Oh, I haven't see it -- will look in My Friends for Sprite
It's so interesting
who is Sprite?
those darn mutants have been here 2 days ina row now!
i'm late hey all
Sprite is another babbler who lives near Amsterdam in the Netherlands. She lists the icon themes.
ha 7
I don't know much about babble, yet. But thanks for answering my question. I don't even know what icon themes are. :-)

I don't know which one is the dolphin; maybe I found it already
jillibus, is that your real picture or is it an icon?
oops, sorry
it's an i4/4 grem - you probably have it already
I do have an in4, okay
yeah, I have it
Welcome, BriSan. Not everyone follows the icon themes, whcih change every day. Today's theme is A Word from the Grid, which will serve as a clue. I haven't found one yet so my icon is yesterday's theme. If you click on it you will see what it's about.

we get the giggles so much on the beach....all the new immigrants strutting their stuff in speedos
you can pick them a mile away....they're the ones who think they're the next errol flynn.......

and please don't say "who"?
LOL, very quiet isn't he?
Errol and I go way back

YAY flosey -- didn't know you spoke Klingon
lol
that word comes up now and then
I knew the ap word -- it's the 28 I have left which must be klingon
yes, lol, am feeling a bit sleep deprived
Contrary to popular belief, I'm not fluent in Klingon. Hello jilli (and everyone)!
can I help Jilli?
hi Douglas
ach -- you said "an5", not ap5 -- obviously I can't see anything
hi doug
Hello flosey
hey douglas
flosey -- you run along to bed like a good girl
lol, thanks mom!
thanks for the offer, though!
night flosey, sleep well, hun
That an5 is in crossword puzzles on a regular basis...hello granny
must remember that Douglas, haven't been doing them lately, how do they clue it?
Usually "negatively charged particle" to distinguish it from just plain old "charged particle"
oh foo -- I was looking at the wrong A
thanks Douglas
and now 'poof'
night flosey
2 5/12's are anagrams of each other, pa5 and ap5
hello
* * fireworks * *
hi OSGD
Hi OSGMA
Anybody need clues?
I haven't started and I feel asleep with 9 to go on the last grid
Oh dear! Well this one is annoying.
I was tired and I needed a Nap
Well, I'm half alseep now so if nobody needs clues I'm off to bed.
night night
Night all! and *poof*
hello all - talk about an annoying grid:)
good morning
is it nasty and small, just small, or just nasty?
Morning! Woke up at 4 and couldn't sleep so here I am--only to have my spirits, high at the number 82, suddenly plummet. What IS this thing?!
Morning, it's hard but doable, random typing works well today.
nasty and small in my view
hi FM
uep doing lots of randon\m typing
Hi ruby!
lol Tanja
What would be the likelihood of having the cartoon turtle warriors here two days in a row?
Hello all
ty mudd, I wouldn't have looked for them 2 days in a row
gm lynxxx
TY Mudd - was just trying to find Ns
This started out as a nasty grid for me, but I'm gradually accepting it. I don't like small grids so it is a mindset that I have to overcome.
ye** - they are either too too easy or too tough
yup
And in almost the same spot, Mudd!
When there is a 7 in the middle of nowhere, I panic, but they have been relatively familiar today ... except the Shakespeare Hamlet one.
Hello everybody :) Its a miserable morning here - all the better for Babbling!
yup
good morning Soodlebum
hi Soodle
Hi Babblers. Nasty cold grey morning here, but have coffee and a horrible grid to look forward to :-)
hi Sally
Hi Sally
The grid is actually not so bad once you dig in your heels. I only have two words left and have not been here all that long.
I came on briefly quite early, and got 28 words. Can't see any more at the moment!
And now I'm finished.
don't believe a word Mudd says
Yay for Mudd!
believe me, i don't!
You mean not finished?
very clever Mudd!
Here is my golden clue for the morning ... In my humble op7, a half as7 heart regimen at bedtime is a good idea and should be part of our ha7 (British sp. of course).
Oh, big thank you mudd!!!
At least at my age with my family history it has to be.
TY!
And that is all of the 7s. And with that, I am going back to bed.
G'night
night Mudd
Mudd's clues were great, but the final HA one is eluding me - anybody got a clue?
put a be in front and it would make more sense
There;s an ha 7/36 and an ha 7/48. Which one do you want?
I have the one associated with your tresses
No matter - monkeyed it!!
Soodle, I just love your profile words. Am copying and sending to someone I know!
Words I try to live my life by, Sally. LOL
i get as far as the tresses and don't see the rest
oh yeah! there it is
Jayk - the final ha word normally has the letters BE preceeding it.
the inmate didn't get parole because of bad beHA*****
good grief!
I have said that more than once in this grid, Jayk!
What about the na 5/14 - even Morewords isn't helping me with that one....?
me either
babies wear na**i*s
thx lynxxx
The grid won't accept that word from me, Lyn....
try again - it should
Aaaarrrrggghhhhh. Thank you Lynn
yw
20 left for me, enough for now (too tired) Goodnight all
Good night Lynn, and thank you.
night, lynxxx
This is a Horrible Grid!
yup, really struggling and don't want to list for such a small one.
worse than horrible: completely wretched! i can't find the pi 5 or 6--maybe the fist ones
I have a pi 6/21, don't know if that's the one you want.
it might be--there's 2 of them
The first pi 6/21 is the same as the op 7/32, minus the first letter, and the second pi 6/21 is the Latin plural of PI 5/12
OK, I now have two pi 6/21s and a pi 5/12. Do you want clues?
Yeah - wot soodle said.
cept i don't have the pi 5/12
PI plus double cons and ends with first vowel. It means the outer part of your ear.
Does it soodle? Didn't know that. Thought it meant a feather.
sheesh! thx. 4 left
have op7 & ha7.....can someone point me in the direction of the other 2 7's?????PLZ
Ah, see there are three definitions, including both ours.
Another ha7
And an AS 7.
And an as 7 which is a common headache medication
2 ha 7s--one having to do with the top of your head and the other very stupid: bad be*******
Sally - I just remembered the PI 5 word from a biology class long ago, when the teacher caught hold of my ear, and nearly pulled it off my head, because I didn't know what it was called. The shock treatment worked, cos I never blooming forgot it!
pr 5/12?
lol soodle!
got all the 7's, thanks all
Oh dear, just monkeyed the aj 5, and no wiser having looked at the definition!
pr 5/12 is microscopic particle
well so it is! thx
morning, all :) Jayk, you're up early!
Welcome to the grid from hell, NB!
I'm sensing that, Sally! only 10 words in and it's just awful
And it doesn't get any better, Nancy!!
scrolled back and got the as7 from your clue, though, thanks :)
hi NB--yeah, woke up at 4 and couldn't sleep anymore. been at this wretched thing for 2 hours
I didn't think that one would work, but I suppose it's a generic word and not a proper name.
ok, i'm down to the horrible unfindable sp 5s
it might be like 'heroin' - once a brand name but now the accepted name
any help with the pr5/12 please?
Oh I hate that, Jayk :/ though when I have insomnia, I'm at my most productive. If I can't sleep, I get up and clean something!
heroin was a brand name?
there's plenty here to clean, but i must get grimly through this first!
You get up and clean something NB? Shropshire is lovely, you should visit :-)
Believe so, yep, from when it was first marketed as a "non-addictive alternative" to morphine...blew up in a few faces, I imagine
always, Sally! We need more than daylight hours to keep the army of dust-bunnies at bay
i found one!
I just take off my glasses, then I don't see the dust bunnies.
A dust bunny or a word jayk?
LOL Sally, my question exactly
FW!!!!!!!!!!!
Well done Jayk! 6 left here
23 left here :-(
this was so un-fun. but i think the Times is here, so i can now behave normally
hi all
thank you all--anyone want clue before i poof?
nice one Jayk!!!
ty jayk, but I will struggle on.
Wowee. Fire works - at last!
OK then--see you tomorrow only i hope not so early
If I asked for one, Jayk, I'd have to ask for the remaining 70. Enjoy your day ;)
can't seem to get the pr5/12. Monkeys just gave up.
microscopic particle, nurse
Nurse, if you commit a crime, you get sent to this place. Just drop the snake letter
think mad cow diseasel
disease!
thx all!
Bye everybody. Have a 'Good Friday'. (chuckle)
Oooh, thanks Soodle! After the microscopic particle clue, I typed in 'proton' compusively ;)
bye soodle
Ta da! Fireworks. Feel exhausted now and in need of a lie-down (probably not due to Babble, but due to talk of cleaning and dust bunnies).
well done Sally. have a hot cross bun
better than a dust bun
Good morning/day to all.
hi Scrabbler
Do you live on Guernsey?
Born and brought up there, but now near Birmingham
Not an easy grid I am guessing.
no. it's got some very strange words in it, including two aj's that i can't find
aj + double vowel.
ty. another one i hadn't come across before. i only wish i could remember them all.
It was in a grid just 2-3 days ago, I think.
Oh, morning you two :) slipped off to get a cup of tea and got distracted by the kitty
that might have been the day when i never got round to it. if it's a very big grid, i'm better not to start it or i'm up till all hours.
hello everyone!
Hi NB
Hi Annie
Hello NB
Hi Annie! :)
and hi to guernsey
where was the beautiful photo taken?
this grid looks like a stinker
Good morning Annie! Are you also having summery weather? It was in high 70s yesterday, and will be same for today + tomorrow.
Scrabbs, Looks like a beautiful is coming up..I have all my windows open way up which makes me happy
*day
Lucky lucky Annie and Scrabbler. it's cold and raining here.
I opened windows and removed storm panes on storm doors last evening after work. The fresh air was great. I work all day today though. It's usually my day off my my partners are off for the holidays.
guernsey, we have had enough of cold, rain, wind.
I will kayak for the first time this season tomorrow!
good morning Babblers :)
so have we. worst winter for years and keeps coming back.
Hi Nanette
hey Scrabbs should be a great day for kayaking
Amen to that, Guernsey.
Nono!!! Where have you been? How is your hubby?
Oh, the flooding is awful in Rhode Island--I am watching NBC.
been around but not chatting lately Annie not too much time. Hubby is imporving slowly thanks for asking
It is heartbreaking. So many people lost everything.
Was he quite ill?
omg yes! I feel so bad for them. I know exactly what they are going thru having been thru it myself once
Scrabs he had a bout with pneumonia and CHF which left him very weakened so had been in a rehab center
Oh, my. But he is improving?
slowly yes
One day at a time, Nono.
thats how we try to do it Scrabs
I am stuck after just 34.
its that kind of grid, Scrabs. These words sure dont jump out at me
BRB--going to grab breakfast.
good idea, going to put up a pot of coffee
anyone want coffee?
would love some, thanks Annie
Back with hot farina with blueberries.
ohhh that sounds good Scrabbs
*pours coffee for Nono--puts out cream and sugar*
think i'll fix some oatmeal with apples
I switched to tea a few wks ago. Occasional coffee but not my usual 4 cups every morning.
Thanks Annie, no cream or sugar needed here
I usually have 2 cups of coffee every morning.
scrabbs, do you miss not having coffee?
I don't LOVE coffee but drank/drink it for caffeine. I decided to go off and see if my migraine frequency will drop off.
I hope it helps not having coffee.
"eeny" should be a word...eeny, meeny, miny, mo...
I am stuck with 49 words
I remain stuck at 35.
pria
I didn't know you suffered with migraines, Scrabbs. Leo gets pretty bad ones. Any recommended miracle cures?
Nope, Kaplan, I already tried that.
I mean good morning
hello Kaplan, need one I do not have
I take the generic equivalent of MigreLief---magnesium + vitamin B complex + feverfew==daily pprevention
Can't oblige
Neurologists recommend that combo--research it, NB
Prevention is what we aim for. Thanks! The problem with most migraine cures is that they seem to completely knock the patient out.
I figured that you, being a doc and all, might be safer than google ;)
And this is natural.
quite. in that case, I'm off to research that more thoroughly! thanks, Scrabbler, much appreciated
YW, NB...and I must quickly get ready for work--I am supposed to leave in 3 minutes, haha.
have a great day Scrabs
have an easy day, scrabbs
good morning, everyone!
Fie on this grid!
Hi Une!
hi Une
glad you're getting pretty weather as well, annie!
howdy, nono :-)
heading out to pick up and deliver food for soup kitchen, then transporting 2 rescue dogs, Zack and Mack, on their way to a forever home
yes, I'm a total canine freak! LOL
You're not much of a misanthrope, are you
Une, What a good day for you.
oh, kaplan, there's definitely that side as well . . .
Didnt we have ni 5/20 yesterday. Japanese stealth warriors?

This sucks.
me too, peri -- was it the op7?
That must be the one.
yes Une :)
the as7 surprised me -- thought that would be a proper no**
Same with ja5
ty Une
hmmmm, don't have ja5

that is me wearing my new glasses, NB, how are you?
I was gonna comment on the glasses, they're awesome...so bold! Somewhere along the line glasses became the ultimate fashion accessory...I don't even need them, but I want some
ty, NB, yes they are bold, but I wanted something different and I like red as well as periwinkle. I am still getting used to them
I think that eye glasses are jewelry for the face
Good Morning Everyone - lets the games begin
this is an awful grid Momn
Uh oh - checked out your glasses Peri - I like them
ty, Momsneed
Red's my favourite colour, and they're just the right shape for your face, too. Gorgeous!
ty, NB,
wow, I out-gayed myself a little there ;)
my last frames were wire and they made me look older. I wanted someething hip and contemporary
help with 2nd ha7 pls
I prefer the plasic to wire - I hate those nose pieces - realy bother me
my spelling is bad today - going to be a challenge with this puzzle
me too Moms, and being red they are easier to find if I should missplace them :)
sorry - only have 10 words so far - that isnt one of them
and the grid still stinks
very true - AND you are stylin'
ty Moms

sooo nice to have holiday on beautiful Friday...hi Nancyboy
Hi Joanne :) might be beautiful for you - been chucking it down with rain here, on and off! Typical english weather
it is gorgeous here.in the high 80's all weekend
my nephew and his friends were playing field hockey in the street yesterday. I bet they'll do the same again today, nice as it is.
yes the weather sucks there Nancy sorry
thanks for asking NB-i usually lurk & try to get the words
We're used to it, Joanne ;) besides, it's preferable to Korea...the times I've visited back home it's been horribly humid.
That's very restrained, Scribe - I treat the grid as an optional extra ;)
i don't think i could handle it Nancy
we have the best or the best weather i think
no luck with that last ji. help? I have J+small hotel, and the plural. what's the other?
hm. so i'll feel at home in a Korean Summer. Good to know.
I don't really mind whether it's hot or cold, but I like dramatic weather. Really hot sun or raging storms or hail or snow. Fun weather! I'll happily run outside and get drenched if it's raining hard enough.
ji4, like the italian hello ci**
Playing in the rain is fun. Playing in a thunderstorm, however, is dangerous and foolhardy.
ty, guernsey!
i don't like freak hail storms anymore
lost a classic lincoln that way last year
we rarely get hail here, thankfully
clue for the second pi4/4

{{{KJE}}} hello. How have you been?
Hi All! happy good friday afternoon....
good, mom, have big plans for the holiday?
hi red
Hi Red, Happy Good Friday afternoon to you as well
KJE, I think it will be just us and the boys. At least today that is where it stands
how about you?
my brother is hosting dinner sunday... all the nieces nepsh, etc... and his fiance
that sounds like a wonderful time.
hopefully so
you have doubts? :)
Biiig family get together kje!
i do not like his fiance
but, whatev, i will not be marrying her
ah. That is a tough pill to swallow.
true but makes getting together a rough time.
well, maybe you will find something new and different about her this time, though knowing you kje, you have given her lots of opportunities to be the new and different likeable brother fiance.
she is odd, but my main concern is that i do not believe she is as in love with him as he with her... and who wants that for their bro?
My problem is that I like my brother in law better than my sister....
LOL red - been there too!
Oh KJE and Red.
I have one like that Red. Had one like KJE's too but they are divorced now
I have 6 sibs, so it is a mixed bag with spouses and such
but then so is my sister.
My Sister and Bro in law have been having their troubles, but...
Wow kje. thats one huge get together.
all the sibs coming Sunday?
I am sorry to hear that Red.
Ahh, like kje, I just remember its not my marriage.
Hi to my fellow babblers! How is everyone doing today
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! YAY!

Hi everybody
hello krisE
Hello KrisE! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid!
Can I shake the grid? Words would be so much easier if I could shake an E in an appropriate place!
HO
i mean the letters
Hi Nonnie! Hi Min! It's my birthday today and I'm having a lovely day.
Happy Birthday, KrisE!
Thanks!
And if I could, I would shake the grid for you in celebration of your birthday!
Happy Birthday KrisE!Glad you are enjoying your day
Happy birthday KrisE. Spring is a lovely season for beginnings.
no ho words, bob
Hello stidgmere! How are you doing? Welcome to grid
Usually my b-day is too cold to be considered spring where I've lived. But today is sunny and 60s and just lovely.
Hi stidgemere!
Hellow minver. I'm fine and hope you are the same.
I am well stidgmere. Saving my last word for later on.
Hello Stidmere! I don't think I've every met Stid's momma :o)
spongebob, do you have the very tight curve (ha7)?
ty ty KrisE...I have it now :o)
I am saving my last 41 words for later on. Half way through and ready for a late afternoon nap.
Oh, hi nonnieL I really am such an intermittant player I shall be meeting old friends for the first time for years to come.
Well, it is nice to meet you and I hope you enjoy your nap.
Nice log, stidgmere - did you make it?
Thank you 38 left. Niftily nocked out the ne words.
Yes, I did. Tomorrow it shall be a chocolate cake for Stidsoninlaw's bday.

Nice!
do you have the ha4 that needs combed?
no i don't
look for it - it's there; then the 7 will pop out at you
combed?
or brushed. or cut. or washed. or coiffed
on top of your head sponge
still don't get it
are you going northwest from H?
Sponge, the ha7 is a compound word. ha4 (stuff on top of a person's head that needs combing or brushing) + 3 letter word for a item you can use to pop a balloon.
What word are you looking for right now spongebob?
ha7/36 word is ha 4/5 plus *** the tail on the donkey
Did any of that help, sponge?
I need to find a few more words so I can give myself permission to look at the list...
lol Kris
Can I admit, that now with 28 left the grid is a little bit less intelectually satisfying, and now it is just annoying?
in4??? Is it a fish?
Perha4/6 I should do a story of clues today. In my op 7/32,this grid was very hard. This grid gave me such a headach that I had to take an as 7/32 because my head was sp4/5ing.It drove me insa4/4. I was about to pull out my ha4/5 out trying to find some of these words. Some puzzles bring out the worst beha7/48 in me. There are a he4/6 of words in here I have never heard of.I had to sp5/12 for some clues. But I'm done so I will not let grid ru 4/5 my day.Now I am going to get out of these je 4/9s and into my PJs. With no na 4/5 today, I think I need to go lay down.Oh ye4/7, I forgot, I will be back later on tonight to help w/clues

2 phantom words for me today were appear and spar
hi, all
Hi Angelsong - how are you?
Go red!
kind of sad today. Good Friday is difficult for me
aj4/9 sounds like the author James Ag**. aj5/26 is aj plus vowel plus a state abbreviation kje.
Jesus? Or another loss?
Hello AngelSong! How are you doing? Welcome to grid!
Thank you Min! got them both!
though I did try the abbreviation for Nevada - ha ha
not another loss in my family...it's just how He had to suffer that breaks my heart
hi, Min
yw KrisE
It is very sad, Angelsong. I read the John version today.
Kris, I came across a medical account of the crucifixion. Chilling
As the saying goes, It's Friday...but Sunday's coming.
"Sunday's on the way!"
Amen
Until I saw the Passion of the Christ, it never dawned on my just how busy Satan was on Good Friday.
As always.
helo
Hi herin!
Hi herinfernallady! How are you? Welcome to the grid
HI MIni.
HI Krise and Angel
hi, Herin
any clues for the he
I was just looking at my old primary school information on facebook and I am a little disappointed in the way others have treated someone over a negative comment about the school> I can't blame her taking her kid out of there
Oh my herin
yo krise i was at dinner so what was your clue for the he
did you he4 the food on your plate?
I would love to say something to this mum in person but she has blocked messages. I would also love to call out the names that bullied me whilst going there, the fact that my friends friends kids go there and they are being bullied but you can't because it would not achieve anything other than being a troll
Near here a 15-yr-old committed suicide after being bullied at school, and now the bullies are being prosecuted
I have seen that in the news so so sad
yes i did and i already got that one
yes, it is.
that is terrible
spongebob, do you have the he4 to the throne?
no thanks
Ok I have just smooshed my elbow into my hot hot oven. ut aloe on it but man does it still hurt. Ice was tooo painful ouch. :(
OUCHIE Red
OW, red!
oooh that would hurt
Red do you have pure aloe vera
Well herin considering I cut it off the plant I think its pure.
I feel your pain redturtlehead!
Kris Many many years ago I said that the biggest cults in USA schools was not the little ''freaks'' in black but the cheerleaders and jocks that get away with everything now doesn't suprise me in the least.
Ok good Red. But still owies
I think now with19 left and pain, I shall being getting the list.
You've earned the list, red. I've been on it for a while now.
I really think the bigger problem is not any group of children but a lack of parenting these days and a lack of school people getting any clue whats going on.
I got story of clues in my profile today redturtlehead
yes, Min I used it, it gve me one word I didnt have, thanks!
Oh, sorry it was not more helpful. Good luck with list.
That's so true, Red---parents not teaching their kids to be respectful + responsible. Parents not supervising their kids well enough. And school administrations don't want publicity about drug or violence problems.
Hello Scrabbler! How are you doing? Welcome to grid!
i just spent a ridiculous amount of time looking for he5. mind your plurals people!!
Red I say this complete with sarcasim. I thought that we were meant to do their parenting for them Have our video games violent movies banned all because some parent cant say NO to their kid
I am on call again (2 nights in a row) and want it to be 8 AM tomorrow.
Hello Good Enough! That happens to me all of the time
I find it so amusing that a 19 year old class mate thinks like me due to the way she has been brought up. Even though there is close to a generation difference she still thinks that most of her peers are rude and disrespectful
I do not like this grid. Not with a fox, not on a box, I do not like this grid, Sam I Am.
I'm with you, Scrabbler. I don't like it either.
I also think Herin that is is very very difficult to be a parent these days and a lot of people do their best and their best just isnt maybe that good.
It's definitely a braintwister Scrabbler,but it's doable
Hi Scrabbs!
I estimate that 25% of parents that I see in my office want to have respectful, responsible kids and work hard to create good future adults.
good morning - 23 left
Red, do you do the games on Quote Puzzler? There is a player named Red there.
Hi Tanja. I need to find 41.
O yes I would not want to raise a kid today. it is so hard. too many choices and not much off buttons.
schools have a lot to answer for - I ws glad I home schooled in the later years
Hi Tanja. Hi Scrabbler.
taken me ages to get to where I am :)
Speaking of kids Scrabbler how is Bunny Tucker doing?
helloherin
If I were a parent now I would homeschool and be part of a homeschool association.
I dont play them, is she a redturtlle head?
Tucker needed a full week to get better and he has been fine since.
She/he is just Red.
I'd probably send my kids to a Quaker school, like I went to and President Obamas kids are going to....
minveryork i don't get the beha--- and sp---- parts of your story
Yes, I like religious based schooling too.
We had a very strict beha**** code. no hitting or you were expelled.
Geez, it took me 10 min to see the 2nd an4.
and there really wasnt hitting.
behav*** isn't in the puzzle
I used to like to bite.
I'm in the same boat, Scrabbler. After monkeying for any possible letter combo, I lose the ability to recognize regular words
yes but if you take off the Be it is sponge.
and use the British spelling
THat is great about Tucker Scrabbler
if you spell it in a British way..
Aha, TY, Kris!
love homeschooling and scouts
i'm not in england
Thanks ot Min - she clued me. :)
how
I could not do homeschooling givent hat I would need to work, and while I support homeschooling, it isnt for all families.
I am always SO impressed with homeschooled kids--respectful, responsible, hard-working, self-motivated...
U need this letter
hmmm....I thought I hated O words. Turns out I hate J words with a burning passion
thanks i got it
Nice clue, herin :)
here is a clue for the p4
I am still working on the A's, jmitch....ap, as, and av
lol mitch
I am still working on all of them!
where have you BEEN - b
I am disappointed with the fact that school kids are reading books in year 10 that I read in year 7 that is serious backwoods English
Evening all.
hi GGA
Hi peach
I just realized that the lentil sweet potato stew in the crock pot is supposed to have fresh parsley in it. Have to go chop parsley. bbl
Hi peach!
May I please have a clue for pa5-12? Thanks.
scrabbler, are you one that takes one tile at a time?
Kris! I want the recipe for that.
KRis just lob it in there and it will fall of the stem (I was about to say bone)
what about the bottom a
I've tried that method but ADHD kicks in and I end up scattershot across the entire grid
Nope, nrkii does that, and maybe Hurshy. I go randomly and grab what I see. Then I focus on one tile at a time. Then I go to the list. Then I beg profusely. Then I give up and quit if I pass halfway.
RED: http://www.taste.com.au/ I swear by this site. Especially Super Food Ideas and Aus Good Taste and Taste.com.au recipes. If you need translations just message me via FB
i go random until I'm forced to concentrate on end tiles.....then I beg....then I list...then return to beg!
I need a break. I have found 3 words in 30 minutes.
if i do it that methodically it stops being fun and starts being work :(
any clues for the bottom a
Scrabbler, you have a very scientific measure to do the grid.
Darn it all, my arm hurts.
Red that site has lentil recipes
my emt friend say "cool cloth, cool cloth, cool cloth" until the burn stops
thanks.
I may use it, I tried ice but it seemed to hurt worse.
I jsut want to finish grid.
no lotions or anything until later because it seals the burn in
I tend to do the grid like you Scrabbs - find it is the most fun that way
no ice. like you said it hurts too much. just cool cloths. when they get warm rinse under cool water and apply again
the only thing I put on it is the aloe. it helped.
cold wter for 20 minutes and then the aloe - repeat regularly and take a couple of panadol and drink lots of water as well
I'm so angry at myself, as its going to really not feel good in the swimming pool!
and HUGS as it will be very painful
good. do what works for you. for me it might be a stiff drink.
yyou might find being in the swimming pool will help as the air wont get to it
I cant really see it as its on theback of my elbow, but I think it is not a very bad burn..may be better by tomorrow
well I am using lickety and dictionary now:(
down to 23
I have 11 left with lickety
ok i'm finally catching on to add the "ion" ending to everything
May I please have a clue for sp6-24? Thanks
whooo hooo, I have Jousted the J's

I have it sitting on ice. It does rather hurt.

I am 39&I still have to coax myself to go to bed when I am up late babbling on a work night Momneedshelp.
Thanks Momneedshelp
I will join when I am ready to loosen the purse strings one day, I suppose. Is it worthwhile if I use the lickety site while I do the puzzle?
I have trouble coaxing everyone in my house except for my husband
What a coincidence, I'm 39 too. Got about 8 months before that fateful day..
I just joined myself - I understand - but then I thought *hey self its only $14.95 for a lifetime - I spend more on a bottle of wine* - its well worth it
Thanks, Min. That is fireworks....see y'all at the flip.
congrats peach
My hubby also needs coaxing to go to bed when he is up partying. He will stay up until 2:00 in the morning.
I need to loosen the purse strings on the wine, too. I have a local store that sells "inexpensive gems"- all bottles under $14
with I could say I was 39 but got you beat by my 13 year old
Congratulations Momneedshelp on going pro! Hooray!
I take it once I go pro, I can start being paid to play this? :)
LOL hawknoah!
Thanks Min - I am loving this game and the folks here the most
I am willing to give up my amateur status if there's $$$ involved
If I got paid to play this,I'd be a millionaire hawknoah
We will stand behind you when you contact the owners
Seems like "professional" would imply we could make a career out of it!
ok time to work my magic on my daughter.. thanks all for the help & have a great night
hawknoah, not only is it a coincidence that you're 39 but it is also a coincidence that my last name starts w/Hawk.What's the meaning of your name hawknoah
Goodbye hawknoah!I will see you tomorrow in the log
it's just an email alias that's stuck with me over the years for no real reason. My wife created it when we first got an AOL account
it's her initials + my name (Noah)
time to say good night if no one needs anymore help - see you all tomorrow
See, if you went pro I would know that you are a man
my shadow looks somewhat masculine, though!
Goodnight Noah and MinHawk
Bye Momneedshelp! I will see you tomorrow in the log
that you will! Poof
I may not be back tomorrow, heading to the inlaws who may not be too impressed if I spend the day in front of the computer. maybe if I get up early enough..
Well since people are leaving, then I'm leaving as well.

bye min dear!
Hello everyone.
hello gwen! COOL scan! I have never seen one of twins
Yes Trifs .. Will probably make a ham or something .. though I made a ham about a week ago .. They were on sale ..
That's my grandbabies! They'll be 28 weeks gestational age on Sunday.
Heya gwen ..
so interesting, how they each have their own "rooms" so to speak
And they are trying to make an early appearance. Daughter-in-law has been hospitalized for a week, and looks to stay there until delivery. Hopefully not for a few more weeks, but you never know.
Ham sounds good! Do you guys eat lamb?
----> will say a prayer for her, gwen. are they nearby?
They just moved to San Antonio. I'm in NC. But they are closer to us now than when they lived in Hawaii!
yes, but a bummer they aren't closer. I am sure you would LOVE to help with the little one, whilst she is in her confinement, as the victorians said....
Hope it turns out okay gwen
Thanks for the prayers. Anyone on Facebook can join a group set up for them: "Prayer Warriors for Khloe and Joah" (the twins' names)
I have not tried to make lamb yet ..
hmmm - a boy and a girl then?
hmmm - a boy and a girl then?
sorry - not sure what's up with the double posts
Yep. girl=Khloe Reese. boy=Joah Scott.
nice names!
"gwen" would have been nice too.....
"Khlo-Jo" is my nickname to refer to them both. Not sure the kids really appreciate that! Well, Reese is my maiden name, so that counts.
Khlo-Jo! too funny! and props on the Reese
Khlo-Jo! too funny! and props on the Reese
aaargh
Hello Fellow Babblers. How are you tonight?
hey there nef!
Hi Trifio! Gwenski, I always called the wrong name when talking to my kids, so they joke that their name was "Bu-Ann" instead of Bob and Anne
My mom would sometimes include the dog's name when trying to call the kids! Now that's really bad!!
did you ever hear bill cosby's riff on names? He said when he was a child, he thought his name was "goddammit" and his brother's name was "jesus christ" as that is what their dad always yelled - "jesus christ, turn that down! goddammit stop making that noise!"
I think I heard that one. And I remember the one he did about feeding them cake for breakfast.
Oh, My Trifio!
hello all 33 to go now
I have called my kids the dog's name, and vice versa. Always makes the kids ROLL laughing! The dog doesn't find it as funny
hahaha trif
Heh ..
I have called my husband by my son's name and visa versa...they just sit there stunned
my neighbor just had a child, and they named it after the dad....
LOL! When I get upset about something, I'll be reading them the riot act (they are now 30 and 27, BTW) and I say something REALLY stupid by accident. Sort of like: "Why is it you never can comb the coat?" makes NO sense at all; and they stare at me and burst out laughing. I get so MAD at that!
comb the coat???
it is pretty funny
done that too Nef...then steam comes out your ears right?
yeah. Makes no sense at all and *that* sort of stuff pops out whenever I'm upset
LOL! I once had finished bathing a patient at work and was settling him for sleep and I told him I was putting "2 heads under his pillow!"
when my son was little, he was really, really mad at me, and didn't have the language to express how mad he was, and in absolute fury he said "YOU ARE A REAAAAAALLLYYY BAD ACTRESS!" and I about fell over laughing, which made him even madder
can't get the last u one...a clue any one? have the torn ref....and the win one too...just cant see it
I meant 2 pillows under his head. (He was very ill, and I was trying so hard to help him relax and rest)
you must of been tired huh?
do you have the plural of the torn one?
Un + a marriage is a UN*** of 2 people
yes...
5/14 6/24 5/20
Very tired, Barb. I worked 12 hour nights in ICU
can't believe I didn't see that thxs
that is very tiring work I am sure
not only the long hours but dealling with very sick people
I need a clue for the middle i in the first column - have the in4, what is the other one, please?
I loved it, Barb. It was exhausting, but I really loved that job.

Hmm, aj5 is a term in Jainism - I know almost nothing of Jainism.
GO, TOR! You can do it!
I looked it up too, grem ;)
1 ..
past tense of "a short sleep during the day", minus last letter
ty gremlinn
great clue, gremlin! Thanks
If aj5 is a word, then so should be it without the a- in front, it seems. Not consistent, Enable!
grem, the def says that IS a word, but I guess enable doesn't know or care
Go torgone go!
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. It's as if "asymmetry" were a word but "symmetry" weren't.
Hello all! I am back from watching "General Hospital".
hello min
Rather, "asymmetry" being in some word list and "symmetry" not.
hi Min!
How are Luke and Laura doing?
Luke and Laura was long ago.Now it is Luke & Tracy.

Lurking fireworks - bbl for the flip
hi all--I need a clue for pe 6...
oh, nm, got it!
Hi MetFan :)
Why oh why did I start this grid?
Hi JC :)
it's tough jc
4 to go
Hi Jilli - fancy seeing you here? ;)
Don't worry, it'll be gone soon -- flip in a few minutes.
gogogo harp!
So I've noticed, Jane.
In over half an hour, yes...
we have to stop meeting like this, JC
Indeed.
metfan--Leslie Gore? Not someone I think about often!
I think met left, harp
ok
it's teensy. is it doable? I so deserve a good grid. *hugs everyone and blows kisses at JC*
hi stid!
you'll need lots of clues stid
oh well, I dived in fast. up to to ten already.
Well, hello stidmama - that's quite a greeting! :) It's doable if you're not me, apparently...
It's doable for YOU, maybe, stid! a few words which were new to gremlin -- need I say more?
gah. I am doomed, jill -- unless the "new" words are anything about teaching theory?
want a clue for aj5?
JC, when Mother and I visited Jill, she made us a SPECTACULAR recipe you had sent, rice and veggies and red wine. It was DELISH.
allo peeps! It's great to see Miss Jilli AND the wonderful Sir J.C....and stidmama, Jane
I just made another batch so I'll have lots to freeze.
Yes, stid - that's one of my favourites. :)
Glad you enjoyed it...
yes please jill, clues are lovely.
Hi pav :)
good idea, jill. I might make some this week and see what the fellas think.
hey PAV
aj + ***n the Terrible
Erm, PAV3 - I have never been knighted. Just so you know. ;) Hello to you, too...
it has to do with Jainism
In my world, I get to knight anyone I please...no offense intended...
thanks for those clues.
Why would you think I was offended? :/
down to 63
yw
do we have a list today?
I'm flattered you think I should be. ;)
Yes, Lickety came across
*adjusts JC's noble tiara* *wicked mama grin*
brb
thanks. will list early.
in case I offended any lurkers....an aminal lover and witty persona always gets high marks...
down to 61
HAHAHA. Yes, quite - tiara. ;)
Awww, well thank you PAV! :)
is the AS fishy?
btw, before I change my icon, it's a clue for ha7/36
Thank you for that, Jilli. :)
rather, stid -- headache remedy
I still won't make it though.
thanks jill and twice over!
never mind, JC!
Thrice, even.
the ha7/48 usually comes after be
and I haven't even begun! I'll wait patiently for the next one...
(Brit spelling)
now I'm going for a wee bit!
beheaded, jill???
down to 48...
Miss Jilli., while you were on your forced vaca, I managed to succeed at not falling off the treadmill, and the good doc...all two years old of him, said I am normally abnormal...the tick is a tick and otherwise I'm fine...
Tick, PAV?
oh! I got the clue!!! LOL
slight anomaly on a resting EKG sent me to the cardiologist for an in depth look-see
Ah. I have to get checked soon. :/
You're not the only abnormal one. :P
is the JA 5 fishy?
I like knowing I've a "condition" that will preclude me from engaging in death-defying activities
gah. yes, sushi-fishy! LOL
Ah. Perhaps I do, which will mean I won't be repeating my skydive anytime soon. I had already decided that at the time, though. :P
I have a condition that prevents the same thing, PAV. It's called "cowardice" ... I am highly risk-averse!
Yes. I have been a parachuting poofter...
how about the na 5?
I am not terribly "risk-averse", I'd just rather not get excited about anything labor intensive...like houseowrk
I actually am, but I risked it for a biscuit. I was willing, for a shilling...
I've been ballooning twice...first time involuntary, the second was a gift...very peaceful, once you get over the height issue...
just visiting Jill is about as scary as I can handle. I am such a scaredy-cat.
I will NEVER sky-dive. Not this acrophobiac!
Jill is scary?
I don't even like getting up a step on a ladder.
no, travel is scary. Being away from home is scary.
jill dear.... na 5 please?
Oh...
and the first ni 5 too, if you can?
Well, thanks, stid, I'm suuure. ;)
na5 -- dbl the cons in the back of your neck
to get over it ( for a while) I went to Six Flags Magic Maountaain in CA for aweekend with friends..we hit up every "coaster type" ride there was...I had to take my glasses off so I couldn't see what was happening...much easier to deal with the unknown than the visually known...
ni5 teenage mutant ni*** turtles (again)
I am not getting any of these clues. :/
thanks for the ni, still working on the na
I think my brain is asleep.
got it!
do you have the first na4?
think wine country Na Valley with another conso and prob other vowEl
JC, I have your icon now that I've gone out and in again
thanks friends. I thought you weren't playing yet, PaV? LOL
well I'm not entering any words, but I can still brsh up on my vision skills...
I don't, Jilli.
And I did that...
Oh well, JC, wait until after the flip.
Lord knows I need all the practise I can get...
stid -- I LOVE your icon!
can you brush up on the OU 5/12 pleaes?
thanks jill, thought you would!
stid, it's like the oo5 babblet
babblet Stid...akin to ghastly ee5
the ee5 is not in this puzzle...
thanks all. I am really tired tonight.
stid, could you email me some of those pics?
Hi everyone. Does anyone have a clue for the pa5,16 please?
still lack the OP 7...
hi bugs!
I just got it. All I had to was ask......
Hi jilli and stid and Pav
hey bugs
hiya Bugs!

yay bugs!
hi PAV
We had no power here all day because of the storm. It just came back on in time for me to finish
YAY bugs!!!
thanks jill, that's firewords for me, too.
stid you are a wonder!
yay finishers!,,and those of us unwilling to begin!
I had to use More words to get it done in tiem
Heavens to betsy, stid -- you're amazing!
we didn't lose power, but there was snow today, from home to the college, was just glad it didn't stick at the elevation I live at.
I had a lot of help, Jill, and listed WAY early today.
bugs, I was lucky here -- the wind was horrendous! Blew garden chairs all over the place.
I predict 247
So stid, will you send me some of those pix?
hope everyone is okay -- the oil refinery in Anacortes had an explosion late last night (not storm related, I think). so it has been a hard day here in Washington.
Mother took them all jill -- I didn't take my camera out once.
I hope it's a small grid. I am going to try to fit in some babble between studying and visiting with riemann who is spending tomorrow with us.
I always hope for a huge one.
Or at least some 10+ letter words
hi stid, grem, PAV, jilli!
