why is picasa not giving me the usual options?!?!?!?
hi m9!
where you going george
hey geo
eh, m9? what options?
where to this time?
I have Picasa, it can be a right pain!
hey, Pini!
Picasa updated recently, I think.
Tel Aviv Israel then Ibiza again, lol!
QU 6/8
just to work this time though, no more holiday for me!
qu7

night jmc!
nbt
SE6
fe6, probably been called though!?
CE 6 X 2
ch5 and ch6 (both x 2)
I agree about Picasa, George!
I rather like Picasa...
I think I don't understand it, pini
It's missing some rather obvious options, like a full-screen, randomized slideshow.
yeah, well I like it sort of
it doesn't let .gifs move
email me if you need help, jilli ;)
think Flckr's probably better, but I already have albums on Picasa, so haven't put much on Flickr yet really
you have Picasa, Pini?
I don't bother with it much at all, pini
won't it, Jill? that's odd!
ye, geo
Picasa is way better for editing though
are you on yim, Pini?
( I use it offline to organize my pics, geo...nothing posted online thru it)
editing how, m9?
nbt!
that's what I use it for, too, m9
wtg m9 (nobody noticed mine!)
fill light, increasing shadows..etc
WTG Jilli! you rock!@
can be, geo...gimme a few (to take Koda out for this last "visit" for the night)
Jilli is SO awesome!!!!!
what editing do you mean, what can you do? oh yeah? I can do that before uploading though
yeah, all right PIni!
I'll sign in there then
ok ;) ~ brb
well I don't have photoshop. I use picasa before uploading to fb!
hahaha, m9!
but I keep saying i'm gonna try gimp.. just haven't gotten around to it.
added a bit to my bio, Jilli -- in the raw food section, raw chocolate, yum!! posted an update yesterday evening on twitter and yahoo when I made it
I'm always messing about in my kitchen, almost don't know why I have any other rooms, lol!
what are we talking about picasa or picasso?lol
raw chocolate?
yeah, the link's in there, instructions I followed
Picasa, photosharing site on Google!
George do you have a cot in your kitchen?
ohh thanks George
ha, no, I drag myself up the apples & pears to bed!
and get on the roof?ll
lol
and is your computer in the kitchen, George?
no, my bed is not on the roof -- it's in a bedroom, imagine that!?
it's anywhere I want to put it, Jill, laptop!!
its in the wrong place george lol
you need a couch with a bed in it put in your kitchen
and travels with me, not that I'll get time for this ove the weekend!!
or make the table lower or the counters
uh oh.. rocky eagle base is under attack!!
na, then I wouldn't be able to move around to do anything in there!
of course, silly me.
rocky eagle base?
where is thtat m9?
not as silly as me, I'll bet! let's not start any contests though, eh?
that oops
Gage.....
ok ;)
fireworks
Gage?
YAY grem!!!
hello everyone :)
really grem?lol
ha! I'm in the grid, lol!!
and a plural of me as well, ooh!
hi nan!
bowing down to grem!
halo, cybernan!
Gage is playing make believe
hi nan
grem finished? -- in 19 minutes? wow!
late flip and hello all
par for grem
yeah, must be so much smarter than any of us!?
rare genius -- him and dart!
grem has whole systems for what words are related to what other words...
hi nonnie
stats for the FIRST COLUMN C please
don't forget chug
ce6/21
i have one that is ce 5/12
oh yeah, course
mlf.. end of smelly burning sticks
I have that as well, m9
and the past tense of it
that follows
qu done which took care of two of the 8s!
m9: if I wasn't really lazy, I might at some point write a training program that gives you hints on what words are related to others
now that would be interesting reading!
cl 4,5,4,5 from left C 5s are plurals
Or maybe it could quiz you like: "Which words appear 90% of the time when **** appears in a grid?"
late flip
the ce6/21 I have is not the burning stick and I don't see it (diff penultimate cons)
hi, peeps :)
pb seain!
halo, flosey!
i have that word but it didnt put it in as being there i guess?
hi flosey
7/8 done, so thought i'd chat a bit now
hi dc
hello dc and flosey
hi, Seain m8!
oh that could be fun grem!
evening, jilli, flosey, George, mlf, nonnie, et al
ooh, Seain? raw chocolate, in bio!
hi everyone, got busy and wasn't watching the time
aha! now I know that's not a diminutive for moi!
Basically I'd write a Boggle program and run it many thousands of times and tabulate the correlations of words.
hope I put the right link there, instructions I followed, I'll double check, ha! was dozey and tired when I added it, lol!
i read when it came up earlier. i don't see why go to bother to make what can be bought, in that case, seems rather more bother than its worth, at least from my POV
dc do you watch football?
meaning US Football, if so, no
shouldn't be up now but wanna do this while I can, leaving again today, for Israel, the Gay Pride in Tel Aviv on Friday -- then to Ibiza again, at Space!
yeah US football
just curious dc
oh, enjoy, George, sounds like great fun
that CE word came from the 2ND COLUMN first C
well if you want it raw and want to know what's in it, it's not that difficult really!
have fun George!
I like messing about with food though!
cl4,5 5,6 from left C
musical staff
it's the cl's that come from le4!
yes, i can see doing it just to've done it, and having a bit of fun. hmm...
oh yes, mlf, sorry
sorry!
yeah, those were two of the first words I saw!
wonder why? ha!
okay I got them! i should have seen those oh welll thanks though:)
I have all the gadgets, Seain -- they make it quick and easy, so might as well use 'em I reckon!
and they're quite easy to clean up after
I was just thinking about clean-up. So many of those TV chefs use so many pots etc.
most gadgets are easier to clean up after, though a few are bigger pia :)
yeah, I can make some good messes sometimes too! good job I have a nice large sink!!
okay i have my usual 66 i am out poof
I like my double sink much better since I put in high faucet!
jill?
qu6 is something i've not done to my thirst yet today
bye mlf
g'night mlf
yeah, that really does help!
ty dc
see ya poof
ta, Seain -- hadn't seen that yet and gave me 3!
night mlf
there's a couple of good food words in the grid\
flosey -- I like your iconand sentiment!
yes, i have tons of basil on hand for use in one of those words :)
lol, jilli, thanks
yeah got that one, Seain, just made up some of that the other day!
no sign of lickety?
yeah, the list is in
Lickety's up, flosey
gonna put it on pe 5/12?
dc, I assume you have those qu8s?
It never fails...I get the Hawaiian goose and then I always try to put an s on the end. Does anyone else make this same mistake?
we're in the grid, Seain, ha!
quite so; i've greyed the Q
of course, nonnie!
lol, thanks
i need one more q
back
nu?
boggle bash takes the goos as a plural
so are we old ladies, George
I've greyed it as well
how's that, Jill?
the Qs are in triplets today
oh yeah, ha, ha!!
i've greyed it also
good jilli, I don't feel so silly then.
funny, but that doesn't apply to you!?
ha4 in the same corner, geo
boggle bash, another word game??? :o)
does onyone here play boggle bash on pogo?"
They do the Boggle Bash! It's a grid-yard smash!
yup
that may be a matter of opinion, geo, lol!
ty, jilli, now i got both words :)
I just now heard of it, sammy.
oddly, i had the sh4 already
lol grem :o)
yours perhaps but not mine, Jill!
LOL Grem
and that's really bad, gremlinn!! ugh!
well, thanks, geo ;)
i need one more on the r
How does it compare to this, sammy?
have 100
almost 1/2 way!
go m9 go
you play Euchre, m9?
wd m9!
not as much fun, and amusing.. i never bother with the chat there tho.
i play euchre, mostly with friends from Ohio
1/2 way!
got it with pl of man parts.
I like your profile pic, dc...very handsome!
I don't see any male bits in the grid?? and if anyone, I would notice that too, ha, ha!!
they're there geo!
why ty, nonnie :)
Hey, don't talk about man parts in here. There may be kids playing!
ha, I would see 'em if they were!
read my bio, ha!
George beat me to it.
I'm a kid!
yeah, everyone's kids!
the kid IS playing... and he already knows the name of his man part.
I'm a kid at heart.
Latin pl, george
that's why I say 'halo, kids' or 'laters, kids!'
should hope so, m9!
when I figure out what i'm going to be when i grow up.. then maybe i'll stop being a kid
if you mean that pe5/12 yeah, I have that, didn't know that's what it meant though?
yup!
my two year old great grandson knows the name of his male part and feels quite superior to me bercause i do not have one.............. now wher the hell does that come from??????
I figured that out in my teens and got laughed at by everyone, oh well!
like thesis, theses... etc..
oh, my, sammys. i do hope he grows out of that
blimey, he's learning young, sammysmom! lol!
must be a male influence there, ha!
Yeah, a few years ago my (at the time) 3-year-old nephew revealed his secret knowledge of the part.
ha, ha, funny!
i always wonder why it won't take shas, there's been more than one sha through the centuries
Oh, good news...camo boy has started walking!!!
yeah I know, Seain, tried it myself!
any gh words?
who's that, Pini?
he speakes in complete sentences and can spell several words. sort of like a 4 year old midget...... kindf of nicde, but also a little scarey
one gh5
that's a big deal pini~!
(won't be too long, I'm sure, before he figures out his man-parts!)
oh, cool that he's walking
I haven't seen him in person, but have seen video! Gotta luv technology!
I had mine all figured out, even though many wondered what gender I was for a while, Pini, ha!
s'mom, he'll grow up to be a grem or chug!
* giggle *
what's to figure out to begin with?
ha, well nothing really!
hi ruru
well, for some, how not to be selfish with it.
hi ru ;)
ooh, yeah!
hello ruru
i hope i live to see it jil
evening, ruru
i suppose the sh6/30 could have been the male parts word too.
just over halfway -- 107 found, 100 left
hi everyone
well done, geo ;)

109/98

* giggle *
Good night all...take care.

night night! * poof *
ah! now dec 20-21 will be interesting!
hey babblers
hi gort!
can anyone please clue me for any en that isn't an alpha or omega?
hi gort
hiya jilli, m9, how's your lives?
just fine, thx gort
all my en's start with omega.
well that
's a start at least, thanks m9
glad to hear it jili, happen to know any cures for insomnia that aren't addictive drugs or matchsticks?
solitaire?
really boring books
getting in bed with lights off is a good start.
banana and milk
what does that mean... matchsticks?
HI
you quitting smoking??
hi herin!
matchsticks to prop eyes open, which now that i think about it is more a cure for narcolepsy than insomnia, but i'm that sleep deprived, i don't know which way is up!
LOL!!!
start reading Leo Tolstoy's 'War and Peace'!
would put me to sleep in a hurry, ha!
that's what i say, geo.. first thing to do for insomnia is get in bed! and then try reading a boring book
have you seen a doctor about this? might be a sleep clinic that could help you -- and yeah, bed might help?
yep, tried all that, read the phone book - forwards, backwards, upside down forwards, upside down backwards
studies have shown that lights mess with sleep patterns.. so turning down lighting helps
god, can't get more boring than that!
have done addictive drugs, non-addictive drugs, herbal stuff, breathing exercise, physical exercise
and one night i went completely bonkers and tried lying horizontally in bed
well yeah, I'm usually horizontal whey I'm lying down
prayer???
when, not whey!
uh... I lie horizontally in bed too...
too bloody early in the morning for me!
Yawwwwwn
Me too!
yeah, I don't sleep well lying vertically, ha!
good idea herin! YAAaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwnnnnnn
You tried reading a Corporation Law book that will send you ni ni
yes, tried plenty of prayer, but i get my knickers in a knot at 3 am trying to articulate myself to God and just let flip the brain open and let God make of the scrambled contents what he will
(is that making you sleepy Gort?)
diagonally?
Meditation is the key. Plain boring bedroom no stimulations like tv and bright colours and comfy beding
what's got your brain spinning around?? anxiety?
one Sunday morning I was sitting up in bed with my laptop tweeting and that, when a friend of mine on twitter messaged me to give me this link to this other person's page -- who tweeted that they had just seen me pass them on the motorway in a car! lol! that was funny, had to pinch myself -- then another m8 commented, saying 'not driving in your sleep again are you?'
cos I said 'not me, I'm in my bed!'
not particularly worried, but can't stop mind racing. Sometimes it feels like David helfgott living in my noggin!
Gort did you read my suggestions?
must be awful really, gortmold, you must be bloody knackered all the time!?
yes, thanks herin, bedroom is suitably dull and dim
zigackly, george
It has to be comfy too. Not to warm etc
I really really really don't want my half sister to go to Afghanistan
do you ever get any sleep at all, gort?
contemplating grasping electric fence, barefoot in wet grass, just to see if i can rescramble the neurons
get about 3 hours some nights, george
You could listen to all the election waffle Gort, could gone on for another week and boring enough to put you to sleep
maybe start writing down what the things your brain is thinking about. Maybe that will give your brain permission to quit running them around if it knows you've put the thoughts down solid.
Hello everyone
and that's about the most, gort?
Hi lynx
good point, lyn, it really is as thrilling as watching gravel grow
actually m9, think you might be onto something there
I would pass on the electric fence idea, gort, or you might be sleeping all right -- permanently!!
Gort I use meditation a lot that and a salt bath to relax (epson salt stuff)
Sleeping with the fishes, ya know.
opps epsom
yeah
I bought epsom salts today.
salt bath...electrical current...fishies...how to combine...
May I please have a clue for ac7-44? Thanks
ac + ***** for the holy grail
bad idea, gort, bad idea!!
salt bath yeah, leave out the electrics!!
lol george
ta for that clue, gremlinn!
GORT no bad
done with 8's
well thanks all for your suggestions, think top of the list is m9's cathartic "trap the throught by writing it down" idea followed by reading war&peace in a dull, dim salt bath while fighting off the fishies that apparently want to sleep with me!
George - have you seen your posts in the backposts (don't know what you call it). I liiked for an early posting, and your name is posted as GDUD3/3D3GDU - well the U is some sort of symbol --
yeah, Chrstine, want to know why?
i have ac8, qu8,qu8.. what am i missing?
I couldn't get just my first name on here as I wanted, with just regular characters
Secret codes?
Thanks, gremlinn.
so I used the look alike letter characters from Arial font in the Windows Character Map, so I could have it, works everywhere but in the bio page heading!
ce8
tx m9.. let me try.. may need help
I had something weird on my last laptop - Java or something, that would sometimes do daft things in my emails.
had someone already used George?
phantom squelch(ed,es)
you left this country the year I was born, Christine
yeah
I thought it looked like something you get when you teach kids about codes.
dunno?
That;'s why youre Mum didn't come to the airport to say goodbye.
LOL christine!
she came to US before I was born
oh yeah, that's it! she was a little busy, lol!
I guess she just likes me better.
I've been here almost 50 years.
26 left....thank for all the clues .....back later ,...nite all.
eh? sorry, thought you meant my mum? I'm all confused now, not that it takes much, ha!
yeah and I'm 49 until next June
she did mean your mum
I planned to stay only one year; I had a job waiting in Australia, but I fell in love with California. Hope they hired someone else to do my job.
sorry christine.. they had to go out of business.
ohhh.. June is gonna be a big one for George!
My daughter used to say - what id he;s waitig for you to open the office - he can't go to lunch or to the restroom.
ohhh.. June is gonna be a big one for George!
My daughter used to say - what id he;s waitig for you to open the office - he can't go to lunch or to the restroom.
oh yeah?
oh yeah?
yeah!
that was a really long midnight blip!
didn't mean to post it twice, that blip caused that!
the 8 am blip you mean!
whatever ;)
midnight blip sounds SO much better! it's babble turning into a pumpkin.
i'm time zone centric.
it is teh 2am babble blip
it is so OBVIOUSLY a midnight blip!!!
change over to the new day and all....
yeah yeah, sure, that's why it happens at 8 am, where it's always the right time, ha!
fireworks - with Lickety's help
Congrats Flosey!!
wtg flosey!!!!
Bless you Lickety, many thanks
yah FLosey
ooh, wtg flo!!
now you can clue us!

sure, what do you need, George
I have 90 left, could be a long time, ha!
so I'll struggle a while yet
ed4 is an odd one
oh yeah, don't have that
e + 3 cons
do now though!
just found it, seen it before
ty flosey -- had missed that one
yw jilli
and congrats!
yeah ta for that clue, flosey!
yw George
thanks Jilli
sori
..and sorry about that
hi anike
and thanks, lol!
hi anike!
ty!
Hi - been in and out a bit today - supposed to be working
m9, I just sent you an invite on msn. I think pini did too before she left.
oh, not msn -- yahoo pulse!
I'm half asleep.
I'm never on msn! But I'll look
So maybe you need to check your yahoo mail.
not msn -- yahoo pulse!
I'm off to bed, goodnight all
back tomorrow at, or around! flip
Night flosey -- I'll be off soon too -- still 63 left though.
Have a good day!
good luck, jilli, thanks, pre-op check with Dr.McG, then lunch at the Bistro at Cherry Point Winery, then (hopefully) down to Victoria
how did you send an msn if I'm not on there??
I just signed up there though'
i used to do yahoo messenger..
i don't even know where to find it now
Just check your yahoo mail, m9 -- I think it will guide you.
I'm setting it up. haven't had it in years since it used to drive tim crazy on his laptop..and that's all we had for a long time
hey wow.. I had 4 pending invites
oh crud! I totally forgot about laundry...
M9 thanks I just remembered that mysefl
I guess I just usally chat in fb
I don't chat in fb but do look at the news there and play Lexulous.
ok.. I have messenger now
but you're not on it?
at the moment?
NOT messenger -- just yahoo pulse. I'm confused. Yahoo pulse has profiles, updates, guestbooks, contacts.
I haven't been on yahoo messenger.
i didn't see anything called pulse?? I looked all over my yahoo...
It's just the regular Yahoo page.
Yay!! Finished but no fireworks today.
I'm wrong - the fireworks were just slow on the uptake
why no fireworks, anike? Congrats anyway!
Oh
Well I should get back to work, I suppose. I only have another 1 or 2 grids I can tackle before heading east for a couple of weeks.
and I should get to bed!
A manageable 58 left for tomorrow, and goodnight all!
53 left here. Good night Jilli!
gd morning everybody! It's a beautiful day in the Haute Savoie.

I have 50 left. really should get some sleep.. but I haven't even started that laundry that I realized I hadn't started!
those tiny ones are not much fun for me
And Tim will need it in about 3 hours when he wakes up!
Morning/evening all Haz is Spangle back to normal today?
hey FM
Hello FM, haven't seen you in ages!
hi FM, that's a very nervous cat
Hi m9 and ruby!
Yes, she's fine, she's had her morning quota of treats and has settled down to guard duty. She was so confused yesterday when the routine wasn't as normal.
is the weather good in the UK? So I'll know what to look forward to.....
*grin* I know lynxxx, a babbler had it as an icon ages ago and I copied it into my pics.
That cat looks as though it has taken to heart the advice 'If you want to wake up with a smile on your face, sleep with a hanger in your mouth.'
awful weather here ruby, torrential rain for 48 hours but dry at the mo and a tease for sunshine tomorrow.
that means rain in 2 days here
Glad Spangle is back to normal, I guess there will be much arranging of paws seeing as she missed a day :)
Yes, and extra vigilance against all felines.
Talking of arranging of paws = thinks of Hobbit = Where is Ata?
I think she does not love us any more.
I must ask what happened with Spangle
mmm feeling very neglected by her :(
I think she has found more interesting friends. Ones who know about Star Trek and who can recite Tolkien.
Tsk Haz, not Star Trek - Dr Who (for heavens sake)!
Spangle had a bit of dental work done, lynxxx and her ears syringed. It meant having an anaesthetic and she was really groggy when she came home.
Oh, Star Trek, Star Wars, Dr Who are all one big mass of the unknown for me.
*GASP*
Hopefully you have a tame vet - bit of dental work here means $600-$1,000!
and I thought we were converting you slowly/subtly.
A tame vet and a staff who'll do anything for some biscuits for their tea break.
Lovely - well for you anyway. Very confusing for Spangle
lynxxx, don't forget that MrHaz is a vet
no I didn't, lol
although he prefers bovines aparently.
He didn't do the deed himself, just delivered her to the surgery and let them loose on her.
Greyhounds all seem to all have rotten teeth, much build up tartar (even with bones) - have to increase the daily teeth brushing of Stew to avoid the dreaded vet bill
BRB
seems to be the one strong thing about the chows, all 5 of them, they eat hard biscuits at night and have lovely white teeth, even when Rufus was 10!
Apparently Spangle still had 3 baby teeth at the back and they were taken out because they were acting as a magnet for the tartar.
when do dogs lose their baby teeth?
I've never noticed that.... :(
about 6 months isn't it?
does the tooth fairy visit?
When they're puppies - those little sharp things that ter you to shreds. They normally disappear. I had one lady who phoned me in distress because her puppy had lost a tooth, there was blood on its gum and would it be okay? Normally you don't even know that they've gone.
I imagine they eat them, they are usually chewing everything in sight at that stage
*tear
I was just thinking I must be a bad dog mother
Yes, I think they just swallow them.
helllooooo :)
If tooth fairies start to visit your puppy, next step is the Home for the Bewildered.
and did she ring at 10pm Sunday night Haz?
SHE'S ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello Miss Ata!
Happy to see Ms Ata!!!!!
It was a Saturday evening, I think. It took a bit of persuasion that she didn't need to get a blood transfusion.
how's Spanglettina?
She is much better than yesterday. She's entirely back to normal, not swaying anymore, not looking confused.
yay!
Diary of the Wife an Irish Country Vet - I can see a book in it already
a friend's dog is having an op today to laser off her eyelashes
Ata!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
does the dog have entropion?
How's Hobbitellinarinadingalingatinkerbella?
ermmm she has inverted eyelashes if that's the same thing!
I could see a book, but husband is terrified of people recognising themselves!
wow. Sounds weird but bet it saves a lot of eye ulcers
hobbitella's fine, being the scourge of the local rabbits
LOL Haz surely you could have got a few more names in there?
I thought I was doing pretty well. Sometime, I'll incorporate all the Geldof girls.
Yes, entropion=inverted eyelashes, and it's very painful.
I went past Sir Bob's house earlier
And was he scowling?
chows have a big problem with that which gives them runny eyes, but the vets here lack experience with the breed and the surgery can give them droopy eyes
is he ever not?
he doesn't live in Ireland!?
HArd to tell under all that stubble I would imagine.
I think I'd be in a permanent bad mood as well if I had daughters with those names. Every day 'What was I thinking?'
nope, he lives a mile or two from me
No, Sir Bob lives in England. If he lived in Ireland people would tell him to lighten up.
rofl
not that I know this, of course, it's impossible to know where local famous people live
yay, painless half!
Impossible - controlled air space and everything and blanks on the map.
absolutely
Totally incognito
no kidding! They really do that? Like a military base
only in Kent
There are blanked out areas on google maps ruby.
now you're putting me on....
Yes, but you have to be a certain standard of celebrity before they award you what's called blank map status.
the only one I knew about was where I grew up, between LaGuardia and Kennedy airports.
not blanked because of my dad, that's for sure
Forget about being A list, what they all aim for is a blank map. Then they, and only they, know that they've arrived.
The rest of the population hasn't a clue.
this village is so obscure that you can practically see the dogs on googleearth
must be g-list then :)
for nbt, anybody have the a?
high cards
Anyhoo, how are you Ata dear?
ac4 - aim for them in cards or tennis
do I get a fish slap for that?
tiiiired. been running about madly. might have to have another mri for knee.
No, but consider yourself under a fish warning.
ac7 ac & is that a *****ion Ruby
ty both
not good Ata
lovely word, lynxx!
Do you have to wait long for the MRI?
Oh dear Ata!
nope, private through D@s insurace
that is rotten about your knee!
Oh good.
Please don't abuse your knee, you will regret it in later life.
listen to FM, she speaks sense
I'm not!!! I was standing completely still, and something popped again
best RX, lie down -- a lot!!!
Bad thing, popping out.
Things have come to a pretty pass when FM is described as talking good sense.
Do you have anything on it now Ata? like some sort of knee brace to hold it all in place?
looooool yes
She who took the blame now speaks pearls of wisdom.
umm excuse me you just said and I quote "been running about madly"
I still wear the brace thing when on the beach, but otherwise it's best not to
I didn't mean *really* running!!
*Ignores Haz's comment
Walking fast? Standing with purpose? We need running to be clarified.
Or running = busy?
rushing, maybe. but certainly at a walking pace!
All these years of taking the blame have taught me some good lessons .. and now when I want to pass on some advise ...
*sigh*
It's just hard to see you in an advisory capacity, FM. You're so much more obvious as being to blame. It'll take a while for us to adjust.
good grid today by the way
poooor fm
love those s's
:)
Do you have good supportive footwear Ata? Says me who just spent (for me) a fortune on decent shoes - and have found that the tendon at the side of my knee no longer pulls and both my knees are now more stable. My right foot apparently rolled
Heavens lynxxx - I think that is the longest post you have ever typed!
Is that pronation, lynxxx? My mother had that and found great relief with special shoes and inserts.
I do have good footwear - not that I can wear it cos I can't tie up shoelaces!!
too technical for me Haz!
Were you never taught, Ata?
never :(
lol
You'd think Grandpa Einstein would have given lessons, but then that's what happens with genius types.
I never learned anything practical
You can get velcro things now instead of laces- you'd probably be able to master them.
maybe ....
Oh I think you could. Children going into primary school have them, it's the way forward in shoe fastening technology.
Make the shoelaces into Celtic knots and Ata will be happy.
The aiglet is going to be a thing of the past, a babblet only.
poor aiglet
I know.
Meanwhile, velcro isn't acceptable in enable. Hooray!
hello Silverclaw
Quelle suprise!
I've just checked 'not found in the dictionary'. The aiglet will have the last laugh after all.
if an aiglet could laugh
You think they're too tight-laced?
looooool
Anyway, to get back to your shoes, are your feet swollen so you can't get the shoes on or can't you reach easily?
just can't reach down easily to that foot
It's very frustrating, isn't it? When my back was giving me trouble, I hated having to be helped into clothes.
luckily I have enough shoes that are either flip-flops or slip-ons!
And I know Hobbit is smart, but even she can't do up your laces.
nooooooo
silverclaw always tries to help though
I thought she would.
Lucky it is Summer. FlipFlops in snow = frostbitten toes
VERY lucky it's summer!
She has that look about her - quiet determination.
What do you think of the new Miss Cameron's names?
love the Endellion bit!
Florence Rose Pendellion Cameron. I think it sounds very feminine.
Have to go, TTFN.
is that your PMs name?
Yes, the Pendellion is pretty.
can be shortened to FloRo !
bye dear!
Yes, David Cameron is the PM and his wife has just had a baby. She came unexpectedly early when they were on holiday in Cornwall, and the Pendellion is in honour of Cornwall.
Bye FM!
Thats lovely - will win votes for sure. It made the news here as it is only the 3rd baby born to a PM in office apparently
Endellion. Where did I get Pendellion from?
your imagination!
I blame the anaesthetic. I'll blame it for every mistake from now on.
If Cherie Blair was one, who was the other no 10 mother?
sarah brown?
ummm like Disraeli or some-one way back then
Was he PM at that stage?
can't remember! must have been fairly near
apparently, unless our ABC mucked up
we believe you!
Third since 1849 - so that puts it further back than Disraeli.
So now to work out who was PM in 1849.
John Russel - 1846 -1852.
hmmm
He must be the other one since it fits the dates.
The name of the first woman to take her seat in the House of Commons is in the grid.
"It didn’t used to be like this at all. Prime Ministers used to get to the top much later in their careers; the last serving PM to father a child was Lord John Russell in 1849."
Yes, if the trend continues we'll have PMs wearing hoodies and skateboarding up Downing Street.
good morning everyone
Hello, crossy.
ok, must (not) run off for a bit! lovely to see you all! xx
Bye, Ata, good to see you. Be good and watch out for the blank maps.
*grins* dangerous, those!!
blank maps are the best!.you get to fill in all the fun spots yourself;)
bye Ata
Worse than black holes.
morning Crossy
howdy lynxx
I should stop looking for en words, I have all the Es
BBL think I'll get some dinner going
Bye, lynxxx.
lol, seems to be the rule.if i can find 50 easily that means there is 150 words,if i find 100,that means there is 250,if i find 150,that means there is 300+ lol
But sometimes there are nasty grids that wreck all preconceived ideas of the norm.
ahh yes, usually small ones where i find 15 words and there are 88
Well, so far, this grid seems to be on the normal side, so your equations should work.
Enjoy the grid, crossy, maybe see you later. I'm off to get the day kicked into shape. Bye!
Good day, Babblers!
hi scrab, how are the rabbits
All so darn cute. I give them a plate of greens every morning + evening. They get so excited, standing up on their hind feet.
How is your daughter's shoulder?
how many do you have? and have you had them since babies?
4 bunnies, 2 since they were babies (rescued from children playing with them in pet stores) and 2 were foster bunnies that I adopted.
They are now 8, 6, 5 and 3.
thanks for asking. Her last operation has held for just over a year now, so we live in hope. She still has pain but we dont have to get up and go to the emergency dept every second nite now. so thank god for small blessings
Any movement? Does she get along well each day?
Are they house trained? and do you have other pets as well?
the shoulder grates around and she is not that active. but she is helping with the dishes and trying . we even went to the pool for a swim (gently on her part) so she is coming along very slowly
She is getting up each morning and goes to bed at a reasonable time so in my mind that is progression
Yep, they are litter box trained--easy to do right from the start. One has the entire downstairs. A gate is at the stairs. Then I have 1 in each bedroom upstairs--gates at their doorways. Bunnies are quite territorial and it is tough to bond them. My sister has bonded brothers and they are so cute together.
Does she have other problems?
I love rabbits, but think that my jack russels love them too
Yikes!
She has depression from all this scrabs. but she has a strong mind so she is not too bad and is improving slowly
Good. Keep her busy.
Luckily , I have a strong mind too LOL
She is good company for me most of the time, but I wish she had more of a life for herself
Good--that helps you and everyone around you.
I am working on it !
We have wild rabbits around here and the dogs hunt them, I think it would be too hard for them to differentiate
Cant imagine how bad it would be if we got a pet rabbit and they killed it
I can't bear the thought.
They are good with the cat and the chooks tho
Chooks = chickens, right?
right
I am glad that lickety is up at last
I learned that when chatting with Atalante's sister last week.
LOL the english know what chooks are and the american seem not to know
I just finished the 3rd book by an Irish author (Tana French) and it is fascinating how varied English is.
You like her books? what does she write about?
C
Members of the Dublin Murder squad. First book was great! (In the Woods). Second book focused on 1 character (The Likeness) and 3rd on another (Faithful Place). Outstanding writing--detailed. Crimesolving from perspectives of the police.
Actually 1 policeman = Undercover Squad.
sounds interesting something I might like I think
have written them down
I loved them + may re-read them. Now I have to wait for her to write another book. And I have to decide what to read next.
I just watched the film The Godfather , again and I remember that book was fabulous
Never read those--dislike Mafia behavior.
well, the mafia behaviour is definitely not good, but the book was great
I like seeing Italy/Sicily in the movies. My mother's parents grew up in Italy + Sicily
I love the look of Italy, I hope you mum didn't endure any mafia behaviour tho. Have you been to Italy?
My mother was born here. I want very much to see Italy + Sicily, esp where my grandparents grew up.
You must go then Scrab. We are going to Europe in the next three years. I am looking forward to it. I think Europe has some beautiful places
The idea of flying that long is frightening to me!
I just read that lovely prayer in your profile, I am going to copy it and give it to Nicky to read
Scrab, I hate flying too, but it is not so bad once you are up in the air. I have been to the States and it is a long flight from Aus that is for sure
I love puzzle books and just concentrate on them when I am flying
I LOVE that prayer + have it posted in my kitchen to read often.
It's beautiful
Alright, it is now light out so I can retrieve my newspaper and bring my trash out for pick-up. Bye Sandy!
bye scrab, good to see you again
Yes, we owned the chat for quite a while!
Hi sandy
hi sal, how are you this very cold evening?
Playing on my iPad for the first time and it works!
It's very wet here but still (just) morning
So you can play babble on an iPad, i didn't realise that
Well really there is a browser on the iPad and that is how I am playing but we have the log burner alight so I am sitting by the fire with my feet up.
Isn't it summer there?
Middle of winter here and hardly any rain at all for the whole winter
Huh!
We have had sunny days and cloudless skies and freezing cold nights
A friend of mine has a rescue greyhound I met for the first time recently. Gorgeous dog and I fell in love immediately with the breed!
Greyhounds are lovely natured dogs. the problem with them as domestic pets is that they are sight hounds. If you take them out off the leash they may chase other animals and kill them. eg a cat or a small dog - they are trained to pursue game and that is their natural instinct
In australia they may be walked in public but must be muzzled
How do you manage yours with the chooks?
we have jack russels and their natural instinct is to kill game. but ours have been trained from puppies and they could be locked up all day with the chooks and wont touch them.
Hounds are different type of dog and the instinct to chase is very strong
Ah, don't know why but I thought you had a greyhound
Especially if the greyhound is a rescue dog and has been raced
no I dont , but I know a little about greyhounds
i would never have a hound here on a property
and that goes for whippets, beagles or foxhounds
yay, my friend sandy!
and sally! yay
Bonjour Ruby
havent read your email yet but will do later
Hi ruby, playing with my feet up by the fire on my new iPad :-)
am so cold here tonight, even with the fire and the electric heater on
have 88 words left
Have 154 to find but only just started
it is beautiful here, hot and sunny. We'll get Sally's rain in two days
I was on for about an hour this AM and got 129 words
this is a nice grid for me. Yesterday's was a bear!
jolly good ruby, this is a good grid
sally: the fish loll about on top of the nets now and are so relaxed that they let husband touch them
sally, did you see that a hawk came in the house on Tuesday and I rescued her?
I think she thought the bird feeder was a feeder for he, and she missed!
for her*
it is a wonder it didn't try to bite you
like the heron and the fishpond
Only been on for about 20 minutes. Yesterday I did completely without any list (proud).
she was in a panic, but I put a cloth on her shoulders and calmed her right down. I didn't think about her biting me, just didn't want her injured
wow sally, that is good , i got down to 18 then had to list
I got more than half hesterday and quit.... :(
well done ruby
Have hardly been in chog ruby so have missed a lot. Went to London for weekend and have been very tired
I thought it was too hard and had so many odd words. Even the half I got was largely from the chog
you party animal sally!
I saved one feather
that Sally, dancing all night!!!!
you saved me?
Lol sandy! Went to visit family and also took opportunity to go to a theatre while I was there. Did not stay with son this time but in central London which was much easier
are you gray and white, featherbee?
hi feather
nope, brown and mousy
must be my twin!
peeked in chat, saw a feather mentioned, had to stop by!
hahah
we were actually talking about you, in very elaborate code!! lol
ha ha
lol
what is odd for me in this grid is that usually I get all the q words first, from playing so much scrabble. But not in this grid!
I save the q s til last
I always do them first but only found 2!
I only have three and it won't take quennel
just did them , they are not hard
aah, 3!
if I can get them they musn't be hard
got them!
yay!
I was trying to get the e's to line up, but they refused
well done, I am having trouble with the ho s have 4 of 10
I seem to have 10 of them- so which do you need?
I have 9 ho's, 6 with the same first three letters
hello kaplan! any jokes today?
who you callin' a ho?
bonjour jean
I was going to say, almost enough for a "house"
Im trying to get them on my own thanks kap
you will.
bonjour ruby
I'm not funny till 8 AM - unless I haven't slept.
lol, just got all of them
it is starting to get very hot here, I'm glad I did my fruit-picking this AM!
I have 65 left. Is there a lickety today?
yes kap there is !!!
I have 67 left
you are quick, sandy, I still have 72 left and won't get many more
I'm going to lie down for a while. See you later, kids!
*poof*
you will if you make use of 'expert' Ruby
Bye ruby
if anyone is still there, i would love a clue for the Left column C....need nbt before I go to work
"need" is a relative term
Hi jbp - I got them but dont know which come from that c - hang on
hi jbp, some children are born with a cl5/18 pallate
lol I have all the c s but what c you need is what i cant figure out

bye car.
neighbors dog is barking, and barking, and barking and barking....disrupting my perfect day.
That is awful
she has two goldens and can't walk both by herself so she hooks one up outside while she walks the other. the one left behind just barks constantly until she returns.
oh yay. mama has returned home. silence reigns!
she should just crate the dog in the house.
Peace!
Buy her a crate
i'm sure they have crates. they just choose not to use them during walk time.
that's the answer
phone
goldens love crates
i am pretending i have the nere to tell her that our resident dog (and wine) expert says she should be a good neighbor and dog owner and use the crate....
*nreve
ooops i give up
Yes, you shoud GE...she knows the dog barks until she returns, not a good neighbor
Is she a friendly neighbor?
tr6./18 anyone?
yes we are are friendly terms but she is strong willed and loudly opinionated. i can't imagine approaching her.

afternoon babblers!
Hello, Eva :-)
how are you, zooz?
Ok, thanks for asking eva...How are you doing?
ok. feeling a bit stressed, but alright. :)
well, i hope Babble will unwind you Eva :-)
which so far, does not seem too bad.
yes, im about halfway through. dont have much time for babbling today, im afraid. much to do, and not enough time!
I too am almost at the half way mark.
zoo, great icon ;0)
hello, Christa :-)......thanks.
Hello Babblers. Babbling at lunch today.
Hello, Wht, not a bad grid so far :-)
Hello wht... what's for lunch? words do feed the mind..
Lunch is a sliced chicken sandwich and carrots. Healthy and not too exciting.
I love peanut butter and nutella
i had turkey + swiss on wheat with a touch of mayo + honey mustard, lettuce, tomato + onion, with a pickle spear on the side. :)
I sometimes prefer a simple meal....although i do love spaghetti bologneise :-)
sounds nice Eva minus the pickle..lol
I'll take your pickle zoom
i used to HATE pickles. dunno when or why, but my tastes changed, and i like them now.
LOL..i have never liked them for some reason.
does anyone have a clue for the sa6/30?
Not listed yet Wht, did not know there was an SA6
There are two. The second is most not dangerous.
wow..it always amazes me how the eyes can miss these words...thanks Wht :-)
sa6 like a bag for an embryo + snooker *** as in stick
Hi zooz! hi everyone, sa7 like the Sea Adventurer, Ja***** Cousteau drop the last letter for the 6
Many thanks Dawg :-)
must go make lunch for hubby. he'll be home shortly. bbl
Take care Dawg.
is there a list somewhere?
ooh found two QU8`s :-)
hello, holly..sorry do not know...Gremlinn normally has one in his profile.
ty, lbd. I kept missing that double letter tile.
Yes, Lickety has a list today.
thank ill look
Thanks wht, for some reason I had a lickety list from last week showing so I refreshed and now I have it!
cool, glad to know there is a list will need it near the end i feel.
Fireworks.
WTG Wht..nice one.
Congratulations wht!
A relatively easy grid today, and having Lickety certainly helped.
Great icon zooz - yours are always great.
Anyone need clues before I go back to work?
Hello, Helen...thanks :-)
thanks Wht, but i should be ok.
OK. Happy Babbling.
Take care Wht, have a great afternoon :-)
ty for sa6/7
hello all
Hello, peri :-)
hi, zooz, how are you doing today?
I am ok thanks Peri...how are you doing?
glad you are ok, zooz. I am fine today. treated myself to a mani/pedi. Now just need to get my hair done some time soon.
funny icon, zooz :)
sounds like you are having a great pamper Peri...you deserve it..when you say hair done...do you mean cut or colored?
both, but I have started coloring my own hair, at least for now. it still looks good and saves me money
I usually do my own nails but it is tedious and feels so nice to have someone else do it
yes they do say the over the counter hair colors are very good.
I will have to have a picture taken with my new hair do :)
i just use nail clippers on my nails..LOL
there was man in the salon this am, I think he ws getting a MAN-i-cure :)
don't make ped-o-file joke, don't make ped-o-file joke

which has nothing to do with anything here :)
AC8 ac + going on an adventure
wow, thanks zooz
i find chewable or Fizzy vitamin tablets nice.
viactiv peri?
they even have gummy vitamins for adults :)
there are even vitamin gumballs now...
no, don't care for them jess. thesre are by Caltrate. they are hard not soft but easy to chew and are flavored, cherry, orange or fruit punch
fruit punch sounds yummy.
would you like to try one, zooz?

it's been really difficult to get online tonight!
hi ruby
hi mom!
I give up with 137
*poof*
whoo hooo, anybody home? lunch time!!
hi GE
Hola, neighbors!
hello!
how's things today?
hi all.... did you all see the moon last night with mars peeping behind it.... it will be there tonight and tomorrow, the only time in the next century , so better take a look... it is amazing!!
Sounds neat, sammysmom. I'll have to look for it tonight - if the clouds move out by then.
oh i'd love to get a look at that!
Geesh. This grid is a head-scratcher. I've scrabbled my way down to 90. Seem to have hit the wall.
i was thinking that it was a good grid. not too tough but i have put some time into it today
and i'm using lickety, of course
Clue for AC7 & 8?
HELLO FRIENDS!!!
Hiya, Stiddy!
oops. *turns off caps lock*
let's see how many I can get in ten minutes... *dives in*
*comes up for air* NBT... how are you Judi?
M'okay, Stid. Had a bout of food poisoning Tuesday and Wednesday. Am better today. Still a bit shakey in the abdominal area. Eating rice pudding and drinking Vitamin Water.
oh yucky, I am sorry. I had food poisoning in January. *gentle hugs*
Hello, Judi & Stidmama :-)
Ty. What doesn't kill us makes us stronger. How are you getting along?
clue for the qu 5/33 please...
Sorry to hear that Judi..i too have had a dodgy stomach..getting better now though.
zoom!!!! ****many many hugs**** I hope you are well today?
I'm definitely off Mexican food for a long time.
not bad thanks Stid, hope you are well?
constant panic attack over tomorrow, Judi. I HATE my master's program, but have an all-day thing tomorrow to "prepare" for student teaching.
do you mean the 6/33 ... what you do with thirst
Zoom - I'm very envious of your animated icon. Wish I could figure out how to do that.
oh my goodness...thanks doseffing!
I'm sure you'll do fine, Stid. Just pretend you are talking to a room full of Babblers!
you can have it Judi..just goto my profile..left click the photo & `save as` :-)
it's not my classmates that bother me... *rolls eyes in a juvenile manner*
ddb4nana there are three words like that :-)
clue please for sh 5/16 ??
lol, Stid, you will be ok.
Oh well, classmates can be a bother. Are you doing a grorup project or is it class prep?
what you wear... trousers and sh***
sorry.. that was sh5/12
Hello, Cosmo
it's hearing all the bureaucratic cr4 about all the hoops we have to jump through as student teachers.
hi zooz
hey cosmo
crap
cr
LOL doseffing!
gotta watch where the cursor is placed ... oops
sh5/16 --> s+h4/7 --> all in the right bottom corner
Sammy..could be seen as a rude word or a nice deep pile rug
What age students will you be teaching?
btw, that word isn't in the grid, I am TRYING (not well) to amend my language choices...
thanks
besides that ... it would be cr 4/5
ah, so you meant crud :)
or 4/6
7th grade language arts. I know what I will teach, pretty much how I want to shape the program, just have to meet the kids and work with them a while before I finalize my plans. I have ten weeks to work with a wonderful master teacher. It's just my faculty are not optimal.
Soldier on, Stid. You'll be great. Don't let the bastards get you down.
well, there I am at halfway in about 15 minutes. I think I should stop here and get ready for Mother, who will be here in 15 more minutes.
the PRINCE is here..... bbl
thanks Judi. I know I CAN do it, but very much NOT optimistic about whether my skills will be recognized by the right people. *grin*
later sammysmom
on the other hand, if I do a really good job then I might be able to get enough references to transfer to a different master's program.
(((hugs all))) I'll be on later tonight probably.
*poof*
Just walk in and act like you own the place.
one masters program isn't enough? hi again everyone!
Hiya, dawg!
hiya Judi!
I wish I had enough patience for college when I was younger. I just hated it.
i enjoyed my college years, but got tired after working on my post grad stuff. Just didn't seem as important.

Afternoon Babblers.... 168 left for me! fell asleep on the grid this am.
I've been doing the Holiday shopping since July Babble! Its nice to feel prepared.
Hello everyone, especially BabbleRabble who I have not seen in a LOOOOOOOONNNNNNNGGGGGG time. I hope everyone is enjoying this grid
Every Christmas I wish I was a druid so I wouldn
wouldn't have to do al the stuff that people expect
Hello, BR,Red & Bugsaw :-)
thats the thing bugs, I just get it done really early and then its ok.
Hey zoozzoom
hello Z.
I try doing that red but most of the stuff I collect goes for birthdays. I have not learned yet
For the first time ever, i have done the christmas present already for this year...loving it..no more worries of what the family children want :-)
well, birthdays are also good to be prepared for.
I will take a lesson from you zooz
THis year I have the kids gifts and my Dad's...btu need to order a few things...
uh oh..buy a few more things ...normally means hundreds of things..lol
Nah, I just know I haven't gotten everything. I'm fairly good at being financially conservative.
Good for you Red!
It was nice to see BR here a few mins ago, not seen him here for ages...if you ever do look back in the chog BR..i hope you are keeping well.
BBL.
well i have finished the grid...off to do other things, bye All.
fireworks for me here too, seeya zooz anyone need clues before I leave?
fireworks for me
hi all
hello boo, and all babble friends!

ty
clue for ce 7 please
hi, all. I have just approved the final proof of my book, and it will be avaialble for order in a few days!
Wheeeee, Angelsong !!!!
good job angel
ce7: **** la vie, that's life + three letter type of song
the quality of the book is excellent, as is the pricing
thanks ms!
congrats angel! how exciting!
not getting it ms
just glanced at the blog ... Angelsong what is your book titled/about? ... and well done.
hi all... last one... can't find it... the ce6 before the ce7?
ce7: ce + plural cons + sounds like another name for a frog, but spelled differently
Walnut... ce6: singular of what the FCC does to nudity and profanity on television
got it! Thanks a bunch msideb01... Can't believe I didn't see that one. c u all...
I put a link for my new book in my Babblw profile, if you want to check it out.
*Babble, I mean
Wow Angelsong! That's fantastic! I just pulled up your book. I might actually learn something from it. Congratulations!!
and hello everyone.
since I seem to have killed the chat with my last comment, I think I'll go fold laundry and pack for our weekend in New Hampshire. TTFN.
minski are you still here?
hello everyone!
sorry miniski.. I was looking in the grid
hi blue
hi boo!
love your profile pix!
ty
it sure is quiet in here
been quiet
all day
Hi Good Enough
hi good enough
oops looked away for a bit
hey all, back to find 72 words.
congrats on your book, angelson
does anyone use a voice activated GPS in their car?
not me, peri -- I've just ordered an ordinary one like bugsaw's.
Hello all -- 30 left here
your ordered the Garmin 265T, right, jilli?
yes, peri
guess you liked it. neer drove with anyone who had a gps
el cheapo!
dis you roder a stand too
Amazonhas the best price
I thought it was great. A voice tells you what to do.
did you order a stand, geez, cant type
yes, I ordered the threesome from Amazon.
a voice tells you what to do? did not know tht. that would be good.
maybe I willorder that one too.
ok, brb
And you have a choice of voices -- bugs likes the woman with an English accent and I do too. I think there's a choice of languages too.
Angelsong - I put your book into my Amazon wish-list, for next month - I've ordered four cookbooks this month, so must budget.
25 left and I'm stumped.
does anyone have a clue for tr6/18 and tr7/28?
tr6/18 is a sugar...tr5/10+vowel
tr7/28 is the plural
thanks, mag, and hi!
hello
I do not see a threesome on Amazon, jilli, what did you order besides the gps?
is that you in your icon???
who me?
A non-slip stand and a case, peri. But I ordered from Amazon.ca, which may be different from Amazon.com.
yes you, mag :)
ok jilli
no, it is Tim Curry from Rocky Horror Picture Show. I wished I looked that good in a leather corsette
Oh, ignorant me -- haven't seen the Rocky Horror
that's a guy, mag?
i mean corset. Yes, that is a man in drag.
wow -- good-looker!
lol...strange but entertaining movie if you like musicals
anyone have a clue for sc5/14 and 6/24?
depends on the music, mag!
sc5/14 - parts of an act
sorry - wrong one!!!
sc5/14...to move upward but minus the first letter
I thought that was sc5/12, TL!
scend
sorry wrong box!
thanks again, mag
your very welcome
's ok, TL -- we've all done that
you're very welcome
rodent.....gggrrrr
jill, have you ever heard of "The Time Warp"?
the dance from Rocky Horror?
monkey is finding some weird ones now, like ro5/20 and 6/33!
let's do the time warp again.
No, mag -- a book?
It's just a jump to the left...no it is a song from the movie that is very popular around halloween
I guess I don't know that movie either :(
you don't know the Rocky Horror Picture Show? I thought everyone did.
Jillibus, the movie's a hoot, but best seen at a cinema.
Much interacting with many of the audience.
take props with you
i adore you, jill
Toast, and a fan(?), and I think a pack of cards. I wasn't prepared, the first time I saw it -- took my daughter and a friend to the midnight show, the car broke down, couldn't get a cab ... oh yes, I remembered that show - but took them again, about a year later.
I've never seen it in the theater, only on the tv and it's still pretty great but it is definitely better in the theatre.
I know OF the Rocky Horror, just never saw it. A little while ago there was a performance somewhere near here and tickets were peddled on the local online community site. I guess I should have grabbed one! But it's not as much fun going to such things alone, I think -- ?
Can't imagine why the adoration, mag!
you made me smile on what was a bad day, jill
oh good that you got a smile, but sorry it's been a bad day :(
Throughout the year, a local cinema shows the movie, always at midnight, and people tunup dressed as their favourit character. Before the film, they do a linedance to Time Warp - then the audience gets into the act (tossing toast whe the word occurs in the scrips) and spritzing water at some point. Hood fun.
babble is a good place to go on bad days
nothing like some babble and babblers to cheer me up
Sounds wild, Christine!
So if you haven't seen the show, how do you know who your favourite character is???
Of course, a movie at midnight in this island of early risers would attract about 3 people.
then you can go as a party guest. I went in casual clothing with some gel in my hair and bright lipstick.
I'd scare everyone away, lol!
you put your hands on your hips...
Nahhh, Jill! Trust me
Jilli, I just order the same gps, a stand and case from Amazaon. thanks for your help
well, I have to go. It was nice chatting with you all. Take care and Let's do the Time Warp again!
Refresh to see me on New Year's Eve, 1967, blonde wig and all! Good enuf for a Party guest?
the dancer in me always wanted to be columbia, but i like megantas hair much better. :)
definitely good enough, jilli ;)
great photo, jilli :)
I hope we like them, peri!
yes, definitely
No cigarettes now, or much of any of that photo!
hi dc ;)
me too jilli
hi. pooped in for a short bit before i head out for the evening
teehee.... dc pooped
hah! meant popped ;)
byebye - time for hot tea.
jilli, I love your picture!!!
It wouln't do to poop out before going out.
so, almost 3 hours after my usual leave-work time, and im still here. ::le sigh::
thx, peri -- it's long gone!
I was blowing smoke, hence the sulky look
one of these days I will post a picture of me back in the day
yes jilli ery sulky :)
that would make a good icon theme...
stil 71 to find *sigh*
any word from NB? I have not heard of anything since he landed in Korea
yes it would
6 left here -- better get on with it -- lots of other stuff needs doing!
NB was welcomed at first, but got a mixed reaction when he came out. Young cousins stood by him.
yay for the cousins!!
peri -- i believe he was online earlier in the week. apparently the extended family is quite upset with his parents. not so sure they are happy about him being gay, but apparently they are quite appalled that the parents lied because in their culture, they send gifts and money when a family member dies, so they consider his parents to be thiefs now.
Yes indeed -- not easy for them in that society, I guess.
aw thieves, hmmm. thanks for the update
His parents are horrible.
so, rejection or not, his parents got theirs
is that the geneal korean culture or just his parents
general even
mostly korean culture, i think
i know that played in his decision to move to Britain
must be careful with typing, do not want to ruin my French manicure :)
oh my -- French manicures are impossible for the likes of moi.
why Jilli?
any clues for the last two ce6/21s?
had regular pedicure, Chocolate Rose
I have tiny little fingernails, more like toenails. A gift from a grandfather I never knew, I hear.
my toes, at the moment, are a very sad and pathetically chipped neon pink
both, CEs are babblets, one with a greek plural, one an english plural
i must away, bbl :) happy babbling yall
Then if I grow them they come out all wavy. Ugh!
oh, and the CEs are related, only last letter differs
thx dc
{poof}
fe6/30 and 7/44 please someone?
some of my fingernails brow out a little wonky, but if i take care to shape them a certain way, i can actually grow them out relatively long. im quite lucky to have fairly strong nails -- until winter, that is, when they become dry and brittle and split like the dickens.
I take calcium and my nails are very strong and I can grow them long if I want too. like to keep them fairly short tho
I just keep my nails short and (I hope) inconspicuous
don't have them but will look jilli
i just had several nails break off all at once. im am hoping they grow back to a good length before the wedding, otherwise i will have to get tips put on, which i really dont want to do.
when is the wedding?
october. just under 2 months go go now!
firewords (thank you, morewords, for the last 4!)
yay jilly\
I can clue for a little while if needed...
43 left, taking a brek bbl
bye for now
(those fe words are a small African fox)
bye peri
No clues needed? Well, off to do chores then -- bye all! *poof*
hi all

yes, thanks m9, a bit more than normal at least
the journalling definitely helped

Hello Uneaixoise! How are you doing? Welcome to grid
22 left for me , the hard end

hey, min :-)
I aro 4/4 early this morning to start babbling. I knew that I would not finish the grid when I fa4/8ed it this morning because I had a busy day ahead w/my niece and nephew. Gave up after finding 163 words so now I'll le 4/5 a hand with a story of clues. I'm babysitting for my oldest sister, who offered me some ca4/6 for my services.Sometimes my niece can be a pe4/5, but she was good today. It was hot today, so my nephew and niece played with ho5/12 outside. They used 2 ho 5/12 and ho 5/14 eachother down. When they were done, they came inside & pretended to have a party with the 2 dogs. My niece&the dogs were the guests and my nephew was the ho4/5. After that I fed them pe 5/12 alla vodka for lunch. After lunch, we le4/7 to go to the pool. After the pool, I took niece & nephew on a nature walk. My niece found a bird's ne 4/4 and my nephew picked some ro 5/10. When we got back, they watched "Galaxy Qu5/16". My niece laughed at many sc6/21 in the movie. When the movie was over, they ro4/5 in the car with me to get ice cream. Then I took them shopping. My niece got a sh 5/12 and my nephew got an as4/4ment of toys. I made them wear seat belts so they would be sa4/7.When we got back they watched the sh 4/9 Hannah Montana. My story of clues en4/5 here.It makes se5/10 for me to se4/5 myself to bed since I have to get up early tomorrow.

Hi Luy.
by choice or necessity?
hi luwa
ARDILLA - that's quite a cculturer change.
or service calls?
kinda both; i'm military so i move every 1-2 years
Yeam ard, II knew that. A big adjustment ahead then.
so far, every move has been to somewhere i listed on my choices
i just remembered that when i asked. that seems like a liveable change.
Well, ard, it's one way of travelling the world...
well good night friends. catch ya later.
My daughter intends to travel the world son=on. Unfortunately, she may have to do it alone and that worries me... a lot.
ce7?
night good enough!

se is an indian tribe

se words have to do with North American Indians.
thx jac
more info for an ignorant aussie ?
ardilla - yes, but even in so-callled safe places like Australia, lone female back packers have been murdered.
add abbreviation for california to se4/4
I don't want my daughter to go travelling alone. I can't afford to go with her, not that she'd want me to anyway, but I wish one of her friends could go with her.
Thank you, gottem and FW!!
oh dear, i will keep her in my prayers
yw contgrats day
Thank you ardilla.
*congrats
and I just looked up the meaning in the dictionary so am a little more knowledgable now. TY
Well done, day
sa 6/30 and sa 7/44?
My daughter travelled to UK and Europe on her own when she was 19, I was frantic, but she did well
sa7 rhymes with mr cousteau, make singular for sa6
and my son travelled around Sth America and all sorts of scary places alone, he was in his 30's though, but it was still a nerve wracking experience for his mum!
ah thanks ardilla
day - that's okay and she would mostly have been okay there. My own daughter is a bit concerned about travelling in Brazil and other parts of South America alone.
yw
anymore clues needed?
Hi Westford! It's Steven
She isn't worried about NZ, Tasmania. She IS worried about Australia, but only becaause of the spidders.

evening all
Spiders are not actually rampant in australia Jac! They have a bad press
Anyway, it isn't happening for a few months yet. So I'm off to bed now, still glad that she visits me most days, tells me stuff and brings the strange stains she can't get out of her washing to me.
thats nice Jac:)
We do havve to converse about just what she was doing or eating before the mysterious stain occurred/ LOL
sometimes its better not to know! too much information...
I usually get some clue about what stain removal technique to use.
Westford, you there?
day - Yes, I sometimes do get TMI.
lol jac
Far more than I would ever have told or ever will tell my own Mother. lol.

oops, nope, more like to** spelling,
ty, definitely should have gotten that one...
can I ask a silly question , remembering I'm a relative newbie on Babble. I keep seeing references in the chog to something being "fishy". What does that mean?
fish = easy word
it is not a silly question kat, it's a silly babble tradition
like if you ask for an easy word and feel stupid, you get slapped with a fish
easy or obvious word
i can't remember how it started
;)
ahhh - thank you Pinkula, now I know!! Silly Babble traditions are what makes this place such a nice place to be
7 years old!!! http://tinyurl.com/36nwze2
and Jilly gets a >*))<< for the to4.4

Hi, Gwen

May I please have a clue for sh5-12 the 1st? Thanks
about the same :) i even get out and be social now and again
cranksh5
or give someone the sh5
i helped my mom with her puter and she bought me some food today. weee!
or, old skool: sh5!
days like that are trying, agreed
her tv i can't help her with, it's one of the new ones . . .
Thanks y'all.
what's her problem with it?
Hi, peach
you know the new tvs have hundreds of settings, don't you? you can't just turn it on and watch tv anymore
Hi there, Jellen. Prayers are still going for you.
you can, if watch TV is all you do with it
just a matter of selecting the right input, which will vary with cable or off the air
and never hitting the menu button
Thank you peach...I need them!
no, tvs don't even have antennas anymore. but she has cable, so she kept calling the cable co for help, and the 3rd guy they sent was able to explain the basics to her (the first 2 could only talk geekinese)
jellen, have you gotten the cards that i have sent?
"selecting the right input" does not make sense to my mom, or a lot of people
i understand that. helped set up my friend's mom's tv for her
Yes, joey, thanks!
just checking, you are very welcome
cable guy was great, explained in simple language what to do. it helped that she had DVR before, too.
i have two high-tech-geek friends. first one bought one of the new tvs. 6 hours to set it up. second one, 8 hours to set it up
took me 30 min to set up my friend's mom's new sony. what complications does your mom have?
dc, i cannot help my mom with her tv and i cannot explain the problem to you either. these things are way over my head. which my mom doesn't seem to get, or else she would stop asking me for help with it
:) gotcha
i watched my friends set up theirs, though. menu after menu full of technocheese i did not understand. very much like a puter, not a tv
today i caught me mom watching stretch-o-vision. that's the only problem i can help her fix, and she said she did not care. AARRGH!
May I please have a clue for en6-30? Thanks
en + smiley ****
Brain is in

oh yeah, I see, westford -- hard to start it and not stop, isn't it?
Yay, peach!!!
I have no will power lol
George, I used to, then it disappeared and I have no idea why. I asked them and they said to ask Dr God and he said he couldn't help!
oh I know why, it's the username your putting in
I had the same trouble, to work out which it should be, thought it wanted the username with numbers, it's not that one
Same username I've aways used, geo
nice cake!!
you hadn't changed it?
no change, george.
F ~ I ~ R ~ E ~ F ~ L ~ U ~ K ~ E ~ S !
I would try removing it all then putting it back, it's not the ID with numerals and an @ in it you want, it's the other one, mine is just 'Gеогgе'!
