chard isnt big enough for suburbs in the true sense - we are about 500 yards as the crow flies from the high street - with a playing fields and school ground between us and it. The houses where we live were built from the early 70s onwards but folks who know tend to use our road as a rat run to avoid the traffick lights on the main road
our road is very narrow, but the house range from 18th c. (an old convent and a mill) to the 80's and 90's. Ours is from the 80's, but I've made it look older

I keep telling her that - she is too 'strong' - she has recently got somebody to 'dad sit' one morning a week - she stopped being able to leave him back in September when he started having fits. As he is never going to get better I wish he would do the other thing. At least she might have some life to enjoy afterwards. But he comes form a long line of folks who live into their 80s and 90s.

That's how I feel too - when they retired she wanted to go off and see the world and he wanted to stay home and watch tv. I wish she'd left him behind and gone to see the world, because i doubt she'll manage it now.

my husband's sister dosen't recognise her own children now ....such a cruel disease for those left behind
I think the film shows great insight into Alzheimer's
Never seen the JC movie. He has always refused to accept there's anything wrong - he said he was 'furgetful' when we said anything at the start. Now he understands everything you say to him but he can't work out how to use any machinery or equipent
and he gets very grumpy when there is noise - but having lived alone and quietly for a few weeks now I can empathise with that LOL
try to see the film; it is touching and very real.....
I'll see if I can find it, maybe tell my mum too.
It's a great film
our house is so quiet that when one of the dogs changes position, I can hear it. My husband, on the other hand, is deaf as a post!

I did pretty well this year, rubyfoo. Made myself go outside every day, lots of light indoors on dark days. Lots of vitamins too. And exercise every day. It really makes a difference in depression!

last week during the storm, there was about a seven hour period where I had no phone, no internet, and no tv. the kids were stuck at their dad's, and I cannot remember the last time I accomplished so much in one day. And I have thought about that a lot, since last week.

Kids in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse + Albany typically go to Univ of Rochester for the only kids' heart surgeon in those cities. But the parents may want a 2nd opinion--Boston CHildren's, Philly, Hopkins or DC.

crossy... my mum used to have to take lipitor....then she put herself on the Isogenix diet...lost weight....can eat what she wants (as long as sticks relatively closely to her schedule ) and no longer takes lipitor

most of chemicals are for preserving so don't go bad so if make and eat right away, don't store then you're good

this has been an on going "safe house" for him to run to when parents got too abusive for him... has stayed here longest thus far more then a month
he is 20,that means he is an adult,so the booze fueled imput of the mother means nothing..nothing at all.as a young adult he must find work,or be in a center of higher learning.i would take him in short term,providing no drugs,and he is either in college or is holding a job

gremlin (who has since disappeared) gave a very useful hint about morewords -- type a ^ and then the letters which are missing from the grid. Copy it. Then when you go to morewords, enter the first 2 letters and a - for the number of letters needed. Hit enter and the list will be much shorter. Saves time.
