very profound Christine
indeed you are ruru
truth be told I was going to stop with 'ladies' until I noticed you and mitch
I don't know, Christine -- the surgeon seemed to indicate that at present it has no sweat glands so it's dry -- I assume they will regenerate eventually. There's a bit of a ridge around part of the edge, which I am to massage and I hope it will go away. Unfortunately one of the lumpier places is just where my glasses perch -- a bit uncomfortable!
hi west
fireworks - few weird ones in there
hi jilli..perhaps you can put a moleskin there
Super Mitch !!
excellent job, mitch!

I'm wondering if you still love your new house
it sounds so perfect
yes, but seems a bit huge at times lol
will the kids be home for Christmas?
got it
no, our daughter is on call; they came for Thanksgiving, and it was wonderful. We may actually just spend our 1st Christmas here.
sounds nice and relaxing
just wait until the 8 grandchildren show up
at first I was bummed, then I remembered how nice some of our earlier Christmases have been :)
lol
I was thinking about our earlier Christmases too..no money..we even made our own ornaments
ditto that... I painted wood ones (I found a few when we moved)...
the gang will be here on the 23rd
how fun!
all I have to do is finish decorating and wrap presents and finish shopping and ...
I love it all
I am almost finished with all that ... can't believe I am that far ahead... big shocker.

good night gentlemen !!
hello, is anybdy still here?
I'm here. Hi ruby
(I guess not lol)
{{estford}}, happy to see you
just chipping away
Hi - just came back :)
and I am very happy to see you too
hi lizlin
((ruby))
hi again liz
Hey Ruby - I hope you're looking forward to your London trip next week even with your concerns.
so happy for you ruby
we had such an annoying argument last night, that I actually yelled at him and he remains chastened. Now, I am leaving for my holiday (in a week) without any guilt!
a much needed holiday
I NEVER express anger, usually just slink away and internalize; this time I didn't
You deserve it and I'm sure somewhere deep inside him he knows it, even if he can't express it :)
and I'll bet you will be missed
all good! and now I'm smiling again
what's happening in London ruby..going to visit the Queen?
special invitation lol. My nephew's wife is having her 50th birthday party and since she had a cancer scare this past year, it is a very important party
we have a very small family and her husband is my only nephew and my sister can't attend
very nice
It'll be a wonderful trip
and I'm staying in a "boutique" hotel in Notting Hill, the same place the party is taking place
nice area..I remember it from the movie
Nice - very cosmopolitan!
I plan on eating sushi whenever I'm alone and sleeping a lot
maybe you'll see Hugh Grant
no responsibilities
I even sent the gift in advance so that I wouldn't have to carry it
oh won't that be a treat
Don't take any on!
aand my nephew's 3 sons will be there plus many of their friends who I know from previous visits
I'll be the oldest person there
I bet they'll treat you like a queen
Hope the weathers kind to you
as long as it doesn't snow here, I don't care about the London weather
somehow I see ruby dancing in the rain
They'll spoil you rotten, I hope. They know what you went through to get there.
the problem with snow is that Geneva airport is 35 inutes away and a girlfriend is driving me and picking me up after
hopefully, I'll dance at the party; I did last time
I didn't realize you were that close to Geneva
Just allow loads of time. Have you looked at a long range forecast?
yes, Geneva city is 50 minutes, but the airport is closer since they opened a new autoroute
my friend is a good driver and is a native, so is undaunted by snow
I've ordered a wheelchair for the airports, as the amount of walking needed is beyond me
that's a plus
I'm sure that the whole area is geared up to dealing with snow
agog
sorry
had that lol
Ty
ruby how long will you be gone?
leaving early Fri morning, coming back in time for dinner monday -- not very long but long enough
that's just right
when I worked, I used to fly around at least once a month, but now I'm old and a homebody
and husband is a VERY OLD homebody
That makes an occasional trip very special
I just don't care to fly any more..used to be fun
I think it's been 1 1/2 yrs since I went away
I feel the same way, westford. I was never afraid before 9/11
About time
it's not even that..just being packed in and dealing with the rudeness
fortunately, it's a very short flight
except Miami..I swear the nicest people run that airport
and incredibly cheap on easyJet
the bad news is that the airport is very far from London proper; the ride into town is longer (much) than the flight
are you flying into Heathrow?
4 years since I last heard of easy jet. Flies into Luton, I think?
Stansted going and Luton coming back
I've used it before and it's horrible but less than half the price of any other carrier and the times are very convenient
They're both great little airports even if a fair way from Nottingham hill
luton is not that far about 30 mins from london
Self correction!
years ago we stayed by Trafalgar Square and flew out of Heathrow but had the best cab driver..he was like a tour guide
Depends what the m1 or m25 are like
Depends what the m1 or m25 are like ,
I don't care; my schedule is loose enough so there'll be no pressure
the magic roundabout?
if I'm able, I'll use either a train or bus from the airport of Baker St and take a cab to hotel from there.
If I'm too tired, I'll take a cab all the way from the airport
I'm sure ill catch you before you go but in case I don't, have a good trip. Bbl
bye liz
thank you lizlin. I'm sure I'll be playing up 'til the last minute and will probably play with one of my nephew's sons from their house, as I did last time.
{{liz}}
ruby you are going to have the best time
everything ship shape at home?
this week, everything broke: TV, computer connection, front gate, but I got everything fixed
isn't that always the way?
better this week than when I'm gone as husband can't cope or talk on the phone in French
will your housekeeper be on hand?
she'll be here Fri and Monday mornings and will check in on him 4 times on the weekend
and he has a resto for lunch all but Monday
phantom: axolotl
sounds good
good word !!
even if it is a phantom
and it can regenerate limbs
good to have around lol
half now, and had better get dressed
ty for listening to me going on and on, west, see you soon
I'm running out of steam..if I don't see you before you go have a wonderful carefree time !!
{{westford}}
bye ((( ruby )))
Morning all.
I think I killed the chog. There's been no-one here for ages, so I think I'll go now *wistful sigh*
It goes like that, Hydra.
I can`t believe there are 14 Gs..lol
hmmm
39 to go.
Well done, MissOmnibus...i have just started .think i will be some time..lol
Only have 41 words so far.
I'm sure you will do well ZZ, I tend to crash and burn about now, my brain gives up. I can help clue if i have words :)
r
Wait.... you're from the Isle of Wight?!
My dad is from there
r
cool..what part?
Brading
Yourself, have you lived there long?
Nice little area.
No only about 15 years.
Ohhh, not a local then. I was going to prattle of family connections and ect, I'll zip up :P
Sorry..had a knock on the door...you can chat as much as you like..lol
please can i have a clue for the ga7/8
only have 7 Gs and none are a 7..sorry, cool.girl
ga7/8: Book by Richard Powers: Ga7 2.1. Plural for the 8.
ga7, ga4-a party or festival +a cup of ---(very English)
dont no the man or book
ok, go with mac's clue: much better!!!
Excellent clues, many thanks to you both.
ty
good afternoon, Babble friends
dr
dr right back at ya, Aloy ;)
dr7 is an awesome word, you mean?
hi hursh :)
hiya
and thanks
yw
da7: I learned a new word today.
ooh clue it?
it is a selective herbicide... it combines the start of the da**i lama with considering a certain idea - ***dering.
thanks, that was my last D
yvw and sorry for the awkward clue. Don't know how to make a better one for this.
i could make a dr who clue :) - watch out for the ***eks, *my ***d!
hahahaha great one!
upper O has op4... what else?
the ox7 and 8 combo
ah well i didn't know there was such a combo :)
hi sprite, hi hurshy.. am trying to go through the grid while I have some coffee but no chatting time bc I have to scoot soon.. guess I typed in the wrong box, lol.. good Friday to ya!
hi Aloy, don't worry! A good Friday to you too, from me and the little furry one.
thanks, got em
what's the other 8?
the other 8 is ga
I knew you'd find them just knowing they were there... hence no clue ;)
thanks! got those also!
that helps bring my G's to a respectable level too
:) good job, hursh!
no4/4 and ?
I still need a couple of Gs as well.
no5
thanks
down to 12, that's 90%!
do you have the delightful ga6/24?
9 left here, that is close
I do now, thanks :)
and the ga5/24, the one that looks like it's missing an ending?
yes, have that one
well if you have any guesses about any i miss, let me know :)
ooh got another ga5
*grin*
hm, Gs done but no idea what you are missing. You have the dancing go4 girls?
yep. 1 ge, 3 go4
ok, another go4
thanks got it
hi all, im back
the rest is ga.
hi MissO, welcome back :)
yeah that was my last g
good :D
ty sprite :)
.. and I'm off - go ladies, go!
HI again - hurshy I loved your dr who clue! Made me laugh!
:)
hiya Liz :)
bye Aloy, have a good one
hi liz, hurshy
32 to go <headdesk>
you will get your second wind soon,, missO. this is a pretty easy grid, as babble go anyway.
On can only hope! :P
Could I ask a clue for either one of the please?OX's
trust me :) Been there, done that, got the freakin' T-shirt and burned it. One moment you are staring and becoming more sure every sec that there cannot be any more words... the next you find one and all of a sudden you see a lot more.
add vowel and what the white rabbit said he was, missO
Glad you're finding it easy sprite! I'm not! I've found others this week much easier. Perhaps it'll look better tomorrow! But I'll struggle for a bit longer!
i cannot see the se6
sure. The ox7 sounds like the farm animal was not early.
i had second wind at 60 letters, whittled it down to 49, plodded to 32 and here i am
You
You're way ahead of me MissO!
ty Sprite, aww liz <3
there's a se6?
yes
yeah, before all the other se
the first se is se6,24
sorry Liz :) I know, grids are personal. I have struggled through grids that everyone seemed to find easy.
so that is either sea or sec... lemmeC
i know but i feel like i've typed every combo!
it's funny the way different people see words!
Somedays, if I could punch the grid THROUGH the internet, I feel the world would be a less stressful place...
:)
Otherdays I'm like, "I'm OWNIN YOU" baha... ,muscle flex>
tsk. Why isn't is seacow
lol MissO!
too many points
i wondered that
but it ain't seacop either
coast guard feelin dissed
can't be secant...
got it
ends with expected golf score
clue please?
got it... distance in space, usually the other way around... two syllables.
...
ty hurshy - your last clue gave it to me tho I'd've preferred it the way sprite said!
first 3 = short for 60 in a minute last 3 = kind of bird ***akeet
why would they make a word like that? so weird.
ohhh ty sprite
yvw MissO ;)
i mean if you already have a word what is the point of swapping the syllables to mean the same thing?
I swear the more I babble, the more I feel I'm getting juvenile dementia
say, who wants a ride in my opyjal?
I have no freakin' idea, to be honest. It's funny though. One of those unexplicable word facts.
Perhaps we should call this grid blebab!
LOL! I like Blebab!
OK hurshy - you beat me to it!
my cat tinmar is on my lap
we have a babbler that uses the handle the other way around.
who wants to watch a little vt?
fireflies
Call me Tespri
Yay Sprite :)
grats sprite
i know, i'll snack on some fishgold crackers
you mean flyfires
Yay Tespri :):):)
true. Flyfires it is. Ok, have to be off :( *hugs* to you all, thanks for the help and the great company.
do you have a book in your sackknap?
bye sprite
...sorry.... panycom
So actually in the grid there's a chinese snack - a wonot
fntt
can anyone pa6,21 clue me please?
Enjoy your day
to be a good chef, it helps to have a good pa6
sorbet is often used as a pa6 cleanser
omg ty hurshy... HOW DID I NOT GET THAT
I'm leaving 44 tomorrow and think it might be time to break out the list. Have a good evening or day :)
later liz
p
hello everyone :)
hello? {{annie}}
gm, annie and ruby and everyone. tadone and finito
ruby, when is your London trip? You must be excited.
amazing! ibd and hello
next Friday and I can't wait
wow dawg, congrats!

ruby, have a great trip!!
we're having a blizzard today and almost couldn't get back up to the house
husband made me so angry last night, that my guilty feelings have gone!
for the first time, ever, I yelled at him
*chuffed*
It must be pretty. Guilt is not in the picture now, go and enjoy yourself.
it's gorgeous, fluffy, white and light
but, naturally, no snow tires on the car....
How long will you be away?
I didn't say a word as we struggle honme
only 4 days (3 nights) but even that little trip took a lot of arrangingh
struggled* home*
sure it did but you deserve to get away for a while
just as long as he doesn't burn the house down or let the dogs escape
but once I'm gone, I'm gone, and I'll try not to think about it
Arent you having someone stay with him?
the housekeeper will be here 4 hrs Fri and Mon mornings and will check on him twice a day on the weekend.
that's all I could do
Well then, go with a clear mind and have an enjoyable stay
<-- desperately needs to get away
It will be a good rest for you
no responsibillities and SUSHI!
yay!
almost have an envelop ready for Bobby. It will go out before I leave
dont worry about that.
I haven't done Christmas cards yet, so husband will mail it when he mails mine. I did all his envelops, but haven't done my card
cards*
You still have a week to take care of loose ends.
hmm, I thought seacow was a word!
isn't that another name for a manatee?
yes, I also tried it. No go.
sea cow
mooo (bubble bubble) BR

hey car!
am off to play for three hours at the Christmas Market at nearby state park / restored fort
smores...why are you having trouble sleeping?
Oh how nice WV! A holiday program?
but not today. it takes up the whole day
Occupational hazard for smores, I think--the new night job.
Very cool job TO.
teach, that is lovely. our christkndlmarkt has live enteretainment, very festive. would love to hear you
yes, all holiday music
Oh! I did not know that.
I am a bit out of the loop this week.
I tried to play so many instruments over the years but I just do not have the ability. Musicians amaze me.
I would love to hear you play WV!
TO - good to support live music - sometimes listen to World Cafe - listen alot to NPR - Mountain Stage is based here is WV - sometimes done locally
i learned on accordian, it was the ra4/5. then guitar
My boys went to see "Annie" last night. They LOVED it!
will be playing both the bowed psaltery and lap dulcimer today
teach, rachel yamagata today. you might like her
Back with a cuppa coffee
I tried flute, piano, guitar, violin, trumpet---my sisters excel in music, but my brain just cannot do it.
oops, i am getting her confused with vienna tang. :/
But, Scrabs, your brain excels at medicine!
but you can read music now, a help in church
*looking up bowed psaltery*
<----brain not excelling at this grid today
Cool, wv!
oooh, speaking of dulcimer, i saw claudia schmidt a month or so ago. i love when she plays dulcimer
Hi Smores!
Yes, car, I have my talents with which I am blessed.
hiya car
We are all blessed due to your talents, scrabs!!!!
teach i forget if you play hammered dulcimer
I do like to help people navigate the medical world and avoid the dangers of being a patient.
Smores, I did not know of your new schedule. I understand it WILL get easier.
no i do not but many of our group play the hammered dulcimer as well
need to be off - BBL
heae you heard of claudia? she began as folk but is now more jazz
Bye teach!!

The w was throwing me off....no idea this was a word...learning so much.
lol
omg rod stewart and steve winwood touring together. how weird.
I only knew it from previous grids...sure didn't know it before playing Babble
Yes, TO---what's wrong with this picture?!!
i cannot relate to the loung singer rod. as i cannot relate to the standards singing mc cartney
It's kind of like Tony Bennett doing all those duets with some people---good idea but makes me feel like I'm somehow listing to one side when I hear them.
my young sil did not even know he did anything else! she loves the smooth rod
i agee, mimi
Did you know the song "Yesterday" had as its first lyrics..."Scrambled eggs..."?
no, i didn't!
lol...I know, my daughters were surpirsed when I made them listen to some old Rod Stewert
lol...seriously Mimi?
I like Maggie May but cannot watch him perform because I always have an urge to get up there and wash his hair!
my sil likes country and smooth rod and michael buble
Yep, smores...it was a trivia question once.
i loe every picture tells a story and the whole gasolikne alley album
The rest of it was either "I hate scrambled eggs" or "I ate scrambled eggs." Guess they wrote the music first!!
time to go. happy babbling all
Bye, TO (big hug).
Bye TO, enjoy your day off :)
Wanna talk weird visuals...I have a friend here whose friend got to play on a track with Kenny Rogers at Abbey Road studios on McCartney's old piano.....makes me all kinds of shivery.
Ooops---guess I'm in the PO for that one!
wow...how awesome
lol....
When I was younger, I recorded (singing) at Master Sound in Atlanta where the Doobie Bros. and Allmans and many others recorded....make me feel privileged somehow.
as well it should Mimi
I'm just so sentimental that I cry at coffee commercials.
singing is sooo not a gift of mine...lol
lol...coffee commercials
I can tell you those sound engineers really make people sound so great.
I did a demo CD a couple of years ago for a radio show I wanted to create and it sounds terrific.
they would have to do miracles on me...lol
would love to hear you Mimi
Smores, I'm classically trained in voice and I could just imagine when I was still doing classic rock, my voice coach rolling over in her grave when I'd belt out "Hit Me With Your Best Shot!!"
lol...classical, classic....what they hey
There you go!!! Gotta get ready for my day. Bye to all and hugs all around. {{smores}}
{{ Mimi }} bye for now - have a wonderful day :)

hi lynxxx
off to do some more Christmas baking. Trying to get the shortbread done ... kids go through it pretty quickly so have to make about 4 pounds of butter worth!
mmmmmm <drooooool>
congrats nan, see you monday
I need to do all my baking too - but not today - its going to be tres hot
It is just so easy to make, but it does need 3 weeks to cure.
oh I hadn't heard that before....do you mean the pastry or after it is cooked?
cold and rainy here - will also be doing some baking this afternoon - need to get some lunch first
can't bake here... I'm sick and I don't want to spread my misery to family and friends in the guise of cookies...
hi wv. Swap you - going to get up to 39 here today
poor nrkii
maybe I should bake cookies for my former boss...
evil nrkii
after cooking: 1 cup butter, 2 cups flour, 1/2 cup icing sugar. Knead until silky, shape into 2 blocks about 2 " wide x 3/4" thick. Prick with a fork, cover with a tea towel and put in fridge for at least one hour. Slice across blocks into 1" strips and bake at 300F for one hour (golden colour when done). You may have to slice into strips again while still hot, then cool on a rack. Store in a metal container between sheets of parchment or waxed paper at room temp. for 2 to 3 weeks before serving.
Thanks Nan!
If you try it -- forget the diet and use butter -- marge just doesn't work!
I should use marg but I don't like it....salted or unsalted butter?
and knead it really well -- you will know it when the texture starts to have a silky feel -- knead a little longer after that.
Shortbread , this is the best receipe I have ever tried and with a Scottish dad I have tried many 1and 3/4 cups plain flour 1/2 cup cornflour 3/4 cup icing sugar 250gms butter [ 8 ounces] cream butter and sugar, add flours, shape into log and wrap in plastic wrap and refridgerate until firm, cut into about 1cm slices and bake mod. oven about 12 minutes.
salted butter
That recipe is Angdrees - I have been using it for a few years now - but for cut-out shortbeads and I chocolate dip partially
*Andrees
I will try yours this year Nan - thankyou
I don't use any mixers -- just my hands - that is the secret. My recipe is from my Scottish grandmother, but there are as many recipes as there are regions in Scotland! This one has much the same texture but is not quite as hard as Walkers.
Yes - I only use hands too
lynxx.... I copied your shortbread recipe, possibly last year at this time. My puzzle was corn flower and finally came to the conclusion that it is what we call corn starch.
ty for traditional scottish shortbread recepie cybernan
oooops ** flour **
hi all....clue please for pa6/21?
corn flour = corn starch in U.S. and Canada , after reading up on it.
hi Diane. Isn't Google a wonderful thing esp when we swap recipes - I am always looking up 'substitute'
hi Cross & Flask
pa6.21 pa & not early
hi lynxxx
Corn flour and corn starch are two totaly different things in the US
as they are here
thanks lynxxx
what is the texture of your corn flour, bichon ? Is it like a VERY fine cornmeal ? Now I really am befuddled !
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cornflour
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corn_star\nch
It's not orn meal either. We call it Masa Harina and it thickens chili
*corn
we use the starch as a thickener
among other things
But, yes, Diane, it is fine
I think corn starch and corn flour are different. Look different anyway
they are
I had seen that link before, crossy... and this is what confused me: Called corn starch in the United States and Canada. Called cornflour in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Israel and some Commonwealth countries. Not to be confused with cornmeal. Often called maizena in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Austria, Italy, Portugal, Norway, Denmark, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain, South Africa, Latin America, and Indonesia, after the brand.[citation needed]
and all being said, I think I'll just stick to my Grandma's recipe LOL
Always the right way to go diane
;-)
in our venicular,we would use cornflour for baking corn bread ,making frittes etc,it is much coarser, corn starch is super fine and used to make cream style corn and to thicken sauces
So you should be able to buy corn flour in Canada Diane...we are both commonwealth countries so I am guessing our products are labelled the same?
We have so much Mexican foodstuff on our shelves. Can find anything corn.
sure there are seahorses, but no "seacow?" LOL
i see by the news that washington is now supporting same sex marriage and the gove there no longer dictates who you may or may not fall in love with.congratulation.you are progressing
yes there is sugrra, it's a mannatee
And marijuana is now legal in Washington State too
wow
LOL Bichon - well mannatee is not in this puzzle!~ hah
soon you will have universal health care!
Right, don't go too overboard crossy
lol,sorry lost myself there
There are several cases before the supreme court testing states same sex marriage laws, so all is not settled yet.
and there are just some of the states recognizing same sex marriage
The real issue is not whether same sex marriages will be legal in x-number of states and illegal in others. The isuue is whether the anti states will have to recognize marriages done in other states.
we get many american couples here for weddings
Even if a state recognizes them, they still can not get social security benefits or insurance coverage. That is the biggest issue, I think.
last year we had to tweak thing for non caanadian to divorce though
Unless DOMA is repealed. Fingers crossed
and yess bzz,if you cannot marry in a state i am sure the same state will not give any benefits accorded other unions
Can I just say that I think everyone in Congress should be pushed off the "fiscal cliff". I'm so tired of this bickering.
it is sad.sally ride and her partner were together for 30 years and she is tossed aside.here she would of gotten full widow benefits and anything else that comes with marriage
And that is all the political poo I will spout.
lol at political poo
<----loving political poo

Hello all
hi jilly
tx wv
Good Afternoon, Everyone. How are you all today?
Hello nef...how is DH?
He's doing okay; he just isn't trustworthy right now (not exactly safe yet). He came home 8:30 Tuesday night; having pain; but otherwise okay.
how are you doing?
So nurse nef is busy....((hugs))
I am doing well, kinda rough day at work...
tough patients or heavy schedule?
(and thanks for the hugs)
hi nef, glad to hear your DH is doing better!!
administration....be nice if they had a clue about what we do....*sigh* just glad it's Friday!
and hi jill, wound up calling the surgeon last night and all is well (whew!)
I'm glad to hear YOU and your Frank are doing okay, sue! Yikes!
Hi uusue!!
what did the surgeon have you do?
yes, we are managing. I saw my psychiatrist today and got a prescription for a beta blocker that I can use when the anxiety gets too bad
peroxide, antibiotic cream, and watch (which is what I was doing anyway). He said the packing was supposed to come out, and when I looked at it this morning it had closed up and was less red.
(((uusue)))
Jilly, another nurse told me about a site you might like: http://whatshouldwecallnursing.tumblr.\ncom/
oh-oh. What was wrong Sue?
the surgeon had opened up the original incision, which had some gunk behind it, and put in some packing gauze. It came out and I wasn't sure it was supposed to (but it was).
fixed link: http://whatshouldwecallnursing.t\numblr.com/
I take it back, not fixed. Babble seems to insert random odd characters in urls in chat.
http://whatshouldwecallnursing.tumblr.\ncom/
LOL, nice link uusue, neededa laugh...
Best to tiny url.
I found it anyway....
It's the backslash that shouldn't be there
and the n, nef
sorry
don't be sorry, you are right!
hello sue
hi wv!
I'm glad you called the surgeon, Sue. I had to talk to DH's surgeon too after we were home. His activity orders were that he couldn't resume routine activity til after he sees the surgeon 12/28; the home PT thought that meant bedrest for a month!
my goodness, that would be a lot of bed rest!
<---nbt and nbs
yay jill!
not to mention that what it would do to his muscles and balance and etc.
YAY, Jilly!
Having doubts on the PT...what was he'she thinking!!??
congrats jilly
We are having a light sprinkle of tiny snow right now; first snow of the season! :-)
just a cold drizzle here
She was reading that straight from the medical record: "May not resume routine activity until seen by surgeon" (which would be 12/28). The surgeon is the one who goofed
Pretty candles Teach. Are they in memory of someone?
BRB, DH is sleeping and I need to check on him
Well, off to get a Christmas tree...bbl, so nice to chat with you alll...especially nef (it's been awhile)
*poof*
bye jill!
back. Darn, I missed Jilly!
Our dog will be 15 next month (we've had him since he was 8); but I'm worried he will die or need to be put down before Christmas. Poor pupster is not well; but the vet didn't find anything wrong with him after we spent over $550 in tests!
anyone have clues for la6/24?
well, that's a good sign, no?
(It was the dog that made me think I had to check on DH; but now sounds like DH is up.
la6/24 is a body of water
TY, Sue
thanks sue!
¡sʞɹoÊÇɹıɟ
yay lawyer!
I couldn't have done it without you, Sue!
:-)
this grid is baring its teeth at me at 66/53 ;((
I'm at 76/43 but I figure at this point anything more I get is gravy
anyone want any clues?
Sorry about your dog, Nef. And the vet fees.
my son graduates this feb from high school and already he has a orientation meeting with our big cable company to work the studio at our local station:)) proud poppa moment
YAY, lawyer-1!! WTG!!!
yay to crossy jr!
i wasted many of my chances in my yough,so it is especially good to see him grab ahold of all the leads and mentorships/apprenticships/co-ops thrown his was
youth
way
thanks, Molly. He's a cute dog but very dumb; a schiz-poo that weighs all of 11 lbs. We'd had one before this one that was smart and had thought they all were. (This one has gotten through life on his looks)
yay for crossy jr! All your past worrying may be in vain?
we had a cocka-poo once that was so smart it was scary.he actually understood and carried out revenge. if you gave him heack for something he would get even, with just you,or your stuff
I always expect 'oxon' to work due to Oxon Hill, Oxon meadow, Oxon Rd and other such named places around here spelled like that.
maybe nef.he seems to have a natural affinity for this sort of thing in a savant kink of way.all these years fighting with the IEP school system and electronics and cameras just speak to him
kind
I thought the savant kink was rather intriguing :-)
that's good he has a place to shine, crossy.
his compass is still drifting of course, but this may be "it" my beloved and i can only hope
my job is to show him where that compass can take him even though he may get lost along the way,if i help him read things right he will arrive at his destination
having gone through a lot of anguish with my son at that age; I understand, crossy.
uh oh,waxing poetic again..time for tea and meds...
good luck with him, crossy!!!
so what is the latest with frank suze? i know he has the pic line in
wish i had that even though it is a pita.i was like a pin cushion after 6 months
looked like i had been a heroin junkie for 15 years
yeah, once he starts chemo he is really going to appreciate it, I think
he still has some infection in his original incision so I have to put some peroxide on it
he will indeed suze, the chemo needles are for the most part massive bored things9though i have seen butterfly type used with those with vein issues) but man! i swear they are half an ich across lol
but he is doing much better, much more himself now
one of our friends told us about another friend who had chemo with no port; now if they need to take blood they have to use her ankle
for dressing his larger spots ask the pharmacy for "adaptic" it is a sterile moist dressing that does not pull when changing and has medicants on it already
well, the hole closed up overnight so unless it opens again it should be ok
my left arm is shot for blood etc now suze, they draw from the right or my foot
I talked to the surgeon on call last night, and the surgeon's nurse today
did they just not have ports yet when you got chemo?
they had them, but i was never given the option
huh
and by the time i thought of it all was in chaos and i was too ill to care
apparently they are quite routine here now
well,it will be one less thing for frank to endure anyways endless jabbing that is
have they decided on the chemo type?
not quite, they want the results of the PET scan first
sorry, I was off making tea for DH and me. Central line ports have been around for many years; it makes me mad to see you weren't offered one, crossy
clues for the ox please
indeed nef.my left arm is a junkie disaster
ox + vowel + not early, and plural
i still get circulation and it is not grey or anything but we leave it alone now
tx uusue
good idea, crossy
"someone" should have had half a brain to have done that to you, crossy
port
sorry
oops! off to PB for me!
that's ok, maj, we were talking about them anyway and should all be in the PB :-)
i am still here and alive.i cannot complain too much.after three cancers i was given life back at some cost to nerves and the left arm and the groin, but i am here to bitch about it lol
i get to see my son graduate this year;))
yay crossy!
bacon vodka for all!!!
Which is wonderful, crossy!
indeed nef,i am rather partial to bacon vodka;))
errr, not quite what I meant, crossy; I was happy you're still around
:-)
we got the proof photos today and will be ordering a set and it comes with a computer disc with the pics on ,so i will be sure to post some in fb and in the babble fb room\
nice!
lol,i know nef and ty,i am just playing round
figured as much, crossy.
it is funny, looking at the picture of him,all in robes and his mortar board hat..once i had a boy,a small child and now he is becoming a man.i remember him spraying mashed peas back at me from the bouncy chair and him destroying yet another sleeper and now he graduates;))
ok,enough blathering.time to find a word or 2
I still can't find an N for the NBT, I do have NBS, however (at 45 words into this grid)
no 4/5 and no 5/12 - don't know meaning of either
NO 5 - opposite of yes + short for friend
DANG! I tried that no4 several times! Why does it work only After I ask for help?
that's life - or should i say - that's Babble
LOL! So true, teach. :-)
babble and enable are strange and mysterious
I guess that's why we keep coming back.....
yup..fit right in we do

Chrissie; I gave up trying to keep up my bio somewhere in July this year,
and I'm sorry to read about your Mom passing away. My condolences to you.
I figured if things had improved you would have updated or altered it.
Chrissie, I am so sorry to hear about your Mom.
I had hand surgery on Nov. 3rd and DH had cervical spine fusion on Nov. 26th. I'll be so glad when this year is over.
Thanks Nef. It was her funeral today. It was a perfect day. The service was lovely and God send sunshine for her final journey,

I got stuck at 39 last night but have got it down to 12 this morning!
Mind you, I listed this morning at 30.
cool, yeah I listed at 50...never understand how some do it wihtout lickety...lol
Me neither - so happy when others provide list when Lickety's not around.
And how do people finish after 15 minutes?
me too Liz, I try to make it to 1/2 without a list
lol....no way will I ever be able to do that
That's also my aim - 1/2 way before listing!
I found it a struggle with this grid - but got there in the end!
can someone clue the ga8?
George Bernard Shaw wrote a play - Pygmalion and his ga 8!

hiya eieios
Hola

n + semi precious stone
that's funny, being from texas, I was thinking of the mexican food that has the diminutive ending of that word earlier. just havent ever heard it without the ending....
Not that up on Mexican food I guess!
I think it is some kind of cactus or pepper....
n****itos
Just googled it!
lol..it is eieios...the vegatable used in a lot aof Mexican foods
Also know as prickly pear or sabra - those I knew!
i have eaten it, just not exactly sure what it is. is that bad? lol
final word to find - ta 5 /10
the only one I have is a bird's claws....
or claw b/c it's singular
fireworks!
WTG Liz!!!
ty - saw your bird's claw comment and thought it related to the Mexican food! Duh!!! That was the word!
should have prefaced it with a clue remark.
that was fine -made me laugh!
lol...no5 and bird claws
:)
Here for a while to help if needed - hubby tidying garage - his man shed!
I will take stats for the c's. I only have 3.

5/16 and 5/14 for me....
co 5/14 is like the no 5/12
I don't think that's edible, even in texas. lol
Hiya Sue :)

Hello ga!
Hey there, Jillyjill. How are you?
Cripes, the some of the 4's are getting me! Otherwise, just watching my alma mater play in the quarter finals, to the team that beat them last year in the quarter finals...nail biter..

Om is its ring tone.
No, it's a herbicide. Hello all. x
Hi jacula!!
Jac, what is this reality stuff. You are spoiling our fun. :^)
lol
hi Jac
Sorry, I'll go away again. Bye.
Help with the la6?
NOOOOO jacula...I need a clue!!
la6, The creature came from a black one of these.
Jilly la6 = the blue watery place.
Got it!
la6 small area of water
lol
wht - that's so dark! I was thinking more of the love story rather than the horror film when I clued it. lol
I may be a realist re clues, but I'm also a romantic.:-)
Ty so much jac! Seem to be having a tough time with this one...but in my defense, watching a football game....
lol..
Jac, what can I say. That was the first thing that popped into my mind. (such as it is.)
Lol, wht.
la 6 Half of the title of the worst movie ever made
ruru - You're probably thinking of the modern version of the film. The old one was much better!
The 1949 version with Jean Simmons and Donald Houston was lovely.
yes the brooke shield's one
clue for the se6, please. I think the creature from the black la6 ate my monkeys.
not a minute + a golfing term
part of a minute + *** for the course
lol...ruru
Forget Brooke Shields and her eyebrows, look to the 1949 film or the original novel by Henry De Vere Stacpoole.
Is that something related to a timed golf round?
Fireworks
WTG WHT!!!
well done wht
se6 is a word only astrophysicists and Trekkies know.:-)
Well done, wht! *~*~*~*~*
well .. it was sure new to me today
Is it a fraction of a parsec?
I forgot to say, it's a babblette, Babblers also know. I've added the extra t and the e to the end because it's a longer word.
I like you spelling, Jac. It seems much more sophisticated.
Although it might also be construed to refer to a Babbler like you.
as opposed to a Babelette?
Gosh! This new, whizzy cordless mouse my son insisted I have a few hours ago certainly takes some getting used to! I know my old 'attached' mouse was getting slow, but all this whizzing is sending me dizzy! lol
Jac, do you need a cat to catch your mouse?
ruru - Babel (the tower of) is a totally different place from Babble. Well, most of the time.
jac, looks like you need to go into your mouse settings and slow it down.
whizzing means something else over here Jac
whizzing means something else over here Jac
So that is where all the wierd words in Enable come from. It is from when God confused the languages at the tower of Babel. It all makes sense now.
hello ruru, jac, wht
wht - I might need a cat - perhaps I should let mine out of his bedroom and let him have a go? No, probably not. He doesn't like rude awakenings.
wow..ruru
hi rose
wow?
Hey Rose :)
Hi Rose
and smores...hi
grannyrose - son did tell me he'd slow it down if I want. I don't think I do want. I just need a day or two to get used to it.
nothing worse than a cranked up mouse
hey ruru...don wants to know what sort of cookies are on the dark side.lol
chocolate Chip
Hi rose! How are you/
ok, jac...i found my cordless mouse was wa-ay too fast for me.
rur - I guess you're going to tell me that 'whizzing' means something rude like we in UK had to tell you that 'wanking' did some years ago?
hey jilly. doing well, thanx. and you, my friend?
LOL..go jacula!
ruru, not very original...choccie chip....think i'll stay in the light a little longer.
My mouse with cord is still connected, I can always go back to it if I want to.
(with Pot granny)
ROFL
hang on, i'll be right over....
So, what does 'whizzing' mean in US? Here in UK it means running/zipping around very fast.
um, jac....don't go there.....
lol..
put it nicely, ruru
ruru and grannyrose - you drug addicts! lol
Hi again Everybody. Jac, whizzing means peeing
(puts tape over mouth)
hey nef
Oh, is that all? Thanks, Nef.
hi granny (and Jac and ruru and smores and all)
your welcome, Jac.
hello again nef!
hey Nef :)
Even if the term was semen related, I wouldn't have been shocked. I'd only censor the post if children were here.
:-)
jac...years ago, when i was a twenty-something, a group of us went out for dinner at a very posh chinese restaurant. whilst waiting for our dinner to arrive, someone started handing around a brown paperbag with cookies in it. innocent me took one, and was told to eat it surreptitiously...can't remember much after that...
new word for me, se6/24, astronomic measure
But, it seems to me that every time a teacher puts children in here we get foul-mouthed trolls for a day or so.
Yep jacula, we will have no pr5/12 here!!
granny - and the content was...? *Waits anxiously*
granny's a pot-head.. ... granny's a pot-head
lol...Rose
hash cookies, of course. very nice i must admit
oh my god
I'm consorting with druggies
oooo....condensed pothead at that
Well, I've heard that hash cookies and cake are very good for arthritis, rheumatism pains etc.
Granny, are you taking your next vacation in Seattle?
hey, i guess you could say that....much smaller than i used to was.
that's because when you eat them you can't feel your extremities
rofl, wht....want the recipe???
LOL, one can vacation in WA or Colorado soon...
I remember friends making Alice B Toklas Brownies back in the 60's. I never tried them because I was on my way to work and they told me what they were...
I ate pot corn bread only once in my life
I've never taken drugs other than cigarettes and alcohol, and brown pot in the 70s, which put me off drugs 'cos it gave me a headache. Have spoken to both present partner and my daughter after they've had green pot and still don't think it's for me.
never again
used to make the brownies, hash and/or pot
*wonders if this is why granny likes oxycodone so much?* i must have an addictive personality...whatcha think?
a friend of mine used to experiment with all kinds of recipes....once did lasagna
Got spaced out when just walking past the uni ion AAmsterdam a few years ago. The smell of pot was almost overwhelming.
special pesto lasagna
<-----Ta done!
WTG JILLY!!!!
YAY, Jilly!!! WTG!!!
WTG Jilly!!!
wtg Jilly
yup, ruru, wasn't too bad
Well, hate to done and run, but gotta put my focus on the game...see you all tomorrow, thanks for all the help Jacual and wht!
When I was a kid and got a stomach upset the doctor used to prescribe a fantastic medicine. Kaolin and Morphine. The Kaolin was white and chalky and fell to the bottom of the bottle, the morphine/opium was brown and stayed at the top. I love that bit!
ByeJilly enjoyyour evening :)
later, jilly? after the game and flip?
gosh, jac, that takes me back a bit...
Almost all of the best of UK literary books were written by authors who were under the influence of opium.
Hopefully rose...but am sipping a pint, so who knows...teehee...
I always wondered about Alice in Wonderland...lol
Well....game getting good...*poof* bbl at flip
I remember my grandmother taking ( and giving us) paregoric for just about everything...used to infuriate my mom
Jily - Yes, that was two books and Lewis Carroll's relationship with his friends' daughter Alice would be questionable these days.
But don't forget Charles Dickens, and others.
And then there was Sherlock Holmes taking a bit of cocaine when the detective business was slow and shooting a patriotic VR in the wall of his den.
I once bought paragoric over the counter in Wyoming when our daughter was very sick on a road trip coming home from Montana. Wonder if it's still sodl OTC there?
I heard Sherlock was a Crack shot
good one, ru!
lol
wht - you're not wrong about Sherlock.
Teas
His landlady was very patient.
wht - she was - maybe he'd got her smoking pot? lol
wow nef, I recall she used to just have to sign for it when I was still quite young, then her throwing a fit at the pharmacy when they told her she needed a script.
Our daughter is now 30; she was about 5 at the time... So it wasn't *that* long ago.
paregoric drugs roytinely given to children in the 50s, 60s and early 70s - cannabis, opium, heroin and more.
*routinely, I meant to type.
If the UK NHS now refuses to treat any of us born in the late 50s 'due to drug or alcohol' abuse I think they might ave to thinik again, given the hard drugs they gave us from birth to 10 years old!
yeah but those children were Keith RIchard and Ronnie wood
Sorry for bad spelling. It's due to the super fast mouse this time.
Maybe that is how they have managed to live so long.
ruru - Not just members of The Small Faces, but all of us kids.
lol...yeah I was born in '62 and gramdma gave it to me ever time I so much as sneezed
Our dtr. was violently ill, with vomiting and diarrhea and stomach ache. We were trying to get home ASAP and stopped at a small town pharmacy when I couldn't handle it. The pharmacist sold the paragoric to us, no Rx needed. It did help her sleep and the N&V and diarrhea stopped..
Hello to my fellow babblers! How is everybody doing today
i'm not exactly sure what a paragoic is
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! Way to go!
|N3ef - which proves that opium and/or morphine works.
it's an opiate
ah
is it an opiate of the masses?
glad it worked for her nef, you guys must have been a wreck for her to be that sick and away from home
rur - a paragoric is a medicine that is opium based.
Hiya Min :)
It sounds like it was an opiate for the messes
ROFL
camphorated tincture of opium, ruru.
I think we might all need an opiate of the masses soon!
lol
LOL, wht! Hey, there's nothing as miserable as a puking stooling kid on a car trip!
omg wht you can be so hysterically funny
I am finished! I have fireworks! co 5/16 was my final word.
WTG Mn!!!
YAY, Min!!! WTG!!!
good for you minver.. well done
Story is already is already in profile, but I'll be here to clue
se 6/24?
Thanks Min, I'll check it out
co516 = a type of grass. Think co* that goes with a nut and then think the opposite of 'off'.
how are you doing, Min? I've been off the computer mostly last month
se6 abbreviation for part of a minute + an average golf score.
i'm going to go make dinner.. you guys go ahead without me.
tyvm wht
bye for now ruru, enjoy your meal :)
I'm of to bed again now. Happy Babbling all!x
special pesto lasagna
night jac
I am doing okay Nef. Busy with work. You know, the usual.
Good night jac
Welcome back to Babbleland Nef. How have U been doing?
Sounds good, ruru. Brownies for dessert?
lol...ruru
Goodbye rururocks! I will see you tomorrow in the chat log
sleep well Jac
bye minver
I've managed to chase off Jacula & rururocks, anyone else?
I had some hand surgery Nov. 3rd and DH had a cervical fusion of his spine Nov. 26th. I am doing fine; but DH just never follows the usual recovery process.
Sorry to hear about DH, but glad you are doing ok.Hope that he gets better very soon Nef. Is it because he is not following the doctor's orders, or it just takes him longer to recover.Surgery can be hard to recover from at times
Both, Min. His MS probably has something to do with it; but his stubbornness is a big problem too. Safety is a serious issue these days...
:( sorry to hear Nef
Tonight I fixed some supper for him and left him alone for 20 minutes. He is having trouble with his throat and swallowing; so no bread or crackers allowed. While I was gone (I'd had to run to the pharmacy for something), he got up by himself and got some crackers and was eating those when I got back! I could have choked himmyself I was so mad!
Sounds like the model patient, Nef. :^)
I get mad at my husband too because he doesn't take care of himself either with his drinking and his smoking. Hubby is also known for not following his doctor's orders too Nef.
He just proved AGAIN why I can't leave him alone and to his own devices. (He'd been told both IN the hospital and by the speech therapist yesterday about NO bread, crackers, etc.)
wht, if he was my patient at work; I'd get a few hours away from him to recoup!
Sorry; that's off my chest now. Change the subject; okay?
No problem. The chog is a good vent pipe.
Of course, you should see what we were smoking in the pipe before. :^)

Mine would like some...and my wounds need licking as well
LOL, smores! Did they fall asleep on you?
sorry your team lost Jilly
yeah nef monkeys were definately out of it tonight
oh, guess it was choc chip cookies earlier not brownies
I'm definitely out of it; I was wondering if you'd had an accident, Jilly
NO, but MSU was in the semifinals again this year, #2 all year, lost again to Sam Houston that was #10. grrrrrrr
*who was #10
MSU? Is that Butte? (I'm confused)
Billings or Missoula?
Was really hoping we'd make it to the big match and that my son's team would be our opponent..it's the last year ODU will be in our league.
No Bozeman
Montana Tech is Butte
BOZEMAN! Dang; I hit the other cities (I AM out of it tonight)
U of M is Missoula, that's hubby's school. We beat them
U of M is Missoula, that's hubby's school. We beat them
Nah nef, you just need to come out here for a renewal!
that's what I thought; but I'm just not with it tonight
I sure felt that way with this grid!
We do need to go to MT this next year. AND my neice is getting married in September; so I will be there (not sure about DH; I might leave him home if he continues to be so stubborn as he has been tonight)
lol...hope he is better by then Nef
so do I, smores; so do I....
Evening all... ;o)
well if no clues are needed I'm gonna go
Hiya Pinikula
PINI! Hi!
hi smores
NEF! :)
((pini))
How are you? Haven't seen you since forever! :-)
JJ! :)
how's everyone doing?
I've been popping in a little more often...it's nice to be back :)
Nef, we MUST all get together in september then...you, me, dawg and harp!!
I have missed you pini!!
*blush* aw shucks, JJ...thanks! :)
have a wonderful evening all, may see ya at the flip :)
I've missed being around...
I agree, Jilly. Last time I planned a trip to MT to meet Babblers DH got sick. This time.... we'll see.
bb smores!!
...but, now that the wedding's over and done with and the holidays are around...
will have to keep lots of prayers going for DH nef!!
Pini; I've missed you too. Wedding? who got married?
My youngest dau married at the end of September...I think I'm almost fully recovered! LOL
Oh. my! I bet it was both fun and a lot of work.
It was, but well worth it...
My icon is one from my annual photo shoot with my grandkids...they're gettin' sooooooo big. ;)
*sigh* wondering if either of my boys will find their soul partners...
They are! I think I remember you had your grandson in camouflage the last time I saw one
Oh, I'm sur they will, Nef!
Jilly, my daughter is now 30 (my baby) and she's not married either. She says she doesn't want kids though...
He was for awhile, Nef...I dressed him "preppy" today...his dad 'bout had a heart attack!! LOL
:-) How old is he now?
Don't ya luv upsetting your children!! LOL
He turned 3 in August, Nef...and I sure do, JJ!!! LOL
All he could do was shake his head and say the sweater belonged at one of those "holiday sweater parties"...
my grandson is now 3 1/2, Pini
..but it was simply a red cable knit...no other embelishments, etc., over a white turtleneck
we're neck in neck, Nef! :)
BTW, your picture is really nice!!
No grandkids, but a 30 year old son...hmmmm ...matchmaking up our alley nef *winks*
ad 5 clue pllease.
i have 17 grandkids and one due feb.
Thx, Nef!
Hi mkg
OMG, mkg...I only have 2 so far...but they're great!!!
well, Jilly, my dtr is a certified "travel info specialist" for MN tourism; and she is in to roller derby BIG time.
From what we are being told; our 1 is all we will ever have.
I'd take one...oh well, patience...
I think I may have better chances with the younger gay son marrying and adopting...
you are young yet, Jilly.
Yup, just that I had a taste when the oldest was married and had a step grandson...loved it so much...not so much the wife....
our D-I-L is mentally ill; so I hope and pray they never do have more. But I do hope that our dtr. has a child JUST like HER!
LOL, that would be my wish for the oldest....
actually, I have wished two twin daughters on him!
oh, you're rather evil, JJ! :)
My brother has twin girls...and just had another
You didn't raise him ;)
wow!
good point, JJ! :)
Actually, he is a dear wonderful young man that I love dearly, but he was a terror as a child...I NEVER want to EVER be in a principals office again!
that's not even his full head count...1 boy, 4 girls...he and his son are definitely out numbered!
He sounds like he was as much of a handful as my dtr was, Jilly
oh my, Pini. Rather him than us; right?
Good heart without a brain...his being likable was his only saving grace
aint that the truth, Nef!
:-)
I am sort of glad I had only boys...
I had 2 girls...and now have a wonderful S-I-L...his family, on the other hand...can't figure out how he's even related to them...he's priceless...they're...well, um..."if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all"... LOL
my son became a handful when he was in ; so at that time my dtr. was a good kid.his late teens
*er...I HAVE 2 girls
(BRB; I need to check on DH)
(hope all's well)
Hi Pini, good to see you, seems quite a long time
hi flosey!
Hello, Pink. You still lead-footing that pickup around Eugene with that guard dog?
it's been, but promise to be better
BR!!!!! how's it going??
sure am, BR! *wink*
I am doing fine, parnelli
just in to change my icon
* giggle *
I changed mine to pic taken today... :)
Very nices pictures, Pini
(still doesn't show on my screen)
thx BR :)
They are getting tall
back. I heard a noise and thought it was DH; it was my son bringing the sleeping grandson
very, BR! and more fun everyday...
glad to hear all is well, Nef :)
The Ducks had another good season
Well, when my son brings the little boy over at 11PM (they live 35 miles across The Cities); I wonder if all is well too
They did, but were robbed in the game against Stanford :(
oh my, Nef...didn't know that part...really do hope all is well!
(our son isn't saying anything is wrong yet. Durn boys! Too closed-mouthed at times)
I'm sure he'll come around, Nef...
he will; in his own time.
How are you doing, Pini?
Sorry nef...
Well, BR...yourself?
No acute distress.
How's ND treatin' ya?
How is your dog doing?
He's kinda gotten' a little on the fat side...
...he's decided that he doesn't want to go out when the ground is wet!
Did not really have a winter last year. This year appears to be more of the same.
...or when it's raining...apparently he thinks he might melt! LOL
*knock on wood* BR...hope the weather up there stays managable
Cut the food back for awhile and he may change his mind
Wow, we are neighbors BR...
good point, BR...but I'd rather he not eat me instead! LOL
you in ND, too, JJ?
No, Jilly. BR is *my* neighbor! ;-)
I think he knows better.
IMagining a tug of war....
probably, BR
(at least I hope so!!!)
Pini, Jilly lives in MT (the same town as HarpJane
No pini, western montana
*finding seat to watch tug-o-war*
Get comfortable pini, this may take awhile...LOL
that's right...but you're closer than moi! :)
True that!
Lehr
It's snowing here now..
already, JJ?
I can only hope that we get some snow...
It's snowing lightly here too. Is it snowing up there, BR?
...going to go snowmobiling later this month up on the mountain...can't wait
No snow here.
(maybe you're too far north for the snow tonight)
Ahh, Lehr, been through there once, almost south dakota..
About an inch in the last hour...we'll see...
brb
So hotrod pini is going snowmobiling ..... clear the way
you betcha, BR!! LOL
Does the dog hell you drive?
help
I think I'll just let him run behind, BR...he needs the exercise! :)
Yeah, in about a minute you will be out of sight
...then again...maybe I should run behind...
Glad you are doing well, Pini
guess he'll just have to ride the inner tube that the others will drag behind. LOL
Thx, BR...good to be back :)
good to see ol' friends!
It is nice having you back, Pini
Sounds like the dog might be on his own snowmoblile..
Haven't seen cosdem around much lately..
I have to draw the line somewhere, JJ... ;)
Didn't he post somewhere he was having computer problems? Or wasthat someone else?
LOL...but dogs love rides!!
He's been on FB, but it could be on his smart phone..
that's right, JJ...he can ride...not drive! LOL
If I let him do that I'm sure he'll want to drive the truck next!
There was something on the news recently about dogs being smart enough to drive though
I'll keep that in mind...I think I'd rather be the one to rule this roost! LOL
me too.
Dogs probably wouldn't text and drive...
We can only hope, JJ :)
<-- not going to find out! LOL
No opposable thumbs...
what are the stats for the lone e please?
Time to sleep .... be well all
and hi jill, did the bobcats win?
Niters BR...
g'night, BR...good to see you!!!
hi Harp
good night, BR
eg4/7, eg4/6 and et6/18
hi harp
thanks, i meant the lone a?
No harp, they did not...valiant effort in the second half...
second column?
i was at a gig, just drove back from Missoula in a slushy blizzard, 20-25 mph the whole way
ag4/8 and ag4/6
yes second column
one is probably what you were driving home...LOL
hm....
i have 6 a's but still no 2nd row 2nd column
I think it's the ag4/6
i have an ag4/6
Awestruck, enthralled....
ag4/8
how many ag's are there?
6
maybe its the al4/4 then
i have an al4/4
there are 3 ag4/6's
the 4/8 might be off the middle of the triple A's
i have all the ag's and still no luck....
okay, how about a sea term; ap 5/12
my personal goal for the next 11 minutes....]\
try ac4/5...the high card in poker
My goal is to make it to flip
Yup, that's the one
thx JJ :)
Nope, I'm pretty sure now it's a nautical term, ap 5/12
Not for the lone a...
2nd row, 2nd column?
I'm stumped on that one myself, Nef
a + po 4/5
thx NEF!!!
ad5/12 maybe, an old saying, is that what you are missing, Nef?
ap 5/12 That word comes from there

adage
We may be discussing this right up to the flip
waiting for the flip, hope it is a big one
oops, what was I THINKING/.....
that would be the one I was cluing, harp
me three, pini. and hello again to all
duh, did I get it?????
the nautical term is the lone A btw
I'm not missing any A's, I was cluing, Pini. (I should go to bed I think; I'm probably not making sense)
