bbl
sorry, was off reading email! but it looks like sue got her clues, thx ursh and mixi! and ivesy!
please could I have a clue for the e and the r in the bottom column
sea birds for the e
sue, that comes from the top e
r + double vowel,plural, for the r
thanks sue, got that one o.k.
ah. Finisher, then.
maybe.
oh,no, it's the sea birds again, there are three variants - single, plural, and plural of the 3-letter version, which I am pretty sure is the one that comes from that bottom e.
that doesn't come from the bottom either. I read in the chog the other day that the words always start from the topmost letter first, so if you have a word like the seabird that can go either way it starts from the top. This does sometimes help, but not always lol
yep, that's right - thanks a lot.
it is the plural of the 3 letter version
thanks Sue and good morning to everyone
yw - I do know how to figure out where they come from but keep missing all the possibilities :-)
hi, mom1
re7 any py7
mom! (still getting used to my new keyboard)

hi, molly - are those clues?
don't worry about it Sue, I am working on the laptop today and will have many errors
*and
Didn't someone ask for 7 stats?
I am working on a new rubber keyboard that I bought for my laptop because its j key quit working
rubber keyboard?
oh, a while ago, molly, and i get it now ;-)
yes, it rolls up and is supposed to be impermeable to everything but it is a little odd to type on
I have never seen one of those
saw it in the museum store yesterday and decided it would be cheaper than getting the laptop fixed
this is true. I hope it works for you
anyway, time for some exercise before it gets too hot (actually it is already too hot but I need exercise)
take care Sue and try to stay cool
re 6/30 plz

Bon journo, Babblini!
hi judi
Good Morning Everybody!
Anybody else geek out and see Harry Potter this weekend?
not me; I've had our 2 year old grandson for the past 5 days. And I'm not a fan of scary or suspense-filled movies
I heard it was good though
T'was good. Very dark and violent though.
Yep; not my idea of fun. (I have nightmares from that sort of stuff)
i did...fri night
amazing... loved it...
Poor Nef. Did you like it carlee?
... HP 8 ... an enjoyable evening ... but it was in a theatre that was about half full ... ... all of them older parents with late teen age kids going to the final installment after having gone to the previous installements with their kids when they were six ...
and u nef?
Hi, I went to the midnight opening day showing of Harry Potter. I got there over an hour early and had trouble getting seats. It showed on every screen in the theater and every parking spot was taken. I loved it!
same here dose...but was friday night...2nd showing in 3d..so theatre was packed....i was expecting rowdies ( a few came in costume ) but wasnt...
Rowdy HP fans???
we were in line a hour ahead too... but you could hear everyone crying during the movie...i was expecting whoops of joy etc...
... Nef ... you might take your grandson to the new Winnie the Pooh ... I'd like to hear who did the voices ... but I don't think I'll be able to talk my college freshgirl into it ...
People clapped at certain parts when I went.
now waiting to see cowboys and aliens..and sherlock holmes 2
I really didn't find anything to cry about. Well, the of the one twin was very sad.
they clapped at the end here
Uh oh. I just blabbed a spoiler for anyone who hasn't seen it. Sorry. *placed self in penalty box*
i cried with snape....i cried when harry's "circle" near the end
( i think i kept that spolier'less)
spoiler* even
Yeah, I was teary eyed too with that
... clapping at the end here and in Toronto ..
I've been thinking about doing that doseff; right now he won't let me read Winnie the Pooh to him though (much more interested in Richard Scarey's "Busytown" and the Berinstein Bears However.
and i cried with tonks and remus... i was expecting some whoops with the bellatrix/ mrs weasley moment...but nope...
... still have a collection of 50 Berenstein Bears books in the book shelves ... ... took a mess of books to the charity discount store ... but was not given permission by 22 year old to take the Berenstein Bears
i have ALL of my old books from when i was little..i kept the ones my kids enjoyed....
i havent seen the last film yet, but i did read the books. cant wait to see it!
i took my mum ( 71)..she has seen all but DH 1 and read all the books ...was her first 3D movie.... she LOVED it
Didn't want to do the 3D. Wasn't thrilled with the prospect of death eaters flyiing up my no/4.
i am glad i didnt see DH1 in 3d...the snake scenes....made me jump in 2d... but i didnt mind dh2 in 3d
is there room in your no4 for a death eater?
... there's a spell for just about everything
i was kind of concerned going in... but i dont think i "jumped" once in dh2
Definitely not, ruru. lol
hi all. keep saving those books carlee... such fun to read them to the grandchildren
Talking about childrens books when my daughter was little I found a brilliant one called Bottersnikes and Gumbles I wanted to get it for my granddaughter but £40 was the cheapest I found!!For a kids paperback!!
wow... that is $...my daughter's fav was tops and bottom...
I loved the phantom tollbooth
... "Night Cars" ... 19 year old going off to college is truly angry with her older sister because the sister took the book when she moved out two years ago ... younger one wants her own copy now ...
Ditto, ruru. Still one of my faves. Also 'Island of the Blue Dolphin'.
i do still have that one ru
paddle to the sea was my fav
Have you come across The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson?? She has just been made Chikldrens Poet Laureate. She was written lots of other super books too
... loved that one ... but my kids didn't get into it ...
My grandson is only 2; he loves having his "G-mom" read to him and we have to do it in hios "castle" tent that my daughter gave him for Christmas. It's presently his bed when he's here (due to DH's Aunt taking over the guest room)
"James and the Giant Peach" also brilliant.
neither of my kids read harry potter..
James and the Giant Peach is one of my faves too
Have to adnit it I enjoyed it more than my granddaughter!
some of the lesser well know books that i read when i was a kid ended up into movies.. i had loved 101 dalmations (back in the 50's?) and also Mr. Popper's penguins, which no one had ever heard of. next will come a movie of the egg and i, perhaps
oh, all roald dahl, of course - fairly brilliant writer
I think The Egg and I was a movie. Cary Grant maybe?
I loved Little White Horse by Elizabeth Goudge
bbs, have to go get ready for the day here (slept in for the first time in ages!)
oh, i meant the enormous egg. kid finds an egg, ends up hatching a dinosaur ( i was a real dinosaur freak back in those days)
Oliver Butterworth??
The Velveteen Rabbit
yup (to both of you)
Ramona the Pest!
all beverly cleary
Oliver Butterworth and The Velveteen Rabbit??
no. i men yes oliver and yes, i loved the velveteen rabbit!
My kids loved anything by Maurice Sendak.
When my younger one entered 1st grade, he was restricted to part of the school library for first graders. I went to the school and complained. They changed the rule and the first book he brought home was Call of the Wild. We read it together.
did you read the enormous egg molly?
Literary memory lane is fun, but I must be off to do some real (boring) work. BBL. *POOF*
I read it and I read it to my kids.
don't work too hard judi
omg- am i that old??
how old?
the books i read when i was a kid were the bobsey twins and the 5 little peppers and how they grew !
wow.. that's old
Can you name the twins?
yup i read the bobsey twins too, and nancy drew
when i was 10 i was on to the classics- the scarlet letter and robinson crusoe
nan and bert
and...
Those are classics Sammy.
i didn't really like the bobsey twins tho, they reminded me too much of dick and jane and sally
one might assume since we are such word nerds, we were also prolific and advanced readers as children.... safe bet
The Betsy Tacy books were good too.
yup
Freddy and Flossy
I also loved the Mary Poppins books - pre-
... during a rainy summer when I was ten my grandmother bought the TOM SWIFT Junior adventures to be read at the summer house ... ... one evening my father catches me reading them and says he read the adventures of Tom's father when he was a kid ... ... ... about ten years ago ... My family is staying at a friend's house while our bathroom is being renoed ... ... I find a copy of the third generation of Tom Swift in his son's bookcase
Disney
There is a book called "Magic Elizabeth" that I loved as a child. I just bought a copy to add to my "for the future grandkids" collection.
i could read when i was 3 and when i was six, grandma (not to be cunfused with nana) gave me a dictionary so that i would stop asking what words meant
oh yes, i remember exactly what mry poppins is supposed to look like.. they all had the same weird round eyes
this is fun - BUT I have to go clean a closet. BBL
Sammy, you must be very bright. Reading at three is quite advanced.
my oldest son taught himself to read at 3, next son at 4, next (daughter) had to learn in first grade like normal kids
as an adult, one of my favorite authors is james michener- read almost everything by him , but NEVER liked hemingway odd huh
I was cooking at 4.. does that count?
yup- me too ru- i was raisecd in maine and we had a large family-0 everybody worked
and drinking wine at.....?
er...15
Cooking at 4 does not surprise me Ru.
that's not bad ru...
wine- never liked it till i hit 60- now scotch.................
drank the menetou again this weekend... most definitely my favorite white! think i better get another case
I had to.. my brother couldn't boil water.. so I cooked for the two of us
scotch tastes like medicine to me. i know i COULD theoretically develop a taste for it, but see no need to
It's a wonder you still enjoy it then. Good for you.
wow ru, you mean really cook? not like, helping mommy in the kitchen, huh?
it was my job to help fix vegetables for meals for 14 people and set the table- used to stand on a chair to wash dishes
you just need McCallans Doren.. that will change your mind
no.. I mean really cook
... just make sure the scotch is 12 years old ... tastes much better that way ..
mommy wasn't in the kitchen.. mommy was gambling and drinking in Reno
This is true Dorens. I'm not much on Scotch but I can drink single malt.
yes i've heard about single malts, etc. but why, when there is such great wine around and i love it.
it was also my job at the age of 6 to keep the woodbox full and empty the ashes and empty the drip pan from the icebox- if i forgot , i had to mop the whole floor-- we had a REALLY clean floor!!
oh ru. i am so oglad you turned out to be the terrific guy you are, with that background.
That's a lot of work for age 6 Sammy.
i learned to cook meat and bake when i was about 7 or 8 and clean fish and i can't remember not tending a garden
<---made a mean sloppy Joe @ age 4
yah sammy, all those chores for a 6 year old might prompt a call to children's protective services in these times
i didn t think so at the time molly , that was just the way life was fur us
brb
i taught my kids the same way and they are gratefuk now
when my andrea was 10 , i wanted her to come into the kitchen with me to learn how to cook, she said she didn t want tio and i said well, what about when you get older and maybe get married? you will need to know how to cook... she said " NO... ther cook will cook>>>> brian (her husband ) did quite well for the 7 years that they were married-lol
she is a good cook now though
speaking of cooking, i just finished putting together a 4 gallon pot of chinese hop suey- takes about 2 hours to chop everything up--- the will hear my cupboard door close from whereever they are and be here for dinner-lol
back; sammys, where did you find a 4 gallon chop suey recipe?
and how many does that feed?
my recipe-
i just keep going till the damned pot is full
:-)
the 12 of us and a few friends .. if i have eny left over i freeze it it small containers and have it for lunches
the 2 hour prep would do me in; would it work with a food processor?
I am the food processor-lol
unfortunately, my arthritis wouldn't let me do that much chopping. That's why I asked about the food processor. Does this freeze well?
yes
(I'm the type of cook who can't follow recipes; I'm always changing things. But I also like to cook in large amounts and freeze for future meals)
i have a couple of dexter knives that are wonderful walter keeps them sharp... they are expensive chef's knives- got i at a garage sale 30 years ago and he bought one from a reat. that closed.. also a cheap paring knife that i like- always use a wooden cutting board
would you like to know what i put in ther suey?
YES! :-D
strt by cutting up a 3 pound roast beef- toss it in the pot with a couple of tablespoons of olive oil
while that is saut. on medium heat- chop up 3 or 4 pounds of onions- throw that in- then at least one stalk and sometimes another half of celery... i am too cheap to buy bok choy
then i do 2 or 3 crowns of brocoly- stems and all.. a head of garlic more if i have a partial in the fridge
i throw in some barley sometimes a cup - maybe less, depends on what's left in the cupboard
throw in 3 or 4 cans of bean sprouts
nobody like bamboo shoots , so i don t use the4m any more, but sometimes i add a couple of cans of water chestnuts.. enough kikiman soy sauce till the color is right- and some black pepper- water to the top of the pot- let it simmer till the water reducdes and it gets like a thick soup
bean sprouts come in cans?
(this is sounding like something I can make so far --no precise amounts or measures!) ;-)
yup- i am too cheap to buy the fresh ones-lol
grow them, sammys!
no exact measurements-- whatever is on hand and whatever you like--- today i had some cauliflower left from a veggie tray-0 taht went in too
eery time it is a little differnt- i serve in on rice or with chinese noodles in soup bowls-
it would take a lot of room to grow 6 or 8 cups of bean sprouts
sometimes i throw in a handful of flaxseed- whole or milled sometimes not
you notice i did not say salt- nobldy needs it- there is enough in the soy sauce
I noticed that, sammys. I'm going to try this ansd use tamari sauce too. It's sort of like a low salt soy sauce
sounds good
DH's aunt is on a restricted salt diet now, less than 1500 mg per day. It's amazing how much salt is in everything these days!
once i even put in the rind of a lemon (removed it before anyone could see it) it gave it a little different flavor and i never told them why- i suppose lemon grass would do the same tho
She loves chow mein, and had some Chinese food when she went out to the mall with a friend. Her heart failure just couldn't handls the salt
yes- we are using a lot less salt
anyone have the de 6/21 # 2 please
that is the good thing about making your own- you can substitute things for whatever reason
the new recommendation for salt is 1500 mg per day. You'd be amazed at how much salt is in stuff you buy these days!
ru, do you have de5? more so
de-6-... thicker?
sometimes my brain feels thick, or you might say de5

hi giggles. If you look below the grid and tile stats grid; there's a list of helpful sites. Lickety is very helpful, but I always refer newbies to Angelsong's Babble Page too
just found an sn7 !!
i never went to angelsongs page--brb
lol jmc,,, and thank u nef. i will have a look at tht too.
jmc, how could you miss Angelsong's page?
very interesting. just too much a rebel i guesss nef
wtg peri!
Thanks peri!
goose alert
brb
mould \nmould
Angelsong's page has some misinformation on it. Like T4s OF WORDS NOT ALLOWED: Abbreviations. Lots of abbreviations are in these grids. Like de4 today.
ne ee
really? abbreviations aren't supposed to be allowed; but maybe they are if they become part of the vocabulary
well i think that angelsongs page is a tad dated but generally helpful
i think nef is right--some abbreviations have become words like retro
Bye for now; I have to take DH's Aunt for a doctor appt. so don't know how long it will take. BBL! Happy Babbling Everybody!

Hi all...clue for pe6/21 please?

where did you go on vacation? was it fun?
me neither
I only have a pe6/27
ok thanx anyway!
I need the k for nbt
U.P., on a small lake, down from the high ground, about 15 miles in the middle of nowhere. It was great! Lots of reading, afternoon naps, late mornings...
sounds nice java hopefully not too many mosquitoes
kn4/12
you'll hate yourself when you see the "k" - and you should "get" it
I kn** that one a minute ago
ty bb
nbt :)
and ty too jmc
wtg harry
and java
Not too many bugs, and we had a new hi-tech repelant
and it worked?
kn4 is not old but kn**
was it the thing you hang on your belt?
*repellant
yes, it is. Has a butane fuel cell. Works quite well
a butane fuel cell? so it is burning?
pe 6/21 French for father + not off
ty molly
ty
50%
You're welcome Harry
thanx Molly!!
ty molly
go harry go!
well, the butane is and the little screen gets very warm. It won't burn you, but you wouldn't want to hold it for very long.
doesn't it burn your skin where you hang it?
<==very sensitive girl
for the most part, we were wearing clothes, so no, it wasn't touching skin, just jeans
oh well i wear jeans all year round so that sounds okay i will have to check it out
and, if you're not walking, you can just set it on the picnic table
(doesn't want to think about the rest of the part where they weren't wearing clothes)
thought that would get you
hahaha
besides, if you're not wearing clothes, how would you hang it on yourself? That's what I don't want to think about!
ROFL!
necklace? (but that could get painful quickly, in more ways than one...)
and hi again, all, people just keep coming into my office - don't they know I have to babble??
belt
rude people you should hang a do not disturb sign
no, you don't want to hit it
or "in meeting"
what happens if you hit it?
actually I could just close my door and no one would know I was here
*puts on flaak jacket*
you'd probably hurt your hand - I was replying to your "belt" comment
*coughs from dust on flak jacket*
oh i thought it might explode!
PERSONNALLY i was thinking of a chastity belt
erm - and WHY were you thinking of a chastity belt, exactly??
probably not. You'd have to hit it really, really hard for that
if you are buck nakkid it might be useful
82 left - bbl !
lol - reading these comments in sequence is actually pretty funny
bye harry i will try to catch up
and what the heck is a chastity belt? Never heard of anything like that...has anyone recently?
never heard of one? really?
I'm joking...
where is ruru when you need him, he would be having lots of fun with this conversaton
the lord of the manor would buckle a metal belt that was in effect a pair of metal panties with holes for necessary events and he would take the key away with him
"don't touch me - you could burn yourself on my bug repellent!"
oh. . .
necessary events haha
considering women
<===glad ru is not around since this conversation would deteriorate even worse than it has
indeed, jmc
sex related topics and food are talked about often here
let's try that again - considering women's panties are a fairly recent invention, the idea of ones made of metal is pretty awful
although it is not clear to me what happened during her period
[blush]
and pets don't forget pets peri
yes of course pets
history books don't talk much about that; but then, most are written by men
60 left, bbs
whoo hoo riseup.net won its case refusing to turn over emails of clients of its email service (unlike the rest of them who just handed them over without notice to clients or comment)
I was thinking that it would be an interesting engineering problem, to ensure that things that needed to get out could do so, while not allowing things to come in that weren't supposed to get in, all without being painful, but then it occurred to me that the people designing these things probably didn't care if they were painful or not
bye peri
oh, that is good news, jmc!
i am sure they didn't care whether they were painful
it would still be an interesting engineering problem but I don't think I will assign it to my class
there are now other materials that would probably work well. then, they hadn't been developed. there are materials now that allow water vapor out, but not in. i'd think they could be adapted
but blood is not the same as water vapor
<=== is beginning to regret bringing this topic up
yeah, that's why you'd have to work with it a bit - larger pores, or something
you're right - "blood is thicker than water"
i guess big holes and a water sprayer will work ;-)
ROFL
okay on that note i am going to go work on a payroll spread sheet
*poof*
bye, jmc!

I'm an old folk and I really LIKE Jason Mraz.... my favourite being "I'm Yours" ! Hi everyone
Thanks for that clue Molly :-))

what a slow day in the chog! my conversation from 3+ hours ago are still here!
It's actually 98 degrees, but the humidity is the killer.
i see BR showed up--that is good it means he didn't drown in the last flood
*waves at BR*

I came out with an estimate of 38,400 words

YAY, Peri!!! WTG!!!
I saw that, nef, you have our weather only more so
it's been like this since Friday, we have heat warnings through Wed night now.
oh gee, my babble anniversary was last Thursday and I missed it! I will have to celebrate today instead :-)
us too, nef, it sucks
Yay, uusue!!! Happy anniversary!!!
*throws confetti on uu*
it does suck to be this hot and humid. I feel caged up. I had to take the AUnty to a docotrs' appointment and the car A/C didn't help til we were about 3 blocks from our destination (10 miles from here)
Oh, goody! Finally half way!
one thing I like about my car is that the air conditioner kicks in really fast, usually before I reach the end of the block
i only got 35100 :-(
*shakes confetti out of hair*
okay so the successor's brother had surgery so she is gone until I am gone
this is good, right, jmc - means you don't have to deal with her?
i am glad not to have her sitting right next to me all day it has interfered with my babbling
it always has on mine before
tee hee
yes i am sorry for her brother and all that but glad i will no longer have a dog licking my feet at teh office
I like my dog but I would never bring her to work!
not to mention i am used to a tad bit more privacy even though i never shut my door except when I absolutely must NOT be disturbed
like once every other month
my door is always open but I am at the end of a little dead end hall so no one ever comes in
hi all
well people come to my door all day long which is why it is open, but I would turn away from the computer and be inches from her face
ok, I am headed home - see you all soon!
finished my securities class today
i think i am too bye all! bbl
yahhhhhhhooooooo
wtg sue!
*poof*
I just took that vocabulary test and scored 36,400.
Well, now Borders Book Store is bankrupt and closing. I am very sad to see book stores dying. I guess everyone is busy with electronic devices and has no more use for paper books. *Sniff*
let's hope town libraries never close
Oh, but don't you think that's next? How can it not be when people are busy reading electronically? There is no love left for books, it seems.
I feel the same way MollyL. There is nothing quite as satisfying as the smell of books.
I love reading a brand new book and the feel of the pages
I agree Gran Mere. I have started collecting books because I fear they will be a thing of the past, sooner than later.
Yes, speedy the paper is an additional sensation to enjoy.
thank goodness at school we have ssr (sustained silent reading) for 20 minutes every day and after recess for 15 minutes I read a book out loud and there is still so many kids who love it since noone reads at home anymore that used to be my favorite time putting the boys to bed is I would lay down with them and read for 20 min every night
Ah yes Speed. Reading to my kids is one of my happiest memories. How sad that no one reads at home anymore.
at summer school last year one of the families was going on vacation and were going to be in the car for over 4 hr. drive they were borrowing every electronic game they could so I suggested read to your family as your husband drives even the mother thought I was out of my mind so how can we teach the kids the joy of reading
the 2nd to last me5/12?
do not have it yet cos sorry
found it.
It's sad that electronic games have take the place of imagination. And the best way to cultivate a good imagination is to read. And to write, if you are so inclined. I wonder about a society of people who are entrenched in "Farmville", "Angry Birds" and other such games that seem to be taking away the imaginative spark that once existed in us.
our city gave borders a big tax break to build their store here - put a local independent bookstore out of business - now the borders is gone as well
although we do have barnes and noble
and both the university and the town have nice libraries
wish we had B+N here.i had to get my brother to bring me my nook reader when he visited
I looked at the color nook at our B&N when we were there trying to keep cool a few weeks ago - it was really nice
and now crossy wants the new nook with the colour with the full size touch screen
indeed it is sue
and with its wi-fi,you can probably babble on it:)
my nook is my prized posession.i have over 300 books on it,about 200 songs and about 100 photos
you probably can indeed :-)
and that explains why I have to turn off my reader in the airplane even though it has no wifi capabilities whatsoever
and the onboard memory is still only 75% of capacity.have not even added a micro sd card as of yet
my nook has airplane mode settings
they will make you turn it off anyway for takeoff and landing
party poopers
indeed
i just sent sptie some books the other day..probably why we have not seem much of her lol
:-)
I am still working my way through the 100+ books I got for free after a library sale (they were some of the ones that didn't sell)
would you like my book list sue? i have about 300 title on hand and can set a few up for you in e-pub or pdf
ahh ok
oh, i will always be happy to take ebooks, I can read them when I travel
epub works on my reader
if you have a e-mail addy you can give me,i can send a list now.i just ask you limit your choices to ten at a time
hints please
uusuzanne at yahoo

ahh sue has the best link:)
ok, downloading winzip...
if you do not wish a tril version of win zip you can get a free full last years version from www.oldversion.com (one of my fave sites)
trial
i go there for avg,win zip,vlc media player..etc..etc
thank you
i use vlc media because the media player for win 7 is a bloated pig of a program that uses waaaay to much resources
uusue2. I was able to get it from the address you posted. Thanks everyone for your help.
yaaa for tink!
yw :-)
if you have problems with it sue,i can send it uncompressed but it will take longer
no, I got it
my computer will unzip .zip files but not .rar files
hey all, need to transfer the stidkid from point a-prime to point a-second... for the first "tech" rehearsal for the first play (opens tuesday) but before I go... the E on the bottom for NBT please?
pl of 3-letter sea bird, stid

rar file are great for when transferring large files,i use them all the time
lots of my old favorites on there, I will have to spend some time narrowing it down :-)
lol, crossy has quite a collection going:)
and they are getting very, very hard to find on the internet as various rules and regs change from country to country involving the internet..for example we are not allowed hulu.com here
reminds me,crossy is trying to track down some james herriot in e-book format..brb
ok, I am not quite 2/3 which is when I let myself list but it is too hot. Listing.
and typer is so too a word:(
It is indeed :-)

mmmm...timtams....
hello all. All the Borders Bookstores will be closing:( there is one less than 5 minutes from me too
Perri they tanked here too
lots of people will be out of work
very sad.
was surpised to hear of Jennifer Lopez and her husband splitting. was hoping that it would last
They tanked here because of poor administration skills and they were too expensive. Sadly though they took a brilliant ''independant'' book store too
the one Borders we had is already closed
does not surprise me about j-lo..hear she assaulted and assistand cause her bottled water was not the right temperature
hi peri! we lost ours too... very sad indeed
sevveral in the area have already closed. it is just that the one near me is the only bookstore that is easy to get to
did not hear that crossy
hey peri, shopping today and sending this arvo
arbo?
arvo even
crossy, was it dark, white, milk or caramel??
arvo - afternoon

make sure you list yer return adress mrp..cause i will send you a treat
peri, don't worry! we can't get food via mail here, they confiscate it and chuck it out
I think white, but I am not sure, mrp
Angus and Robinson were bought by the same Borders corp here.
Mr Pres no pop tarts :(
I think it was white too, yes
well I could send other things. I will e-mail you
hi infern! :) sorry, talking over everyone here!
customs take all mailed food from overseas and burn it
then how come you can mail food to me?
crossy, thanks sweetie, but treats of food not allowed IN to Aussieland
cause your country accepts food from other countries
oh ok, glad that they do
you can't send seeds, nuts, anything... not even a leaf!
just popped in to say hi.
bye for now
and god forbid I get a piece of wood in the mail!! the questioning is stupid!!
hi peri!! **hugs** & Luv and kisses for popping in!!
see ya hun
hi peri/bye peri
Apparently Gelatin that you find in Pop tarts and JEllo comes from cows and that is bad as you can transmit MCD. Which is stupid because it is actually an enzeme off the skin of the cow
crossy, how is your evening going??
I have nice news for you all today
It is lickety and my 15th wedding anniversary today, and tomorrow is our 16th anniversary of meeting eachother. :))

i knew the split second at the exact pint when i knew i had to ask her for her hand'

hey, yall!
hi seain
hi, stid, m9, nef, et al :) hope everyone's staying cool!
hey seain
we're actually having a lovely cool spell
with rain!
love it
it actually turned sunny here around 3 pm... felt nice. I suppose you have had pretty nasty heat?
boy, stid, you are being tough on yourself!
Ah, yes, yall in the cool corner of the country for now :)
you go south seain?
hi seain
precisely halfway!!!! :-D
yay
I live in the Washington DC area, in Northern Virginia, grew up here and by default speak with a lighter drawl than the one i had when i was young.
it's really nasty here: 94 (F) actual temp but the humidity has brought the heat index up to 117 today.
Though, i still sing the alphabet song with a drawl, which makes me laugh inside everytime i sing it
humidity is no fun
I knew you were in dc. Didn't think they said y'all there
oh.. total YUCK Nef!
I'll admit it: I'm sick of weather this year! :-(
it was about the same here too. it's currently 84 F with dew point at 82F
we that grow up here do, m9, all the way up into Baltimore :)
I would take a couple weeks of sunny heat from you-all any time. I really need some extended vitamin D.
interesting.
down to 100! :-D that's good for today. Will be back tomorrow. (((Hugs and choclits for all))) *poof*
we even learnt in school to wright you-all because, as my teachers told us, "y''all ain't standard"
sweet dreams, stid
you can have as much as you like, stiddy!!
oh ha@
night stid
stid, it's too hot and miserable to even go outside right now (at 10:30 PM!) It's still 85 degrees right now!
we expecing a low near 76 tonight, but it's supposed to get warmer later in the week.
we have heat index warnings through Thursday now; Saturday is the first day they are predidcting we will finally have a high less than 90 here
we're getting around 98 on Saturday . . . ugh
thank goodness for AC!!
ours run through Sunday: NOAA's peak heat index forecast for DC Wed-Sun: 103, 109, 111, 111, 106
Hear, hear Une re AC! :D
The Mississippi River hasn't returned to it's "normal" seasonal levels since last spring; we've had that much rain too
we're to be like that through weekend, too Une, no fun.
:-D
is it still in flood stage anywhere, nef?
good evening, une
howdy, seain :-)
seain, I tried to access that info (about flood stages here) and the link I usually use is a state site. And our "wonderful" state is shut down!

hi Jellen! How are you?
mrp....if you were here in the states, they would probably make a movie-of-the-week about the prick. Best of luck
he is a complete idiot nef!
movie of the week! LOL!! it would be a very long running soap opera
he must be. And then to be harassed by someone else too! you must feel like you need to be a hermit or something!
Just don't let the bastards get you down
Oh I won't! Am standing up to it all now... and the courts can see that too
Good for you, mrp.
