neil, there are times I see him for maybe 20 minutes in 24 hours.... the rest of the time he is looking after the house/kids/finances etc... then, there are times when he is in 'i don't give a F' mode and that doesn't suit our family at all. I have an autistic child too... there are so so many factors that can't be 'overlooked'. I understand how overwhelming it can become, but it has to be done.

my son is autistic and needs advice that I just find so difficult to help with... my daughter is beautiful and incredibly intelligent and knows what is right and wrong in a relationship (afterall, she has seen lickety and I in action for 13 years, and seen how we fix our issues and still love eachother)

I don't worry about my daughter so much... but I do worry about my son. He keeps everything inside. He is judgmental and a tragic romantic, but can't express it (the romantic side) to save his life. He keeps to himself... Maddison is so outspoken and gorgeous and intelligently wild! I am suffering with the both of them. Amazing how fast they are growing
he also has some motor skill delays but comensates well

we got the motor skills delay worked out with Luke by putting him into gymnastics for 3 years... he gave it away this year, but is begging to go back next year!! am so so surprised!

best thing we can do is guide them safely out there in the big bad world and let them experience all aspects of life and then when we least expect it,they will latch onto something that is a passion and go to it like a lodestone..yes after much fighting he has laptop privilages in class
my daughter's boyfriend has that issue and can only use a computer to write with. he cannot 'write'.... literally
he has authority to use a computer in all his classes, rather than write

my son writes at grade 2 level,is horrible in math,but did we ever get a surprise when we saw a 94 percent grade in auto shop on his report card.his teachers immediatly advised us to place him in advanced classes for it this year and in this second semester he will have the entire afternoon to go into town and sample the work environment at auto shops etc! stunned the heck out of us.so if he needs a laptop to write..that is fine
my son is absolutely amazing! he is all that and a packet of biscuits!! HOWEVER, he has difficulties that need our help and he seeks our help (thank God) and we do what we can

I have 2 cousins who worked in the probation and parole systems and they both are very hardened cynical people now (even though they are out of that field. They both advised us that it isn't a place that you can change a person: the system changes them instead

My hair has gotten darker as I got older; but now there are areas in front where it's just starting to turn a bit grey --I told my stylist it looks kind of misty or foggy (my hair is very fine; so it doesn't seem as obvious as some peoples). I took the plane and landed at Mudgee for a test flight... actually I woke up before I landed, so don't know how the landing went - then was having flashes of news saying 3 people died in plane crash in Sydney. I think I would have rather been awake
When we went to Singapore last year, I hadn't slept for 24 hours by the time we reached our hotel after flying there from LAX. Think I was tired? Oh man. Then we get there and would you believe... there was a Formula One car race going on all around the hotel... ALL NIGHT LONG?! WTF? Seriously. I shot a video of myself complaning about it... took the camera out on my balcony to show everyone and posted it on my YouTube channel. Figured my family and friends wouldn't believe me otherwise!
Needless to say I was NOT HAPPY. All I wanted to do was SLEEP... and couldn't.
