hi ruru
hi jilli how was your busy day?
It was busy, thanks, ruru, but things got done
ya4/10
more busy tomorrow
wow.. you keep a busier schedule than all of us
em7
well, I don't do mornings, sot the afternoons are crammed
mrs. ru doesn't do mornings either..lol
felt a bit sad today, though, after discovering all the family were gathered at my son's and I wasn't invited.
i'm so sorry jilli
Jillibus, I am sorry, I would feel badly about it too.
not only family, but pals of grandson's too.
that's awful.. why does your dil treat you this way?
that is dreadful, jilli - cannot believe your son wouldn't have some say in the matter
she has her problems these days, ruru -- a brother dying of lung cancer in the Montreal area, and her job to do in Mission, BC, putting on the Merchant of Venice at her school, etc. But I sent them all Easter e-cards -- only my son bothered to open his.
that is very hurtful.. how cruel
that is indeed cruel
I'm afraid I do feel hurt.
the fact that she has so much going on, didn't mean the kids couldn't bring friends??
you should.. she's out of liine
I would feel very hurt, jilli
it isn't like you have tried to make amends
she's out of line I menat
meant
I can't type tonight
Flosey -- my grandson (her son) DID bring friends. I'm the only one left out.
just absolutely rude
wow, just got a YA 8
wtg diz
Well, shrug, not much I can do about it. I did send my son an email though, telling him how I felt.
and so you should, jilli, he has to know
Enough, now. Back to my Babble buddies who are always supportive -- thanks.
for sure
not finding this one easy
that's good.. he needs to let you know what the problem is.. she is a bit whacked to keep you away .. she must be competitive with you in some way
crashing -- last few tomorrow...poof
goodnight nan
or she feels you judge her in some way...
doren would help.. she'd understand jilli... you should ask her.
ruru, I don't think it's just her -- I think both of them are so self-involved with their own lives they just don't think about the boring old lady. They may have thought I would need to be met at the ferry again as in the dark Christmas days, but now that it's daylight saving I can drive myself there. It's not exactly next door, you know.
Anyway, they just can't be bothered. AsI said, enough, now.
that doesn't speak well for either of them.. you should be a very important part of their lives especially right now.. I'm sorry jilli.. some people are just self-absorbed and narcissitic
*big easter hugs for jilli* I'm glad you are here
Thank you, ruru -- hugs back.
oh found the lover in the grid
ooo -- a lover -- who?
fireworks
If it is any consolation jilli.. I haven't seen my family for 25 years.. all Easters are just us two.
ro 5 is the lover
thanks ru
i have 11 left and still haven't found the 8 letter word
ya8 sounds japanese
ty ru
got it...japanese type of food if i'm not mistaken
it's a boneless chicken in japan
wonder how boneless chickens get around?
lol
guess they just wiggle
little boneless chicken motorized toyota wheelchairs
one of my favorite far side cartoons is of the boneless chicken ranch
well....the chicken crossing the road jokes don't work as well....or maybe they do
mine too
he's a genius that gary larsen
googled it, thanks
Yes, ruru, I know you've been estranged from your family, which is so sad. At least you have each other now. The thing I don't understand about my situation is that we've been getting along fine and I've so enjoyed my son's visits here and our Christmas get-togethers. It's just the thoughtlessness just now that hurts, and the message that my son has just been too busy to be bothered. But his "busy" is totally unprofitable -- he has no steady income and they have a mountain of debt. I have had to help them out quite often.
But ENOUGH! No more whining from here!
oh jilli, behave like that and still expect help from you!
And whoopee! I actually KNEW the ya8!!!
not getting the upper right A, for nbt
wtg jilli
I still have 4 blanks :-(
I had help for first few minutes, jilli
at 7/40 a strange word meaning a tropical tree of the philipines
lol, guess it's too late back in Toronto to call my dil who is philippino
maybe hold off on helping them so much jilli
I've already decided to do that, ruru.
good.. that's the sensible thing to do.
then you won't feel taken advantage of
ru, there have been extenuating circumstances I won't go into here.
finally monkeyed that ay4/6
okay.. none of my biz ...I just care about you
much appreciated, ruru xx

ey7 and ya8 Marc
thanks
clue for the at7 please
at7 - three letters for consumed food, then a shortened word for a salad dressing, but change the vowels round. The shortened word is also an Irish country.
thanks Haz
You're welcome, Jiving.
clue for both the corner Ns please
The corner left is na6/18 - a collective name for a people.
thanks Haz
Also ni4/4 from that tile.
From the other n - na6/30 ending in three letters for family.
lovely - must poof now Thanks for all your help
You're welcome. See you again.
Good morning all.....clue please for na6/30 ??
natine
OOops!!
nm....found it!
I may seem stipud for asking this but I dont seem to be able to find the answer in the help section, but what do the number on the tile stat section mean.
*stupid even
it's fine snoopycat, not stupid at all!
the first number is how many words you have found from that tile, the second number is how many words are possible from that tile.
thus, 2/3 would mean you have found 2 of 3 possible words
once you have found all 3, the tiles turns grey
thanks
de rien! :)
thanks a lot I was thinking it was that but was not sure.
remember, none of us were born knowing how to place this game! we all had to learn, and there is a lot of jargon and such that can be confusing, at first
its always good to ask questions. We are here to help
yes when people are giving clues.am sure i will get there.
:-)
ok, be honest - is it just me, or is this grid hard as heck?
It's a tricky little one
not just you!!
although my 9yo daughter managed to find 2 words
thanks my dear friends. usually I am a nbt halfway kind of gal, but nbt is looking like a reach today
haven't got anything aboe a 6 yet
could you send her this way, berri?
*above
I have five -- FIVE!!! -- tiles that I just can't budge, at all. shameful!
I have 3, Trif, maybe I can help with a couple of yours? :)
what is nbt?
I can't find the top right A, bottom right N, or center column lone i.
nbt = No Blank Tiles, means you have at least one word from all tiles (that are not 0/0 and so you won't start words from those.)
well, I am at least halfway, with my 3 BT's , giving up for now. :P
can anyone help - stuck on last word at7/40
don't have it... sorry
wahts does 7/40 mean
it doesn't make a very large list in Morewords, think I'll search it out
Thank you.
it means it is 7 letters long and scores 40 points
ah k thanks
ah k thanks
got it
found it, too! :D
weird one!
How can any word of 7 letters get 40 points? If I take the tiles with most points on them - M 2, Y 3,Y 3, W 5, U 2, K 5 plus 1 from any tile the total is 21.
not seen that one before!
a 4 letter word scores tile value x1, 5 letters x 2, 6 letters x 3, 7 letters x 4 etc
Ah..thank you..
might help to read the explanation in "Help" above here for that, splasher - I've never quite understood it myself, haha
looking for the ro/5 can anyone clue?
scratches head, rolls eyes, and thinks will i get the hang of this lol
Ro*** and Juliet?
aah thatns rbud
i hate 5's
Of course Rbud..but who ever reads the "instructions"?
heehee! ;p
yay starting to see some grey
clue for the at 7 plz
sorry i don't have that yet
anyone explain in lickerty's what the numbers before the words means
in lickerty the numbers are the number of letters and the points
What is lickerty?
link on the bottom of page that gives list of words
with first two letters and the amount of words that start with those 2 letters
this is only second attaempt at playing and friend that introduced me told me to use that as well asa a extra helper
we love lickety... he keeps us from going crazy, haha - but I try not to use him until frustration sets in.
gonna get this friend for starting me off onhat i can se will be an addiction
does anyone have the at/7 yet?
hello everybody
today, easter monday, is a big holiday here! very annoying -- no mail, no trash pickup, no housekeeper. How annoying is that?
rbud, could i have a clue for the at7 plz?
at7 - consumed food, then a salad dressing (shortened) but change over the vowels. The salad dressing is also an Irish county.
It's been clued several times if you care to look back in the chat log.
em7 - first three letters of a green gemstone followed by a fork prong.
ey7 - follow the seeing organ with what happens when you open and close one rapidly.
thanks haz
ya8 - Japanese food. An animal, a vowel and Miss Spelling.
Okay, off to do the housework. Enjoy the grid!
ty haz
Bye!

hi sue

speculation buy outs happen here a fair bit

no housing market here at all, pretty much, small town in the middle of the cornfields

Mock turtle soup does not actually contain turtle, its main ingredient is an entire cow’s head.
lol Crossy, I knew it contained beef, but not that it contained the cow's head. *No**to self to not eat Mock Turtle Soup ever again*
hello Kenny, paste tense of eat + not less but **re + you use **rn when knitting

Hi Mr Bob
Lets try that again. Wife reminded me that today is our wedding anniversary. TROUBLE
Hi Ouwachita. past tense of eat + not less but **re + you use **rn when knitting
oops Mr Bob. But see you show her everyday how special she is so today is just another day in paradise :-)
thanks mom...got it
tho, I don't knit...those needles hurt
anyone need a clue before i leave?
Nor do I Ouwachita, but I would love to someday
love to knit - knit easter baskets to have on the table as decorations
morning again, all! breakfast time
Hi uusue
that sounds neat WVteach and good morning
morning all
it was fun and quick to do - a friend showed me the pattern
morning, mom and wv!
yeta
wvteach, is it just knit? or purl as well
both are in the basket - the bottom is just knit, the sides and handles are k1, p1 = it is made in the three pieces and then sewn togerther
also crocheted eggs to put in the baskets
maybe someday I can do that. I have a lot of trouble with increasing and decreasing
Now I can crochet
brb, pup had to go out
only needed to increase and decrease in the bottom part and you could probably do it just straight
lion brand yarn had the pattern for the crocheted eggs - nice to use up small bits of yarn left over from other projects
lion brand yarn website
I will go there wvteach later today
i am part of a prayer shawl group and there are lots of patterns for them - many of which are crocheted
they had a shawl about a month ago that I want to crochet for our son's fiance
Can anyone clue the at7 please ;-)
Hi Norma, I can
past tense of eat + not less but **re + use **rn to knit or crochet
clue for the bottom right N
Hi Wildcat, sorry I don't have it
That clue was brilliant Mom thanks ;o)
Not got that far yet wildcat
you're welcome Norma

Hi car

could be aunt
I just checked my baby lilac bush; it is flowering for the first time this year (I've had it for two years) and the flowers and bright red-violet. I've never seen one that color
may be either - lol
Ack, not out + vowel
neither
Lilacs are beautiful Ruby and I love their scent.
thanks for the em 6 word
hi kje and molly
it will be years before I dare cut the flowers as the bush is still very small.
Hi Molly
it's a "someday" plant
((ruby))
yesterday I made little "dresses" for the strawberries to keep the berries off the ground
((crossy))
wow... quite a garde... what all do you grow?
red and black currants, raspberries and blackberries, apples (but not sprayed, so they are wormy), quince, figs, two kinds of plums
and flowers!!!!!
the only sprpay we use is called bouillie bordellaise because it isn't dangerous for the pups
(I answered your mail, kje)
mmmmmmmm figs!
what kind? I like the green calmyrna
ok
we are a bit far north for figs, and usually they fall off before they ripen, but I've had more than a dozen a couple of times
mine are green but I have no idea of the name
I have it in the most sheltered spot in the garden, against a wall, directly south-facing
It's a happy tree, but one hard spring rain can take off the nascient figs
right now it is very dry.....
ok, ruby... will look to see if I ca get up that way. Looks like trai service is 6+ hours!
I am debating about a car. from what I have read, I ca train it all over italy for pretty cheap, but may rent to go into france
through beautiful mountains! servicer to chambery and then on to Annecy might work in fewer hours and then you can stay overnight!
if you do that, there are about 12 tunnels between Aosta and the Mont Blanc Tunnel, but it's a pretty short drive compared to the trains
I have drive from geeva through the alps to florence in december - gorgeous!
and Milan to Aosta isn't very far.....
we are 1 hr 40 mins from Aosta
(add n's where needed)
ok, will check it out
thats one good thing about europe, everything is nice and close..lol we have to drive for 3 weeks to get out west:/
who needs n's anyway?

*contestants..
inless you be lieve in reincarnation, then it will be like this.....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xf4_Xv PWMI
only on jeprody i think
Ok..but why??
not sure..i used to wonder bout things like that, but it was keeping me up at nights...
If the question is " Who is the President of the USA" the answer is B Obama..but they say.."Who is Barack Obama"..but in such a way the question mark isn't there..
lol
u avoid tv as much as i can,but i will watch good movies
and with jeprody the qiestion will be "i am the first black president" then the answer will be "whos is obama"..i think

I ran my 6 miles.
Enjoy the dinner, Kazzer.
I'll do my exercise (1 hr hike) after work this evening.

News on your hip, Red? You can run despite the hip issue?
I should probably go and get some candy and donuts if I am going to crave them.
take off the last letter of the ta5, sammy
Goodish news on the hip. Labrum is not torn.
THere is impingement and some irritation of a very big tendon. So Physical therapy, run within reason, and recheck in 6 weeks and then in December consider how bad the pain is.
thats good news red.
I am trying to avoid surgery....
well the not torn part i mean
It is, I am pleased.
good morning everyone :)
im trying to avoid surgery myself as well....
All of it is pretty good, and my PT is handsome.
Pyriformis syndrome"
Ugh I cant believe that i have only just got the me 6/21
Hi nan
JUST TO SHOW YOU HOW WIDE AWAKE I AM. IT IS THE last ta4 that i need....... going for coffee
thats a bonus!
got it
Well, not the words he used. I dont know about my piriformis.
Something about tendonopathy of an adductor tendon. But I have to admit, I didnt pay much attention. I think PT is generally a bunch of hooey.
It can cause sciatica, red.
I need a clue for the at 7, please?
past tense of eat, then **re or less, then **nkee doodle dandy?
For an active an athletic person PT isn't as needed.
thats for the at7
Ahh, my pain is not siatica. I have siatica on and off, this is more in my groin.
ty cos -- what a strange word
yw :)
I get sciatica occ and have had 3 terrible episodes in my life. Usually on the L but recently some twinges on the R.
ah now found the me6
help cos!
OK I need a new nail trimmer SO....I shall go to the store obtain that and obtian a donut as well. Feels slightly guilty, but not too much...
see you all later!
Just quell the craving and get that over with. That is my approach to cravings.
Sciatica is awful Scrabs. I've had it.
Neuralgia is intense, burning, severe pain--so bad.
fireworks for me - horray - off to burnt sausages and spicy chicken
Congrats and enjoy Kazzer!
Oh man, My Mom is dealing with horrible neuralgias now. She got a cortisone injection and he irritated the nerve, and 5 days later she got shingles, running right on that nerve line, and now she is diagnosed with Lymes.
How nuts is that?
thnx - see you tomorrow
COngratulations Kazzer...
Yuck, red. Lyme disease too?
sorry was outside. red... the me6 is something from space
me6 storms
hi, all, stopping in briefly between classes
Scrabs, did you see the article in Sunday's NYTime magazine about Dr. Wakefield from England. The discredited autism/vaccine guy
i cant find the em6 :(
Hi Sue.
Yes, it was like a triple whammy. She is starting to feel better.
Hi sue!
na 6/30, please?
No, bichon.
Worth reading on line
nvm found it
I read about the article, bichon, but haven't read the article itself
I will look for it. We tell parents that he admitted faking the data, but vaccination is such an emotional for so many parents that they cannot rationally see the enormous benefits of vaccines.
It's a shame that some children got childhood diseases by not having children vaccinated.
must be tough dealing with parents that won't vaccinate, scrabs. I hear that measles and whooping cough are both on the rise :-(
I know some parents who believe him and changed the schedule of their child's vaccination
My hubby had diptheria and whooping cough as a small child [post war Germany]. He almost died
It makes us crazy that the emotional fear of immunization side effects outweighs the fear of deadly diseases, diseases that are rarely seen now BECAUSE of imms. I just found the NYT article.
ey7 is a word? i thought it was 2 separate words
I remember doing spinal taps on kids with bacterial meningitis and pus would pour out of the needle.
What is second half, cos?
please send me the url scrabs -- our grandchildren are not being immunized because d-i-l blames the eldest's asberger syndrome on a measles vaccination
something you do with your eye... when you flirt maybe?
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/04/24/maga zine/mag-24Autism-t.html?_r=1&scp=2&sq =andrew%20wakefield&st=cse
I wonder how strict public schools are about not letting un imunized children attend
Sorry for long URL, Nan, I don't have tinyurl creator here on office PC
that's ok -- ty scrabbs
bich, when i worked for des moines public schools they didnt ask for my immunization records which i found very odd
Nan + bichon--go to www.vitamindcouncil.org and read the autism section--when I first read that 4 yrs ago I got goosebumps.
There is growing evidence that vitamin D deficiency underlies autism.
My d.i.l. psotponed some of grandchild's vaccines, so as to space them apart
Really Scrabs. Do you have a link to that.
Parents that refuse to vaccinate claim "religious exemption". Their "personal" religion.
I also know someone who refused to feed her baby anything but breastmilk until he was over a year. He had Vitamin D deficiency and anemia
http://www.vitamindcouncil.org/health/ autism/autism-information.shtml
Spread the news, Nan and Bichon.
interesting about vitamin d and autism - to my mind one of the really sad things about the focus on the non-existent link between vaccines and autism is that it detracts from research into what actually does cause autism.
Yes, but parents of autistic kids want an explanation, something to blame.
I have sent the link to my d.i.l. Out of 16 children in my granddaughter's pre-school class, three have Aspergers
I have taken the Autism Quotient Test and test out as Asperger disorder! I am shy, introverted, have social anxiety, am quirky, have an eidetic memory, ...
Be back very soon
ok, off to class, bbl
missing the na 6 and the ya 8 -- any clues for either?
ya8 ...... is... lemme see...
big animal + vowel + UK political party
na6 is... nickname of a girls name then a word for family?
wow -- ty cos -- another strange one -- wonder if it is another phillipino tree!!
ty again cos
*!* ta da *!* - thanks for the help :)
yvw :)
i need the no6 if u dont mind :)

thanks :)
any other clues wanted before I leave?
no thank you :)
bye everyone -- have a great day :)
if a tree gets fireworks and no one is around,, can anyone hear it?
guess not :)
Happy Birthday Cos. I hope all your birthday wishes come true.
Is anyone else having a problem with Scrabblers NYTimes url?
Here it is again, Sally: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/04/24/maga zine/mag-24Autism-t.html?scp=2&sq=andr ew%20wakefield&st=cse. Or go to nytimes.com and enter Andrew Wakefield in the Search box.
morning, all
Hi TNC. I forget, are you in Las Vegas?
EM 6 and 7? MO 5/16 (last one)
I'm in Reno
Aha. I will be flying in and out of Vegas in June--hiking vacation in Bryce, Zion and Grand Canyon.
I have none of those, Bichon, but will look.
mo5/16 adds to the mo4 prior
em6 = em + vowel + a metal
em7 = em6 + vowel
em 6/7 is a poisonous alkaloid
An anti-emetic agent = a drug to prevent vomiting.
thanks
NA 6/18
United Na****s = UN

good night everybody. I'm going to look up scrabbler's test
I took the test again--I got a 32 once again.
what is the test?
hi again all, back from class and eating lunch.
I have that NA, need the other (not UN)
I have that NA, need the other (not UN)
I got a 22, scrabs, so normal but just barely :-)
I have a na6/30 that is like the thing that you put on your lap at dinner but with a different third letter
Scrabbler, took the test got a 17, normal, it says. I have my doubts. lol
Good blog post about measles outbreak in Europe: http://theness.com/neurologicablog/?p= 3160
Mary, 17 is way more "normal" than me.
And Sue, for a science geek 22 is lower than I expected.
What is "the test?"
Duh... nevermind... Reading helps I guess :/
Autism Quotient Test--interesting test designed by Simon Baron-Cohen, an expert on autism, and Sacha Baron-Cohen's bro.
well, I'm actually pretty chatty and personable (29 years of teaching, maybe?). If I had taken it 30 years ago the result might have been quite different.
And I am shy, introverted and live in my head, so I find socializing to be a lot of work, but I have come a long way from 30 yrs ago
I am nice and personable but socializing is WORK for me
Hm, I smell something burning. I suspect someone overnuked their food.
I think it was my brain taking that test...
anyway, lunch done, back to the eternal grading...
only 1 left to go, at7/40 help pls?
I got a 20...
At + feelings are also called ***tions + yin and **ng
Alas, also normal, Gobias.
That is good to know :)
didn't I also get a 32 scrabs?
ty Scrabb, fireworks.
Congrats Mary
yay, Mary! (ok, so I'm not grading yet)
Wildcat, what was your score? I thought that you are quirky too!
Yippee Mary!
I thought it was the same as yours. Yes, I'm as quirky as you :)
okay i am a 12 so what does that mean?
Sorry, wildcat, I read it as "Why didn't I also get a 32?" You did get 32 or 34 and thus are in the Quirky Club with us.
JM, you too are "normal."
I recently had the opportunity to try to explain all this to a bf. He didn't get it
you can be in the "normal" club with me :)
Has he noticed your quirks, Wildcat? I haven't even gotten to the boyfriend part yet, LOL.
um yeah he noticed.
Thanks Scrabs for that Vitamin D and autism info. I sent it to my d.i.l.
crossy is back for a few more;)
well i am rarely accused of being normal
yes..yes...ty for that wonderful welcome..please..please..do not applaud, just throw money....
:)
i couple of similar test i have taken concluded i was a man
i am fairly sure i am not a man
crossy checks his breath....
red screen of death here...
silent treatment here..howdy sue
*wonders if there is ever a white screen of death*
ok, finally got my yo word added, just need one more for nbt (have nbs)
hi, jmc and crossy!
hi crossy you were welcoming yourself so well i didn't se how i could add to it
crossy sulks in his invisibility...
she sees me!! sue sees me!
crossy dances with joy!
you were visible but I was mute, crossy, very frustrating :-)
no one said hi to me either crossy but you don't see me sulking
crossy does the snoopy happy dance....
i am more needy jmc
okay must reboot my computer
ptttttttt
continues snoopy happy dance...
*heating up some tea, wondering if crossy will ever calm down*
whew! some tea will be nice sue, earl grey perhaps or some nice orange pekoe? i find darjeeling a tad weak and boring...
crossy like his tea strong enough to stand the spoon up in
sorry, crossy, you'll have to ask my SO for the earl grey, I am more of a herbal tea person (NOT REAL TEA he snorts)
herb tea...errr..
i leave that sort of stuff for pandas and deer to chew on...lol sorry sue, could not resist
meanwhile I finally found the i from that lower central one and have nbt
Does anyone have the at7?
yaa for sue!!
well, this is lemon zinger so would have to be a well-traveled panda or deer to chew on all the stuff in it
i have it, smith, just trying to figure out how to clue it
mmm lemon panda....
My monkeys have given up...
so here goes. at7 = past tense of eat + I want **re (not less) + sooner or later we will have to mow the **rd
is a hybrid of two fruits – the sugar-apple ( Annona squamosa) and the cherimoya (Annona cherimola
there is a tropical fruit that ends in the same 4 letters, apparently this one is a hybrid of that one
SNAP, crossy :-)
open up for the choo-choo and say ahhh...hehe
lol
Awesome! Thank you!!
a toughie to be sure
Now I can poof!
i am told of late that "poof" is a derrogatory word in many cultures and have now begun using "poink" instead
as crossy has inadvertantly offended a few euros:/
as in we were happy and gay. no longer has the same meaning. phooey.
here we do not even care, but it is still a naughty word in the u.k i am told
well my brother is gay. In both senses! he's one of the happiest people I know. I keep saying I want some of whatever he's on!
we do not care you you live with or marry..well there was that one exception where a lady approaced the powers that be with the request to marry her horse..she was of course turned down as the steed was not of the age of consent...
when asked to say "I do", he probably said "Neigh"!
lol
horse? oh lord.
Oh mixi6... that's soooo bad.
indeed, she wished to wed her beloved horse
lol
I don't even want to think about the honeymoon.
or wedding night!
a chalistine joining one must assume...
me thinks she was spoiled by a male who would do anything for a carrot or a sugar cube...
so what exactly is wrong with the p**f word?
the chog has certainly been racy the last couple of days
remember kiddies come on from time to time
3 furlongs at least jmc...
it is a rude slang for gay uu
poofter i always thought though
lol, point taken jmc..i will reign it in...
howdy do, all?
but someone seems awfully sensitive considering one of our most beloved members was nancyboy
howdy jes:)
hi jes
gee, and here I thought I knew everything :-) never heard that one!
try dictionany.com and page down uusue.
i have been corrected on it a time or two,the only reason i mentioned it
yeah i probably do know them all as i get called them all
oh, i don't doubt it, just never heard it.
some places in the world are still uptight about it all it seems
bbs - gotta pick up papers -
oo goody new things to grade?
help with the bottom T please
accck! stumbleupon is down!!!!
i got here from stumbleupon and never used it again
lol
thats how i found babble as well
i wish i thought that there was another game like babble out there for the days when babble is too short :-(
which, btw, is not today
stumbleupon, the perfect thing for those like myself with the attention span of a goldfish:)
this grid is a bitch
i have looked jmc..and there is not...
there are lots of crosswords though
ok, back, this set is already graded, jmc, I just need to record the grades into Blackboard (online grading system)
computer grading templates...wild....
there are picture puzzles I do called griddlers (www.griddlers.net) which i think is where i found babble (people who like this also like that, or something)
so,no more backbreaking hours pouring over term papers by candle light with just you and a bottle of drambuie? lol
I found Babble in August 2006 via StumbleUpon<---great way to both zone out and find great websites.
like the old Concentration tv show uu?
no, I still do the grading, just the gradebook is online
"yeow" is so a word!
That site looks interesting, Sue. I will investigate it later. I don't have enough obsessions in my life yet.
that's what i said jes
no, jmc, these are japanese puzzles sometimes called nonograms, there is a list of numbers outside a grid that tells you how many spaces to color in, then when you get done there is a picture
you could save the world like me scrabs that takes up a lot of time
oh more like those things in the crossword puzzle books
Yep, work takes up a chunk of my life.
i tried saving the world once,it got in the way of reading,so i compromised and saved my town instead
the added advantage is that i never get done because i am so inept
right, jmc, although the online ones are much more user-friendly
heh. so pragmatic, crossy :)
and i don't know if i can save the world but maybe i can teach it some physics (along with some critical thinking)
when i was too young to do crosswords my mother would save those for me
one must be sensible in these things jes
i would save my town but congress would veto it
i am not so ambitious; i generally constrain myself to saving individuals.
sue,you must read this, been saving it for you,was a physics paper handed in....
http://www.religioustolerance.org/hell _tem.htm
sorry chemistry exam
ah yes, crossy, I remember seeing this many years ago. very cute.
mm,seems it is an old one
ok, the universe is smiling on me today (or at least snickering) - the candy machine just gave me TWO candy bars!
What kind, Sue?
morning everyone
Hi Berri
hi scrabbler
cant believe I have 10 left and still a tile with 0/1

Baby Ruth, scrabs

i only have one but it's to do with a country
thanks uusue2
nat 6 one Na**** under...
at7 is eaten, then a salad dressing with the vowels switched
thanks!
best clue i have heard for that all day berri:))
thanks I got it from someone else though
the dressing is 4 letters long?
yep
NI 5?

an internal auditor or a tax office auditor?
contract worker that i would fire but i am too far along in the process this time
lol taxation auditors from the govt just make up their own numbers and you have to prove them wrong
instead i have to correct everything multiple times
and the more a number problem is broken down, the more room for mess ups;((
you would think a CPA would have some pride in his work
never get one close to retirement,he or she is just calander watching
this man is younger than i am \
he owns his own company and sat in my office fussing at a contract worker for being sloppy
hello babblers!
hi jilly
we had a govt auditor crunch our numbers for 97-99 and deemed we made ten cents a litre on the fuel side of the business.i had to pull out every single bill of lading and the fyel pricing for 2 bloody years before she would relent and see that we were averaging 4 cents a litre
well i think i am going home now. I have corrected this stuff 4 times today and i am DONE.

Hello everybody! I finished last night (well, early this morning) and have to rush off in a few minutes (bridge night). Just wanted to let you know that the next icon theme is FUROSHIKI and if you google it and go to Images there's lots to choose from. Meanwhile you can read up on what it is in my profile.

what saddens me is that his parents wasted those last few years:(
yes, crossy -- and he just emanated goodness -- how could they?
being that he most likely hid who he really was for some time, im guessing they wasted more than that...
indeed
good job Crossy thogh am late to the party.
Sorry, but I have to leave now and get an early supper, then go to bridge. Happy babbling, those who haven't finished -- and using morewords isn't cheating.

I have Hoover Pini
I used to have a Kirby...never could figure how to use 1/2 the attachments...
...does it work for you, reparteena?
<-- considering a purchase of 'something' that works
i'm savng for a dyson animal...

Yes, however I dont know how the suction is compared to others. I use it mainly to refresh the rug the dog uses in the LR
might have to look it up
refresh or recover carpets spots due to dog?
the animal is only a vac though. but apparently it has good sucking power...
OK the YA 8 has GOT to be a made up word.

we are afraid of floods this spring, we have so much snow in the mountains.

we had this happen back in the 80's. The powers that be are afraid we will warm up very suddenly causing sudden melting and big floods.
well I sure hope that does not happen, doxy
me too.
I would just like some warmer weather and sunshine.
I will send you some
just a little not enought to cause any flooding
ok, I would love it

sounds like em**** (what they give to make you vomit) but ends in part of the fork
em7 = em6 + vowel
ty pini
ey7 = optical + what it does when you're flirting
running into the hot tub.... later
that ey7 should not be a word
ps - hi dorens ;)
give me abreak! WANK is more of a word than ey7
agreed, lil*...not sure any other body part does that particular movement
good point, pini

I mean, really...can you imagine a butt****? LOL
I think a buttwi4 might be called a poot
ROFL

* monkeying the various, but limited vowels *
in + fork part
