can someone give me some help with the A on the first column i am not finding it??
not sure mlf, might be ag5/14
or ae4/4 but that could also come from second column a
ae5/12 comes from there, the other ae's from the 2nd column a
can't find any a first column either...
flosey the ae 4 i have did come from the one on the next column
ae 4/5 not from that one
ar4/4 comes from 2nd column a, but the latin plural comes from the first one
ty josh -- nbt for me
might be ar 5/14
ar 5/14 x 2
ar5/10 comes from the first column

did my good deed for the day.... donated a huge box of makeup to my daughter's dance school (they have a huge concert coming up in 2 weeks). The local chemist was changing makeup brands and I asked if the samples could be donated to the school. They said yes!! and it was all picked up today from my house!

I'm often just going to bed at 2 am so chose that, rather than having to take a pill at 6 am -- you know I'm not a morning person.

I am not a morning person either

It was most peculiar -- he is very friendly usually and I'm very fond of him. He came into my house yesterday during the hockey game -- I don't know how he got in because no doors or windows were left open, but maybe he snuck under a new retractable screen door. He was freindly as usual and floolowed me all round the house. I thought he wanted to go out and headed for the front door with him tagging along, when all of a sudden he flew at my leg and bit hard -- blood all over the place! I managed to phone his owner just down the road and they took me to the ER where I got attended to and bandaged. Had to see the doc today for antibiotics -- cat bites are very prone to infection.
ty flosey
wd vanilla!
maybe cats shouldn't have been invented, my birds are not keen on them
that is odd behavior
but they're usually good mousers
thats true theres two sides to them
My late cat never attacked a bird but this guy is a hunter and has decimated the quail population -- so sad.
I presume that's why we don't see them anymore, jilli - use to be large families of them around here
I am not a cat fan... probably because they make me sneeze and get stuffy
our neighbous cat systematically wiped out a family of bandicoots
there used to be lots here too, but not one this year.
I presume that's what happened to the new baby turkey as well
This cat (name of Max) is really beautiful -- a golden Burmese.
hey! that's our cat's name
Sorry about that, flosey!
named after Mt. Maxwell up the road
I think this one is really a Maximus or Maximilian or something.
ah, well, hubby didn't like any of the usual 'kitty type' names, so that's how this came about
more from frustration
lol
really tired, just got 2 plurals that I had missed
well all I need to say nite til the flip *poofing with hugs*

good morning everybody
hi rubyfoo
is jilli still here? that was a horrible story! did they test the cat for rabies?
don't think so, jilli went to bed around 2.05 grid time.
hi all :))
{{mrp}}
hey mrP :)
nice to see you guys!! **hugs**
hi ruby and sprite! :) **hugs**
is it any more quiet at your house, sprite?
what has been loud in your house sprite??
I am working again 10 days after my surgery... luckily, I have super senior referees ready to take over if needed... I am not being treated like a sickling
am afraid not, lots of drilling today, I am kind of stressed today. MrP: neighbours adding to their house, very very noisy and also some asocial behaviour from their builders. Has been going on for over 2 months now. Not life threatening, but not easy for someone with ptsd either.
sounds good, mrP. You are not pushing yourself too much, are you?
{{poor sprite}}
aside from the kids next door screaming at their pool which is, fortunately, only an hour a day, the loudest noise here is the birds
oh sprite! what a shitty experience/position to be in!! sorry for you. Hope you hold it together darling and take a leaf out of the 'FO' book
poor ruby! that is the time to get the ipod in with headphones, or take a coffee break out with friends
am holding it together, of which I am kinda proud ;) Also talked to the neighbours and got a lovely apology with flowers and all. We will manage, all of us. But will be grateful when it is over!
it is not a big deal and otherwise, they are OK neighbors
but I don't understand why parents allow their children to shriek outdoors
any latest news to add to your story, mrP? How are you feeling now?
it seems to me that neighbours on your side of the world are decent
I go nuts at my kids for screaming... they understand that there are other people on the planet that don't want to hear it!
some are, some are not, mrP. Ours are, luckily. They just broke our agreement a couple of times and the behaviour of their construction workers has been awful.
i did update my bio, but had another bunch of stuff come up today
they don't seem to notice. The wife can't even talk on the hone without the children screaming in the background
phone*
I just don't like to put the negative out all the time... would like to have my babble friends think I do have half a normal/nice life, which I do.... but today was a little tragic
I read your bio, was wondering about new news... what came up today?
what happened?
ruby, the wife has no control... typical 'walk-over' mother
just dumb, I think
and 3 boys under 7, but she has a full-time nanny
nannies mostly cannot raise kids. Unless they are older and experienced, but usually they are barely out of their teens themselves.
there was no way in hell I could go to CJC court to face my stalker... just cried for days before... so am asking the court for a formal injunction to get him out of my life... I have to go to court on Tuesday to explain why I don't want to mediate with my stalker
nannies let them run free... be 'themselves'... and forget about other people on the planet
if she gave me the boys for 15 minutes, I would sort them out, tell them to save the screaming for emergencies. This nanny is from Senegal or someplace and speaks worse French than I do.
is there any reason on the planet I would want to sit in the same room as my stalker, obsessed freak who is responsible for my car bombing and house being set on fire??
mrP, forgive me for prying, but what exactly happens with you when you think about facing your stalker?
I agree with you MrP; mediation might make him stop for a while, but wouldn't solve his craziness regarding you
I shake, I cry, I collapse
I have been taken to hospital, totally unaware that the ambulance was there to take me to hospital...
there is nothing that stops an obsessed freak. He would get off on having me sit there being scared of him
I see... I asked because it might be possible you suffer from ptsd yourself. Being stalked with such violent actions can cause a severe trauma. And with your other issues going on, it wouldn't be strange if you were more vulnerable anyway. It might be wise to consult with a good psychiatrist if this might be the case.
I am sprite... and my doctor and psych are saying 'NO' to meeting with him
and it might help your case if you could make clear how severely you have been traumatised by the jerk.
that is all so terrible, mrp; nobody deserves to go through all that!
ok, let them put it in writing and add it to the court papers. You need to be protected, not subjected to more trauma.
I have to go and join DH....we all have our crosses to bear, however small! haha
have fun, rubyfoo ;) And send him my regards.
And Sprite, I cleaned my computer, actually took apart the tower but that wasn't the problem. |My son thinks it needs a new fan (diagnosed from Texas, BTW)
yes, that is the next step, rubyfoo. If cleaning doesn't help, the fan itself might be broken.
{{big hugs, sprite and mrp}} see you later
mrP: ptsd can be treated very well, especially shortly after the trauma occurred. I hope you have good help. If you and your 'team' can help you to feel empowered again, in control and ready to take on the guy, it would be great. Until that time, protect yourself. (Sorry to go preachy, it is something I feel strongly about.)
hey all
hi Saddy :)
hows everything with you today
rather stressy. And with you?
oh how come?
too much noise from neighbours.
:|
bang on their door and tell them to shut it
call the police
lol they are adding to their home. It is noise from construction work.
make some of your own when they go to sleep
oh
lollllll thanks for making me laugh!
hahah i thought they were the loud party sort
no, that would be easier to handle, indeed. But, as the ancient wise man said: This too shall pass.
anytime
I had trouble with my neighbours too. The other night he knocked on my door at 2.30am! 2.30am - can you believe that??? Lucky for him I was still up playing my drums.
roflol Dachef!
lol
the nerve of some people
so dachef... are you really a chef?
nope. Not anymore. Now I get paid to write nonsense - a lovely job.
the man can cook and the man can write. You are a marvel, Dachef.
a 'marvel'??? Ha!!! Dunno bout that, but tyvm anyway. I think.
:)
fireflies. Have a grand day, all. mrP, I hope you are ok.
Well done, sprite. Good morning/afternoon/evening all.

Hi Matches
Morning folks
Yeah!

Hi Mr bob

hi mr. bob
yes I do, never had to do one but I remember others that did
My daughter went to dancing for 10 years
I should have gotten it sooner
I was a teacher and watcvhed the annual ones.....
(but didn't learn to spell)
silently thanks my mom for not having me do that

then you see these 6, 7 and 8 years old on these talent shows on tv and wonder how in the world they can get up there and sing, dance, etc
what used to make me cringe as a teacher and parent, was the little girls in make-up
oh yes, and now they have a tv show here called Toddlers and Tiaras. Can't watch it, makes me sick to see these parents living through their children
awful!
ruby, have you seen the beauty pagaents for little girls on TV, dyed hair, taned skin, makeup. it is horrible!
Peri, we must be thinking of the same show
we are on the same wave lenght, Mom
I know about them, but they don't have them on Fr TV
saw the promo for that show, mom -- i agree, sickening
inded. I can
I can't watch it
there's something really sick about it
great minds, Peri :-)
Hi Foamflower, I see the commercials and it makes me cringe
anybody have the ag 6/33? driving me nuts
and you cannot tell me that the kids really like all that. yes it is nice to win a ribbon but do it with something else
no ag words here at all, but I will help you look
again, me too, mom -- a perversionof childhood
makes for good reality TV I guess. don't know who watches it.
I shudder to think who watches.....
i shudder more for the little girls in the shows....
putting fake teeth in their mouths because they have lost some baby teeth. Yuck. I think missing teeth are the most darling thing in little ones
they not only have stage moms, they have stage DADS!
Howdilly doo, Babblers!
hi Judi
hello judi
they had two stage dads on Dr Phil this season. It was awful.
me too Mom. they get the kids to bleive that they are worthy only because of their looks, bad start in life
one dad spent $3,000 on a dress for the little one
Kiddie beauty pagents = CREEPY.
a very bad start
would be okay if they were allowed to dress in regular clothes and no makeup and just be kids
agreed, Peri
yes, peri
wow, it's raining again. I'm glad I picked fruit earlier!
glad you did too, Ruby
domestic goddess is in jam-making mode
Hi ruby, my Japanese Irises are starting to bloom
{{bichon}} how lovely!
Hi Bichon
Hi Mom
eq7 pls
line around the world, peri
nm
Foam, did you get the ag 6 you were looking for?
(my best word
nope--still fiddling
figure it has to include an f, and all i can come up with are some really weird "words"
ag5 and plural - Greek market plae
ag + **** Hollister from Andy Griffith show
ag7 = ag + egyptian sun God + symbol for Iron
got those 2 -- need the ag 6/33
or ag + ** (cheer) + I **el your pain
and I stink at cluing
that did it, smd! thank you!
ty smd, I think that's the Fr word for staple
yw
...and the result is just as weird as the ones that didn't work!
that was my lst word -- can i return the favor for anyone?
bottom t, second from left, please
I don't see the ag7 but the 2nd ag 6 is the word for staple, I checked my Fr dictionary
it's the ag6, ruby--i think smd just "misspoke"
to5,6 all things together
i'm not sure which word that t is--there are three of them
and to4, legal wrong
tyvm ruby
Wat is blooming in your garden now ruby?
and to4/4, plural of a donut
and tof/f, a high hill with an extra consonant
...to 4/4
ty foam
spirea, many different roses, pond iris, day lilies, geraniums, pellargonium plus lots of little purple and pink things whose names I don't remember oh, and campanule
water lilies, too
to5 the sum of all
My Peach leafed Bell Flower is blooming. If I take off the spent flowers it will rebloom. And one of my favorites, Tradescantia [spiderwort]
My Ladies Mantle and Spirea are blooming together. I love the chartreuse of the Ladies Mantle along with the pink/red Spirea
i have to scoot--bye, all--good luck!
I have to look up the bellfower; I get confused between English, French and Latin flower names
bye foamflower
There are so many campanulae
*scratches head* "quatro" not accepted.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Campanula _persicifolia
We can have a french staple, but not a spanish four?
mine are not fancy but some are blue, others white
or various Italian plurals
Yes, I have blue and while. Love the blue more. I used to have the cup and saucer campanulae, but I haven't bothered planting those seeds. They aren't perennials
I had beautiful thistles in with the campanulas, but they've disappeared this year....
I have a very small garden and have turned a lot of it back into grass. I just don't have the time any more [and I'm retired]
My lavender disappeared this year. But everything else came back
have to go, thumper is on the stomp!
bye ruby
husband insisted on a lawn which is a disaster
freon isn't aword? I guess it's a brand name
I keep having to replace my lavender
I guess I had better start my day. ((Hugs)) to all of you.
I just never seem to want to buy more plants. This year we've had so much rain that garden is a jungle
bye everybody, very nice chat, replacing images of little girls in beauty pageants with flowers!
Puppies and kitties are always nice too.
And bunnies. Musn't forget bunnies.
se6 pls
the 2nd one
se 6 uses the hight point tile
there's your answer peri - the second one

hello Haz, TO, MrP, sue...
hi evaN!
hi eva **hugs**
Hello, EvaN.
hi, eva!
i am toying with the idea of drving don to MD today just to enjoy, is it stormy there evan?
if anyone is nurse here... is wrapping and rewrapping 'issued' tendon ok
I do it myself
doxy, wrapping that is?
I think it will be ok mrp. I rewrap my injuries all the time
i have tiger balm, voltaren gel, etc... and wrap. No way I want a cast!!
just be careful with the balms and gels under the wrap. You definately don't want heat with the balms
crossy loves adaptec.does not stick to open wounds,has the antibiotic right in the pad
Ice may help also
oooh, i have been using heat... should change to ice
heat can cause burns with the balms and gels.
I will wash off the balm and apply ice gel instead
you can use the balm with ice
just remember 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off
when injured mr p?
re6/30 pls
sorry, don't have it
Put your makeup o9n again peri!

Peri....gave clue 8 messages down...
peri, knowing that you care... I had a tearful morning, and recovered this afternoon. Am doing much better now... but don't think I will be sleeping again tonight
injury is three weeks now
got it, fireworks
Hey Mags...hope you are enjoying your day off!
alternating heat and ice is good. You can also find a wrist brace, works better than wrapping. We find them here in pharmacies
am having it re-xrayed in the morning, then if they find nothing, they wanna send me for a bone scan (gallium scan). I did a bond density scan and all is good
Hey Shelly-Bear!!!
sorry to hear that mrp, you can always e-mail me or contact me on FB. will be glad to send some Reiki and other positive thoughts to you
That's what I usually do, don't like to go to dr any more often that I do now
oving it.......
I have a wrist brace! wear it during the day and wrap during the night
fireworks
If it is a soft tissue injury, it can take 6 weeks to heal.
how many you get Shelley?

WTG peri
thank you peri!! I will do **hugs**
bye for now
on ya peri!!
yay, peri!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The letter J was the last letter added to the English Alphabet. Before that, the letter I was used in its place. U was the second last letter added, and usually replaced by V.
(((crossy!!))) **hugs**
nbt, time for exercise

Montreal is a fabulous city, Helena, yall will have a great time.
hy, Helena, Maryte. luc, et al
what is "buskers" ?
hi dc, long time !
rent a bike downtown....they are all over.....Hi DC :0)
a busker is someone playing music on the street for cash contributions, often tossed into their instrument case.
re 7? please
ahh get you thx dc
one who gets on well with people and/or is a storyteller could be said to be a RE7, ru
sort of like one who sells real estate, but one less initial vowel
also, they perform too.....saw the Riverdancers dancing in the Metro....
did you get it ruru?
street performers then ok - the subway is also full of them performers... some very very good...
Joshua Bell plays now and again in the Metro here in DC
thanks DC
the magicians are the best
hi again all, late breakfast here
hi sue
i wish Washington Metro allowed musicians. It's a think i love in other cities.
hi, uusue
mmmm crossy is marinating a pair of beautiful red angus steaks in sweet baby rays hickory and brown sugar bbq sauce and it will be served with corn on the cob and a nice salad:))
bike rentals in Montreal are called BIXI - don't know how much it costs for a ride though.. :(
we have the same in toronto now mon:)
hi there sue !, almost missed you
ahh good, cross...
though i usually avoid toronto like the plague
clue 4 the 9 please
the 9 is plural of eq8
cross, i'd like to tell you something privately re: Folding@Home - can u give me your email ?
eq8 means relating to horses
Must be meat marinading day. I have a pork tenderloin in garlic and peppercorn marinade.
p.a.melbourne@gmail.com

hey Crossy and Montie....wanna start a riot?
right maryte !
Yep, I had those . Was confused by the horse reference. All is well.
<--- is still thinking of retiring to Canada despite the Canucks
and we aplologize for those in vancouver who cause that scene
a few bad apples
eejits
everyplace has them, unfortunately :-(
Blatherskytes
citiots full of beer and lack of sprotsmanship
im confused
young men, mostly, I notice...
the same happened in Montreal a while ago... it doesn't take that many to cause a disgraceful scene...
About what cool girl?
usually is sue
come on up sue.... we'll treat u right!
always is sue... or so it's seems...
still cant find the eq8 or the re9 beeb at work since 4 thismorning just got home at half 5 so not thinking very well
nd on that note, i gotta go - happy babblings - take ca4 all - poof"
cannot imagine a group of ladies getting that worked up over a hockey game..though we do have an amazing womens olympic hockey team here
is no eq8, cool, and the re9 is the plural of the re8
bye, montreal!
bye
hasta, luc
dont have the 8 yet
I love hockey and fortunately am a die hard Boston Bruins fan but I would never act like those in Vancouver.
bye sue Maryte, DC "real poof"
re8 = re + you can't fire me, I **** + Mr. Gore
ty
Hi all. I've been lurking but had to speak up. I'm in Vancouver and am so embarassed by the riot. It was a core group of troublemakers who were going to cause problems no matter what. Nothing to do with hockey.
I think those Vancouverans are just excitable people..
Hi Shelley....Shelley33 is my co-worker (and friend) She is also Canadian and a new Babbler...she is a Bruins fan but we tolerate her.....:0)
There are some great Canadians playing for the Bruins.
incidentally, the citizens of Vancouver are pitching in to clean up: http://bigthink.com/ideas/38919
Hey Mags you tolerate me because you love me and yes 17 great Canadians play for the Bruins :)
Your right ShelleyR.....it is not a reflection on the city...
13,000 Vancouver citizens spontanously showed up downtown yesterday to clean up from the riot. That's the true Canadian spirit!
absolutely not a refelction on the city - i'd still love to visit!
We'll show you a good time HelenaB
awesome
there are morons in every city :-)
as would I - I have visited quite a bit of eastern Canada but not the west at all, and would love to!
Shelley33....don't you have a job to go to?????????
That is great Canadian spirit we all should be proud of Shelleyr!
{blushing}
awwww
On my way to get ready for work now!
haha
My conference call just ended so I have to get back to actually working. Nice talking to you all!
Hi Babblers, am down to 28 but blind to the biggees, time to list methinks
gee, hope I didn't kill the chat?.. brb, helping son with mower
wife and i are dying to do a driving vacation out west soon:)
our son is getting ready for his last year of school and testing his wings with co-op courses;0
right now it is a dead heat between a baker and auto mechanics
hello again
((RUBY))
got 88 words before, but note much else in sight
{{crossy}} I bit the bullet, unplugged the monster, oopened it, cleaned out (very little) dust and I don't think the problem is totally solved
did you remove the motherboard fan and clean the heat sink slots behind it?
it will be held on by a clip or 4 phillips screw
otherwise the only other reason for random shut downs a restarts is voltage irregularity or a potential part pailure
my son, diagnosing by telephone, thinks that the fan may have croaked
failure
is the fan coming on under load?
when runnunbg video etc?
he asked questions about the power source, but decided that wasn't the problem
running
and it hasn't shut down all day today, fingers crossed (or crossied)
if not the fan is only held on by 4 screws,remove those and the wire to the board is a 3 pin variety.unplug that and take note of where it was plugged in.take the fan to a computer shop or similar parts store..it will cost inder 0 dollars for a new fan
runnunbg video sounds like it's from Sierra Leone.....
leave computer off when fan is removed of course
is the fan coming on?
omg, PB for me, I forgot that was a word
relax my dear..is the fan running at all?
nm the pb hehe
if it's off, how do you know if it's running?
leave the side of,and see if it runs when watching video etc
sigh...
we need to diagnose if the fan works or not,or you stand a real chance of frying your cpu chip
<-- loves crossy
and if you fry the chip,you can toss the entire tower in the garbage...;((
afternoon or evening Babbblers!
howdy red
hello red
nd don't tell Mrs. Crossy!
?
we seem to be 3 or 4 lines of chat behind here:))
typical!
I can't see what I type, as the lag is so bad!
byt make sure that fan is working,if not replace the fan
most 2 and 3 inch cpu fans are rated for 50,000 hours(about 3 years) but many do not make it to 2 years of age before they fail
this is why i do not buy all in one apple products
but anyways..on with the grid i suppose...
this grid is a bit odder than I expected it to be...
how many do you have left? i HAVE 55 LEFT.... DUH!
78 here. I am not working too too hard.
HOW ARE YOU DOING, RED, GETTING CLOSE TO RUNNING AGAIN?
didn't mean to shout!
I give up with 49 left
No running until September or november, but I am starting to walk again.
good night, friends
no point in pushing it, red. September isn't so far away!
i can't push it, it is the protocol. I can barely walk...but it is getting better.
hey all -- (((hugs ruby and red))) *considers changing into something pink to keep with the theme...
NBT...
Only 190 days, 12 hours and 6 minutes until Christmas.
THANK YOU for that happy thought, BR! LOL **many hugs**
how are you, friend? things drying out around there yet?
lol BR! We just got some warm spring weather here....I'm not ready to think about the cold weather and snow that comes at that time of year!
hey robbie!
hi Stid1
How is it going?Congrats on graduation, Stid!
We need some sun. Landslides out west .. the Missouri is being incorrigible ... some roads look like they have been through an earthquake. Crop planting is behind schedule ... blah blah blah
thanks Robbie -- not bad, home sick today (second time this week) long recovery from allergic reaction. Otherwise, things are great, and I am glad to have family and friends who are supportive and understanding!
oh that's not good, BR. I hope that the sun we are enjoying will soon move your way too.
Aww hope you feel better, stidmama!
oh dear BR...hope things dry out soon there!
thanks robbie, if the inhaler, prednisone, etc should do the trick. If I used the inhaler right -- never had one before today.
did you ever figure out what you were allergic to stidmama?
I have actually stopped coughing and my chest stopped hurting. I am a little spacey from the meds though -- which is why I am home.
must head to work everyone but before i go,i give you crossy,s tidbit of the day!!
The highest temperature ever recorded on earth was a searing 136° F. The scorcher occurred in Al Aziziyah, Libya on September 13, 1922.
No, never did figure out the trigger from this event -- possibly there was a mint plant in the garden that I touched, although I never planted one down there. Can't think what else might have done it
tc all and happy babbling...poink!
((((cross)))) now my day is complete and I am smart again! LOL
Well, the prednisone should help keep poison ivy away.
Yikes! that's hot crossy1
and everything else, too! LOL BR, when I read the insert for that one I thought it will probably make the hip pain better too. That would be a welcome side effect! Not sure about the promised nausea though...
Yes, hope the meds make you feel better soon,stidmama!
A friend is prescribed prednisone for Crohn's disease .. but then the docs always want to wean her off of it.... gets hard to do after awhile.
yep, that's the plan robbie -- what is a "tuxedo cat?"
a black and white kitty:)
my prescription for prednisone is only for a few days, enough to get the lungs to stop swelling so the other meds can work.
Ah -- thanks. Thought that might be the case, but wasn't sure. LOVE cats but allergic (of course)
Oh that's good stid, because my son took that for poison ivy, and it made him very hungry!
I'm allergic to horses and guinea pigs, and hay 9so i have to be careful around large animals)
I probably shouldn't jinx myself, but I haven't had any poison ivy issues since we left Virginia over 30 years ago. None in our yards here, and I don't tend to go into the woods much
yes, the hay in horse barns sometimes makes me feel strange -- though I have never been sure if that was a true allergy or just the dustiness.
http://tinyurl.com/5tgrsd
:-D LOVE That song!
Once when we were at Marineland I started having trouble breathing...it must have been the hay they had for the animals.
BR, read your profile just now -- so very true.
ugh.. gasoline is leaking out of the top of the fuel pump, so much for thoughts of mowing.. hi again Babblers
Aloyisius... a good excuse to babble!
Hi Aloyisius!
lol, stid.. yup, soon as the gas fumes go away, I'll be able to think straight
hi robbie
Hello, Aloyisius ... leaking gas is truly a botheration.
howdy BabbleRabble.. "always something"
Cute song BR!
robbie, thanks for sharing that about your marineland experience. Sometimes I feel like the only person who has those sorts of issues, and I am embarassed when I have to slow down or take a break.
I'm just taking a break from cleaning the house. My daughter should be arriving soon.
We had to leave Marineland early,but my husband got sunburned at Myrtle Beach. We had to leave our vacation early for that..lol
poor husband -- poor you!
I want to START cleaning house, but have been too ill this week to try. Maybe later today if the meds work.
ooh, sorry you haven't been feeling well stid, hope you are on a quick road to feeling chipper again
I have the laundry going:) My daughter and her husband are driving from TN.
I should be, Aloyisius, just need to get my body to stop thinking it's being attacked and all will be well again. allergies are not fun.
:-D I am still at the stage of waiting for my kids to be old enough (and financially independent enough) to LEAVE home, robbie!
no - cottonwood and I don't get along

Hi Wildcat :-). Nice to see you :-)

Its just midnight here. I was decorating my bedroom all day, and I have pains and aches in places I had forgotten I even had!!
not good on the aches but how fun to redecorate! what did you do?
*Prepares a hot bath with Epsom salts for Soodle*
Well, I have painted all the woodwork, and I applied an undercoat to the walls. Tomorrow, if I am still functioning, I will paper the walls.....
I'm at the 'point of no return'....... I guess I better keep going now that I have started.
((((Molly)))) Hi!!
anyone please help with re 7/28 and ro6/27? thanks
I have paint in my hair, my eyes, my fingernails, but I feel good. I love the feeling of having achieved someting. I work for the Government, and its not often that I can stand back, look at my day's work, and see progress!
Oh, Nurse, I'm sorry. I haven't either of them.

hi there all
hi carlee!! :)
what time is it in your part of the world girls?
7:40 pm here
( reading ur update mrp )
soods should be about 12:30 am ?
Quarter to one AM here. . Spot on, Carlee :-)
Good Evening Everybody. How are you all?
hi nef :))
Hello Nef :-)
hi nef
(((mrp))) just read your update
i am pretty good with time zones up to about dubai/ germany and then... i lose track....i just assume australia is tomorrow
hello all. (((hugs))) what are you doing awake soodles??? *stern mama look*
having a nice saturday morning guilty pleasure with Real Housewives of New Jersey.... holy moly!!
hey carlee! *double backflip with triple-twist slips at the end*
hey mrp, that sounds lovely.
yeah, my update is delightful... thank goodness for drugs
passing stiddy some robaxacet
hi stid!! :))
yea...sparkling butterflies... and fuzzy rainbows!!!!
Cowering from the Stern Mama Look..... I was on my way to bed, and I fell in with bad company.... Honestly!!!!
LOL soodle!!
its the weekend... live a little soods...
See? Carlee said I could......
passing out some wine...and banoffee pie
Om nom nom.........
not saying no to any of that carlee! (scoff and scull)
That's the first time in my life anyone ever referred to me (even in a group!) as bad company! :-D
LOL carlee -- that will go well with the cough medicine and the inhaler and the steroid and... hey nef!
I must be moving up in the world!
hi stid!
Whoo-hoo, Nef!!!! Welcome to my world!!!!
I have been referred to as a bad girl!
i think we should all join mrp in her drug induced haze and we can all see sparkling butterflies and fuzzy rainbows...
Nef -- I caved in this morning and went to urgent care. Why do people wait so very long to go see docs and get their ailments addressed? *hangs head shamefacedly*
<---- adopts stern momma look and directs at stiddy
what did they find, stid?
add vino to my mix and I bet I can add shiny unicorns to mrp's haze...
<--------------what Carlee said!!!!
that thing that's like asthma but not asthma. restricted airway? I am a little fuzzy at the moment.
are you breathing better now?
( soods..are u referring to the drug induced haze or the stern momma look)
Fuzzy's ok.
stid... shall I come up there and smack you up the side of the head?? ((hugs))
it started Monday, the day after the bad allergic reaction - I kept wheezing and coughing for no reason. And yes, I am breathing better now, but my body isn't used to these drugs
LOL mrp! can only help!
my unicorns will be there shortly!! and my little hazy fairies will deal with you missy!!
maybe you aren't used to good old 21% O2 in the air??? ;-)
Originally the stern Mama look directed at Stiddy, but open to all alternatives :-)
could be! *grin*
reactive airway?
THAT's the term. Yes... can you translate?
what was your reaction to? Did they ever find out?
i want a beer....actually i want alot of beer and i dont normally like beer...
you are hypersensitive to something; but they don't know why or what
Hmm. Carlee, I can offer you a glass of wine, or a glass of
Baileys....
i have wine....
i dont want wine
why beer? is it hot there tonight?
(it's a very non-specific term; but it feels awful anyway)
I have no idea -- I was in the garden working, no significant pollen in the air, no particular smoke or chemicals. I started to feel a little tired and went in to the house. Next thing I know my left arm has hives and is swelling (no breathing problems at that point), so I took an arse-load of benadryl and went to bed with ice on the arm and stayed there the rest of the day. No significant other anaphylaxis that day, but the coughing started on Monday (when I woke up too groggy to trust myself to drive to school)
no..i just feel like having a guinness
Usually I get anaphylaxis to food items, and haven't had contact dermatitis in years.
So it's a mystery.
scary mystery
Shit, Stid. That sounds horrible. Poor you!
insect bite or sting? (being it was in the 1 arm...
Not fun, no. I don't like random allergic things.
I made up a glass of vodka and agrium (blood orange)... went to sit outside with the dog... spilt the whole bloody glass... Poured another, sat down, spilt the whole bloody glass again! Gave up and had water
No sign of insect damage, I did look.
re8 pls?
wow stid!! hope they find the cause!!
ah, mrp -- the universe is helping you! :-D
I found out I'm allergic to yellowjackets and 2 types of hornets last week and will have to go through the 15-20 week immunotherapy shots to de-sensitize me
my mum developed an allergy to black current bushes..not the berries..just the bush..if the leaves rubbed up against her skin she broke out all over
TO, love that is not met is unre***ed, this is a "meeting" of emotion
Carlee - have you ever tasted Giuinness? Proper guinness?
yes..i have....and i drink it room temp
it could be something like that carlee -- for a change I wasn't wearing long sleeves. But it would be a new thing if that's the case, we don't even have poison ivy in the yard!
ty
guinness. hmmmm....
that was my next suggestion; some sort of allergic reaction to something (similar to poison ivy; but maybe to juniper bushes or???)
pine tar.sap makes me break out in hives
<---Irish as Paddy's Pig...can't stand Guiness. Shoot me.
did it work TO? *googly mama eyes*
hey molly!
se7 pls?
I found out I am allergic to acenacia... and we only have 790 species outside our front door! LOL
hey molls
<-------- Cant stand the stuff myself, but I'm told the best Guinness is served at my local!!!
there were chives, grasses, buttercup (a possibility, Mother is allergic to that), sorrel, and wild oregano. and strawberries, but hopefully not those!
i love it...that and tenants lager...
oh man, mrp! not good!
i am allergic to strawberries
<<--- points to handsome man in blue: My darling Tom just got home.
oh, and can someone tell me why I allergic to fresh basil?? I touch it and my eyes burn!! but no reaction at all to dried basil
~~~~ <---- waving hello to tom
I like strawberries, but raspberries are my current favorite
I feel cleansed by the blood of my ancestors that I can do Harp and any sort of Irish whiskey. My other non-Irish distortion is that I'm not much on tea.
the oils in the fresh leaves?
a friend of ours is like that with potatoes and carrots, mrp
the essential oils????
Hi everyone. Just starting. Beautiful day in our neighborhood.
Tom waves at carlee
hello Mother! (((hugs))) all good out your way?
Hello Carlee, chat is moving fast and furious and in about six directions.
it must be the oils... how weird
hi stidg! :)
Tom is home, he will take Matthew to a friend's in Lacey. Trying to decide if I want to go along and go to a restaurant. Since I am on the prednisone and such it's probably the safest time to eat out!
not much irish blood in me..english and scot with a smattering of irish back there somewhere... i hate tea... love guinness and tenants... and i love a good whiskey
I have a weird allergy: sangria! And wine + any citrus within 24 hours of drinking the wine
gramma stiddy!!!!!
Hi carlee.
going to open a bottle of pop wine ( those fruity cheap wines sweeteneed and fruit flavoured )
how strange, Nef! one of those allergy+trigger things. Squash used to trigger the cow allergy in me, and then eventually I just got allergic to the cow and can eat squash just fine.
Enjoy the dinner, lissa.
"Tis no crime not to be Irish...just a terrible, terrible shame.* : D
Carlee - with that pedigree, theres more Irish in you than you know about!!
well carlee, don't offer any to NEF!!! *shields Nef protectively* we'll just sit over here and drink lovely tea.
LOL Molly!
pour me a glass for later carlee, but put it in a plastic cup... I will only spill it!
LOL Molly!! :)
*offers a "sippy cup" with a lid to mrp for wine*
Hey, has anybody heard anything from Zooz recently? I haven't seen him for a long time. I hope all is well with him........
*Has shot glasses to fill with Irish for those who are not spill-prone*
hahahaha!! perfect stid
And I used to love sangria too... carlee is being mean by making me jealous (rough day at work today)
Not seen Zoom in a long time Soodle. He remains in my good thoughts and prayers.
night all
I loved sippy cups when my boys were little. Such a shame they outgrew them! LOL
sweet dreams TO (((hugs)))
night owl! ((hugs))
Ditto Moll. Hey Zooz - if you are lurking, theres loads of people thinking about you!!!!
he's not lurking, but maybe he will check the chog later **sends reserve hugs too zoom**
sorry nef...
So Stid, you've heard from Zoom?
it's okay, carlee; just giving you s***. I quit drinking because of things like that... :-)
i get to say hello from you all to franmag
no Molly, just know he's not logged in to Babble at the moment
oooh. Haven't heard from her in ages. Hope she is well?
its nothing fantastic..
<---Does not think that fruity things and liquor belong in the same glass.
wine is made from fruit molls :p
Unless there is a little umbrella sticking out of the glass........... P-)
brb
<---Does not participate in wine drinking.
ooooh, blackjack night tonight!! need to get the alcohol stocked up with cheese and crackers!
participates in moderate wine drinking, but not when taking peculiar meds.
I really like Shirley Temples though.
An umbrellla that invariably ends up behind one's ear..............
won't that make the crackers mushy, mrp?? *innocent mama look*
but will make exception to join mrp with the sparkling butterflies
<---- Has never been girly enough to sit in front of an umbrella drink.
anyway... time to take the kiddo away. Will see you-all another time. Going to use my infirmity as an excuse to not worry about undone housework, and will have a leisurely evening.
heheheh....my dxh always ordered either a blue lagoon or a long island iced tea...
<<-- used to have a collection of little paper umbrellas for my dolls... *grin*
Have a lovely evening, all! *poof*
later stiddy {{{hugs}}}
*sprinkles fairy dust all over the place*
Golly. Its after one AM. Time this little babbler was in her bed. Good night all my Babbl.e friends. Moll, some day, you and me are going to share an umbrella drink......Night Stid ((((Hugs)))0
bye stid! ((hugs))
yay..fairy dust!!!!!!!!!!
<---- Thinks umbrellas are for rainy nights, re-enacting Gene Kelly "Singing In The Rain"
*Says a Celtic blessing over Soodle as she toddles off to bed*
niters soodle :))
hmmm..i have always had a particular sexy fantasy about the rain at night..have yet to fulfil that one
I know someone who's future husband pulled off on the side of the road and took her hand so that they could dance in the rain. Every time I hear John Michael Montgomery's " I Love The Way You Love Me" I think of her.
tried that carlee, ended up getting pelted by hail whilst running for cover!
(its more like what molls said mrp....that particular one...did not end up pelted by hail....was toasty warm on the backside cus the car was still running ;) )
ah! I see!
And then there is that scene from "The Goodbye Girl" where Richard Dreyfuss and Marsha Mason are dancing in the rain on the rooftop. Rain can be very romantic.
i am picturing a man...in nice wore out jeans... no shirt....and me in just a mans white button down shirt....dancing barefoot in the rain at night
worn* pardon me
*Sends a posse of fireflies to light up that scene for Carlee*
maybe one day if am lucky....
LOVE The Goodbye Girl!!
Une, that is one of the best romantic comedies ever.
passing out more banoffee pie anyone?
back
agreed
What is banoffee pie, carlee?
http://www.grouprecipes.com/22546/deca dent-banoffee-pie.html
better go organise my kitchen, friend dropping in for coffee! see you all later!
byebye mrp..have a lovely saturday
it seems i killed the chog with banoffee
Chat log still alive, carry on. : D
*Wonders why after a few short minutes, people think they killed chat*
well..it went from warp speed to zero molls
That happens when there are three or four different conversations going on. ; P
i know..to..nothing ...
That happens sometimes when the chat gets disjointed. And so it goes. How are your house renovations going?
almost done..yay...signing papers to list the house tomorrow
one more chapter closing
it is a brand new house on the inside... in an established mature neighbourhood that always sells well
we did it to the 9's... top end taps...and granite counters etc...raw slate flooring in kitchen... everything all painted...all new interior doors... everything is new new deck... new porch
new driveway
new landscaping
And how are things going at your new place?
so what we bought it for 12 years ago..more then dbled
i love it here
its so quiet... my neighbours so far are nice
no one bugs me....i love it..i just need time now to focus on making it more mine...but been busy at old place havent had time nor energy for mine
can someone please give me the site address that goes something likethis. www.playbabble.com/20100004.zip
i know that isn't correct
sorry snags i have no idea
snags... email licketysplitaus at gmail dot com
* poof *
ty mrpresident
Carlee, I hope sometime soon that you get a clean break from the old place, and that you can then focus on you new life.
soon molls...very soon..i think anyone walking into that house is going to want to buy it...and once sold...i can invest my proceeds....and get my divorce...and be done
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! YAY!
hi, min!
May I please have a clue for ar6-18 the 1st? Thanks
hi min, uu
ooh, I would like that too, peach! I am missing a lot of ar's.
This hasn't been a "fun" grid, has it?
well, I went to the list even though I had a lot left because I was gone all day but I am still stumped on some of them
like the ar's....
bbl
ar 6/18 I am you *** and spanish cheer; ar 7/28 pl and ar 7/28 Latin pl
and hello all
thx, west, and hi!
dinner is here...
happy dining
Hei westford!How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
hi min I'm good struggling with the last 9
are your allergies any better?
Yes, they are better thanks to prescription medicine
I'm happy to hear that
are you through with school for the year?
No, my last day is next Friday, which is actually early for us.Usually we don't end 'til June 27th or June 28th
any summer plans?
I'm happy because I found out today I have a summer job. I was getting nervous.Was afraid I was going to be unemployed this summer.I'll be teaching teenagers
that sounds like fun and a challenge too
what age do you usually teach min?
Yes, definitely a challenge. I have never taught that age group before.Last summer I taught Kindergarten
you look like a teenager yourself
I'm an ESL teacher, so I teach all grades K to seventh
that's a wonderful skill
did you ever see the movie Stripes?
That is what I always say! I'd never survive in a high school! They'd just eat me up alive! 7th graders are challenging enough and next year I'll get 8th graders.
I saw it a very long time ago. That's a hilarious movie.
I'll bet the ones you'll be teaching will be there to learn
I remember the ESL teacher having the class sing Da Doo Ron Ron
A's Abolished! 1 left
I have 2 a's left and I can't get them
Is it too late to do story of clues?Think most are done
on from the 2nd column and one from the 5th
I'm trying not to use the list but I may have to give in
there are some strange words in this grid
evening, kids :)
hi jes
how are the furry people?
I just got 5th column a and it was a real word
still fuzzy :)
we still haven't talked Lucy down from the bedroom and Sunday she is going to be boarded at the vet's
along with the other 2
Hello jesdraggon!How are you doing? Welcome to grid
in a separate kennel, i hope?
hi min, i am well, and yourself
?
I hope so too jes lol
they have always separated our others but they take them out and play with them so we like boarding them there
that's good :)
how's that a word coming min?
I am well. I found out today that I got a summer job.I had my interview on Thursday & they offered me the job today.I will be teaching ESL to several teenagers.
cool
Already know what my last word is, just saving it for later on tonight. Do ya still need some clues Westford
I just read your profile westford. So sorry about the sad news & here I am bragging about my good news.
I do min I'll tell you my a's I have aex4;agx3;ai;alx5;arx7;
life has to go on min don't apologize
I share your happiness
Thanks westford! That is so kind & thoughtful of you!
my poor husband just got home to RI from CA he had so many delays mechanical and weather
I'm glad he got to see his sister
There are 10 ar words. Do you have all 5-letter ones?
looking...
I have 5 5 letter ones
Then you're missing either a 6-letter or 7-letter word
ar ?
I got it. thanks so much min
1st ar6/18 is a ring of color around the nipple & latin plural for the ar 7/28. 2nd ar 6/18 word is like first, but ends with different vowel and ar7 is regular plural
it was the 1st ar6/18 I thought I had them all
I knew it was a fish
Babbler said b4 "this grid smells like fish"; Forget who.
that was driving me crazy
you should get your teenagers to play babble
I don't know if they would have access to a computer
I was thinking of the teacher in Denmark who lets the kids babble and all they do is turn into little trolls
haven't seen them for awhile..teacher probably got wise to them
shame too because it's a good way for them to practice their English
I'm mixing up my tenses but you get the drift
They're in the United States for a couple of weeks to attend the summer program and then they return to their countries. They stay in college dorm rooms at a college and the program is filled with activities. They have 3 hours of classes in the morning and 3 hours of sports related activities and field trips in afternoon.
In addition, they go on field trips every weekend too.
that sounds great min I'll bet they'll be super students
what a nice opportunity for them
do you know the countries they'll be from?
My job this summer is teaching classes&chaperoning the field trips. Seems like a very busy & fun program for the students.Hopefully it'll be that way for me too
I used to love to go on field trips with my kids' classes saw things I never would have seen
Was told that they will be from all different countries
are you supposed to speak only English to them?
or will you learn too
Actually,I really don't like field trips. But I think it will be different for a summer program. The go into NYC every Wednesdays&they go every Saturday&Sunday.
just keep an eye on them..they tend to wander
I'll HAVE TO speak only English;ONLY language I speak
I'll bet they have a good handle on the language already
must be pretty exceptional to have qualified for such a program
I give up going to list now
see you later
fireworks !!
all alone and no yay for me
I'll be back later
if any one cares lol
Congratulations westford on fireworks! Hooray for U
You may be all al5/10 in the Penalty Box as well, but I can post my last word and join you there if you want.
