ruby - since i had not been using tamoxifen, i was put directly on femara as an experiment. it does not mean it will extend my life and i go for an mri this month to make sure there are no new cancer growths.
they put me on tamoxifen, as I was 47 when I had the cancer, stage 2A, and they wanted to put me directly into menopause. Unfortunately, for the period I was on it, it took away my short-term memory and my ability to spell. Fortunately, both came back after I stopped taking it.

femara is much like tamoxifen - puts you in early menopause, although you can still become preggers - lost my widow's peak, and i lose a lot of hair on a daily basis, losing weight, and live on popcicles and crackers - drink ensure for the vitamins - still life is fun

Afraid I agree, mab. Racism is a big part of the problems with him getting anything done, despite so many foks' claims it's not. After 8 years of what preceded him, there's no way he could recover in 4, let alone 2-3 years. Everyone seems to overlook that. And the former prez had how many years of gov't experience, and look at the mess he left. If the presidency were a case of just doing what he wanted to do, carte blanche, I think things would be different. But that's not how this political system works.
