Hi people.

hiya neil
hey Neil:)
hi neil! Got a bit of spare time?
hi Neil
Oh god. Could this grid be any smaller?
we are planning another trip to Europe instead.
I think there waqs a 35 once
Hi all! Weird tiny grid!!!!!
we've had a 31, neil
Hey ruru, Karen, jilli and flosey. :)
And nan. Haha, was 31 the smallest so far?
bye :)
Lickety says there was a grid with NO words
Nice photo, jilli. :) Your nose looks much better!
Huh?
How could there be a grid with no words?
random placement of letters, and nothing matched-up, I guess.
Unless maybe there was one with all consonants or something. Which might work in some languages.
Wow.
Nov. 2nd, but I don't know the year?
if it were all consonants.. it would be an iraqui grid
or a cab driver's name
I was thinking Czech or even Welsh maybe?
Ha. I think the longest place-name in the world contains more letters than these grids anyway.
so neil.. how's tricks?
What tricks? I'm not a magician. :P
ha
Well... so now what?
Are you on GT ru?
no.. i'm going to bed.. i'm beat..
but nice to see you pop in
Oh. Yeah, I'll be there pretty soon myself. Well not by myself... but y'know.

No ru. Pretty tired after the party last night... gonna pass out in a bit.
ok, will watch for it
*moves Ipad.. gets ready to tuck Neil in*
party?
Party, yes. :P
up late?
Concert and party. Didn't get home until around 3am so yeah. Late or early... in the morning.
ouch.
I can't do that anymore
Yeah. It's been a slow, quiet day.
i bet
I slept in today myself.. I was tired
Oh and our new upstairs neighbor has to be the most heavily-footed person ever.
We have nicknamed him "Stompy".
hate that
we had one of those once
No kidding. He can't walk quietly to save his life.
until I shot through the ceiling once
that shut him up
Haha. I'm sorely tempted, believe me.
it's so rude isn't it
Very. I had one up in Santa Cruz who couldn't shut a door, EVER, without slamming it.
It was like he just didn't believe the door was shut right unless it was slammed.
night all! my book and bed await!
well people in santa cruz tend to be stoned a lot
Nooo?! :P
night alta
Good night Karen... sleep well. :)
u2
Thanks. I plan on it.
*yawns*
*coughs*
You should take something for that cough, ru.
sorry.. I have this tickle in my throat...
Apparently.

hmm thinking so jilli, if you dont mind, please?
I don't know, ivesy -- sorry. I heard that jacula posted the 744 on BabAnon, though.
just ask, MissO
co5,16 and the en630, pretty please?
i see the list, but dont know if there is a way either. wish there ws would like to try that big one
have you ever tried jigidi.com? Great online jigsaws -- free and addictive.
that place is the best jili
or I'm a member of freerice.com good for trivia lovers and you help out the world food bank.
co5/16 -- add the sometime vowel to the co4
en6/30 -- en + the front of your head
what the... i tried adding that word a few times jilli... i think the grid hates me, it did it last grid too...
ohh <3 ty! sitting on three
<--- likes clueing
I'm going to keep you FOREVER Jilli if thats the case <3
as I said, just ask!
But soon, please!
hmmm... give it to me jilli! all the clues! :p well... maybe just the ap5/12, and the fa516 pretty please
ap5/12 is the sleep disorder, and the 6 is the brit spelling of it
oh lord, i should know that as a nurse, tho we learn the brit spelling first, american second...
thanks for that one jilli
fa5/16 -- fa + ***moured (in love)
what is that...Catalan word... what is this... sigh silly babble.
right, one to go, let me try this for a few minutes
ty for that fa jilli <3
yvw, MissO
Hi again - briefly! I didn't know the US spelling for the ap 5! tyvm :)
hi Liz!
yeaaaaaaaaaaah fireworks, thanks so much jilli<3 hi liz!
Hooray for MissO!!! What was that last word?
congrats on your fireworks Jilli and MissO - I've got 11 left - not sure I want to finish them today!
hehehe rationing out this mini grid, liz?
Not liking the rainy weather at the moment :(
thx liz
Same tomorrow I think, so something to occupy my time!
we had a snow flurry this morning -- all gone now
At least it's warm when it rains here!
MissO -- what was your last word?
Well, I guess she's gone and I need to do the same. Bye all!...*poof
Sleep well and keep warm :)
Ivesy you still here?
Heloooo ivesey
helo scouser... was trying to see if there is a way to play old puzzles
getting ready to head back to bed have to work later
Ivesey: if you are a Babble-Pro member you have access to all the archive puzzles. Each one has the grid there and below it the answers. You can copy those.
I did the 744 one on two train journeys as I knew I would not manage it all when I got home. (did it on paper)
ok ty.so u have to copy it, cant do it online
No there is no on-line as the puzzles close each 24 hours. You just have to do lists for yourself. Just like an ordinary crossword solution.
ty.. now back to bed , see if i can sleep.. hagd
I just love this game.
me too!! this one is disappointing
fireworks :)
well done sarah, good morning all
just arrived and seen that it's only 37 words today :-(
grrr. it's not accepting words...
fireworks
well, I suppose this means I have more time to wrap Christmas presents today than I thought I would :-) - bye
ap6, 21 and fa5,16, help required please...?!
ap6 = Brit spelling of ap5 (sleep disorder) - don't have the fa yet
Hello. fa5/16 - jillibus clued it earlier, at 1.21
fa5/16 -- fa + ***moured (in love)
hank you, cant get it though, have the sleepy one, coming back later...
co5,16 - any hints please?
Add sometimes vowel to the co4/5
Thanks Biltong!
yw :)
Fireworks.
Bye, have fun :)
Congrats and be well, Biltong
ty, and you too, BabbleRabble
hello?
Hi Ruby
Hi Molly
snow snow snow!
paca
sorry, dopey me. It has already been an insane morning, but at least I got a tow truck to come and take the new baby car for snow tires
it only took 5 phone calls
nothing can be accomplished here without multiple feints
Well, glad you finally got someone out to do the job.
I only have 6 more things to do this morning (already past) on my to-do list
I have that kind of day in store for me too. Busy, busy.
for me, it's all stupid little stuff and phone calls, all in French
can't go any place
Ah oui
on hold now with insurance company aargh
When I am put on hold I make a note of how long I'm made to wait. If it is unreasonable, I complain to the company. I figure that is the only way they know about such things.
that's a good idea, but with my language skills, that would be another couple of calls. Half the time, the French-speakers sound like they're Chinese!
it is all very difficult!
If I had it to do over, who knows? But here I am!
Maybe write a letter or send an email then.
I just hung up on the endless music, will try THAT one later
9 left. See you later, cookie

It was in pretty good shape. I was happy and surprised to see that. But Nathan's was destroyed. The sign they put up said, "After a 100 years a hurricane will not keep us down. We will rebuild."

Good morning everyone!

crossy !! *hugs*
{{crossy}}
{{sprite}}

lol crossy, ok. After I finish this one, I'll check!
and now it is time for crossy,s tidbit of the day!!
go for it, crossy
Russia's Sergei Avdeyev has traveled further than any other human in history, completing nearly 12,000 orbits of the Earth as a cosmonaut.
he certainly needed his space
Very cool!
imagine 12000 orbits in the old mir station..would be like living inside a industrial washing machine
tsk... trying a girl's name for the J and no luck... then finding a boy's name and it takes. Silly enable.
works out to 515,000 kilometres
sorry 515 MILLION kilometres
offspring just phoned from school.says all classes are cancelled as none of the school busses can run due to icy road conditions
Funny, sprite! Morning, all!
ouch, crossy
Hi Mimi!
howdy mimi
hiya Mimi :) *hug*
Oh dear.
{sprite}
Crossy!!
Is this the smallest grid ever?
nope
smallest is 26
23 I think
largest is 744
Really? Whoa....from the ridiculous to the sublime.
brb...
I have some cool pictures on my profile now in case anyone wants to check them out...think you'll enjoy.
if I remember correctly, drG has programmed Babble so that it will reject grids with less than 20 (or 25) words.
these small ones i do not care for as they are almost always just babblets and u-words
awesome, Mimi!
un-words
Glad you liked them, sprite. Don't know why the one is there twice.
i have never been able to use flickr properly and they have never seemed to be inclined to fix my problem'
I do like the little ones, they are usually nasty and challenging. Problem is, they are too small.
I'll be putting a couple of me with the kids when they were young in there, too. No pictures of me today....no one needs that image!
so for the last four year or so i have been displaying pictures for the accounbt associated with the name crosshare not crosshair
we do, Mimi. You are beautiful the way you are.
I had quite a time figuring out flickr. But apparently once you upload to flickr that you access from My Account, they automatically show up in the profile. Had to go to Dr. God to find that out.
Yeah---I'm beautiful on the INSIDE....the outside needs plastic surgery.
Now that my looks are gone, I must settle for being colorful.
Mimi, nonsense. Beautiful inside and out. Maybe not according to the magazines, but trust me, they are crazy.
It's difficult transitioning to the way I look now. I used to model and was considered a beautiful woman and now...NOT. But I'm glad I never neglected my brain and personality...they keep me going.
I simply refuse to believe you are no longer beautiful.
Thank you, dear...you are truly kind. Be right back.
You are an excellent photogragher, MimiCat.
<--- not being kind, just sayin'.
hi BabbleRabble, am glad to see you.
does anyone have the other 6? I have en6.
ap6/21
thanks pabtrek, and hi :)
hi sprite and you're welcome
there it is. Down to 7, lol.
Wish I could take credit for those pics, BR, but got them from various sources and friends. I love unusual nature pics. The one rather stark one is sunset at the North Pole.
clue needed please for the ap6/21
The "long road" picture is a road leading into Monument Valley here in Arizona.....VERY spiritual place....Navajo land.
This one does not even rise to the level of a puny grid.
Hi Boysaway, snoring disease
thanks
true, BabbleRabble. If they are this size, I think we should get 3 of 'm.
Classic rock is nice ... any Kingston Trio or Brothers Four?
I would prefer ten
I could live with ten
Still -5°F
brrrr
Good morning all, it's 20 here BR, do you have snow?
hi Jjill :)
Jilly!!
Just a little.
((mimi))
We have just enough to put us in the Christmas mood, just over an inch or so
Going to be in the 70's here in Phoenix....boring but pleasant.
((sprite))
we are having typical dutch weather... lots of snow and hail and wind... and then rain. All is gone, it is gray and very very wet.
Will keep you warm in my heart, sprite.
I am of the mind set to have snow, then cold. We here now get the snow, then rain, then ice :(
Is the ice thick enough for you to play hockey, sprite?
aw Mimi, that is so sweet :)
no way, BabbleRabble. The ice would never be thick enough for ME to play hockey.
Wish I still had a big house so I could invite everyone here for a vacation!
LOL, sprite.
wouldn't that be fun, Mimi :)
Several of us are trying to plan a get-together in the Spring---any chance you could get over here, sprite?
The main event is the first concert of the new Fleetwood Mac tour in Columbus, Ohio on April 4.
Well, it's off to work...bb all hagd!
I am afraid not... would be too expensive to buy a ticket, I think. And not sure I would be ready to try a voyage to the States. France was quite an undertaking :)
bye Jjill, have a good day at work and a pe5ful evening later on.
Bye, Jilly!!
If it happens, will take lots of pictures and post them.
lovely :D
final one, a C5.
and there it is. Fireflies. Tiny fireflies.'
Good going sprite!
At this point, I'd settle for regular flies.
roughage for the flies
yeah... see, I am an optimist. If they don't flame by themselves, I am willing to put fire to them.
*lights a match*
I simply must be satisfied with low expectations, it seems....even on this small grid.
first sign of ending up as a psychopatic mass murderer... burning flies.
Mimi, the small grids are often the nastiest. Don't feel bad if you have no idea where to find another word... the tiny ones are like that.
Glad I'm not competitive or ambitious here!
I only had trouble with the first thirty-five .... the rest were a breeze.
LOL, BR.
lol
not many compatitive players here... most that are are playing at flip time nowadays.
ok... anything I can do to help?
i am not getting the ap6 sleeping disorder. i got the ap5 version of it....
eieios, you need to insert another vowel for the 6. 4th place in the word.
got it, thanks!
I lost some sleep over that word
yvw :)
as long as it kept you breathing, BabbleRabble...
Perfect grid for my busy day. See you all tomorrow!
Hi and bye, Bzz!
hello Bea, well done, and bye
Am going to try again later....just not seeing them right now. Bye all....{{sprite}}
I guess I'd better go and find something else to do ;) Bye all, *hugs* for today and I wish you all a pe5ful evening.

First Peter Gabriel was shocking them, now 2Bit is stumpting them.
it's upsetting isn't it?
my greataunt Ina embroydered her county square of the official Mississippi State quilt
Wow, that's cool jmcnrick! I'll have to google the quilt now
haha i doubt it is on the internet this was in 1976 or so
Hey they have pics of Presidents from the 1800s jmcnrick.

Hi all!
Well alot of different quilts came up when I googled it.I do not know which one is the right quilt though jmcnrick.

Fireworks!
Today there are 37, marty

hi folks
♪Locusts nipping at their noses ♫
thank you...where did you find that info?
welkster!!!!!!!!!
For the first week or two after you join you get the stats, Marty, after that you have to go pro to get them
Oh! Thank you again!
ruuuuuster :)
Pro is a one time fee of $14.95, about the biggest bargain on the Internet
oh guess what - we had dinner again with the pinot noooooor people! agh!
you did?
you like to suffer I guess
Hi welki !
^5 with sue - one of the best $15 i've spent - even with the exchange rate!
What's the matter with Pinot noir people?
you guys didn't get the discount?
sue, they're ~nouveau~ everything. and experts, too
they fancy themselves oenophiles (or whatever wine folks are) - me, i'm more of a justin wilson wino
Ah, so it takes a lot of Pinot noir to make them bearable
i was designated driver
i hate wine snobs
Oh, dear
i'd hate them less if they knew what they were talking about
If they say nooooor, they are a boooor
i don't hate them. i just can't stand the pretentiousness
ruins all the fun of wine to make it snooty
oh it's all snooty - the house is snooty, the kids are snooty, the restaurant is (awful) snooty - i'd bet that if i got them to the lake and opened up a bottle of fireball and chilled a case of beer, they'd be a whole lot more likeable
if it wasn't about being (hahaha billy crystal) impotent, i'm sure they're okay
You are bad, welki :-)
no, i was good. very very good :)
we went from placid to flacid
flaccid
:D
on the tail of the last two dinners, i cancelled the next two business luncheons (although i went to one on thursday that was okay - all schmooze, no booze)
yeah, that's my lake! Lake Flaccid!
I imagine all the rubber boats are deflated on that lake
no need for rubber boats - but there is a fly called the STIMULATOR that might help
You guys are VERY bad :-)
you've heard of ling cod.. well.. in that lake they're called limp cod
Talk about a cold fish...
haha
this is what a yellow stimulator looks like: http://tinyurl.com/ca7tdz4
freshwater shrimp
Not sure i want to open that in public...
sue, it's a legitimate flyfishing fly
is it spanish?
im here to clue you my loves
we have burbot here, ru - some call it ling cod (but i don't agree) - it's delicious
<---Listens for HARUMPHS from lurkerville
I know, just kidding
i could catch peacock bass with a spanish stimulator
However I am going to go home now, see you all tomorrow!
and that was funny on an unintended level - at least to me :)
sue, have a good night's rest and please give frank a hug from your alberta pal
cone y
hi guys
* heading to pb *
hi pini.
nice entrance
hi pini - nice to 'see' you!
you were hare-dly here
do lurkers really harumph?
I don't know. It's the only haughty sound I could think of though.
good evening all - late start for the day, but glasd its small

hi molly, hi teach
hi WV

hi welki, nice to see you again, too :)

jmc!
hi welki!
hi wv
jmccccccccc!!! I MISS YOU, GIRL!
best haughty sound: ahem!
i is sorry i has been . . . sick sorta. . . and busy . . . and down in the dumps trying to neaten them up
beside all these teeny-tiny grids are not conducive to chat
are you on the mend? you know, i could fly east and we could have a **recuperative retreat**
Yes but harumph makes me imagine people looking down their noses.
yes i had the leak in the furnace fixed so i is fixed too
**thinking that a jmc/welki r.r. would do d.c's economy a good turn**
you can always fly east and "recup" with me
now my cat is acting weird. . . sigh. . .its always something!
i need to take holidays - i've got too many, they say
Whats in the cups?
jack, of course :)
of course! haha
but for you molls we will gets guiness
mmmm .. i love guinness
well come holiday with me. . .warmer here if nothing else and may we could pry molls out of her hidey hole
Guiness all around! *sneaks jack into guiness glass*
*pours a black and tan*
could we go to ocaquan?
<--Is more of a lager girl
my irish sil-il won't drink black and tan as a political statement
sure i haven't been to ocaquan in an age although this is not the best time of year for it
*looks in fridge for lager*
when dinosaurs roamed the earth, i bought the nicest stannard chimes there. now that i live in a city, i can't (won't) use them!
how about old town? is the torpedo factory still there? the fish market?
bless you my child. . . i cannot believe all the people who have chimes on their porches in the city!
Old Town is awesome. And yes, The Torpedo Factory is still there.
(it drives me batty listening to other peoples' chimes - especially when mine are tuned)
so they hang, un-chiming in the basement and garage
i was sitting in my car waiting for a friend in harrisonburg va and the wind chime up the hill was driving me nuts
i have wind chimes in my basement. . . clay representations of legal stuff one of my sisters gave me eons ago
ugh. there should be a bylaw. that and the stinky-fish bylaw.
i hang them over the clothes dryer
no no they would rather regulate whether people can have their a/c on with the door open in DC
i have a tiny set on a magnet heart that i hang on the stove hood at the trailer
well i really must be going. . . must get up at 4 am to take sister to hospital for minor surgery. . .
hahaha - the longest chime is about four feet long on one of my sets - it's big ben (the others are a blues scale and a japanese scale)
*waves at pini and welki and molls and everyone else handy*
g'night jm - i'm out of here, to *g'night all*
i hope to hear them some day welki. . . when i get brave enough to cross that damn border again. . .
bye all!
door is ALWAYS open, jm

Hello babbleland! Done decorating, now relaxing before bedtime...congrats to all grid winners...
I'm over a month late finding out, since I don't chat much here any more and I've been neglecting my duties as a BabAnon admin/moderator, but I've just found out that our lovely Hetty has died. May she rest in piece and find the perfect Babble grid in Heaven.
I meant 'rest in peace'. Sorry about the typo.
The grid today was a real disappointment when I first saw it, but didn't take long to do. Just as well, since I had lots to do, too.
I know, so very sad....but she's in a better way now
You would be proud, I did this one without Lickety...but I bet my time wasn't even close to yours...
My time wasn't that fast, Jillyjill, since I left about 9 words for later.
I think the worst part of teeny grids is no one much is on...not much chatting..
But I am proud that you went 'naked/listless'. x
*covers up her nakedness* ;)
Yes, when I used to chat on here, I found that a disappointment, too.
Lol - Jilly. It's chilly here in UK - not the best time to be naked.
Did a little before work, then finished when I got home. Probably about an hour total.
I know...lately the chog has been a little tense for me...easier to ignore with bigger grids
Nor here.... a balmy 35
Jillyjill - I'm hopeless at remembering people's real names and so h ave no idea if we're Facebook friends. If we are, you will have seen how my Mum and her friend saw The Naked Rambler doing what he does when the temp was 3 deg C here last week.
After being let out early from a prison sentence gained up in Scotland, he got arrested here last week, but has been let go again, despite refusing to wear any clothing other than a pair of socks for his court hearing. lol
We are FB friends. But with the new newsfeed I sometimes don't see things from people...will go check, imagine a chuckle will be found
I know he is pursuing him human right to be naked but I do have to ask myself if he has a mental problem after 18 prison sentences AND choosing to be naked in such cold weather.
Jillyjill - send me a PM on FB to say 'hello' to remind me of your real name. x
As my hubby would say.."Major shrinkage"!
Will do, just went to your page, quite the story, also liked the condom pix!!
LOL! Yes! That's what my Mum said. I asked her if he was wearing a hat and she told me she hadn't noticed.
I bet not!!
Ah, yes, the condom pic - the Waitrose shelf arranger who obviously goes to parties unlike those most of us attend.
We must run in the wrong circles...teehee...
I'm not signed into FB right now, but will check in with you later.x
I always say that 'someone' needs to do a reverse directory document on our FB Babble Community page...
I'm 55 years old. I love the man I'm with and wouldn't really relish the idea of an orgy or a swinger's party. Having said that, I never really fancied that idea back in the 70s either. Can't speak for The Swinging 60s, 'cos I was just a child then.
Lol, re the dictionary thing.
Same for me, BUT, I do admit to some hot tubbing and sunbathing sans clothing
Got bad news today, if you can stand another rant against our badly broken health care system.
Don't talk to me about topless sunbathing! There's a video of me in Portugal back in the 90s, shot by my now ex-hub and his Dad where my two kids are finding it very funny to splash cold water on Mummy's bare boobs.
Jillyjill - what bad news?
My body was not in sans clothing shape in the 90's...
A very good friend and coworker whom I have worked with for 24 years was diagnosed with liver cancer. Has been on our Federal Medical Leave Act which gives one three months. She has only been able to work one or two days.
She was told today that her leave was up, even though she has vacation time left, she no longer has a job or health insurance...sucks big time
Oh, liver cancer is never good news. So sorry for your friend.x
Well, they got the cancer and she is two weeks out from returning to work...just she is supposed to get a liver transplant. Now no way to pay for it..
What happens there when health insurance runs out? Do people get left to die or do they receive inferior/cheaper treatment? I can't imagine how doctors, having taken the Hippocratic Oath, can square leaving anyone given less than their best to die. It makes no sense and makes me sad that profit overcomes humanity.
Well, at least with the much maligned obama care, pre-existing conditions cannot be held against you for a new company, but it is expensive!
Surely, if someone leaves their liver for someone else to gain life from after their death is it the DUTY of any doctor capable of carrying the operation out to do it.
What you've said makes me very glad that, ailing though it is, we in UK do still have our wonderful NHS,
I have friends and relatives (and many babblers) that live in Canada, I know what this country needs is socialized medicine. This should not be a business! I absolutely detest insurance companies and pharmacuetical companies!
It's struggling under modern strains for sure, but it's still working, albeit a lot more slowly than it used to.
So, people have to wait for awhile for an elective procedure...that's infinitly better than people going without needed treatment
Jillyjill _ I couldn't agree more!
There are some organisations that should not work on a profit theory - health care is one of them.
I'm off now. See you next grid. xxx
I so agree!! Well, I suppose I should head off to bed. It has been very nice to have our chat tonight! Thanks for listening to me!!
It's nice to have a proper chat with someone. xx Sleep well!
Herro
Herro helinfelnarrady ..
Hows it going?
Not bad ..
I am going to ruin my cat's day today. I am going to take her to the vet for nails clipped and hearing check
How do you check a cat's hearing - open a can of tuna in the next room?
Torg she hears that but you stand behind her and clap and nada
Maybe she just doesn't care ..
Well she isn't in pain but her ears make squishy noises when rubbed. So if it can be fixed we will fix it and hope that her temper changes. If she is deaf then she is just going to be cranky till the end of her time
"Somebody's clapping? Meh. That's not food .."
What I mean is her ears do not twitch and cat's ears twitch with sound around them
I know. Just being flip ..
Thoug yoou do have it right - food move like lightening human talking meh
off and going
hello everyone -- bigger than 37 tonight, I hope :)
