrong with the tooth but he could give me a root canal if I wanted one (no) and the doctor who said it was probably sinusitis and flushing it with saline water would cure it. Only it didn't.
ugh,i hate it when my sinuses are so plugged that even my eyelashes hurt
keep trying to convince myself it is psychosomatic and I can make it go away like warts, with attitude. doesn't work
maybe a hot shower would help?
I don't usually have sinus trouble lbd but if this is a mild case, I would HATE to have it often

I never call my mother 'Mother' unless I'm shocked or annoyed by her. She's Mum (or 'Mom' as we pronounce it here in The Midlands). Same goes for my own daughter re me. One thing I must say re weight and weight charts. Most of the charts we go by were drawn up inbetween the 1950s and 1970s. Skeletal frames were much smaller then than they are now. New charts need to be drawn up, because people are much bigger (bodywise rather than fat) than they were then.
i gain 10-12 lbs every winter and it comes off by itself every summer
