Something that other people have mentioned, Mr P, is a great idea; find a professional to listen to you. The babble chog is great, but you probably need some one-on-one time qith someone who will just listen.

mrp, I think you need a real, live, big hug. A little while ago I was a a funeral and had a meltdown afterwards, hiding in a corner. Somehow a local counsellor saw me and quietly came over and took me in her arms, where I sobbed. Not a word, just comfort. It was wonderful.

i got an e-mail from the mastiff rescue people, they want to schedule a home visit. Can't bring home a new dog until the others pass, but we are getting close. The pic in my profile is about 6 years old, i think?
I'm okay. Experiencing a lot of loss and hopefully growing from it. Deciding to pursue my passions without apology. Things aren't always good, but they are always completely real.
I have a 14 year old, and 13 year old, both large dogs, their life expectancy was 9 or so. Bear is really getting old, I imagine he's about 110 or so.

I've been doing some canine hospice stuff. My last adoptees were 16, 12 and 14 (and now 12). Brain cancer, leg amputee, jaw amputee. I love this stuff. My tripawd is a lab/mastiff mix.

I'm so proud of you, Soodle, for losing weight. I know it isn't easy. I need to lose about 30 pounds....having to stay in the wheelchair makes losing weight almost impossible. Damned doctor won't order more physical therapy for me....I need to be back on my crutches.....will have to ask another doctor. That's all of the complaining. It is abeautiful day and I'm fortunate to be alive.

Yes, Stidmama, I've been in a wheelchair off and on after 2 strokes in '02...had polio in rt. leg when I was 2 years old....went with my life, very active until the strokes in 02. Vertigo is mostly the problem there are days I drive and days when I won't....don't want to take the chance of hurting someone or myself. All things considered, I'm OK.
oh peach, I didn't know. I am glad it's not life-threatening, but how frustrating to be sidelined -- sometimes when my hip is bad I've needed a wheelchair.
