I also object to folks making blanket statements that there are "rules" to adhere to here, I think that's not really so. We are all just mostly well-behaved, which is one thing I like about Babbleland, and so no actual rules are usually necessary.

oh, it's the whole thing with the sacred first hour, too, I was partly thinking of that when I spoke of rules - how some act as though it's set in stone. while I do think it's a nice policy, it's fallen in the ditch lately, and not much can be done to redeem it. it's a constantly changing landscape around here, rules would be futile.
I've been here since close to the beginning - there are always a few ruffled feathers
better to reminisce about favorite policies, than to loudly insist we all stick to them.

and then the two groups argued over if the trolls should be ignored or not LOL

well, everyone got spoiled with the clues list popping up quickly after flip, and now we're having to go without sometimes, which I don't mind at all. More of a challenge, and the group always rallies and works together, fun to watch.

as an "old timer" I would like to thank MRP for the clues - you can dip in if you want Just close down the chat if you don't want clues what is the problem ? Finally we have had a lot more laughs than tears in the last few years so thanks for that :)

Then let it guide you through the SYSTEM RESTORE and choose a previous date to restore your system to. Hope that helped.

Once I picked start point I clicked on "next" and nothing happened. I believe my virus is stopping it from working.
Min, have you defragmented your computer and cleaned out all the cookies and book marks? Usually if it will not let you "system restore" it means you have some problem with your computer.

if you've got your files backed up, min, why not try a full restore back to factory defaults?
(instead of up to a certain point in time)
I think it is 2 or 3 years old.But it is a work computer and connected to the system at work. Use it at home though so it isn't connected to the system at work so antivirus software does not work as well at my housel

The entire Gulf Coast is good for fishing of all types. But of course we have the hurricane threat to worry about. You can get land pretty reasonable if you move inland

Miss Gulf Coast is good because we have within a 100 mile radius: New Orleans for fun, Pensacola for aviation buffs, Mobile for battleship lovers.....seafood, cajun food, fishing and hunting

anyway the vast, vast majority of us do act like sensible adults, at least around here (well, except occasionally when we get a bit silly), and seem to be able to deal with each other as such. Which is quite refreshing.
I think if a racial slur appeared, we'd all clamor at once, ask if the person were a troll, and write dr god. Slurs of any kind are not even remotely tolerated.
Again, this is all just me. I understood why someone found the anti-Obama icon inappropriate. And I am not an Obama fan. There are things that just don't belong here. And comments in chat about ignoring people that don't belong either. It makes it a much less friendly place.
