we have a town in NSW that has an annual Elvii Festival - 15,000 attended a couple of years ago
very nice:) though i can tell you after 15 years of it,many of us would gladly let another place have the honour
if you are in the hotel or food business or bars,you do well but everyone else starves for a week as the town is held hostage by fat men in white jumpsuits dripping black hair dye all over the place

hi, all! We have a step-nephew who has done Elvis impersonating for years, he's something else. Last time I saw him do his thing, he was hours late getting started, being a primadonna about this and that - you'd think he was the real thing.
funny par is we are a town of 22,000 and it is situated in a arch almost with blue mountain to the west of town and the curve of georgian bay going from west to south then east in a long curve so the town sits in the south-west corner.now this is very pretty but the mountain now also acts as a sound refraction unit and when 500 elvii start up first thing saturday morning with a strirring rendition of "jailhouse rock" every single person in every home in town can feel theri bones vibrate with this catchy tune lol

Sometimes I make my students at5/10 for their er6/18 behavior by keeping them in at recess and jo 4/9ing me to do some extra work.If they refuse to come I go get them and ma 5/16 them in 4/4 my room. Depending on the age, I do different things with them at recess. Sometimes I make them write a paragraph on why it is important to follow school rules on a piece of ch5/14 paper. For older kids, I make them study their math fa 7/44. Sometimes I will have them look up fa5/18 about a topic and take notes Sometimes,I'll have the kids straighten up my classroom to make it look ne 4/4er. I believe th4/5 there is no ha 4/6 in having the kids do a little extra work.When I was talking to one little girl named Ma5/12, she was ne 4/4 to having tears. I felt bad so I let her go to recess.Some students think I am mean, but I do not give one io4/4. I would rather have the students believe I'm mean th 4/5 not hold them responsible for their behavior.Husband is about to st4/4 up trouble and ra4/4 and rave about my computer usage. I am going to get off my re4/4 and I'm going to go watch the ac5/12 Ma4/5 Damon in the film "The Bourne Identity".If I am not too ti4/4d, I will come back in 4/4 the ch 4/6 log later tonite. ok so here it is...I fell in my driveway on slippery leaves on friday...fell pretty hard on my right side...my right arm is killing me..I dont think anything is broken but I cant lift my arm. Yesterday was absolutely miserable. Today I an move it to the side about 2 inches but cant lift it.....I have been icing every 4 hours and taking either ibufrofen or Aleve....I will go to Doctor tomorrow if not better than today..any suggestions?

I fell hard on my right side...took the brunt of hit on my right arm
and this is Sunday, so it's 48 hrs after injury, right?

but may have jammed my shoulder and severely bruised my arem

I can move my arm out about 2 inches today...couldnt do that yesterday
back of my right arm halfway between my shoulder and elbow and some tenderness in front between my should and breast
back of my arm is the worst....I can not lift it at all but can now go to the side a bit
you need to ice it the first 48 hours (to prevent as much swelling as possible), after that you should use heat (to get the blood flow to increase in the area) BUT if you've been taking ibuprofen that much; I'm not so sure.
with this latest icing I can actually move it about 6 inches sideways but still not up...just took the ice pack off
I have been icing since yesterday, maybe I now need to start heat?
the NSAIDS (aspirin, Ibuprofen, aleve, etc) can slow the clotting time of blood; how much bruising do you have?
and how much swelling?
what did you fall on?
(flat ground/cement, or rocky drive way or soft ground?
I dont bruise or swell up easily...nothing is showing...it is all internal

oh ya....I fell that night and felt nothing....came in house, played on computer, went to bed and when I got up I was in agony...took aspirin first as that was handly....came downstairs had got some ice, then later in the day took ibupofen, started the aleve today because I ran out of the other but have been icing about 4 times a day
I have been sitting on the couch reading with my arm up on a pillow so yes
so no chores done...my husband will be crazy about that...just one more pressure
medical people often say you should RICE limb injuries: Rest, Immobilize, Compress, and Elevate
River, if he's so all fired crazy about that, he can do the chores. : P
oh, just tell him to put a cork in it! Or you put some ear plugs in;

You didn't answer if you can put your finger on one specific spot where the pain is; so I'm going to assume this may be mostly soft-tissue injury. But that includes tendons, muscles, rotator cuff, etc. Right now your main focus should be to take car eof yourself

My daughter broke her humerus (on my B'day!) when she was 9; my Aunt had a rotator cuff injury, a neighbor kid broke his collar bone in the neighbor's front yard a few years ago; etc. The collar bone injury caused a visible deformity, the other 2 did not. None were able to lift their arms....

Well, I've checked on the bed situation again - he's on his own side now but has taken the duvet with him. I've been in, yanked the duvet back to equal sides again
I've heard his alarm go off once. It will go off 3 more times before he gets up. Once I've said hello and 'bye 'bye (he's off trucking for the week again), Ill wait for my side of the bed to cool down/dry off and go for 8 hours' zzzzing.
As a writer, I don't have to keep the hours 'regular' folks do, but I do still need my sleep and I do still need time to myself to write. I can write at night but prefer to do it in the day, if possible.
If that sounded 'unloving' it's giving the wrong impression about our relationship. Anyway, does anyone need a Babble clue before I go?
Actually, I'll get about 6 hours' sleep, since I rarely sleep beyond 11am, unless alcohol has been involved the night before.
