Neil -- have you met the Israeli Babblers? Like ARB...
I haven't seen ARB in forever!
SA6
I've said hi to him... he didn't respond. Probably busy in the grid I guess.
Oh, you read my little rant in my profile?
Yes
Some people really make me shake my head.
ARB pops in from time to time -- maybe when you're sound asleep on the other side of the globe, mep
*mrp
on ya neil... good enough rant

te8
congrats neil -- I assume you've finished, lol?
fireworks
hi cos
are you serious grem?
congrats, grem
Congrats, gremlinn!
used the list today
congrats grem (neil, did you beat grem?)
ok, flower day it is
wow
oh grem, shock, horror!
agreed jill lol
Huh, jilli? No clue. Not trying to beat anybody.
I know it's flower day but yesterday was soodle's b'day and I'm keeping my icon for that until she sees it -- had to brush up on Irish!
2nd column r stats?
stuck my iris in there.
re6/27
I know, neil, but I can't help but be curious because you're so fast at this and so is grem
half way
found an re 5 for that r thanks anyway
get it?? hehehe, iris, flower... ah forget it
gremm's probably better.
mrp -- you're BAD!!!
who was that other guy who was even faster than me?
dart?
chuggaboom, grem
chuggaboom
no, someone who was only here occasionally
well, I thought it was clever! LOL
yeah, chugga
Hi ruru -- snap!
statd for the c?
Is that the one Laura told me finished the entire grid in like 5 minutes... which is of course, humanly impossible if you're finding and typing in the words yourself? Or was that someone else?
cy 5
I think he beat me and he didn't even register so didn't have the Tile Stats to use
phant -- dreck
hi ruuster ((hugs))
thanks diz
no.. he did do it in 5 and a half minutes 200 words
nd the R in last column for nbt?
yw
That's nearly PB for you, jilli.
dreck is always in the grid jilli, just in different format
prbably, neil -- can't think of anyone faster
so true, mrp, lol!
hi diz :) hi cos :)
Ok, ruru... doesn't something about that seem completely wrong, somehow? You can't type that many word into the grid in 5 and 1/2 minuts. Never mind finding them first.
nevr mind
nevr mind
Words, even. Geez!
nbt
dero is so a word!!
Could you give the stats for me, cos? Need both...
I could type 400-500 words in that time if I had them in front of me to type in
And I think the fastest typists are probably around 250 wpm?
wtg cos
Yes, if you didn't have to think. Sure, I could do that. I'm a very fast typist since I earn my living in part, doing that. But to find the words and enter them in that time? No.
like narco... short for narcotics... dero is short for derelict... a term of endearment here
the 9 is an ir?
Most people couldn't type them all into the grid in that time, plus find them. So I think he isn't finding them.
I think he is just a word savant.. gremlin
yes cos
Logical conclusion.
I think he is something else.
he is...I've played a few people around that level of skill
if he isn't finding them, what is he doing then?
Well I'm considered one but it takes me about 20-30 minutes to finish most of these grids.
nbt/nbs
obviously an alien-made android come bent on world domination.
hi jes :)
wtg cos
nbt
Hell if I know how he does it... some kind of software program would be my guess?
i want to be one of those jes!!
I doubt it, he's just one of the best
I want world peace, and peace in the chog.....
Right.
There is, far as I know, meliae?
Ummm, not world.
Peace on all of you too ;-)
I don't think he was a cheat neil.. he did get stuck on one grid
lmao Jill
I think sadly that's a little much to hope for.
He did?
i am a cheat!!... I ask for clues all the time! to some, that is cheating
Haha!
nah, not here
oh.. if those are the rules... I'm the biggest cheat
but, we are here and entering words and I am bloody good at finding compound words ... isn't that right friends?
Well I guess it could be, but it isn't the same as being given the word... you still have to think a little!
well we wont talk about 'those' people lol
first word I saw way de7
you are indeed, mrp -- I'm in awe
LOL !!
mrp cheats! I saw her a hundred billion times with my own eyes!
you find the biggies for sure mr. p.. none better
I'm a cheat too, I admit it. Hi ru!!
Yes you are, mrp!
!! thanks ruuster!!
Ok fine... we're all cheats. :P
**bows to all the cheats** LOL!
How can you cheat here? It's not a competition.
I remember waaaaay back when, and Mrp had her arm surgery and she was sooo loopy it was hilarious ((HUGS))
I am so average compared to others. but I do get it done
I remember that too.
and she kept putting the words in the chog, I think she spent that whole recovery in the PB lol
oh darling! loopy was the drugs!! I was so off my face! LOL... down at the hospital computer keying away
I use every help available, so what?
Well I'm having a more difficult time with this one... not even halfway yet believe it or not. Haven't listed yet though. May need to soon.
wishes I had mr. P's drugs right now
there are some wayward words in this grid!! difficult is my conclusion on the rating of this one
I use very cheat available shhhh I even use more words, perish the thought!!!
I have all of 34 words but have enjoyed the banter, which is half the fun here -- maybe more than half for me.
There are.
The ir9 means "A region that is culturally or historically related to one nation but is subject to a foreign government"
I had never heard of it before...
I agree Jilli, I love you all so much, even ruru, but dont tell him that! ~grins~
hey!
what am I chopped liver over here?
Aww.
I have 98 to go and just puttering around so far
No ruru, you got mentioned there. ;)
nbt
I have a feeling the hard ones are coming
wd, jes
I was doing okay with it until the "even"...lol
it is a tough one because of the ending.. monkeyed around with that
lucky you mel..lol
Yes, that one was harder.
not that many hard ones actually
lol ruru ((HUGS))
good for you, mel -- I do too. First I try for nbt, then nbs, trying not to list until then but sometimes doing so, Then I go through the list until I'm stuck, looking for clues all along, then go to morewords. Everyone has a different way of going about it.
anyone care to help me find the re 8?
past tense of a re6
re + ne6... what birds did to have little babies
ty ty!!
thanks mrp
ty mrp
OMG! Charlies Honest Quencher Old Fashioned Lemonade with Vodka!!! thank you god!
I'm really dragging tonight, must get to bed soon but want to get at least half way

Could I ask a big favor of you all?
sorry you are tired flosey glad you came anyway
this grid could use a few more e's, a's, and r's don't ya think?
oh, thanks Dee, just a bit too much on my plate
Those re words are so arbitrary
gotta go matey's... have a visitor! bbfn!
yes jellen.. what?

made a yummy recipe today... sliced potatoes, onions, garlic, ham, cheese, butter, salt, pepper, wrapped in foil and baked in oven at 400 ... yummy
I'm trying to buy a pair of shoes for a date...can't make up my mind, lol...
sure jell
I had the most wonderful wine/margarita thing at the fair, it was touted as a lemonaide wine and they poured it over crushed ice it was heavenly, but I did not make note of the name, it was a local vinyard I think, and cannot find it now.
hi flosey -- I doubt if I'll get halfway -- really tired too.
oh..evanine is the expert on shoes
Pair #1: http://tinyurl.com/424wj9d
but go ahead
the red ones
where is the date?
Pair #2: http://tinyurl.com/422ulj5
He's probably sleeping in his bed by now.
I vote for # 2
Um, it's probably going to be lunch or coffee...Will wear with jeans...
definitely 2
#1 I think
#2
Thanks, Dee!
I made an old-fashioned roast beef with roast potatoes and gravy -- first time in years. Skipped the Yorkshire pud as a nod to the calories. Boy, was it good!. Now I have good leftovers.
# 1 with a dress
I love that shoe material with jeans...
I agree ru
anyone call the 9?
I call it difficult!
ooo yummy Jill I will be right over for a slan on a thick piece of bread
slan=slab sorry
yummmmmmy jili... we call those manhattans here, if over bread...
Hmm...Maybe I'll get both...
My brother could have helped you Jellen. He's a fashion expert... I have no clue. But go with 2 if everyone else says so. I'm sure they're right. ;)
found a bunch of te 8's though dee
please pray for us Tuesday... we have two showings Tuesday eveing...
And wear #1 on your left foot, #2 on the right.
have all the 8's, just can't find the 9
Haha, gremlinn...

160 down and crashing -- see you tomorrow :)
I like #2 Jellen.
both would be good, jell lol
Bye, nan
well done nan
Haha, gremlinn!
sleep sweet nan
nini Nan, sweet dreams
Okay, it looks like #2 will be my first purchase...
My dad sometimes puts 2 different socks on. Then tells my stepmom when she notices, that he has another pair just like that in his sock drawer.
nice that you are going out on a date jellen
[he does that accidentally, we THINK]
Oh, if I do get #1 as well, which color did you like better? The black or the anthracite?
BLACK
I like black!
That's pretty funny, neil...
Your dad sounds like fun, neil, like my late lamented silly hubby
isn't anthracite coal? so wouldn't that also be black?
*is very confused*
I liked the #2 Tribal, jellen
definitely black
He is, jilli... keep us all on our toes.
No idea what anthracite even means.
That made the choice easy!
Yes, I'm looking forward to it...and he's 6'3", so I can wear heels!
I'm sorry you're bereaved jilli. You must miss him.
prbably charcoal, grem
anthracite is a type of coal
metalic color grem
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthracit e
It's kind of a muted silver color...
Oh wow Jellen. He'd make me look short even.
I do, neil, but remember the fun.
My friends have two black cats named Anthracite and Bituminous...
that's cute, Griffums :)
Great names, Griffums!
Luckily they wouldn't come when called no matter what their names were...
Of course jilli. Hi Seain.
i had a Jasper, and have Feldspar, sister has Alabaster
my hubby is 6'5... have never had to worry about height of shoes...
I had guppies called Amyloidosis and Blastomycosis.
adorable , jill :)
Do they get called shorter nicknames, Griffums?
hi dc! We have 2 showings Tues evening... keep your fingers crossed
you didn't, jilli! how mean!
I had a hamster named Ralph.
Yes, Neil - "The Cats"
oh, may an offer come, Dee :)
I like David Letterman's dog called Bob, and his movies.
please, pretty please!!!
Good luck, Dee!
Very funny, Griffums. "Here, kitty kitty!" -- Right?
will be sending positive thoughts Dee
I had a little black cat named Buckminsterfullerene. Bucky for short of course. Very scientific soot.
I slipped down the stairs yesterday and hurt my foot, so reminded me again of how much I want to get rid of the stairs... so hoping this is "it"
jes, it was at McGill -- they were named by a med student. They didn't survive, poor things.
we had a black cat named ninja.. she was adorable
It's in all the cat newspapers: Top Ten Cat Names This Year: (1) Kitty, (2) Kitty, (3) Kitty....
missed the last two steps... big ouch
Oh no, jilli. :(
nice, rasta
I had a neighbor named Kitty - a human, no less.
glad you were not seriously hurt, dee
Isn't 'Fluffy' in there, Griffums?
Used to have a client with an albino python. Her name (the snake's, not the client's) was Linoleum.
I still have a friend called Kitty -- she lives in Menorca now.
But even Fluffy is often called Kitty. No wonder cats ignore us.
me, too, dc... the jury is still out on whether I torn anything... still in icing and compression process...
lol grif
Ouch, Dee... be careful!
the Illes Baleares are wonderful :)
oh jes, that takes the cake.
to our cats.. I was a walking can opener ..that's all
Oh man. Take good care of that, Dee.
my cats names are: Anika, Orange Julius Caesar, Ozmandius, and Pandor
Pandora
it happened so quickly
not Ozymandius?
lovely all, jes, esp like the snake
We visited Kitty in 1968 -- we're still in touch at Xmas -- she's my son's godmother.
Current cat named Trillium. She trills when she purrs
no grem. Ozzy, mostly. He fits it--paranoid as any ex-druggie is that cat.
That's all anyone is to cats, ruru... a servant. They have humans well trained.
My dad and stepmom have cats.
Ozymandias, King of Kings...
Nice, Rasta...
one of our cats would sit on my head until I woke up to feed her
9 is ir 9/60 btw
oh ugh
ty, dee :)
My Susiecat did that too, ruru. Sweet.
yqw
Haha!
That sounds pleasant.
Well, she sat on the pillow above my head.
[cat sitting on your head when you're in bed]
Oh, ok.
I miss her too.
Shoes on the way!
Amos, cat i grew up with, went to sleep on my chest every night from age 4 -- it was hard to breathe. By age 7 i could breathe. At age 14 they measured my lung capacity and asked if i were from Denver, as i had a lung capacity on par with someone that was from that altitude or higher. ALl thanks to 16 pounds of cat on my chest for years on end as a youth. LOL
then she would make muffins on my head until I woke up
way to go jell
is this a first date?
Cool, Jellen.
Yes, it's a first date...
Which shoes, jellen?
nice
Make muffins on your head, ruru? No, never mind. Forget I asked... please!
#2 in black suede
have fun, jellen!
ditto what ru said!
lol jellen.. you go girl
nice, jellen!
awww, ruru. We called it making biscuits. With some cats it's just tenderizing the meat before the attack.
you know neil when the cats do that Kneading thing
Oh yes, ok!
That's making bread.
Kneading the dough. Dough-head? Haha!
LOL
lol, Griffums
neil is so mature ;)
It's probably the latter, Griffums.
an 6 and an 7
oh.. dang it dee.. are we looking for words here?
Did someone give the stats for the C? Could someone?
lol occasionally
cy 5/18 Jell
Wasn't calling anyone one of those, Griff... just realized what I'd said and it seemed funny. ;)
cy5/18
Just popping in briefly, me the crazy cat lady. Hope you're saying sweet things about kitties...
Hi mab!
cy 5/18... looks like drink made from apples in the fall..usu. served warm... diff vowel
ok, half way and I'm off to bed, goodnight all
Thanks, mel and jes!
and Dee!
g'night flo
G'night, flosey
hi, mab, yes, cats are good :)
sleep sweet, flosey
night flosey
I know, Neil, it made me laugh too. hi mab!
leaving it open in case I'm awake during the night
Of course, mab. That they're superior beings and we humans are merely their servants. ;)
gnight flosey
hi griff.
nite flosey
i think i'm off too. 155 found. back for the rest tomorrow. g'night all
I love cats .. but I am highly allergic to them
night flosey, sweet dreams
luv cats, dammit, even the one that bit me
Good night jes... sleep well.
I am too, ruru.
nite jess. (they are dropping like flies now)
I am too. (Allergic, I mean.) Also allergic to dogs, which is interesting in my line of work.
G'night, jes
it's that time, ru. we're all turning into pumpkins.
oh, that is odd, jilli, that rogue kitty.
56 to go should I go for it tonight or save some for tommorow? hmmmm
Long haired cats especially... not as bad with short-hairs. Can tolerate short-haired cats just fine if they've been bathed, for a day or two.
de 7 not alive + body part for seeing
I also found out that I am highly allergic to tea-baggers..
I've never bathed a cat in my life.
Wow, Griffums... dog day care with allergies to them?
I see you're on Google Blogspot too?
maybe I'll follow you.
Yes, me and the owner both!
The attack cat still comes to my deck almost every day and begs to be let into my house. Noting doing.
Prepared to be led into many blind corners, grasshopper.
I found that out myself, ruru... you read my article and watched that clip I recorded of that nutbag?
how did the Tea Party come into this.
LOL grid
Oh yes, Griffums? cool. Going to look.
*Nothing doing.
grif
Allergies, mab.
the tea party is always a set up for a joke for me Mab
Now I feel very pressured to go write something. I've been awful about it. Um, here, I'll give you a topic. Search for the one about the Death Ray Llamas from Hell.
ty dee for the de7
That cat is maybe a young thing. Although cats can be unpredictable.
yw
I couldn't get it to work neil..I'm sorry.. the little red face am e up and said video not available
I attended a protest, Griff... Washington DC, 9/12, 2009. Wrote an article afterwards about my failed attempt to infiltrate the Tea Party Movement. And showed ruru a short video clip I recorded of a tea bagger... I mean nutbag. You'd shake your head.
It was interesting, to say the least.
ok, back... just showed my friend, Sarah, Babble... and she thinks it looks pretty cool! we might have a new babbler!
Maybe you should try to infiltrate the Dough-heads.
Oh yes, mrp?
and their bites are bacterially awful.
Well done, mrp!
ooo nice Mrp
cool, mrp :)
too late Griff, he's already a dough head.
hi dcs!! ((hugs))
what are the dough heads?
Saw Jon Huntsman on CNN tonight with Piers Morgan. A smidgen of sanity there.
there can't be any dough heads on the west coast
I'm getting nowhere with this grid
Ok Griffums... your blog has a new follower.
ok grabbing the list with 42 to go, getting a wee bit rough here
Don't be so sure, ruru. I have at least one living in my building... in the apartment below mine.
I have one stinking word left. Ok, gonna kill it.
what's a dough head?
yes, that Bachmann woman and Perry are both religious zealots with the full backing of a rather scary, wealthy and well=organized ultra conservative religious group
I would think they are only in the yeast...er i mean east
hahaha Rurur
the dough head thing goes way back in tonights chog when someone was talking about kitties.
knew I'd get a rise out of mel
well hopefully soon they will have their island built and they can all move to it and cede from the union
oh
You should see the article Seain posted about her on G+ mab. Scary isn't the word. And an interview of hers my brother found and posted. Unreal.
And I dont' know, ruru. Someone who's head is made out of dough? Or a tea bagger.
Whose head. geez.
you know, how they do that thing with their darling little feet.
check out talk2action.org
Can't tell I'm overtired, much. I know better than that!
right before they impale you with their darling little daggers.
good information on the New Apostolic Reconstructionists.
my two desperately need their darling claws clipped - can't find the clippers.
fireworks
Oh good luck there
Hi peoples - I am SO glad you are on my side! Try Yahoo's comment boards and it will curdle everything including your blood!

Late hooray for Dee!

That's the one I have left.
nite ru - ty for not thinking I'm crazy!
I'll look at it tomorrow am hoot
I just listed with that 1 darned word left!

Thanks, Dee!
That did it.
Thanks, ru!
my, this chat is whizzing by!
Bad that I actually needed a clue... couldn't even see that simple, common word for looking! Geez.
Hello all - I am down to 67 left and just noticed that i have blanks for the right column e and t - any clues please
congrats, neil :-)
Hi ursh!
it certainly is. makes one dizzy.
Thanks, jilli!
Hi ursh.
Hi, ursh...the T is to 5/10
you had arterial blockage neil
Very funny ruru.
you needed to go for the jugular and finish the grid
ty, jellen
ty jellen I had everything else to do with that word just not the plural
dr Palmaz who created the st5 lives here in Napa
The E is et 4/4
The e is et4,4.
I just posted that. Then saw your post appeare first, Jellen, haha!
R in the second column, please?
Appear, even. Can't type now.
oh good grief - ty neil and jellen
yw ursh.
you need rough before the re5 jellen
I thought that was a cute clue
Thanks, ru, but I don't think that's it...
oy, kevaltz, why isn't "oyed" a word?
16 to go all re words, brb need more wine, lol
It's gevalt.
Oy gevalt!
great-grandpa always said oy vey fer shimmel
You tell em neil!
Like that new event in the Jewish Olympics: The oyge vault. :P
oh sorry, I'm just a goy
or the shot putz
and he's fluent in yiddish too
sorry neil - not jewish - just brooklyn and friends
er... shiksa
no jilli!
brb
no what, mab?
×™×Ö¸ ×יך ×§×¢× ×¢×Ÿ רעדן ×ון שרייַבן ×Ö·×– צו
That's a very awful word, meaning something like 'creeping abomination.' So no, not you
showoff, neil, lol!
which, mab -- goy or shiksa?
shiksa, jill
oh I thought a shiksa was a non-jewish female??
Wow - I didn't know that mab - it is used all the time in stuff I've read. Shoulda known I guess.
shiksa- very very bad. goy is good.
I thought so too, ursh
me too jilli
that's what i have heard too
live and learn!
You tell them, mab. ;) Busy here for a few.
what was that you wrote in Hebrew, neil?
I never heard any of my friends use the word - I've only read it.
I used to call my boyfriend my shabbas goy, meaning a non-jew who does things for jews that jews can't do on shabbat.
"Yes I can speak and write that too."
That's not fair is it mab?
yes, lights the lights.
Candles.
it's a loophole...
hanukah
it's just a minora distraction
oh all right - how do you spell it? I've seen it 3-4 ways
My Jewish pal here says it's Chanukah
Menorah. :P
I think I better go to bed. You have distracted me enough!
damn
oh ruru, I thought you were going to ice your knee
I'm going.. im going
There's no correct English spelling of tranliterated Hebrew or Yiddish, jilli. It can be hanuka, hanukka, hanukah, hanukkah, or any of those with a c in front as well.
And your Jewish pal should know that.
Transliterated, even. My typing's on it's way to hell in a handbasket. I think that means I need sleep.
She just said that was the way she had been taught to spell it in Englaish, neil.
no, it's more like turning electrical lights on and off, and other appliances. or carrying, or a lot of stuff that jews are prohibited from doing.
Well we see it written any of those wayas.
yes mab, it's all of that.
if they are very observant. there's a spectrum
*English, I can't type either.
But that's what I immediately think of.
Ok - I'm finished. Happy new year and good night!
i don't actually need you to confirm my assertions, neil
sorry. that was snarky.
peace.
Well gee, sorry I spoke I'm sure. Hope your night improves. Bye!
shalom
i said i was sorry
Still working on nbt -- 2nd column R and 5th column T still blank.
to 5/10, jilli...a plural carrying bag
dr 4/9, another yiddish word. enable must be one of the tribe
~ Firewords ~
ty jellen
Good evening to my fellow babblers! How is everyone?
wd mel!
Hooray for mel!
Congratulations meliae on your fireworks! Good for U
well done - I'm amazed at how fast you and dee are
Hi, Min
well I listed at around 50 I think it was, too many ddddd's were confusing me lol
you too jellen? congratulations!
mab, I tried that earlier but with a C inserted -- a phantom.
Oh, no...not me!
Hi Min
an 6/7 combo were the only words that were new to me, and made me go hmmm
Mel, could you give stats for the 2nd column R?
34 re words -- too effing many!
oh, sorry jellen. i'm up too late, getting confused and making neil stomp off in a huff.
I think its the color + what you see with
I just opened up the list at 115 words.First 100 were easy. Now the last 98 will be challenge without the list
Ooh, got one! re 6/27...past tense of the color
No worries, mab...
I am horrible at figuring out which words go with which tile when there are several together like that you would think after so many years I would get the hang of it
That's not the 2nd column R, jellen :-(
re 4/5 perhaps?
re + double consonant + past tense suffix? Pretty sure it is...
nope never mind that one works on the 1st column r
oh sorry it IS! nbt, whoopee!
woohoo jilli
Jellen, I had tried it without the dbl cons
Ty Jellen.
hooray!
brb time for my sneak of a smoke in the bushes lol
Whoopee for me, too! NBT...
You're welcome jilli
yay !
Yay, jellen!
hooray again!
Ugh! Just remembered I have laundry to tend to...
I should know this by now, but what does NBT mean?
Mab -- did you ever read my description of the Enabler in my profile?
No Blank Tiles, min.
no, but will do.
You should te 4/5 to your laundry in the Penalty Box.
No blank tiles...at least one word from each tile...
Will do, Min...need a snack anyway!
Yes, jilli! That sounds like enable to me!
And while you are doing your laundry in the PB,jillibus can re4/5 some snack recipes to you in there as well.
:-) mab
*places a box of Hershey Kisses with Meltaway Centers in the PB*
nasty red box!
I see there is no def for the ry4/10, grrr.
Hello dcseain! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
Hello Kaplan the Magne! How are you? Welcome to grid
hi, minver :) i'm okay. put together some end tables this evening, and have been doing laundry. How're you?
ry4, Miriam-Webster says: Scottish variant of reach
Hi Kap
evening, kaplan, and yes it is a nasty red box :)
I'm well dcseain. Getting an early start to the grid so will hopefully finish early later on today. List makes it easier. I'm about to stop though. Getting tired again.
well, isn't that nice, dc.
sleep well, minver
gnight min
G'night, Min
se6/24 is a word???
is that the dog type, jill?
no, dc
I typed 'aha! our jewish scot!' after dc's definition and it didn't work....
now it will appear six or seven times...
lol mab
as per jilli's enable profile
dc, itlooks like a past tense of se4/5
ah, had neither. Yes, we were se6 at the restaurant in a quiet corner
Hmmm....I concur, jilli!
crazy
hey all. VERY late flip!
evening, m9
Hi, m9...you missed an important decision being made earlier...
oh??
what?
did it involve shoes??
Is see that se6 is a nautical term which usually contains a C -- it's the past tense of " the upward heaving of a vessel pitching"
LOL, yes!
hi m9
for realz???
then yo ho and away we go... matey
hm. oh, THAT se4, hah! I had neither of those either, thank you again, jill
ah. it makes more sense with a c.
that is a weird one
dyed
oopsie
yw dc
Yes, for realz...I am going out on a date with a tall man, so I bought the first pair of heels in a very long time...
hope it goes well for you, Jellen :)
Ook, that was worded awkwardly!
too funny!! better practice!
i was thinking that too, about the practice
yes, jellen, don't teeter!
but they don't look too high.
Oh, I know...I'll need a crash course!
Perhaps crash isn't the best word to use...
how lovely jellen. oh yes, do rehearse.
oh.. we get to see them?
more Hebrew, I see, mab -- ts5/12
Just a sec...I'll get the link

Yes, mab
i do like suede. and they aren't frighteningly high.
Hey Sean, thanks for the lovely comment about the drunk baby! LOL
The heels are 3". Which is about 2" more than the rest of my shoes...
wow. 3"... I don't think I could do that.
jel wearing heels is so womanly... enjoy your date
I resized the pic.. is that better ?
oh, that's better, grandy -- lovely sunflower!
I do not like the high platformed, high heeled shoes, as I tend to fall off the platform.
drunk baby?
the "sot".LOL
hi, grandy
jilli.. that is one of two that were in my garden this year. hi dcs
oh, oh, oh! LOL yes, my typo
she is a VERY cute baby though!

Babble seems to be moving again now folks.
Its the hurricane, Irene. She blew herself out over the US and is now wreaking havoc in the grid.

It's working for me right now.
hi dach :) seemed to have frozen up at some stage. Hi Dianne :))

Glad to hear that things are progressing.

hi nono :)
am watching a movie I didn't realise existed... The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3. luv the directing/production... well done!
hey alll hey mr p
hello TO
(((owl))) !! how you going sweetness?
it's the remake and I think it's better than the original!
it is Tarantinoesque
I much prefer Denzel Washington to Walter Matthau
Denzel is a babe!
did you see The Book of Eli, mrp?
fina and you> have been working at jam band festival this weekend, hi ruby
and little Johnny Revolting actually makes a good baddie in this
luv a band that can jam!! on ya owl
i wanna biatch my face off right now, scream into a pillow and bite down on a log... but that is just my problem at the moment :(
I think Travolta is terrific! Did you see "Love Song for Bobby" or some such title, don't know what it was in English. Scarlett Johanssen
actually, a log wouldn'
wouldn't do... a 2 by 4 of stainless steel would be better
ok, def slowing
his comeback in Pulp Fiction was miraculous
I have that in my top ten fantastic/cult movie section on my PC
kje... someone did this grid in 22 minutes!! can you believe that?
well first 146 were quick
I can't imagine how that's possible!
first 60 were quick,; now I can't even get to half!
indeed ruby... some people questioned it
we do have some that fast!
but there's no way you can cheat is there?
with list, that time is possible
of course there is ruby... a software program is easy enough to make if you have the means/knowledge
any clue for the c?
hi kje.
we have amazing fast babblers... like dart for instance... he is really quick!
alternate spelling of the drink
cy5/18
well, allegedly, it was listless owl
ty ruby
yes ty ruby
so rare for me to give a clue! lol
the only thing as pointless as cheating at babble is speculating about whether people are cheating at babble...
ok, 57 left and want to get my exercise in before it gets hot... will bbl!
I got the ir9 quickly enough, but I am the compound word babbler... first word I saw was de7
do you make housecalls, kje? We need you!
shut it hurshy
no one is looking for an argument here
oh my, a compound ir9?
haha hurshy
smacking those monkeys!
no owl! the ir has a strange meaning.... cultural
just giving an opinion...
which no one asked for or wants
what's the 3rd letter, mrp?
i wasn't aware that opinions in chat were by invitation only
is a double letter ruby
ahah, maybe that will help me....
ir4... double the second letter + vowel + what happens to car doors all the time in the carpark! and vowel
what a strange word. thank you mrp
wow like alsace lorraine I guess? or the alpine regions of italy?
yw ruby
looking it up...
it has a regional cultural meaning... interesting stuff
brb... darlings are looking for a cuddle before bed!
a little like here in Haute Savoie which belonged to Italy into the 19th C
i don't like a words
don't know how you can say that, TO, I have 3 already! hahah

has anyone here figured out the new fb privacy settings? i am showing up to friends of friends i do not wih to see my info
they make it more and more complez i am thinking of jsut closing my account
more new privacy settings?
i just checked..mine is stll custom
yes. i noticed when reading some of my friend's posts, i am seeing the profiles of people i do not care to be linked with. i assume they can then see my info if i comment
TO, go into My Account, Privacy settings, then click on the button under "Friends"
just re4 the new policy and i am reeling.
bzzn: things have changed, you control each post now
oh that... yes... mine are still showing according to custoom
i tried to custom.. but won't let me
mr p i am there did you see me?
owl, only if they search for you
If you have your settings locked down, meaning nobody is allowed to see your profile, wall, info, etc. unless they're friends, then it should be ok. you can also make it so you don't show up on searches.
(hi, btw!)
hi feather!! :))
go to account, top right drop down menu. go to privacy.
i see you... but if someone posts on your wall, I don't get it unless I go to your wall
hi feather
oops, hit enter too soon...
morning all, clue for the t in the 5th column for nbt
hi dag
hi dawg ((hugs))
anyway, then you can edit your settings for everything in there, making it so only friends see what you want.
hi TO, (((MRP)))
is it the softie bear?
hi dawg
mr p are you in fb now?
yes i am
hi feather. no mrp that's the other t.
one of my airheaded "moms" posted on my wall about the car... and she has friends who are on dxh's list...i first managed to "hide" the post...but that didnt remove it...then i managed to remove it...( u have to hide it first then go to the post once hidden and remove it to accomplish that)
carries, dawg
i was NOT impressed...
oh..mrp hun...???

ok back for a few

carlee: will you come and wash my Ruby? I can smell her before I see her and she hasn't gotten into anything!
7 more sleeps :)
{{mom}}
((carlee))
ir9/60 - ir plus run together a scarlet colour and almost a toothy adjective.
sure ruby... i dont mind washing animals...
great clue, haz, I had the word but was afraid to attempt to clue it
good afternoon, Haz
she is so beautiful that it belies the dirt underneath
Good morning/afternoon all. Babble was rather laggy earlier but it seems to be back to normal.
ty looking..
Or, ir plus the scarlet colour then mix up the babble volcano.
panz was pretty filthy too...not exactly sure why really..got alot of loose fur out of him too......he likes rolling in the mint i have growing out back...but the mint was over powered by the axe he got into this am
what is axe?
( my minty puppy )
I comb out the loose fur almost every day but wind up with black, greasy hands
axe is a popular teen / young man body spray...he bit into the aerosol can my son has... i was still sleeping...
that is so cute!
not the axe (!!!), the mint
thanks for the ir 9, Haz
ty for the ir9 Haz
he now has a mild wet dog smell ( but not smelly....nice and clean ) and he ran out and ran through the mint again... soo..all is good..he smells normal again
You're welcome, Mom.
And peri.
to early for the Ir for me... will tuck that clue away for after my 2nd coffee
thanks haz
No problem, carlee.
PHone.
8 clues anyone
?
dried animal saliva past tense peri is the only one i have
first two letters pls
da 8, 55
birds rebuilt their houses
re8
te - past tewnse of te 6/21
ok, will look
da8 - past tense of da6/24 - usually stuff associated with animals but Scots use it as a verb for a stroll. The Scotsman da8/55 down the hill to get his kilt repleated.
ty for da8 never would have used it as a verb
got the da 8/55 thank you Carlee and Haz
got the re8 and te8 too, ty
didn't know what da6 was
ty for the 8's!
see you later, dinner to cook
da6 can either be almost a dandruff thing or that Scots stroll. Or you can be angry and get your da6 up (presumably it's to do with the animal context)
((Ruby)) take care, nice seeing you
byebye ruby
Bye, Ruby!
And hi everyone else
hi java ....
good morning Java2
It *is* a good morning!
morning indeed! just turned tuesday here :)
happy tuesday!
oh boy..i just went into my living room...that is where the damage waas done...my head just filled up again... i am going to HATE axe even more now
I'm still enjoying Monday - and a holiday, to boot
ooooh it is labor day holiday there!
It is Labor Day...Carlee, wish we could all be there to help you
yeap...labour day here too
I find it hilarious that we have Queen's Birthday in June, and I think she is born December! LOL .... but it is a public holiday!! Do you get Obama Birthday holiday?
we have queens birthday in may...
we have Presdidents Day in February - compromise wehen we used to have both Lincolns and WAshingtons
( java...my dog decided to bite a cannister of axe body spray ...my living room smells like 40 well groomed gigolos slept over )
We have a generic President's day in February so we can't discriminate, I guess. Wouldn't want to single out any particular president as better than another one.
Ohhhhhh Carlee...I can't begin to think of a suggestion! (but is the dog OK?)
The Queen was born in May but the celebrations for the sovereign's official birthday(Trooping of the Colour) have been held in June since the 18th century.
any clues for the T and O in bottom corner
ot5/10 - an animal
teach... the t is carries
TY - didn't have either one of those
Canadians do the Queen's birthday in May ... because the old name for the day was Victoria Day ... and she was born May 24th ...
... heavens ... we still call it Victoria Day ... even if most people don't know who Victoria was
There are a number of "old" holidays that have been modernized/updated to be less specific - Memorial Day is another one here
good old Victoria!
Edinburgh still celebrates Queen Victoria's birthday as well with a holiday.
"Rule Victoria"
do you have strict laws on operating businesses on Good Friday and Christmas Day??
crossy still has some of our old coinage with her 3 chinned visage on the obverse;0
good morning everyone
hi crossy!! ***hugs***
Not any more. Businesses used to close for 3 hours at noon on Good Friday, but no one observes that any more.
... used to ... but I think they found them to be unenforceable ... and unconstitutional
(((MRP))
Most places still do close on Christmas Day, although some are open for part of the day...and of course, anything with "station" in the name is most likely open
we have laws here... if you sell alcohol on those two days, massive fines!!
hate to run off, but going for a drive with my sweetie. ((Hugs)) to all of you
enjoy your drive!
Interesting - alcohol is the basis of all things unreligious, I guess. Wasn't there something about a wedding and some wine? I seem to recall (and there is no sarcastic font)
Have fun, mom
dog is fine...its my nose i am concerned with...
years ago i was running one of 2 service station on the main strip of our town.myself and the guy at the other station used to take turns opening up for half a day on christmas to fuel police cars and other emergency vehicles if there was a need
you have an axe up your nose! of course it will be painful!
That can't be a good smell! Even when it's not concentrated...
... but I'm going to bet that you don't have the porportionately large south asian, chinese and muslims populations we do ... and unlike the US ... in the census the number of Canadians identifying themselves as Christion is less than 50 % ... (they'll say Christian extraction)
true, our country is mostly christian.
LOL Mrp...and that was a good thing to do, Crossy.
I don't know how many people admit to being any religion any more. And it's disturbing. If you can't commit to something, you won't commit to anything. "All it takes for evil to win is for good people to do nothing" - that's paraphrased rather poorly, but I think y'all get the idea
well java,i believe in god and jesus, but i do it with my family and in my own way, cause some of the fan clubs out there are insane!
because you are in church whenever 2 or more of you are gathered in his name.
my "tithe" does not go to the beautification of some church, but to the cancer hospital childrens ward.i figure more of my cash gets to the source that way
Yup, insanity is out there - it always has been. Witch burnings are a good example, but Christians (and others) have been killed in some rather gruesome ways. You're right about 2 or more, too. We just re** that yesterday.
easy as pie
... do you remember The Church of Monday Night Football? ... It was five guys trying to get a tax break for their big screen tv and their beer ...
Have any other babblers discovered the treat on google.co.uk Hit the play prompt on the picture of Queen.
I'm confident enough is my church and the larger church body to give there. And then I carefully choose other organizations - local ones - for additional giving. I'm fortunate enough to personally know people involved in organizations, so I know exactly where my contributions are going.
*in my church
I do not remember the Monday Night Football church - LOL
nor do i
... I'm not sure if they got to the US Supreme court because the IRS denied them recognition as a church and thus denied them the tax break
there will always be someone trying to work an angle or twist a rule or loophole
Haz - I just went out to the Google.co.uk site- that's great! Did anyone else see the Les Paul tribute?
Isn't it fun?
les paul was da man!
grid will not take the plurAL of re 6, the color of your visiion tool. Any help?
inge the re7 is used a towel again.
Google does some amazing things: They made a permanent site for Les Paul:

see now vanilla and i give the best clues
thats great sue I envy you we go for long trail hikes often
part of the arboretum is all neat and groomed as gardens, but a lot of it is wild
*chocolate
sure, crossy hops into the pb and whips up some fluffy cheese onion and green pepper omelettes on crunchy buttered texas toast
an6?
they are trying to restore the original hardwood forest and also the prairie (in different parts, obviously)
and put on a few rashers as well
we have a few of them here but they keep them as natural as possible
ooh - if I had found any words I would join crossy in the PB!
that would make nice company
I think
vanilla, here's their web site: www.mortonarb.org

Whee! M's done!
went and played tennis this morning. i should go take a shower.
{spritzes mixi with eau de toilette}
no sweat
yaa for car!! how did you like the program?
Hi vanilla!
hi car, whats dragon?
and dragon gets better over time as it learns your speech patterns
I was frustrated for a bit trying to figure it all out...but I LOVED it!!!! I was able to get the Medical version for free so that was a bonus!
i found our copy of dragon reached peak effectiveness after 3 months of regular use
sometimes you have to coach it on sinmgle words for a bit
Its a program in which you dictate and it automatically types what you say. I do medical transcription for a living and had been toying with this idea for some time. Now that I have done it, I wish I had it years ago!
single
With the amount of work I do I don't think it will take quite that long!
sounds like you just talk out the report on my hernia
this will change your life car.i promise
Yes, I have already done this. It didn't quite know what to make of Takayasu's arteritis! But it gets it now!
i have had my sons dragon program up to 120 wpm
hi, red! How is the rehab going? Are you able to run yet?
they say it can go as high as 160 wpm,but i want accuracy
With me it will be how fast I can repeat what the doctor is saying.

Like being an insider- homophone.
I am hoping that I will be able to take more work and make more money!
it is a wonderful program
click on it it says British noun
and so cheap now.i payed 300 dollars when gragon v 10 came out
how about the lone T?

darn typos,i should be using the thing now
It turns out someone used it at my DH's insurance company, so he grabbed the disk and set me up.
car! try it with babble! it works great!
just say enter after the word
think the lone t is the bear.
to5 - plural of a to4
Oooh...one thing at a time Crossy!
ty thought I had typed that

I thought the lone to was to5
it is Vanilla, plural of the to 4.

absolutely
but, QOL? not familiar with that
quality of life
ah, of course, thanks br

how come there's a comparative form of de4/6? You either are or you aren't
sorry
hi jen
and good morning to you, and Jen
de6 than a doornail
flos - can also have a scarlet seeing organ
yes, did get that one, thanks kj
and where did that come from kje? how alive would a doornail ever be?
google it
I've never meet a live doornail.. personally
i have the expression kje
probably came from Texas
prob due to the heat
heard of the expression
used in Canada
lol
transplanted Texans Flosey...
must have been!
hmmm...there are a couple of differing origins
any other clues needed before i poof
yeah my other 73 I can't find
i need 199
thanks kj, am going to take a breakfast break - is that redundant
stuck at 73??? i did't get stuck until 36... the listed ; )
doornail -- http://tinyurl.com/y8k2cl
crap.. now I have to get to 35 without the list
congrats, kje .... how are your feet doing?
i doubt you can do it...
thanks br
my feet are ok... blisters at the tip of both second toes saturday after 7 miles but they are minor and already better

Thanks Molly, have never seen such shoes
can you imagine how sick my humor will be on morphine?
oh yes, of course ru,
lol, can't wait!!
a bit slurry perhaps
It's bad enough already
Oh, that will be fun
lol, off to eat breakfast now, then have to bake a carrot cake for hubby to take to a potluck tomorrow
brb.. got to get brekkie to mrs ru
busy day, friends coming over this afternoon for drinks, etc. last day before school starts back (teachers)

good luck with that
22 more to go to list
thanks ru
all fun
I have 46 more, not sure I'll make it
ruru, is surgery on your calendar?? didn't realize . . . :-(
not yet.. but imminent .. I can't take the pain .. I'm tryinig to tough it out for a while..but that isn't working
I wanted to keep the pressure on Nadal.. but.. he can cruise now
soooo sorry . . .
aaahhh, know he'll be mucho relieved!
I know he's been worried...
what a cute doggie une
two of my three sisters-in-law had knee replacements this summer - both very successful and they're glad they did it
that's nice to hear java
ruru, she was soooo cute and sooo pregnant -- all she wanted to do was snooze on the towels on the back seat :-)
aww
the animal shelter in SF can't accept any more dogs right now.. they are full to capacity
no more pain, ease of movement, etc. of course, neither one played tennis before, so I doubt they are now
They say I can play.. as long as I don't overdo it
that's true of most shelters . . . thank god for rescues with lots of fosters waiting in the wings!
I can't wait to strike fear into Roger and Rafa..
and I'm sure they're quaking in their boots! LOL
but even the rescues and fosters aren't enough. son and daughter-in-law are involved in german shepher rescue and need more homes
bzz,i see you are a bird watcher.right down the road from us in wasaga beach,we have an area that has been closed off now for 3 years or so.we have two breeding pairs of piping plovers nesting on the beach.we even have people watching around the clock for the safety of these birds..there are 80 breeding pair world wide approx
hmmm, was it YOU who handed Rafa the hot plate that burned his fingers??!!
*shepherd that is
bb in a bit
no.. not me..what?
java, I know -- here in Nashville EVERYONE's begging for fosters to step up . . .
That is awesome, ru. Do they have a webcam on them?
wisconsin has a successful program with sandhill cranes
??
sandhill cranes are beautiful birds
<<<<<< the older gentleman who rescued Tinker is currently fostering 36 dogs!
omg
what a hero
and he LOVES every one!
my kids have between 2-4 fosters most of the time and GS are big dogs
http://www.wasagabeachpark.com/index.p hp?action=display&cat=33
Fostering 36 of them would be daunting
He IS a hero!
lives out in the country in southwestern Tennessee with his wife whom I've met as well -- they both do a lot of dog rescue transport
yeah, i have a neighbor who's always fostering at least half a dozen jack russells :-)
I watched a pair of bald eagles raise their eaglets on a webcam. Also watched nesting owls, hummingbirds and blue birds via webcam.
oohhh, I watched some fabulous hummingbird webcams that follow them from egg to first flight :-)
oh well, thought it would interest you..back to the grid...sploosh!
Once upon a time, we had three foster boxers + two of our own + a friend's boxer we were dog sitting.
hummingbirds have sex for about 1 second
crossy, that is tres cool re the plovers!
crossy, that's great; we have eagles and nests around where I am. my other son in Iowa sees them all the time - he took one picture of 85+ or - eagles in a field. needed 3 shots to get them all in
:-D
glad I'm not a hummingbird - couldn
java,we are actually getting a few american bald eagles back over here now as well
*'t be doing this
:D java
talk about a quickie
all the DDT we used in the 60,s played hell on the eagle eggs
crossy, that's great. they are awesome birds to watch. so glad Ben Franklin didn't get his way
here in NashVegas we have tons of redtail hawks -- once saw a pair mating just at the end of my street -- the whole beautiful spiraling thing . . .
grid? what grid?
nice to see indeed une
up close their wing span is amazing. . .
that must have been amazing, une. we have redtails, too, but I've never been that fortunate
did you know that up untill the early 80,s our ontario hydro company was using agent orange!!!! as a defoilliant to clear hydro corridor towers?..insane!
i couldn't believe it, java -- I was walking my dogs, looked up, and got to watch nature's show!
Indeed!
that would be hydro tower corridors
dyslexic am i
crossy, that's horrifying
or yoda
so do not hike under those tempting open fields under the towers, that stuff is set to leech for years yet
speaking of walking my dogs . . . back in a bit :-) *poof*
oh, yay, hi all! - glad Babble's back up, now for the question I was about to ask last night when it went away...
hint for the C for nbt? please and thank you! :)
strong apple beverage
Hi folks!
howdy origami
what! alt spelling? no wonder... (hi, origami!) :)
it's certainly stupid, anyway, and it's not the only stupid thing we, as a species, have done to destroy the world. Remember the dodo? And carrier pigeon? among others I don't even know about
indeed java
unlwess you happen to be native american, first nation,or inuit..all of us should of stayed where we were.the original people were doing a good job of it
Greetings crossy, rose
Passenger pigeon, I think you mean java
the list is long movie man and we should be shamed
some would argue with that, crossy. and I doubt it was a conscious thing. there were less people in general then, and the population explosion has had its effect. (and yeah, thanks, movie, you're right - I mistyped)
well whatever lets people sleep at night i suppose
omg this is soooo good
ahh enjoying yer brekkies ru?
we need to be more aware. this is the only spaceship we have - or are likely to have - for generations. if we don't take care, at some point, this orb will protest. and maybe we'll get earthquakes, tornadoes, fires, tsunamis, hurricanes, global climate change and who knows what else?
yup
oops - we're already getting all that, aren't we?
you are correct java
sometimes, anyway, crossy
we are seeing climate change bit time up here, and the further north you go,the worse it gets
big
polar bears? will they exist only in zoos soon?
soon java, the ice fields recede, the tempuatures go up,the bears can no longer roam the ice for seal
they're talking on WPR right now about the loss of meadowlarks...due to the loss of grasslands because of construction. will we never learn?
plankton that used to grow in the colder waters of the north, die in the warmer temps and whales that need it are in peril
I love polar bears (and not just because like me, their ancestors were Irish)
I think whales should learn how to eat Japanese fishermen
yes ru!
xactly
exactly
That would be great, ru!
i think there is just japan and norway left?
those guys could use some flensing
nasty..i like it
mostly Japan crossy
ah, not familiar with that word, but understand the practice; called "cutting in" here.
well, maybe they will be too busy for the next few years cleaning up to be bothered sweeping the seas clean of whales
our inuit use the term "flense" as well..but they only hunt for special occasions and it is tightly controlled
Or they could be suffering from radiation poisoning
I've seen "flenching" which is why I got it
I didn't want to blubber about it java..
good one!
it was a fluke...
I think, if you're gonna hunt it, you ought to raise/farm it - groan, ru!
groan...
That was a whale of a good one
lol
In a book I'm reading, the author wrote of children singing a Christmas carol, and a listener hearing "A whale in a manger..."
sounds like a whale of a tail to me
but no 3 hour cruises, please
they'd have to hold that manger together with baleen wire
baleing
...lol
thats it! stop the world and let me off!
enough! I have hold my sides together with that wire!
It's the bacon ...
I still need ten more words
well, I'm bacon you to stop
ha
ahh, munched another slice of bacon and am ok now
I have 10 words... together we are done
10 to get to 35 to list DR.. I'm far from done
I've not been entering words into the grid and so have 91 left...
Happy labor Day all
Hi, Boo. back at ya
Ty
back again. Got Aunty tucked in and watching her Polka program; sent DH and dtr. off to the last day of the State Fair and now have a bit of time to myself to Babble uninterrupted! :-)
It will be here when you return
Hi Nef
evil red boxes!
evil red boxes!
Yetta, you are in the grid again
No red boxes for me. Hi all.
Hi Molly :)
Clue for ad 6/21
ad and Mr. Hawthorne
HA.. I did it
ad + mr. hawthorne
35 to go
go ru go!
this grid is exhausting
hi all
Hi Per
Hi Peri
hi peri
just bought a new comforter. It came with bedskirt. two shaws, and 3 decorative pillows. The name of the design was Serenity. I could not pass it up. It is a pretty light aqua color with light brown trim
I spoke too soon. DH and dtr haven't left yet; DH needed help putting the cart carrier on the car and finding the basket for his scooter. GRRR!!! I WANT TIME ALONE befor Polka is done!
Sounds pretty
will talke a picutre of it soon. along with a picture of my cat and my my pedicure once I redo my nails.
Nice, peri...enjoy
i respectfully request a picture of the comforter, cat and pedicure all in the same picture.
((((Nef))))
It is more me than the other comforter I had. I wanted to get a full size bed but the room is not long enough :(
sounds beautiful, peri
I will see what I can do Leslie :)
yay
HI LA, How have you been?
Annie, do you have rain up there?
the whole set was on sale and I had a 20% off coupon. bought it at Bed Bath and Beyond. Also bought a down alternative blanket in dark brown in case I get really cold.
No, but it is very cloudy
it is overcast here
Thunderstorms expected tonight and tomorrow
good-o, annie, yourself?
Im fine
A friend of mine in Jersey called this morning and said they had rain from Tropical Storm Lee. I had to gently inform her that Lee has not left the Gulf States yet. : )
It is very rainy here today
Molly, Is it raining in Maryland
where are you, boo?
Yep, off and on. We're supposed to have scattered showers all day and tonight.
I wish I can funnel all this rain down to Texas
have te8,da8 and re8. help with last 8 pls
sorry i can't help but thanks for getting me to 3/4 peri :)
there are 2 te 8's
yw, glad to help, do you need clues
I think it is an se8 but not seeing it
oh! just a different last letter for other te peri
I know Annie. I had hoped that the tropical storm would send Texas some rain.
ty LA
me three. we're getting desperate. the entire state is on fire right now it seems
Wow Wild. Nothing near you I hope.
wild, that is terrible
some in the area but no immediate danger to me. starting to lose homes in some areas
I hope kje's home is safe
biggest one nearby is over 17,000 acres and out of control. over 300 homes lost
That is scary Wild. Stay safe.
Hello
just awful
Hi Sadie
hello sadie
very much so
I take issue with de6/24, how can anything be more de4/6?
if it is more so than a doornail?
hi Molly and Annie
well ok then, LA
please be sensible and evacuate if it comes to that. when I lived in CA, I had a list on the back of the door of what to grab on the way out and also had emergency packs
I am really trying to pare down here, but sometimes it seems as if the clutter is winning
would like to get different bureau and get rid of the dresser and repace it with a drafting table so that I could paint, do crafts, etc.
but all will happen in time
see you all later, bye
bye annie
I am worried about doornail abuse
power nap time for crossy,biab..poink!
I hear you, peri. I've been warning DH and dtr that when Aunty's condo is liveable again (fire was 6/7/11; roof just put on 7/25th; her unit only had some smoke & water damage but still isn't ready for someone to live there). But when it's decided that someone could live there ALL of her belongings will be coming out of storage and we will have to figure out what to do with them! (And our house is already full of stuff!
Very good suggestion Java.
it is an ongoing battle, Nef
We need to seriously pare down on our stuff and Aunty's
my desk is always cluttered
when I buy someething, I try to get rid of something as well
smart peri
that has always been my plan; but DH and dtr don't follow it. Aunty has 2 closets crammed full of her clothes here already and I can't get her interested in getting rid of any of them even though they are size 10 &12's and she' now finding a size 2 too baggy
an 6/18 pls
I even do it with books and I LOVE books. but I make sure and give them to people whom I know love to read as much as I do
when my bil's mom died last year her closet and drawers were filled with clothes thqt she had not worn in years
paperbackswap.com is a great way of getting rid of and getting new books.
not even by suggesting that they be given to charity? when does she plan on wearing them?
I have heard of them, Molly. thanks for reminding me of them.
She thinks she will regain her weight. I've told her repeatedly that (at her age -86) a person can't regain lost muscle mass and *healthy* weight
sounds like a losing battle, Nef
yeah. But I keep trying.... same with DH and dtr.
oh Nef, I totally sympathize, hubby has acquired "stuff" from both his Mom's and also sister's - all in boxes that some day will be sorted through
I told him I was going to die first - so I wouldn't get stuck dealing with it
and hi again - back for a bit while cake bakes
LOL! I LIKE that threat (all except the actual having to go through with that plan, that is!)
What kind of cake Flosey?
carrot cake
Sounds good. I haven't had carrot cake in years.
my favourite - but it's going to hubby's pot luck supper tomorrow (I'm not going)
an6/18: vegetable colot
ok made it to 150. list it is.
*color
you bake the cake and don't go to the supper?
thanks java2
lol, this is a thankyou supper honouring the volunteers who work at the Fall Fair - put on by the directors of Farmers Institute, hubby is one of the directors
Not getting the an6/18
ahh! So he has his "guys' night out" and you get a little break?
(Sorry, Boo; I'm monkeying to help you and haven't found it yet)
not all guys Nef, mixed - I volunteered for a few years, loved it, did the Information Tent, but can't take the long days on my feet, plus early morning dampness - hard on arthritis
((flosey)) I understand
any clues for the 2 x de6/21? Please?
oh ok. an 6 - an +vowel + double consonant + vowel + plural letter (sorry can't think of a more original clue)
de 6/21 == dislike
de+quiz
that of course is for an7 with the plural
de+canvas shelter
it is a hard one to clue LeslieAnn
thanks LA
Ty Leslie
thanks Nef and Bzz
yw
could someone give the stats for the 9 please?
re 9/45
re 9/45
thanks ruru
ir9/60

Sorry...
oops
that's wrong nef sorry

I'm sorry.. I thought the re was the 9 .. I forgot
thanks for the 8 also, ruru. I didn't have that one either
ke7?
most ke4
most ke4 LA
Flosey that is nice that they do something to thank their volunteers.
ohhh did not see "the most" ending, this should help with a few others. thanks.
keenest
thanks Molly, it's a great Fall Fair and everyone seems to really get into it and have fun while working
shoot sorry
I love to hear about places with a good sense of community. That seems to be fading away these days.
yes, it's too bad isn't it! we really need more community attitude - neighbour helps neighbour, etc
people tent to be too busy to bother with neighbors
tis alot different then when i was growing up
growing up, we did lots with neighbors. i rather miss that.
good afternoon, yall
yes we did also
hi seain
it was a nice relaxed sort of life
worked alright but somehow found time to have some fun
hello, flosey, sadie, molly, wild, et al
other parents are appalled that my sister does not program my nephew's summers full of stuff.
she lets them go play.
hi seain
i let mine play also and they developed a good imagination that way and good social skills with their friends
we had a great dead end street community when our kids were growing up - I loved the first day of school watching the kids go by, so happy to be back
we lived 2 houses from the bus stop.
yep flosey and the first day of vacation they were so happy to be out of school lol by end of summer they were tired of fun :)
i hated full summers off once we switched to a traditional school year. so borin.
i lived halfway up a steep hill going to school was a breeze coming home was not lol
I'll never forget our first day there - oldest son was 3 and another a little older, boy by put his arm around his shoulder and led him into the local sand community box (my son was a bit shy about crashing the new gang)
I love the summers off we had a neighborhood full of kids and we spent mornng til evening playing too
we got bused because of the hills :) to keep us from walking to end of street, down hill, across creek and up hill, which beat down the long hil, half up the next, down, up, up, up, up to the school on the streets.
Good for your sister Seain. Kids should be allowed to be kids.
awww thats sweet
very nice, flosey :)
I agree so much - where else do they learn give & take and all that stuff
oh seain, I could have run out and hugged that kid
thats the one thing i have against filling up all the childrens time with sports or whatever they have no time to just be kids
it seems we push push push them to learn more do more andno time for real fun
mine explore in the woods, play video games, do puzzles, the older one restores antique typewriters and sewing machines and rebuilds go-cart engines.
or5? not the natural or***
I agree Sadie.
mine found similar stuff to do and we also had woods they played in as i had when i was a child a stand of woods has endless things to amuse in it lol
hi again. We lived on a hill and both the grade school and then the high school were on hills; so we walked uphill both ways to and from the schools. My kids hated it when I made them walk the 2 (or the 8 blocks when they missed their buses in HS) flat blocks
also de7 after de***** than a doornail?
de7 -- good sight, as when shooting
Kids get driven everywhere these days Nef. Most of them don't even ride bikes anymore.
Clue for da8 please
not alive + vision device
ah thank you dc and ru
oh kids are real spoiled today getting rides every where we used to walk all over the place and had fun
someone who is upset past tense boo
da8 - pt of da6 before it - odd
past tense of da 6 - stuff on pets that makes people allergic
ty ruru
da8 -- needs head & shoulders shampoo :) usually associated with pets
lol, good one seain
or 5= o +re4 word LA
oh tyty for the clues hehe
thanks nef. now i only need that pesky 9...
I've never seen the ir 9 before
think I'm gonna take a walk.. bye guys.. have a great day
i am just going to put ir before all the 7s and hope for the best
oh yea back to the ir 9
ir9 -- think irradiation and teeth
Not getting the da 8
not a compound, and the ir is not a prefix
good evening all
I can't even think of how to clue it.... dc is doing his best
that is an odd word
Boo, I'm allergic to cat da---- +pt
ir9 - a region that is under the political jurisdiction of one nation but is related to another by reason of cultural, historical, and ethnic ties. sounds like Canada - and perhaps US as well
good evening all
hi sprite
Tibet to China is IR8

hi sprite! How are you today?
Got it ty

I love your icon ,Dc

i'll have to figure it out hold on dc
then quick supper and off to play bridge!
I agree Sadie

Sounds like pizza for dinner
bye flosey, have a nice evening
It's beautiful
ty,
funny name, dogwood
be well, flosey, hope bridge goes well
dr 5/16, after washing clothes, you use this machine
and after washing, you put clothes in the dr***, i think that's the three d's on the right
it is indeed, Sprite
yep; that's it
we no longer have a pizza outlet!! that was so handy, but closed for good, no idea what is going to happen there now
last night it did not take the clothes dr5, though it was degrading then.
thanks, LeslieAnn
.....2 more Ks.... Why can't the Ks ever be easy? Like Kiss, kisser, kissed, kissing....
Gc Leslie
do you have the most k?
the ke4 apparent?
haha i was thinking of you when doing k words sprite
the apple ko4?
apple ko** substitute k for c
nope, that was the missing one. Thank you. K dead.
:)
lol LeslieAnn, my brain dies when it sees a K in the grid.
Ke5 is past tense of ke4
quick question, if I may? hubby's rain jacket (100% polyvinyl chloride) says hand wash, is there any reason why it can't go in washer using cold water?
No ..
I think if you use a short program, it should work.
cold water, on the gentlest cycle, drip dry should be fine
ty Boobear, and Sprite, going to do it
Cold water doesn't hurt anything..
do you have a front loader or top loader? front loaders are more gentle and don't agitate
Yw
I can hand it outside, thanks everyone
front loader
tytyty
should be OK
:)
flosey, maybe put it in a hosery bag (or an old pillowcase would do too) so it won't get tangled; that should help protect it
I'd wash it with a couple of bath towels.
good advice indeed
hm. smelling like rain.
And I would not let it got through the spin cycle.
my front loader has a hand wash cycle. it's very gentle and you can choose the speed of the spin cycle - or have no spin. you might want to stop the spin
the hand wash cycle on our front loader does wonders on lots of delicate things, including on the spin
It's been raining here off an on all afternoon.
sunny and in the 60
I always enjoy the combined knowledge of us babblers.
*'s here
howdy folks
hi jes
love the icon, Molly
hiya jes!
brb
how's everyone?
fine here, and you?
Thanks Sprite. I am currently trying to steer clear of "all about me" people. They drain my life force.
pretty excellent. 3 day weekend, getting some serious slacking time in.
Good jes and you
very wise, Molly. I know the kind.
God knows you deserve it Jes. You are a hard working woman.
oh jes that sounds lovely
love your icon, molly :)
overcast, near 80F and now raining here :)
nice, dc. supposed to be high 90s and all sun here--too hot for me
sounds familiar
we've had a lot of 90-100 weather this year. so i'm enjoying the 80 til it gets warm again :)
39 words left...Guess I will go wrestle that 10 pound pork butt that has been resting...
we've got a frost warning to the north of me
brings a funny image to my mind, Bea :)
*contemplates going to bea's house for dinner...*
goodness, java, so early!
I can only imagine!
<---Can't comment on what Bea just posted. Will get banned from Babble.
oh, you're in WI, so that makes sense.
yeah, and it's only about 2 hours north...
It will probably be like wrestling a greased pig...
lollll Bea.... ok, the image is a movie now...
um...well, yes
here, we get first frost in late Oct to middle Nov avg is around 25th of Oct. Halloween is either 40 or 80, never know from year to year.
And it is not for dinner tonight. Going into the freezer for bbq sandwiches as a meal when we are at the beach in a couple of weeks.
(to the wrestling thing, that is)
that's about when we get first snow most years, dc
nice, bea :) good to plan ahead.
....cooling off after the wrestling... makes sense
we rarely get snow before Jan here
i thought white Xmases were a myth well into my 20s.
there are only 3 months in the year when we have never had snow
Okay...Here I go!*poof*
I like fall its cool colors are pretty
bye Bea!
Clue for da5/12
me too, sadie! Best season of the year. Good colours, good smells, good storms.
one who da4, or one who used to da4
or change last vowel
yep sprite
add consonants to the da4
or double the consonant after changing last vowel
like di*** meaning same for me, think the movie Ghost. But change first vowel.
clue please for the re 6/27 and 7/36 ??
re6/27: re* gravy
re 6/27 scarlet + what you see with
re 7/36 made not wet again
thanks LWG
yw sprite
thanks java and luv
yw sammys
yw
still did not and havent been able to monkey the re 7/36- it is on my "blind side" lol
re + past tense of making unwet
thanks sprite ... as i said i was blind to it-- have trouble changing direction-lol
babble blindness... very common to all babblers ;)
anybody know what the ry words are supposed to mean? dictionary doesn't know them...
jes, it is the Scottish variant of reach
thanks
yvw. Am always trying to learn something new too :)
why can i never see that ts word without prompting?
it shows up often enough
the only ts I ever see is the russian on
*one
ir9 clue?
it shows up often, but only in babble
ir+do again prefix+car accident+vowel
ir9/60 word is ir + color plus anagram of Hawthorne's nickname jesdraggon.
thanks guys :)
ir + again prefix + having your teeth seen to = *****L exam.
hi Minver :)

*Honks Harpo horn*
gee, I have 119 left........... not sure about finishing this puzzle.
in fact, not sure about fininshing any of them!! ::)
38 but slooow
hey, you are way ahead of me.........
Only if you think linearly.
I'm thinking binary.
dichotomously?
i have a one track mind.............. :(
unilateral.
i would say so.
I dont think there is a seperation in my brain........ it all grew together.
Bifocal.
Happy Labor Day!! Happy Day to All!!
make it trifocal..........
hello reparteena.
I had a really really dull dull day
happpy to you too.
Centrifugal.
tu
ya want me to spin??
ambidexterous?

Kap needs some pep pills
Is there a support group for that>

lol

I just didn't know what to do with myself- expected more of a spousy day
you are a great wordy player......... lots of puzzles online
That's bad if I have to do that all day...
what do more interesting people do?
true...........
well, hubby and I get in the truck, and take off as far as we can drive before it is time to eat.
<---Can't answer question. Not interesting.
we stop, eat, listen to the locals and then return home.
that's kinda what I wanted to do...but didn't happen
we don't know strangers...... we talk to anyone
or we hit the antique malls that are all open until 9pm
rarely buy, but have a great time looking and remembereing.
again, talking to the others that are looking too.
life is a hoot.

I do that sort of thing- but I kinda got spouse-ditched today
wow...slow day in the chatterbox!!

We are getting drenched now.
and cooler temps -- jeezomeez - 100 on Saturday and 60 today!
; )
Just working on the puzzle. Haven't had the pleasure of doing that in a while.
wow! enjoy it...
hey, gwenski :-)
Hello!
55 to go . . . back to the match for awhile -- byeee *poof*
Hursh, are you around?
Happy Labor Day to those who make it all work day after day!
Hi Gran Mere. Happy Labor Day to you too.
hi, all! we are back from our day at the arboretum :-)
Hi Sue
I love arboretums! There is one in Southern California near the Santa Anita Race Track that we have enjoyed for several of our generations.
I love masoleums...I"m dying to get there
Hi Ru
El Lurko strikes again!
Who was that masked man?
I just posted a bunch of pictures on Facebook of it. And hi, molly, gmere, and ruru!
"it" being the arboretum, and especially the prairie, which is where we spent most of our time.
Glad you had a nice time there Sue. Good day for something like that. We will all be shivering inside the house soon enough.
It was cool but sunny, and we were getting enough exercise to stay warm.
I won the in the match between me and the Boston pork butt!
umm, yay?
Thank God you posted that Bea. I wasn't going to sleep tonight not knowing. : P
That's why I posted, Molly. Knew you were dying to know!
Sue, Bea posted earlier that she had to go wrestle the resting pork butt and...well you know where minds went.
One beach meal down...
ah hah. That makes it all perfectly clear now.
I love the beach after Labor Day. Hope you have a good time.
As long as there are no storms coming through. I really wish all five of the kids and their SO's were coming. But it will only be two of them this year.
wonder if there is an active pork butt to be found?
probably the pigs have them, ruru
Not here. Mine is chopped and in the freezer.
we will have no swine before its time?
I would make a plumber joke, but don't want to offend any lurking plumbers.
gosh Molly If I had to worry about offending someone.. I"d never say anything...lol
Se6/24! Really?
I know Bea, seriously. What dickshunary did that come from?
yeah.. I wondered about that one too bzz
an obsolete one, presumably; wouldn't be the first obsolete word that Enable accepts
And it won't allow the unobsolete ones.
Enable needs to update.
ya think :-P
se6/24 is a nautical term, usually spelt with a c inserted after the s
Hi all!
Oh, Sue...that is a favorite saying of a dear friend of mine from home. I miss her so.
hi, Jilli!
and Bea, I am sorry - did not mean to remind you of your friend :-(
And then there is that dear friend that says everything is "Peachy Queen" and "Not the sharpest bulb in the drawer."
my mother used to say her arthuritis used to bother her
Not a problem, Sue. I think of them all the time.
I am told that there is a London broil resting in my kitchen now.
Hi ruru -- I see your neighbours are from Pandora
Guess it is time for dinner...*poof*
bye bea
pandora?
I got just over halfway last night and that's enough for me. Just dropped in to see if soodle's here yet -- has she been?
She was here yesterday, before she went out to celebrate.
I guess you didn't see the Avatar movie and the blue Na'vi people, ruru?
nope... ya got me on that one jilli
The Na'vis live on the planet Pandora, part of the Alpha Centauri system.
Lovely movie.
Thanks, Molly. Sorry I missed her.
*Needed to refresh. Couldn't figure out what PeeWee had to do with Pandora*
clue for that se 6/24 pls
past tense of not to receive
An se6/24 word is past tense of the se4/5 word Jeff7
had that one....must be dialectal
se6/24 usually starts sc and: "As a noun, it is the surge of a wave or the sea; as a verb, it means to pitch or surge up in a heavy sea."
And now I'm goping to go outside and enjoy a lovely summery afternoon for a bit. See you well after the flip -- bridge night.
*going
Jeff, it's a nautical term.
It's a nautical term with the C in it, not the way it is here.
I guess I'm talking to myself. Bye!
sorry, had to straighten out a credit card payment :-P
oh - I have nbt :-)
but not nbs, that may come later
I'm not sorry about that Sue, so don't you be. : )
evening all
Hi Glant
i need a C for NBT and a 9 for NBS
Hi, glant!
Hello Glantarell! How are you doing? Welcome to grid.
cy5/18
Hi Molly, Sue, Minver
and I don't have an 8 or a 9 so can't help with that
and hi, min!
ir 9/60
cy 5/18 word sounds like Apple Cy*** uusue2 and hello
i hve 2 8s
TY Minver - NBT
yw
both 8s are T - following on form te6 - not tough
haven't found the other two 8s yet
thx, glant! now nbs (although I needed morewords for the ir9 since the only one I could think of was irradiate)
irradiate ios very close to the 9 which i have jusgt found
scuse the typing
not close enough for my monkeys, unfortunately
mine neither - morewords for me too
and by the way, monkey is my phantom for this grid
It's kind of a mix of ****verance and ****l health (keeping your teeth healthy)
i see many welsh words in this grid - probably because dd is a common consonant in welsh
<-- needs to learn Welsh
<--- Would have to learn sign language if she moved to Wales.
however, at over half way i think i am going to call it a day soon as it's after midnight and I have work in the morning
Night Glant
Molly - almost evefrybody in Wales also speaks English
Hooray! Then I can come visit for Welsh Cakes.
Any time, Molly - and bara brith - a kind of fruit loaf which is yummy - name means 'speckled bread'
Sounds good Glant.
pizza just arrived (although it is really for my son and friend)
but I snitched a small piece :-)
howdy again everyone:) da hwyr at pawb.

so seriously..who the heck turned off the friggin heat?????
howdy min!
gaelic as it were
a total mystery now for the most part
hi, carlee! It has turned much cooler here too, which meant we got to hike around the prairie in the arboretum without frying (pix on facebook)
i lost my welsh when we moved to england when i was 8 and when i was in m 20s i wrote down all the words i could remember - turned out to be just over 100 - but they were almost all nouns
( i saw..they are lovely )
( carlee in fleece pants... long sleeved shirt...sweat shirt... wool socks.... fizzy slippers...under a blanket...)
used to hear casha a lot as a child but i thing that was my fault
( is thinking of putting the hood up on sweatshirt to keep in the heat
our he has been turned down too - and I think we are getting the remains of irene as it's very wet and windy
cacha*
heat even
casha/
this i think is remains of lee
i dont know
Lee is still in the Gulf Carlee.
were there a J & K which I missed?
might be unrelated as it is not windy here at all (and if lee were coming your way it would have to go through us first)
Don't know about J, Glant. Katia is still out at sea.
is it..i just know when i looked at the radar..the rain and crap started at the gulf..and was all way up to here
we have a rainy and cooler day here
cooler???? cooler????
bout 15c carlee

night night glan
night, glant!
Goodbye Glantarell! I will see you tomorrow in the log.
back when I used to run, this would be really good running weather (in fact a little cooler would be better)
May I please have a clue for dr5-16? Thanks
crossy loves the fall, crisp nights and a touch of frost on top of the hills at dawn.i take the wife to the top of the mtn and the trees are blazing with fall colours ,my beloved has roses in her cheeks and is wearing on of those big cowl neck sweaters i bought here as we kick the leaves around and be the first to spot deer or wild turkeys are they begin to move around, then home around 10 am for a ginormous brekkies:)
first de 6,21 please
That sounds really sweet, crossy.
best of times
It's got to get a lot colder than 40F for me to be chilly.
de 6/21 word is de plus te 4/4 word witchy and hello!

The Eagles, eh, crossy?
yuppers
Hi tceicher! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid.
Saw them in concert in CT....better than ever....they've added a brass section.
as lon g as i do noit have to hear "desperado" i like them
Don't care for desperado? I have to say I like all of their songs....they were on stage for 4 hours.
LOVE the Eagles. (including Desperado). They are fabulou sin concert... SO glad I've had the opportunity to see them - they are one of those bans I NEVER miss when they come around.
Hello CadFan!How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
hi, cad!
I check their tour schedule frequently.....if they come close, I will crawl if I have to.
anyone here know where4 I can get beeswax sheets. I want to make some candles.
Might check online, peri.
and hello all
Sounds like a fun thing to do.
hi, peri!
do a search for wholesale beeswax sheets
and hi, peach, I think I missed seeing you come in.
I have been, gap. most sell already made candles or only sell the sheets in packs of one color only
Hi periwinkle! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
That's OK, sue. How are things with you today?
I'm well - tired after a long weekend - traveled to two football games - one in Amarillo and one in Albquerque - Nive to see everyone.. down to 91 - been in an out all day - just haven't been chatting
I will keep looking. I went to Michaels yesterday and they just had blocks of beeswax. I made lots of candles back in the 70's :)
Hobby Lobby?
never hear of that, Bzz
Must not be in your area.
we Have Michaels, AC Moore and JoAnn Fabrics and Crafts
Hi BzznBea! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid.
Not sure about JoAnn's. Mostly fabric and scrapebooking things there, but I've never looked for beeswax.
Hi, Min. Doing well, thanks. And you?
Any one seen Soodle? Thanks
Saw her this morning, peach.
Thanks, BzznBea
brb
Crossy - I know lots of people that don't like Desperado.. never could figure out why - but to each his own!
Peri, have you looked for sheets of beeswax on line?
yes, Molly
I am checking prices. would like to get more than one colore but they only come in packs of one color
Cad, Desperado is a great song. Hotel California is the one I burned out on.
Knorr Beeswax has them so you can pick your colors.
have not treid them, ty Molly, will check after I finish this grid. just wondered if anyone had experience with any of the companies
Peri, will the wax colors mix when melted? You can get primary colors and then make the colors you want.
with the sheeets you just roll the wax around the wick. no melting
very easy and they are pretty. will only use cootton wicks too. was also thinking of making soy cancles. there the wax would melt
cotton even
Seems like it takes all the fun out of candle making. =)
if I lived alone I would make my own candles by melting the wax. as I said, did a lot of that years ago. but this is not my house and nor sure of the others would be happy about it :(
and the stove is electric which I find most annoying to cook on
wow, i am down to 51 and they all come off of the bottom s and the t above it!
hi
hi all
H
clue for the ta5?

Good evening all.
hi wht
Good evening to you, wht.
hi cad... hi peach
and hi bea
Hi there, carlee.
Hello all newcomers.
Bea, the ta5 is one of the senses.
TY, Molly.
<---- is thinking of mulling some wine
Mull that over, carlee
O yum Carlee. I am thinking of making an impossible pie tonight
its friggin FREEZINg here...
Sounds good, Carlee. I've rested meat all day.
i want...warm....
IT just turned horrid hear
here even
i REFUSE to turn on the heat
i ne4 to get my hands on firewood
I have had the heater off for 2 days
hi again, all, was ordering ink for my printer.
Well actually 4 days
printers are really just a way to keep us buying ink, I think
i dont have orange to pt in the mulled wine <sigh>
i have peaches
Hello uusue2! How are you? Welcome back to the grid
but i dont think that will work
<---- carlee is in LOVE with her new printer
Printer ink is horridly expensive
HI Mini
two new cartridges cost more than the printer did
Hello herinfernallady! How are you?It has been awhile.
( i made sure my cartridges are cheap....15.00/ a piece )
I am good
and i get 25% off ink cartridges for a year
My toaster is holding my coffee hostage
I was supposed to get 10% off but apparently the coupon expired, so I bought them from Amazon
Hello...
hi jells
hi, jellen!
Hello Jellen! How are you doing? Welcome back to grid
Hi Jellen
wow it has gotten dark here
hi, herin!
it is getting dark here too but that is because the sun is starting to set...
Hi. I have been here waiting for my breakfast
I am taking a break from reading...my eyeballs and brain are spinning...
its been dark here all day
It was gorgeous here today, but I didn't get out...
It is dark here because of a cool change which turned up early. If it wasn't for my cat running about like she had a rocket up her butt the moment the change hit I would still be asleep
lol, herin!
Here is something that will make your eyeballs&brain spin even more Jellen!
Here is a story of clues for today's da4/5: September 5, 2011.Da4/5 from our te4/4 scores shows that the students te 6/21 very poorly last year. They er 5/12 in many ways. My Principal was very ir4/5 by the low te4/4 scores. I dr 5/14 all of the te 4/4 prep I'll have to do with my students. I am not ke 4/8 on teaching to the te 4/4. I de 6/21 doing that! I believe it is not the ke 7/44 idea to do that. Te4/4 prep is so dr 4/5! It drives me insa4/4! My district seems to think that if they or5/12 the right te 4/4 prep books, students will pass the exams. The superintendant doesn't care if a student knows how to re 4/5 or not, he wants all students to score a 3 or a 4 on the exams. He doesn't realize how many non-re6/21 we have in the district We do an over abundance of te4/4 prep to get these students re 5/16 for the state exams. In fact, we do so much that by the time students take state exams they are so nervous, that they can't do it with ea4/4 My students are very ne5/16 children and they have alot of personal issues that hinder their education. It sa 6/24s me that administrators care more about te 4/4 scores than what students might be dealing with at home. Some of my students don't care about doing well on the te4/4, they just want some te6/21 loving care, which they don't get at home. I wonder if they do as much te 4/4 prep on the west coast as they do here on the ea4/4 coast. In New York, students take the state te 4/4s every year during the Spring after Ea4/4. Now my story has en 5/14. I ne 4/5 to go eat some dinner.I haven't ea5/10 dinner yet,so I'm going to get out of this se 4/4, st 5/12 up, and go to an ea 6/24 and be an ea5/10.Hope I can ta5/10 a big juicy steak. I'll be back later or I might watch TV inst5/12.
I thought we had a cat intruder on the lawn the way she bolted into the bedroom. I have toddler cats. Pandora is on 'Lucius's pillow'' and he is all pissed off
Jellen are you reading for fun, or for work?
hi, Min - I love your stories - don't even need it for the clues (I finished earlier) but this one makes me stand up and cheer for you and your students - never lose sight of what's important

HI Blue

I am glad the surgery went well. Good excuse to stay home and babble while you recover from your surgery
With all this info on September 11 on my tv I get chills that it has been ten years since I got my own personal freedom
you are so right mini:)

t do you mean herin?
ir 9/60:ir plus color plus anagram of Mr. Hawthorne's nickname wht.

(((Herin))) glad you are not in that place anymore.

Me too. If it wasn't for great friends that helped in the last 3 months (I couched surfed) I probably wouldn't have grown a spine

oh well, mrp, after the move is over you will be happy, yes?
the only good thing about moving is decluttering. i should move more often! lol...no way!
We have been culling so much crap in case we have to move. Rent here is just insane. AND we can't buy unless we get a 100% loan in the sticks
yes and yes... there are some lovely homes around, but need to be prepared to jump on what we want when it comes up
spoke to the owner of the house yesterday... she wants us to buy the house.
from the sounds of your profile a gated community would be a good idea
we don't have those here dawg
okay, how about a really deep moat?
The house you aer living in now?
that I can do!
if the kids were not so settled in school, I would move to the country
yes, this house
We do have ''gated comunities' here more like special little enclaves
But you don't like the neighbourhood yes?
don't like the neighbours
moat and gun turrets! we'll get you that extra protection one way or another
Hoard of angry bees?
i haven't seen gated communities in sydney
naw, nature is hard to control.
The are more like exclusive residencies but they all have problems
yeah, through the mail slot of the Prick's door
lol, oooh now would that be a lovely pressie!
