hey christine.. enjoyed your comments after the fact
whew!!!! what a nasty little grid! hello all. enjoying yourselves?
Everyone must behave: I don't want to come out there, and knock heads!
hi rose
hey flosey, christine, ruru, smores
Rururocks, the secret is like the answer to TV shows that offen - use the off button, or glide over the comments. Oh well
hi granny
that's my point exactly christine
Hello, all. I'm slogging away, have only 74 words, and only 5 are sixes.
some people forget that this is a game.. the title is Babble the Ultimate word game
hiya rose
I don't know what started the uproar - I came in about the time it got going, I read back in the comments, and there was no lead-up?
hmm....musta missed something
Well, as I said later, I occasionally clue when I find a good word, I use the clues given, and generally don't chat that much. But this evening !!!
not from me.. I was just defending myself
<----dazed and confused
oh, de4...did i miss something AGAIN? i never get to see the smoke and flames......
Smores, it was just a silly blow-up. And as we said, just glide over whatever offends you - unless it's hurtful to someone. But puns are just a silly play on words. I think that was all it was.
It was foolishness, but I think it'll blow over. I hope so.
np....lol...I reside in the state of Confusion quite often
so we have a language problem again? puns not being taken as such.....this is so silly.
and definately don't take things too seriously of offensively...sooo...Babble on!!
smores, working on the confusion...would just tipsy do?
But there wasn't anything said that could be misconstrued, nothing at all risqué.
uh christine.. it doesn't take much these days
*!* ta da *!*
yeah nan.. well done
wtg nan
Well when he comes back, we'll just carryon as usual (you be nice) and let it all settle down.
WTG NAN!!!!
good grief, ruru....what would these peeps say if they were here when you and i are going at it? LOL
wtg nan!!!
I don't have to be nice. I am nice. If he has issues.. they are really his problem
lalalala.....in my own little world....it's ok...they know me here......lalalala.....and have lots of chocolate....
:D smores
ty everyone -- any clues wanted?
lol...no thanks nan....way to early for me
no .. but thanks nan
see you tomorow then :)

goodnight smores
night smores, sleep well, hun
Hi Rose - bye smores :)
hey liz
Hi flosey - and anyone else!
Love your new flower flossy - liked the last one too!
thanks Liz
and hi
Hi there, flosey.
hi peach, how are you?
Hi gapeach
ooohhhh, peach here too, hey hun, how are you going?
Doing well tonight, flosey....and y ou?
Hi there, Lizlin and Rose.
glad to hear it
good ty, tired but want to finish this tonight - must settle on baking tomorrow
haven't even finished Christmas cake yet, have had to fruit soaking in brandy for quite a while tho
Going to be making good things for Christmas, eh?
yes, but the ones coming are not really sweet eaters
but have to have a few things ready in case of drop-ins, etc
I don't cook any more because of my hands but I've found a gourmet market close by that does up great gifts. I try to get some for the neighbors and friends.
Is anyone else finding this grid tricky?
lovely idea, and much easier when you have a great shop like that
This grid is a witch, Lizlin. Well, that is only my opinion.
Indeed, flosey.
Just got to half way - mind you, haven't been working on it the whole time!
yes Liz, I'm puzzling over na4 and 6, monkeys are tired trying
i don't cook anymore because i don't have an oven i can trust, no cooktop. just an electric hotplate( a single) an electric oven which is horrible, and electric frypan, vegetable steamer, horizontal grill.
I don't have them!
flosey, na4, term for grandmother
Wow! I love cooking but leave most of it to my hubby! The day to day stuff that is.
na6, sounds like the leader of nurses in a hospital
oh, now I see it rose, wow, how blind can I be
ty rose - silly to miss both of those!
thanks rose, again,
lol, liz, i adore cooking, but refuse to do any until the kitchen has been renovated.
hello, ladies, and gents, if any be present. :)
don't blame you rose
That was the first thing we did when we moved here. I've never had a kitchen like this!
hi rbud
we(read i ) have bought all the new appliances, incuding a double-bowl sink. they are sitting in the garage.:(
Hi there, rbud.
Rose, is your no-cook strategy working?
hey rbud.
Hi rbud
Obviously not!
oh, heck, we've been in this house 20+ years now, and things planned back then are still in the remodel stage... may never finish, sigh...
I love the double sink in kitchen, we built when we moved here so I was able to say what I wanted - and have a lovely big kitchen
my dishwasher has been sitting in the shed for 5 years, the washer and dryer sat for 7 before finally getting installed...
well the bathroom is nearly finished. think i will get the lounge and bedroom done next. mostly only painting and a bit of new furniture. then will have to plan an extended respite session for mother mac while the kitchen is done.
oh rbud, how frustrating
I guess we're a bit like that too! But the kitchen was a must. The previous one was awful and I couldn't live with it! And it was sooooo dirty when we moved in.
but just yesterday the planned heated sidewalk from the shop to the house was finally poured! it's beautiful.
Sounds like you've done a lot Rose :)
that sounds pretty awesome rbud :)
well, we've been here since '95 and the downstairs fireplace has not been finished - we use it, it's a closed thing in an inset - that's what hasn't been finished, use the stove a lot
lovely rbud
it will be wonderful if it works properly, no shoveling for Hubby's electric chair, yay!
That'll be life changing
super, rbud
sure will.
*sigh* have just seen 'the pianist' finally. don had a copy on dvd. it's so sad what the polish jews went through.
Fantastic film - Adrian Brody was amazing.
stars adrian brody....lol, you took the words out of my mouth.
Not just the Polish Jews though!
totally agree
My family was very lucky - my dad's family got to England in 1938 - my step mum was on the kinder transport! many were not so lucky.
how fortunate Liz
Just entered a brand of whisky as a laugh and it was accepted!
and there are some who are touting that the holocaust never happened. yeah, right!
Yeah, right! :(
My grandfather was protected by his secretary who told the Nazis that the family had just gone on holiday!
my ex's father was on the dunedin.
Brave lady!
brave indeed, what terribly tense times
We're so lucky to live now!
Chag Chanukah sameach!
we sure are Liz
hi Neil
And to you too, Neil.

Okay, I'll be honest. I did that on purpose for Annie's breakfast goodies. : )
I havent been to the boardwalk yet to see how bad the damage is. That's where I am headed now. Be back later.
I can imagine. Love good breakfast goodies
Molly, I love your cyber breakfasts. Always makes my mouth water.

hi all, help with bottom O pls
hi peri, I have one that is speaking publicly
ty sprite, nbt,nbs
bbl
bye peri
or4/4 babblet is the other
hiya dan :)
hi sprite!
Hoot man, another Scottish word.
yay for Scottish
I think I found me a sherlock holmes word (af5)
stats for the V's? hiya Moll
vr4/11 is one
wow I would never have even tried that. tx!
yvw :) It is close to dutch, that is why I tried
it is related to the dutch word, that has an U after the vowel. It means woman and is Old or Middle English.
The other v is va5/16
is that a common word, Molly?
Not to me.
ok, thanks
got it. New for me.
ah, that is a hindu word. Enable is so omnilinguistic, lol
6 le4... I guess that X is totally ornamental.
Hello friends
hi Mr Bob
fireflies. Friendly grid indeed, as Annie said. Bye all, have fun.
my first word of the day is le4, shows where my mind is ;)
good morning everyone:) is it just me or do you find that facebook edits away your comments at will?
even though it is not a hate post of full of foul language just some idea that buck the status quo norm in certain countries?
but anyways, lets see how this grid looks
Happy Sunday!
howdy hego
: )
how hard is the grid today?
not sure, just getting going on it
medium
unless you
unless you're BR. lol
well gremlinn and crew at the flip most likely did the thing in 8 minutes
right!!
But i am just an ordinary mortal.
i shall check...
Good day kids!
does anyone have stats for the V?
HI Scrabs!
va 5/16, vr 4/11
No MLF
Buon giorno mia amica!
Hi Ken
buon giorno!!
TY, Ken
first posted fireworks was cybernan in a time of 1 hour and 8 min lol
scwabby!
ty
hi scrabble
r
I finished the newspaper so now I am here.
I can see me doing that at 1 AM. NOT!!!
well good to see you Scrabs.
I do the dame thing on sunday.
papers, then Babble.
T in the first column stats please?
I stayed up for the flip (1am for me) twice and it wasn't worth it--total lunacy in the chatlog.
i havent been at too many flips lately been going to bed before them
I am sound asleep at that time
I agree Scrabs. Everyone rushing to be "first" at finding things. This is not a competitive game for me.
it is a different babble that is for sure.for the most part stats only no clues and a full out race to finish first
i hvent finished a grid in forever and ui probably never willl
havent
I don't like competitions.
Too much pressure.
agreed
I prefer to be in the REM zone at the flip.
I don't care if I finish or not.
me too Scrabs.
Never had the need to "beat" anyone.
Maybe I'm just lazy. lol
i dont need to beat anyone i just would like to be able to finish a grid once in a while but...
Nope, Hego, you are mature enough to not let your ego interfere with enjoying life.
No Hego, big difference between lazy and non-competitive. And what Scrabs said.
MLF you can alwys get help to finish.
Enjoying, yes that's the thing for me.
A group of us on our block are having a progressive dinner tonight and I am making corn bread and a salad. I think I will make one batch of corn bread with corn in it. Sound ok?
sounds great!
I'll be right over!
And I will have salad ingredients in separate containers so people can create their own salad.
sounds like a fun thing to do.
Appetizers at the Sherman's at 6, dinner at the Reed's next, then dessert at Gary's home.
neat!
I joined the group in August. We go out for dinner every other Friday. Local restaurants, nothing fancy. Just dinner and chatting. No dessert. All nice people, very nice.
Good for you, Srabs.
No strong egos, everyone is nice and easy-going.
you're lucky to put such a nice group together.
Uh, oh, I am having a hot flash. BRB. I must run outside for a few minutes.
Poor Scrabs!
what is a "progressive" dinner?
if you read what she said you will get it.
you have a different course at each house.
best keep it under 12 courses then or you are driving all night:))
lol
I am back. It's really nice out.
I have never done it.
I had never heard of a progressive dinner before this.
lol scrabby just this morning i ask my beloved if it was hot and cold enough for her today
Scrabs my daughter is going through the same thing.
funny Crossy
she keeps sticking her head in the freezer.
I started menopause in 11/03 when my ovaries were chopped out. I still get hot flashes.
have her butt pointing at the warm stove and the head in the ice box
my mrs had a radical hysterectomy 5 years ago
We feel bad for her, buts it's hard to keep a straight face.
I had the uterus chopped out 2 yrs earlier.
my, my, all this chopping.
the operation took 4 hours cause everything was stuck together..she still pays the price for it
It is a strange experience, to suddenly have a body temp of 108.
You have rough surgeons up north.
Adhesions, Crossy? Me too.
Progressive dinners are fun.
i imagine so!
Poor Scrab and Elegant.
everything was just stuck in there scrabbs and now things pull and tug painfully
At least we won't have snow or rain as we walk from one house to another.
and there is a 3cm mass
Same for me, Crossy, especially on my RLQ. Doc offered another operation to trim away adhesions but I had enough surgery--4 in 5.5 yrs.
Will they remove it?
What kind of mass?
they will not go near my mrs, says it is too risky with everything tangled up in there
i think it is calcified intestinal coating..i think
Hmmmm.
Maybe a calcified peritoneal cyst. I had a peritoneal cyst removed last time.
i have been dazzled with so much nonsensical dr speak about it the last 5 years,it could be made of rainbows and i would not know
but they refuse to go in
now all they talk about is pain management
All of my optional body parts have been removed--tonsils, adenoids, gall bladder, appendix, lady parts.
poor thing..
Poor, Elegant, I know what she has gone through.
lol, scrabby slims 20 pounds the hard way!
But my pain is not bad at all, more annoying.
how goes the diet Crossy?
when my mrs turns wrong or eats hard to digest food it happens, this painful tugging
diet is shot to hell hego.been too many life crisis issues last 2 months on both sides of the family
too bad.
I've gone through a little growth spurt myself in the last 2 mo. Instead of coming home from work and biking or hiking I end up in a hot bath reading.
i know..an excuse it is,but when you are running from ill or dying family member to another, you do not give a rats behind about the caloric count of a dinner
ra5/12--chemical found in some homes
ty scrabby
hi all. is there a clue for ap6 please
stress does put pounds on some of us.
Hi Medusa
Brit spelling of pause in breathing
wow! ty. new to me.
i keep trying apnea varriants and not getting it
Put a vowel in 4th place
When a medical article is written in UK English there are many variant spellings.
got it..was my last varriation ty scrabbs
must go. Hagd All!
tc hego
ttfn hego
bye!
indeed scrabby the middle of words full of oe eo oea and the like
Bye Hego
got it! thanks
I am stuck--not seeing anything.
this grid is showing it,s teeth early
I just used my no6 to find no6
note to self..nooner is not in the grid, stop trying to enter it and enable does not take it anyways
Mom is on the phone, crying because she misses Dad so much.
:((
They met 55 years ago today, in Oakland, Cal.
The exception to the general rule that one should use an apostrophe to indicate possession is in possessive pronouns. Some of them are not a problem. “Mine†has no misleading “s†at the end to invite an apostrophe. And few people are tempted to write “hi’s,†though the equally erroneous “her’s†is fairly common, as are “our’s†and “their’sâ€â€”all wrong, wrong, wrong. The problem with avoiding “it’s†as a possessive is that this spelling is perfectly correct as a contraction meaning “it is.†Just remember one point and you’ll never make this mistake again: “it’s†always means “it is†or “it has†and nothing else.
Good lesson, BR, but you are preaching to the choir here. I think most of us are grammarians.
de5/20 please
tyvm, BabbleRabble: it's a relief to know how to spell its or it's.. hi everyone
de + opp of peace
Hi Aloy
thanks scrab.
hi aloy
tyvm, Scrabbler.. needed that one.. do4 to 18 and hit a wall
56 left for me and I am teasing words out.
special occasion this morning.. the tree swallows arrived to swoop down and snap up emerging little white dipterans.. tried to capture the event on camera but swallows fly too fast.. on the other hand, I did capture one of the flies in a jar and will try to id it.. this emergence/arrival of the swallows happens every year, kind of magical as you stand in a cloud of swallows
Thanks, Scrabbler .. so nice your opinion is not universal.
Cool.
swoop, swoop.. all around you.. you can hear them snap at the insects and you can feel the flap of their wings, but somehow they don't run into you
Pax, Aloy
we get barn swallows that do the same aloy.if you get to close to their nest they swoop right down close enough to ruffle your hair but never touch you
I think most Babblers pay attention to grammar and spelling.
Pax, BabbleRabble - are you ok? staying warm or are you too having an unusual heat wave?
This winter is another not like those of old.
crossy, I had barn swallows actually pull my hair and that of the dog's too.. up north.. I know I don't have smooth shiny hair, but geez
nesting material?
Yes, hairs are used in bird's nests.
How is your hockey term doing, Aloy?
the materials gathered for nesting can be quite varied and unusual
team
you mean my new toof, BR? installed (-:
I thought the swamp had frozen over.
I am reading a book by a Univ of VT Biology professor, Bernd Heinrich, called Winter World. All about how animals adapt in winter.
oh.. lol.. now I remember.. the hockey team disbanded when the cold front left.. glad to see them go
I've read that Scrabbler, it's great
taking notes on book, ty
I will read another of his books next--The Trees of My Forest. He is a prolific writer.
Hello, mael. How is your moniker pronounced?
Your icon fits with the winter book, Mael. How birds deal with winter temps is amazing.
I say mah-el, but I just made it up :)
Have you read any of Heinrich's other books, mael?
scrabbler, I can't look at tree buds without amazement since reading that book
Yes, I am watching the birds and squirrels more closely now, and I miss my chipmunks but know they are in torpor.
name this famous jet company that had its cutting edge plane mothballed and buried quietly by the us government and they were built right here in ontario
mael: http://tinyurl.com/atbaelu
I read summer world, which was just as good but not as fascinating
Fascinating, BR
the nose section of one is in a museum and believed to be the only part left
Not Lockheed-Martin
nope
yeah, BR, I figured out afterwards that it was a given name. I stole it from Tolkien's Sindarin back in high school
diefenbaker killed it
could be Superman's sister
haha, it's true. Kal-el and Ma-el? :)
or mother, ma-el
last clue,built in malton ontario
what does it start with crossy?
it was the Avro Arrow http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avro_Cana\nda_CF-105_Arrow
oh, ok.. never would have guessed that one
brb.. laundry
I never knew that, Crossy.
Wind Chill-19°F (-28°C) ... brisk
yes indeed scrabbs.give it a read if you get time.there was a lot of smoke and mirrors and serect meeting going on the make this plane vanish
na6 please
i met one of the enineers late in his life up here in wasaga beach.he told me how they went through his own home to remove any materials relating to the project

The average CD can hold 74 minutes’ worth of music. That unusual length was determined by Sony’s president, who decided that a single CD should be able to contain the longest recorded version of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony.
cool!
nice to know, crossy!
Back from a call with a parent. I am on call this weekend. Car, your kitty is adorable! A Siamese? Name?
Siamese/gray tiger mix actually. Siblings are gray tigers. No name yet. Dylan is still trying to decide. I voted down "Fluffy".
i hope you know that siamese are very, very vocal;)
Just got word...."Buddy"! I love it!
though i do not know the gray tiger breed and the mix could and will alter things i am sure
Hiyas, kids! Very cute kitty, Car!
Hi Judi!
hi judy
hi Judi
There is a neighborhood Siamese that visit me often, on the front deck. I feed him and have named him Blue. I do not know who the owners are.
Buddy...good choice. Fluffy...not so much.
I was mistaken...it was actually "Fuzzy"...still not a winner.
Of all the kitties that I have had in my life...this is the first ever like this!
Give him a nice boy name.
fluffy is a po6 name
Compromise: Buzzy.
"Buddy" is it..and I love it!
that's what they call marion Berry ... buzzy
Sweet.
Hi ruru!

Be well, Judi
And I must take a hike while the sun is out. Bye, kids.

I came back to tell Molly my bad Christmas tree story. One year, my son and I waited too long to get a tree (this was in Miami) and, by the time we got it home, all of the needles had come off
Ruby, the first year my son and his wife lived together (before they were married) they paid 100$ for a Christmas tree. It was brown and dead in two weeks, a week before Christmas.
pa + lima, pinto, green or yellow b*** pa + a long period of time

hi jill!
((uusue))
calling the surgeon again, the infection is starting to spread along the incision, sigh
and of course the walk in clinic is closed today
sorry to hear that, sue
Of course, never when you need them....any increased drainage, pain or odor?
And how much spread?
it's spread maybe 1-1.5 cm, I didn't mark the bottom of it
and it's dark red and some drainage
no odor? or increased pain? or temp?
and is he still on an antibiotic?
Odor? (Gets queasy)
*covers molly's eyes*
I usually just lurk, but Sue, want to let you know you and Frank are in my thoughts. I just went through a knee replacement with DH, one complication and a second surgery, can't even imagine going thru what you and Frank are. Blessed Be.
Well, uusue must have gotten a response from surgeon, and I must get back to 'round to it" list. Nice to 'meet' you kamanjah!
Thanks Jill :)
indeed, the surgeon wanted me to do some minor surgery and then come in tomorrow. This is one heck of a learning experience.
However it looks a little better now.
Sigh.
and hi, Kamanjah, I definitely appreciate the support!!
You're welcome, Sue. Hang in...
Hi Sue. How are you? I believe you have been having problems with your own health too.
Wow, Sue is doing surgery now. Who knew?
yes, sounds really scary, poor Sue
Hi All
hi hego
Hi Chrissie
Sue should go to the ER.
only just found Christmas in the grid :)
really?
no4
aha!
and finished !!!
my thoughts go out to sue and frank (((sue and frank))) wish you were here, frank would be taken care of right away
she should not have to do surgery, none of you should have to
well other than the doctors of course lol
yaa for chrissie!
Sue, if you are still around I'm still holding you and Frank in my prayers (along with most other babblers). I wish you strength
she should take him to the ER of the hospital that did his surgery.
i imagine in the states the insurance is the thing.if she does not have it for frank
ty crossie. Any one want clues before I go?
firewords - ap6 that ends with 3 vowels was my last
they have to take care of him Crossy, they can't turn him away.
yaa for dan!!
i am sure, but at what cost?
congratulations dan
WTG and Hi Dan!
i know they will not turn him away.but at what cost?
there will be a charge but they don't have to pay right away or all at once.
hi hego & tx all
And infection can be serious.
actually, they did have one turn them away early in this, she was ready to pay cash but they said "we do not work that way"
i know it can
I agree that it is a terrible system.
sigh..sorry just gets me going, she should be able to bring frank in 7 times a day if that is what is needed without all this BS
and now it's become political. ugh!!
I agree Crossy.
political will not help.politicians make lots of money and can afford fancy polocies and cannot relate
damn typos well br can correct me.hell with it,do not feel like going back over my finger fumbles
I have no trouble getting you Crossy.
that is good hego:))
I speak Crossy-ese. lol
that is very good:)
: D
well,if they let everyone get stoned like in washington, they will not care about the health car.washington must be covered in a thc fog bank as we speak lol
care
and wedding rice too.
I might move there. ; )
i would as well but the health care sucks lol
true, true.
thc does wonders for arthritis and believe it or not asthma
as well as cancer treatments MS
etc
i have both of those. hmmm....
crohns,colitis
better than any t3 or oxycontin that is for sure and no nausea
yes
oxys are just plain dangerous
anyways i have preached about medical and medicine alternatives, maybe i should find a word or 2
crossy steps down from his soapbox
take a break.
now we can talk about bacon:)
YAY!!!
our bacon is better too! :PPP hehe
Virginia bacon is pretty good Crossy.
not the supermarket stuff.
Ooo, sorry. I was kind of joking about the surgery. I doubt it was that big of a deal. *Treads carefully to the PB to make holiday cookies*
i also go to the farm for my bacon
YAY!!! cookies.
Crossy we were fascinated by your egg farm.
you were?/ lol sorry! i misread.i thought sue had to do some work on the infection site.crossy better learn to wear his new glasses
I love farm markets and have a great one near me.
it is the only way to go hego.free range animals, organic fed.you can really tell the difference in chicken and pork .eggs laid that morning and home made meat pies
yes, I buy natural pork and chicken too.
our supermarket chicken has gotten so greasy no matter how you cook it,we will not buy it
or Perdue, the chicken torturers.
i do not knwo the why of it,i guess they dit around in boxes all day and it is mostly fat?
sit
so fat they can hardly stand.
so now i do not mind paying the extra for free range organic
much healthier for all.
and the eggs work out cheaper when you buy them by the flat.you get a dozen free
you must eat lots of eggs.
how do you keep them?
and they support a micro independant dairy and the milk still comes in glass pint and quart jars;))
We have that dozen free thing at our Amish market too. But it's too many eggs for just two people.
keep them?? lol they last 2 weeks
me too Molly
no need to worry bout eggs going bad here.breakfast for 3 every day and my baking
my nephew raises his own in the back yard.
i mean a cake takes 3 eggs,a yorkshire pud batch takes 3 eggs.they go fast
we used to raise our own hego, but it is a fair bit of work and not allowed inside larger town limits now
It's allowed here because not many people do it.
the egg farm we use supports 4 towns and the market they run,so all go there.it is sort of central 30 min drive for me
the mennonite ladies make the breads and dessert and meat pies..my god! i go in and blame them for making me fluffy
fluffy, I like that.
have 3 of their meat pies in the freezer now.a sweet pulled pork,a steak and mushroom and a herbed chicken..mmm
or husky if you prefer
no, i love fluffy. lol
I don't bake so much that I would use up that many eggs in baking. And we only have eggs for breakfast a couple of times a week. So a dozen a week works fine for two of us. I buy more if I'm going to bake or make something that requires a lot of eggs.
me too
I do treat us to the Amish eggs on occasion though. They are much better than store bought.
indeed each to their own.i bake twice a week and eggs are for breakfast in one form or another about 4 times a week.the other 3 days are my guilty pennance brekkies
did a batch of blueberry muffins the other day and will do some orange bread most likely tomorrow
have tons of mandarins, will use zest and juice from them
I would not fit through the door if I lived at your house Crossy.
secret is large brekkies medium lunch and very small dinner so you do not go to bed with a full gut.was a must with my reflux and apnea anyways
breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper
good plan
and since as you know crossy likes brekkies this works for me:))
tonight for example is some leftover sausage cut into small thin dollars, some corn and other veggies mixed with fried rice
Hey crossy. :)
And hego. :)
Hi Neil!
howdy neil!
lol, just talking food till words decide to show themselves in the grid again
:) Food is good.
the best!
lord help me i love good food;)
Who doesn't?
It is one of the great pleasures of life, for sure.
Definitely!
banana bread!! i have 3 large naners getting a tad overripe.that shall be on tomorrows brekkies menu:))
taking a break. bbl
i make them in the smaller bread pans so that way the edges get nice and crunchy and they are nice and firm for fresh preserves on top:)
tc hego

It took me ae4/4s to do grid, but I have one word le4/7 so here is a story that is ad 5/12ed with clues for my de 4/5 Babble friends. I wake up at da 4/9 every morning and le 4/5 into grid before I drive to work in the to 4/8 of Yonkers. I am aw 4/9 by babblers who are so de 4/8 at finding all of the words they're already finished when I come on. I babble until I have to get my fo4/7 out the do 4/5 and goto work ea 4/4ing a living helping kids le 5/10.Sometimes I wish I could stay in6/21s & babble all day. At no4/4 time, during lunch, I gl 5/14 the chog for clues and find more words. When I get home, I take my po 6/24 out for a walk and then I le4/4 on Lickety's list to help me finish the grid. Da /45 it! Hubby just walked in the do 4/5 and has ma 4/6 it known that he wants to sit do 4/9 at the computer. I fe 4/7 what he will do if I don't give him computer. I'm going to go watch the film One Fl4/11 Over the Cuckoo's Nest. I'll be back later on
LOL, Min, and thank-you! 53 to go
Thank you Min. Got several words from your story, as usual.
ty min.great story as usual!! i was just over half way and still needed 90% of the words in your story;))
thnx for your story min - gave me lots of words
Gran Mere, pecans and cranberries in oatmeal cookies are the best. It's my favorite way to make them.
used the cranberries but not the pecans - will need to try them
cranberry pistaccio biscotti with a white choc drizzle...so pretty for xmas
ohhh fresh oatmeal cookies..mmmm
Hi Molly. Trying to work the grid and ignoring the chat. oh my thanks for the chat. Carlee I like the idea of pistachio--I do love biscotti.
plain oatmeal... yummmmmm
hi gramma stiddy :)
I just wish we had a really good all purpose chat where we could send real things immediately.
Well. time to feed the puppy. Thanks for visiting.
if you want a no hassle prgram to send thing fast and up to 2 gig in size without worrying about chat programs use "we transfer" it is very easy
program
Yes, but does it send cookies, as that is what I think Gran Mere was talking about. : D
ahh no,it will not send oatmeal cookie sadly:((
nor boscotti :(
biscotti even
Hello carlee, crossy, stidg and molly...back for a few more...tree almost done
howdy jilly
biscotti are an italian revenge to get rid of stale bread sticks lol
Hey...I like biscotti!! Real homemade that is...
Is it just me, or does it take longer to decorate the tree every year?
<---Agrees about the stale bread sticks
It took forever to get the lights on....if we ever get a fake tree it'll be one with lights...plus I havea about a gazillion themes of decorations and of course..can't find the white snowflakes anywhere...
not here molly.once the boy got older we got a artificial tree 4 feet tall in a ceramic potted base.i string the mini lights in it permanantly and have a box of balls, one of ribbons, one of misc stuff and can whip it out of the box, stand it on an end table and have it plugged in and fully decorated in 15 minutes!
That's funny. I just send my son our annual RIGGING UP THE LIGHTS email and told him that some year I am getting a pre-lit tree.
*sigh*
had been one that said NO artificial tree - now we wouldn't have one if it weren't for it being pre-lit, take it out of the box - then enjoy adding the decorations
A table top tree sounds nice and easy, but none of my kids would come home for Christmas if I did that. They are funny that way. : )
I know, mine are absolutely stuck on all the traditions I foolishly adhered to...
What were we thinking Jill? If we had raised them on minimalist Christmas, life would be so much easier now. : D
lol they are funny that way? well then they can all come over one week and decorate the 22 foot blue spruce in the vaulted celing livingroom for you lol
LOL....well, on the other hand, it's nice that they have memories...
if it is adult kids we are talking about
If I could afford a house with a vaulted ceiling that would take a 22 foot tree, I would hire decorators and have cocktails while I watched them trim the tree.
the other tradition we started is every year since they were born we have bought (er um Santa bought) them an ornament. So now they have 26 and 30 after this Christmas
lol
hi jilly...and I like biscotti too... is YUMMY
The only problem I have with their ornaments is that they are still storing them here!
Have the two grandkids put up and decorate the tree and they love doing that - and remembering the decorations they've made over the years
I could have waited til #1 son came home next Sat, but...mom wanted the house all nice for him...BUT guess who is helping put it all away...
This grid must be in honor of Hanekkah...everything is read to the left...
Helpers are nice, Teach. My son helps with the heavy lifting and the "tall guy" stuff. Then he puts a few ornaments on the tree and the rest is up to me. : )
Yep, #1 son is 6 ft and 200#, he will be a blessing in putting things away...our storage room is overflowing...
These helpers are 14 and 6, but with the artificial tree it is quite doable. The older does the top and the younger the bottom to decorate - and they enjoy doing it
That sounds wonderful...I'm now convinced that I may never have grandkids...I'd love to have some to pass down our traditions..
hi again all@
all!
Hi uusue, what did doc say?
he had me poke around in it and drain it some more, and will see us in the morning
after I cleaned it up it didn't look quite as bad but it's still a lot redder than I would like
You should earn a nursing degree after this!!
I think so, Jill!
There can be some irritation, thinks like odor, temp and increased drainage that is less red &/or cloudy are real indicators
ok... back
hi sue
hi carlee!
Is he still on antibiotics? Maybe they should run a culture on the wound...
well, it is still draining but it is clear, so probably ok. Would be nice if it would heal, though.
no, antibiotics are done
:)
Then a culture is in order....just in case..
sorry about the medical details, everyone else :-)
Yipes, meant to post a warning before I started in...poor molly has probably fainted by now...
My apologies all....
meanwhile I have almost no words :-)
although I do have nbs, not that that's much of an accomplishment in this grid!
same sue.. no words... its ok
Yep, kinda eye popping watching tiles go black today..
:-)
Good morning :)
hi liz!
Back to find the final 27 words - they're not jumping out at me though!
Hi lizlin!
Wow Sue - are you sure you don't have a nursing degree????
do you have the lower right a? it's keeping me from nbt
Yes - just have to work out which one it is!

Thought that was on the left!
((stid))
Hi stid
that's ok, I needed those too, thanks Jill!
Jill, you're going to keep that "odor" thing up, just for my benefit, aren't you? : P
Well...time to do the fun part of the tree, the ornaments, then have 2 other rooms to decorate... *poof*
LOL....((molly)
((molly)) that is....re*poof*
Clues for fe 6 /30 pls, if anyone has it!

Surgical? Oh man. Catching up...
Oh my god. I'm so sorry to "hear" this?
Cancer? :(
stage 4 colon cancer. Life sucks sometimes.
Hello to my fellow babblers! How is everyone doing today?
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! Way to go!
hi min! We are good (or as good as can be expected)
nbt at last
uusue2, has Frank's condition gotten even worse recently?
no, min, just not getting better as fast as we'd like
Oh wow. I'm so sorry to read all this, Sue. :(
it's been quite the couple of months, neil
Sounds like it. :(
Oh so sorry to hear that. I know you take things day by day so how was his day today and your day as well?
low energy for both of us today, min, so mostly we rested. We did have a couple of visitors (two of whom walked the dog so that was good).
I rested A LOT today also. I slept until almost 2:00 today. I am fighting a cold. I just hope that I can go to sleep tonite
good for you for resting, min, that is very helpful in healing
and I am going to go do that myself now. See you all tomorrow!
Goodbye uusue2! I'll see you tomorrow in the chog maybe.
Hi Min. Sorry you're not feeling well. Hope you get some more good sleep tonight.
Hello MollyL! How are you doing? Welcome to the chat log.
I'm good, Min. Worn out from holiday decorating today. But the place looks festive, so the end justified the means. : )
Hi guys, any clues for na6 and the 2nd pa5?
nm, found them
Hello Somerset! How are you doing today? Welcome to grid
