Welki.. I had a ultra-sound of my champion male at 6 and we caught a splenic tumor (blood tumor) not cancerous and we were able to have the spleen removed and save his life before it bled out and he lived another 8 years
we had a basset who i'm fairly certain had one of those. it was horrible, he died in my arms, no time to even get him to the vet

the vet said he did bleed out and it was obvious to me what was happening .. just horrible

ruru, PRA is a herediatry disease affecting many breeds including Border Collies and Labs, not sure about Goldens. But if there is CERF certification and OFA clearance for hips, plus all sorts of other screenings nowadays, things should be ok. BTW, Hybrids like Cockapoos, Goldendoodles, and the like are NOT problem-free.

In BC we always feel like it doesn't matter how we vote because of the time change, so many others have gone before us and they make the decision, we just confirm it.
