good here, Sami
Doing okay, sami. Thanks for asking.
From a distance your icon looks like a distinguished gent wearing shades, BabbleRabble. The close up is less flattering! Good morning/evening all.
Hello, Haz.
Hello. This is getting to be the quiet time in the chat log.
Good morning Haz :-)
Hi Sami, Diz, Haz, and BabbleRabble. My icon today is the two feet of snow we are currently experiencing.
Good morning, Sally and Soodle. We are not alone.
I see BabbleRabble is feeling cheerful!
That's a lot of snow, Soodle. Hopefully your own feet aren't that cold?
Obviously this grid will be a doddle, already have two greyed squares, top left and top right :-))
Nice and snug indoors, Haz. But the roads are very very dangerous. My little car is iced in!
2 foot of snow....cannot imagine it!!, but I know you guys/gals get it.
I'll find it hard to match your pace, Sally.
Morning all Have been burried in the grid and then doing emails.
:-)
I love snow, but only to go an visit.
We haven't had as much as that, Soodle, but more is forecast to fall this afternoon. I'd like to see green grass again, please.
Hello, FM.
Agreed, Haz. I feel like I'm living a black and white movie.....everything is monochrome.
Hi Haz.
Hallo FM. We have a hoar frost today, very beautiful but minus 7 when I went out to chickens.
Haz, plenty of green grass here, the Lawn is over grown and we have had rain these past 6 days...so much for an Aussie summer...LOL
Blimey! but that must have been beautiful.
Hello everyone.
Hello, lynxxx.
Evening lynxxx
Hi Lynn, FM and Sally :-)
Yes, it is spectacular, all the trees look so (checks grid anxiously) eerie.
lol
Here we have a chorus of crickets (not the locusts yet) singing after a very warm day
hey Lynnxx, what is weather like in your area?, rain everyday here.
I think my brain is just not tuned into the grid this last week, every word has had to be forced out.
although somehow I did stumble over the 10 today, go figure!
All babblers would wish to em7 you on that find!
Been hottish (low 30s) with daily downpours for the last few days - know what you mean about long grass! You are not in the flooding parts DizG?
ty Haz!
You're welcome, Sally.
oh thank you Haz got 7 and 8 from that
You're welcome.
phone
the nu7 is a strange one.
Hi everyone!
Hi Brookie :-)
Hello, Brookie.
Hi soodle, hi haz!
hiya Brookie
Hi lynxxx!
Okay, so I gotta vent. I was dumped by my b.f. last night.
Hey Brookie Anymore public speaking planned?
Back from phone. Oh that's rough Brookie.
hmmpphh - who needed him anyway!
Just normal speeches in my Toastmsters club for awhile. The next contest isn't till the spring. Hi sally, and thanks.
I sensed something was wrong for the last couple weeks and finally asked him about it.
((Brookie))
Just remember men are like buses, there'll be another along soon.
No lynxx not in the flooding parts, have friends that are but things are good for them. They are totally stocked up if need be.
Sorry to hear that, Brookie. His loss.....
That's true. It's just that I had finally found someone who was kid-friendly and whom my parents liked.
He's clearly too picky.
Well when I was younger and dating, it was always a bad sign if my parents liked them :-)
good one Sally
Were you with him long, Brookie?
LOL, Sally. Unfortunately, my parents are normally right about these things. I was with him for just 5 months, but he seemed like a keeper.
Well, he sure won't find another Brookie. Like I said....His loss!
I've given up on the dating game. Decided that solo works for me but I am a lot older than you Brrokie so don't give up.
I think I'm also upset (and sorry to keep going on about this) because I had taken a vacation day today to celebrate his birthday. If he knew he was going to end it, he could have spared me the vacation day.
Okay, I'll stop talking about this now. I appreciate everyone's support, though. It means a lot!
*passes candy and chocolate and champagne to Brookie so she can enjoy the day anyway*
Good idea FM. Yes, have a really good "me" day Brookie.
Oh and a blankie and some tissues too :)
Thanks FM! Hey, it's a good thing I lost 15 lbs in that weight-loss challenge... now I'll be extra enticing to my new suitors!
LOL you sure will girl!
And something scented and some nice candles for that long luxurious bath.
At the risk of being rude, I have always found that the best way to get over one man, is to get under another one!
You guys are really nice.
Not rude at all, soodle. Very true.
lol soodle!
*giggle*
(Feeling much better.)
Phantom: skull. As in, my ex has a thick skull.
lol had forgotten to look for words. But I had better get on with some work for now. Happy Babbling !
ttyl, FM!
Bye, FM. I'm off as well.
bye for now FMA.
Have a good day, FM
Sorry, phantom A appeared there.
bye, haz!
And bye Haz.
Bye Haz Thanks for the em words
bye Haz & FM
BBL
bye lynxxx!
bye lynxxx
(((Brooke)))) Boys are dopey.
Thanks, Molly. He seemed so level-headed, too.
Obviously, I was mistaken.
Brookie, men are only for Christmas, but Babblers are for life.
Awww....
Brooke, I suggest that you spend the day you took off for him, doing something very nice for YOU.
HI. I just read back sorry Bookie
Thanks, herin. I will spend part of the day sleeping, as I've been up since 2:30 a.m. Plus, my eHarmony subscription hasn't expired yet (though it had been inactive for several months), so I'll conjure up some new interest.
Well think about it Brookie. Where else would there be someone to chat to 24/7, chocolate on demand with not a thought of your weight, jokes and hugs available at all times depending on your need? Would you get that in a mere man?
I have some excellent news that will cheer you up.
Very good point, Sally! Plus, no one is more internationally minded and culturally diverse as Babble!
What is it, herin?
How right you are, Sally. I never thought of it like that, but you are 100% right.
OK no squeeling. I have a job.
Squeal!!!!!! Tell us about it!
Yabba dabba doo, Herin!!!
Oh herin! (very quiet squeal). What is the job?
Yay Herin!!
Same as what I ahve been studying. Legal Sec Trainee job
morning gang
When do you start?
And hi, legend!
Next year
hi brookie
Hi Legend. Herin, I am absolutely deee-lighted for you.
That's great! Plus, "next year" is right around the corner!
hi soodle
I start in Feb and I am currently doing a Monday volunteer data base job
Brilliant herin. What a great way to start the year.
stats fro the 10 if pos please
for the 10
ME 10/98. Jenny
Oooh, I haven't been paying attention to the grid. Oh, there is a 10! Sorry, can't help you on this one!
<------- Multi-tasking!
Soodle, you are so funny! I'm not the typical female in that say... I stink at multitasking! It's amazing if I can get through my day AND feed my children at the same time!
Thanks everone. I have to before my PC over cooks
I have a game running in the back ground.
When I say multi-tasking, I mean, keeping one eye on the grid, and one eye on the chog. It certainly has nothing do to with housework or feeding kids....
It was nice hearing from you!
I know what you meant. I was just joking.
Just take care. I have a very heavy game running in the back ground and it is making my pc very very warm
:-)
this grid is tougher than it looks
Yes it is. It's especially hard at 5:50 a.m. EST.
i just yawned so hard it hurt my jaw
LOL!
It is not flowing. Listing already, and the AL words are mostly weird.
i have 78 and stuck....unusual for me
You're 10 ahead of me, legend, which is even more impressive considering your sore jaw.
why does my mind go completely blank when given stats like me10/98? I can't even think of a 10 lettered word beginning with me - please could I have a clue?
smile....i thnk i will live...its just a flesh wound..:)
sorry jenny don't have it yet.
Nor do I have the 10 = third letter anyone?
It feeds off the ME 7/40, which is a bit of the brain. ME, opposite of bright, and vowel....
The me 10 builds from a 7 and 8 but I can't work out a decent clue yet.
I hope you got the ME 7..... if so, stick one of the Kennedy brothers at the end of it for the 10.
Awesome clues, soodle!
ty for the me7 soodle.
wtg Soodle
and for the 10!
me10...the end sort of rhymes with how a snake or a belly dancer moved - un...etc
YW. :-)
oh good one lynxxx!
managed 3 with that clue soodle, thanx
phone
SOODLE! Just got on and my first 3 words are the 7,8,10 thanks to you!
Just pop the cheque in the post, Champ....LOL
Yeah, Champ, I already owe soodle some $$ too.
No problem...feel ike quitting while I'm ahead here!
"Soodlebum Ireland" should get to me.....
Sure...it's a small country...everyone must know you! ;)
Babble is apparently some money-making scheme for Soodle. It's a good thing we all like her.
How 'bout "World Famous Soodlebum Ireland"? Perfect!
The queen is in the counting house, counting our her money......
and thanks from me
Okay, so I've now returned to eHarmony after a long hiatus. I reactivated my membership a FULL 3 hours ago... and I'm still not seeing results! Shouldn't all American men be up at 3 a.m. just waiting to hear from me? Hmmmph!
Oh...I guess I needed to use my "brain" to get the 7, 8 and 10. Thanks for the clues.
Clearly they are all getting their beauty sleep, Brookie. And stocking up on their energy levels, for what lies in store for them.
Patience child, don't forget you have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your Prince.
A wise person once told me that you usually find what you're looking for when you stop looking.
I found my second husband at a bus stop. As I said, there is always another bus!
All very good advice, and I've heard that too. It's strange, but I tend to meet people when I'm in a receptive mode.
That's a sweet story, sally!
LOL Sally. You make him sound like a lost umbrella!
Where did you lose your first one, you careless person! :)
My car had broken down and he offered me a lift. I thought (as I frequently tell him) that he looked old and harmless. I would normally NEVER take a lift with a stranger!
Your car breaking down was a good thing, then!
I left the first one in the left luggage. As far as I know he is still there and unclaimed :-)
sure Sally, sure
I divorced my first one and then fell in love with the bulder that was doing wok on my apartment.
i was up at 5 waiting to hear from you brookie..:)
Chinese builder FM?
Well then, legend, you're a very smart man. :-)
hah hah
ROFL Sally
and im debating eharmony here
Clever FM - a tradie!
Don't debate eharmony. It can't talk back to you.
Have you tried eHarmony before?
Is eHarmony an online dating agency? Should we just cut out the middle man and put Brookie in touch with TheLegend?
B was a great craftsman.
lol...nice comeback brookie
and no...ive not done eharmony
Legend - meet Brookie. Brookie - meet The Legend. Now you both have been introduced. Its up to you from here....
mmm, checks profiles. Ages are about right.
thanks soodle
Thanks, soodle. I'll send you some more $$.
Are you good with children, Legend?
*wishes that Lgend would change his icon - a guy in a vest is so not good*
dont have any of my own...but im the fave uncle to 8 nieces and nephews
Very good answer, legend.
Wouldn't this be fun if it really happened? Has there ever been a Babble romance?
:)
Just had a look at The Legend's pic. Notwithstanding the vest, is elbowing Brookie out of the way.....
lol soodle.
lol
Pushing soodle to the back..
There has been one
Handbags at dawn............
Yes there was a few years ago Sally and UK one and a US one
but neither worked out.
Oh sad.
Okay, so I'll put myself out there. If you check out the link on my profile, the YouTube video has my full name. If you're not scared away from the video, track me down. I'm easily Google-able.
im going to do just that..:)
Bravo Brookie!!
Oh, and I purposely look frumpy in the video due to the topic of my speech. So don't hold that against me. :-)
*Wipes away a sentimental te4*
Oh my! I wonder are we witnessing the beginning of something wonderful....
Sitting here grinning like a Cheshire cat.
well we have had some babble weddings and quite a few babble babies.
Ssshh, let's tiptoe off and leave them to it.
My fellow Babblers make me smile.
Are babble babies called Bablets?
lol soodle.
lol
They'd be babble boomers.
Does this mean I need to build a chreche in the PB?
BaBabes! BBL...going out for a bit...thanks again for the great start Soodle!
Bye Champ. Have a good day!
im joining toastmasters..:)
Bye champ!
bye Champ
Drumming fingers on keyboard waiting for the return of The Legend.....
Isn't she great Legend!
Well if nothing else this has cheered up you two (and the rest of us).
Toastmasters is really cool. You can talk about anything you want, and people have to listen.
Herin got a job, and sparks are flying with Brookie & The Legend. This is a GOOD day!
I'm Brookie's unofficial cheerleader!
AND I still have vacation today!
Soodle if you haven't seen Brookie's 'talk' you are missing a great laugh.
Oh I watched a couple of weeks ago, FM. Absolutely brilliant.
:)
Thanks so much!
Frankly, I'm a tad peeved. The Legend is going to fall for her, now, and not give a thought to poor old Soodle, languishing away. Bah. Foiled again.
I think she's nearer than you are soodle :-)
what a hoot! Brava, Brookie!!
Although, my knowledge of US geography being what it is, that might not actually be true :-(
Thank you so much!
How close, geographically, are you two?
Actually, I just googled myself, and there are more Brooke Grubb's than I thought. My email is delawarebrookie@gmail.com. Only if you want to say, hi.
I guess we're a few hours away, driving.
Hey, just a friendship is good, if nothing else. Don't knock it.
If you don't want to email me, I'm sure soodle would be happy to fly out to meet you.
im dropping you an email right now..:)
did you do a Paperless sketch?
:-)
Mustering as much dignity as I can manage.... I concede defeat!
Yes, I did that too. My coworker and I put that together in a rush. Purposely corny.
my name is Chris, btw.....
and very gracefully done Soodle.
but you can call me Sir
lol
How about Sir Legend?
Soodle can take consolation in all the money she gets from her fellow babblers.
that works..:)
Hands up all those in the chog who are grinning all over their faces right now.
Me!!!
nah.
Spoilsport FM.
Sorry but I will get my hat out if there is a wedding.
Replying to email right now...
:)
Thought that was being saved for the Bill'nKatie one.
I'm just too jaded with relationships
tiger blew a 5 stroke lead....and lost....cant say i feel all that sorry for him
personally that is - not on babble or anywhere else.
Fireworks here! Chris & Brookie.... if anything develops from this......Me and Sally & FM MUST be kept in the picture. I am feeling like a benign maiden aunt in the presence of all this romance!
Sprite will be pleased that there are 5 K words :-)
Again, I completely forgot about the grid. No comments about multitasking, soodle! I was too busy sending an email!
Congrats Soodle!
congrats Soodle
And congrats, soodle!
Thanks all. Anybody need a soodle-clue before I go?
Congrats soodle. Eek! Still have 76 to find here.
not for me thanks, am done.
Yeah, just some quick clues for the 117 words I have left. And you get to guess which ones I'm missing. :-)
congrats too FM
Not for me thanks, just plodding through.
I'll be off, so. Have a great day everybody, and thanks for chat. Poof
Toodles Soodle :)
Belated congrats to FM, and bye soodle!
yawning too much here...goodnight all
Goodnight lynxxx
... time for lunch. and good night lynxxx.
back....:)
Enjoy, FM.
Any news from LizSark about her dog, Oscar?
Not that I've noticed in the chog, Scrabbler.
TY, Sally.
But I haven't seen her in the chog for ages, we must be on at different times.
I am laughing because a mistyped word turned out to be a real word. I love when that happens.
Yup :-) Also when you try a made-up word at random and it works.
Gotta go now and get ready for work. Have a great day, everyone!
Bye Brookie. You too!
Bye Brooke
Hi and bye, Scrabbler!
30 found, now off to work.
bye brookie
parcel, brb
not quite good morning; it'w after lunch, but hello
hi ruby!
it's raining and the nastiest (slipperiest|) parts of the snow and ice are goen, but it's still pretty white out there
I only fell once!
Be careful there ruby. Was minus 7 when I went out to do chickens this morning and is still below freezing.
I wish I could go to work; retirement isn't all it's cracked up to be!
Things must be bad if you wish that! Aren't you glad you don't have to turn out looking smart in weather like this though?
good morning..well all my appts are canceled today. snow up to my ying-yang and blowing and drifting road conditions with poor-nil visability...soooo i must stay home and babble;)))))
{{crossy}}
((ruby))
item
Hi crossy!
whoops, sorry
why ty ruby
howdy sally
sorry crossy, phone rang. Wasn't ignoring you.
crossy, I am not really here, but I am glad to see you. Please check out my icon, which I swear to the heavens, I found on my computer, after secondo was messing with it. Did you call her or something?
awww..we get to stay home, byt we live within walking distance of the school and it is open today:))) my boy has the longest face at this moment;))))
looking trif...
LOL!!
hello ttrif, how are you doing?
Crossy, make some snow ice cream for when he comes home from school
maple syrup
really crappy ruby. really. depressed, and not dealing well with some recent revelations that I am just not ready to discuss. it's why I haven't chogged lately
{{{hugs}}} anyway Trif.
((trif))
dammit. knew I shouldn't have chogged....crying. dammit
trif, I can understand as this is a crappy time for me, too. If yo would like to "talk" privately, my e-mail is" nelliekelley50@yayhoo.com and I am always here
and those bacon cheerleaders rock!
I know what you mean....I'm on the verge, too
I think it's better to cry.....
{{{ruby}}}
wanna hug, crossy?
"crossy stands ready to offer bear hugs as needed...
I was so angry with husband yesterday, that I finally said something. Very rare for me. I was right, but he got angry
I'm glad you said something, ruby. Better to get it out than bottle it up sometimes.
my wife holds nothing back, she is a firm believer in instant karma i think....:/
he put cinders where he had to walk, and ignored my path. I trusted that they were there and, of course, fell. He said it was because I am clumsy!
I am poor at expressing anger
Husband and I very rarely get angry with each other. Occasionally a bit ratty, but not more.
you should take some lessons from my elegant!
he gets very nasty when he's wrong
and he should take some smacking around from our crossy!!!!
my ex husband is now touring ireland (where he is from) with his male roommate, whom he repeatedly looked me in the eye and said he was "just friends" with. It's a lie. He told the children the other night that he and the roomate are actually lovers, and then sent them home to tell me. so, there you go.
eew! he sounds like a real sh** head
Oh Trif! No wonder you are having problems. I would find that so hard to deal with.
so basically, my children had to be the ones to tell me that my whole life has been a lie.
that is so horrible, trif, your reaction is not inappropriate!
and please understand me - I am not upset that he is gay, per se. there is nothing - absolutely NOTHING - wrong with being homosexual. I have HUGE problems with liars and cowards, however. huge.
and your husband probably feels good that he has been honest! what a louse
Not your whole life, Trif. Sometimes people do change in this way I believe. They deny things to themselves until they think it might be too late otherwise. Remember you have some great kids from the relationship.
now I wish I hadn't said anything. It was a weak moment, forgive me.
No, I'm glad you did. It is the beginning of moving on. I feel for your kids too! They have to deal with this. Now if you like we will change the subject.
you know that you can vent here anytime about anything
Trif, loving someone is never a lie. ((((Trif))))
we are here for you trif; we all go through these bad moments and this group is very supportive! NEVER regret what your tell us. We are ultimately sympathetic and understanding.
I just can't stand that he lied to me. over and over. and that he used the kids like that. Rule #1 of getting divorced is don't use the kids as messengers, and it's all he ever does. it's gross.
My husband is very jealous of this support system, but too bad for him!
I agree with you there. One thing from my own experience is that the kids will work this out for themselves, you don't have to play that game.
It's unfair to use the kids that way. I'm sorry to hear that's happening. I know it must be difficult for you Trif.
I have known many gay men who were once married. It strikes me as so, impossible, hurtful? because I know that there are the women who tried so hard to be what he wanted and they never knew that it wasn't possible. All those years of effort....
Your husband is jealous of Babble ruby? How strange.
I just shouldn't talk about it, but it is important as a supportive part of my life. He is very isolated
I know several women that this has happened to and the sense of betrayal is horrendous.
hello kitty
hello
it is a horrible betrayal
I talk about Babble and what goes on to my husband, and about another group I belong to. I'm sure he isn't jealous, but it is no part of his life.
Like your icon kitty :-)
not so strange sally...mins hubby loathes babble and her friends on here..i am lucky that my lady shares my love of babble
thank you, Sally
That happened to me too. I only found out after I left him.
I think that is what gets me, kitty. Why couldn't he just be honest? This whole divorce he has been so acrimonious, with him blaming me for everything under the sun. why not just be honest? He would have found me the most helpful ally. But here I argue with reality. In order for him to have made healthy, appropriate choices, he would have to be healthy. and he is not. Waaaay outside of the orientation piece. He just is not capable of that kind of higher emotional function. So i argue with reality, and wish things were different. waste of time.
when he is feeling cross, he throws up what I'[ve told him about my friends on here
Tony doesn't loathe Babble, he just wouldn't play it or be involved in an online world I think.
but it is painful to think of them together, driving around Ireland, visiting with all the people I loved there. this is interesting, though -- he did NOT stay with his brother, but called him on the phone - from Ireland - to tell him what was going on. Weird. They might see each other today, but I am not sure.
I find this so strange ruby.
I'm sorry Tri - there is a whole world of wasted time and effort behind that 30 second story of your life. Here's to better things to come *raises glass*
((((((((((((jayk))))))))))))))))))))
thank you kitty
It completely sucks. Plus, I felt exceedingly stupid
I think, in the end, many men are hard to fathom. I think they repress their true feelings very early on, probably from bad mothers.
Yeah, raises glass to Trif! At least now you know that it was NOT your fault or anything you did, if you ever doubted it, he was just trying to make you take the blame.
i see so many of my friends become total idiots like that when the marriage fails(we are the last ones married from our original group of friends) and pray that if that ever befell me,i could handle things better and definatly not use lids as weapons..i am so sorry trif
kids
damn typos
raising glass to trif; we all care about you and are here....
thank you all. I am just really sad. I am a little surprised at how depressed I have been.
I think I just need to feel it.
That is perfectly normal.
I would be surprised if you weren't depressed.
You'd be weird if you weren't.
I don't think time of year is helpfult. As Dostroievsky said "All happy families are alike but unhappy families are unhappy in their own ways!"
tallor
but, in so many ways, I resent being sad about this. I have cried too many tears over that liar, and don't want to waste one more minute on his sorry hide. but really, I am stuck with him, as a co-parent for the next 60 years. how do you co-parent with someone when you can't believe a word that comes out of their mouth?
It was Tolstoy, Ruby. Anna Karenina.
When the kids are out of college the game will change a lot.
and I have legitimate questions that he refuses to discuss. how long has it been going on? did he jeopardize my health at any time? is he happier now?
Trif, this is just like any other loss. You need to mourn it, and grieve it and then put it to rest. Then you can move on with your life. And you will do that. First you survive, then you thrive.
thank you molly.
Good advice Molly
amen, molly-the-wise
I would suggest you get a check-up though Trif.
yes.
How are the children taking it?
get a check up molly, live a good life,be there for your kids and hold to your standards and beliefs that is all you can do,you cannot change this man nor should you give yourself one more second of anguish by trying
sigh. I suppose you are right. of course, since the jerkface didn't give me health insurance, it will cost me....I suppose I don't have to be embarrassed in front of the doctor. I am sure he has heard it all before
sorry,just my male musings
no need to worry bout what the doc thinks,go to a clinic tell him your health concerns and get a check up
You can't get that sort of check-up free? We have specialist clincs here.
Okay Cross, I'll get a check up. But I think you were posting to Trif. : P
actually, sally, the children made me really proud of how I raised them. They have no inherent issue with him being gay, and werent' embarrassed or anything. they just found it hilarious. Tertiare made me smile...she said "it's worse than you thing mom. Dad SMOKES!" And she's right. that is worse
have to go. Take care of yourself, trif, and the offer still stand of a shoulder if needed!
Careful - if you're on the verge of getting insurance privately you don't want to establish a pre-existing condition.
and the sardonic part of me smiled to myself and thought Excellent, puff away, I am still the beneficiary on your life insurance policy.
rofl Trif. That keeps things in perspective!
damn american health plan..keep forgetting
but get a check up for crossy...ok?
good attitude for both of you, trif. Send him cigs for Christmas amd maybe a lighter and ahstray!
good morning all
I will have to go on public health, kitty. he left us in abject poverty, and I don't get insurance through work.

thank you everyone - it means a lot to me to know you all care
Hey JBV, how are you doing today?
((Mom))) good morning
JBV, Yes we do care
JBV, more than can be put into words
I'm beginning to resume some normal routines - miss my Babble!
we do care, JBV and some of us have been there. It's not an easy time for you
I managed to contact an agency that will accept donations of unused (sterile-wrapped) medical supplies, so I will be busy today packing and arranging for mailing - I feel good doing that
what a great thing to do JBV
that's great jbv
Sometimes it helps to be busy.
it wasn't easy - my brother helped me, we spent about an hour on Friday calling and emailing agencies who said they are not accepting donations, this one arranges for international aid, possibly to Haiti, etc.
exccellent, I still have some syringes. Have been looking for someone who is diabetic that would take them
we tried local nursing homes and local city and county government agencies, even the Red Cross

Back, Feather, how much snow?
not sure....5 inches?
ok, not too bad
at least not as bad as Buffalo had
nah. the roads are awful though. first snow of the year, and lots of blowing wind.
how much in buffalo?
and it's still snowing here
yeah first snow always causes trouble
we have only had a few fluries here
it's funny. if we had this snow in march, they'd probably only do a delay. the first snowday of the year always feels like a freebie.
it seams lately tho that they call school with just a threat of snow
after school things were cancelled here last tuesday and we only had flurries
bottom right e hint, please
it's early in the season. later, they're much more relaxed!
no, later in the year, they run out of snow days to give when they really need them
yep. ok, so maybe not relaxed, as much as sparing!
at least thats the case here
Trentsnana, a musical composition

hi Haz
good afternoon Haz, Nanette just asked for you :)
a new song not released yet mkg
hi Haz!
Hello! It's a white world outside.
dont know the term or word. oh well.
a question from Crossy, his kitty as been sneezing a lot, had runny eyes which have cleared but still sneezing a lot
snow or fog? Here it is fog, and ice on the streets.
he says it is ok while sleeping, is breathing ok but when active it sneezes
maybe the kitty is allergic to cats! hahahaha.that is what happens to me when i get close to cats.
If it's had its cat flu vaccinations, then it's maybe some sort of allergy?
animals can be allergic as well
perhaps to humans, grinnnn
Lots of snow, sprite, and a heavy hoar frost which has left everything traced in white.
an + vowel and then the ***o?
don't know about the vaccinations but allergies a possibility, could they come on all the sudden?
Or, maybe it has something up its nose that is annoying it and the sneezing is to try to dislodge it?
it is slightly kinder weather here then, Haz. Come over for tea.
i got the an word. but it is not a 8 or 9. i am so confused.
If the cat's been in contact with something unusual an allergy might kick in. But if it's eating and sleeping etc, probably will right itself eventually.
that was my thought Haz, he says it is eating and drinking as normal
I wish I could, sprite!
any clues for the 9s? or the 10?
Terra sneezes and coughs when he is overexited. It settles as soon as he does.
but it could be a lingering cold. or sinus infection. you never know. same as humans.
so do I, Haz. Maybe one day. Or even better, I'll hop over and visit you and Ata and FM!
the 9's ad9 and em9 are combos starting with 7's em7 to imitate
ad7 to adore
Wouldn't that be a party!
lots of chatter and fun, I think. Good conversations!

funny... why isn't the word for water that isn't really warm nor cold valid?
ty got it.
time for list i guess. i have 125 words. usually go after half way.
You mean lukewarm?
yes, the first part, luke
The word has to have both parts to be valid, luke doesn't exist on its own except as a boy's name.
because Enable is silly?
ah thanks Haz, that clears it up
No problem - hope it's the right explanation!
I don't doubt it
et5/14 is a musical composition

left column e.... to become more likable to someone
ty jmb
thanks. That doesn't come from the left E, however; and I have that particular word already
that was for a previous, bottom, request
Thanks, jmb! (And thankd for trying, Erda)
YW Nef
clue for lu 4/9
must remember to put requestor's name in reply...
lu.. musical instrument
ty
lu4/9 (slang) idiot
or, a lu**er is a big fish, isn't it?
To become more likable does come from the left/first column e. So does en + your library book is over***
thanks Molly. It's now greyed out.
kernal
OOPS! Excuse me!
If you're going to slip, give us a real word!
I'm trying to stay our of chat now; if you give me re** words, I'll return the favor! ;-)

fab clue, une, tx
TY une! thats NBT for me! still need 8, 9, and 10 for NBS, though...

me7 me***** oblongata
then the 8 ist latin plural
*is the
em7 8 8 9 -- all start with the same 6 letters
(like ad 7 8 8 9)
hello again, bon soir, une
salut!
Hi {{ruby}}! :o)
*whew* TY again une! now, got the 10??
al 6/30?
yw
all of that snow is coming off the roof, making terrible noises
al6/30 a hydrocarbon with all single bonds
al6/30 - al plus Orson's Citizen
al6 to refer to
I'm sure my little Japanese maples are totally wrecked
oh sorry
me10 - to the me7 add a shortened loved bear.
Thanks Haz!
You're welcome, Molly.
lovely clue, thanks haz
TY haz! thats NBT and NBS for me!
ty haz, nice clue
hi molly and dfm
You're welcome.
And here's the hungry husband home. See you tomorrow!
bye haz!
Hi Ruby. I hope your Japanese maples are not wrecked. Those are beautiful trees.
they are in a beautiful spot but, unfortunately, when snow comes off the (steeply pitched) roof all at once, it breaks off branches. I'm afraid to go out and look
is there an 8 that is not related to the AD and EM groupings??
I made a little u-shaped Japanese garden in the driveway: the center is a tulip tree, then 3 little maples (2 red, one green), then azaleas, then juniper, then moss and rocks
it sounds fussy but is beautiful in spring
good night everybody
eva, you have the me8, right?
it's the latin plural of me***** oblongata
nite, ruby :-)
No Ruby it sounds beautiful.
back in a mo
night ruby :o)
8s: ad8/45 8/55+8/50 em8/55+8/50 me8/55
thanks to all for the clues ... wouldn't have got one in a thousand years without the chat ...
crossy and family are still a snow hostage
*Sending St. Bernards with kegs full of liquor around their necks to Chez Cross*
nbot to worry bacon supples are good and vodka is in da house
It worries me when Canadians are snow bound. I thought y'all were ready for anything snow-wise.
yeah we are, but there are some things you just have to leave to Mother Nature...
we are usually ready, but are now over 3 feet with another 9 inches to come tonight
primary roads get the attention first..our parking lot sadly is not primary:(
I remember a few years back the snow was falling so thickly that after clearing up the whole driveway with a snowblower, the driveway where we started already had a foot of accumulation... is it like that over there, crossy?
last i checked dfm,it was up to the doorhandles of the car...cleaned some away so it would not be to the roofline tomorrow
have some wind whipping it around into lovely peaks and drifts
should've been clearing it while it was falling and manageably lighter. :oP
That is the kind of snow that gets me borderline clinically depressed. We had that last winter. I remember going outside and thinking that I had been transported to Siberia.
*packs molly in a crate and sends her to Finland*
lol dfm,i did not feel like being up all night to do it
and it is a good excuse to stay home and babble!
lol! they sent the kids home early was almost no one there to teach it seems, just the local principal and 2 sub teachers who live right in town
probably all stuck inside like you are :oP Or out skiing.
my kid hates being close enough to school to walk
Molly - I just took some White Chocolate Gingerbread Blondies out of the oven. I think you were the one who said you'd made them before. They sure smell good!
lol dfm,to ski you have to get to the hill
no, I me4, out skiing, didn't say where.
ahh one of the big cattaplillar machine with the big blower just went by:)
did they blow all the snow onto your car and/or windows?
and/or door?
they have not even made it to the lot yet\
i dug out the dorrs this morn,so we are good there
doors
TNana, my girlie-in-law made them last Christmas. I'm going to make them this year. They are very good.
mmm gingerbread cookies....
You should build an igloo in which to live. ;o)
lol dfm,you are a canuck as well, you know better than that...an igloo cannot support wifi:)
Oh, okay - they look like they turned out good!
just bring a couple hundred extension cables... a few power splitters... modem... 10x500m cat5e network cables... join then together and you can go anywhere!
what are white chocolate gingerbread blondies please - they sound naughty and good
shh dfm...coooookies.....
I actually made a 200m-long cat6 cable o.0 it is HEAVY... but I run all over the house with it connected to my laptop... :o3 I usually forget to disentangle it though, so part of my Sundays is spent untying the line from walls, posts, tables, and the like...
lol@ 200m cat cable..ever hear of a wifi box and wireless nic card?
(well actually it's closer to 170 metres... meh, close enough)
and i still use cat 5..or used to
yep, sometimes go wireless too, but wired is faster.
now i use 802.11 n wireless
when I'm on wireless I use that too :oP
it is off of cable,so fast enough for me
54mbps
cable is still so much faster :oP
it is indeed;)
i got rid of phone line net 2 months ago
I'm also connected to my computer and not my router via cable, and my computer doesn't have wireless. :oO
get one of those small wireless keys dfm,i got one for the wife...22 bucks, just plug into usb 2.0 port and yer done
hard disk of laptop doesn't actually contain much, most files are stored on the computer and externs
so that cable actually sees a LOT of volume.
I should probably consider making/getting a shorter cable (probably 70m) so I don't need to run around the house disentangling everything, and it's lighter, and probably a bit faster. In theory.
soon they will have usb video cards lol, will no need to open up a computer anymore,to upgrade just jam a usb key in!:)
ger a wifi key like i told you and a wireless router all for under 70 dollars, forget hauling all that cable round
d-link makes good ones
or put cat 5/6 outlets in every room of the house !
Kazz...link to the recipe...http://www.marthastewart.com/ recipe/white-chocolate-gingerbread-blo ndies
thank you i shall have a look Molly
that is actually pretty easy choose one regular outlet in each room, get the electrician to unhook the outlet and pull the wire from the junction box, then using a wire snake feed cat 5/6 into each room
but I like opening up my computer! Do:
i have book marked the page - they sound really naughty
who needs an electrician? *opens up outlet* *ZZZAAAAAAAP*
we had that in our last place but almost nobody bothers to use cat 5 or 6 anymore
ke

Hi kids! I will be leaving the Indian Reservation Health Ctr soon. I just wanted to say hello to all of the snowbunnies in Babble Land.
E@(5,5) et5/14
Hiya, Scrabbs. Shhhhh! Don't say the "S" word.
Hello Scrabbs!!
et5 = musical composition
hi scrabs, stid, Judi, and everyone who snuck in while my back was turned :o)
Well, we have lots and are getting more everyday this week.

I snuck up on you, huh, df?
thanks dfm and scrabs! *hugs cousin*
Are you on winter break yet, Stid?
yes you did!
*hands out choclits to celebrate* I have NBT!!! going to go "read" ....
yes, winter break has begun for me. Which means I am frantically trying to get some order and cleanliness back into my home. Haven't actually had time to clean and neaten in over two years and it shows.
I have 2 blank tiles still. I'll work on those when I am home later.
also beginning to think about starting on the research for the official master's thingy.
Just do the basics of housecleaning. It gets dirty as soon as you finish cleaning anyway.
hence the reading -- which I gratefully am using the text to voice functions of my mac now.
Text-to-voice---very cool!
yes. that is my approach -- the basics. and making sure the piles of books and papers are small enough that when they fall over I can still crawl out from under. *wicked mama look*
I will be glad to be rid of researching for a while when I am done!
official master's thingy? o.0
i still have 3 blank tiles - with 73 to go
It's 4 pm and work is over! I hope the drive home is not as scary as the morning commute. It's been snowing nonstop since last Wed.
See you later, munchkins!
I am nearing the end of a master's program dfm - rather than a thesis this program has us do a "project" which in this case is a meta-analysis around a specific education-teaching related topic.
YAY scrabs! see you next time!
be safe driving...
yay scrabs! :o) have a safe drive home...
bye Scrabs

Herin, isn't it either really early or really late (depending on your point of view) there?
does the list help?
I am OK Molly. We had a staff Member overdose last night and I had to be her nurse, and then another family members wife had a wierd problem after srugery and I was also that nurse...

oh heck, whatver martha just made had cups of bourboan and a bottle of cognac
Possibly, but right now I am just enjoying sitting here on my couch...
(((Red))) sorry you are dealing with such tough stuff. Sweet dreams to you.
9 cups of bourbon, cognac and 3 cups of rum
NEFFFFFFFFFF
not getting the de 6/27 clue
red, I had a bad day on 9/12/01 and still have little PTSD flashes every once in a while. Please at least seriously consider it
I think I would rather just have the bourbon alone. Seems like a waste of cognac
i'm a counselor, for what it's worth, and sometimes people just need their own process
pie a la ****? depeche ****? mean, median ****?
thank you
(((herin!!!!!))) Congrats, girl!!!!
I was thinking resistance
Rats, I was going to do the Depeche **** clue. : P
I dont feel that traumatized at the moment...more sad and also very tired. pulled a lot of strings to get the co worker sent to a better psych facility...and also had other pts...

TU dorens!
i think you're okay red, honest i do.
Thanks Nef
I am...but if I become not...I can get assistance...
exactly... and you will know if you need it, i'm sure
Red, sad and tired are very valid feelings. Your energy gets drained from dealing with things like that. Sending positive, warm thoughts your way.
but after wednesday...I have a week off! so all will be relaxed.
i'm feeling drained too.. long day.. any last clues needed before i go try to figure out how to get fedex to send a prepaid label up to boston?
Sometimes you just have to put out to the universe to get that person a good guiding hand and a good guiding light for you
thanks all...
oh.. I missed red's issue.. what was it at work?
clue pls for right column o?
nm
can anyone clue the 9 or ten words???
owl, why are you not listing?
Okay, red.. My big salvation at the time was polishing a huge silver tea set for my nursing organization; I could work out some of the stuff that way; but we (nurses) never consider the long term effects of some of the stuff we do
one 9 is ad9/66 in a long list of ad7.8.8.9
sorry, will list then
no nef we dont but this was not as bad as it sounds . The wife got better and the co-worker will get some assistance...
me 7?

Hello...

hello jellen
hi Jellen How are you these days?
wind-swept ice stings, and busses that come too early and too la4 suck. :o/
hi everyone :o)
hello dfm
Other than fighting off a sore throat, I'm well, thanks!
Hi, dfm
I just found this recipe: http://tinyurl.com/6e8t49
were the nines clued?
Yum, herin! Make some for me!
ad9 and em9
TO, the 9's are em 9/66 and ad 9/66
ad8/50 + pl. ad9/66 one who admires em8/50 + pl. em9/66 one who imitates
I am making a Walnut cake for tomorrow for the funeral
Who died, herin?
:o/ I don't usually like cake but I want some of that now...
My b.fs Pa
It is a carrot and walnut cake
Pa died last Wednesday. He was 86 married for over 60 years to Gran
I'm sorry for your loss, herin.
YUM herin. Can you put one of those in the pb please?
I'm sorry about Pa but that cake sounds awesome!!!
that didn't come out as serious as I intended it. Seriously, condolences.
HI Mins. Thanks too Nef. Apparently he was sick for a while
ok. I'm done talking.
Not it is ok Mins. I need to smile at the moment
got both 9s though.
i bet he didn't tell anyone he was ill, right?
al6/30 pls?
Still missing an 8. I have ad8x2, em8x2, me8. What am I missing?
ad8 x 3
(((Herin))) I hope all goes as well as it can tomorrow.
Is the 3rd ad8 related to the 1st 2?
Is the 3rd ad8 related to the 1st 2?
no
it's a pl of the first ad7
Then I am definitely missing the 1st ad7.
ad7 = type of grland
TOUCHDOWN PATRIOTS!!!!
Thanks Molly
Woo Hoo. Love the Pats!
I am trying to do the 5 thing and ignoring it
herin, you've totally confused me now....
would that garland be known to someone who doesn't decorate for Christmas?
You just take it as it comes Herin, and remember to hug the loved ones around you when you do.
17-0
Molly if I hug anyone in his family I will tower over them
In that case, warm pats on the back work wonders.
you can still hug them herin (just bend your knees to get closer to their size! )
Nef to ease your confusion. Pa was sick but by a twist of fates b.fs mum sent him a text about 8 weeks ago saying that the ''oldies were sick''. He didn't get the message and we were only informed 2 weeks ago. We were going to see him on Thursday but he died on the Wednesday.
sorry, not getting the garland clue for the ad7/8 I am missing. could you dumb it down for me please?
oh, no, herin! That is tough!
Well I figure that whatever reason we didn't know was a good one. I did have a crow or 3 hanging about. Maybe they were just watching out for me and making sure I got the best I could on the studies. And the B.f would not be upset for so long
ad + you use a r**er to measure + I *** too much at dinner. Then past tense.
Nef b.f gets on average 100 sms messages a day. he just doesn't have time to read them all
I have that one Molly. I'm pretty sure I'm missing the 1st ad7/8 combo. the hint I was given had something to do with garlands that I didn't get.
Minski, my first ad7/8 has to do with glands.
Do you have totem crows, herin? My FIL was part ojibwe indian and his totem was the crow
me10 pls? realted to the 8 & 9?
that's the problem. I misread the word glands and thought you were saying garlands and I didn't get it. Now I do. Thanks Nef.
Now the 8s, 9s, and 10 are greyed out.
and I still have 81 words left to find.
Mine is Wolf. Crow just visits when needed

pini, but brains aren't equipped with any sensory nerves! ;oO
I'm not so sure about that, dfm! LOL
are you in school now?
I'll be entering my second year of university.
finals are over then

grrr... i was trying to do it all on my own (plus lickety's list) tonight! But I just can't get this last one and it's bedtime. Anyone have a clue for the ll?
sounds similar to a night time ta** show host, Ballet
thanks, nef! I'll mess with that and hopefully crack it before bed.
yes! Thanks so much Nef! Got it and now I can sleep without it bugging me... haha
will have to leave this board unfinished....I have to go do stuff see you all later
waaaa!! http://www.theweathernetwork.com/alert s/wwcaon0005c/caon0158/weather?ref=war nings_citypage
was hoping to see herin - if you guys see her, congratulations are in order! she graduated with distinction and has found a job!
no wonder i have not seen herin in a few days, she has been a busy girl it seems
takes a lot of guts to go back to school and change you life... I am very proud of her! If you see her, pass it on... I must get to bed
Speak of the devil
:D
Hi I had to save the laundry from the rain
hey herin!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
That's the Ts greyed out along with the Us. Up to the Ss. 58 words left to find.
Hi Crossie. I have news. I have a job :D
I hope you are feeling very proud and have celebrated a bit!
yaa for herin!!!
what type of job herin?
Sadly KJE now is not the time for celebrations. Pa (b.fs grandpa) died on Wednesday. We had a mini celebration b.f and I fish and chips on the beach before bugs invaded
Legal Sec same as what I have been studying for
Crossie swap you http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDR023. loop.shtml
very nice,i am sorry boutyou pa;(
sad to hear, herin... but still proud of you!
I must get to bed as morning will be here too soon, but wanted the babble-world to know the good news... you rock, girl!
Job was found out on Friday but I had been holding offf until my friend found out if she got the job
Pa lived a great life. He was a right cad as Grandma says
NIGHT KJE and thank you
what is that? just rain??? ill take your trade herin, the snow has now come up overtop of the door handles on the car,and i cannot open the patio dorr
door
That is rain. No thanks
just rain is fine with me
Farmers are really screwed. Brilliant crops and them bam more rain very destructive. Really effecting the grains and the fruits and grapes
it may be 3 days before i can even head out for groceries lol good thing i stocked up
we will have no more crops till next june earliest lol
I have a baking pantry for those purposes.
fun in the great white north;)
My sisters town is flooded and she is really blessed to live on the high side of town but equally irrated she can get to work
though this ammount in less than a week is unusual even for us
we all have our weather issues it seems
There was a bumper crop of Cherries heading this way and now they are all splitting on the tree (I nearly said vine but that is the grapes and mold)
It is still a hot 26 C though
http://www.theweathernetwork.com/your_ weather/details/1232/3551127/1
Isn't that the equivalent of somewhere in the 60s F? I remember visiting my cousins in Israel and it got up to 45C
No it is about 78 F
with rainfalls of up to 100mm predicted to fall over the next three days
Great Pics Crossie. No thanks
38 c is 98 F
45c is closer to 113f
yeah. it was hot in the desert there. 78 is a georgous summer day. but that is a ridiculous amount of rain. gather what harvest you can while you can.
but dry heat isn't so bad. If it got to 113F here in Massachusetts with the humidity it would be ridiculous.
Thankfully I am not a farmer. The sad thing is the pricers go up in the stores and the farmers get squat. At least of the markets and such you know that it makes a difference
yeah. I hear you. what time is it there?
230pm
Sounds like naptime to me.
Resisting the urge to
R & S greyed out. 48 left to find.
Why? Sometimes when you get bad news or have a bad day a nap is extremely beneficial.
I slept very well last night.
If I had a hammock I would be outside on it
sounds lovely. It's a bit cold for that here. 29 F.
Brrr
A "bit" cold.
minus 5 c here...no hammocks
Hi Crossy!!
i wish it was colder actually,it would moderate the snowfall
howdy minski
minus SIX C here, crossy :oP
Ok this grid is enough of a pain in my butt to have used more words before half way mark
lol,i got you beat in snow:P
We haven't gotten any snow yet. This is the coldest it has been. The next storm should be snow though. The ground is cold now.
My little boy cat is all a fluster about the storms
I miss storms... I only saw two major thunderstorms and one hailstorm this year. :o( They tend to hit when I'm in the /other/ city...
The weather is stormy not really full on like new years
Good evening to my fellow babblers! How is everyone?
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! YAY!
HI Min
I just got head bonked
Hi minv! :o)
head bonked?
When ones cat decides to be cute and bonk you with their head.
aww... how cuuuute.
http://tinyurl.com/3x57tqd Like so
And then he proceeds to walk off and destroy my shoe laces
27 left to find.
Hi Min.
I love kitty head butts.
aww... poor shoelaces, but that sounds so cute...
I am sitting on the couch watching football with my laptop on my stretched out legs and my kitty curled up just on the other side of the laptop enjoying its heat. I feel like I'm sitting in a sauna.
the surface of my tablet is starting to feel burney right now.
Maybe it's time to toss it out(side to let it cool down) and switch laptops...
Mins you really need to put a fan and table under the laptop it isn't good for it
or you
Ok, I just came on to show off my pet icon. I gave up on grid at 7:17 with 170 words & 2009 points. Bye all!
Goodnight to my fellow babblers! I'll see you tomorrow
What a cute doggie!
DF one of my boot laces is too short because of him. Night MIni
what kind is it?
You show-o-- aww, cuuuuuuuute...
night minv!
ni ni Min.
were did Crossie go?
he probably got lost/buried in the snow.
Probably
*imagines crossy buried under 2 metres of snow, hand sticking up trying to dig out*
Beautiful pup Min
Minski,my dog is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Just discovered how to send pictures to my email with my cell phone so now I can post different pictures of my dog. I'm behind the times when it come to technology
Awww Pup
Either that or Crossie is testing the new Canadian fridge
new Canadian fridge?
Yep put drinks outside they freeze there right?
yeah, but usually we don't test with ourselves!
awww
hmm. meant * our selves!
So you wouldn't do that?
I think I did unintentionally today...
opps
Just don't do that in a vehicle Coke slushies are a nigh mare to clean up
hello all! lady -- did I just see happy news in fb?
hi stid!
hi all
Yes you did Stid. I have my dream job
TEA!!!! (((hugs)))
Hi TNC! :o)
oh, that is WONDERFUL! *happy dance of happiness*
Hi TNc
I have a few minutes here before I put the monkeys to bed
I knew it would happen! Just felt like you were waiting for EVer!
Thanks Stid. I didn't say anything till today as I hoped my friend would also get a job there. She hasn't heard back
*makes trail of banana crumbs for monkeys to follow and put selves to bed*
I was waiting for ever.
Babble monkeys or kid monkeys? ;o)
oh, I see. . . *puts in extra bid for friend to get hired also*
it's been a crappy couple of days, so they need the help!
14 words left to find. All A words.
go Minski go!
oh tea... (((hugs))) sorry to hear that
oTnC HUGS
If I just stop talking I have dropped off to sleep
Tea has been puking since yesterday morning - I think she is done, but I thought so last night, too
O poor kido
oh oh... not ready for bananas then. *replaces with pedialyte*
11
heh, herin, I do that so often... *falls asleep into soup*
bannas?
SO glad my "kids" are pretty much past those types of illnesses!
and she missed her archaeology field trip today because if it - oh the drama!
aww, poor her... illness?
It is one of those days DF were the weather is right for a nap
that IS sad. Is it some place you can take her over the winter break?
no fever, so I have no idea
too hot, lady?
no one else got it, either
<-- is recently narcoleptic. And insomnic too, paradoxically.
it was the archaeology department at the university, so they will be on break, too - I'll figur eit out
Not hot but humid and stormy and I know that tommorrow is going to blow and suck
I think she was more distressed about not getting to ride the school bus. it is a novelty
Tea maybe you can speak to the people at the Arch department to show her through
Food poisoning? Illness caught at school?
I might just pull her out of school one day while Crackers is in afternoon kindy and take her up there
that's a good idea.
you know, dfm, she has the weakest stomach and it usually takes her two days to feel better. Cracker is a one and done kid.
Stid sadly b.fs Pa died last Wednesday and his funeral is tomorrow. Have to wear full suit that kind of thing. I am going to wear a sleavless dress and cardigan
is the ten fishy?
no stid, not really.
*very sad mama look* I am most unhappy to hear that. Your choice for clothes sounds perfect. Just wish you were wearing them for a happier occasion.
help please dfm? I am not listing, just want to have the ten.
ok, off to bed for me - hubby is on the schedule from last Saturday until Christmas, without a day off - love the post office! So, I must get up there and spend a few minutes with him before he leaves for work.
Night all! Thanks for the commiseration!
So do I. Poor B.f has to wear the full suit. I hope he doesn't bake. I will wear a sleeveless dress and short sleeve cardigan as it is a Catholic mass and it is disrespectful to have bare arms in a church
Do you have the me7/40? part of the brain, me7 oblongata
O MY Gosh TEa how you going to cope?
sweet dreams tea. ((hug)) hope all feel right in the morning!
yes, I have the me 7
night tnc! Hope Tea gets better soon!
*envisions an airconditioned shirt to wear under suit*
5
The having of a me7 is to be me10.
I think he is also opting for a long sleeve shirt.
I was going to go and wear a ''cow'' print sun dress but I have a feeling that black would be better. And it is likely to rain at the burial so that should be muddy fun
need help with my last 2 words.
hm... *thinking*
AN6/24 & AN6/30
what are you missing, mins?
please?
black would work, and doesn't show stains if you are like me an always drip tea on things
I know but the cow one is higher cut. Less boobs
Traditional black not super sexy but not tentish either with a cardigan.
an6/24 is a wreath for your head
Not sure what the other is, lemme check...
well if you are wearing a cardigan too, probably won't be too many boobs flying around anyway?
oh, huh, an6/30 is a moon of Jupiter. Enable is sooooo silly...
True but that cardi is on only in church or I will bake too
tough decision!
I will go on his lead.
FINALLY got the 10. thanks dfm
got the Jupiter's Moons one but not the head wreath hting.
monkeyed it
!!!!!FIREWORKS!!!!!
it's almost like a di.... (crown).
Yah Mins
oh, you got it... congrats! :o)
yawn need to get a coffee
can you put a light camisole under it or a lacy slip or something?
a modesty shield kind of hting
Mini not really too hot
YAY Minski!
People need to be gratful in this weather I leave the house and have clothes on
bbrb
bbrb
opps sorrys
good night all. The score of the football game is 45 - 3 Patriots with 2 minutes left in the game. I feel confident going to bed before the end.
bye mins! :o)
sweet dreams minski!
is there more than one SN?
no
okay. *thinking*
Evening all. May I please have a clue for me7-40? Thanks
hey peach! It's a brain part, paired with oblongata
Part of your brain is the me7 oblongata.
Hey there, stid. Thanks/.
*gasp* I only JUST saw the FISHY fish!
down to 52. two more words and I will be done for today
fish?
Thanks, dfm.
and down to 49. yep. TU 4 *sigh*
the ORIGINAL fish.
anyway.... off to rest me eyes. thanks for the help, all! I feel very successful to get 75% today. It seemed a more difficult grid than most this size.
*poof*
May I please have a clue for em7-36? Thanks
NM
bye Stid
is anyone here?
<-- was busified with KoL
oops, wrong answer. I me4...
no, herin, you're totally alone... alone, and there is nobody else here...
gapeach, to pattern your behaviour after..
Well if that is the case I can run about naked
yes you can... but you shouldn't, there may or may not be innocent people watching...
I know that is why I said I could
or meant to
Hi Susan
Hi herinfer...
hi Susan :o)
herin please it is will be easier
Hello, young Canuck (dfmchfhf...)
:oO Susan our Babble ages are the same!
We've got babble ages?
So we do!
haha, there are 176 Babblers between us... and I joined slightly earlier than you :oP yeah, check the profiles...
West coast or east coast or somewhere in between, dfmchfhf?
At the moment, in the nation's Capital... usually a bit further down south. And a bit further west.
I imagine you're a little colder than we are... No snow here, but a southeaster promised.
I heard there was a snowfall that more or less equals the yearly average on the west coast recently?
I think we're a bit colder over here... more inland... but we've barely had any snow.
It didn't actually hit my neighbourhood, but there was a sprinkling on the ground for a day or two.
When you're ready to retire to the warmth, come west young man!
I guess it'll be quite a few years for you tho', since you're under a year....
hehe. actually nineteen... still in university...
and I like the cold... o.o even though I was born in Hong Kong...
Excellent! What are you studying?
Math?...
Guess based on that Rubik's cube...
good guess! And you're right... CS / Pure Mathematics
Interesting. You're obviously a well-rounded person because here you are using the other side of your brain doing word games.
back later sorry life has to interrupt
bye herin, hope it's not a serious issue!
<-- is a mathophile. "matho" prefix meaning "knowledge", not "mathematics". Close enough to a polymath, I guess, but most of what I know isn't in-depth... :o(
although I must admit I'm also a mathephile ("mathe" meaning "mathematics" and not "knowledge")!
It's a nice, reliable subject. What do you plan to do with it? Accounting? Business?
stuff that's neither nice nor reliable -- quantum mechanics, or quantum computing.
gulp. Sounds like a heavy course load.
CS + PMath already is, I need to take 55 courses to5 :oS and standard is 40... thinking I'll take an extra term, and delay the physics half until later... (though a minor in physics is included in the 55.)
That's very ambitious. It'll be wonderful when you're done, but I don't envy you right now. Don't let it wear you down.
wonderful that is, if I can find some place to work or make a discovery... ;o) Research-oriented jobs are difficult, or so I've heard... kind of a bit anxious about it, being on a co-op term with a "normal" job this term is making the anxiety a bit worse...
If you're studying something you genuinely enjoy, then it will definitely work out for you. The problems only arise when people aren't committed to their choices.
And the co-ops give you a bit of a 'foot in the door' of the places you might be interested in working, don't they?
yeah they do :o)
greetings earthlings
hi cos :o)
So, you'll have a job before you've even graduated!
Hi cosdem!
this grid sucked but im glad i finished it
hi dfm and susan!
ooh, cos, greeted you wrongly... should have said Salutations, squishy flesh-being
thats better
