Wish someone had a got a pic a couple eve's ago. The dog and one of the cats were in my lap... he's really too big to be a lap dog but Elina lets him up all the time. At least he's a good boy and only does so if invited and promptly gets down if asked.

my friend's dog also has a very bad hip. I went to let them out a few times while she was out of town for the day.... I already knew how terrible it was for himj to go up and down the stairs (have to hold him back while the other two go first.. or they might run him over..which could be disatrous) But I really felt sorry for him when he had to poo. SO hard to squat.

she just got him not long ago from the family that has had him most of his life. She knew he was also sick.. but it was shocking to actually see him. He's already looking better after being with her a while. But he's not young. She went to talk to the vet about options for if he does break the leg..
they're very sweet though. All three are standard poodles.
Well what is very strange Jill, is that ever since the x-rays, Rufus has improved in some strange way.
Doesn't cry when he gets ups, runs around like mad, and has even been sleeping on his bad side.
I can't understand it.
Maybe there was some manipulation needed for the X-rays which did some good?

tim explained to me that you can't trust a dog to show you how he's feeling though.. because showing injury is showing weakness, so they sometimes hide it very well. I sure hope that's not it though and that he's doing better!

I was at someone's house the other day and she was watching a show called "pit boss". There was one missing a back leg..and she actually moved around fairly well. So even though that is not the hopeful outcome, if it does happen, he can still have a good life probably.

no, it hurts all the time. It locks up when I overdo things and when the muscles are too tired.

She is looking at Chester College (200 students) in NH and the NH Institute of Art. She does want to tour the Maine School of Art. We have driven throught the Mass School of Art in Boston but no way - too big too busy
She want to go away but not far - couple hours max.
I can understand that. I can't handle big cities any more, even though I grew up in NY (and went to art school there). Fortunately, it was a very minor (and small) dept in a moderately-sized college
far enough to spread her wings but close enough that you can get to her should she get sick :-)
but I lived at home, couldn't leave my mother at that age
She is looking at a Major in Photography and minor in Graphic Arts
our oldest has his major in photography

I work hard to promote animal rescue and adoption, as so many animals lose their lives all because some people must have a dog or cat that suits their fancy, a 'purebred', etc. There are many purebred as well as crossbreed dogs and cats in rescue groups and shelters, in desperate need of homes...

Dogs rarely make unprovoked attacks. What upsets a dog can be difficult to understand for us. But that was a failure of the person to know their dog, to know the signs.

a friend of mine found two cats hiding on his porch in the middle of winter
he didnt want to throw them out so he kept them til he was able to find them a home
well turns out they were both pregnant
he ended up with the two females plus his own female and eleven kittens running around til he found them all a home lol
oh boy! Tat's like the time we bred 2 Danes, because the older one had missed on the first try. Well, she took and had 6, and the younger one took and had 8, 2 weeks later.
