Jellen how nice to see you, hw are you and how is Tim?
I am fine...We'll know more about Tim this week (had testing done on his liver)
oh hope it is good news! It has been a rocky road hasn't it.
Yes, it has.
Hang in there girl ((()))
Thanks...
There are some strange words in todays grid.
I must bid you all a fond farewell...my pillows beckon...Happy Babbling!
Sleep well
Have a good day!
hi everyone
Hi Andree
Hows the working from home going and how is the pup?
hugo is gorgeous, we have fitted so well and he lets the kids do anything with him, poor thing has spend some of his day in the toy box today, at least he is too big for the pram now!!! a great choice with small children around
and the work from home office is great
LOL re the pram. So glad everything is working out well :)
Hi Andree & FM
yes he is the most patient dog
hi lynxxx
Hi there lynxxx
1st day of winter here so your garden must be looking good now fmitch
Noy quite yet Andree but it is geting there - we are due to be drowned in rain today. What temps do you have on the 1st day of winter?
hi guys, andree what type of dog did you get?
Hi sandy.
hi Sandy
its 24 degrees celcius here in Perth and the sun is shining on the first day of winter
its 5.45pm and 16degrees C
16-18 predicted all week and rain
just working out those temps into f figs.
similar to Melbourne Andree, but drizzle rather than rain
andree what type of dog are you talking about?
a spaniel/poodle cross called a spoodle
ok, my friend has one - he is a lovely dog
lol your winer temps are our summer temps - althought aparently we are going to get up into the high 70s by the end of this week :)
and he doesn't drop hair
my favourite weather is raining
no he doesn't shed, if i had anything to complain about it would be about keeping his curls brushed as he looks like he has dreadlocks if i leave it a couple of days, he is 9 1/2 months so time has flown
Darn must be off for a while - Happy Babbling.
bye FM
we have very mild winters in sydney, but we still complain about the cold and have the heaters going full pelt, lol
bye fm
clue please for the second un 6/21
i have the plural of the one before sammy
thanks andre- smacked me with it-lol
my friend keeps hers nicely clipped andree and he always looks gorgeous, he is a light golden colour
hugo is also light gold, his curls are so cute, i cannot bear to have him clipped but will probably have to succumb in the summer as his coat is really thick
I know how you feel andree, I used to have poodles and didn't want them clipped but in the end it is more comfortable and clean for them
i need to move away for a while, maybe thing will jump up at me later with fresh eyes
fireworks!
all alone again noone to share the glory with!!
Hello and YAh
good morning! I'm back from my "party weekend" in London
congraTS SANDY!
is anybody thee? lurkers?
Hi ruby - I am here if you are still?
hello hello FM!!!
How is the trip going??
or how was the trip?
I even played a couple of games with my 13 yr old nephew. We played as Rubyfoo and Shadow (the name of his dog). I'm home, got home yesterday
Did you have a good time?
It is was great! London is, however, for this small-village woman, sort of overwhelming and VERY expensive. After a while, I took the Underground which was pretty scary but at least was inexpensive.
I forgot how beautiful London is!
I even danced at the Saturday night party!
still sore, thugh!
well done ruby - the underground can be scary but is very practical.
yay ruby - dusted off your dancing shoes :)
and I got to see y friend who lives in Surrey, took the railroad and felt very brave and proud of meyself!
Where does she live?
I haven't danced in 2 years, used to dance A LOT "in the day"
she lives in Sunninghill, closest station is in Ascot. We've been friends for about 22 years as her husband (now retired, like us), was a biz associate of my husband, and she and I became friends back then when she visited Miami
Noooo!!!! I lived in Sunninhill for ages before I moved last November!
my nephew and family were very welcome and there was a series of parties and open-house type occasions. I found being around that many people rather tough (again small town, etc) but they were lovely.
Their house is Oakwood Lodge, Sunninghill. That is an impossibl coincidence! It is beautiful there; When I was still working and was a runner, I used to spend weekends with them and take walks with Margaret and her dogs and used to run in the early mornings.
that was welcoming! my typing didn't improve over the weekend
And my friend's garden is magnificent with huge yellow azaleas and rhododendrons.
*heads off to google*
They are South Africans of Scottish descent
I'm still stunned at the coincidence. It would be like finding somebody who used to live in this {tiny] village!
OMG - their house is about 1/2 a mile away from where I lived!
that is amazing! Do you play golf? You might have known my friend.
LOL - No - never got off the driving green. Although Dad did play at Wentowrth.
Hello
I'll ask Margaret where she played. She doesn't any more, has bad arthritis etc. Also doesn't have dogs anymore although she had 3 when I met her those many years ago
hello herin
Hi herin :)
I just found out that the friend outside London whom I visited on Sunday lives about 1/2 mile from where FM lives
WOW hello (just reading back
I am smiling like crazy!
I love that kind of "small world" experience. It's like finding someone who shares your birthday
*grin*
but have to adjust that to *where FM lived*
lived*, sorry, too excited to type properly and, BTW, very happy to be home
Since I moved I am now in the sticks (and loving it). Loved living in Berkshire for so many years butnow loving it here in West Sussex.
it is wonderfully quiet "in the sticks" and for me, that is very important
Are the dogs happy to see you ruby?
I still think that is cool
Ruby was ecstatic; it took Max a little while to remember me!
very cool, Herin
awe
if "shadow" comes on, using Rubyfoo, you'll know it's my 13 yr old nephew
he is actually my nephew's son, nephew is 50!
he has 3 teenage sons, all of whom are amazing -- polite, smart, affectionate, lovely.
Laughing so much as a blackbird is taking a bath in the bird bath - such fun!
I have to make lunch for husband who is SO happy that i'M HOME. i THINK THERE'LL BE SOME PHOTOS ON LINE AND i'LL MAKE A LINK TO MY PROFILE IF/WHEN THEY ARRIVE. a PHOTOGRAPHER FOLLOWED US AROUND ALL WEEKEND!
whoops, sorry for shouting. Sloppy, cold fingers!
Look forward to seeing the pics ruby.
we have about 20-30 fish left in the pond, so, unless they are all girls, they should re-populate it and husband has quit grieving!
thank you. Talk to you gals later! ((hugss)); it's very nice to be back

hi again

clue for su5 please
the only su5 that i have is something you stir into your coffee to make it sweet
yhx ted, i feel a complete idiot, its the only su and i thought i tried everything
fireworks
Congrats Andree!!
now i can go and have my dinner, bye to anyone listening and happy babbling
bye A, enjoy
hi lynxxx
hi Carlee! how are you?
i'm surviving
feeling very overwhelmed by my job
and u lynxxx?
Huge change jobwise, not surprised. Must be very rewarding when you look back on your day though. and you said yr new boss was supportive?
my days are very boring - and I am still enjoying it
yes..she is...but when i make any kind of mistake ifeel like I have completely let her down...and my stomach turns inside o ut
doesnt help i've had someone telling me for 20 years that i am incapable..
Everyone makes mistakes. Its only when people don't fess up to them and don't learn from them that is a worry. You won't be letting her down I am sure
i know everyone does
As for your last sentence - you KNOW you aren't. Some people can only build themselves up by putting others down - and happily he has gone now.
its a learning curve
i get it...but i still turn my insides out
i find myself giving me a pep talk..and a focus talk and a " just get through today" talk all the time...
on top of everything else my dad is sick and we dont know why
I recommend an occasional end of the day chat with your Boss over a coffee. Open up to her a bit about how you are coping workwise. It is very rewarding to have your staff be open and honest with you. She will give you feedback so you can truly judge how you are going at work.
Are they doing tests on your Dad?
she does..we do... and yes they are...still nothing...he went from playing golf daily ( no golf cart ) to losing 40 pounds in 2 months and now having to walk with a cane
That does sound serious, he can't be too old either? What are they doing next?
no idea... he's 71... i will find out more on the weekend
Not so old (nowadays). Will keep my fingers crossed that they found out the problem soon so he can start getting better
thanks lynxxx
Must go and get some dinner. Usually wait til daughter gets home (about 10.30pm) but don't think I can tonight. See you later Carlee
hi again, back to see if I can find some words!
anybody here?
zzzzzz
zzzz to you, FM
lol feel like a nap but am heading out shortly.
this is my usual nap time, but I have bread and butter letters to write and an insurance agent to see
enjoy the grid and see you later.
bye for now
bread and butter letters?
hello jean. old-fashioned (like me) way of saying thank you notes
ah :-)

oops
no, thank you, I didn't see that lol
morning all, h elp with the y please
hi peri
no y, no u, no n! not doing so well, so far
I alos need the A next to the Y pls
me, too, lol, and the left-hand a as well
brb
left hand a sounds like spanish goodbye minus a vowel.
ty FM
I'll tell peri when she gets back
almost half.....
It is not a bad grid today.
cute gu5/20, thought that wasn't a real word
if no more clues needed I will be away.
right hand e or u, pls, then I'll hv half
um OK will go look.
the e is money in your continent
lol you beat me to it Esprit
:-)
where I live! hahah I was tipping people in the UK in those....
would u like a fish with that ruby?
yes, please
ooh, just found another currency from the ame place
u + Currency of Iraq (I think) and pl that will give you a 5 and 6
italy :-)
and there's a middle eastern one. Is that the theme?
I thought that was an angel's name
and now I have 110, yippee
do you remember when you had to pay 1 million of those for a hotel room in Italy?
only 101 to go then ruby!
hahah, FM, but had better write those letters!
and have your nap
I love naps
bye
bye ruby
and I am off too BBL.
Anybody here?
Lurking and will probably be in and out a lot...
hi scrabbler, and hi monkeygames!
Hi MG
have about 3 minutes before I leave for work...
Hi!
hi, i've been lurking for a few minutes too
Hi JBV--how many days til retirement?
Hi GG
scrabbler, how's your tooth?
ri
as
June 30 is my last day - so the end is near
Good morning Babblers
Oops. Maybe I should go to the PB.
Hi Nanette
Yay JBV!
that was helpful clue
morning, Nono
I am so busy I haven't had a chance to anticipate the joy of not working yet, but I know it will be great
Freedom, JBV. As long as you can afford it, it will be nice.
it's quite intense at work - this is the time we plan for September so there is a lot of pressure right now for me to get things done even though I won't be here
they have not yet named my replacement - or even interviewed
And when you do retire you will be so busy you won't know how you found time to work!!
I don't think anyone wants my job - it's hard enough right now, and with the personnel cuts (thanks to Gov. Christie) the new boss will have less support
It's been raining here since during the night and the ground sure needs the water.
that is what I am hoping, JFB
Hi JFB. That is what my retired friends tell me.
here too scrabs altho it isn't raining right now
I'm off to the garden now - this is the best job I've ever had! lol - bbl
This is not an easy grid, is it?
bye JFB
I did that all day yesterday, JFB
I'm stuck with 66 to go
Hello
hi Herin
why isn't snugle a word?
hi herin
hi herin and bye - Hi Ho Hi Ho, off to work I go
Hello My lovelies. Scrabbler I passed on Diaper Free baby stuff to my friend
Good, herin. BRB, phone
And I agree that Snugle is a word
what does it mean?
i think its two g's snuggle
Good morning and good grief ... do we have enough a tiles?
definitely too many, merk
Morning Merk, and yes I think there are more than enough A tiles
still need the u from the right column and the y for NBT
the y is very difficcult to clue
how many letters is it ggirl
just 4
found it thanks
sounds like a car that is no longer made but different last vowel
the u's are like something pertaining to passing water
that's a better clue. i was working on spelling it backwards
I found biscuits in the cupboard. Bad bad idea
NBT finally
oh, don't mention biscuits, herein - i'm trying so hard not to eat them
I just found a packet of Kingstons I am disappointed
what are Kingstons?
The best description I thought of is err Butternut snaps with choc cream
Back.
how could you be disappointed with those - they sound yummy
hi, Scrabbler
I am the choc is too thin
do you have tunnock's chocolate caramel wafers in Oz?
No.
if i ever come your way, i'll bring some. they have thick, thick chocolate on them
Oh, my, I must get ready to leave. Dentist appt, then car maintenance, then visit sister, then spend afternoon with my friend's kids. Bye all.
Take Care Scrabbler
my friend brought me some violet crumble when she came back from Perth - because my cat's called Violet. that was the only reason
bye, Scrabbler, have a good time, although not at the dentist's perhaps
:D I may have to go to the lolly store and check out the English section
try Cadbury's fruit and nut. it's milk chocolate wth hazlenuts and raisins
have a good day Scrabs
We have Cadburys
i can't buy it because i can't resist it.
I can't be normal I prefer NZ chocolate
i don't know what that's like.
hello, back.
hello, back.
hello ruby. how was your uk weekend?
Just save us $2000 by finding an ItLIAn rather than a French home insurer! *proud*
Hi Ruby - was your vacation absolutely marvelous
it was terrific, girlie!
hello, mom.
Hi Ruby
Go Ruby
It was great fun, if exhausting, and I even danced! yay
good for you
Happy to be home, however, I am not used to being at loud parties and around that many people
so glad it went well
I'm waiting for photos and will try to put them in FB or in my profile!
and I'm sure your precious ruby was glad to see you
she was ecstatic but it took Max a couple of hours until he recognized me.
it was good to get away and I was even happy to see my husband again....lol
he was just punishing you for being away
that's males for you
no, I think he really couldn't quite place me but once he got up his courage to sniff my head, he was fine!
maybe you need to go away more often - lol
my legs are still sore from all the walking and dancing I did. And London was pretty cold and I wasn't warmly dressed enough.
hello, did I miss a clue for the Y and the A next to it?
Ruby is Max your ''special'' dog?
you're right, mom.
Yes, Max is autistic -- handsome and very gentle, but extremely timid and on Prozac!
I still don't have either one, peri
ok
like a shaking illness backwards without the last letter
Good morning, could I have a clue for tu6 please?

bye bye Guernseygirl
he was so cute and very swift at picking up babble
bye bye girlie!
Hi Ruby! We missed you. How was London?
slot
hi jayk! It was great fun but very tiring. My dancing muscles are still aching!
damn!
thanks Jayk, didn't have that one
tu6/21 sounds like a dust-up . . . ends in Mr. Gore
tu6 sounds like the false bottom Victorian women wore in their dresses bu etc (not spelled the same)
morning Une
those are the best muscles to be tired from!
we always appreciate some help....
morning, all :-)
hi Une
thank you Une for the TU 6
back later -- must go pick up food for soup kitchen -- byeee! *poo*
that tu word is very funny
yw mom :-)
poo?? LOL *POOF*
the smiling ones are probably better....but I'm afraid I don't do a lot of that except when seeing my babble friends
poo to you, une! lol
where are the pictures Ruby?
hello everyone!
{{Annie}} good morning

hi Annie

Thanks all for the tu6 clue I fell asleep at the computer
hi Annie
ah, hope you can post them
hahah, marc
oh Marc, best be getting yourself a nap
Hi ((mom)), lynxxxie..ah I see ruby has returned, how was the weekend?
you'll have little squares imprinted in your cheeks, marc
hi peri
Hello Annie
terrific, annie, great to get away AND come back to my seriously overgrown garden. Resuming the "war against the weeds" today
Hi Momneeds
and the peonies started on Sunday
I absolutely adore peonies.
London is more beautiful than I remembered but it's overwhelmingly large!
peonies are the stars of this garden!
what color are they?
you are such a country girl now Ruby
it's true, and to think I come fro NY originally -- lost my city chops
I have regular pink ones, magenta ones and huge fancy white ones (only 3 flowers this year, though)
I'm afraid to look at the vegetable garden, it is probably a total mess
Your garden must be magnificent
and the roses are all opening - several shades of pink, salmon, violet-pink, pale pink and white
I love it, but it's mostly complex bords. I think Mom needs has a bigger and better garden
does hubby help with the garden or is the garden your domain?
what is good is the color plan
borders* duh
I designed it but mostly just point and the handyman does the work. Husband just does the lawns. He refuses to learn the difference between weeds and perennials!
and I'm too frail to do anything much except weed (and point) lol
just like a husband. lol. pointing is good.
my right arm is very strong, especially the index finger
do all husband stand on the flowers?
funny!
yes
most of them
night

night, herin...sleep well

lol Annie, not today, it is housecleaning at my parents. Tomorrow will be an easy day. But a bright spot will be having lunch with our oldest son.
Annie, enjoy your day.
Oh yes, I remember now. On Tuesday you help your parents. Enjoy your lunch with your son.
I surely will. see you afterwhile

hi everyone...about to hit the sack here!
poor sack :) Hi red
Mazeltov, Babblers!
hi Judi
hi judi!
must change icon. like the theme today!
please do :) Looking forward to your choice
gooooooooooooooooooooooooood MORNIN babblers!!
hi EvaN!
how goes it, spritely one?
am good! And you?
*clueless* What is the theme today?
good. home. tan. :)
lovely! Looks good on you, that tan. Judi: see my profile.
and welcome home, EvaN. Good trip?
lovely trip, thankyou. :) i should have worn more sunblock and been safe, but its nice to have a tan for once!
moderate sun and tan are good!
i only have a tan for a little while. i got myself burned first and its already starting to peel...
same thing here, I don't bother with tanning anymore. Last leftovers of chestnut hair, I guess ;) I love the sun though, as long as I can keep to the shades.
Okay. I've conformed to the theme.
oh, good one, Judi! And HUGE!
i generally only burn + peel. no matter how little time ive spent in the sun. i generally stay out of it or wear heavy sunscreen, but on the rare occasions that i do find myself burned, i try to enjoy the short period of tan while its there. :)
Ty. When it comes to wind power, a bigger turbine is better.
*grins* Indeed, Judi.
OK returned with one of the engines, or at least some unidentified part of the rocket that went to the moon!
Close enough, red.
funny pic! No way to see how big it is, though. But those rocket stuff is always enormous.
LOL, I took the photo, not every day do I get to use my own photos.
Ladies, we are now talking about who has the biggest engine. Stop it. Stop it now.
:D
lol
Ok nap time now... g nite all.
of course, in the end, the engine does not matter. It is about what it propels.
sleep well red!
strange grid today
yes it is sprite
May I please have the stats for the Y?
Yu4/9/
Good morning ... oh my goodness, this is not a good day for someone to be introduced to Babble. It could be discouraging initially.
yu4/9
yu4/9
there is an echo in the house
TY! Got it!
Welcome, Mudd. You are aptly named for this game. Because it will squish you through it's to/4's.
You've got that right!
May also have the stats for the single i next to that Y?
Good Morning Mudd
Morning, a rainy one here.
I had planned to work in the garden all morning.
Car - there is no single i
there is an A but I dont know which one it is - lots of A's today

The singleton a is ag4,8

good morning everyone
Hiya, dawg!
or - said out load
hi Judi!
lucky for me I am done or would be in the PB
ty, mnh! and congrats on you fw!
that was supposed to by loud
lol, that's exactly how i read it! loud!
babblease - we are all experts
I have to say morewords was a HUGE help or I would not have been able to get through this
i'm sure i'll probably end up at morewords. but first i have to let shooshoo have a turn at the grid. we've been cooperating doing them this last week.
well have fun - I am off to work - happy babbling everyone
Bye, Mom
bye, mnh
So, what did eveyone do this weekend? I painted my garage doors! Thrill a minute.
sweltered in the heat. nothing exciting here.
Wow - do you know how to have fun Judi~
Mine was just as exciting - planted flowers at the cemetery
Then, yesterday, my husband opened his side and broke the electric door opener (paint stuck door panels together). Arrrgh.
also sweltered in the heat . . . weeded a bit, planted a bit, vacuumed, and made brownies for my mom's caregivers -- life in the fast lane! LOL
ohno, judi!!
bummer, judi. hi unea

Hope you can find an answer for that soon BR and stop the progress. We need you
I will send "energy" prayers to you. Please keep us informed.....there are so many here that will also. We hold you in highest regard.
I should not have said anything ... was just curious if the one that told me about a place to go would speak ... I should have known better
Have a good day, folks .... be well
I do't know who it was but maybe they will see who is in Chaterbox now and respond.
You too BabRab XX
No, I only confirmed what I already knew

I understand where you are at Peach. It could be that they are logged on all the time (as I am) but not actually playing/reading chat. Let's hope he tries reaching out again to them and they see it

Hi again. I'm back for more
hi nef
My garden is in; but it shouold be interesting: 45 tomato plants and 28 pepper plants. NO herbs, no greens. DH will have a coniption about that (not to mention all the tomatoes and peppers in such a small space!
hi Pini
gees, going to feed an army or what?
hi Nef and Pini
Sounds like you like salsa!
hi boo and gwen
I bought the 6 plant packs; didn't realize how many there were in that small little pkg. I refused to pay $4.50 for a single plant in a 3 inch pot!
no kidding!
Gwenski, we like salsa but not *that* much! I'll be doing some canning again I guess
or sharing with the neighbors! :)
hi, babblers
Our garden is more modest. I haven't learned the art of canning, just the joy of sharing!
hi welki
hi welki
Last time I tried anything, I planted 2 tomato plants and some herbs...nothing came in worth using and the only thing that has survived is the thyme!
I share a lot too. I actually put several plants into 4" pots for my neighbors who are moving away in 3 weeks. :-( (These are the ones I'm "gramma" to their kids)
awww, sweet, nef!
Hello Babblers! the gang is all here!
sorry to hear they're moving

(or am I a day late on that?)
It turned out to be alright, not very busy, which gave me time to think.
Nah, I finished this morning.
so, so far, so good?
Yes, I think it will be fine. If it is like that oftne, it's very very nice.
good to hear!
Yes
Now I need to adjust myself for sushi lunch tomorrow, I thought it was going to be me and a friend, but then 3 more people who I like to varying degrees invited themselves. I need to love them more.
Pinik, are you getting a new boss?
* grin *
I am, red...yes
how is that working out.
she doesn't leave until the 15th, he starts on the 1st...she's going to "be available" for questions between the 16th and 30th...
nef? how is husband?
Hmmm, so really she plans to be out of there on the 15th...
I'm not sure she'll wait that long...she's got short-timers' syndrome now...
...and, yes, Nef, did you mention the "blockhead" to him??
did I chase nef off?
perhaps we both did
oh, Neeeeeef...you there?
we shall serenade you with big vocabulary words. Nef and any lurkers!!!
* giggle *
stats for the lower right U and E?
the e is the european cash.
oh, how blind I am!
the U,, there are many US** for rutabega....or so people say.
have that one
wrong U red ... this one is ur5/6
OOh, when she said lower, I went to the lowest.
you sure did
no problem ;)
thx wild...NBT!!!
arrived with having found only 18 words last night...up to 93 now...
yw
Sorry; my dtr. called me away for supper
wb nef! :)
thank you. I'm trying to catch up on chat now. I did tell DH about a helmet, but he wasn't interested today.
;)
clue for st 5/14
perhaps another time
pl of st4/6 and fashion
HE was telling me that the PT therapist thinks he's ready to come home this week. For good. I asked him if he'd told her that hedoesn't use (nor do we own!) a wheelchair! He looked at me like "OH! I didn't think of that!"
ty wildcat
yw
that shows promise tho, right, nef?
(except for the chair snafu)
It's scary though. He has to be ALONE for 8 to 12 hours when I'm at work; what if he falls and breaks something during a day that I work?
do you have any friends or relatives who could check on him during the day?
any friends who might consider taking turns "visiting" for periods during the day?
* snap * wild...GMTA!
of course :)
(I got mine in a minute earlier :)
darn lag!!!
red are you here?
Nef, is your husband in a hospital or rehab
hi peri ;)
hi PIni
PIni, are you up for a game of Scramble?
nef would he use a chair if you had one?
my favorite neighbors are moving away in 3 weeks, the neighbor on the other side died in December and the closing on that house is tomorrow, 2 houses down is a retired friend of DH's who has several volunteer "jobs" and most of the rest of the people on our end of the block work full time
I can be, peri...but should probably take koda out before starting...can you hang here for a few minutes?
peri, he's in a rehab/ transitional care unit now
Hello everyone!
(nef, perhaps working friends, might schedule a weekly "lunch" with hubby)
brb
hi Minski
well then they will make a referral for home care, ie. nurse, pt, maybe ot
I hope y'all had a great Memorial Day Weekend!
Does anyone have the TU6/21 please?
don't know if you can afford it but you can always pay for additon home care. also how old is your DH?
I know peri; I'm just starting this whole road right now
I was a social worker for over 20 years
did lots of discharge planning
minski it sounds like a struggle but spelled differently at the end
We are in our 60's peri. He's been on disability retirement from the Federal Government and hasn't collected Social Security because if he does, they reduce his retirement pension $2 for every $1 he would get in SS
there must be a case manager or social worker you can speak with. they should have a meeting prior to discharge and have you and your husband there to discuss discharge options
okay - i give up sort of... can anyone give me a general clue for la7,28
jm pl la6/18 - cowboy's rope
won't they stop doing that, Nef once he reaches full retirement age
A tu 6/21 is tu plus double snakes plus ** Gore Minski.
Good evening to my fellow babblers! How is everyone?
And I work for a non-profit because of an OTJ foot injury and can't work as a hospital nurse anymore. My pension isn't enough to live on; but our "income" is too much for us to get help from many sources
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! YAY!
he IS full retirement age, peri
caatch 22 :(
Yep.
ty wildcat.. i just could not see it. fireworks and off for chores
can't think of any more to offer at the momen, Nef. but your husband's safety is most important once he is discharged
yw and congrats
I'm going to ask to talk to a case worker or social worker tomorrow though. You've given me lots of good help
ask for a case manager or social worker, sometimes they are the same person, stree that he will be alone for long periods of time and see what they say
since when is suntea not a word? it is in my world.
*stress*
Thnaks. I'll do that
glads I was of some help, Nef
also Nef, if he does need any equipment make sure that it ordered prior to his discharge
you have been. Thank you so much! :-)
anytime, feel free to e-mail if you have further questions afater talking with somene at the facility
darn medical equipment costs a lot out of pocket!
I'll do that! Thanks
surely his insurance will cover that
you can rent any kind of equipment too
ok, bye for now
We have canes, 2 walkers (one was one of his Aunts' but it does extend to his height; the other we bought is a walker with 4 wheels and the seat); 2 scooters (neither of which work IN the house
Ooops! Sorry for hogging the chog!
Hi all. Dropping in quickly to finish up, if I can.
Hello wht!How are you doing?Welcome to the chat log
back
*ack* I missed Peri!
Can I have a clue for the second oa5?
nm. Found it.
The oa5/10 is plural of the oa 4/4 word before it wht
I missed the plural because I misread my grid and thought I had grayed out that O.
Once I opened my eyes, I saw it.
... and Fireworks!
And fireworks.
wtg merk and wht
Congratulations Merk on your fireworks! Way to go!

Goodbye wht! I will see you tomorrow in the chat log!
Hi all, how is everyone this evening?

hi fuzzy
Hi Nef, how is your DH today?

That ga 5/18 word is happy plus ** Gore fuzzybunny.
monkeys found 2
lots of vowels pini
i guess so!
he's doing okay, fuzzy. He told me that the PT therapist told him he is almost ready to come home (maybe by the weekend) but he "forgot" to tell her that he was WALKING when all this started!
That is great news. I hope he continues to make progress and makes it home this weekend.
does the last ix5 only contain the 1 consonant?
yes
ix + t***, the hebrew bible
thx min
yw
danke :)
yeah, me too; but what about the fact that we don't have a wheelchair and that's what he in there? He hasn't been walking much there; just in his therapy sessions in the parallel bars
do you have a medical equipment rental/purchase place nearby?
you may be able to get a loaner from the rehab, or rent one from med supply house.
And he will be alone for 8- 12 hours when I work 2-3 times a week. We aren't ready yet; but dear peri gave me lots of info about what I need to do tomorrow
min, thanks for the ga clue! I just went back and found it.
that's good (about the info), nef! :)
yw fuzzybunny
It's amazing how many different people here are so helpful and caring!
* beaming *
Nef, talk to the discharge social worker at the rehab and tell them what your needs are. Let them know that you are out of the house for an extended period a couple of days a week. It maybe possible to get a home health aid that would come in for 2 - 3 hours on the days that you work, as long as there is a need for personal care that your DH can't do himself.
aa5?
aa 5/10 is aa + consonant plus double vowels Pinikula
aa+stick + dble vowel, Pini
another one with a lot of vowels. aa + consonant plus double vowel

yeah i've had that happen before
now why didn't I see that
try refreshing and then copying and entering all your words from Babble to lickety
it's a sneaky word today, Barb's
I think i just didn't look there still wondering why my horse acted up today???? I have never seen this side of him...very strange

my horses have always been very quiet indeed...it kind of unnerved me
Nef, thanks for the advice about refreshing and reloading. It worked.
then when the vet came to give him his summer shots he freaked out again

it has been a strange week up there...last wed I got smacked in the back and shoulder by one of the other ones...and yes nef you should always be on your guard for sure...but going on 5 years I have never seen this from him...he would climb in your lap for a cuddle if you let him...guess he was just really having a bad day

ty
what did you do today pini
went to work ... :(
how did it go then?
wish I didn't have to work, but thankfully I like my job (about 99% of the time)
got two major projects done (one was in the works; the other I got this morning)
I wish I could go back to work...but no one would want me for only 2 hours a day...and since they do have to hire you for at least 4
I'd hire ya, barb!! I could use 2 hrs worth of help everyday!!!!
wish I was closer then thanks for the vote pini
anytime! ;)
I though about volunteering too but again they want at least 4 hours...so I keep my mom company or try to do babble...along with a few chores here or there
I'm a budget manager for two small departments at a large university; I have someone who does the day-to-day activities in one department, while I do the same in the other; but do the financials for both...
I didn't realize there was a time requirements on volunteering...
sounds like it could be very interesting
it definitely keeps me busy ;)
I didn't either....seems silly to me
busy is good...makes the day go by
boy there is alot of sirens going tonight
it can...
sirens? wow...I rarely hear them...
the back of our house has a main road which leads up to the Golden Ears Park....kids go up an party alot there
oh my...
It is cute our little dog has to run to the window to watch them go by
If graduation events don't take my entire weekend, I'll be rearranging the livingroom furniture so Koda can't make the window blinds look even more like they should be in an old trailer park...
what kind of dog is Koda?
Beagle ;)
I have a field across the street from the front of my house and periodically, if he sees someone either walking by or playing in the field, he goes absolutely bonkers at the window; thus the massacre of the blinds! :)
I think one of our old dogs was crossed with a Beagle...she was suppose to be huskey and shepard but not big enough for either...she would get the Beagle stance and had the shrill bark too
you could try leaving them open ..... no?
can't really leave them open 'cuz it would allow too much visibility into the house (not good when I'm not hear)
* here
She passed away just before xmas last year...she was 17 and had cancer which we didn't know about until it was way too late...she never showed any signs of discomfort...and only slowed in the last year or so
Well, hello -- haven't had time for this one but got over halfway a few minutes ago.

hi jilli
wow, barb...I'll bet she was a good friend tho!
So now I'll change icons for stimama's birthday...
