Good night, all...
Clues are up
*poof*
night stid!
YAY Lickety!!!
thanks lickety!
thanks lickety - that was fast!
are grem and chugs done yet?
thanks lickety
i think there are a lot of funky words in this one..
flosey -- nice wingding, but that's for Aug 19 (Thursday)!
lol, where's my head
will change later
or maybe just be ready for next grid
sure, flosey! And I won't be -- leaving Thurs am.
fireworks
are you, have fun
wtg grem
golly grem, I haven't started yet, wtg
oh grem! 7 minutes???
small grid + Lickety = quick time
Too funny, grem! I haven't entered one word yet (no time)
bite
I have 21 words
I have 22 ;)
how do you like that ng5?
have that one jilli ;)
oops
30
I only know two ng5s, so it was easy to find it once I knew it existed
I'm going to go down to the beach and look at the phosphorescence in the sea...back later.
have fun, jilli!
don't like the look of this grid.
me either jilli!
it's a toughy (for me anyway)
thanks grem!
...rethinking the beach. There's a long flight of stairs down to it, and although there's a bright moon out it might be a bit unsafe to use it in the dark. Damn.
aw, jilli...I'm sure it's probably lovely either way!
So morewords, here I come for the weirdos.
flash light?
don't you have a flashlight, jilli
yes -- ok, flashlight. Bye!
ciao!
28 words.
nbt
time for bed.
wow hpb! good going!
fireworks
wtg flosey!
ty Pini, nice looking dog
that's my Koda :)
(thank you!)
he looks loveable
he's my buddy :)
he's been going to work with me this week and he's been a very good boy!
* said from PB *
ah, so nice - my daughter often takes her dog in to work with her
it's nice to be able to do it...he has a very calming effect ;)
I'm going to get an early night since I now have a chance - hmmm, but what do I do when I wake too early!
goodnight all, be back tomorrow night
sleep well, flosey, I'm sure you'll find something even if it means keeping other babblers company while they finish and you enjoy chatting with friends! :)
yes Pini, that's fun too
fireworks!
wtg jes!
Pinikula - I've just read the letter to Dr. Laura (posted on your profile). Something to think about. Bloody woman's a menace.
ty pini, needed the list for my last four. Darn laughing mammal...
* giggle *
I think I'm going to call it a night wi4 a Lucky 13 to finish tomorrow...
wasn't it rather "entertaining" christine??? LOL
(she is annoying)
but gotta git fer now...cya tmw! Happy Babbling! * poof *
Before you go, is there a way I could talk you into e-mailing the letter to me? I tried copy & paste, it dodn't work.
in fact, it didn't work !
hi --back again
this is going to be a toughie I see
Christine, I just copy/pasted it myself; the email hasn't arrived yet, of course, so it may not have worked after all, but if it did I will be happy to send it on. Email me at helensgirlkid@shaw.ca
Thank you. I'm sure I could've done it, if I wasn'y so computer-dopey. I'll look for it in my emails.
Copy/paste seems to have mysterious moments. I have had failure with it and then, trying to demonstrate them, had it succeed! I think my computer hides little quibbles in places it know I will trip over!
hello helen and christine may I have the stats for the 8 if you have it don't want to list yet
Optimist! Give, Westford
okay
I may get it without listing - but not likely. I usually don't list until tomorrow morning, if I haven
I have only 31 words - only 4s and 5s. But if ever I find an 8 - I'll be soooo excited.
got a good number yet. But it's a small list - though probably mean.
hello all - th8/45
No idea what happened there - I don't THINK I hit enter!
so far it's not too bad and I did see the n was ng never would have go6 that one
thanks.. got it right away
oh thanks and hi ursh
Oh yes, someone posted that just after flip - I'd forgotten it ... off to search for it.
thanks for that go6, west!
yvw helens almost wrote it out lol
It won't take coct!
I don't blame it, lol!
concoct I know, but just plain coct?
hi there jilli
does anyone have the no 6/33?
just get here?
I just got back from the beach a little while ago -- went to see the sparkling water (little phosphorescent beasties)
not I ruru
Well, there's also decoct. So somewhere there's a root meaning something like mix, or put together.
ooh plankton (sp?)
we used to do that in Monterey
I think so, west
whay
SORRY - NOODLING WITHOUT ATTENTION TO CURSOR!
lol helens
good morning everybody
good morning ruby
hi ruby
fercoct?
thanks for all the clues in the chog, gave me a leg up with 4 words -- ng??? how in the world did you get that one?
OK, percoct I can imagine - even furcoct, perhaps - but fercoct?
now looking for the th8....
from morewords
I got it from morewords -- gremlin just knew it.
mixed up maybe?
from his wide travels???
still looking for the no6
from his constant word games
done...
YAY ruru!!!
yay ruru
it feels like november here; where did summer go?
yay ruru
Way to go, ru!
two really tough to find words.. maybe three
maybe your summer will return with your guests ruby
maybe it will come back, ruby. Our summer is supposed to go cold this weekend, after record heat.
ruru was the no6 one of the really hard words?
yes
ty
the ap 6 was hard for me too
I shouldn't complain as it was more clement than most places, only about 10 days over 30C (90F or so)
and the ng word was new to me too
we haven't had much of a summer here either ruby
I just found a perfectly normal no6/33
and we had the most tomatoes ever
The no6 is one of those words that's hard to get, then you want to slap your forehead for not getting it at once!
it just jumped out at me!
They keep promising us hot weather "next week" - and we get maybe a day or two that's almost hot.
did it scare you jilli?
any help on the ap6?
well, it woke me up a bit, ruru
here it's like 40% chance of rain and they're right, 40% of the time!
ap 6 the highest point cosmo
it's an astronomic term, cosmo
the climax so to speak
thanks ruru
ty ru ru!
I can never remember which is the high one, the ap**** or the pe*****.
you know everyone I have been really sad for Jellen for a while now.. this really got to me..
but I shoudl remember the apex, I guess.
You're not alone, ruru.
too young for this much tragedy
monkeys found the no6; they were startled
Watch out - startled monkeys are unpredictable!
too true
me, too, ruru! I think she is incredibly brave
tx ru helen.. got the ap6
they had such hopes and plans...
very strong person she is I think..
yw cosmo
That's a handy connection between the ap6 and the top word, jilli - I hadn't thought of it, so maybe now I can remember.
ta6?
You know, evanonut had a tragedy a little while ago too, also too young.
It was really quite sudden, too, wasn't it, ru, jilli?
that one is hard to clue cosmo
:)
well, helens, the melanoma appeared two years ago...
sounds like the weener you buy at baseball games
it makes all the little problems and annoyances seem like nothing!
melanoma is a very dangerous cancer
it's first target is the liver
and the skin part often goes totally unnoticed
yes
my cousin's hubby had it attack his brain.
It's hard to predict, too I gather - my family doctor died of it, also very young.
jellen probably extended his life by forcing him to go to the doctor.. it is so tragic
got it ru... fireworks... tx all.
good going cosmo.. nicely done
YAY cosmo!!!
Congrats, cosmo.
we lost a friend who had is in her eyes, but it too a long time forit to spread, more than 10 years
I have never met her.. but it really affected me I should go to bed .. this is too sad to talk about
I have never met her.. but it really affected me
didn't know it could go to the eyes! Yow!
ruru, you're a sweet softy
one eye, sorry, and even after they removed it (!!) it spread, very slowly, everywhere
{{ruru}} big one for you sweetie!
{{ruru}} - sleep well
Think I shall go to bed, too - losing focus on words! Night all, and good luck.
sweet dreams, all you night owls. It's still morning coffee time for me
this grid bites
still trying to reach half and good morning, gadget
hi rube
hi all
half, yay
I just sat down and looked at the notepad that was up and was SO confused... then I realized it was the last grid..
hello m9
*puts muzzle on grid for gadget*
but I am at 1/2way now! so I can get the list..
oh wait. still no nbt...

wow ruby!
firewords
YAY jilli!!
yay jilli!

And I'm off to bed -- big day tomorrow!
oa 5
thanks.. I'll look
kind of a ten grain word
back from kitchen duty good night jilli
ok.. that's just stoooopid that I didn't get it. thanks ruru
Just as I left to look for the th8, a knock on the door, 12:30 in the morning, must be a burglar, yes? No, a neighbour saw the light was on, and thought I might like company. She looked at the grid, and without knowing what I was looking for - the word jumped at her ... I think she's probably from another planet. Who knows these words, off the top of her head?
night jilli
I am right behind you
like an old western.....
wow Christine I wish I had a word fairy to knock on my door
that is just wild Christine!
if I got a knock on the door at 12:30, I'd freak out!
that's cosy, ruru ;)
hello m
Not only saw the word, figured the definition, sort of.
heh heh heh
so goodnight all, happy babbling through this little waste of time, and...*poof*
I say hello and you say heh heh heh?
Goodnight Jillibus and Rururocks; sleep well.
hi west. no that was to jilli's comment
there's a lag...
hello christine and westford!!!
lol I knew that
so your hi hadn't shown yet!
I thought the lag was just in my head!
Hello, Rubyfoo - how's your husband?
healing well, I think. Thank you for asking.
still depressed, though, but a little less
that was so hard on both of you ruby
My prayers and best wishes to both of you.
got the 8. your friend is really weird Christine.
much worse for him of course, I've just had tokeep things organized...
any hint for the th8; I haven't a clue
uh oh, he's baaaack.....
it turns round on itself
who ruby?? what?!?!?
and has a lot of vo5's. oh wait.. I can say vowel again.
DH or, hopefully, your mystery th8 bearer
if I was confused before...
is turns round a definiton of the direction
th + charged particle +_ had dinner
or*
thanks ruby that did it !!
alms for the poor
Who's back?
sitting here with my letter bucket held out
t's and w's vanquished
christine I think ruby meant her husband was back
How many words today please
My neighbour left with info on babble, so I guess she'll show up, soon.
husband, but not yet. He's walking again
Good morning all
73, Sandrafrances
I was going to ask you if she played
73 and hello sandra
Thanks
that's good ruby
left t, not right one which is 0!
or bottom one, also 0!
She will,m I'm sure. English is her second language, been here about five years, but came as an adult, yet she sees a word that I didn't know existed.
can't believe I took so long to see that bottom o!
and it is??
some of these pop right out and others just stay hidden
an ess curve
it's an architectural term
and sounds like what I said when I found it!
0g4/6 - a double curve.
stats for left e??
ty christine
Yes!! m9f91
yw Rubyfoo
I should have known that!! duh
what!??!?
see? that's how I felt ruby!!LOL
got it. NBT!!
now i can list!
Time for a cuppa, & try to slog my way thro' my book.
47 words but still no nbt! but I had better get dressed
saee you later
*poof*
ohantom: yenta = rubyfoo lol
I missed saying good bye to ruby I was letting my ruby in
oh we found new graves today
wh4 a coinkydink!
really??
we have a little burial ground outside our back door and found a stone from 1848
wow... do you enter them online?
is it a family plot?
the ground has been heaving and it just showed up
think it must be the name we can make out is Winn
do a rubbing?
maybe..some are upright but this one is embedded in the ground probably fell over
There is probably someone somewhere looking for a record of that death.
so are they on the online data bases?
could be
the man who owns the land said he has no idea
oh no!!!!! Today was Tuesday!!!!!
what was supposed to happen?
I am so messed up with time and all... I totally forgot to go to the family history center!!!
arghhhh
i had a niggling feeling all day too....
I hate when that happens..you know you're supposed to be somewhere or doing something
Left my miserable book, and heard you found a grave. That
usually it's dates with me
found a few christine
pb all over the place!
interesting - perhaps, online, you'll find a family that's looking for a link to the past.
don't tell m
ooops
that's what m just said
th4's wh4 I was saying...
should look and see if it's online somewhere!
this is obviously a family burial plot the land used to be a farm
can you think of any of the names?
the town wouldn't let us build our new deck within 20 feet of it
Timothy, Elizabeth and Jane last name Winn
those are the ones we've been able to make out
they are under a few trees it's very idyllic
yes.. there is definitely a family name of Winn on Rhode Island
I just googled..
no this is here in Maine
oh! I thought you were in RI for some reason...
oh! nvm!!LOL
we live in RI we are here in Maine for the summer
Winn is a pretty common name
Is there a local library, that may have records?
there's a captain James Winn... was married 4 times1
what town?
there is a small library but I think it mostly caters to tourists
ogunquit
what a great name!
that's where captain winn's ship was sailed from
http://www.someoldnews.com/?p=83
supposed to mean beautiful place by the sea
that's very cool I bookmarked it
oh wait.. I guess he was married 3 times.
his house was moved..
there's stuff about him at the ogunquit heritage museum.
there are 14 cottages on the land tha was once a farm the barn is now a bed and breakfast, the orchards now have town houses and we have a log cabin at the back and that's where the grave yard is
I guess I'll need to check out the museum
My laptop is getting soooo hot, I think I'm contributing to global warming.
LOL Christine
yes! that would be so cool west!
does it mention Perkin's Cove?
I really should get one of those pads to go under it.
I have one christine it's a life saver when I'm wearing shorts
I remember I need one when I'm at home, never when I'm near the Staple's store.
I think I got mine from Starcrest of CA
it wasn't much
has a nice wrist rest too
Starcrest - are they the people that sen out looseleaf catalogs?
yes that's them but they are on line now
Super, I'll check their prices. Thanks.
sorry was off in history!LOL
there's a Winn, ME
I'm a history nut too m
netty
oops
have that lol
Yes? (that was my nickname when I was a child)
I cannot find that bloomin' no6
Good evening all
Netty, is that you?
are you lynette?
hi lyn
Yes - which is a bit hard for llittle kids to say therefore netty
My daughter id Vanessa, and her father's kids (second marriage) used to call her Nessy, which drove her crazy.
Loch Ness ?
can understand that - and Vanessa is such a lovely name
I think it';s not too hard, if the parents spell it out, the way you would any new/long word.
pretty names
We NEVER call our monster Nessie - it'd be disrespectful to an older person.
are you a desperate housewife lyn?
my poor MIL is still called by her childhood nickname....
not me! not even a redhead
your monster is quite old at that christine
what is she called m?
loller
aha! no6... I'll no6 you when i find it...
hint...hint...
aha, just as I found it, you posted. Thanks anyway.
Lola would be nice - but Loller!
yup. they call the house and even if they don't know you from adam they say "is Loller there?"
was it a name one of her siblings came up with?
what is her proper name?
yup.. sister couldn't say "mary alice"... came out "loller"
that makes perfect sense lol
and such a pretty name too
yup. can you imagine being called loller forEVER
HeWho couldn't say Aiden, and for a little while she was called Nanny... but we don't still call her th4!!!
does HeWho not want his real name posted? We know your other kids' names
yup. HeWho for "he who shall remain nameless" LOL
he's VERY private!
well all the others have such cool names so his must be too
shhhh.... it's connor
Is HeWho the one named GA** ?
see I knew it was very cool
no Gage is 4
HeWho is 19
Oh, just saWyYOu posted otherwise.
Aiden is 22 and Elina is 14
our friend's son's middle name is Gage first name Nathaniel
Bloomin' gremlins just woke
Very good names
so funny... there's so many 5 and 6 yo's named connor now. and Aidan was the #1 boys name for new babies last year or the year before or something...
'Different' names, without being embarassing.
Aiden says she's going to torture them all when they're about 13 and she's going on 30... telling them "you know...it was a girl's name!"
LOL
our oldest daughter is Jolizabeth
that's cool!
does she have a middle?
no
...and you tell her she was named after Angelina?
and neither does her first daughter
we started a trend I suppose
lol lyn she was called jolie for awhile when we were in france
I know a few women who have that as a family tradition...and then when they get married, the maiden becomes their "middle" name
My daughter's middle name is Lee, because her Daddy's a Southerner
Aiden Kathleen
My daughter's middle name is Lee - snap.
HeWho Grey
so pretty and so Irish
Elina Walker
and Gage Mason
we have an Erin Michaela
The Irish are here
apparently lol
Gage is great, so strong. Is that a common g9iven name in the US or something you made up?
not really made up. but not common at all. well... I've started noticing it.. I'm a trend setter..what can I say??
there's a bunch of little aleena, elina, elayna etc running around now too!
I worked with a woman who named her children for her maiden name, and those of her two SiL
our friend's is a family name
my parents had 9 children...and kind of went with a different nationality for each one.
scottish: Lawrence Bruce
that's very cool
My maiden name is Rita, and one of my aunts, and two cousins used the name for their daughters.
then Eric Jan
Owen David, welsh
I had an auntie Rita
Rita is great
Naomi Ruth (hebrew)
oh very
Freda Ellen (she was also kind of named after my dad.. Fred A)
Angela Maria
Your dad was Fred Astaire! WOW
Ralph Gerard (anglo saxon??)
No.. he was hay hay hay...Fred Albert!
LOL
gerard is french
lol
Michele Clare
and then I got catholic.. Mary Frances!LOL
cou
does sound like a nun's name
but I love the name Mary that was my grandmother's name
our only son was going to be MaryAnne
looked it up. Ralph AND Gerard are old english
I have a cousin Gerry and both his parents are French that's why I thought it was
Mary means bitter. and Frances means vetch. I'm a bitter vetch
Probably NormanFrench
my second son was going to be Jessie Lee - I had a daughter so she got it
really? Mary means bitter?
That explains my friend Mary then, lol
Mary should mean blessed.
it was a name long before Mary became the mother of Christ. And it means bitter.LOL
speaking of names ( I mentioned this before) one of my husband's great great aunts was Freelove
wow! that's cool!
where was that??
imagine having that name now?
the SOuth?
no they were from Michigan
At the bank, most of the girls are Philipinas, and they all are named Mary, so the go by MariCris(tina), or MariFran(ces), MariBeth and so on.
Freelove - woulda gone over fine in the 60s.
yes. the french canadians did that also.. gave all girls the name marie and all boys joseph. and then they often go by their middle name
I think that was just for baptismal purposes
genialogical nightmares...
my maternal grandparents were french canadian and all 11 of their children were named that way
laughing dog!!!!
smoooooooooochiessss
got that
Westie
hi herin!!!
(((herin)))
hi Infernal
Hi M9 Lynxx and West. where you been West?
she's been digging up graves!!!
I've been looking for words around the house
stop lol
herin would think that's cool!
LOL
herin we have an old family grave yard out by our back door and a few new graves showed up recently
ONly if they contain my ex
see?? isn't that cool herin?
uh oh..
they date back to 1848
what do you mean they"'showed up"
West so way back to what Conferation?
well there were a few small stones but the ground heaves and rocks just appear but these were pretty big ones that had been knocked down and were covered up
about 9th generation then...
that scary, 'heaving' ground, how spooky - even without the graves
that's why there are a lot of stone walls in New England
happens over time lyn lol
and there was a really bad ice storm last winter and we lost some trees
do you go there every summer?
we don't have the extremes of weather like you do, so I guess that is why I am ignorant of such strange happenings
we have been coming here since 1993 but usually rent the place out from July 1st to Labor Day this is the first summer for just us
and what's happened with your flood??
our contractor is going to meet with the insurance adjuster
might be some damage to the floor
which means our premium will go up
it's covered by insurance?? cool!
after the deductible
we couldn't believe our good luck
if you don't count the fact that the refrigerator was pouring water
wow west
yes! it was amazing th4 the contractor wanted to come
why was the refrigerator pouring water??
it was connected to a water line so we could get ice and water from the door..think the line just broke loose
and of course we aren't there
I see. Saw the other day that those refrigerators have the most repairs of all white goods
next time we'll shut off the water before we leave
it's a learning experience
can't cry over spilled water
tee hee
oohhh spilled water! can add that to mr pres's list!
what list?
she was making a list for a water diet. could only be water. Like water on the rocks.
tap water, warm water, cold water...etc...
funny..has she been on?
earlier
I'm sorry I missed her how is she doing?
fine I guess..
silly!LOL
West how long is the house alone without people?
we were there July 24th but are not going back until Sept 15th
neighbors have been keeping an eye out but they wouldn't have known about the kitchen flood...until it started pouring out the door
You really should dead switch the gas, electricity and water and turn off all power points unplug ever thing and turn off the hot water
we don't have gas and we'll know better next time
we turned down the heat
turned off I should say
there. fireworks.
yay m !!
and here I was going to go to bed at a decent time....
Well done m9!
when you do that you forget what day it is
ha!
Night M9
sometimes it's just so much fun to chat I forget about the time
but I don't have a four year old
50 down, enough for me. Goodnight all
there's a cat head peeking over my laptop screen..it's feeding time at the zoo
bye and hugs to all
Bye West
does anyone know any babble person called Sarah Underwood?
Not me
HI Ata
Did you get an email?
whoever she is decided to send lots of past logs to husband telling him about my plans to leave him
hi ata, that sounds terrible, who would do such a thing?
What a ---
Ata I have a suggestion
tell me about it ....
Anyway of finding out? ask doctor god for instance
Ata do you have her email?
nope
how would she know how to contact your husband?
true, i'll ask dr god
it must be someone who knows you
Is it the logs from babble? And did she have your husband's email?
Ok let me get this straight you don't have her email addy? Does Husband have FB?
logs from babble, apparently, and I have nooooo idea how she knows his email
She better not come onto babble --- we'll send her off with a flea in her ear, as my Grandma would say.
Have you seen her emails and adress?
no, though i'm sure he'll show me later, joy of joys
Ok how did you find this out?
Had you, on chog, threatened to leave him?
he just phoned me up saying someone called sarah underwood had emailed him lots of babble logs showing him what i'd said about him on babble and my plans to go to america
ata, who would know your husbands name even?
I have *no* idea!
OMG. What a nightmare!!
would they know from facebook? if so who knows your facebook page?
Ok. I know you have never ever referred to Mr Ata as other than Mr Ata or Husband.
Even on FB
morning all... what is going on?
How would this person know who YOU are??
So there for he is full of shit and he has been spying on you
read back in the chat sprite
just did
what a lovely day!
Ask him when he gave his email addy to Sarah?
how awful, Ata. How could he/she have gotten your hubby's email?
Herin might be right
Ihave never seen you chat about that ata. It would be hard for someone who is not a babble regular to pick all of it up
nooooo idea!
are you on msn, Ata?
Ata can you speak to me at FB?
Hi Sprite
is it possible that he has been spying on the chat? is he that intense?
will in a bit, just talking to ayla
hi lady
ok, will drop you my ideas there then
Ok Ata is he on FB?
no!
sarah could be a made up name to disguise the real person
tell Ayla hi from me. I really hate for this to happen to you!
will do :)
sandy... wanna guess? ;) Not in chat though.
I thought that sprite
me too ...
find it ....words cannot say
Ok based on facts and passed experience he is full of crap. I just googled your full name and NOTHING came up other than what you have said
someone with excellent computer skills
but he certainly has the babble logs ... he was quoting from them
anyone can read the logs , lets face it , but you would have to spend a lot of time doing it
Trust me from experience
exactly! I mean really ... someone must have spent effort on this!
nobody could 'happen' upon information like this. This takes a lot of time, work and dedication. And a seriously evil need for revenge.
but does he know what you call yourself on babble?
probably, he knows I go by ata a lot
oh dear
Ata I have done a lot of cyber spying stuff in the past and it doesn't take much to find out info. I know from my hunting just now you have nothing comming up. Pardon if that sounds creepy
it would take some work to find husband's email address
that is for sure, sandy
It would also take someone that knows the husbands name (other than Husban or Mr Ata)
which fits with someone who knows ata personally or is a computer whizz
exactly ......
Can't find his info online without a name.
this is really a terrible thing to do to someone
can you access husbands email?
Sandy All I know of Ata is her FB name no mention of husband
this is so vicious, it has to be from someone who hates you. Either that, or husband has hired a private investigator. Which sounds rather overly active from husband's part, as far as I can tell.
Which then leaves me to question what is his motives
let me just ask DrG if I can get her babble name
that is a very good start. If it is a her.
Ata I am going to fb message you
the trouble is that it is not hard to get an email address with any name , lets face it
am just going to ask husband for her email addy too. it can't get any worse, so I might as well just ask!
Ata send me a message ok?
morning all, sounds a bit cloak and dagger in here today
Hi GandJ haven't seen you for a while
Ata talk to me I know a lot of about this sort of thing ok
kids on summer holidays hard to think on here some days let alone chat
will do if I can't get hold of her email from husband or DrG!
hi g.a.j.
Ata just go and say to him that he is full of crap and that you want to see proof and her addy
hi sprite
Sprite how you?
good idea herin
Call his bluff. It is easy for me to say '''Hey you said blah blah blah'' then get you to agree or disagree or get in a snit thus proving he is right. I dealt with a cheater so you think like them
there's nothing I put on babble that wasn't true or plans I was making. I don't really even care that he saw it all. I'm more annoyed that some idiot sent it all to him
someone sounds like they have to much time on their hands and are very malicious
good morning, I have 4, 6's ap, go, no and pa, what am I missing please?
Hi Marc
morning marc
hetta
oops sorry hello Gary and helen
am going through all my internet stuff maxing the security settings!
hi Marc
Hi Marc
give me a sign when you are on msn, Ata, please
And change your passwords and do not store them
lady: am good, thanks
got the et6, hi sprite
hello herin
brrrrrrrrr
Marc - ta6/27
time for blankets, lady?
aha. I have her email address
thanks Christine
sarah.underwood@aussiemail.com.au
very good!
you DO? How?
asked husband!!
now to DrGod, I think. If (big if) this addy leads to a real person.
well the "under wood" part is apt!
I am sure that Dr God would like to know this sort of stuff
sub rosa, Jayk :() lol
wouldn't he be unlikely to divulge real names?
usually, yes. but this isn't exactly usual
he might be able to contact them on your behalf though
nothing Ata
is there a way to search the rankings?
Ata can you do me a fav
sure
Jump on FB for a micro sec
I am!
Jay you can look through the rankings but I doubt there will be a clue
ta6/27 clue, please?
if, as I expect, the sarah underwood is just a fake, the whole mail is an anonimous letter, isn't it? The police might be interested too.
anonymous ;)
ta + **tomobile + a pig is a h**
lol sorry, anonymous. It DID look odd, thanks.
sandy, i mean is there a way to search for a name? or do you just have to stare at it, like when i'm desperately trying to find gremlinn for a list
just do control + F and type the name, Jayk
all you can see is the profiles by clicking on the name and nothing else
I didnt know that
Really! Control F. who knew?
hmmm I just get an f on the chat
thanks got it
lol sandy
you need to go to the rankings page first
oooh
i tried it but it didn't work
it does work jay, i tried and the name came up blue
what am i doing wrong?
do you have a windows computer?
Yes. XP
Did everyone try it? I did, got a message no match.
go to rankings and click on edit and then find and it will open a box at the bottom of the screen
it is raining so hard that they are broadcasting flood warnings and telling people not to drive
ok, just open the Rankings page, hold Control and type F, let both go. Type the name in the little box that opens. Then wait a few seconds. The cursor will be at the first time the name appears on the page.
where in s tates are you jmc?
Got it. So there's a Sarah in Canterbury but the other 2 aren't openable
Washington DC
who is sarah and what's up?
hope weather isn't to drastic or causes to much damage
Quite a lot, JM. Read back
wtg Jayk! Nah, I think searching for a real Sarah Underwood is a waste of time. This is hackers work.
brb must open the archives
oh yes, jmc. read back for the interestingness ....
Hi, I'm the sarah from canterbury, but it's not me
it is raining several inches per hour here
good to know silver
hi sarah!
Oh good, Sarah!
lol silversarah
hi jmc!
hi - sorry to read about the email stuff - that is really horrible
Silversarah, you dodged a bullet ... when we find the other Sarah, she's gonna get it !!
yes it is. Vicious and vindictive. Really awful to do this to someone.
I'm surprised that all the chat logs are saved
Ruby will have a heart attack when she reads this
they are, in Archives, under their own date.
oh ata what a shit! Dr, God was very helpful when my stalker was on FB (which he is still on an still trying to friend a friend of mine)
hi sprite
hopefully he will be again :)
wow all the traffic news is about where the roads are flooded
DrG does not want stalking or shit like this in our community, thank God.
that is bad, jmc :(
but you can't get to the archives without being part of babbleland
Excellent point JM
well I don't mind my stalker as long as he leaves my relatives and babbleland alone
but being part of babbleland is easy.
Thank you I just had thought
not if you cause real problems Dr. God will dump you like a hot brick
yes herin?
yeah, but if you are dumped by DrG and at least one babble person thinks it was unfair... believe me, getting to the archives is the least part of this. Getting hubby's addy must have been a bit harder, but not much, for a hacker.
more likely someone hubby or ata knows I have no idea his name
it's all very very odd!
must be off, alas. Ata, all the best with this petty evil thing. Glad the person misfired and your hubby already knew everything :)
bye sprite
*hugs spritey*
take care sprite
((hugs sprite))
so hubby was only amused? or vaguely protective?
yes, what WAS his reaction?
i think pb rules have to be suspended
oops
at least for wh**
pb? whats pb?
the pb is penalty box where you "go" if you use a word in the grid in the chat box
usually chocka-blocka with goodies
:-)
but we give you wine, and hot choclit, and sweeties.
of course, thanks jmc i just am not with it today coffee not kicking in
He wasn't particularly amused. But yes, nothing he hadn't heard before, and nothing that wasn't the truth, so ...
I baked some yummy chocolate flapjacks if anyone wants some ;o)
Hot coffee in there, just for you.
did he claim to know the person?
awwww thanks, i am on second cup here with shortbread
Or, I have Earl Grey tea.
i may have to go face my kitchen with a leak (and the appraiser coming today!) and make some coffee in my newly EMPTY house!
are you moving?
Burglars, jmcnrick ??
my house hasn't been empty since july lol but kids going to out laws next week for a few days :o)
nope my boy moved into his own apartment near campus
YAY!!!
*pours a spot of whiskey in garyandjulies's coffee*
big step
he has been in and out since he was 17
then why the appraiser?
i just hope it sticks this time
he is 25
oh refinance sorry that was confusing
Yikes! 25
my daughter was like that from 16, she's finally settled down in her own place with full time job and happy
shes 20 now
hello everybody
47 words this AM
hi ruby, how are you?
hi ruby
I'm OK but if a murder happens in the Haute Savoie, you'll all know who was the perp!
oh dear some one is writing huge checks on one of the orgs I am Treasurer for *sigh*
hi ruby
mr nobody ;)
dear me ruby a rough day?
hello sandy! I've missed you.
hello sandy! I've missed you.
hi sandy
It is no joke around here. The good news is that the may(esse) is adamant about having the dog euthanized, but the owners are fighting it.
JM you learned this how?
hi sandy
mayoresse*
an email from the bookkeeper who keeps getting calls from people asking her what the multi thousand dollar checks are for
mayoresse sounds like a condiment
that is horrible, jmc! I've been reading about identity-theft, but figured we were too small to be targets
well this is more a check kiting scheme than identity theft
Writing checks to send to others? not to keep the money?
I think she takes her role seriously, even though they've given her a demeaning title
my guess is they will write one to themselves and hope it gets buried in the otherones
they ever use "doctoresse"
esse means woman? :-p
horrible! they're 20 years behind the US
sexist terms
I hate it!
don't use them -- that is how change begins
I've been a feminist since the term was invented, I think, just the right age.
Ruby I emailed you
I will look, Sandy, I've certainly missed you
I hope I can e-mail and play babble from jail.....
now ruby don't say rash things
rash ruby!
and most jails don't allow internet usage anymore
oh no! even in France?
too many illegal scams happened from prison computers
that is too funny!
sad but true
I don't think the criminals are so smart here, just well-connected so that they break out! particularly if they're Corsican!
must go make some coffee bbl
Ruby, how is husband and how are you?
husband is healing but I may murder him first! Aside from that, everything is fine LOL
whats he healing from? sorry being nosy
I dominated the chat for days; he was savaged by a very large dog.
it's 2 1/2 weeks ago and I think he's doing really well, but he complains about taking so much medicine.....
and that includes betadine on the open wounds!
not been around, kids taken lot of my time. thats awful. Some people really don't keep their pets/kids under control.
and now there is a battle between the mayor(esse) and the owners about euthanizing the dog
husband is stoic about pain but whines about meds! aaaarghhhh!
Surely the owners have no chance
if the owners had dog under control in first place they wouldnt be having to argue about it
my question now is whether we need a lawyer before the hearing (trial?) in November. It is very hard doing this all in French!
and husband is no help. Thank God for the little nurse who comes every day to change the dfressings. I give her tomatoes from the garden and lots of hugs.
better safe than sorry. don't ost solicitors do a free assesment meeting? you could go along and find out what and if you need one
I think many of the neighbors will turn out for the hearing since they were there right after the attack.
I am just so tired.....
I can imagine ruby, it's not just the physical side its the emotional side to. It all wears people down
november seems a long time off to be waiting for closure on this though
and husband is not an easy person, wasn't before and certainly isn't now!
fortunately, the nurse has taken photos every week and the police have all of them, as has the mayor(esse)
Be patient Ruby, just remember if you want a sainthood you must work for it
hopefully, by then, we'll have final expenses, which the people will have to pay
good least it is documented, it will all help in the long run.
sandy, you mean I don't have it already RAOFL!!!!
they are crazy to go to court over such an animal
I am working on my sainthood Ruby
years ago a woman on drugs burst into our home after older son and tried to get at son, our dog bit her. had to pay for her medication!
they don't want it destroyed but I think the women of the village will burn their house down if they don't
I find that rule is ridiculous Gary but it is the law here also
that is terrible, garyand j!
her 5 year od son said my 9 year old had hit him, turns out my 9 year old was in my mums house 2 doors away when he was supposed to have done it
I don't know about here as we are still American citizens. I think, however, that the local police, the gendarmes (national police) and the mayor, do much more than they would in the US!!!!
only thing saved our dog was she burst into our home screaming and tried to follow son up the stairs
Are they keeping the dog well secure from others now?
We have two big dogs (chow chows), but they are only guard dogs and would never bite anybody, unless the person tried to hurt me (not husband)
it is still in dog prison
what kind of dog do you have gand j?
that is good, no worries about it attacking others while waiting for the hearing
today, the mayor went to see the owners with photos of husband's wounds!
we had a mongrel, was such a mix i couldn't tell you what it was. But was a really gentle soul usually. when i was pregnant followed me around and used to lay with head on bump
good morning all
could probably hear the heartbeat of the baby and was probably smitten before baby was born!!!!
I have no understanding of people who keep vicious dogs
hi boo
I think it's vanity, sandy
hello boo
there are certainly people who think chows are vicious!
I dont know what it is
he knew before us, took 8 weeks before a test became positive and he was following me around like a shadow for most of them. Couldn't understand why but he knew bless
I have come across chows who are not good with other dogs
our chows are angels, but the breeder destroyed any puppies that showed any signs of aggression.
I think a lot depends on the owners no matter the breed
that is lovely, gandj!
Our dogs have all had similar personalities - none savage
it all comes down to in the end how they are brought up to be or allowed to be sandy I think. Much like children. My opinion but could be wrong
you are right gary
but you have to have them young and these people, with the bad beauceron, adopted him as an adult without (evidently) knowing his background
clue for ap 6 please
totally agree, gandj
highest point in the orbit, boo
ap and chinese porridge
ap + burn the l** + double vowel
?? gandj hahah
I am such a simple soul compared to the rest of you geniuses
rah
but the nicest, sandy!!!! and not simple in my book!
rah to you, herin!
hoe you all
Maybe you're simply nice ??
opps HOW (so don't eat and babble)
im talking claptrap lol just not with it today im thinking of wrong word that one begines with c lol
hoe yourself !!
I am wired, all sugared up from an ice cream desert at lucnh!
ap + double curve edging
who you calling a hoe?
strange word
how do you spell lu***?
I would say the hoe came from failed mutitasking
Gawd, what a questuion ... what is lu***??
Ruby, you are a hoer (another word for gardener)
or maybe excellent multi-tasking!!!! lol
raofl
second laugh of the day; I am developing horrible drown lines!
drown lines?
don't drown ruby!
yesterday, I was given about 50 irises. I hope the colors go with my limited-color-range-garden!
frown!!
I'm drowning......
bonjour jean
Sssshhh -- it's her plan for hubby, if he doesn't loosen-up.
in the fishpond. Sally's pond nets will keep him under!
I'm allergic to gardening lol
is Mr. Dogmeat misbehaving?
I have a handyman and I just point!
asked older son to prune mini weeping willow so he sawed in off at base, little moo bag lol
if you would like an extra husband, I'll pack him up
love that idea ruby, will adopt it when i get married lol
that bad eh?
I just look away when handyman prunes; yesterday he cut off all of the lavender which wasn't finished flowering.... No matter what, it's better than doing it myself!
love the attitude :)
gardening is very strenuous; just picking blackberries puts me on the floor
Ruby, did you know that fmitch's cleaner wears a g string, is that the same with your handyman (is that why you look away?)
as for extra hubby, think one in training is more than enough for now thankyou, such a generous offer though lol
eeew!
If someone seagulls me they get a wedgie
now THAT sounds interesting
hahah herin! I love this place, it makes me smile!
"seagulls you"?
what is seagull in that context?
Sandyloo, a friend of mine had a cleaner who was a Chippendale dancer at the weekend - but he kept his clothes while he cleaned.
oh i don't mind blackberrie picking, means I can make jam
that is a hoot, christine!
Ok have you heard of Whale Tale
tail
no
Chris........I cant speak and mitch will be so jealous
the beries are very sour this year, so I make jelly
It is when ones G string pokes out the top of their pants
whale tale? i ONLY KNOW ABOUT THE WHALE WHO LANDED ON THE DECK OF A SAILBOAT!
I bet he'd work for you, if you pay his fare to Oz.
whoops, sorry about caps, very big pinkies
ok got it
well it does look like a whale tale
You're right about this site making us laugh.
we had someone eaten by a shark down south yesterday, did you read about that Herin?
this group of babblers is wonderful, just the ticket for smiles
and what about someone who "seagulls you"?
don't go near the water!
is that like mooning?
also make ice cream with strawberries, raspberries or blackberries. youngest got a thing about fruit textures so try to sneak them into his diet. Will eat most veg though
I wish someone would come by, and make a pot of tea ...pleeeez
I'm like that about "textured" food, want everything strained or pureed
I'm on my may, Christine!
way* duh
I make liqueurs.....
However you spell it, I'm grateful.
Well in my head Seagull is the same thing the Thong looks like a bird
clue for be 4/7 please
falling down
what ones ruby?
my sister in law once made peach wine, it was amazing
blackberry, cassis and plum
i once made a lovely easy few bottles of cranberry vodka. rather partial to vodka and blackberry wine
send me you recipe for any liquer Ruby, please
before lunch, today, I had blackberry (leftover from making jelly) mixed with vodka and sugar. How bad is that? No wonder I'm wired
We used to make peach brandy - slide the bottle over the peach before it started to grow - makes a lovely Christmas gift.
be 4/7--girl;s name
hello everyone
ty Annie
Hello, Anniebrook.
hi annie
hi annie
I used something called "marc de savoie", which is a very neutral alcohol but vodka is just as good. Strain whatever, mixed with some sugar and cooked, and bottle it. Some of it is wonderful, some of it solidifies....
hi christine sorry missed saying hello earlier
hi sandy, chris, garyand julie, ruby
hello annie
cassis and red currants tend to solidify as they have so much natural pectin. Then it's like jello shooters!
don't drink much these days. goes to my head so quickly am out of practice lol
time for a siesta while waiting for little nurse. Then husband has an accounting appt where I'll have to interpret. Yippee!!
jello shooters are the best!
not that I drink or anything.....
Bye Ruby
going to e-mails and *poof*
It is so cold here remind me of this when I complain I can't get cold
take care ruby
bye ruby , hi herin
going to feed youngest his lunch and go shopping. Back for last 20 later. this chat as addictive as the grid
take care all
bye g&j
morning all!
Hi champ
Hi Champ
Back again - very strange news on tv - two fetuses found, wrapped in 1932 newspapers, in a trunk hidden at the back of a storage room, in an apartment building that is being renovated ...
weird...odd...sad...
I think I raise what champ said and add ewww
And interesting
what is wrong with some people these days..who would do something like that..
But you wonder what terrible thing was happening to someone that they could do such a thing. Yesterday we heard of a woman who murdered her two babies, strapped them in their carseats, and sent the car into a lake. She said she didn't have a job, and no money to keep them. Sorry for the babies and the poor mother.
That happened years ago too, the mom and the lake thing. But with two fetuses, are you thinking they had the old newspaper NOW and wrapped them, or they're their from 1932?
I would say that if they were from the 1930's that wouldn't be to stange.
But the mum killing her kids people do just snap.
that's what i thought...
A police officer was interviewd, and said the coroner thinks the bodies are probably that old - at least at first glance.
but that's not a nice way to go...
en my daughter was small, I never spanked her for nautiness, because I read of a woman in L.A.who killed her child, and I was afraid of where it could go - what if you couldn't stop.
My friend many many many years ago when her daughter was born the wee one was crying and crying and she was going crazy. She got as far as getting a pillow to smoother the baby then realised what she was doing, she screamed for her husband and left the room. She would never do anything to hurt the baby
I'm not big on smacking either...did have one time when I was pregnant in July, and my oldest was 13, and mouthing off. Chased his butt all over the place but couldn't catch him! One smack and all would've been right with the world, but NO! ;)
Something looked wrong in that post - s/b naughtiness? that looks wrong, too
Post partum is a terrible thing - a woman who had her baby the same time as I did, told me (at the 6week check-up) that she almost smothered her baby. Hormones, and lack of sleep, all take their toll.
Your hormones are screwy for a VERY long time after...
My baby was 3 weeks, and DH's grandma came to visit for 2weeks - in a studio apartment. She was my first candidate for mayhem.
uuuuuggggghhhhh...my MIL lived nearby, and came over every day till I asked her to stop. It was making me nuts...her watching me watch the baby...!
Champ maybe she had the best interests at heart
she absolutely did! The woman was a saint! But I needed to learn by myself. I was nice, she was nice, it was ok.
My friend recently found it tough with a new baby
When she came out to Calif. later in the year, I loved her, but I just didn't have the energy to entertain - I was in bed for two weeks. My mother-in-Law, who I kept in the divorce settlement, would come by once a week. I think Granny staying with us was my father-in-law's idea !!
Gotta love those FIL's too!
It is so cold the cat is on the heater
turd
Glad my baby days are over! My brother and his wife are just starting out, (1 and 3 yr olds), and he's 46. It's kicking his butt!!!
I've been divorced about 35 years, and my ex has been married about that time, but my Millie always referred to me as her daughter-in-law, and if I hadn't had a mother of my own, she would've been my choice.
I am so cold it doesn't help that someone thinks heater vent hogging is a brilliant idea
good morning everyone and good evening {{Herin}}
awww Christine that is sweet. You can totally keep my future MIL.
MOOOOOOOOOOOom
It's 80+ degrees and lots of humidity here herin...can't relate.
Morning!!!
{{{{{Herin}}}}}
Hi Champ
Champ I will complain when it is summer
My Millie was just like Lucille Ball -when I first met her, she had red hair. I miss her more than I miss her son, although he's not the worst man in my life.
My MIL passed 2 years ago, and I still miss her. She was the kind that would take my kids, and I'd have to beg to get them back! If I didn't have my own mom, I'd have co-opted her in a heartbeat!
only a parent can understand how thin the line is to child abuse and how completely unforgivable it is to allow it
hi all
Well, still waiting for Rubyfoo to make a pot of tea ... guess I'll do it myself.
you got that right!
my MIL is still around physically but not so much mentally
pour a cup for me christine
oh, that's hard jmc
Hi JM
brb
morning Jmcnrick
My Dad used to say if ever there was a divorce, he'd keep my Mum's mum. And, since she liked him more than her daughter, she's probably have gone along with it.
it is hard -- she was doing great until she broke her hip
Back soon.
I kept my x's mum and got rid of him
best choice ever
And that's starts the downslide...I'm sorry!
typical story of her -- one of the women in her nursing home or whatever the pc name of the things are these days fell and my MIL instead of calling someone to help tried to pick the woman up her self and fell and broke her hip
and i am being a very bad dil because i just finished dealing with my mother's horrible decline and death
i haven't gone over to see her in months but before her fall i saw her once a week and took her to lunch
I know what you mean! Just lost my dad in October, and if someone else came along with issues, it would be tough...very glad mom is 9 years younger...
you can only take so much you know
yean
SORRY!!! PB
pb! :-)
And I already had the dang thing!!!
lol that was the last word i put in at 6:16 before I got up to make coffee and clean the kitchen

Hi everybody. Could someone help me with my last word? It is a 5-letter w. I have wh5/20 and wi5/24 so am missing the last one. I've been messing around trying to find it for the last 30 minutes.
good for you trentsnana! I need the last th8...
ty
yes she has lost some wt. but she was eating the other cat's food before she stayed at the vet. it was wt loss food
sounds like a drug to me

its going okay (unless you mean the grid)
I did mean the grid, but I am glad all else is going okay :)
ooo I must go get an new icon brb
rats i can't find the cartoon character i wanted -- he is fairly obscure
the grid is grim
take your time :)
cbr, did you get your who word? It's a horse command.
rats that icon didn't work must try again!
speaking of grim... my love just comes home from the hospital... had gone in for testing for apnoea, had to go to the lung specialist today. They say there is a dark spot on one of his lungs.
Oh sprite. I hope it turns out to be better than your worst fears.
'morning...(jmc - got your email and will meet you there) :)

hoi
hoi
TY. A monetary unit of Zambia!
thank you Haz and hi
You learn something every day!
You're welcome. Hello, sprite - sorry you've had worrying news.
alrighty then
what about the G?
thank you. Can be nothing, of course, but also something. It is scary.
hola haz!
I know, it's the not knowing.
if you had go6 the g, you wouldn't have to ask
Hello EvaN and hurshy.
nvm, oh, thanks sprite, but i pulled a peri :P
yes exactly.
what is the 8?
th8.
th plus consumption of food by a charged particle.
(th)ank you
9 left, 6 of them are 5 letter words
i guess i'm bad at 5's
*stealth hugs sprite*
hi EvaN
stiddieeeee... so glad to see you.
*stealth hugs hurshy*
why all the stealth?
Shhhh. Babbling on phone, still not officially awake...
for the person asking for the 3rd w 5 word, it is wi5/28. Rhymes with a person who has insincere eyes... sh**** eyes.
*waves at everyone*
Hello, stidmama.
Haz! *hugs* I almost never get to see you morning folks any more.
gotta go, wanna be a little closer to my love in case he needs me. Bye.
Thanks for wi5 btw
I know. We're neglected shamefully.
(((Sprite))) see you
Bye sprite - courage...
Brb
so how are things in your wonderful world, o queen?
Things have been interesting. I had my gall bladder removed yesterday.
Gotta go... *hugs all* *poof*
goodness! same thing my husband had for his first surgery. how did it go?
Bye stidmama.
It went fine. Keyhole surgery (just about 24 hours ago), and got home this morning.
What??? *gentle hugs for haz.... concerned mama look* I hope you mend quickly and feel wonderful soon. *repoof*
Thanks, stidmama.
And the other news that you might not have heard, hurshy, is that my daughter got engaged and is to be married next summer.
Hurshy must have rushed out to buy a hat Haz :)
Maybe so!
How are you? Busy day working?
Getting things organised and files set up and brain in gear after the summer break - hard work.
I need some WD40 for for the cogs in my brain :)
It's the getting back into a routine, isn't it? And knowing that the autumn is coming.
morning, all
Autumn is coming? Tell that to the pigeons who seem to be having rumpy pumpy as though it were still spring.
Hi TnC
Hello TnC.
Our house-martins have had their second clutch. The babies are chirping like mad.
Oh how lovely, there are still some swifts left but most seem to have started their migration.
We had robins nesting in one of our trees, but it was impossible to see the nest, you could only hear them chirping away.
lol head but not seen. Was the spangly one very excited to see you when you got back this morning?
She was pleased to see me, but not too over-excited. I don't think dogs have any concept of time so it maybe hadn't registered with her that I had been away.
It was nothing compared to the frenzy of excitement she shows for beloved visitors.
Well I supposed it had only been 24 hours. Amazing if you think about it the whole operation process and via keyhole in and out in 24 hours. 30 years ago it would have been a very different story. LOL
Absolutely. My mother had hers removed in 1966 and she was in hospital for a fortnight.
wow!
OK break time over, have some phone calls and emails to attend to, might see you later?
You never know - am probably going to have a bit of a snooze, but I may look in later on.
I can tackle the housework after that.
Hsnoozing is good. TTFN. Housework can wait until tomorrow at least for heavens sake!!!!!
Written in comedy font, I assure you.
Although I have got the laundry underway.
Anyway, off I go and nice to 'see' you again.
*gone*
good morning all
Does anyone have a clue for the ap 6?
the farthest or highest point
tyvm Jeff
yw
can anyone please clue me for th8
th 4 + mr. Hawthorne
thanks ruru
thank you but I have no clue as to Mr. Hawthorne
american lit, rhonda!
male name
and thanks ruru, I needed that.
are you out here yet Dorens?
Thanks Dorens....Amer lit...gotcha
nope.. coming saturday afternoon... son David is in Napa now tho with inlaws... ate at morimoto and is happy
so.. are we meeting next friday? and not this one?
yes... oh my goodness. i'm sorry if i misled you
I set up for this week.. no problem.. I will change it to next week.
hey, did you see the wines Ken brought over? i think i emailed you
I got your list. wow...
Do you know how much those wines are worth?
he must be feeling very guilty... i googled a couple.. now i don't know how I can drink them.
That was really a nice box..
It is only food.. keep telling yourself that...
he has really a nice cellar... thousands of those, no kidding
I have no guilt about drinking inexpensive or expensive wine..
wow.. 82 Margaux is about $1K per bottle nowadays
well, i know i'll enjoy them.. the gevrey chambertin and beaucastels were quite enjoyable when they were his... my only problem is that i don't have the cellar to go down to anymore... once i've had them, they're gone
drop him a note and tell him thanks and tell him the Margaux was a big hit and your favorite.. maybe he'll bring more..lol
i know... that one really surprised me... but he bought hem back in 82 when he ws filthy rich... remember junk bonds? he was a bond trder
haha... i did email him as soon as i opened them up. and said "wow" among other niceties
buy a small reefer wine storage unit.. that holds 30 bottles and store them in there. they are really inexpensive.
i have racks in my subterranean garage... almost like a basement, no heat, and even cool in the summer
I have a list of Napa stops to email you after our doggie lesson today
how cool?
okay, great. will be much appreciated
not sure... will get a thermometer down there... it's been good enough for my other wines... and he thought it was good, but maybe not for the margaux. then again, I will probably drink it soon, just because
the 82's are great right now. I don't have any left.. they were so yummy
the gevrey should be great too. Beaucastel I used to sell... it will live a lot longer
too bad he didn't buy you a nice new car to go with the wine selections..lol
got to make mrs. ru brekkie.. be back in a bit
oh man! my last word was the wi5/28! i'm gonna use that word all day long!!
it's a great word, but what does it mean? it's a babblet!
sorry, got called away. lucky mrs. ru. ... see you later ru
no wi 5/28 is not a babblet
means flaky, quirky, fey
hello all..
the urban dictionary said it was another word to describe cool or awesome things
hi red, how are you?
see everyone later...off to a lunch date with friends!
enjoy bit
good, little tired from morning workout adventures, but..now sitting which feels nice.
i'm enjoying my electricity being back on.. was out for two hours this morning
that is enjoyable!
take so much for granted... am lost without computer.. but i have made up for it this last hour... have to go get some other stuff done now.. happy babbles
hi babblers and bye doren, have a good day
hi jbv
hi red - how are things?
good good, and you?
settling into my new routine - it's great
how did I ever have time to work?
that is nice to hear, I am a little jealous!
your time will come
when I am 70, I think...
70 is the new 50 :)
this grid is not so simple!
nope, I have 16 left, haven't checked the list yet
43 here...
I am ever so ready to retire.. but we aren't there yet.
my decision was rather sudden (I had planned to work at least one more year) but I am sure I did the right thing
I retired at 62 so I could spend time with my grandchildren and my mother
yaa for jbv, always retire as soon as you can, work is highly overrated lol.my F.I.L says he is so busy,he winders how he ever had time for it anyways ;)
similar reason here - bichon - my husband has been retired for 4 years and was kind of waiting for me to catch up
that's exactly what I said, crossy (10:51)
lol!
Well, I keep saving but...I think i'll be working for a long long time.
My husband, who's a year + younger than me is still working. If he retires, we lose our health insurance and can rely only on Medicare
especially while your mate is sitting there waiting and counting his toes:)
that's a biggie - health insurance, very costly if you have to pay for it on your own
it may not be perfect but..GOD BLESS OUR HEALTH CARE PLAN:)
My m.i.l. [his Mom] worked til 82. I've told him I expect no less of him
i remember when we had the old O.H.I.P plan before this and it was costing me almost 300 per month for me and the wife and our newborn;(
lol bichon...
"lol@ working till 82..ill drop in the traces before i get that far and they will bury me with my separation slip lol"
Does anybody have an email address for Christine? I offered to send her an item she wanted if she would send me her address, and gave mine in the chat. But from what she said (just before she left!) I think maybe she thought I already had it - I haven't received an email from her.
Nonsense, crossey - they don't issue separation slips for people who die on the job! They don't want you trying to collect EI from beyond the grave.
lol
lol, they have to,or they will keep hitting my wife up for payments on taxable income lol
we had a member of the family (my uncle) who passed owing a bit on his credit card.what fun trying to get them to understand the poor man was dead.we finally just told them to put in a change of address form and game them the addy of the mortuary and the plot number..then they got the idea
probably a lot of bill envelopes on the grave now ...
i mean they were going on about how the 182.63 would go to collections and may affect his credit rating...lady,i do not think he gives a damn about his credit rating..he is dead!
i mean talk about going through the motions from the company play book!"
will he be back soon sir?..well,maybe with a ouijii board but other than that i would have to say no
pizza and salad for lunch today. not optimistic about this pizza...
uh oh....lunch room pizza?
worse -- frozen "healthy" pizza.
acck!
healthy pizza?..why bother? lol
well, it IS pepperoni...heh
thats like that coke zero..zero caffeine, zero sugar, zero calories..whats the point?
taste? maybe there is still some phantom pizza flavor in here somewhere... ::bravely takes a bite::
good luck...
hrm. fairly bland. at least i have leftover farmers market corn on the cob for later. :)
HEY ALL!!!
hey EvaN!
wife tried to lay one of those flavored rice cakes on me the other day,i took one bite and told her that i could get more of a taste sensation by eating the couch slip covers

seeya mama
hello mside
howya doing, jacq
"coputate" is a word like" refudiate."
It means cyber-sex. It's a portmanteau.
Are ya with me?
Clever... word-mashing.
Guess not!
In a sentence- "Once he started to coputate, it became an addiction."
reminds me of the word scientologist..
a big noisy word that is a combination of other and really means squat;0
Ok...
heya crossy
howdy jacq
finally nbt, with 20 left
hi all
heya jmc

I have been coputating all day.
upper a or y, anyone?
et's?
by upper a which do you mean ?
2nd column from the right
i don't work that way...
how do you work?
Hm- that leaves me open to all kinds of wisecracks. But to play it straight, I guess and guess and when I hit the wall I go to Lickety.
I could use some wisecracks; it is not funny around here!
((ruby))
{{crossy}}
somebody tell a joke, pls!
Or I use the word stats to tell me how many there are in each...
yeah(((((((((((())))))))))))))))))))))
I j
hug more with my right than my left
I'm a leftie, so that works.....
i have one for you ruby...
There are 2 four letter words my monkeys can't get!
...................
*looks in mirror* seems funny to me
A man escapes from prison where he has been for 15 years. He breaks into a house to look for money and guns and finds a young couple in bed. He orders the guy out of bed and ties him to a chair, while tying the girl to the bed he gets on top of her, kisses her neck, then gets up and goes into the bathroom. While he's in there, the husband tells his wife: "Listen, this guy's an escaped convict, look at his clothes! He probably spent lots of time in jail and hasn't seen a woman in years. I saw how he kissed your neck." If he wants s*x, don't resist, don't complain, do whatever he tells you. Satisfy him no matter how much he nauseates you. This guy is probably very dangerous. If he gets angry, he'll k*ll us. Be strong, honey. I love you." To which his wife responds: "He wasn't kissing my neck. He was whispering in my ear. He told me he was gay, thought you were cute, and asked me if we had any vaseline. I told him it was in the bathroom. Be strong honey. I love you too!!"
last time I told a joke in the chog the crickets were deafening
LOLOLOLOLOL
OMG- that's too much!

brrrum brrrrum
"sick" wasn't necessarily a "nay"
some people like sick.

oh yes, jmc! hahah
I will be back for my last sick--I mean six--later.

vroom is a smaller bike lol!
thunder in the glens! hmmm
someone gave my husband a Harley. It needs mufflers.
not for the people in the glens jac! lol
noooooo, the louder the bike the safer
husband's daughter has one, but she's in California, so we don't have to hear it
that's what she says
these new quiet bikes are a hazzard to rider and driver
anyone want clues? I asked earlier, but then had to run out of the office for a little bit
they love it JMC, we go from aviemore to grantown and around Lochindorb and they line the streets to watch, it's quite a sight
No, you need to pay attention to what you are doing.
this place is a harley magnet on weekends; I think everybody in Europe with one comes to Annecy and the all pass beneath our road
rolling thunder comes every veteran's day to DC
hi, all, this looks like a tough grid

hello all.....might there be a clue for that STUPID G word???
a nice clean kid joke for kaplan...
my last word was entered at 9:30 and it is now 2 pm
A priest is walking down the street one day when he notices a very small boy trying to press a doorbell on a house across the street. However, the boy is very small and the doorbell is too high for him to reach. After watching the boy's efforts for some time, the priest moves closer to the boy's position. He steps smartly across the street, walks up behind the little fellow and, placing his hand kindly on the child's shoulder leans over and gives the doorbell a sold ring. Crouching down to the child's level, the priest smiles benevolently and asks, "And now what, my little man?" To which the boy replies, "Now we run!"
you haven't go6 it yet?
of for gosh golly sakes.....
ty jmc

what a lot of grumpy guses today (including me since my internet and phones at the Hotline are down
no, i think i should jump on it. i have been trying to find that g word for an embarrassingly long amount of time
here you go guernsey...
A newlywed couple moves into their new house. One day the husband comes home from work and his wife says, "Honey, you know, in the upstairs bathroom one of the pipes is leaking, could you fix it?" The husband says, "What do I look like, Mr. Plumber?" A few days go by, and he comes home from work and his wife says, "Honey, the car won't start. I think it needs a new battery. Could you change it for me?" He says: "What do I look like, Mr. Goodwrench?" Another few days go by, and it's raining pretty hard. The wife finds a leak in the roof. She says, "Honey, there's a leak on the roof! Can you please fix it?" He says, "What do I look like, Bob Vila?" The next day the husband comes home, and the roof is fixed. So is the plumbing. So is the car. He asks his wife what happened. "Oh, I had a handyman come in and fix them," she says. "Great! How much is that going to cost me?" he snarls. Wife says: "Nothing. He said he'd do it for free if I either baked him a cake or slept with him." "Uh, well, what kind of cake did you make?" asks the husband. "What do I look like," she says, "Betty Crocker?"
ty mside
not grumpy here, just had cullen skink and am sitting wondering how to get the smell out of the house lol
ty mside, I didn't have car so greyed out that a, but how about the other a?
WHAT is cullen skink?
that is what fish is for aknitter
who is cullen skink?
LOLOLOL crossy
cullen skink is a rich fish soup made with smoked haddock, cream, milk potatoes and onion
the other a is the same as one of the a4s from the righthand a, but change the vowel in it
it's lovely
lolololol. rofl
hi mside have we met? welcome to babbleland
we have now, pleased to be here and make your acquaintance =)
we need cullen skink in the pb
sounds smelly
*curtsies*
thank you mside
mmm cullen skink...
that sounds delicious!!
mmmmmmmmm you can get it in a tin, baxters do it as part of their luxury export range, but it's really expensive and tastes like poop
*turns on the industrial exhaust fan in the pb*
and I think I'm changing my name!
reminds me of the fish pies my ma used to make
changing your name?? but why ruby?/ i won't remember who you were then
hey now, hold on I spend a lot of time in that PB and i don't want no stinkin' fish in there. only dessert and pizza
to cullen skink!
lol no no ruby!
LOLOLOLOLOLOL
no ruby. i love your name
passing out nose clips
I've written down the ingredients, jacq, I've been looking for something I would like to eat
it only smells becxause the fish is smoked
I am becoming disinterested in food
have to go . my sister in law wants a freecell competition. bbl
well ruby, you can make it two ways, cook the potatoes slowly in a milk and water mix, or just in water, just enough to cover them, with the onions of course
I only crave hard-coiled eggs
bye guernsey
the sturgeon general has determined that smoking fish is hazardous to your health
lolol, akn!
bye girlie
boiled*]
then just add the fish, i always debone it, let is break up on its own then add more milk and cram till you are happy with the consistency
LOL aknitter
aww my bridge still isn't showing
lol aknitter
then put it into a leak proof container and toss in the trash !!
cute aknitter
I feel better, smiling now and nbt and a new recipe
LOL
I've made soups like that akn; last time it was borscht, all the right ingredients but it was awful and I tossed it
hides my leftover skink (always better second day)
oh gross there is a tarantula on the ceiling. someone want to squish it for me (hate spiders)
oh wait, I still need a y!
its coming towards me HEP
they make a good stew..pure protein there
i remember sucking a huge spider up when i was hoovering and i finished doing the stairs then turned the hoover off and the damned spider crawled out of the hose
OMG! I like spiders but not in the house and NOT tarantulas. You're kidding, right.....
i was outside in the garden screaming
my mrs also hates spiders lol
it is ginormous. i have to kill it but must walk under it to get the paper towel
ohhhhhh
rather you than me
i need a paper bag
then it drops into yer hair
shush crossy
or a rifle
lol
shut up crossy!!! omg
i would die of fright.
rifle sounds good
can't stand the suspense
will be right back
jacq must be coming to kill it
I had no idea there were tarantulas in the NE! Maybe it's somebody's pet!
no way
hairspray!
windex!
actually good old high volume sticky hairspray will do them im\
the problem would be spraying UP
damn it jumped and i missed it! i think i wounded it thou. did you hear me screaming? where the heck is it
kitchen blowtorch (ala Martha Stewart)
oh no!
lol
yes, I could hear you but I was, too
good thing i don't have neighbors they would have called the police!
animal control
if you find it on the floor, drop a phone book on it
adding to shopping list..... 1 blow torch
my hands are shaking for you
you can use it afterwards for browning your flan!
i agree with ruby, drop the phone book on it then jump on the book just to be sure use an old one you can throw out
MY hands are shaking for me! LOL
what if it takes the book and dials its friends? lol
crossy!!!!
CROSSY! you are not helping
in my old office, I was the go-to person for getting rid of willife. We used to get GIANT roaches (waterbugs?) and when I would drop the phone book, we expect it to start moving
how big is it, akn?
crossy hate cockroaches..shudder....
it is the size of a dinner plate!
lol
you are kidding.....
oh my feffing boo
oh my bob!!!
I think I would move away
well at least it appears so to me...... probably quarter-sized toe to to
toe
put a saddle on it!!!
or just rent the place to the spider...
i agree with crossy
oh so helpful
is it on the floor?
we had a chipmunk we had to get rid of and then a group of baby squirrel
in the house?
uh oh..gansta squirrels....
lets change the subject..... how about puppies, kittens....bunnies
I rescue birds in the house fairly often and one bat. Husband left the room and closed the door
my bridge still hasn't shown up, why do i have so many issues changing my icon?
i like birds, bats too
I saw a photo of a Flemish giant rabbit which weighed 18 lbs. Very cute
jacq i see abridge. it isa beauty
i see your bridge jacq,a nice hobbity bridge
it actually looked a lot like a kangaroo but better proportioned
i can handle most things but not spiders or daddylonglegs (like spiders with long bodies and wings)
thats where we went at the weekend
an 18lb rabbit would make a good dinner
mmm..rabbits
jacq your daddy long legs have wings? ours don't they are tall and leggy like spiders but have only 6 legs
what a beautiful place, jacq
i think ours have 6 legs but i always too busy running and screaming to count them lol
ah a girl after my own heart!
And fireworks for me.
I think of those "daddy long legs" as giant mosquitoes and try to rescue them
they can't fly straight and bump into things
wtg zooz
you snuck up on us zzzooozzz
lol..yes i have been lurking for an hour or so..lol
hope you are all well?
great here apart from akn's spider hunt
we have a cave in the cliff above the house which has tiny black bats. If Ruby and I are in the garden at twilight, they circle us and come really close. One night I counted 96 "passes"
wow ruby, we have one or two here
it's so cold now, though, that they aren't coming around
we are no longer allowed to mention the "S" word. he is limping around here somewhere
I've always loved bats, but evidently they can be rabid
do you have a dog or cat, akn?
tarantuals have a delicate exoskeleton, so it may have been killed in the fall
coming back for revenge AK..lol
i have to very brave cats. they are sitting on the arms of the chair sleeping
zooz!!! you are as bad as crossy
2
have you ever seen a cat eat an "s word"?
i am going with that killed in the fall thing'
:-)
i remember my daughter telling me about one she handled and the man told her not to drop it because the fall could kill it
you are all very brave.....and on the other side of the planet
I'm telling the housekeeper about the "s" coming out of the hoover. That's what she does
as she's afraid of them
LOL ruby, it scared the living bejesus out of me
how could it have survived the hoover?
I told her that the whole system is probably full of them, waiting to take their revenge on her!
it must have held on LOL
try saying that in French!
it wasn't a good hoover, poor suction
that was why i did the stairs after sucking it up
you are all very funny. i would like you all to come across the ocean and see how brave
our kitties love spider, all you hear is crunch, crunch and see 3 legs poking out of their mough and you know they caught a snack
ewww and then they lick your face
Ruby tortures moths
believe me akn, i would be swimming back across the atlantic by now
spider breath
lol
ewwwwwwww
crossy you are terrible
you are welcome to fly over and stay in our guestroom, akn, I'll make sure there's no wildlife!
hello...can i have help with the fy5?
ty ruby you are too kind. i might just have to leaver here if i see any more crawlies
must say gd night everybody
i have had one survive the washing machine, i saw it on a white towel as i started to shake it and i couldn;t stop the motion and then the s was gone and so was i, in the garden stripping and screaming because it went down my top

this is SOOOoooo funny! we thought one of the cats was peeing in the house. found another of the little puddles today outside Elina's door. Gage's bike was over it.
she moved gage's little bike and cleaned it up...
and.... we just noticed a little puddle under gage's bike where she put it!! it's the bike peeing in the house!!!
hi m hope you apologized to the cat lol
hi everyone too
well... we NEVER accused the cat! Innocent until proven guilty and all that. We have 3 pets so it would be wrong to assume....
hi all, i have 33 minutes to play, weee!
hi, i've just beaten my sister in law in our annual freecell rally
what's a freecell rally?
we each play the same ten games on our laptops and whoever gets to 10 first wins.
much prefer babble
freecell is that solitaire card game, is it?
that's right
easier to play it with a real deck of cards. IMO. and more fun, too 8-)
but whatever
that's right, I've played it. Fun
i prefer word games to card games really
wow, i just monkeyed the lone N. whay is that word in my head?
i like boggle, poker, and rummycub. hmmmmm
any clue for that? its defeated me so far.
help with the non-gas et please....
ng + Scottish a *** lad

oa 5/10
ty
you got it book
you can have 5000 points from me
ty sue X-D
i was sure that octate was a word as well
me too guern
perception is not a word game. in fact is falls into none of the standard categories and has no real strategy. however, it is one of only three games (of many many that we tried) that I could beat my housemate at.
help Can't get that ay 4! frustrating me!
an indian servant, jeff
what are the stats
i found a game called perception on wiki but it's a different game ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Early_Edu -Ware_products#Perception )
ty
hi all.
only combo i didn't try!
ay + what you say when you get into a warm bath at the end of the day
is it a game you can buy or play online, or what?
jeff ~ look up not down
hi Minski
perceptions was a board game. 1960s or 70s maybe. found a set at a garage sale once. box, rules, and some of the pieces. we made our own pieces and played it.
interesting grid. got 30 real quickly. Have now eeked to a complete stop.
i shall not rest until i find it!
i was the same Minski. still have 32 to go
I thought tonate was a word.
i'll try to explain it briefly. 2 players. you each have three tokens on the board and three matching tokens in your hand. you secretly pick one of the tokens and keep it in your hand and hide the other two. oopponent has to guess which token you are holding. if they lose, you get to move your token up one square. take turns as above until one player gets all their tokens to the end of the board. each token has to move four places to get to the end
so as you can see, no luck, no strategy, but something else i suppose, psychology and bluffing.
easy game to make your own pieces, too
(or maybe it was only three spaces to get to the end. have to check)
ty. i shall make my own set and try it on my family. it sounds interesting, and as you say, unusual.
going to look at the playing board for ya . . .
Hi everyone.
Okay, "perception, a mental adventure in psychological strategy" made by Ideal, no date
and there are three squares in front of each token, not four. but i guess you could make it four if you want to lengthen the game
judging by the aged masking tape on the box it is at least 35-40 years old
okay, i have 4 more minutes to play, shutting up now
i guess it might be a good way to teach probability to children.
thanks for the info, bookdoc
In addition to being a worldview, a psychological malfunction, a subjective experience, and a generally ill-defined term, Perception is the name of a simple yet addictive board game put out by Ideal Games in 1971. Unfortunately, the game is out of print.
found that on the bottom of hte page at this site
oops
"http://everything2.com/title/percept ion"
good work Minski
on htat note must go clean laundry room and finish laundry. will bbl8r
and thus i can date old masking tape, hooray! LOL
ack, gotta run (no points for gotta) POINK

Monkeys born in Brooklyn.
Gotta run. 3 left.
There are only so many ways you can get to 11 points from that ng combo
that is also true wht. but google worked a charm.
wi5--tolkien river
first part of the river name
or "together-ish"
Hello everybody. soodlebum back from holidays and reporting for duty......
how was it soodle??? was it awesome?
As the teens would say....O. M.G.!
tell us more!
4X4 trials, helicopter rides, wine tasting (a Soodle speciality), 5 star luxury....need I continue?
you dont have to, but you can if you want to.
A genuine 17h century 'Country House', with all its original features..., married with state of the art 21st century luxury, all done in the best possible taste. It was FAB!!
great that you had a good time, how cool that she won!
I am hating on this grid...
I don't work for the Irish Tourist Board, but, seriously, if any of you Americans wanted to come here and experience the 'Real Ireland'.... this is the place to come. I am going to stop crowing now, and dive into the grid....
Having murdered the chog..........
Careful Soodle, this grid could ruin your mellow, just back from vacation feeling.
Nay there soodle...Ireland is on my 'to do' list!! Have filed your notes in my brain, ty!!
Nope, Wht, nothing could cause the feel-good feeling to evaporate!, and Jillyjill, Come on over... Its a blooming marvelous place to visit.
(Note to Soodle - contact the Irish Tourist Board re commission)
And soodle, with irish background and all the celtic festivals I go to, I can do a few reels and I have a 'party piece' or two to share!!
I do want to go to Ireland, some day. I can not do any reels or anything thugh as my family seems to be mostly scots. my cousins all play bagpipes which is a bit off...they also all own kilts.
soodle must be rofl with my comments and yours red!!
i imagine so, Americans are really into being celtic!
Oooh Jilly - you are a Celt, and that is sufficient! Jillyjill - I can guarantee that you would have a FANTASTIC holiday here. I am sooooo jealous of the Babble gettogethers in the US, I am actively campaigning for an Irish one. So.... sychronise your holidays, you Americans and Canadians, and lets go..............
Thinking about that sure beats looking at this darn grid!!
Jilly, can I help? I fireworked a little while ago...
Well, have a dental appointment, so will sign off for now...bbl...soodle, again, thanks for Ireland tour and offer for help, maybe you'll be on l8r!!
morning all :)
Red - Scots/Irish..... You would be as welcome as the flowers in spring here!!
Hello Mr P.
I think I better vammoose to my own bed and try to re acclimatise to living as a peasant. Good night all. I hope to see you all again soon.
Good evening Babblers .... can anyone clue the wi5/28 please
evening everyone, hello Norma
Hi Katie how are you ???
not too bad just done some ironing so in shock! Can't wait for the holiday
How many hours ???

Have a lovely time and have a drink for me lol
wi 5/28 w + give someone a G*** + a letter meaning a question
Bry is going to visit Bry's train set when we get back and before you go!
He is trying to talk me into making it BIGGER I will be out in the garden with my puter soon lol.... it will be lovely to see you both if you can make it
Thank you for the clue by the way I would never have got that one
stand firm Norma, there is no way Bry's is getting out of that room - honestly we would have a tunnel through to the bedroom if he thought he would get away with it
Considering Brians is a fraction of the size of Bry's he is trying to get it as big as Bry's ... I am just refusing to move my puter lol
I don't blame you.
I was informed tonight that it would be a joy to be put in charge of acquisitions that were required as he could do some of his own at the same time
I thought he might enjoy that your mom said she was going to pull him into service lol ... at least Bry has got some idea what to get him
Just an excuse to buy some for himself.
FIREWORKS ......
congrats Norma
Time for bed... we have got the window people coming in the morning to fit all our new windows
hope it goes OK, see you soon x
See you soon xxx

Took me 5 months of hard work, long distance study, on top of my regular 40-hour-a-week job, and a 4 year-old....
But, it was worth it.
makes it all worth while when you achieve such great results - you should be very proud
you are awesome, AUSSIE!!! AWESSIE!!
I am proud :)
lol.... Thanks Dawg :)
night night, kje!
aussie aussie aussie - oy, oy ,oy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Has anyone seen Jellen lately ?
(((group hug)))
**pancaked in middle of hug**
I think she was around last night
How is she coping ?
i haven't been on much today, but she's been good about dropping in and saying hi, as well as working on the grid
she seems ok
Bless her.
but it musst be really tough for her
I think so...
i can't imagine how she's feeling or how she's coping. I know her friends and family have been coming to be with her this week
I have been so amazed at the generosity and support of the Babble Community
It's part of who we are.
and she knows we love her and support her here.
hone
yes Aussie, I'm beginning to understand that - havent been part of it for very long, and it just blows me away
Ack ! see what I just did ! Darn it

I don't know what a tim tam is but I'm hungry for one! LOL
There's always pb in the PB
I want one slathered in peanutbutter.
I want one slathered in hot fudge and whipped cream with a cherry on top!
I'll just have a Tim-Tam Slam please !
and now to the grid. I left earlier when I had 36 words and came to a screetching halt.
Fireworks, and my last word was a fish.

All this talk of chocolate has made me hungry and it's breakfast time here so I think I'll go and make toast, maybe not as excoiitng as choc fudge with sprinkles
Noooooooooooo, on the whipped cream :)
lbd I think it was a swedish fish....

Just looking at the Georgia Mud Fudge Blizzard...... Looks delish !
it is yummy, and doesn't need the whipped cream!
but a cherry would have been nice
Yowzers ! 1 x 390g serving has 1,010 calories !
ok my mind is back from my chocolate fog....back to the grid 22 left
no calories in the grid

My hubby and I were hooked on McDonalds mocha frappe's until I looked up the calories....now I make my own at home with splenda etc....
Of course he is slim and I am well...lets say "fluffy"

Hello Good Enough
Few English words in the grid MPittore
wht, then it's an international grid...LOL...that's ok with me...

International might be kind. I think they were dusting out the dust from the bottom the Enable's word barrel.

well done, minski!
I just love jillibus' description of who created enable...she is quite a whitty person and brillant also!
who knew the ta6 was a word? I didn't.
apparently it's a kind of fish
It is a fish. Doesn't go with hot fudge and whipped cream.
In the case of Babble, it is a fish that isn't a fish.
lol
i agree, MP, Jilli is brilliant and she's so spot on with her description of Enable!
Evening babblers!!
i always thought the ta.45 meant stretched tight!
Hi Jilly! warm enough for you?

We're still mostly sunny and no rain here
We have gotten so little rain this season that we gave up on our lawn and garden. We are away almost every weekend and don't have inground sprinklers so everything's dead.
It hasn't been too bad here for one summer.

Hi
pini -- while you are here, what do you say to having the fondant AFTER the restaurant?
He is putting bike in back of truck. So he'll be home almost within 15 minutes.
Mother was thinking that by then the Market will have closed and we can use their picnic tables
Greetings from Ft. Smith, Arkansas ..

oh! hey George, didn't see you!
oy, thx stid! is this sufficient? I'll be there on Friday!

yes, but you'll need to sit on the (clean) laundry because I spent today at the museum rather than cleaning...
yeah! I'll probably be standing for a bit anyway after the drive!!!
she's coming to see you not your clean house or your laundry, stiddy!
hihi

then I'll feel right at home, stid! * grin *

*bounce bounce bounce* good. is Koda coming?
ah thanks. nbt with 12 left. may be able to stumble across the finish line listless...
(un)fortunately, koda is going to stay with his cousins... ;)
go LA!
alrighty, this is getting ridiculous. I've got this cat that needs a home. I've gotten inquiries about him from Chicago, Minnesota, Virginia, South Carolina, and Florida.
git'r dun, LA!
Why the CRAP does nobody in Washington or Idaho want this cat?!?
no play date for Lucky, L-(
wow jes, what are you going to do?
sorry Lucky!!! :(
I would, but allergies...
well, that's okay. He'll have to meet Koda another time.
not a cat fan, jes.
for sure, stid!
i'm going to keep telling people that i will not ship him cargo, if they want him they are quite welcome to come meet him and take him home as carry on. and keep getting turned down because nobody's gonna fly out here to do that. and keep hoping that someone within a reasonable travelling distance gets interested
and i'll probably keep kvetching to my online pals about it ;)
I don't mind cats, usually can just take extra antihistamines, but Mother swells up like a sausage.
good on you to not ship cargo jes.
I actually am allergic only to some cats. Others don't bother me at all.
Like a sausage? Not true. More like a sausage with red bumps here and there.
just recently several puppies died after being shipped cargo to ohare
yeah, i saw that
he does have a great smile, jes
hadn't heard about that LA.
i think they were from a questionable breeder, but still
grrr, what? I hate the thought of that happening to any animal!
and he's a flat faced cat, so heat is going to be harder on him than a normal headed critter.. but on top of that, i'm not shipping him across the country just to have someone who's never met him decide they don't want him, and then how do i get him back?
I'd jump in jes, but have two young males, and not sure how she'd do with them or vice versa
wish someone who lives close could take care of your kitty, jes. Hard on critters to travel even with people they already know.
shipping is bloody expensive!
he's getting along grand with the cats and dogs at his foster home, jilly
i'm really surprised that any air cargo would take on a live animal. it's way too hot in there for any critter!
http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/loc al/ct-met-dead-puppies-0818-20100817,0 ,4160893.story
oh, i can't read that, it would make me so mad and i'd cry myself to sleep.
there are pretty specific rules for it, dawg, but always a risk
can't ship any animal above 85F. no flat-faced dogs above 75F. need a veterinary health certificate to get on (which unfortunately just means they have no signs of contagious disease, not that they have no health problems), and need a veterinary sign-off to ship below 40F.
i would think that if a person wants a certain pet so badly, they would come out and get it in person. sight unseen just doesn't feel right
yeah, shoo flies with her dog in the cabin. pays a good price for her to be carry on luggage! and has to have the certification with her.
you'd think so, and i'd think so... but there are a ton of people who buy puppies from breeders over the internet and have them shipped out. never see the kennel, meet the pups, or the parents, or the breeders in person. just pick from a photo.
I have handpicked all the pets we've owned....it's easy to do at the shelter!!
help me someone. i give up on the ap6
i am always confused by people who want this breed, in that color, and insist it be this gender, but don't seem to think that personality might be a good thing to select.
*shaking head, with heavy heart* poor critters. and i bet most of them end up in the local shelters after their "newness" wears off.
et6?
ap + vowel + *** mr. wizard...
good on you jilly
i dunno. at least one of the breeders around here is charging enough for her little mongrels that i can't imagine many people just give them away
only a few left: need both co's
epan, ap + vowel + *** whiz...
et + consonant + charged particle
the other et6 is a gas
oh gee, I keep getting distracted. I'd best head out. ((hugs and choclits for all))
* sparklers *

That was a great article. Funny and so true stidmama
Hello.
stid! are we going to plan for showers on Saturday?
Hi herinfernallady! How are you? Welcome to the grid
Thank you for your welcom.
hey mcurl!
glad you liked the article Min
I don't usually ask but can you all spare a thought or a pray for my friends little 6 month old that is back in hospital because her skin graft didn't take
well... the market has some covered areas, and we can retreat to the restaurant early if necessary. Reservation at 2:30.
oh gee lady, of course.
I bought a floppy hat that WON'T melt if it rains... LOL
Thanks.Poor little kid. She pulled a mug of boiling water down her front. The graft didn't take
Sounds good, umbrella though just in case!
The hat I really liked was 30% paper. When I asked the salesperson if it might melt in the rain she sniffed and told me that since it was a SUN hat (as if I couldn't tell) I clearly should not wear it if it rained.
I don't carry umbrellas, but of course will have a rain jacket just in case.
oh man. that's horrible.
poor child. the parents must be just frantic.
Hi, herin...prayer on its way...
Yes they are.
Thanks Jellen and you know we are thinking of you too
I will keep them in my heart, too.
mcurl... do you know if your friend is coming?
Thanks guys. We are zipping out for a bit back later
