Toss something in the crock pot, Carlee.
Spaghetti with garlic and live oil is an easy comfort food that requires almost no cooking--saute some mine=ced garlic in plenty of olive oil, throw in a few red pepper flakes if you like, toss in your spaghetti once cooked, and dust on the plates with grated parmigiano cheese.
Serve with a tossed green salad out of the bag and voila. A nice pinot grigio goes done well with it.
I make that one Jan. Sometimes I throw some canned shrimp in it too.

I sometimes do a hash like thing with fried potatoes, onions, whatever meat is around (hamberger, ham, etc) and vegetables.
layer the veggies under stuffing and chicken pieces
that works with daughter..but son..not so much...i know..picky... but not near as picky as used to be
OK here's another idea--a frittata. Dice up miscellaneous filling stiff you have around--bits of ham, precooked veggies, leftover boiled potatoes, etc. Toss in some olive oil in a 12 inch skillet till warmed through. If you like, add some onions. When it's cooked through, pour on 6 eggs, beaten. Sprinkle on parmigiano cheese over the top. Cook on the stovetop for a few minutes till the bottom is just starting to brown but the topis still liquid. Then run it under the broiler till the top is golden brown and delicious. Cut into pie shaped wedges and serve.

That sounds tasty. Chicken is such a versatile food--unfortunately my daughter is allergic to it. Isn't that weird--we had never heard of a chicken allergy before. She is fine with chicken broth, and turkey or duck is no problem, but if she eats more than a bite or two of chicken meat, it's nasty.

Eva, I have a friend who used to own a bridal shop and she says that the brides who were starving themselves to fit into their dress were always more grouchy and snipey than the ones who were just accepting themselves for who they were.
id still love to lose some weight, but im not going to have one particular day as the goal or reason. thats just asking for trouble. a week before my wedding, i rolled into my hairdressers with a big mac. lol she thought i was nuts!
