hey mcurl and barb!

hi again stid!

the young man that played "father" to Jordan's "little girl" has been nominated for one of the 5th avenue theater's HS Musical Awards!
woo hoo!
The musical also received a couple honorable mentions and a nomination for musical score (or something on that line)
how's school?
hey jill! I couldn't remember your new address, wanted to be sure you knew that I was able to sort things out for the stidkid
stid, my new address is at the bottom of my profile.
thanks jill. brb
I don't know what you mean, stid, about sorting things out...?
my usual 66 i am out poof
Apparently both copt and ebola are considered proper names
nice finds tho, douglas
back. one more week, mcurl, my teaching at the practicum site went well last week, and the teacher had many good comments for me. I will go again next Thursday for one final PARTY!!! (I get to bring tr6!)
night lmf
* mlf
It will be great.
Good news, stid!
cotto (as in cotto salami) doesn't work either
last time I saw you, jill, stidkid #1 had been completely boneheaded-stupid about an internet thing, risking his gmail account AND potentially setting himself up for identity theft. Got it sorted about 2 am our time...
yeah, stid (although sorry you had to experience the problem)
hs
Oh yes, I remember, stid -- I had come in at the end of that discussion and didn't know what had happened.
Glad you got it sorted.
hi razor
I am sorry, too. Am still more than 8 hours sleep-dep for the week. Will make it through tomorrow, but not overly worried. I think I am "Ready enough" for it.
that's great stid....we are done with school the 15th; head for NM the 17th to see son and other "sons" for a couple weeks.
very good! one kid is done with school on the 17th, the other on the 21st. I start my summer classes on the 22nd... LOL we are like ships passing in the night!
sorry about the sleep issue, but you're good...you'll do well and come out just fine * proud big sis grin *
I bet. know the feeling!!
summer classes, stid? Aren't you ever going to take abreak?
next summer, jill. I will skip graduation and sleep ALL summer long (when not sending out job applications...)
thanks pini! *pleased little sis grin*
I don't know how you can do it, stid.
um... young(er) and dumb(er), Jill?
sounds like a good plan.
Your choice, stid!
and to be honest, this summer it's only two classes for a full load for half the summer, instead of a double load all summer while planning and hosting an international meeting of scientists and putting up the grandson of our dear friend from Tbilisi at the same time....
OH. AND I am caneless now, which speeds everything up so much!
<-- faints at the idea
...and don't forget our babble meet!!!
70 words and I am off to bed...hoping to sleep better tonight after getting hit in the back with one of the other horse's heads
night barb
yes, but our babble meet is FOR FUN. and it's only a couple dozen folks at most... and I don't have to plan lodging for you all!
feel better, barb!!
Night barb -- you take it easy, now!
sweet dreams, barb. feel better!
congrags on no cane; and whew! your summer is going to be busy...
going to try (careful hugs)
night barb
that's right, have tent, will pitch! LOL
I was thinking wottle as in "This here's the wottle, it's the emblem of our land, you can stick it in a bottle you can hold it in your hand" would be a word, but the Python word is spelled wattle
thanks mcurl, still hoping to see you there also! :-D
Stid -- we will need advice on where to stay!
oh oh douglas. *points to PB*
I'm looking forward to the babble meet....don't have to go far!
yes, advice I can give! will contact everyone on the list after next Friday...
Sadly trudges off to PB
Oh, good!
if anyone's interested in doubling/tripling up...I'm game
*wonders how much a portable hot tub would rent for...*
oh, stid...are there any hostels in your area?
here comes the latest version of the paper the stidkid is working on... he is going to share with his father.otts
* waves to stidkid *
I don't see what doug is in the PB for :(
he said a word, jilli
well, yes, but I don't see what word he said.
(begins with B)
oh, ty pini ;)
back. I don't know about hostels.
I'll look, stid...no worries
I know there are people who share housing with travelers using something like craig's list?
The babble meet is helping to keep me sane. It will be my reward for surviving this year, and the coming summer months (don't ask...)
hosters, B&Bs, hostels, etc...I'll do some tinkering around while I'm home tmw
okay pini
well friends....it's been a long week (today is my friday) work was rough so I'm hitting the pillow....night
I need the upper Es and the lower right O for NBT... any help? I am going to have to sleep soon.
night mccurl!
sweet dreams, mcurl. ((hugs)) see you again soon!
yep
ot7, stid
G'night mcurl
is it a common word, pini?
missing the top center 3 and H for nbt
yes, stid
YES. it is. found it!
;)
oh. I need that T too! LOL
Must go, too...Bye all!
Is it ok for me to say I'm not enjoying this grid?
sure, douglas! :)
night jellen
((Jellen)) I didn't see you! (((more hugs))) see you next time maybe? LOL
ah. upper left E is short word for the black wood on piano keys
thx stid
5 greys now!
yw pini
"teopan" is a phantom for me today
go pini go!
upper right E is babblet. E 4/7
I remember reading a Star Wars novel, and the author used lots of synonyms for black when describing Darth Vader
thx again stid
I think one might have to, if trying to avoid redundancy. That is such a good vocab builder! LOL
2 for nbt (but made 1/2-way!!!)
now just that pesky T for NBT
I'm missing the upper right N, bottom right O, and that T up top.
I need the H, too
ne6
ot7
the 8/9 are crazy ones
one H is 4/8, to lift something heavy
looks like a typo almost
8/9? oooh. hadn't even looked at the stats yet! LOL
thx stid
what do they start with, grem?
co
just the lowsy T now
got down to 12 before I went licking
go gremlinn go!
well done, grem...
(but not done yet? you're slowing down!) * evil grin *
I finished a few minutes ago
YAY gremlinn!!!!
wtg on hitting the line ;)
oh! I got that T... hold on.
te 6/21, unusual. want more?
* holding *
* lemme look first *
is the P involved?
no, but the C is.
past halfway, btw
apparently the co8 is a type of skunk - perhaps Mexican or South American - from the ending it does look like that kind of origin
it was a 50/50 shot, stid
true pini *sigh* I am SOOOOO tired!
I GOT THE BIGGIES!!!!! *jumping up and down* grazie bene, Gremlinn!!!!
me, too...so I think I'm going to call it a night...back in the morning for more fun...cya then (take care all)
hehe
* ciao *
night
sweet dreams pini *yawn* (ciao, abbiento)
and me too outta here. andiamo! *poofiamo*

ASLING FOR YOUR GOOD WISHED AND PRAYERS TONIGHT BABIES. HUBBIE IS IN HOSPITAL WITH DOUBLE PONEUMONIA
sorry -- distracted.
Oh -- best of luck to you and your hubby, s'mom!
thanks jil
aw s'mom, all the best!
morning all
thanks spriter
he should be much better soon, s'mom
we are hoping spriter- he has emphysema and copd so it is a rough go
bad combination :( But he is in good hands.
yup
weird grid, this one. Looks like there cannot be more than half the amount of words.
You got it....sammysmom.
hi peach
Hi there, sprite.
Gorgeous icons, everybody
hi helen, and thnx :)
tows
swot
lol, you need to change the position of the cursor
SORRY - should quit and go to be - as soon as I've entered this word I just found!
it happens. To all of us. Error in the design of the site!
Haven't found a clue word yet, though.
hello jilli
Well, I mean a good one.
Hi sprite :)
I feel kind of blind. There should be a lot more words but I cannot seem to find anymore
There are days like that.
ok, I have an icon clue
Oh, very good, sprite -- thanks!
yvw!
found 2 endings and that gave me a second wind
but can't for the life of me find the last biggies. Still need C8/9, no doubt a co5.
I have no biggies at all -- they'll just have to wait ;)
Well, I do have a 7
lol I'd like to finish. But those Cs are elusive
Cs usually are, I find.
all this grid needs is a couple of k's
Hi ru ;)
lol ruru, go wash your mouth!
GE ladies
vowel words are even harder than C words. but I do have the upholstered stool. Ruru, do you have the C8/9?
no.. but I will look for it
thank you!
c omattows
ouch... am very sorry. And ashamed.
think it is a compount word?
am trying things with the rock, but that doesn't work so far. And with the deep sleep. So far no joy.
hi eeveryone
found a co7
hi Andree :) Terra says hi. Or rather WROOF! He found a new game he likes: hunting a tennis ball when my son hits it as far as he can with a racket. Runs like mad!
maybe it builds on that 7?
Hi Andree.
if only we had a -nce ending
lol ruru... alt. spelling -tenhs?
and hugo says woof back, i have a thing which flings the ball and its great exercise
sprite, I've found the co8 and co9 using morewords. It's a very unusual structure at the end, building on a co4/5.
hi Haz, good morning. Thanks, to a2z for me then, if you call it very unusual I don't think I will be able to find it without extra help.
Good morning/evening all. No problem, sprite.
hi haz
and woof to spangle too
Hello, Andree!
I don't think morewords could save me on this one
oh dear. Found it... must look up def!
me either ruru, will wait for a clue
ruru, the ends sound like the coloured leaves of flowers.
but very very alternate spelling
Do you want a clue, ruru? Follow the pine fruit with start of Ireland's saint, wrap up with an unexpected consonant.
And then plural.
I cheated. I opened a2z on co and looked for an 8 letter word that Haz would call very unusual.
No dictionary definition givem for it either, or at least not dictionary.com.
am trying to find a def
Maybe it's a Mexican volcano like Popocatapetl
thx haz and sprite, that was enough to get it to jump out from morewords
aaargh..
hi jilli
You're welcome, Andree. Hello, jillibus.
hi andree -- I'm really just getting ready for beddy
it means: The Mexican name of a skunk, especially the white-backed skunk
close, jilli!
Hi haz and ty.
well, I got the Mexican bit right ;)
Well, there you are now. When I encounter a Mexican white backed skunk, I'll know what to call it - apart from Stinky.
exactly :) You should get points for that. Haz, well found!
I don't think I will call it. I will run away.
Haha!
skunky fireflies!
Thank you, morewords!
Congrats, sprite!
ahhhhhhhhhh.. got it
tricky grid for me.
Congratulations, sprite!
yayyy ruru, weird ones, huh!
very
I wonder how many times it will be clued today?
in the morning like every 2 minutes
close to uncountable, I'd say. I will try to remember this one. It is crazy enough to be funny.
thanks all. Off to the rest of my day then with me. Have a lovely sleep, jilli and ruru, and a lovely day, Haz. Bye all!
Bye sprite, enjoy your day.
Bye sprite :)
bye sprite
did you finish already sprite?
wow
The rest of us just stand in her slipstream, ruru.
hi angelyne
hello Nikko
helloooo
Hellooooo to you.
hey.. give me some
some what???
some what???
some what???
some what???
some what???
some CRAB for my restaurant city.
uh oh
how are you and La Glitterata?
reap
I'm well and so is Spangletinarina. How are you?
hi ata
Good! Hobbit is looking at me as if I'm mean and cruel. SHe only had M&S premium dog food for breakfast
Not Harrod's?
I would have expected eggs and mashers
ruby makes her dogs' food from scratch. We're bad owners in comparison.
she has a truly awful life
yes, I know! I am shamed!
676 pts. so far.
Feed them nothing, keep them mean. Mmmm - perhaps that is meant to be for husbands
I take it you're not going to be able to get to London to meet ruby?
<< this husband does all the cooking..
hugo likes best whatever we are eating, i have had to cut down his intake when he stopped growing he has become very solid
Who wants a lean, mean husband?
some of us don't even want a husband, lol
no :( physio told me to wander around and walk the dog, but I don't think she meant go up to LOndon for the day!
Of course, there's labrador in Hugo, isn't there?
I think you're wise, Ata, you'd be exhausted lumbering around.
Hobbit is the same, she wants whatever I have. It must be The Best
no poodle and spaniel haz
You got to physio this week Ata?
Sorry, Andree (apologies Hugo). So we can't blame the labrador instinct for hoovering up food....
tart
any ideas on the single n in the corner?
Split pea soup.
but having had spaniels before , they can run to fat if overfed, he is 9 months now and the appetite has slowed thank goodness, he is bigger than i expected
For some, at least (ne6)
yes, went to physio yesterday :)
somebody said n6, ruru, but I don't have it.
ne6, I think
ne6 - delicious tasting. Hence the reference to split pea soup, the subject of a babble vote the other day.
who is this dill giving out words we already have?
funny Haz - got it
thx haz
oh, didn't get the split pea nudge :(
mmmmm split pea soup!!
thank you
yum
ty for the ne6 (split pea soup???)
I don't think you were around at the time, jillibus. It caused fierce divisions of opinion. To my horror, split pea soup lovers won. Ruru was the official in charge of counting.
Ah.
*smirk*
We had postal votes, proxy votes, dogs, cats and dead relatives voting.
though I think most did wish for ham with the split pea
Haz was pulling every trick to pull the vote...
I abstain.
Yes, ham seemed to be the ingredient that swung it for most people.
i have 1 ham bone left from christmas in the freezer[ i collected everyones] must use it soon
using dead people and people down the hallway
good morning all, how many words today please
271
Don't forget, ruru, I know all the Irish tricks for voting. Vote early, vote often etc.
thanks
haz watched that scene in the Exorcist too much to enjoy soup
Haz? The exorcist? LMAO
Exactly! I'm too much of a coward to watch any scary stuff.
i have never actually had pea soup without the ham bone so maybe my vote was invalid [ i thought i was voting for pea and ham soup]
uh.. andree..all split pea soup (if properly made) is made with ham bones.. your vote stays
Andree raises a good point. Maybe the vote should be rerun on the basis of split pea alone, no extras allowed.
I still abstain
(chicken)
It's not like you to sit on the fence, jillibus!
I prefer Potage Mongole <sniff>
We don't get that on many menus here.
no recounting at this stage!
Hehe, it's so easy!
how do you know when potage mongole is ready to serve.. when attila
(groan)
ruru has ruined his own punch line.
?
very pleased that bo7.36 is accepted, good old Aussie slang
Have to start a mental check list of Aussie slang.
all I can see now is botswot (please don't let that bethe right answer)
is that before or after mexican skunks?
mexican skunks?
the bo7/36 I have doesn't look like slang
It's not a boomerang, at least.
co8/9
no ata but you can manage 2 words from that
reckon it will take me about 2 hours to work up to co8/9
One who puts liquid in glass containers? For the bo7?
BBS last tray of Anzacs to take out
Yes Haz, same word, diff meanings
Morewords was pressed into service for co8 and 9. Have I ever mentioned this wonderful resource?
< never heard of morewords
its also a term here for " its good" as in" its a bo7"
what, ruru???
never, haz
Look closely, jillibus. Sarcastic font being employed liberally.
of course, duh.
*giggle*
dylan wants to go to bed..50 left for today (later).. night all...going to check out moresleep
night ruru and dylan -- good idea
Good night, ruru, sleep well! You too, Dylan.
goodnight Ruru
just made a pot of split pea soup - its yummy
bye ruru
hi Sandy
Hello, sandyloo.
and that aussie slang, can't figure that one ?
BINGO~!
LOL
with or without the ham bone sandy?
hi lyn and everyone
ROFL>>>
hi sandy
has to be made with a ham bone or the flavour is not right
nods head
I missed this conversation
All those poor piggies sacrificed for the sake of split pea lovers. Is there not a veggie version?
haz doesn't partake of the split pea liquid nourishment
tofu bone?
Haz stands on the sidelines and makes faces at the thought of the stuff.
Would vegetable stock and half a canister of salt not do the trick?
piggies were sacrificed because they were boared anyway
You can't just throw all those ham bo**s away Haz, did not your Mother teach you thrift?
oooh Ruru, shocking
It was my mother who put me off split pea soup!
lol ruru
go to bed, ruru!
my mother put me off fish soup
She made it, I ate it, but never enjoyed it.
potage de charlotte
oooo ballymena quizzes!
My husband makes a glorious fish soup, lovely and orange with saffron and carrots and sweet potato - delicious
there is a saying here in California though ..haz
no swine before its time....
my mothers was white and glutinous, awful
that sounds *gorgeous* lyn
and the silly part is she was a truly fantastic cook
now I would vote against fish soup
I would have voted along with you Ruru until I had the one my husband makes
well, 114 left -- off to bed! Night all here, g'day all there, g'deve down under!
and I wouldn't flounder on the vote either
fish soup yuck!!!
sheesh
I heard yesterday about a man, left by his with easy to cook food in her absence. He declared that the fish in parsley sauce had been very watery. He'd only put the whole thing in instead of boiling in the bag...
1 for 2 against
nite Jilli
Cod preserve us!
bye jilli
ROFL jilli
Sleep well, jillibus. May you not dream of Mexican skunks or fish soup!
says jilli from her perch
*drifts off*
bye jilli
or as D said yesterday: "we've run out of porridge oats? how do I get some more?"
E-bay!
I didnt dignify it with an answer lol
seriously? still maybe he thought you had some secreted away
lol yes I'm sure, Lyn, it just sounded soooo funny
grow a crop of oats , harvest them and then thrash them on a rock and crush them -Bingo! porridge
Of course, if you were a Sc4, you'd have drawer porridge made for emergency situations like that.
of course! and it's not even as if I can run down to the shops to provide more oats!
ahem - oa** ladies please
oh my cod! I didn't see that one
It's Ata's fault. She started it. Bad Ata!
ooops. I havent started teh grid yet. Blame FM!
no, she's sick, she can't be blamed
FM's sick?
They're going down like ninepins.
Ata. Takes a bit of time to get the message thru from down here
Is there a Brit left standing apart from me?
have to go bbl
me! duh! :D
bye sandy
I'm not sick! just ... a little ... um ...
but you are only half standing ata
Oh, that's a relief. Ata's sick and can't be blamed, FM's fine but isn't to be blamed. Have I got that right?
and since when were there Eurovision semi-finals?
I can stand :D I don't have my brace on any more :D
last year at least
is it the flu, i had my first flu shot ever today
I know! I think they did it last year, but didn't televise it.
it's very odd ...
we are having them over 3 nights
I'll be honest, I know that Britain's song is sung by Josh somebody, but not a notion about what it sounds like.
You don't mean you get inflicted with Eurovision in Australia?
Did it include the swine flu Andree?
Eurovision contest has almost a cult following here
morning all........there has been semi finals in the Eurovision for some years....ever since those eastern European countries split up (& soviot block plit)....too many countries in Europe for straight final!!!!
hi Ishult
yes lynxx, its 3 shots in 1, i also had a pneumonia shot
Dear me. The two reasons I ever watched it was 1. Terry Wogan's commentary and 2. The voting and the attempts by the hosts to be hip and trendy while panicking madly.
hi ishult
I must get it too Andree, thankyou
I haven't watched it since Wogan went either
I think most Britons lost interest when it became clear that we could never win again. It's not that we're sore losers or anything.
oigdf
We have sent 2 comic commentators over for our own coverage
oh oh I read a wonderul description of British attitudes to losing *finds it again*
sorry thats cosmo the cockatiel loves to jump from my shoulder to the keyboard
They should have plenty of material, lynxxx, some of the acts have to be seen to be believed.
cosmo the casanova
i have to ban him during office hours as he whistles so loudly in my ear when the phone rings there is no way i can hear anything
lol
no actually, it was about Britain winning stuff "This proposal from the British delegation was typical of our faux-humble demeanour at this stage in the proceedings: it's easy to be magnanimous when you're clearly winning, especially in a contest in which you are feigning absolute indifference"
PHone.
Back - and will have to take a break. See you later!
bye Haz
bye Haz and La Spanglettina!
BBL going to st5.10 at the fridge and see what I can make for dinner
nice food hopefully!
ouch - Latvia is awful. The girl is badly off key and forgot to put her dress on, is in her little satin bath robe. They won't get through
she going for the "look at my body" rather than "I can sing" route?
I think so, she was pretty. Unfortunately that wasn't enough
awww
Serbia was good. Poland is just strange, very
Good morning Ata and lynxx
what are you watching
hi Nono. Ist semifinals of the Eurovision Song Contest. Do you get it in the US?
No at least not on cable
Poland is always strange :D
hi nono!
is it something like the America's got Talent or Britan's got Talent?
It is pretty over the top.
Not at all
Goodlooking guy from Belgium, pleasant song. Bet he wins
Ireland really wants to win
The girl from Malta is only 18, she looks like a 45 year old cabaret singer!
I don't think Ireland is in this round. Who have they entered?
um ... some good looking guy!
Albania is pretty sharp too.
was just reading about it on wikipedia, Ireland is in the second semifinal
Would Australia really love to enter the Eurovision?
nothing to do with the songs really...all political voting..
morning all
hi Kallia
hi Kallia
I don't think it is us Ata
says the country who made Priscilla QUeen of the Desert :P
Yeah, you are right. Don't forget Strictly Ballroom too
***Lori stands in the back of the room sending Nono a great big a** hug or three.*** G'd morning people! I guess.....
gidday Lori, how nice to see you
hi Lori!
Lynx!!! Nono!!! One more pot of coffee and I should be semi functional.
mAta Hari not speaking today? :p
can I share that pot of coffee with you?
being lazy this morning and havent started the coffee yet
Absolutely. You can never have too much coffee can you?
she has probably fallen over in shock and with that contraption on her leg she'll have trouble getting up
never !
got some fresh Anzac biscuits to go with that coffee if you like
Oh dear. I hope I didn't exacerbate her injury......
sounds good lynx
I've no idea what an Anzac biscuit is, but I'll try it, sounds good. :)
Recipe is on my profile actually, along with a 'delicious' rhubarb cake recipe
LORI!!!!
sorry, HObbit was being a brat
Hobbit being a brat? Shirley not.
Hobbit could never be a brat!
never ever :D
saw your rhubarb cake recipe and thinking I ought to give it a try while the rhubarb is still nice
It is beautifully tart Nono, lovely with cream
will have to convert the measurements first
about how much butter is 60g?
I've made up some great words for that stoopid P. Why must my creativity be denied?
same reason mine has been denied Lori. I bet I've tried 40 or 50 variations with the p
resulting in only 6 good ones
Disheartening isn't it. *sigh*
am doing more of a mo4 than a sigh myself
I have 7. Close enough......
Okay 8 but that's my final offer
500 grams is about a pound, so about 1.5 ounces - I think Nono
ok thanks lynx
Have you got P & the german guy?
BRATLING DOG!!
Gah, that p's done now. Stoopid 6 ending in a number. ***ponders teh German guy***
hmmm looking for the german guy
Hobbit in need of a doggy Therapist today?
yes!!
brb I think I'll take her into the garden for 10 minutes
10? You're optimistic.... Laters!

Hello, TO! How are you?
i am well since i decided to st5 the holiday today
Do you have a holiday weekend coming up? We have a holiday on Monday.
Or is this a proper holiday?
yes. monday is memorial day. and you?
It's a Bank Holiday on Monday which will be observed by some but not all. It's not a public holiday.
i am recuperating from concert last night.
Why the need for recovery?
late night after working. needed to sleep.
it's the quiz queen!
also was just blown away
Ah, fair enough. I wondered if you had been emotionally overcome or something.
Hello Ata!
close. very very good performance
That's good - what concert was it?
you will laugh.
Laugh? Moi?
I've just found a wonderful title to a paper - "Exploratory co-management interventions in Kuiburi National Park, Central Thailand, including human-elephant conflict mitigation"
Known for blending traditional Jewish themes with Reggae, rock and hip hop sounds, Matisyahu is most recognizable for being a hasidic Jew. http://tinyurl.com/3958gxf
sounds wonderful!
i like reggae
see if you can find any music by a band called Oojami, from over here. I think you'd like
ata it was magical. he came down fromt he stage and removed tha barriers. tones of kids too and no trouble
the power of reggae born of one religion with the themes of another
That's great, no aggression or nastiness there, by the sound of it.

what is an icon clue?
SPangle is very pe4!
Traditionally on a Friday, players can find a picture to illustrate a word in the grid.
So, you could have an oyster or something to illustrate pe5.

Good Morning Fellow Babblers
Herin, are you out of jail already?
howdy nef
oh,you been bad girl herin?
hi crossy
Wow. I broke the chat
Yep.
It was gun
fun
:-(
**don't fall asleep and type)
LOL! Here I thought you were agreeing that I broke the chat! INstead (I hope) you were agreeing that you were out of jail!
I had a good night
I was agreeing that I am at home
have to stop waving guns around herin:)
Crossy I was in lock up for a couple of hours to show what it is like on the inside. Big fund rasing thing
ahh ok lol
are you at Walmart herin?
And I'm proud you did it! If I had ANY $$$ I would pledge you (but my hours were cut and I haven't been working much due to DH being ill
would have been more fun minus a massive bruise on my leg and shoulder from fallen over from a hit run (car vs tram I was on the tram)
OH, MY, herin! What happened?
Nef thank you for your kind gesture. We raised more than enough this time
What happened??? Well I was standing on the tram and this dumbnuts ran a red light hit the tram at the front and drove off. I fell over and bruised my left lower leg and shoulder.
Police issued a warning for the vehicle as it was badly damaged and the paramedics said it was just a nasty bruise. I was not missing out on tonight. Nor was I going to hospital nor was anyone going to cut my tights of (I have had them for 10 years)
Dang! I hope they catch the driver and hang them by their thumbs and put them away for a long time (and make them pay for all of the restitution too)
I just hope they are found and they get in trouble for failing to stop at an accident. At least I am youngish and fairly bouncing (Added padding) and it wasn't someone elderly or pregnant that fell over or the tram was packed
I'm glad that didn't happen too.
But I'm sorry you got hurt
tane
sorry, not a word
That is ok I am springy
I really should have gone to bed. Now the couch is commfy
oh-oh. You're in trouble now, herin. ;-)
Yep. Couch has eaten me
How many words today?
Right lovely talking to you all. i am going to find my bed, 271 words
Thanks
Dang. Just looked at the time. DH should be done with his first 3 therapies; I need to do some stuff before I go over and see him. 55 words in half an hour down. See you later!
Take care and Hugs NEf

pe 4,6 clue please
Pe4/6: chest muscles.
ah, ty so much
Good news ... my laptop has just been repaired ... hopefully for good. It's only a year old, but last winter I needed a new motherboard. Last week they put in a new motherboard, and today a new screen.
Hi Merk, see you laptop is up and running. Technology is great when it works--otherwise it makes good paper weights.
does anyone have an icon clue?
My icon is always idiosynratic at least. It is listed somewhre.
It looks like Rocky the Flying Squirrel's evil twin, stid!
I've been going around and around - anyone got a clue for the co8?
clue for the 8 and 9's please?
(From earlier) have an ice cream co** + family on your father's side is ***erna*. Then plural.
now THERE's a word I have never used in a sentence!
It is a beaver, castor, in honor of Quebec. I know it is unusual, but it is the right number of pixels and doesn't slow the chat down which one of my icons did and that made everyone unhappy.
no def I see
This ea7...does it have a sensible ending?
hm, "the skunk"
Thank you, thank you, thankyou - if I had tried to monkey that, I would neve been here still next week (blindly trying to monkey around in a vanished grid!).
it's the bottom bit of the organ on the side of your head.
*smacks self*. Thanks! I kept trying to work it like a royal or something.
Ah, I thought it was related to the worthy gentleman words surrounding it, too. Uniquity. We are in the same rocky boat.
Thanks helensgirlkid.
Always good to be in good company!
I kept trying todrag the noble gentlement around!
Ny typing probably didn't help! Except it might have gotten bad enough to slip that last consonant in by mistake!
What is a little consonant between freinds?
or frieds if you prefer.
Maybe even friends? :)
Possibly amies.
Perfect!
I'm just being silly. It is raining here as usual and the only way we know it is spring is that the leaves are turning green instead of reds and yellows and dropping off.
We had to go to Canada to get warm.
Oh my. We had a 30 degree weekend but this week has been off and on rainy and blah.
Okay, the ma9 builds off the four before it, add a rock or s5 to complete.
It snowed here overnight. I knew we had to have March sometime!
Are you in Alberta, helens? CBC radio said there was snow there. I snickered quietly. :)
Definitely amies! I had to answer the phone - an arrogant fellow who wanted to give me a cellphone.
Of course!
Help - I think I just typed something inhere - probably wrong, but still.
I guess not - my cursor just went offscreen or something.
You're good, Helens!
The computer is being very odd to day, though. Quirky doesn't cover it.
You should threaten to send it to its room without any dinner!
That doesn't even work with the cats!
Oh cats. The cat in the house we are staying at broke open my kitties treats and ate them all. Big glutton!
Ty uniquity got the sedimentary stone that is found in parts of Alberta, CA.
This cell phone fellow - when I had informed him I didn't want the cell phone and couldn't afford its service package anyway, I hung up. He phoned back and whined "why did you hang up on me?"! I asked for his supervisor, and all triumphant, he says "i am the supervisor", so I threatened to write to Bell Canada. He said (I'm quoting) "Lady Bell OWNS Canada"!
Bell does not own Canada! Also, that is incredibly rude and sounds more like a scam then a Bell representative.. Hanging up was a good call, Helens!
Bell is ubiquitous in Canada. Bell Centre in Montreal is like a huge pilgrimage site.
At least when I hung up the third time, he stayed hung up on. I think maybe I will write Bell and maybe CRTC as well. ALas, more energy-demanding effort, all to not have a cell phone!
I was always under the impression that Rogers was a strong competitor for bell in central and western Canada. In NS, Rogers stinks though.
I would be very cautious about Rogers. They are strong here, but we had avoided them until suddenly we started getting phone bills from them - they had bought out Sprint. We switched back to Telus. Telus is still very big in the west, adn actually offers fairly sane cell phone plans - my son is on Fido, and it's pretty good.
I use Telus and enjoy it. They share the Aliant/Bell towers as well as their own, offering really nice coverage.
Have you seen the new TV ads for WIND? A hotdog seller, very swarthy, with a strong accent, is trying to charge more for the bun, the mustard, the napkin, plus a convenience charge - I had been impressed by their print ads, and had put them with fido and Koodo on the list of companies I would consider if I ever did get a cell phone, but this was quite racist. I wrote to them, but either they are baffled, or they only answer mail they like.
We have ads (I don't remember what they are selling) that have the same line: Do you want to buy everything the same way you buy an automobile? Bargain down every point?
I believe I have seen those ads. I try to ignore commercials, but it seems familiar.
I think Dr. God's dictionarist took a short trip to Italy and was over-impressed with his mastery of the lnaugage.
Yes, we are definitely getting lots of Mediterrean style words. Hooray ! or something ol 4, 4.
I had ad first associated the ad with those featuring a man in a suit (looks a lot like Stephen Harper) cheating children in a variety of way - which impinge on my mind just enough to set off disgust - but I got the full force of this one one evening for some reason, and wow, was I unimpressed!
wind used to sound good to me as well helen with that nice unlimited north america package,BUT i found out that you can only get that rate if you are in one of WIND,S transmission tower "hot spots" and if you are not the pricing is vastly different
Yes. And what about the ads for VW that has people hitting each other on the arm? Where is this coming from?
thats a take off of the old punch buggy game we all used to play with the old volkswagon bettles of the 60,s and 70,s stid
Speak for yourself, Crossey - but weren't those beetles nice! (well the 50s and early 60s - they got a bit strange after about 67.
yes i like the old beetle helen
i can still hear those 1600 cc engines shifting up into the big gear lol
My first new car was a 64 VW Beetle. I loved it.
and that great instrument cluster all on one big central dial:))
my first new car was a 59 Beetle..those were the days
and the clutch and 5 gears
and hello everyone, I 'm back for my last 23
My first new car was a VW van - 64. The year they redesigned the clutch, and it had to be replaced every six months! The first replacement was on warranty, of course, but fortunately we managed to sell it (to someone who knew all about it, from Purdue) just before the warranty ran out.
lol, miss on the downshift going up hill and the things used to drift back:)..i can still see every interior detail in my mind
Hi Annie.
hi helen
our was a 69
Wouldn't you know it? ... My last word was a word for a woman's sanitary protection ... does it never leave us?
... and Fireworks!
I had a 67 Beetle bug - blue, followed by a blue 71 VW sedan (engine blew up), followed by a 69 VW squareback-red, followed by a 72 VW van (cracked engine block). These days, I drive a Saturn :)
...and congrats, merk!
Good for you merk! I was off the grid for a little trying to find where the pictures are hidden on my husband's computer (his request to search.) No luck.
my daughter knows the punch buggy game and she's only 24
I say only because it makes me feel younger lol
I have 22 words to find and 11 hours to do it. That means 1 word per half hour. Good odds!

i've only had indoor elephant ear plants ..didn't know you could do the outdoor thing
it is a specific climate Joanne, and I know that I can no longer tolerate all that cold winter weather.
THey do grow outside.
Of course everything grows here...
Good old Google!
LOL
This year I am watering my plants with the fish tank water and they seem to be growing very very well due to the nutrients in the water.
Of course, the elephant ears my mother and I delighted in when we were in NYC came from Cushman's and had flours, not flowers. ;)
Oh oh, I love those too!
Does anyone have a clue for the ra 7/36 word please

I just heard about Gary Coleman's death on Extra,so sad! I LOVED him on the show Different Strokes. Too bad his adult life wasn't so wonderful. He was only 42!
from where jill
swmbo = She Who Must Be Obeyed, in case you didn't realise.
i knew there was a hidden message jill dang

I want to finish. thats all.
ahh
otherwise I feel fine.
you weedbee?
i bee good
LOLOL
is it a nasty one? kje's not here at the moment to torture, nothing else to do (besides clean, that is)
its sort of a regular grid, ever since the monster one a few weeks ago I have had trouble finishing.
ahh, ok. poor red!
oh no red! well, i guess if i cared about finishing, i wouldn't be too happy either
well, i'll be a good girl, clean up the dining room, and then come back and play. maybe by then you'll be all done!
i like to finish I dont know why,
when i first started babbling years ago i HAD to finish every day

i gave that up tho
I am not that obsessive, but I do like to complete.
makes sense
hi everyone

oh duh...ty pk!

Hello Babble Friends
just passing through - anyone need any clues???
hi mom needs how is the quitting?
hi mom
quitting is still quitting at 37 days
hello andree
37 days is awesome. awesome.
one month, one week. lots of cash saved.
isnt it??? unfortunately craving are just as bad as day 1 - but this woman is fighting the battle and winning......
Andree - your grandchildren are beautiful - look at all those blondies - how lucky you are
Mom needs the winning is super important.
yes it is - so where is the prized bathing suit red - hmmm?
good for you mom, i have stopped too many times to count, this time i haven't had a cigarette since new years day, i had to resort to drugs so no cravings just missing the habit
I swam in it today, it still raises eyebrows.
wow - good for you andree - I am taking the drugs too - but I must have gotten the placebo but it is not helping with the cravings at all
champix?
Im not refilling for the next month - not worth the money -- the US version Chantix
Magic game tongiht, so I need to support, especially after the Boston sportswriter recommends knocking out our centers teeth!
Its $150 Us a month and not cutting the craving at all so I am on my own after another two weeks
*Mom being quiet about Boston basketball*
Hi all, just being nosy, and good for you to quit smoking, just hang in there. Me, after over 50 yrs quit about 7 years ago, with patches and drugs but did it. Worse thing I've ever done but well worth it but still miss it.
I just dont think advocating physical violence is a good idea.
COngratulations Mary!!!!!!!
so after 5 weeks of not smoking, today was a dress down day at work - went to put my jeans on and they didnt even get close to closing - hmmm - how depressing is that - so going to join something real soon
agree red. that's taking it too far. the players are people, and i think sometimes that is forgotten.
it's different for everyone mom, but i have several friends who had success with hypnosis
If ever, and I hope not, something dreadful happens, going to start up again, one in each hand. Mom, don't worry about the weight, but you just have to exercise regularly, walking is best, but daily and at least 30 minutes
Yes Mary, I understand all too well - I smoked for 38 years - and it is by far the hardest thing I have ever done to stop.
I have thought the same Mary - just went for mammo and physical - all was well - but if they found anything - thats it - I am going out happy
we think alike.
mom here the 1st 3 months of champix is government funded, so only cost about $50 for the scripts, now I am on my own and paid $220 for present script , then i am on my own, i have ofcourse saved a lot more than that by not buying cigarettes
I tried hypnosis years ago and it didnt work - I dont think they were able to get me under
tried the hypnosis and also acupuncture and neither worked.
its $150 a month for me - insurance does not pay for it. I am going to finish out the 60 days I paid for and stop. I really dont feel it is doing anything for me.
Shame on that insurance Mom needs, really they should cover it...you will be much healthier after you quit.
I really think when you are ready to quit in your own mind, you will do it no matter what. My husband has not quit and I am angry about that - has made it hard on me. He reminds me it is a individual decision. Well so be it - I am quitting for me and quess what I did it - strong woman - weak man!!!!
My New hospital has all these employee programs, givign you a bunch of quit smoking stuff and also 6 months at the gym free to try to get peoples weights and cholesterols down. It is good...
that is outrageous mom! my insurance would cover it
what a shame it hasn't worked for you , i find the champix fantastic, no craving at all, now i am only taking 1 a day so i can stretch it out
insurance companies are infuriating nutballs
Oh Oh JMC, the game is on (ha ha you poor thing).
i was just about to ask how we were doing red
Hey JMC - my company is self - insured but use Cigna as their administrator. Most employees think it is Cigna - I know better being in HO. Small company cant afford the high premiums so they dont cover much but charge lots - hmmm - I understand but dont agree
hard to argue against that point pk
my insurance wont cover it , but i will be able to claim it on my tax return
agreed.
mom needs will also claim it on taxes.
hostile crowd.
i have run a lot of small companies and always thought it made more sense to pay nontaxable things like insurance than taxable salary
yeah right red....
what are you watching red
probably won't be able to take on taxes because of the floor
so jmc how are ya
the Easern Conference Playoffs.
hi mom glad you are hanging in there
don't think the Magic can just do another Pick and roll game only.
basketball andree
so I was checking out my nieces facebook and she and her friends are just livid - aparently our beloved pres is going on vaca and not visiting arlington on memorial day???? Is that true???
thx jmc, was just sitting here wondering what pauoffs?
payoffs too
aaagh!! playoffs
lol there are always a few things that need translation
Not starting out well for the magic.
it is true mom
he's sending biden in his place
free throws missed.
grunt - how poor is that!!!
night all, enjoy the game
I think I may have to stop babbling and pay attention to rondo.
but he will be at the national cemetery near chicago paying respects
the president who started the war didn't go to arlington on memorial day either -- but then he is white
Mom, it does not bother me and I come from a family with a very long tradition of Military service. Up until we became QUakers and now have no tradition of military service.
Her husband and brother just got deployed two weeks ago to Iraq - she was supposed to go but didnt at the last minute. I dont blame her for being livid...
reagan skipped it twice, and Bush one never went
ouch...
also from a military family, and it doesn't bother me either. there is more than one national cemetery in the US
funny how the predomanantly republican military always forgive the republicans for what they yell at the democrats for
I guess I never knew - that shouldnt matter - makes me even more mad thinking about it
i will now shut up *zips mouth*
lol jmc - its Ok - you are amongst (old fashioned word not in this puzzle) friends
Off topic, Jameer Nelson needs to have some tattoos removed, you can not see his skin.
lol red
hiya, about to start grid.
oh feather - just starting?? good luck!
ty mom I try not to let my politics show too too much
hi feather
yep
how about I give you a few key clues???
i got 9 words so r!
far
i am finding this very slow going
oh great, lol
it is not possible for there to be 109 more words in this grid
hi feather and jen
ok, going to hide chat, so i don't get distracted, and focus. will be back in 15 minutes to report in!
i could use a clue for the top T
bo5/14 bo + what great paintings are (pl )
pk, 109 is what i have left too so i agree
lol
that make me pretty happy since that means I really only have 71 to go rather than 180
i like your style jmc
well i am a native texan
I have 88 left, and am very distracted, they just tied the score.
that explains it
but don't tell anyone because we wouldn't want them to be jealous
what quarter are we in red?
good thinking
first, Its tense.
co8 = ice cream **** + *** the bunny childrens book + I *ove you (pl)
I'd bite my nails but i got a manicure today
hostile crowd.
I think the Celtics are going to win, but, I hope its a good game.
do you know that old texas joke pk?
you get manicures?
my grandmother used to tell it to me
te + how *u*e is that + vowel
and a pedicure my toes are Nationals red!
I do it once or twice a year
I am so jealous
don't be I do it to make my sister happy
i am a new texan jmc, so probably don't know the old joke
I have had a gift certificate to this spa for 2 years and havent found time to use it - could get a massage, facial, mani, pedi - whatever - cant find time.....
I used to love getting manicures simply for the hand massage. but...now the hand massage hurst so...
whats up with your hands red
oh well the young woman was going off to college and her grandmother said, "Hun, when you get to college meeting all those new girls, don't tell them you are a texan. . .
suspense....
I broke one, its actually how I discovered babble, and while it is healed, the fingers dont like massage.
poor red -- i am partial to the foot massage
waits for it...
me too red - so where is the punchline....
. . . . Because the texans will know you are a texan and you and you don't want to shame the girls who aren't
i have a pedicure once a month in summer and do my own in winter
i eat my peas with honey i've done it all my life
lol
it makes them taste quite funny but it keeps them on my knife
I must have missed something - what do peas/honey have to do with mani/pedi's
Guten Abend, Babblers, Can someone please clue co 8 and 9 for me?
hi ing

bummer inge
this will be the exception that proves the rule red!
*-8-**-8-*
Back to normal. Gute Nacht, one and all
bye inge
Well, we shall see, the Bostonians have a right to try to win too and so far they are doing a good try...
down by ten.
don't be such a good sport this early in the game red! lol
I think we are losing, the Celtics are in a bad mood, but Howard is doing his free throw now.
hey I am celtics fan
back, found 155 first pass. now trying for NBT.
jmc doesnt care, but cheers for the Magic bevause I do.
sorry I already committed to red's te** mom

Oh no, Rondo is down, he feel really really hard...
thats Ok - you are a southern girl too
*runs out with bandages ready to help*
err fell.
you are going to force me to find the game arent you red
He looks like he messed up his hip.
i keep wanting -etch endings. sigh.
Mom needs, I am sure I can give an accurate play by play.
sixth generation (that we know of) southerner
and, what sport is this we're talking about?
basketball
yeah that is not going to happen feather
basketball feather
ah. ok. *turns back to grid*
Rondo is at the free throw line, he has to take the shot and he got it. we are still down by ten.
the Celtics are now in winning range, no need to look at the game Mom needs, its not close anymore.
red is excruciatingly fair in her play by play
she is missing her calling jmc
what? it over til it's over!
*it aint
I cant find the game anyway - what network is carrying it?
yes, I am not that fun.
ESPN
my only zero boxes are from that top row. i have the O, but nothing else. anyone not watching the game mind giving me a nudge?
that double TT seems woefully under used
but we have totally different cable providers.
the ne is what humming birds drink

hi scrabs
ty!
I like entering to clues. TY

my icon is a clue, for those who didn't know.
one more h!
plural the 4 jen
yummm, margaritas ... but real ones, not frozen
hmmm... are we agreeing on something, mom? lol
wine coolers are good for supper==> wine, club soda, and squirt of lemon or lime
i did!
I don't mind frozen if they are not made with sugary syrup stuff
Hey scrabbs - does this mean you will give out all the TO clues???
spritzers!
there are only 3 he words jen - what are you missing
speaking of which any one seen TO lately?
i got the 2 he words
coolers spritzer all the same

LOL! speaking os sugary stuff and you ask about TO?
pe 6/24 please?
she was on earlier this morning
it's that one mom, can you give me a different clue
hi kje!

poor jmc is feeling beat up lately I think - join Mom in the beat up club....I have nice beverages here to share....

french acreage jilli
Hi Dan
pe + that's a **** hooey

ma4/5 + st5/10
st7 - scare unexpectadly
now that i read the rueters article he was arrested for representing the opposition candidate basically
oops, didn't look at the tinyurl yet
starts with twinkler
i knew that was too fast! LOL
TY kje. Hello all
hi lynxx
says not found
Hi lynxxx
hi lynxx
type it again
ty, got it
jmc that can be quite serious.
(sorry, not found was kje's tinyurl)
yes, especially since the state department says "It is a local Rwandan matter" and they will not get involved
my toughest word today was the ra7 - I tried for an hour and when I finally asked for a clue and saw the word, I hurt myself
Well, being American (?) he is american? can be a small leverage point.
and yet I still don't have it mom
me either.
ra7/36 = incline for the disabled and a fishing implement
ok, posted it again, weed
yes he is, but many people cannot understand defending the losing side after a war
I get the incline it is the fishing implement that leaves me baffled
found it! ty
use the last letter of the incline and make a word for the implement
Hello Everybody!
yes ty mom that was the mistake i was making! lol
timer going -gotta fold laundry - brb
a fishing stick, not the reel, the fishing **** .... a may **** .. a ****cat (skunk)\
GO CELTICS!!!!!
hi minsk
i'm being dumb. ne5/10, last one?

Hi Min - red is unhappy right now - dont rub it in....

ne + 3 cons - sort of like dweebs
ne5.10 Ne** & Ernie from Sesame Street, plural
ahhh, ty
he is named ne** down there?
no kje - but you obviously got it
and that clue is right up weed's alley
uh that is Bert lynxx--they were named after the cop and cab driver in "It's a Wonderful Life" Jimmy Stewart Donna Reed and Frank Capra
just wondered... sometimes things are renamed in other countries
I know, I know, sheesh
lol, yep, it was
didn't mean to be snarky or anything
you knew about the capra connection? *impressed*
lol
50 left!
go feather go!

hmpf. *eyes jmc's shins*
*quickly dons shin guards*
curses. foiled again.
*puts on foil cap for added safety*
lol!
now i am foiled again!
speaking of which, have you watched signs yet?
i tried kje I really tried but I got too scared for the kids
po6/21 please?
me?
i need to watch it with someone else so i don't get scared for the kids
if i could save time in a p*****
lol ty
it isn't too scary in the end, jmc... ends well
and that helped me with the ra6 too. a twofer.
LOL yw
good clue kje
i hate movies and tv shows where kids get hurt
lots end in that... just go around the grid, weed
no children get hurt
28
okay I will try again -- I am a re** wimp with scary movies
me too jmc. hate them.
never could watch hitchcock until i was an adult
i don't watch them either... but there is plenty of humor in this to break the tension... in the end, it is a feel good movie
14
i would call is suspenseful, but not scary
however, i LOVE stephen king books.
i liked most of the twilight zone though
i hate stephan king... i don't do horror at all
lisey's story. not as much horror.
the early stephen king was awesome and then they got just plain weird
I will never forget the one where the young man gets coaching to bring in crowds talking about immigrants and it turns out his coach was Hitler
I love liseys story

I am al 5/10 tonight so I can babble in peace. We do not have to co7/40 for computer tonight. My ma4/5 counterpa4/5 is at an early Memorial Day fe4/7 with his pa4/5 probably drinking many bo 6/24s of beer. I am sure that he'll be a mo6/21 and mo 4/5 tomorrow with his hangover. Then hubby will mo4/6 around the house because of his headache. My mo5/12 is "If you wanna play, you gotta pay!" Anyway, he asked me to go with him but I said no4/5, I re4/4ly don't want to go.I did not go because parties with lo 4/4 of people don't appe4/5 to me and I would have been a lo 5/10 there. If he drives home,I will sl4/5 his face and then sl 4/5 the door in his face. Then when he's sober I will re4/5 his arse big time! So I sit here while my dog ea 4/4 his bo 4/6. I wasn't able to le4/4 on my monkeys for help with the grid. Wasn't able to co4/6 with my monkeys today,so I fired them again. I am st5/10ing to get tired so I need to st4/5 babbling. Now I am off to eat an ice cream co 4/5 & then le 4/5 into be and watch the movie The Co 4/5 Miner's Daughter. Adios!

Hello NonnieLight! How are you? Welcome to the grid
Hello all! Hey Nonnie! ((hugs)) haven't seen you in a while
howdy, stid!
Hi stidmama! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
hey Min! I am well. you?
hello 201 to go. Does anyone have an icon clue?
hiya min and stid (hugs). I've been lurking and babbling off and on. How are things with you?
bonsoir, chere Une! j'ai une semaine de la "hell" --- and then... des vacances!!! *happy mama look*
*waves sheepishly at stid*
enjoy your vacation, stiddy!
AUTUMN MOON! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!!!!! *stern mama look* (I have missed you) ***many hugs***
many hugs for you too. Playing farmville with FranMag
I am still worried about whether I will be allowed to continue in the program and student teach next year, but optimistic that my pessimism is misplaced. *wicked mama grin*
Hi harpjane! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
ah, that farmville. It's holding my tom hostage, too.
that's Firewords for moi and I'm bidding you all a good nite! *poof*
hi stid! (sorry, was on the phone)
wtg une ;)
sleep well
Youppi! Une! au demain!
I am well stidmama. Just found out today that I have a summer job. Was so worried that I would be jobless
s'okay pini. I am proud to announce that I took a nap this afternoon/eve when I got home! LOL
Congratulations Uneaixoise on fireworks! Way to go!
Goodbye Uneaxoise!I will see you tomorrow in the log
ni-night Une
a summer job! that's great news, Min! what will you be teaching? (other than kids, of course... or are you branching out into architecture or such?)
probably needed it, stid ;)
okay, got down to 54 left. Back in a few minutes
other than farmville, autumn moon, are you doing anything interesting?
later autumn
(really - just a few minutes)
I am not sure what I will be teaching this summer. It is a new program that is funded through a grant. All I know is that it is for students in grades Pre-k to 2nd
oh! little ones! that will be fun, Min. :-D
The regular summer school program I usually do isn't running because of budget problems. So was worried that I would not be able to find another summber job
help with the tr6's please?
Hope I get 2nd grade. Don't want to spend a summer with Pre-K or K, but beggers can't be chosers, right?
true, Min. this is my last summer to NOT worry about a job -- as soon as I finish this program, I will have to find employment fast to pay off all the loans. BUT... in the meantime I will use this summer to get the house and yard in better order.
I don't have those harpjane, but I DO have a story of clues in profile if you want to take a look at harpjane
hi all
brb stidkid had a question
I'm off to take a shower. Not sure if I'll be back here.
i just got ti thanks

Goodnight to my fellow babblers!I'll see you tomorrow
night min
hey tea. brb...
night, min
hi, pini
hi TNC
back. sweet dreams, Min
down to 102, will list in two... more... words...
gees 148 to go....
oh, gosh, stid...no need to hurry!
at least not on my account!
down to 99. list. LOL silly pini -- I babbled some last night while forcing the stidkid to stay awake long enough to run through four last edits on a paper he had three + months to work on... (but didn
(but didn't take seriously until this past week)
oy vey, stid...
hi hi. I'm back
wb autumn
stid - do you know how to reach scrab in real life?
yes tea, I do. do you have a trouble?
I was up (because of him) until 11:30 last night... so was Tom.
hey again Autumn
no, she gave me some great advice the other day and I wanted to tell her how we were doing - could you pass on my e-mail address to her?
gosh, stid...sorry to hear (for the both of you, but not so much for the stidkid cuz it was his fault for procrastinating)
oh gosh, TNC...how is it coming along?!?!?!?!?!
Is he doing well???
we are on day four of potty training and doing very well, over all. yesterday was kinda bad, and exceptionally awful at the end of the day, but we got back on track today
great, TNC! good to hear!
yes, I am pretty upset... with him, with his teacher, with his school for not picking up on the fact that he is doing so very poorly relative to the grades he got before this year. Now that I know more about the laws that compel schools to investigate... *angry mama bear look*
Stid - things are good. Finally getting stuff unpacked from our move last year. Work has settled down with the closing of the 2010 olympic and paralympic games. Fiscal year end closed with minimal problems.
good for you tea! potty training can be a trial, for sure.
I know the feeling, stid
that does sound good! what explains all the wedding pics in your flickr profile? *nosy mama look*
I truly think it is all about control right now. Plus, with him losing control in this area, it is coming out in other areas, so we are all a bit haggard right now, but today was a better day.
ah. yes....
other people's weddings
it'll get better, TNC!
I'm sorry about stidkid, stiddy
I didn't "train" my boys much. the younger one especially sort of trained himself when HE was ready.
oh. okay. *puts rice back...*
do you want me to have scrabs contact you tea?
I can give her your email.
I hope so, pini - we were all at wits' end yesterday and we clearly over reacted. But, he got so mad at us that he purposely peed on his dad. Then, when he was on time out for that started crying that he had to do no. 2 and promptly did, in the potty.
that would be great, stiddy!
CELTICS GO TO THE NBA FINALS!!!!
woo-hoo Minski!
okay tea. brb
he has always told us that he couldn't tell if he had to go no. 2, so now, we know better and today was accident free, for both.
well, kinda sorry to hear about dad, TNC (but maybe he's on board now?); and glad he was able to poop on the pot...see...it's working...he's "aware"
wow, I should blog this somewhere besides here. thanks for listening, all
he's catching on so it shouldn't be long now before it was yesterday's news!
anytime, TNC!
sounds like a breakthrough, tea! LOL
I think daddy is on board now!
* giggle *
I had a *very* hard time not bursting out in laughter last night when he did that!
stid - had to go look at the pics to see what was posted. I collected $$ from all the relatives and the pics are of the gift - we outfitted their kitchen, complete with garbage bags and can
* knowing giggle * would like to have been a fly on the wall myself!
in fact, he wants to wear big boys to bed tonight. we're going to try it. I hope it works, he's sleeping with me. keep your fingers crossed.
WOW. what a wonderful idea, autumn!
that is awesome, autumn!
Tea, you could put a towel down between you and the sheets/mattress.
consider putting an old shower curtain under the sheets for "protection"
The first thing she unpacked after their honeymoon was the kitchenaid stand mixer - she wanted fluffy omelets :)
Any clues on the he7? I'm stumped.
Nevermind! Got it.
I probably will do the towle, we have no old shower curtains. he's been waking up dry for weeks, though, so we should be good.
he7 = unit of land (old)
a unit of measure, madi
hi madi...been awhile
oh, we bought the toys for the kitchen. They actually had to go buy pots and plates
Thanks TNC and Pini.
And hello pini, it HAS been quite a long time.
well, he has just informed me that he is going potty and we are going to bed - so, see you on the flip side
thank you all for your help and encouragement.
Good luck TNC
g'night TNC (and short one)
pe6/24?
sounds like what you use to can jellies
or beginning of chest muscle + # after nine
thanks
pe5 after the oyster souveniers?
okay tea, sweet dreams. I emailed scrabs
replace last letter with a cross, pini
now the big experiment... tom has made pizza and forgot I am not eating tomato things so put tomato sauce on. We'll see if that allergic reaction happens again, I guess.
thx shirl
* crossing fingers, stid *
eh, somebody help!
my lip is all swollen.
hope you enjoy your pizza, stid
ice it chatter
doesn't help.
thanks. I think it will be okay -- I have lots of benadryl if I need it. *grin* nothing like a little adventure, eh? *poof*
;)
2nd al5/10? fish?
the last re5?
pretty much, pini
another word for solo
think 'butt' harp
figures, harp!
I'd rather not, pini. I had a scary experience today while thinking about a butt....
oh, sorry, harp...
anyway i got it, but isn't it more of a kidney word?
how about re + rohip*** (drug - and I probably spelled it wrong)
how about the re6?
nm got it
don't have it yet
isn't anyone going to ask about my scary experience involving a butt?
didn't want to pry, harp...but shoot!!!! (I am curious)
(you chickens.....)
I think I'm the only chicken here, but still curious, nonetheless!
* waits patiently for explanation *
I SCREAMED in a restaurant tonight. We were having a nice quiet dinner when we started talking about someone we know who got bit in the butt by a r6snake. Then the phone in my rear pocket started to vibrate......
WHOOO HOOO WHAT A RIDE!
OMG! TOOO FUNNY!!!!!!
but that made the other patrons check you out!
I swear everyone in the entire restaurant stopped eating to see what was wrong.....
i officially declare the CO8 & 9 unfair words.
agreed, hurshy
yup i agree
it is funny talking to my sister
co5 after go up against?
the middle one i mean - i'm the oldest, i have two younger sisters.
why is taht hursh?
that
she's this total optimist/extrovert happy positive person (NOT a fake "i'm a positive person" person)
I HATE people like that.....
i try to get her to be able to imagine what it is like to be a depressive anxious shy pessimist, and she tries to get me to imagine i can be more like her
which i wish i could!
oh harp, you would love my sister - everyone does - you can't help loving her - she is great, not annoying. she can't help being happy any more than i can help not being happy.
I wouldn't wish my now disowned sisters on anyone except themselves.
I know, but I STILL hate (sort of) people like that.....
these cute children are hers :)
she said tonight that she can see why second children can turn out optimists like her. hannah's whole world, she said, is watching someone full of energy do lots of things that look really amazing to her. so life seems full of possibilities, exciting and hopeful.
co6/27?
plural. use the middle t for the 5, not the upper
it's a plural pini, ends with four consonants
thx harp ;)
I have 3 left: co 8 and 9; re 6/18. Could I please have some help?
pine co4 + ***-a-cake + L, and pl
ice cream co** + *** yourself on the back + stick
or what hursh said
re6 let borrow money again
st7?
po6?
don't st7 a horse, or he may bo4
po6 rhymes with a genie's home
thx hurshy
Thx guys. Those aren't real words....
thanks
I agree, autumn
off to watch last Monday's CSI Miami
Thanks for your assistance. First grid in months!
funny. i consider it an accomplishment if i DON'T do a grid. of willpower and self-control.
wtg autumn
