* attempting to dive in gracefully *
i am so out of here poof
thx lickety
and this sis not helping
Thank you, Lickety!!!
phantom suffrage
Thanks LIkety
nothing over 5 - can't remember seeing this before

me either but I like 4 letter words
flip a bit late
and thanks to Lickety again!
Lickety is not working...old list
same here, but no matter, almost done
you don't really ne** it, erda
lickety old list is showing for me too
stuck at 17 words ugh
36
stuck at 8!
I'll make a list when I finish, unless someone else does first
possibly -- but having Lickety is a mighty crutch!!
Flosey -- great writeup and icon! I'm late -- still too taken up with
(oh, wait...I'm distracted by the news)
The Wdding
news, pini?
thanks jilli - I taped the whole thing, not knowing just when the wedding would come in so watched it this morning
well, since someone called suffrage, I'll make do with epigene
TV news (recap of today's memorial service)
Degus is a word
degust?
almost chose same icon you have jilli
No Degus its a errr
Degu sorry it is a rodent
I watched the BBC wedding -- went to bed at 5 am, slept till 1 pm
Hey is Lickety still here. His page has the right date, but the list is still from the last grid. Maybe it can be fixed? Anyway, I am signing off. Be back later today.
hi and bye min.
brb
21 words. ugh.
wow, jilli, I couldn't do that, had to be out of here 9:30
one more, been stuck for a while

Hi Stid
hi stid
hi stid
amazing, grem!
list in profile
my monkeys are dying
Has anyone got Lickety's right list? It hasn't appeared on my faithful laptop.
no jilli
Hello stid!
no, and I tried restarting, refreshing both places, etc.
not available here, jilli
seems to me it would make a lot more sense to have the puzzle solver built into BabbleExpert to avoid problems like this
Guess we should email him or send him an FB message...
grem, you could email him and suggest that ... ?
35 now ;)
the issue gremlinn in the past has been that the Expert doesn't use exactly the same enable list dr g uses, hence it requires tweaking the final list on a regular basis.
go pini go
oh, 1/2-way, nbt, nbs ;)
down to 42, working on NBT first.
ahh
smarty smarty, pini, lol!
I'm falling asleep, not going to last long tonight
* giggle *
go pini go!
I have a solution to that too, if the word list was an external text file, then we could have someone host that for downloading purposes
I see, stid. Bummer.
that's out of my league grem, not very computer literate here
Grem, you need to talk to |Lickety!
then a change to the word list would not require a patch to the Expert itself
I'll jump on him after the next puzzle tomorrow and suggest it, I guess
(thankfully this isn't too bad...doesn't take much to monkey 4's and 5's)
(IMO, of course)
halfway
Please do, grem!
go cos go!
hello everyone :)
hi nan
well, i don't fe4 great, so going away. back tomorrow. **hugs nan on the way out** *poof*

it's much less stinky if there are no 6's and up

too bad digel isn't a word -- this grid is enough to give one indigestion!
dumb grid. A waste of a good insomnia.
yeah, looks like it, kap
the concept of wasting insomnia is throwing my brain for a loop
Merry Christmas everyone..I finally got nbt..the Y lol
ty west and hi!
hi jilli
now I just need the U for nbt
watching the world news keep getting teary eyed over the wedding
wasn't it just perfect?
west, I'm still floating there
absolutely perfect
stalled at 39 -- will look for the last 17 tomorrow :)
well -- I did think Wills was going to fall alseep early in the service when they sat in the corner.
I don't concur.. but I am glad you liked it
I'm just an old softie I always cry at weddings
except my own lol
*after I go and buy a fascinator to wear to England! -- weren't some of them absolutely ridiculous?
what's a fascinator?
I don't think I want to ask ruru why he doesn't concur. It was such happiness in an unhappy world I want to cling to it.
Princess Bea took the prize
most of the ugly headwear the women wore at the wedding -- Eugenie's wasn't much better!
true nan what were they thinking?
a fascinator is a little hat sort of thing. I you had watched you might have learned a thing or two, not just about hats or trivialities.
I just watched bits of it---politics and class consiousness aside, it was nice to see people happy. So little of that in the world.
jilli do you know who the bridesmaids and pageboys were?
It was magnificent.
I was wondering if Edward and Sophie's daughter was one of them
she'd be about the right age I think
they were nieces and nephews of William and kate, as I understand it.
I believe she was.
the queen's great-grandchildren and nieces-- exept for the 3 year old girl who is Camilla's granddaughter
Edward and Sophie were married on our anniversary
they were precious
Camilla (shudder)
yes - one of them was their daughter
I have cu 5 ... what are the other c's?
if you google royal wedding you can find all the info
I was married on my parents' anniversary, June 14 -- in 1947, the year the Queen and Philip were married in November
I have a cu 4/9 and 5/20 plural
*yawn*
that's the only c that I have ruru
how lovely jilli
Camilla is not beautiful outside, but inside is another matter.
you all picked Flag Day jilli lol
I hear Camilla is good at gardening
But my parents couldn't be there -- they were in China, settling post-war matters.
Clues are up
Inside Camilla? All I can think of is Charles infamous longing. Ewwwww.
not sure what happened
thanks lick
ah, thanks again, Lickety!
thank you lickety
Oh kap, be kinder than that.
oh ty lickety -- maybe I will finish tonight
I thought all of the Middleton women outshone everyone else!
I'm sorry- I am not a fan. That was what was so nice about today- no sham.
they are certainly beautiful nan
golly gee the top oil companies have made $379 million profit per day in the past quarter. Wonder how that happened.
(still watching the news )
done!
*!* ta da *!*
Yay ruru!
^5 ruru
Yay ruru and nan !!
And hooray -- Lickety's clues showed up on th desktop this time.
high 5's nan
and yay nan!
lked the smaller grid today
Great.
Great.
ruru serious wine question..sometimes reds don't agree with me would an aerator help?
going to run -- eyes keep closing on me! See you tomorrow :)
I think that's what they're called
night nan
bye nan nice seeing you again
drink white!
nbt/nbs
but I like the reds too
wtg jilli !!
probably the tannins or the oak that is bothering you
whites can't substitute for reds
what do you mean don't agree with you?
oh yes they can!
sometimes I get heartburn
There are the Naked Grape reds -- unoaked, nice.
oh.. just from reds?
we just finished a bottle of shiraz that was good
seems like it ru
I get migranes from all red wines
you might try taking one benedryl before drinking red.. the histamines might be bothering you
I know some people like that nan
* and chardonnay -- unfortuneately many restaurants don't know there are other whites!
hmmm might put me to sleep though
and that should give yo a real knockout punch, lol!
or two benedryl if it doesn't put you to sleep
I wish I could get to sleep.
take a zantac before drinking
getting an aerator wouldn't help?
benedryl wires me up
Big dtomorrow and I'm screwing it all up.ay
night all
night nan
That was not supposed to be pig-Latin. Myy cursor jumps.
good night nan
We speak pig Latin, kap, lol.
what's happening tomorrow kap?
you might also try taking pepsid before drinking red.. start with lighter reds like Pinot Noir or Beaujolais and build up in power to see what happens
I don't have any ambien- sure could use some.
wonder if KJE liked the wine I recommended
I will try that don't want to give up red wine
I could sleep standing up..
you could also drink water too at the same time west.. it could be the higher alcohol in the reds
generally do that
now that sounds like a very good idea, ruru
I doubt it is the tannins.. because whites have tannins too
I have to drink water when drinking reds or I get a migraine.. I can't mix red and white any longer now that I am older
the bane of age I've been noticing it more and more
i hear ya.. me too
The Bane of Age. I like that.
boy, am I lucky age does not wither nor custom stale
maybe we could all start a rock group
it's a Bane in the Ass if you ask me
Can I be nominated to the post of the Bane of Age?
lol
A fossil group, that is.
you could be the head Banal kap..lol
Oh good grief. Ruru is here and I have insomnia.
??? Should I be offended?
No- itmeans I will be awake punning.
your should be proud, ruru
oh...
That's right.
I am the bane of my own existence.
welll... now I feel better
The bane in Spain is mainly in the brain.
I think I've got it.
no bane.. no gain
I have Open Studios all weekend and I have to be "on" and insomnia sabotages it.
oh..I'd hate not being able to fall asleep
one of the evil tricks of menopause that insomnia
Sucks when I don't have any meds.
I'm drinking ginger brandy.
You got it.
Mrs Ru gets up all night
Poor Mrs. Ru. Poor me.
I keep telling her if we'd have sex .. she might sleep better
..lol...
Sex? What's that?
being the thoughtful husband that I am...
So selfless.

hello good day everyone
Hello all.
and one clue: as usual, seaweed plural makes for sniggers in the U.S.
bye all: I'm away to the garden again.
good morning
what a small grid for a Saturday!
hello again all :)
{{mrp}}
(((ruby))) !! my go on lex!
did you see the game with seaindc? I thought that would be fun, circling the globe!
Mornin' all. You are right Ruby too small for a Saturday.
hellooooooooo
Mornin' all. You are right Ruby too small for a Saturday.
they wait until weekdays for the 300+ grids and who has time?
va va varumba!!! hello
lol ruby, i kind of agree with you! hellooo
this grid is so difficult, it probably won't even matter.
Right Ruby. I barely had time for the 305 and now that I have a leisure day we get 56.
I think I got half of the 305 and ran out of time. Plenty of time today, but this is too hard for me; I probably won't even get half
It does look challenging I must admit.
It does look challenging I must admit.
but I'm worse than most!
It does look challenging I must admit.
It does look challenging I must admit.
It does look challenging I must admit.
It does look challenging I must admit.
Sorry.
It does look challenging I must admit.
lol
having chat problems odin?
sounds like a cat walking across
IPad doesn't. babble well. Sorry.
not to worry :)
At least it's something to read since I can't find any words -- have 16 so far and have to leave in a minute
Hangs up in chat frequently. Annoying, but is all I have today. Big overhaul on the house computer system so I hope to be back on the big boy next week.
am sure lickety's will help you find the missin gones later on Ruby
I nver list, just try for at least half and nbt. If there are a few left much later, and FM and Crossy are on, they sometimes drag me across the finish line.
is i tyour own challenge not to list?
in a year and a half I think I've had fireworks 5 or 6 times, total! :(
the fun for me is to see how many words I can get when I first see the grid. The rest of the time, I just enjoy chatting with my friends and finding the occasional word
i see
I will need likety later I am sure about that. It is a real challenge to get some of these grids completed.
I have enough challenges just keeping this house running!
this is one of the few respites
lolol
and now, hoofbeats overhead and I'm off~!!!
bye ruby, have a good day
Later Ruby. Have a good one.
well i'm off to breakfast myself
syl all
Later varumba.

Hi Molly

ty... molly...
Morning Mom. It's a good day. I'm going to get a pedicure. Time for Summer feet.
sounds delightful Molly
It's my once or twice a year treat to myself. I usually do them at home.
I am going to approach Autism Outreach' and see if they have any
my toes would fall off if I ever put polish on them
hi guys pizza recipe: ham and cheese base left-over bolognaise sauce cherry tomatoes anchovies cheddar& mozzerella cheese (combined) black olives cook for 13 minutes on 200 degrees C in fan-forced oven Eat!
terri just served it up to me and it is absolutely awesome! Thank you terri
I love that you can use left-over sauce, you know, when you have some in a bowl but it's not enough for a pasta meal
the ham and cheese base is in place of a crust?
I love leftover bolagnese sauce in a small bowl and crack an egg on top, microwaved for 2 minutes (pierce the egg first!)... enjoy with vegemite and cheese soldier toast!
No, Mom, you use a cheap, shop bought ham and cheese pizza base and jazz it up. Cheap and so tasty! Doesn't taste like a supermarket pizza at all
I see
A frozen ham and cheese pizza, essentially
gotcha
the base can also be made with pita bread, pizza sauce and garlic, with all the other ingredients added... very nice homemade comfort food
I have never seen ham and cheese frozen pizza. I know at the pizzerias ham and pineapple pizzas are very popular
Ok, then just buy a cheese pizza or magharita pizza
Thank Terri
I think this is the first time I have seen a grid with only 4 and 5 letter words... and only 13x5 letter?? wow!
I agree MrP
13 left here
suicide is my phantom

i am glad you were!
And I think I just tossed the last two pills I had to take
Thanks Just takes me a while
i never hurry to doctor either
but a week is a long time to be sick
I guess I will ahve to check the bin in the kitchen.
Well I am stubon as a mule
:-) no? really? ;-)
yes:P
argh this grid it little and mean
I hate small grids
i am not found of them either since they empty the chog and they tend to be really stupid words
true
now here is a very interesting little app for those of you who have lost a camera or had one stolen....
http://www.stolencamerafinder.com/
I have my contact details on my camera USB thingy
this tracks you camera via the pictures it took before it was lost or stolen
Nice
i do not know what i hate most tiny grids full of un-words like this or monsters over 400..my preference is 150-300
So i take one of those photos on my pc that was from my camera drop onto photo and then what?
then it uses a tracking number from it and will seach the web for all pics taken with that camera
O nice so then say for instance I take your camera and then use it and post it on my FB it will then say it is on Cross Hair fb page?
it will bring me direct to you facebook page showing the pics, then you can begin the detective work
so eventually you can track down exactly who is currently using it
But what if those pics are set on me only?
it doesn't work for my camera :-(
i need to head off and pretend i am doing something--at least fe** my cat
i do not know herin, you will have to play with it..not all cameras will work with it but many do
The 'Canon Canon DIGITAL IXUS 70' does not write serial information in the exif. See the supported cameras page for a list of models that do
Me either
there we go,they have a camera list
BUT it is an interesting concept
very interesting
Considering the amount of camera's that get pinched on holidays or left on tables
technology is a wonderful thing sometimes
my son's camera was stolen from his apartment last week so i emailed it to him
When it works stupid ITUNES
i hope it works for him jmc
bye all
Bye JM
I do not like green eggs and ham, I do not like small grids...good morning
Awww.
ni
nearly done
done and bye
Congrats herin...bye
Done...until tomorrow
Good Morning Everybody.
howdy nef...we have a nasty little grid full of small un-words
That describes it perfectly.
i am just randomly mashing 4 and 5 letters together:(
so it isn't just me having problems with this grid! Good to know (yestrdays grid started well; but I never finished since I kept falling asleep entering words that weren't there)
Oh, Geez! I didn't realize that there aren't any larger words! It helps to pay attention, doesn't it?
lol,i knew i was in for it when i hit my first wall just 19 words in
lol thats why i said 4 and 5 letters;))
I need coffee obviously. Before I entered chog I was trying to make words on blackened tiles. BRB with a cup of coffee. Anyone else want some?
thanks nef,i have a tea going
back. Fresh-brewed San Lucas dark roast coffee --very HOT!
Why another short grid on a Saturday??
I once asked Dr_G if he ever throws a new grid if he doesn't like the first one and he said NO; so we are stuck with whatever comes up.
ugh
It seems to be short and wicked, wild. Good Luck!
thanks. I'm over halfway but that doesn't mean anything
If I'd had this grid to do yesterday I would not have seen the wedding! What a toughie..
Dang! When the word my grandson uses for dogs is in the grid; it IS a stupid grid!
not getting that U
hairstyle, wild
thank you
that's a compound word and I always miss those
yw.
xs
Half way. Stinky little puzzle.
Very stinky. I just reached half way
morning all
hi Pini
hey nef
Just as in fishing, I think a grid should be thrown back if it's not big enough.
interesting thought, molly
Lol, Molly!
(list in my profile if anyone needs one)
It would be cool if Babble had three levels to choose from. Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced.
oooh, now there's an idea, molly!
although I can only imagine how much work that would be (to create 3 daily puzzles)
I don't know; I'd try finishing all 3 grids each day! I'd have to retire just to play Babble!
ROFL!
And how would the grid maker know which grid was hard or easy?
word stats?
Well, and it seems they all become advanced at the end. I suppose you'd habeas
I mean 'easy' might only have 4-5 letter words; 'interm' might have those + 6-7; 'adv' might have all of those, plus the real biggies
BBS, I'm being kicked out for a minute
hb nef
Sorry, you'd have to have three different dictionaries.
how's that, uu ?
Habeas was my phone thinking for me. Sorry for confusion.
Habeas was my phone thinking for me. Sorry for confusion.
:)
You could have a kids dictionary with just simple words, then an intermediate dictionary with more words, then the full dictionary with all the words.
So you could play the same grid at three different levels.
gotcha...one dictionary each to cover each difficulty level
Or there could be three separate grids but I think one grid and three levels would be better.
sure...you could still get 'credit' for finishing each level: easy = C, interm = B, adv = A!
The kids level of this grid would have about six words in it, I think :-)
Oh, I think they'd be able to do more than that. My GD (11yo) likes to play with me when she visits...she's getting pretty good - especially with the 4-ltr words ;)
(not the swearing kind, of course! :) )
Another variation might be to allow 3-letter words on the kids level.
Maybe Dr. G could just put an easy, med, hard notation at the top of the grid like he does on the sudoku side
there's an idea, uu...
...just like Boggle...Boggle rules allow 3+ letters; Big Boggle rules start at 4 min
Also true - certain simple but, um, adult words could be left out if the kids dictionary.
*of
...we play Big Boggle with modified rules; nothing less than 5 ltrs
Ooh, you are tough!
Well, doing so allows us to actually be able to talk and makes the lists shorter so we're not just crossing everything off...
* smile *
Ok, I am going to rest a bit. Bbl.
take care ;)
back
Just caught up on the chog. Pini, you are tough (but the idea of chatting more is good! ;-)
:o)
(hold that thought...need to get something to drink) brb
of course, most people don't know I chat much. ;-)
ok. ok. i'm up !!
hi sammys
back
wb, Pini
hi s'mom
I think she hit the pillows again...
those of us who stay up until 5 a.m. playing silly -ass games sleep in until noon
rofl
LOL! Now Who are you talking about, S'mom?
me of course, nef and am waking us a little with the second cuppa and a b 12
Don't worry, s'mom. I've done that myself; and I'm sure Pini has at least once or twice myself
when I was younger maybe! LOL
I was going to say that I've seen you here quite late in the past; but then I remembered you are on PST, so that's 2 hours earlier than my time
41111111111111111122222222222222222222 22222222222222222222222222222222222222 222222222222222222222222222222224
ooops!
grumbling about some fool mowing a lawn until i realised it was walter mowing My lawn .... i am on sm time nef
that was Koda...he's on my lap and decided to lay his head down on the keyboard!
new password code, Pini? ;-)
sm time, s'mom? What's that?
not sure I could handle that as a PW, nef!
sammysmom time
LOL! Koda would help, I'm sure!
doubtful...he'd probably pick the other side of the keyboard next time ;)
Aahh! My husband used to take off his watch when we would go on vacations and call it "Indian time" - you do what you want when you want
yup
now that he's retired, everything revolves around MY schedule
schedule; schmedule; the only thing on my schedule is work M-F 8-5; everything else is indian time ;)
*shocked look*
hi jmc...why shocked?
my work days alternate: Mon & Thurs one week; Tues Wed. the next. Then twice a month Friday clinics. Wed. are always clinic days; clinic days are always 12 hours or more.
hi jmc; what's up?
i used to haver a schedule... now i am like the lady in ther poem by edna stv millay.... and she plants her garden in the moonlight and leaves ther clover standing, and the queen anne's lace
that's too random for me, nef...wow
the phrase reminds me of mexican (fill in the latin american country) time
And I never have just an 8 hour day; they usually are 9 or 10 hours long. But most of the time I don't realize I'm working that long.
i only have specific hours when i have meetings
i have only found 13 words in this stupid thing
I'm down to 19 words left; but all I'm doing is monkeying to find the words
it's doable, jmc...just let the monkeys loose!
Hello Everyone :)
hi sadie
let me know if you want short lists or clues
hi sadie
i think that is my problem with this kind of grid, i want to actually see the words
why did the chog stretch out all of a sudden?
didn't on my end (yet)
maybe it is just mine
nor for me
are you done, Pini?
yes, Nef...I put the list in my profile
CONGRATS to Pini!!! YAY!!!
so lickety is not working?
not today, jmc :(
thx nef ;)
congtrats nef
oh, I take it back...it's working now...wasn't working last night
whoo hoo nef
whoo hoo pini
i think i will list--it's that or kill myself
had to monkey the fu/4... that is not the fu 4 word that i am used to
oh no, jmc, don't do that !
:-)
ROFL s'mom
"sadie, i haven't finished yet; pini did" was not found in the dictionary
imagine that, nef! LOL
what can I say? (I just started to put that in the grid box too!)
You need to use expert, nef!
still not available for Mac's, Pini
you need to convert, nef!
(just kidding)
sheesh still have to monkey even with the list
very true, jmc...thankfully, you only really need to monkey 4-ltrs ;)
I do have a pc laptop, but that keyboard drives me nuts (I have a mini mouse for it, though
true the 5 seem to be pt or pl or *gasp* an occasional real word
Nef, you could always attach a standard keyboard to it
(if they are both USB compatible usually)
speaking of that word.. i recall a big holiday dinner almost 50 years ago with my friend's family and mine..... my oldest daughter about 4 at the time said " what's f........ing mean? dead silence.. then our dear friend jack said.. well, honey, your's saying it wrong .. it is falcon and that is a big bird that looks sort of like an eagle. i never loverd that man more than at that moment
top 2 rows , 2nd column, and 5th colum all black. Making progress
NICE save, s'mom...definitely priceless!
git'r dun, nef!
nice story sammy
Great story SMom.
LOL, s'mom! What a great answer!
hi Molly
Hi Nef
hi molly
Hey JMC. Pretty day 'round these parts.
yeah i just wish i felt better
Oh rats, what's wrong?
hope that turns for the better soon, jmc
i need to mow the lawn, plant the tomatoes, and moved mulch and i just want to stay in bed
very rainy day here
alergies or a cold or something
staying in bed is a good plan too. Just imagine you're in MN in the rain! ;-)
lol the sun is shining too bright here!
oh, well. I tried to help!
The pollen is thick these days. My black car is dusted in yellow film.
little shocked to see fr** in the grid
I havent seen it in so long when it showed up here i had to look twice to remember it was the sun
when it rained the other day the pollen on the back window was so thick i had to wipe the slug off before i could see
I want to wash my car, but I keep thinking, what's the point?
too true molly
good question, Molly
I think I just have to live with it until pollen season abides. If I wash it, it will be yellow again in an hour.
i was so going to go do things today :-(
Maybe rest up today and make tomorrow your busy day.
with talk of all these activities, I should get my list together and get to the grocer, then carwash, then koda to the dog park...supposed to warm up a bit this afternoon (it's 49F right now) and no rain is predicted...
look at it this way jmc you are on here chatting you are doing something lol
i hope so this is getting to be a drag
I got a pedicure this morning. My feet feel 29. I wish the rest of me did. : P
lol sadie!
at least i don't have the heat on in the house!
LOL molly
ok...I'll leave y'all to it for now...back later
nbt! an accomplishment!
bye pini
It was my treat to myself because as of today, I have two kids who are 30 and over. BUT I AM NOT OLD.
wtg jmc!! *poof*
dammmit pini... all that stuff to do. makes me tired... think i will go and see if my recliner is still comfortable and try to get over the mental image of all that activity
bye Pini! HAGD!
congrats molly and happy birthday to the 30-y-old
Thanks wild. He's taking it in a lot better stride than I did. It doesn't hurt that he and his wife are in Jamaica celebrating.
you are a mere baby molly
oooh nice. and why didn't he take his mother?
yeah I've noticed it hurts me a lot more when my children age, especially past those milestone birthdays
because he took his wife ;-)
I have one who will be 25 this year. wonder where the time has gone
Ding! JMC has the correct answer!
my boy turn 25 in November
he couldn't have taken both of you?
i am 60 this summer
then there is flosey and jilli
still young jmc
60 is the new 40.
60 is the new *30* as in don't trust anyone over. . .
wilcat, for some reason I thought you were around 20! hahah
LOL! But thank you ruby!
hello everybody, this is the most difficult grid I've ever attempted
hi ruby
just turned 44
yeah it is even hard listing
Wild, boy and his wife are also celebrating (belatedly) their 4th wedding anniversary. It wasn't a "take Mom along" kind of trip.
I'm listing, alright, about to fall off my chair
ok I guess. next time, right?
One can only hope.
I am feeling quite old reading that you guys have kids that old at your ages. I had both kids after 30; there are times when it doesn't seem possible a younger person can have kids older than mine
hell i am lucky if the boy comes in the house when he comes to mess with the motorcycles in the garage
I can't even get to half and lex on FB isn't working. Alas alack
my son was born when I was 20 and I feel OLD
This was my wonderful "un-birthday" present from my son. "Thank you for everything you taught me growing up. You paved the way for me to grow into the man I am today. I take pride in telling people I take after my Mom."
I was 19 when I had my first
omg molly did you cry?
i was 34 when my boy was born
that is wonderful Molly!
Awww! How sweet, Molly!
I agree, nef, I was 38 when my son was born and sometimes I feel closer to his friends grandparents!
how sweet molly
Oh, Molly, that is so wonderful!
age is all relative anyway ... it's what you choose to be
my mother was 35 when i was born and since i grew up in a poor neighborhood she was older than some of my friends grandparents
i knew lots of 30 year old grandparents
that's a scary idea!
My 32 y/o son just called and dropped a bomb on us: he wants to have a "family birthday" party here tomorrow and wants a "Thomas the Train" cake and an Elmo balloon for our grandson. (We have 3 b'days here this week
Yeah, that works until your body really starts falling apart, wild :-P
amen, sue!
I'm already falling apart sue
yikes! hope you can find the cake
very true, sue
that is what exercise is for uu
sorry nef. gl with the part
my best years in every possible way were from age 40 to 47!
DH is calling around right now for the cake!
*party
and jack daniels helps you forget what the exercise can't help
wine works too
i would tell the 32 year old son to go find the damn cake
gotta go pick up a kid bbl
give me wine wine wine all the time time time
let's all meet in the PB for a dacquiri orsomething. I'm not making any headway in here, that's for sure
WOOT! The grocery store just 1 mile away said they will do it by 6PM!!!
yes, he should bring the cake!
is wine in the grid???
no, only in the PB, lol
I know, jmc, but knee replacements and neck fusions make exercise difficult. I should do more than I do but can't come close to what I did 20 years ago
i bought high end tequila i will make margaritas
poor uu
herradura?
((ruby))
{{crossy}}
Yay, nef!
try the isometric ones that were so popular when we were young
Yay, nef!
Whew! Now what to get for DIL....
we are having trouble getting decent tequila here. Sometimes they have Cuervo Gold, but not often
and the premium ones, never
Yay, nef!
I was picturing Nef at 4AM trying to frost a little face on the train and drinking tequila shots
whoops, got the face a little crooked
lol the stids are the cake decorators
i miss the boy making margaritas -- he started when he was 13
I used to ice cakes the same way I wrapped packages; they looked awful but the insides were fine
what brand of tequila, jmc?
hmmm i will go look i forget
LOL, ruby! I don't even pretend to drink anymore! I found out years ago that I can't handle booze because I pay for it the whole next day. Very rarely I will try a wine spritzer, but not often enough to count on my thumbs
ok, gave up no the phone, now I am back on my computer. won't fnd a lot more words but perhaps I can converse more coherently :-)
milagro
and ruby, my packages and cakes look pretty much like yours, I think!
It's a miracle!!!
you babbling on your phone??
my cake stink -- can't even make them with a mix
I was, jmc
*impressed*
(the miracle was your tequila)
true
it would take a miracle for me to get half the words!
my fancy new phone toy, HTC Inspire. Has problems with its SD card so I can't store files on it (when the semester is over I will get it fixed) but otherwise it really is a fun piece of electronics.
I can't imagine doing Babble on a phone
i can imagine but have not been able to do it on my blackberry
i would never have to carry a laptop again
main problem is that the phone browser doesn't have scroll bars for the word list or the chog
I am down to12 left but with this grid that is like thousands
and anyway it is saturday so i am not in a hurry to finish :-)
21 left and proud of it
7 left here, all consonants
i guess mine are all consonants too
well i succeeded in doing one thing today--got the plans off to the kitchen designer
nice, jmc!
THAT sounds exciting, jmc!
so are mine and that is really odd since i usually can't find the vowells
crossyus saving for a samsung galaxy tablet that ships this fall the 10.1..hehe thing does everything but make yer tea in the morning;)
i am taking my inheritance from my mother and redoing the back of my house--larger nicer kitchen, large bedroom with a deck, solar panels and a spiral stair case from the deck to the roof and an overlook
any clues for the y or either e? I am truly stuck and only have 20 words
very nice
y = christmas
of course most of my entertaining was for the job which i will no longer have
that sounds wonderful, jmc, what will the view be?
the u is a chrstmas word
lower e = snaky
Ben Hur was an ep*** movie
y
that sounds wonderful, jmc. It's nice to have an inheritance to do that with too
someone find me a fish for slapping myself!
and the first four letters of a duck
the up is a hairdo; the y is a Christmas word
I feel much better now, thank you, friends
it does sound lovely, jmc! So presumably you are keeping your house while you do the conflict resolution degree (I am remembering that correctly, I hope?)
I had the up, probably because it was in order!
well since ruby is ignoring crossy i shall head off to work.tc everyone and happy babbling....poink!...none of crossys bacon vodka for ruby...real poink!
yes i will be here while they do the rehab uu
no no crossy, I could never ignore you
I just made you a marguerita!
bummer, missed cross. hey everyone else
Bye crossy, HAGD!
mmm..slurrrpppp...((ruby)))...poof!
blech i am going to go lay down on this beautiful day :-( take some aspirin
hi, stid, and bye, crossy! Save some of that bacon vodka for later!
hi stid
need one more word to make halfway, then off to try to get myself going...
feel better, jmc!!
yeah, just took ibuprofen here, lovely day here as well.
bye all
oh oh... *hands aspirin to jmc* I hope you feel better soon.
bye, jmc! feel better!!!!!!!!!
we finally had rain and fruit is starting to form. I'll have strawberries for the first time and my baby lilac is flowering, also for the first time
feel better soon, jmc
for NBT I would like the topmost A and the U please?
the u is a hairstyle and the a is dog noises
oh, that sounds nice, ruby -- we have had so much rain and cold that nearly everything is delayed. I am pretty certain the plum and the peach trees won't produce much, since they rely on bees for pollination -- and I haven't seen any bees this year!
thanks ruby
that's NBT and down to 24
we always get purple plums, but they're nothing special. the yellow ones, mirabelles, however, are amazing but, unfortunately, the tree doesn't produce much
last year I only made one jar of yellow jam and didn't share it with anybody
I was thinking of planting a mirabelle next year... or a schoolhouse plum (also yellow, but from Western Washington). We'll see how my energy and finances go.
the fig tree is covered with tiny figs, but they usually fall off without ripening; the most I've ever had at one time was about a dozen
some years we have bushels of red plums (a far-east russian variety) -- they make a lovely jam
for me, mirabelle and reine claude are the two best ones
we get a good first crop of figs some years, but the season is too short and the second crop hasn't ever made it (in ten years, still hoping though!)
and all the neighbors have round reddish ones which are nothing special and they always bring me huge amounts
LOL "rain cloud" would be a good plum for around here!
we are marginal for figs but the tree is beautiful and has sort of espaliered itself against the wall in the bottom garden
(it sounds grand, but we are on a rather steep hillside)
I like the shape of the figs, planted all three up against the house and they are lovely, though one at the south end has some sort of fungal infection that I know I should have pulled it out years ago.
there is stuff here called bouillie bordelaise which might work on the fungus
the handyman puts it around all the trees and shrubs and it isn't dangerous for the pups or the insects
I think it has copper in it
ah yes, copper sulfate -- not considered an organic solution, but might be worth thinking of. Will have to research its effects on aquatic species since we are so near the sound
LOL! I just NOW found the sweetener in the grid! Way too hidden for me to see til now (5 words left)
ahah, so that's what it is. He says it's safe for everything
ty nef! I didn't see it either
wiki says "L'activité biocide du cuivre est connue depuis longtemps, mais la recette de la bouillie bordelaise semble avoir été découverte par le chimiste bordelais Ulysse Gayon et le botaniste Alexis Millardet au début des années 1880" -- it's been in use for a while!
go nef go! I am down to 16
Go, stid go!
that is very interesting, stidmama, I am impressed with your french, accent marks and all
cut and paste... I can read about topics I know well without too much trouble.
But to actually use French... not so good.
when we moved here, I could speak but couldn't understand TV or movies. Now, it's part of me and I can go back and forth without thinking about it
<---- just happy that she can still read and comprehend
anyway, I am going to go into town and get some large planters for the dozens of bulbs that arrived this week. Still too damp to work the actual soil, and they must be planted tout-suite!
with all my husband's health problems, it's been a godsend
before I go ruby -- is he doing better? assume he is home now. are you doing okay?
unfortunately, I've increased my vocabulary about things I would rather not know
my specialty is "forgetting" about bulbs until they liquify and then throwing them away!
sounds familiar, ruby! I once lost over a dozen dahlias that way
yeah, that happened to me too when I was living in France with my less-than-10-year-old son, ruby, although I suspect it was rather different vocabulary!
he is doing better, using his new treadmill, and today was fitted for new hearing aids, so maybe we'll start speaking again!
oh, that would be great, ruby! Glad to hear he is better and that he is using the treadmill!
that will be so nice, ruby (I hope) maybe if he can communicate more readily he will feel more upbeat. anyway, that is what I will hope for you.
when John was a baby and we were in Paris, I learned all the French baby songs
(((hugs to all))) au revoir! *poof*
bye, stid!
thank you, stidmama, both for your concern and for your best wishes for him
well, think about 8-year-old boys, ruby, I didn't exactly learn baby songs!
I think that his daughter's visit helped turn the tide
ah, good for her, ruby. Sounds like good news all around.
I can imagine, Sue, we spent 5 months in London when John was 4 and the only place I knew well was the local playground in Regents' Park!
I met a lot of nannies
while husband worked at the British Museum
I have been to the McDonalds on the Champs Elysees, and it was a lifesaver!
too funny!
ah, I was the one working, and was a single mom, so it was rather more complicated. He came along to a lot of things that were not necessarily fascinating for a young child (and was very patient through most of them!)
the only years I ever didn't work were John's first and the year we spent in Europe. But as for the marriage, I might as well have been a single mom! hahah
bad marriage, good travel package!
yes, my marriage was like that until I made it a reality (one of my better decisions, just should have done it sooner)
it was very hard to leave because I had never been on my own
lived at home until I married, etc
ah, I had, and should have known better. Never marry for sex :-)
I was so attached to my mother that I went to the closest college
I did, hahah, ruefully :(
haha, with me it was the other way around - I went to the college that was the farthest away my mother would let me get!
and I had just turned 17 at the time - now I look back and tremble :-)
I lived at home and then married a professor
just 19
by the time I finished school (at 20), I was pregnant
ah, that does happen.
anyway, I think I am going to go take a bath. 7 left but the monkeys need a rest. BBL!
bye sue, see you soon!
3 left D's and P's and I swear they are invisible
hagd, sue!
2 D's left
trying to Babble while orchestrating the b'day party plans isn't going so well. If I don't find these words in the next 5 minutes; I'll leave them til I have the party planned

good afternoon all
hi all - interesting grid tonight
whee - fireworks for me
Congrats! That was fast.
hi all. not a big fan of this grid.
Agreed. Feeling stupid for not being halfway on 56 FREAKIN WORDS!
Very quiet here at the moment! Hello everybody....... anybody?
Hum dum dee dum. Thumb twiddling till somebody comes along........
Sorry Soodle...was buried in morewords to finish this GODFORSAKEN GRID!!!
Here Soodle! Here, girl! SOO-DLE!!!!!
LOL Champ. Do I detect a tad of frustration?
Sillyness, Mrs. Google. :)
Champ! I thought I was all on my owny-ee-oh. Has Morewords helped you?
Absolutely! These are NOT words that are in my arsenal. I make it just about to halfway but had to do it.
*made*
Can I help, Champ. I got fireworks a while ago?
I did too. Stupid words.
Many Non-words in this grid!
Yes. I need to look them all up, but am lazy.
hi again, all!
Hi sue!
Its very very quiet here! Is everybody hungover after the wedding celebrations, do you think?
hello everyone :)
More likely slaving over the goofy grid.
hi, champ, soodle, and mrp!
Ah. :-) Hello Sue and MrP Lovely to see you.
I think small nasty grids have a quieting effect on the chog.
hi sue, soodle et al :) Lovely to see you too!!
i have clues for the grid if anyone would like them
hi everyone
I'm out. Have a great rest of the day everyone!
ooh, tiny!
How's things with you MrP? It was only the other day that I read about all the grief you have been having. Whew..... Thats a heck of a lot going on....
see ya champ
hi, jes, and bye, champ!
Bye bye Champ, and Hiya Jes :-)
hi jes :)
soodle, it is absolutely terrible. I don't know where you are up to
Last update I saw was yourself and Lickety having a 'frank' discussion about moving house..........
yes, mrp, I was reading about your troubles too - hope you are all at least functioning
i should update my profile, but with pending court case, I can only chat when asked questions
last i heard was something about a car bomb...
and your illness - how are you doing? (I assume since it was in the chat it's not a secret)
we don't want to move from here... and we can't afford to at the moment cause I have to pay a shirtload of money for a lawyer
Do you know who set the fire, and more importantly, why they did it?
btw - fireworks!
yay sue!
Hooray Sue.
my cancer is progressing but curable. I have to go to the obgyno. the Polycyctitis Ovarian Syn is a seperate matter that will be dealt with at the same time. I called my SIL to find out about the procedures and what it was like for her and she really 'assured' me by saying after the surgery, it felt like she had 'been raped by Freddy Kruger' !! Just what I wanted to hear!! NOT
on ya sue
Yikes - that was a pretty graphic description! :-(
egads, mrp, sounds awful :-(
so comforting of her!
although I have had a complete hysterectomy (including removal of the cervix) and while it took a while to recover it was not horrible.
not that it's really my business, uusue, but i was actually talking about this with my mom about 2 weeks ago... why do they take the cervix?
soodle, we know who is responsible but can't prove it... however, he has publicly told everyone in our small community that I damaged his car and set fire to his rubbish on his driveway before our car was firebombed. He will be sued as he is spreading malicious lies which has led to the damage to our property. He will also be up on charges of harassment and intimidation. I am not going for a PVO, I am going straight to court to get him removed from my life
we don't take the cervix when we do a hysterectomy in a dog or cat, and she wasn't sure if they did on her or not, but the last doctor she went to declined to do a vaginal exam/pap because she'd had a hysterectomy... prior doctors have done them since the surgery though...
well, in my case I had a family history of breast and ovarian cancer; growing fibroids and an ovarian cyst made the removal of the fibroids and one ovary necessary and I agreed to have the whole thing taken out so I didn't have to worry about the future (at that point I was having ultrasounds every six months - ovarian cancer is notoriously hard to detect).
and my lawyer can have all the punitive damages, I don't want this psychos dirty money
I assume the cervix went along with everything else to minimize cancer risk (although it's been almost 10 years and I don't remember all the details)
ah, mrp, that explains why you need a lawyer for what should be a criminal matter :-(
so sorry you are going through all this, mrp!!!!! {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}
yes sue... and as he holds a liquor license, his business will be over.
ah, good. As it should be.
which totally explains taking the ovaries and uterus... but i would think taking the cervix would shorten the vaginal vault and make sex a bit... less comfortable? and since cervical issues are not typically genetic (that i know of--could be wrong there, though) i just wondered at the reasoning for taking it too.
Good God. Isn't it incredible how nasty human beings can be to each other? It beggars belief.
We are hoping that he has to sell up and move as the double mortgage on his house and no income and paying punitive damages will force him to
that you sue! I am absolutely distraught, my life is upside-down. I am barely hanging in there so is good to talk about it
hello all
hello all
hi peri
On a much lighter note, a very good friend of mine was recently in hospital for a hysterectomy. When I went into see her, she cheerfully said to me 'Not to worry! They took the carry-cot, but they left the play-pen'. What could I do but ROFL?
dunno, jes, and I haven't noticed any discomfort, so that hasn't been a problem. I'll see if I can find out what the reasoning is (although I don't see that doctor any more, as my insurance has changed)
Hello Peri :-)
hi, peri!
hi peri :)
and lol, soodle!
nice, soodle!
((((((((mrp))))))))
good to know, sue :)
and mrp, please do feel free to talk - I know it can be very helpful (I have certainly done my share on here in the past few months!!!)
*hugs and kisses* perir!
bbs
I second what Sue said.... I have often off-loaded on Babble, and I have always received wonderful support. A trouble shared.... and all that :-)
yesterday was particularly distressing, phone calls with more evidence of this prick wanting to defame me and try to destroy my relationship with the volunteer organisation I am with, and the Association I work for. He put it al in email and made threats to people that would not support him in his attempt to defame me.
well, I assume your friends know you better than that, mrp. People like that often overestimate how much effect they have.
in email? brilliant. print that puppy off and keep it! it's so helpful when they are idiotic enough to put their nastiness down in writing
Mr P, Can nothing be done about him. Sureley if there are emails circulating - that is evidence?
(my ex did something like that with people in the church we went to; unfortunately many of them had known him a long time and me not so long; I just don't go there any more)
the 'prick'... (now his monika) only took the PVO out against me to try and convince people that they should believe him as many community members were starting to doubt him... he 'just had to' make himself look like he was right
jes, there are emails and they will be provided to my lawyer to help me
is a pvo a restraining/distance order?
Whats a PVO MrP?
and he took the PVO out as a way of further intimidating me
a PVO is a personal apprehension violence order. He has to prove all his lies in the PVO in court.
but, you know what has totally screwed him???
what, mrp?
So, along with everything else, he will have perjury thrown at him?
his own stupidity, perhaps?
he accuses my husband of abusing and menacing him, but he didn't take a PVO out against him! just me!! He has been after me since 18th Sept, defamed me, accused me of absolute bulls**t and my lawyer just laughed cause it shows he is targeting me
he will have to face perjury chargers. That is what will give him a criminal record
ha. so he won't be able to prove anything except his own culpability, sounds like. Good.
All very well for your lawyer to laugh, MrP, but you are having to live with the actions of a madman. My heart goes out to you.
that will be satisfying when it finally happens, mrp. May it happen quickly!
indeed soodle, and it is so very very uspetting everyday!
Agreed!
What started the animosity off?
the prick dug his own hole... all he had to do was leave me alone, and his stalking and obsessive behaviour is in email to the whole football committee!
Ugh -- and that goes for both the grid as well as what you are going through, {*mrp*}
well, his dog, a gorgeous jack russell, was at our house 24/7, getting into our yard and house (trying to get to my dog), chasing my car for 1.5km every day, loose on the streets and we were unable to get the prick to do anything about locking his dog away, which is the law.... THEN
we called him for weeks... went to see him and talk to him in a very friendly manner, talked to his wife to ask them to please lock their dog away cause it was only around trying to mate with my dog... you know what his response was??
what, mrp?
"That's just what dogs do."
What?
"next time you see the dog on the road, run it over, kill it... I hate it" and "next time it jumps in your car, drive it down to the Gorge and dump it" and "I don't give a F about the dog... call the council, do whatever yuo want, I don't care"
"Leave him be, he'll come home eventually."
egads.
Ah. Clearly a responsible pillar of the community.
none of which you did, presumably! The lunkhead :-(
Ah, that kind. They get SO PISSED when you follow through and actually shoot the dog like they tell you to do.
Just read back over chat. Mr. President, I'm so sorry to hear that you are dealing with all this insane behavior.
Hiya Moll.
so my husband rang him, asked him to come and get his dog off our property, which is half a kilometre from his, and pick up his dog otherwise we would call the council. He said "I don't give a F what you do, do what you want. I don't care about the dog, it isn't my dog, it is my wifes dog." Lickety said come get the dog in the next hour or I am calling the council. He didn't so the ranger picked up the dog
hi, molly!
and sigh, mrp, what a nutcase!
oh wow, nothing above a 5? don't know if i've seen that before.
Its bed-time for this particular bonzo. MrP, you got a heck of a lot going on there, I wish you well. (Still bewildered about how nasty folk can be to each other...) Good night everybody. Poof
pretty impressive, eh, leslie?
Sweet dreams Soodle.
night, soodle!
sleep sweet, soodle
How are you feeling Sue?
I then got the most threatening phonecall at about 5pm that same day from the prick.... "you f'ing b****, you have cost me over $650. I am going to f'ing get you, you better watch your back... etc etc".
doorbell... brb
oh my yikes
Sorry, mr p, sounds like you're the one with cause for a PVO.
Hi again everybody. I was on earlier and couldn't find my last word. Now it was the first word I saw on opening the page! De4/7.
nice work nef!
Thanks LA
mrp; reading back; the guy sounds postal! He has a wife? What did she say about the dog? If this guy is such a jerk to you; I wonder if he is this abusive to her too?
hi nef
hi jes. How's it going?
pretty well
have had a few "interesting" clients but nothing in the last week or so to match MRP's story...
good! My son dropped it on us that
he's pregnant
are having a family b'day party tomorrow; so we've been running around this afternoon getting ready
OOOPS! Sorry!
i like jes's ending better
LOL, LA! Now THAT would be scary!
heh :)
I think that would just aboutkill me if they were pregnant. His wife is certifiably crazy
no not they are pregnant. HE is pregnant.
Yeah, that would be worse, LA
haha
his wife would probably accuse him of fooling around or something!
*snerk*
Well, I need to go get the cake before we leave for my daughter's roller derby bout. she wants us there early since she's in the first round (or whatever it's called)
ooh fun!
cake and roller derby? can I come?
it should be!
Take care all! Happy Babbling (and chogging too)!
Sure, come on along, jes!
whee!
Bye! <poof>
long day for me. Anyone still working the grid? I need ne5's.
Yippee, fireworks.
ne5 - the start of opposite of positive, plus you and me
Thank you ori.
yay origami!
plural fo ne47, meaning woman serf
Woman serf? You mean mom?
Oh, is that what ne4 means.
no, i mean...nm, you got it :)
di 5 and one fe4 that I can monkey, and that's it.
Big whoop- 56 words.
actually, that last fe4 will kill me.
di 5 is chemical. yeah, it's not a large grid :)
if it's the one i think , just stay in the corner.
Yup- now the di- what chemical?
Third letter?
yep only one. alt. spelling of lady's name
any compound that contains 2 double bonds
sorry, back... just got evidence delivered to my door by hand delivery... the prick is in massive trouble with this new evidence, all written by him to a whole bunch of people.
Got it- fw.
Haven't seen those fireworks in a while.
good-o, mr. p
yay kap!
yay kap!
whoot! yay for good evidence, mrp!
on ya kap!
yes jes... perfect evidence. I won't need a PVO... he will be sued for harassment, defamation and punitive damages.
luckily, I know who is now on my side and who is lying to me.
good things of which to be aware
good to know, mrp, and it sounds like the nutjob is digging his own hole.
(sorry I vanished there for a bit, every once in a while real life interrupts babble!)
and glad nef got the cake :-)
and congrats to kap if she's still around.
Now I think I am caught up :-)
well, I am off to get these 5 children out of my house and have some time with Lickety to prepare for court... luv ya all for your support! m xox *poof*
bye, mrp, hope all turns out well!
bye, mrp! Hang in there, and our love to all!
fi4,10?
hello all!
hi, forward and TO!
hello!
fi4/10 is like a kingdom, except smaller
An fi 4/10 is anagram of fi** and drum forwardbyfaith
hi, min!
Hi to my fellow babblers! How is everyone doing today
min, thanks for marking the birth of PBS!
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! YAY!
hey min
didn't understand the clues for the fi,10 :(
lots of news from mrpresident, min, if you scroll back in the chog
ah - just saw it
You are so welcome. Unfortunately some want to cut funding for PBS. Hopefully it'll stick around for awhile.
Here is a story of clues for those who ne 4/5 it. I will not de 4/7 the fact that I am totally addicted to this game.I babble everyday. I use the list to help gu5/18 me through the grid. Even when I am done I can't pe 4/5 my eyes away from the grid. My babble addiction puts my hubby into a ra4/6. Hubby ra5/16 about last night as I was babbling.Husband was so unru4/7 that I ended up closing office door & locking it. I think we should come up w/game ru4/5s for me & my husband I am going to go fe4/7 myself some dinner and watch the ep 4/6 Gone with the Wind. I will be back later on
I know, min, I hope it will be around for a long time!
what is a pvo?
protective order, apparently
Oh Mr. President? What does Obama have to say now?
no OUR mr. president :)
not that one, min, our own mrp :-)
and thanks for the story!!
Oh, talking about PBS it made me think about Obama.
i think it is kind of like a restraining order?
i am pooped, ll day at PIFA street fair, tehy recreated Paris arts in phila today
Hoping that he is able to stop those who want to cut funding for PBS. Anyway, what's up with mrpresident?
yw uusue2
sounds like a lot of fun, TO!
http://www.pifa.org/streetfair
messy legal stuff involving the guy that firebombed their car, but looks like he will get his comeuppance. Also she has cervical cancer and PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome)
so she is stressed to the max, as is lickety :-(
WHAT!
Wow! That is a lot of news from mrpresident. Her car got firebombed!I hope that she and Lickety are okay
whoa
that was a couple of weeks ago, I think
was that random or aimed at them???
Hello hurshy! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
early stage i hope, very curable
they are ok but it was right next to their house, they are lucky the house didn't burn down
and it was aimed at them
I think so, TO, she says she will be fine after surgery
and hi, hurshy!
she cannot catch break
why would someone do such a thing?????
no kidding, TO!
crazy in the head
sounds like a real nutcase. She put a fair amount of detail in the chog, not long ago
starts around 4:38 pm
Sue! Hooray for a person who still uses the word "comeuppance"!
lol, molly! My son got teased by his friends when he was in the 9th grade because he used "albeit" in a sentence (while talking, not in writing). Chip off the old block, I guess :-)
ne5,16?
not pos(itive) + you and me
thanks
William Martin writes great historical fiction. In one of his books ("Cape Cod") there was a chapter entitled "Comeuppance". It dealt with a woman in early colonial times who was writing about emancipation from England.
I'll have to check that out, molly (over the summer...)
a bit stumped on s. are any of the si?
two si, leslie si4/5 and si5/14
they are related
well there go. thanks sue
He's a great writer Sue. His description of what it was like for people to travel here on The Mayflower is well done (if not somewhat nauseating). I never realized what sea travel must have been like in those times.
of the five s words, only one (IMHO) is a fish
wuh oh :)
well, I love to read so will definitely look into his books!
two 5-letters left. have ag, cu, di, ep, gu, ha, ne, ne, ra, ra, si
there are two cu5, and an su5
ok will work on those thanks sue
yw :-)
this is a little toughie

Hi redturtlehead! How are you doing? Welcome to grid
Hello periwinkle! How are you doing? Welcome to grid.
Hello Min....long time...how are you
Hello Riverdance! How are you? I am well. I have been saving my last word since 6:00pm.Quiet evening here

I have a story in my profile and I can clue of you want
havent even listed yet so I am good for now...trying without help first...but thanks anyway
I listed today after 30 words. It is a tough little grid.
down to 16...so doing good so far with no list
Good for you Riverdance! I do not have the patience once I get frustrated. I list as soon as I get half done
son wants computer so must go for now...good night Min...good to see you
Goodbye Riverdance!I'll see you tomorrow in the chog
will be here at some point....poof
hi again, all! Back from the dance concert...
I was left in peace to get on with the grid (since my family know how fiercely I defend my Babble time) and so finished it many hours ago, without listing until about 5 were left. I wish the family were so understanding when I'm trying to write. Writing possibly brings money in. Babbling doesn't!
That's 5 words, not 5 hours, btw.
If I'm sitting at my computer or poring over reams of notes with a pen in my hand, it seems I'm 'doing nothing' and so fair game to talk to. However, I should be glad they want to talk to me.
People who don't 'write', don't seem to realise how easily the long train of thought is broken if it's interrupted before it's written down. In my teens, 20s and 30s I could 'wind back' and recover my thoughts. It's not so eeasy now I'm in my 50s and my brain is getting overloaded.
Having grown up reading a cartoon strip called 'The Numskulls' in Beano magazine, I've always thought of my brain as being full of steps, stairs, lots and lots of filing cabinets, and little people scurrying from department to department to find what it is I need to know. LOL
The older I get, the older the little people get and the fuller the filing cabinets get. Have to allow young trainees in sometimes, who can whizz up and down the stairs faster.
If anyone needs clues, just ask.
hi, jac! interesting thoughts about writing!
(I'm done too)
Hi uusue. Not just about writing, but about remembering things in general. Once, I could reel off the English and the Latin names of plants.(I'm a keen gardener.) These days, I'm lucky if I can remember either without about half an hour to think about it.:-(
Congrats on finishing, uusue.
Well, 10 mins for anyone else to ask for clues.
well, I know what you mean, jac, I have more trouble remembering things than I used to also :-(
uusue - have you checked my bio for the Royal Wedding photo?
I have, Jac - although for some reason Babble Expert shows me the old icon
Press F5 to refresh, uusue.
good thing you wrote in the speech bubbles, tho, because I can't really see them - pretty funny picture!
(I did not actually watch the wedding)
nope, still get the old ones (new ones show up if I open Babble with my browser). Maybe they will refresh after the flip.
I watched it. Wasn't going to, but in the end, remembering how much Diana loved her boys, I had to. Do have to say, I thought it was a lovely serrvice, much more modern and less stiff Royal than in the past. If the Palace Paragons and the Press Poisoners leave them alone, I think they'll be fine. Good luck to them, I say!
Weddings should always be happy!
but it was on at something like 5 am here, so not especially convenient...
Yes, they should, but Charles and Diana's was doomed from the moment when Charles said, after beingm asked if he was in love, 'Whatever love is!' I saw Diana's eyes die then.
I lipread William when Kate finally got by his side at the Abbey after walking up the longest aisle. 'He told her she looked beautiful.
awwww :-)
She did, too! Plain and simple gown with some lace. With a face, figure and hair like hers she needed no more adornment.
Indeed. Anyway, I am off to bed! See you tomorrow!
Me, too. See you again.
Hello -- fireworks, thanks to morewords. Last word was su4/6, an unword which is theatrical slang and I never would have got otherwise.
hmmm -- nobody here, I guess.
Shoot!I forgot,I was saving my last word. Better do it
I am done! I have fireworks! ag5/14 was my last word
