I am always vulnerable to winter lack of light. But I think the last 4,5 months of illnesses must have had a kind of purgeing effect. Both physically and psychically. Hard work in therapy will have helped too.

quick, very cute story: I worked with an actor named tommy once, and we became good friends. he is an absolute RIOT. He was saying that in his younger days, he was a bartender at a pretty sketchy bar. Sometimes people would get cute and order "drafties" and it drove the bartenders crazy. So Tommy decided "drafties" had crushed ice and a cherry in them. The customers would get all pissy, and he would look at them and say "What? you ordered a draftie, and this is one!" Oh, that cracked me up.....

I didn't find out she was having to do that until maybe a month into my classroom visits! it was really gratifying to know that even she was enjoying it!

My son allowed me to read to him until about age 9 or so, - never regretted a minute of it - I LOVED those books myself - Watership Down, Mattimeo, Redwall, etc. books he probably would not have been able to get through alone

Yesterday I had to share a lane with a rather large man. He was also a sloppy swimmer, I tried to beam positive wishes to him, but I found him irritating.
MCL stabilizes knee from lateral forces, so you flex + extend to swim.
Lap swimming is hard under those situations--slow or tsunami-creating swimmers.
