hmmm, chicken?
I don't even have the chicken
not me
chicken? I have one that resembles a 'pig'
h'mm... no chicken here either
is that the same one?
hu 4 is in the grid. I would have thought Metfan would have hu4 around
i have a gu6 that is the cement they use to build swimming pools
that was it ursh.. thank you
gu6 is a sort of fowl and also an old England unit of money, worth 21 shillings I think
thanks ursh
ok, found the gu6 you mean, ruru.. ty

thx gin
thanks Aloy
(-: yw
th4's lickety's extra one
first re8?
i bet the lu6 is supposed to be lubing
i just checked morewords, lubing shows up, but is not accepted in this grid
have all the l's , and lu6, greasing is not in them
yes it is, josh
tried that josh
lu6.33 was accepted when I tried it, josh
re8 = re**lar or decaf + draw a straight ****
that's pretty odd, because it's not accepting it here
it's accepted by Lickety but not by the Word List
but i have the l tile greyed, and no lu6 he4
TYVM!
.. interesting
lubing won't work for me either
so perhaps lu6 is lickety's extra word?
nor for me...
ok, just double checked.. it shows up in lickety's but not on my word list
it's the extra word in lickety's list
using Expert, lu6/33 automatically went to Lickety but never showed in the Word List so it must be the extra word.
.. must be
Aloy, that's what I said at 1:23
Aloyisius - is your lu6 LUBING ? because it wont' accept that. Or have you another lu6 ?
Christine, just scroll down a bit for the conversation about lubing
Christine, that was my first lu6.. and it is on Lickety's, but not on the My Word List
Thank you -- just did.
yes, sorry jilli, missed your 1:23 comment

4-letter words or more
It's very quiet....
HELLO LILE! making up for the silence....

Yes, lovely day ruby.
and today au***s well, also
Just as well because we went down to a shop about 30 miles away and ended up buying a table which we brought back on the roof bars of the car. Ludky no rain!

A new breakfast room table.

poof, for now. see you later
bye ruby. Have a good day.
enjoy your table. Have a second breakfast, maybe
:-)
morning all...
Hello Fish.
Hi both.
Hiya Sal.
morning all
Ha! Got 100.
Hmph. Struggling at 59!
Hiya Spritey((()))
Hallo Sprite.
hiya Soodle :)
hi Sally!
doesn't really look like a grid that offers 229 words to me
They come in sudden spirts, sprite. See one pattern and suddenly there are several. But only half way so far :-(
ah ok! Thank you.
But I wish I didn't keep wanting to enter "hutch".
thanks for putting that one on my eyes, lol
Lol, Sal - I tried it a couple of times myself!
oh great, now you made me want to enter "hitch" repeatedly. >.<
that and agent
Glad to be of service to you all. You could try "bling" instead - my other phantom.
And Sunlight.
where did "sunlight" come from? o.0
and regent
lollllll Sally. And wow Soodle, you win the phantom prize today
and sunlit, even more likely :-)
usually from up
ConXShun, are you lurking? Your last name is in the grid today :)
also, is it really already 0431 Babble Time today? :oO
ok, you can all vote for today's word that should have been valid. I submit: removing big green trunked plants.
ty sprite, that made me notice a word I hadn't seen.
yvw :)
(and it wasn't the big green trunked plant one).
even better!
To prevent :-)
nice one!
Oooh. Ta Sal :-)
A real fish slap too.
*whacks around babble with a guppy*
ouch!
*washes face*
tsk crybaby. It was just a guppy!
:o( poor guppy...
Is that what you say to your children? :-)
nah it had been dead for a week.
*whacks around aquarium with sprite* How do you feel about that? :oO
From the smell, it was already dead dfm.
lol! No I just won another bad mum prize yesterday... my son got me so pissed that when he asked me something he wanted in the middle of our fight, I said no. He said why not? And I said because I am so darn mad at you that everything you ask will be no for now!
wet, mostly, dfmchfhf!
sprite you're lucky he didn't ask whether he *couldn't* do what he wanted... ;o)
lol sprite! I know just the moment. It is better when they grow up :-)
yeah, and usually it isn't that bad. Best of all, we can all laugh about it afterwards. But I will never win the best mum contest, lol. My son said: well at least you are honest!
"better" i.e. instead of arguing they'll ignore you...
Yes, absolutely. That is so good sprite. It is good that they know the adults can lose it too.
Must get something, brb
I am pretty hard to ignore, grin. But they are good kids and good persons. Just ruled by hormones atm. It will pass.
thanks Sally :)
ah, the hormone period... I never went through that yet >.<
your loss... or you are a good liar, lol
my brother did, so annoying when even speaking to him would make him yell x.x
yeah, it is fun.
There are so many hormones flying around my house, I have to duck to avoid them. I keep telling the kids - You just wait til I hit the menopause, & I will match you, hormone for hormone....
I had my first (severe) mood swing about half a year ago :oS and that was in an empty room (well, mostly empty except for some furniture, a computer and me)
wow I love that threat, Soodle!
It scares the bejaysus outta the kids!!!!
(and you do realise you made me see 'clutch' too, right?)
And ditch and rich :-)
yes!
lol that menopauzal threat reminds me of something we laughed about last week... when my dear son told us he would leave home first possible moment, and I said: keep this up and we may beat you to it. And he went: YAY, do we get to keep the house?
gaah, the sun is starting to rise and I'm starting to need my sleep. <.<
sleep well dfmchfhf
lol, when my son threatened to leave home I offered to find him a map. Think he was about 9 at the time :-)
night all :o)
Good nite Dfm
well, "night". It's sort of "morning" now...
good night dfm
oh! LOL yes I remember some similar moment from my daughter. Also very young. I helped her pack and gave her a big hug at the front door. She walked as far as the end of the garden, then returned. So cu4!
What they don't realise is that we have done it all ourselves. I remember when my son bunked off school, he couldn't imagine how I knew!
LOL, same here, Sprite. I even pretended to call the orphanage, to see if they had a bed for her!
kids are amazing, aren't they!
rofl soodle!!
hahahaha! Yep we tell them it is because we are mothers and we know because of that... but they don't realise we have been there!
lol @ orphanage!
She is 19 now, and still a drama queen. She thinks she invented 'Being Young'! (If only she knew!!!)
let me guess: words most uttered by her are: You just don't understand!
Absolutely, Sprite. But, (unfortunately for her) I have a long memory!!
hehehe I think that is only good. It is a tough period for parents but even more for our beloved teenagers themselves. They are lucky to have parents who remember.
In mid argument, she often plays her trump card....'Back in the olden days, when you were young....'
yayyyyy :D I have to reward her points for that one, grinnnnn.
Yes, just think soodle, we existed without Facebook and texting!!
and you play back: Hey girl, we may not have had the wheel th4, but we sure had fire!
Its hilarious, isn't it? The kids just can't get their heads around what life was like without mobile phones and puters. When Sarah was young, she used to think that life was lived in Black & White!
I often don't realise myself how strange it must seem to them. I had my girl panic once because we had to meet up at the end of the day somewhere and she forgot to take her mobile. And when I said: 19.00 sharp right he4 before this bakery, she thought I was SO smart!
I do think it's been a period with unbelievable change in it. But aren't we lucky to have lived through and known that! To remember the first moon landing, the first PC, even in my family getting our first fridge and our first phone (land line!).
oh yes. I think I prefer it to taking it all for granted because of never having known any different.
And now I think nothing of sitting in bed using my iPad, of having my phone with me always and being able to play audiobooks on it and so forth, or of using the web cam to talk to son and small grandson.
I think the two things I love most are having the puter and internet to keep in touch and play games, and having my mobile when I have to drive far or late.
But having lived through all this, I can manage if necessary without. If we have no power (as happens quite often!) we can exist without, I can cook without, entertain myself without.
Sadly I think quite a few youngsters don't have the first idea how to do that.
(sorry, gets off soap box)
which is something kids nowadays find hard to do.
Snap sprite.
sorry, whatfor? It is fun to share this, am enjoying myself :)
Well I sound like an old fogey :-)
Yikes - I'm not sure if I could be without my phone for long.... Or my puter......I'm a bit of a slave to both :-)
this conversation is too captivating for me to go to sleep XoD
I use my puter every day, but as soon as I am away on holiday or such, I don't miss it at all. As far as my phone goes, I have it turned off most of the time, lol.
One thing I do notice though is that despite all the technology available and all the information available, there is a huge hole in youngsters' general knowledge. I cannot believe what such basic things some of them are not aware of.
Are you young, or a fogey, Dfm?
get them to participate in trivia!
I'm nineteen :o/ I think
yeah, 2010-1991=19.
I use my computer all the time, have my phone on all the time, but I can manage without :-). Even if it means playing Babble on paper, to get my priorities right.
This isn't a criticism of young people, dfm :-) Perhaps a criticism of their teachers.
I can't survive without my computer, there's nothing to program random stuff on! (but I can live off playing board games instead...)
true, trivia is a great way to fill up some of those holes
I've participated in trivia enough that I can walk into any first-year exam at my university and do WELL in it >.>
I actually tried that a few times, got kicked out by two of five profs though :o( and there was one who joked that I did better than all of the students in the class (I felt really bad for that one)
I have a magic phone! It used to be a bill-pay, and when my domestic circumstances changed - I changed it over to a pay-as-you-go. I topped up with credit in November 2007, and havent done so since then. I can still make calls.......
wow Soodle
hey I am finding numerals all of a sudden!
I know! And even better, it is in my ex-husbands name, so if they ever come looking for payment, it will him they will be looking for!
I am finding some very unlikely words ending in -ing!
also sal I love teacher and old-people conversations ;o) back in grade school I talked with and hung out with teachers more than students x.x
*giggles* I like you, Soodle!
good job, sprite, you have me trying "eight" repeatedly now.
Down a bit dfm :-)
it was the same with me, dfmchfhf. Even when I was young, I had friends of all ages.
hehehe, close but no cigar for the eight
oh no, sal, now I'm trying "seven" repeatedly. x.x
aarrggh!
Further down :-)
or up, Sally
negative seven? ;o)
True, but same root if we are thinking of the same words sprite.
yep same root, but both above eight. Below eighty though ;)
wow I went on a number-typing spree and missed the only one in the grid XoD
at least two of them, fmchfhf
mmm, think there must be one I don't have yet sprite.
got the higher one earlier already
hello friends. nightmare awoke me hours earlier than I need to be up. may as well babble, eh?
good!
awwww Trif *hugs* Rotten nightmares. But it is lovely to see you.
also most people shorten my name to "dfm", not "fmchfhf" ;o)
hey trif, Babble (chat) has been keeping me up past sunrise ;o)
Hi Trif. Long time no see. How are you doing?
sorry, I mistyped
It is a mouthful, dfm! and hi Trif.
LOL sprite -- good thing I know you so well, or I might have thought that "good!" was directed at me having a nightmare!
Was the nightmare that you went to your computer and there was no Babble today?
hello soodle! How are you, dear one?
Or worse...No computer!
don't worry about spelling my name right, everyone spells it wrong anyways ;o) (for some reason "dmf" is too common :o/)
never! I want you to have fun, sunny, naughty dreams!
goodness, I would have woken up screaming!
Sal I had a nightmare about leaving Friday's grid overnight with all but 3 words and waking up to find Babble gone!
lol Trif.
Good morning everyone
lol dfm!
morning Norma! You had quite a sleep-in ;)
good morning norma. DFM, I have fallen asleep with only three to go before.....grrrrrr
I'm ok, Trif. And you? Hello Norma. :-)
maybe norma slept after sunset too?
*sunrise
Just a little one .... have to have breakfast before babble or I starve lol
sprite, your icon picture is pissa.
I have been at the stage when my eyes are dropping and it's late and I only have a few to get, but I've learnt to to walk away.
hehehe at least someone got her priorities right. wtg Norma :)
You have more self control than me Sally ... I just keep going regardless lol
pissa, Trif? What is that? (sorry, dumb dutch girl, too stupid to be blonde)
now didn't I say I was going to go to bed? :o/ someone needs to confiscate my computer... and close the curtains...
I don't know what it means either, sprite!
oh, soodlebum, before I forget - my ex mother in law is nearing the end of her life's journey, and I probably will go to the funeral, which I am assuming will be in Cavan, though it *might* be in Dubs, so that her old church friends could attend. Anyway, if I come over, maybe we could have a cup of tea or something? It would be so amazing to actually meet!
Sleep well dfm ... it is only 11.30am here
if you were my kids, I'd unplug your puter from the router, dfmchfhf :)
pissa means really cool, in Boston...
What's the time of day where you are dfm?
it's 0630h here...
oh nice! Thanks Trif!
So late to bed then dfm, not just up very early!
kid, singular. Sheezzz I might need breakfast too. Brunch, more like. But I did have coffee.
Oh Trif - I am sorry to hear about your mil, but, Oh my goodness - I would love to meet up with you.
so sorry about your mil, Trif. But kind of jealous at Soodle for not living there!
I can be two people. I think...
thanks! She has advanced Alzheimers, and is no longer meaningfully responsive or anything, so I am hoping the end of her days are merciful and peaceful
I used to be schizophrenic, but we are ok now.
Trif, be it Cavan or Dublin - we will definitely meet. I am relatively close to both.
I pray they may be, Trif.
LOL Sprite((()))
There are no Italian Babblers, are th5? Just thinking we are going back to Venice next May...
ardilla is in spain, but she is really an american, of course
dfmchfhf, do you know the failproof way to cure a schizophrenic with only one therapy session?
A bit far from Venice, even so.
I dunno, we're not schizophrenic...
just send him/her two bills.
but it's a good question! Let's see, I know we have babblers in: USA, Canada, Holland, Australia, Ireland, England, Wales, and maybe one in France....
France for sure (rubyfoo)
rubyfoo is an American living in France.
Some in Scotland and Wales as well.
yes, I was thinking of ruby, but sometimes people just put up flags they like, so there you go
also one in turkey, one in china, some in Israel
seriously? that's so greta
great, even
Would be fun to make a map.
I'm originally from Hong Kong, if that helps you expand your list ;o)
there is at least one in some african country
can we count Korea, via Nancyboy?
Dr_G is American I think.
I agree sally, it would.
Spain though
and of course there may be many lurkers who we don't know about.
I say yes, Trif
Yes, certainly Korea, but I was thinking of location rather than nationality. NB lives in London now.
Yes, I was too, sally, but thought maybe....you are right though. we will need two maps. One for location, one for origin
Well I suppose you could put different coloured pins on the map, say green for current location and blue for origin or something.
drG could make them part of the new babble site... at least a world map with numbers of players in the different countries.
And isn't Hurshy in South Africa?
I once belonged to a group where we did just that, and put markers on the map which we could all access through the internet, but can't remember how it was done.
I know a site where they do do that... gonna check how they do it
could be fun
Would Dr_G actually know where we are all from? We just give email addresses, don't we, not location (except in our flags if we choose).
Thought you were going to bed dfm lol
I did? :oO I keep on forgetting! :o(
yes, I think you are right, Sally, but it would be a fun map already with only the people who clicked th5 location.
that is from lack of sleep, dfmchfhf, it is bad for the memory
<http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to-c reate-shared-collaborative-google-maps />
woot Sally, good one
If you look at the Rankings tab there are many many names I have never seen come up so perhaps they don't join in the chat ??
yes most people don't chat, Norma.
greetings~ I need some advice if any of you are knowledgeable about baking. I'm going to be making dinner rolls from scratch today as practice for Thanksgiving. I have a recipe, but I need to know if the unbaked dough can be frozen before it's baked, and if so, how to freeze it and if the baking time or temperature needs to be changed.
No-one would have to join in, Norma.
most unbaked dough can be frozen, rolled up in plastic foil. Let thaw and reach normal temp before baking, same times.
I just send Dr. G a message asking about putting a map in the new babble....
they do that on casualcollective (which is where I'm checking the source code now)... you can put your pin as close or as far from your actuaal location as you want. (and they're nudged a bit so it's almost impossible to use your actual location)
oh Trif you rock! You really walk your talk, don't you.
You did, Trif! Yay!
oh, yikes! I never thought about the downside of putting pins in where we live....good point th5 dfm....
Would be much easier if it was done "officially" rather than one of us putting up a map.
I try to sprite, though I often land far afield of where I aimed. The road to hell, as they say.....
I shouldn't worry, Trif,they aren't that accurate.
*really wants his credit card not to take so long to start existing*
Good morning all. Angelsong, I freeze bread and roll dough all the time. I let it defrost and rise a little before baking. Good luck with your rolls.
yes it would, it would require a bit of programming from drG, just making use of the data already in Babble.
morning Molly
dfm, are you going to go pro?
:o( CC uses a modified fetch of Google Maps, their code isn't for open use
I want to go Pro...
Trif, no deed can be bad when the intention is good. That saying about the road to hell is rubbish :) Also I sincerely believe our value lies in the trying, not in the succeeding.
thanks, Mollly and Sprite. I am hoping to save some time by freezing the dough. I'm going to make two batches, one to bake today and one to freeze. this recipe has to rise twice, so I could probably freeze it before the second rise...
OMG, the navigator from Star Trek is a valid word!!! Rock ON, George Takei!!!!
Waving my nerd flag HIGH
Babble is one of those things which are too awesome for me not to donate to
lolllll isn't it great, Trif!
that would be best, Angel.
oh, sigh.....wasn't really gonna share this, but....having a big sunday dinner with my dad and his wife today, and the extended family. I was so looking forward to it, until the SM sucked all the fun out of it. She called to see how many were coming, etc. (this was all her idea, you see, as they will be away for real Thanksgiving). so we are chatting away, and she says "I just knew your house would be the perfect place for us to have this dinner, as I know YOU won't kill yourself cleaning just because we are coming!" uh.......thanks?
now the whole day I am going to want to plunge a fork in her temple.
that is plain rude. {{{{{{Trif}}}}} Stand tall, be proud and let the SM sink into something dark, danky and filthy.
Take a deep breath Trif and smiiiiiiiiile you will feel so much better for it lol
Look on it as a compliment Trif. Obviously her house is such a tip that she does have to spend the whole day cleaning.
LOL sprite. Of course I DID spend all day yesterday white-glove cleaning everthing, and you know she will find the one spot I missed. fait accompli
she has maids to do it for her, sally
You need to find a sweet answer for her before she arrives Trif. Sweet and deadly :-)
Of course, it is my choice to let her tarnish the day....I should treasure the time with my dad, and she can go pound tar.
darn darn darn. Isn't it horrible how we let get people and words like that get to us! Well, anyway, you are a wonderful person. She is definitely not. And if she does find that one place, kindly point her to the bucket and mop and tell her to rectify it immediately, seeing how she is such a pro.
((((babble friends))))
Yes, treasure the time Trif. She is probably like this because she is jealous of your relationship wth your Dad which she can do nothing about.
and for your opening speech, start with: Welcome dear ladies... dear gentlemen... and SM."
Oh...what Sally said. And then some. Try to rise above it all Trif. The best revenge is living well.
and on the plus side, I am having thanksgiving at my house this year, and the major cleaning is done. just a fluff and dust to come
I agree with Sally - she clearly has a problem with your relationship with your Dad, Trif. What a nasty old witch!
If she finds a mark, tell her that you have more in your life to think about than cleaning and you are sorry for her that that is so important to her.
to be honest, mostly I just think "oh, you silly bitch!" in my head....
Sprite!!! Ding, ding, ding!!!
*grin*
sprite, I had to smile yesterday. My husband and I assist my former MIL with her grocery shopping. she wanted a bag of flour, so my husband bought one for her yesterday, but she gave it to us...because it was not self-rising. I can make self-rising flour myself, in about two seconds.
Well you could just let those words slip out :-)
I was thinking of saying "oh you found it! Good for you! I wanted to leave one little spot for you to find, like a treasure hunt! you win the prize!"
Trif, imagine how wretched it is to live like her, and be glad you're you.
wtg Angelsong, and great you can smile about it.
Tell her it must be difficult to be so perfect :-)
angelsong, how do you make self rising flour? you are so clever!
I was in bad form when I logged in today, but you guys cheered me up. Babble is great!
you okay soodle?
very good, Trif! And then add: "I hope you feel content now too. Because I am so great at being content, which is one of the most important skills of life. I am so happy I can help you practice it a bit!"
what is up, Soodle?
A silly row with my new-ish boyfriend. (I feel ridiculous calling him a boyfriend -we are both 50!)
whoa! you have been holding out on me, soodle! new beau? DO TELL!!!!
(((Soodle))) those things blow over in time.
your new love then, or your new beau ;) Sorry to hear you had a row. Usually it is an important part of starting a relation though. It helps getting to know eachother in important ways.
and please, for the love of ALL that is holy, call him your bf, or your partner or whatever, but spare us all the "this is my lover...." ugh. always makes me want to take a shower when I hear that one.
hi all - isnt the weather vile today
hi Kazz, it is, he4, and has been for some days.
I agree Trif. Lover is too intimate a term to use for introductory purposes.
I used to go out with him when we were both early 20's.... tracked him down (stalked?) on Facebook, and the flame was re-ignited. It was going soooooo well til last night - me and my uber-sensitiveness. :-(
:)
'I am not much of a lover but I'd sure know how to love her if she'd only would discover that I love her.'
forecast said it should be brighter spells and temps of 10 or 11 - ust been shopping and it pouring down and temp of 6 - nasty
oh, soodle...what a nice story of how you met, and were rekindled! and it sounds like it will be going well again. these things do mend
I hope so, Trif. He really is a terrific guy.
Soodle, dearheart, being sensitive is A. not for nothing and B. not a bad thing. You have every right to be you, and being sensitive to certain things is part of that. It is good that he knows that and accepts you as you are. As you will do with him.
trif, make self rising flour by adding 3 tablespoons of baking powder and 1 tablespoon of salt to 6 cups of flour
wow, angel, I am so impressed!!!
you can omit the salt if you want to, and just add salt as your recipe requires
ling
pooh - sorry about that
you can also make cake flour yourself quite easily.
i love substitutions and tricks like that. always help in a pinch, don't they?
Soodle, every bump in the road is a learning experience.
I'm getting all sniffly again. Thank you all. Your all great people. I have to go now - Laters!
yes, and much less expensive than buying them
cya soodle - go talk to him
*hugs* and bye Soodle. Will think of you.
LOL Molly - I saw a tee shirt once that said "oh, no! Not another learning experience!"
Angelsong, how does one make flour?
bye soodle, and know there is always, always, love for you in babbleland
oh I want that T-shirt!
Trif, I put "make your own" recipes in my book...
Trif, I have another one that I love. It has this funny little devil that peeps over a wall and it says: God is busy, may I help you?
hahahahahah
and my son has one that says: Good news, the lab called. Your brain is ready.
I saw a great one recently -- had a little gingerbread man running on it, and one leg had broken, and it said "oh, snap!"
awwww that is so cu4!
sprite, you have to grind grains to make flour....but to make cake flour, just add 2 teaspoons of cornstarch to one cup unsifted white flour, then sift it three times.
Two I have liked. One said, "So many books, so little time" and the other one "Retired - So don't ask me to do a damn thing"
wow Angel, thanks. How do you grind them? In a coffee grinder?
oh GOOD ones, Sally!
I have a mortar and pestle but it would take days to get enough flour that way
you need grains and a grain mill to make flour
ah ok, those I do not own. Thanks anyway :)
sprite - this may be a personal question, so forgive me if I over step - I notice in your profile you say you are from the Netherlands, not Holland. I know that my neighbor, who is from Amsterdam, says its a sensitive subject for some.
oh i don't mind at all. The country is called The Netherlands. The area around Amsterdam and The Hague is Holland, split up in North Holland and South Holland. But most foreigners are more familiar with calling us Holland. And that is fine with me.
Can anyone clue the second gu6 ... not the money ;o)
Sprite, there are grain mills and grain mill attachments for stand mixers avaialble on Amazon dot com
thanks sprite
gu + modernly spelled not day
ok! Sounds great to me, Angelsong. I could make bread from scratch!
I am going to be so ti5 all day. ugh. coffee....
*sends Trif a couple of cans of energy, sunlight, smiles and giggles*
229 or 230 please
Hi everyone!
i am going to poof for a bit, for a quick cat nap. love to all my peeps!
I love making bread from scratch! I use my grandmother's crockery bread bowl. That bowl is older than my father, and he is in his late 70's.
bye trif - hellow brookie
*hugs Trif*
Hi Kazzer
229 DTins, hi Brookie
229 Dtins
I am afk for a little bit
Hi sprite
Ty All spent ages trying lubing
back already :) My turn to make you all jealous: my love just brought me coffee and my daughter is making me brunch right now!
lubing... making something moist?
Sprite thank you forthe gu clue, my internet is so slow I have had to reboot my puter thanks again ;o)
am glad you could use it, Norma, but sorry your internet is that slow. Frustrating, isn't it!
Last three - clues please for bu 6/33; lu 6/33 and un 7/40
Afternoon/morning all!
hi FM :) *hug*
lu6/33 is a phantom word on licketys list gran there are only 229 words today.
((spritey sprite))
Brookie, are you still here?
bu6: bu6 jumping is the scary thing with the elastical cord and the dead wish
Good morning FM.
Hey there Sally :)
un + word that means you want something very badly, you yearn for it and are ***** to do it.
rats, off to the PB.
it is tough to avoid today, FM :)
and as FM said, no lu6.
great mix of words today.
yes but a hard grid. I get more brick walls than ever.
yup know that feeling.
hello everybody. Back from lunch
hi rubyfoo
Hi ruby.
Hi ruby
Hallo again ruby.
Hello Norma too
Hi FM
Did you go out for lunch ruby?
fireflies! Anything else I may clue before I go?
Congrats sprite! But no thanks, plodding on.
Not for me thanks sprite .... and Congrats!!
wtg sprite
FM - love your phot of the PB
****** congrats sprite *******
have fun all, and enjoy your day and night. *hugs* Thanks for the great chat!
Thanks Kazzer, something I put together a long time ago, t'was much fun to make.
Byee spritey.
we almost always eat lunch out' it's my husband's way of being nice
and it's OK by me!
lol
I love Sunday lunch out ruby. We often do that too.
I used to make bread all the time, but no longer do it because husband won't eat it.....he wants to be (too) skinny
Today it's husband's turn to cook tonight though!
mine never cooks anything except his own poached eggs on Sunday mornings
any clues for the y's?
or the bottom u?
Ruby, it is truly a shame when there is someone willing to make bread and no one willing to eat it.
The bottom U is ul 4/6
there is nothing like homemade bread! however, a great trick, if you live in the US, is Bridgeford's frozen bread dough. Let it thaw, draw it out into long ropes and braid them, let them rise again, sprinkle on olive oil and coarse salt, let it rise again and then, take credit for homemade bread!!!!
and ut5/12, 7/32
Yes of course FM.
Had forgotten those.
Thanks - but still not seeing bu 6/33
and a very strange un6/30, I must look up the def.
Did you never hear of bu 6/33 jumping, gran?
Not for the faint hearted.
Oh, there are two bu 6/33s. Did you want the other one?
you'll not catch me ding that for sure!
I think that is what you would most want, FM, for someone to catch you!!
you could put a gun to my head and I wouldn't bu**** jump!
Got that bu 6/33 but still searching for the final one
last bu6 is bright yellow and kids go to school on it and gerund ending.
but I know people who feel that way about tapioca pudding!
OK, the other one is one I would normally use a double consonant in, it means to transport students from one area to another and the first three letters are the form of transport, with a gerund ending.
FM! The picture of the PB is precious!
Thanks Molly, th5 are many references to babblets and babblers in th5 :)
ok, got one u but how about the y for nbt, then I can take a nap with impunity.....
Thanks for that and finished!
ya5/18 if it had an extra vowel in it, it would be a famous fashion house.
Congrats gran.
Yes, and we had sirdar yesterday, which I thought was a proper name.
congrats, gran
I'm monkeying the ya without success. Monkeys are lying on the floor panting
aaah, got the ya5. Thank you
and monkeys thank you
wtg
oh no, just saw anothe r0, middle e!!!
en4/6
rubyfoo, I just came on and saw your poor monkey story. Obviously you don't drink enough or you would have recognized the 1st name of the black devil.
gramma, I guess I'm just not up on my bible!!!
Bible? Drink, my friend. Over here we even have Ya*** Miester girls that go to the bars around the ski areas to promote the black devil.
I give up, that e will have to wait until after my nape
What e? I'll help you look.
What are you trying to find ruby?
that is a riot!
middle e
maybe too many grappas at lunch
great lunch, however, pintadeau with a foie gras sauce
en 4/6 I think comes from that one.
en4/6 abbr of what you find under car bonnets.
does it start like the guy that drives the train? then plural
or should I say under the hood? ;)
thank you both. NOW I can take my (much-needed_ nap!
*poof*
sweet dreams
see you later ruby and Hi gramma.
Hi FMitch 8)
If you could do it in the past tense, why can't you do it in the present? example being, you can un7/40 but not un6.

bbs...tummy arumbly...gonna make soup
Bye Ardilla!
bye jmc
Hello NB. How are you?
Hi everyone else, too.
howdy hydra
I guess I'll just feel smug about being the only person in this flat to have escaped the bangin' sambuca hangover, legacy of last night.
Hi Hydra!
hi hydra, long time since we saw you
Hiya, Hydra! :) I'm grand thanks - you?
Not so bad, NB.
(Frank had to put on sunglasses to look in the fridge, harhar)
I have been out a lot, so haven't played every day. Oh, that's so funny, NB!
Love your icon. I'd like to get a t-shirt with that on.
poor boy...he will NOT be the only one feeling it today, though.
aw, thanks! I got tired of my own mug staring back at me day after day...
lol,nb,i would not worry about hangovers as the real time to worry is when you never get hangovers no matter what you drink because you have now replaced your blood system with a alcohol system:)
i used to say that i only feel crummy now when i get too much blood in my alcohol system:)
OK...I cannot find my last UN 6/30....clue please?
Just popped in for a quick one, ha ha, as have to go to pet store now to buy some birdseed. Seems I'm feeding every parakeet, magpie, squirrel and sparrow in west London.
well, I wasn't drinking, so no hangover for me! It was the nerdiest night in though - Lord of the Rings drinking game. You do a shot every time there's a close up of the ring, every time someone speaks elvish, every time Legolas looks meaningfully into the distance, every time there's a camp look between Frodo and Sam...
Do you mean one after the 6/40, car?
Yes.
* actually it is after the Un 7/40!
lol nb,we used to watch the bob newheart show and everytime someone said "hi bob" you would take a shot
Ooh, it's hard to clue. Un + what you wear when you don't want to be recognised, minus first three and last letters!
oh...and every time someone talks about the "strength of men" ;) gosh, apparently it happens a lot in LotR. Everyone was trashed before the hobbits even got to Isengard.
That slun
Oops! And I'm not drunk! Was gonna say, it sounds like a fantastic game. Did you invent it?
Oh, I don't think it's original, Hydra ;) it is fun though, everyone gets into the spirit of things. Another rule is, everyone has to have a lord of the rings name - if you call someone by the wrong name, or their real name, you have to drink...it's exhausting!
I must remember it. Now, must dash. Have fun, everyone.
Bye Hydra!
take care, Hydra :)
bye hydra
then we have kids, and no longer need to make up a game to have a drink...:/
thats what you need nb a babby or 2 in the house to keep you busy
yeah .. but then your kids get old ... and you hafta start s
hi all...back to this awful grid
drinking with your kids
Morning Carlee!
Hi Carlee
hmm, I don't know where I might magically acquire one of those, though. I don't think either Frank or I are the right men for the job.
not drinking with the kids, drinking because of the kids lol
morning sis... <giggle>
howdy carlee
I cannot make any sense out of Hydra's clue for the UN. Does anyone have another clue to offer?
hi annie....nb,,,crossy
unfortunate lack of a uterus, you get me? ;)
i am inclined to quit this grid already...i was here until 3 am and got only 48 words
you can adopt nb
oh nb...where there is a will there is a way
3 AM?!?!?!? Carlee?!?!? You need some rest!
i just woke up 30 mins ago...
6 hours...that normal..i only got 2 1/2 the night before
I am one to talk carlee....I have had insomnia all my life!
Clearly it must be a family trait! LOL!
not insomnia....stress... life...
clearly it must be car.
lol Crossy, grand, then I can open myself up to a whole new world of filthy looks. Plus, I think we're both a little young to be thinking of that...
Yup...me too!
sigh,it is sad that same sex couples are still viewed like that over there, here they can marry ,adopt,whatever..but if you smoke you cannot adopt lol!
lol Cross, well I am the conservatives' worst nightmare, really. I'm an atheist immigrant living as part of a mixed-race gay couple. Though...I did quit smoking ;)
good those smoke will kill you
haven't smoked for about, hm, two months now.
good lad
Good for you, NB
going to leave this grid for a while...later dear babblers
ta ;) anyway, I'd better be off to work. later!
Bye NB!
Bye Annie!
cheers
Down to 66....I think I shall list the rest.

ok..so..i now have 50 words and i see NOTHING
37 to go here...
i see sausage
165 to go he4
that's strange, carlee, there's no O in this grid.
no...i have 179 to go
Thank you Beth. I was looking at my gu 6'
gu 6's wondering which one was a pool cleaner. Learned my something new.
carlee, did you make your roasted pumpkin seeds? i was sorting thru recipes last nite and saw one it said 325 until seeds were lightly browned (seeds should be dried first)
i have a wireless set up at home but just use a single printer hard wired to computer #1,if i have something that needs printing on computer number 2,i just send it to #1..not perfect but works for me
I need to print out 250+ return envelopes. My laptop, which is hooked up to the printer, has a different version of MS Word and I cannot get the envelopes to print right. My old computer has the older version of MS Word, but it is not set up to the printer!
veal with stars...surprisingly delicious
Carlee, it is so nice to hear a parent appreciate their kids. There is a woman where I work who has just sent her second of 2 off to college. When asked how she liked her empty nest she said, "I love it. If I'd known it was going to be this good, I would have gotten rid of them a long time ago." Doesn't exactly warm your heart, does it?
ms word..ewww... i use open office,i love that program!
booooo...that lady
These LU's are a pain in the butt!
gm e
Word processors? Just type everything in TeX!
When we took our oldest to college, we didn't even shut the car off. Sort of a rolling stop, see ya. When we took the youngest of 5 to college, I cried inconsolably for days. Hysterical.
my boy is 16 now...counting the minutes, wife and i are already fighting over what to do with his room;0
you say that now crossy
i have the organ(s), instrument, leg exercise, olympic sport, and the athlete/german pistol as my lus
i miss the houseful of kids
Molly I am sure that lady was speaking "tongue in cheek" but if I can translate she probably means that it is very rewarding to have brought up great kids and to see them move into their own lives while being free again to enjoy oneself.
i know..then i spend the rest of my life inviting him and his wife and kid over for dinner
brb...need more soup
I love children also.
if you get grandkids, so far no joy on that front, grandchild & i will be in diapers at the same time at this rate
molls..i am never happier then when my kids are here..and their friends as well
lol, then you can save money and buy in bulk!
i have too much fun with them around being complete and utter dorks :)
car lu7 stringed instrument maker
read
lu 6 more lu4
I need lu 6/33; lu 6/21 (the first) and lu 7/36
off you go carlee
lute
and off again
sorry...buttermilk pancakes with ur choice of choc hip, blueberry or plain in the pb
carlee is banished to the planet of puppies with weak bladders!
choc chip* even
Nice thought reparteena, but this woman truly does not like her kids. She has all but disowned her oldest. Very odd person.
hey...i have 53 words now tho
I can't get any of those to work!!!!
now crossy that is just mean
must get list 42 words left and not a clue
sorry for her then.
I need help on the first re 7/32 please
there is a y that sounds like my incorrigible offsprings favorite college liquor
Beth...please elaborate on the lute maker?
i'm back
stick a cons in the middle of more lu4
I thought it was a stringed instrument maker. Mostly guitar makers are referred to as thus.
passing car a plate of pancakes....
we have a woman in this area, she was a real estate agent in the city and she loathed her adult kids.she just passed at 72 and what she just was leave her entire 12 million in a trust fund to care for her dog..the dog gets the money, the house everything. the kids will be allowed to care for the dog and house at minimum wage, but when the dog passes all assets are sold and the entire remaining money goes to the dog shelter
i just found my first 7
yes molly, strings i read a series of books involving a lu7
I am so confused!
I can top that Cross. My former brother-in-law's father had so much disdain for his son, that he left him nine cents in his will. How cold is that?
i cannot imagine being like that with my kids....i cannot conceive
lu7 is stringed instrument maker, if you have lu4, lu6 is more of it. to make lu7 stick a consonant in the middle of lu6
my ex's father left my ex 1.00
If anyone reads the Alex Delaware novels by Jonathan Kellerman, Alex's girlfriend is an lu7.
thats the one i read molly :) love that word
my sister hates our father,to the point of once saying to him that she will piss on his grave.i said to my da "thats ok,just make sure you are buried at sea then" :)
See, I find that more insulting than leaving nothing. What a way to leave this life.
re 7/32 anyone # 1?
oooh..am up to 60 words...169 to go
dont have it yet ru
Beth, I'm reading the one about eco-terrorism now and am totally bored by it. Kellerman must have been having an off month when he wrote that one.
it is more insulting....at least in canada....if u have been left nothing..u can contest a will...if u have actually been left something...u have no legal legs to stand on when it comes to contesting the will
I have lu 4/5 the instrument. Then lu 6/21 which is a protein. That already has the cross letter in it, so how do I add it to make the lu 7?
whats the title ?
Hi Ruru! I don't have it either!
add a chair in the middle car
a chair?
a chair worth 2 points to be exact
lu4 is instrument. my lu4 sounds lu6 than yours does car
Oh goodness...I finally got it. TY
OK. all I need now is the very first LU word...the lu 6/33
i would never contest a will,i mean it is not right when you watch 3 or 4 adult kids fighting over the money like a bunch of vulture fighing over a carcass,if i am left nothing so be it
The Kellerman book I'm reading is "Evidence".
when you car needs oil it needs lu****
finally got the lu7/36
well..i think in the case of the real estate agent....i would be so inclined...if she was that horrid to her kids...
havent read that one yet - but i will avoid it based on your review, i must finish what i start so i have read some real dogs, dont need to add another to the list
Beth, I can't get it to take it! I tried it a bunch of time!
i would just say no for caring for her mutt and go off to live my life such as it is
do not need her laughing at me from the grave
sorry car youre right i never even looked
car, it doesn't work for me either.
it is an extra word in licketys it takes on his list not in babble
how does lickety come up with the list?
Oh ok then
he must have a program that he runs thrua slightly different version of enable
so does lickety's have the same word count?
lickety has 1 extra
Oooh! Got the other 9!!!
Do share?
sharing is caring...lol
Plural of what a baby is doing when it is getting its molars
ty
tyvm car got both words
After finding every single box of Bisquick on the grocery store shelf past it's use by date, I just made my own dry buttermilk pancake mix.
ok..i give up...i do not see any words here...this one just twists the wrong way for my brain
I only have 14 left, but I am just stuck. I need to go get ready anyway, so I will come back later to finish! Have a GREAT day everyone!
bye car
I'm finding more words that don't really exist in this grid than I am finding ones that do.
cu car.ee
just realized i was calling you both car
We are used to it Ardilla! That is why we get so confused!
Funny story. During the filming of "Fried Green Tomatoes" the director realized he was dealing with two leads named Mary. Mary Louise Parker and Mary Stuart Masterson. So he called them Lou and Stu.
that's funny, molly
Down to 7...and I am really going to go now!
ru still here?
*poof*
bye car.ee
We could call our "Cars" EE and Lee. : P
oh no...crumbling oreos :(

He's doing very well...walking now and beginning to say a few words, too!

Nope, still seeing the poppy for some reason. Queen is 12. A very gentle horse. Great for nice, long rides in the mountains.

var, stay away from your iron! And the kitchen!
Don't know how to refresh on my Mac. Went out and came back in.
Don't know how to refresh on my Mac. Went out and came back in.

I am actaully seriously considering "free" leasing mine out to someone who can use them more than I

Does anyone here have a Mac? Is there a refresh on a Mac?
What browser?
un + ***** beaver
refresh for what trentsnana?
ty
I had to log out and log back in to refresh trents
You know this is a hard grid when the words and the clues just elude you.
Safari
I will try logging out and back in....
under the little apple thingy there is a full-fledged refresh/reboot option.
it's not the mac that refreshes, but your browser .. it's the curvy arrow at the top left, right under where it says safari
th 6/21 ??
STID!!!
for safari there is a "reset" on the menu under "safari"
if you want to reboot, click once on the apple sign and scroll down to restart
I don't show that under my apple!!
my version of safari has the curvy arrow at the right in the URL bar where the http thingy goes
hey ardilla, como estas?
th6/21 caffeine (alt. name)
muy bien, y tu?
bien, except I am working on getting research for my master's project and it is slow going.
i m lost on that clue df
good luck
are you in Spain now?
trent, stid is right .. i was thinking the arrow .. that's a firefox thing. if you click once on Safari, there's a little menu underneath. click on Reset Safari
okay, all set now
yes, been in country for about a month now

Thank you for asking that TNana. That term gets thrown around here all the time and I know there are people who have no clue what it means.
k, thnx
i never finish, i just meant the words were flowing for me
I felt really stupid but then looked it up and it made a big difference
10 to go
go nan!
actually, a gerund is a nounal derived from a verb.
i have to finish tonight; i won't have time in the morning before work
It just so happens in English that (almost) all gerunds end in -ing.
well that clears things up, dfm, hahahah
or a verbal derived from a noun? *grin* it's an in-between word for sure!
in French a gerund ends in -ant (most of the time)
hi all.
hello m9
diage
oops.
hey m
hi m9
did it work, m?
as you can see I'm monkeying!

Hello Babblers
the one that got me was the latin lamb -- we can have french, so why not latin?
why can't you re-et4 something?
that was another one
sorry was a more standard on this morn, but if you can make it for tomorrows breakfast,i shall pull out all the stops.then again i just put on a lovely pork roast with garli and other secret herbs and spices, taters, onions, carrots and will do a yourkshire pudding...
This grid is SO slanted towards French/British words and spellings. And I'm still flummoxed about a Star Ship Enterprise crew member being acceptable. Forget the lame definition.
only rs and ts left
other day it was all french then before that is was celtic lol
Hi wht, almost missed you. This chat log is moving at the speed of sound.
hi wht
Hi Molly, and I am only paying half attention to it as I work the grid.
howdy wht
I think the "wee wee" grid totally took the Babble cake.
wee wee grid?
Good idea on the half paying attention wht. The clues today have been more confusing than the actual words to find.
There was a grid a little bit ago that had the word weewee in it.
wow...
Several times Ardilla. It was, yeah...wow.
i hate the cws, cause i never think of them untill i have been driven half mad
Okay then, you are now, officially, Cwosshair. : P
lol,what scwabbs calls me
Well, we could all just morph into Elmer Fudd-speak. Kill the wabbit!!!
don't say THAT around 'scwabbs'
Let's all go weewee by the tweetwee.
weally?
bye everyone -- should be getting organized for heading south for the winter instead of enjoying the chat -- back at the flip :)
Oh, bless me Father for I have sinned. Scrabs, that's just a song, not a sentiment.
bye nan
clue for re6/30 pls?
ahh the joy of being able to run away from the aproaching doom
was that the clue?
the picture fell, so i re6 it.
ty
hi, babblers!
name that proper noun! starter of protestant reformation
luther!
ding ding ding!
what did i win?
three dings...
:P
a handmade guitar, crafted by a lu7
i do not follow the catholic/prdestant/lutheran wars...do not get me wrong,i love god and his son,it is just some of the fan clubs are strange....
I feel sad that Catholicism has the pope, because I never thought that I'd see an old man in a dress and not approve.
well, it was an accident. luther just wanted some stuff fixed, and then when people didn't want to fix the stuff, well, everyone got their backs up and it turned into a big ol' mess.
only the ts remain
34 of them
oh that fishing club thing nb? did not know it was still going;))
fishing club? you lost me...
Anyone have a clue for the first un7 & un6?
anyone got the bottom i ?
but one thing applies to life and tending bar nb,never discuss politics or religeon for too long
un7 had an interview but didn't get the job
so lets talk food in general, bacon or sex... lol
Got that one Hursh. Looking for Un7/40 and un6/30.
all safe topics
there's another un7/40?
Silly question, Crossy. Sex WITH bacon, of course. And don't deny you haven't been there.
or i should pay atention to these fine clues...
unmotivated
i admit nothing,i deny everything;)
a
i will in7 a house when my mom dies
Oh NB!!! Love your old man dress comment. And that comes from someone who has been mired in the Cathoic religion all her life. They aren't all bad. Just misguided sometimes. Keep in mind that the Catholic Church has the second biggest portfolio on Wall Street. That says a lot.
Got that one too.
thanks ardilla - i wanted that word and didn't think i could get it, duh!!
lol
sorry...temp lost power
brb...gotta check on dryer
and thank you welki, i just figured out the word you clued.
lol, thanks Molly :) of course, I have nothing against the church itself, really - but if the pope has decided to dislike me, I insist upon making it mutual ;)
Cross, I agree. Some of the fan clubs are very, very strange. And don't walk the talk of the people they claim to worship.
who's looking for that ut7? found it ... it has to do with ~~lady parts~~ related to ut5
yw hurshy
NB, once I got divorced, the church decided to "not recognize" me. I have no worries about that. I still recognize them.
i'm back...the power he4 is so weird
Serious, Molly? It's things like that I don't understand...why ever not?! Mind you, the church thinks I'm pretty damn badass. I'm "insiduous and dangerous" ;)
trying to dry my uniform and the breaker pops when the dryer stopped
i'm so scared of you, NB :P
insiduous? that's so badass it's not even a word ;)
insidious??..cool:)
LOL. Insidious. Baaad typos!
Yes. You're so terrifying, NB. I was under the impression that God forgives all our sins. Apparently, the Pope and the Priests aren't required to follow those rules.
hello all. Hope everyone is well.
hi rth
howdy rd
hi red
Time to poof out and clean another bathroom and do some more laundry. Later. Maybe. *POOF*

i'd like to put mine on judi's list :)
too bad she could have had a go at my loo:)
30 to go...all ts
oh me too...I could really give the tub a scrub, but...Babble is so much more critical.
Oh ardilla, I thought you had 30 words starting with ts....and I wondered.
you got it, red. after all, who hasn't closed their eyes and seen a babble grid? can't say the same about a bathtub
I admit to having had a few visions of bathtubs, steaming with hot hot water and epsoms and bubbles...
sorry rth
i had the same vision, but with long smooth legs rising up out of the bubbles...
I have the legs, not long but they are there.
it's OK, I thought wow there are 30 words that start with ts?
i am still trying to figure out the un who interviewed for a job and why they didn't get it before my client gets he**
th5 is a word, though
brb
actually, there are 59 words that start with T...
* popping in for a few * hi all
Well I got that from that jmc, the issue I had was that the hi4 attached to the un doesn't count as a word.
wb pini
but not ts...thank goodness!
thankfully, red
howdy pini
thx ardi; hi crossy
hi jmc, red, et al
hi4/5 and its pt are both words
i tried an lu 6 ( first lu word) bit it won t take it Help ??
indeed ardilla, but if you add the un to the hi4,5 it does not compute.
the lu6 is an extra word in lickety's list
it's an extra word in lickety's...lubing doesn't work for this grid
think pini
yeah, th5's a 7 but not a 6
yah, enable
ahem *trying really hard not to say it*
not say what?
what i said at 2:08
this is not exactly an easy grid.
gotcha! ;)
it definitely has its moments, red...

Ardilla!!! I haven't aged a year since I turned 29! It's the only way to go.

What is the most anyone has gotten yet?
each day brings a new puzzle
I mean for this one
you can look at rankings to see how people do but the most you can get today is 229 words
We try to complete the grid ramjam...but I certainly didn't my first time
Oh my goodness!!!!
anyone who says fireworks or some variation has completed the grid
how are you doing so far ram?
32 words
it took me a couple of months before i finished a grid
and I thought I was doing pretty good, lol!
wtg ram!
the tile stats give you clues as to where the words are
four or more lettes, right?
You are ramjam!!
T 0/25 means there are 25 words that start with that T
what does it mean, for example:8/34?
yes four or more and the word stats tells you that there are 9 8 letter words
it means you have 8 of the 34 words that come from that letter
looks like the T in the fifth column
*puts on trench coat*
Oh, thank you.. That is very personalized
i will clue from the pb now -- hope the candles are still lit
it is a very personal but also a very community game
what do the little numbers on the cubes themselves mean?
Candle still burning jmc...I'll call the cabana boys...
we can race each other (and do from time to time in a friendly manner) but mostly we help each other out
How much the letter is worth ramjam
the numbers tell you how many points that letter is worth
oh, thank you all so much
ty jilly my shoulders ache and i could use a massage
happy to help ram
And at the end of each grid, do we get to see the answers?
We are happy to help those joining this addiction!!
now that you have your feet wet there is one more thing to let you know about which is lickety's list
They are posted next day
Oh/
*settles into the sofa of the pb*
Oh?
*hands jmc chocolates*
if you look under the tiles stats you will see friends of babble and one of them listed is lickety
see it
if you open lickety in another window and have it along side, lickety will list the words in alphabeteical order giving the first two letters, the number of letters and the number of points.
it took me forever to understand that 4 letter words the points are the face value and for 5 letter they are doubled and 6 tripled etc
but as you copy your words from your word list using licketies bulk add at the bottom you get to see where you are missing words
I will definitely have to try this again NOT right before bed when I am exhausted!
finally *groans softly as the cabana boy works his magic fingers* the grid changes at midnite central US time each night
so you have 24 hours to succeed!
When able we gather for the change...we call it a flip
Nice to meet you all, good night
good night ram hope to see you tomorrow
Niters ramjam, same here...sweet dreams!
This better stop the Alzheimer's that's all I've got to say!
and since i really must be up before the sunrise tomorrow for the silly meeting i think I will leave it with 37 left
me too jmc...see you tomorrow!!
it is very good brain exercise ram!
WOW, that's pretty impressive.
bye all

mpittore, i live in potomac. we are almost neighbors. and we are the same age.
hi all again -- half asleep now after gorging on cauliflower cheese
(plus wine)

72 left and no hope again.
yw reparteena :)
Yes, mkg
i have 132 left. so really no hope. but my goal is half if over 150 words
Hi, jilli
gee you are so cute and so young.
to see me go to minkagoldstein.com.
Aww, thanks!
mkg...I have many friends in potomac....wish we would have bought there back in 1985...I am so disappointed with our neighborhood...but I make it our castle inside and our yard.
mpittore, i am a realtor. so which neighborhood are you in? sorry you are disappointed. my husband works at NIH so we always lived close to where he worked. so silver spring seemed like too far away. but it is just luck that we are here. i know many others who say what you do that they wish they were here.
well thank you...I usually don't take good photos but my husband took this in our livingroom...I'm 62...I eat alot of pickled things maybe it preserved me a bit! LOL
any clues for the u on left column? or the i on bottom line?
watched a fooball game earlier, now watching hockey players + figure skaters competing in ice dancing
I have a cousin in Rockville MD
hi jilli.
i would consider the in6 to be 2 words
now that is a cute idea. eating pickled things can preserve us. hmmm must consider that.
i think i will go eat a pickle.
need a clue reparteena
Hi all. Anyone have the lu 6/33?
i got it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm sure you have no interst, but I vividly remember our figure skating coach when my son was 5, saying that figure skating lessons would be a great foundation for hockey and not a sissy thing for a boy. This competition makes it evident -- the hockey players skate well, but figure skaters do better.
good im a lousy cluer
in 7 when a parent dies the child in*****s what the parents owned
wow mkg...nice website...really nice comments from your clients...I am retired from NIH
ty mpittore. maybe we can have lunch one day? i would love to meet people from this lovely chat and game.
mkg...hopefully the parents planned their estate well!
lu 6/33 is the extra word Lickety had -- "lubing" -- it doesn't count.
ah--thanks, jilli--I was going crazy with that one!!
but i am traveling til after thanksgiving. and daughter gets married dec. 19th. so how about after that?
yw creeta
why doesnt lubing work? it is a word.
enable doesn't recognise it, although Lickety's dictionary did
i hate enable. so often when i click the ? it says no word found.
well still need clue for the u word for the u on left column.
mkg, if you then go to google, sometimes there is a definition
sounds nice...we are both fairly busy don't know how I found time to work...hence why I am usually only on at night...my husbands parents require lots of our time one in a home not doing well and his mom is "out there" but still driving and wondering who is hitting her car because she surely didn't hit anything...oh my...we travel alot have a place at lake anna, va, go to calif. will spend March in Florida.
u + give voice to an aria
i got it. ty.
wow you are busy mpittore.
well lets try to remember to plan for next year to meet. ok?
ut5-12 please.....thanks
mpittore, i am sorry you are bogged down with parents but i miss mine so much and my husbands that you are blessed to have them at your age. so enjoy them as much as possible. ours are all gone. but thankfully we have 6 kids and 15 grandkids already. and more to come for sure.
gapeach think where a baby grows in a womans body. shorten it.
tulus
mkg sometimes they have "meet-ups" but the one near us was in DC...I was a bit shy to meet with people I didn't know but they all seemed sooo nice...but DC is not a place I frequent anymore...used to work there at Pepco until NIH in 1977...gone a few times but with others not alone...I'm usually so extroverted!
oops. sorry
Thanks much, mkg.
mpittore we can meet close by.
where in SS do you live?
just want the area. dont need specifics.
i live near cabin john mall. tuckerman and seven locks. in "poor" potomac as my hubby says.
I'm back...my neighbor stopped by so I fed her two bowls of chili
mkg...my mom is 83 and such a wonderful mom...I was blessed with fabulous parents..lost my dad in 1990...but my poor husband was not so lucky...his parents are stranger than strange...but we try to do as much as we can they need lots of help but they sometimes get mad, yell, don't talk to their kids, family...I think his mom had issues as a child that were never resolved...thank god my mom treats him like a son. I am near Kemp Mill...Forest Knolls...it's becoming North Langley Park I always tell my hubby!
oh i know forest knolls very very well. i have sold in there. yes it has changed a lot. but it is still a convenient location and i dont think it is really anywhere close to langly park as to crime, is it?
parents are always a challenge.
a clue for the li6 27 after the ladies fineries...please?
need one more word and half way and off to sleep. and ty for the clue pav. got the ladies fineries.
dont have word after. sorry pav.
night all. sweet dreams. night mpittore.
sounds good mkg...no our crime rate is not so bad...but I wish people kept their homes up...the people are nice but not into home decor and landscaping...so that effects property values very negatively...but my son and DIL are in the neighborhood also so I am close to grandkids...I have one son w 3 grands + DH son w/1 grand...that's all for us...
evening all...
li6/27 = biLI*****l
