I have my fave stores... and mostly stick to the produce and seafood sections, but do get annoyed on busy shopping days like Saturdays when people are pushing those oversized carts around and leaving them in places it blocks the flow
DH loves grocery shopping but I hate it. He hasn't been able to do it lately; so I'm actully toying with the idea of grocery shopping online. Has anyone done that (ordering online and having it delivered)?

i love to cook, and cooking starts with selecting the groceries... so I love to grocery shop. It is all just the fun part of what will be created next
It costs more than going yourself (naturally); but I wonder about the fresh fruits and veggies: are they as fussy as we are about picking the freshest ones?
The only problem is when you order a particular make of wine in red and they dont have it and they send the same make but in white!

and I am nutty enough to spread it over 3 sites - the farmers' market, central market, and whole foods, with the occasional butcher shop, cheese store, or bakery... it is like christmas
I use the service from the store I like to shop in so I know the qulity etc is good

I live 16 miles from my favourite store so to factor in the time and price of fuel here (£1.50 a litre) it makes it cheaper and better for me to shop online

must be nice to have your favo shop deliver online. We dont' have that here. Just the one online service.

best would be walking distance to small nearby shops that carry exactly what you want. I have stayed in paris in a friend's apt and there is a produce stand, butcher, rotisserie place, bakery, wine shop, cheese shop, fishmonger, all within a couple blocks... and even a larger grocer (for europe) just 6 easy walking blocks away. that was heaven... buy what you need for 1-2 days, always fresh, always good

Well I am lucky in that respect - I grow most of my own veggies and some fruit and work a bartering system with neighbours. I keep ducks and chickens for eggs and meat, I bake my own bread and give the local farmer stuff in exchange for pork and lamb. Best friends hubby is a fly fisherman......

We plan to move closer to our son within the next year so we will be able to help more when needed. The kids live 35 miles away across the city; but with road construction this week; I made 3 trips down there and back and averaged round trips of 80 miles (city driving) each day.

all done sprite:)) crossy brunch is served... today is a omelette,a nice 3 egg one,with diced sweet valencia onions,and sweet peppers and mushroom.i cook it pancake style in a nice not pan with a pat of creamery butter till golden brown then shred some quebec apple wood smoked cheddar on top thena couple sliced of lean peameal bacon..and some of my famous mini potato pancakes all fried crispy with a small dish of chilled apple sauce for dipping.today instead of toast,i think it shall be flaky hot croussants fresh out of the oven.to wash it all down you can have fresh orange juice or a steaming pot of my ceylon orange pekoe tea

my godfather live up north in a small town,used to be all outhouses and septic tanks.about 20 years ago the town got all modern and put town sewer and water in,then promptly banned all outhouses and storage type septic tanks..it cost him 40,000 dollars to blast through bedrock to run the new house water and sewer main to the nearest street for town hook up:(

It was so funny to see that big dog being so submissive to our tiny dog!

This all happened before a planned trip out of the country.Parents were so sad, they wanted to cancel the trip, but couldn't since the trip was paid for already

Tootsie was really smart and very sweet; but if you were a dog you definitely had to follow her directions! Our present dog was also a rescue and shiz-poo; had been left alone too much and was peeing and pooping in the house and all sorts of bad behaviors. Tootsie saw him pee on the floor once; whatever she barked or told him; he's never done it again!

He always po 6/21 out that he is overqualified for his job. I find his tantrums over his job to be very tr5/10.One day I made it a po5/12 to tell my husband that he better not quit. Well Nef, I have discovered a few problems...the rick manager has been updating our surveillance, and she is not doing it correctly, but I started fixing it, and I seem to have discovered some other issues...but for the most part they incinerated her paper notebooks, we have an electronic surveillance program...its neat.

My hip is doing well. the job was sort of a surprise. we had the bad IP person, then a brillant one for about 4 weeks, when she got into an argument with a doctor, bust out into tears and quit on the spot....so they decided to hire someone from within who knew the culture....even if I am not brillant and untrained!

Did the doctors suggest that you tilt the bed 6 inches? They did that for me several years ago....really helped. I learned to sleep and crawl back up in the bed at the same time.
