in this area..where i am...cus of the lakes..we are used to a "streamer" that is anywhere from 50 m wide to 2 km wide..and then clear blue skies on other side...

So today was day three. They were NOT listening to directions and there were several projectiles (pencils, etc) flying around when they thought we weren't looking.
SO --- when the lesson was over, I let my friend know that I had a whole-class scold ... *grin* and then I let them have it!

Told them that I was completely aware they all understood how to listen to and follow directions; AND that tossing/throwing things was not just inappropriate but dangerous. They were SO SILENT! And they were very very well behaved until the bell rang. We'll see tomorrow how well it sticks...

Thanks ballet. I agree with you. I just watched one class brutalize a student teacher for 4 weeks before he got up enough gumption to call them on their behaviour. His last 2 weeks were much better

Monkey we have had snow in the mountains at Christmas. This may actually be one of the first in a while were it has been sunny
i don't like snow, but I like that a snowfall might close my workplace :)
we had lovely warm holidays in Puerto Rico... and once in Virginia it was in the 70s or 80s on Dec 25th. We went roller skating in the street!

They have lots to be proud of, so never mind.
During the school year, they perform on the quad every Friday at 4:00pm...my old office overlooked the quad so I got to watch them every week.
