Really strong coffee or excedrin migraine (it has caffeine) might help, hurshy. I used to get them all the time.

i take zolmitriptan( generic name)/ zomig ( trade name). usually no pain meds needed. and they don't leave me drowsy.
Take the hydrocodone before it gets any worse...the sooner you take a pain reliever, the more likely it will get rid of it...if you wait, the headache gets worse and then you're in more trouble.
i get the auras and wavy lines and lose my vision
mine are mild, and no auras
... and that's just when I've been drinking..with the headaches :D
the other thing i used to do was take 3 x aspirin...just the once at the start of the migraine. himself has been trying it out this week...he hasn't had to progress to anything stronger....and no vomiting...always a plus.

I found sugar, both too much and lack of, got me. Took me a long time to connect coffee, colas and donut/pastry stuff at the office during the week, then none on the weekend to the headaches.
Don't use the heat for it, hurshy....just the cold. The heat will make those vessels open and get the throbbing going again.

Also, msg is a killer for me. Read "In Bad Taste: The MSG Syndrome" and you will find it is in so many things, but not labeled as MSG, sometimes just "flavoring" or "natural flavors". Natural, my ass!

Yep----it's the tannins in the wine, not the alcohol, that cause the problem. Can also have a problem with vinegar and olives...there are lots of references to food/migraine connections online. Now I really am gone.....Good luck, hurshy.

i try so hard to eat breakfast because all the things about how it helps keep weight off. . . i just can't do it. . .
here,breakfast is THE meal of the day.i have always followed the creedo of : eat breakfast like a king,lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper,that way i never go to bed with a overloaded stomach
Also, people who eat dinner late are less likely to eat a big breakfast in the morning, or say say the nutrition people.
It's probably for the best, since we have a big dinner with extended family in the afternoon anyway. No one's gonna starve!
my dinner time varies from 6 to 10 so . . . and i was that way even when i was a child and supper was always at 6

the great thing about the Patchogue Theatre her is that it's 5 minutes from home. It's a restored 1920s theater with about 1,000 seats, I think.....very nice place to see a show

Why do they make child-proof bottles of cough syrup so even adults can't open them? I had to ask DH to open it for me; but I needed to take off the plastic seal for him to do it because it wouldn't break. HE had to exert the force to "push down and turn cap" because I wasn't strong enough!

Kale salad is good, especially if you put the dressing on and let it sit a while, it softens up as it marinates.

i wouldn't bet on her being clean though. she was addicted to pills before and i'm sure she's still using, we can never believe her when she says she's stopped
depending on the fractures on the face, hopefully she won't need any operations.my daughter had fractured eye socket behind the eye and also the bone around the front of the eye, but didn't need surgery as they said it would heal on it's own so hopefully she'll be the same dorens
they were suppposedly worried about her losing sight in the one eye, lil. but this is all third hand so i don't really know particulars. i did see a picture of her though.. :(
oh, I'm sure she isn't "clean" as in drug free, Dorens. I'm just thinking that they probably know what drugs she has on board now (unless she has someone bringing extra drugs in to her; which isn't very probable

i think once the bruising and swollen parts go down it doesn't seem so bad.i have pictures of the bairn with blue and then purple swollen eye that she couldn't open for weeks and when she did she looked like a devil child as it was bright red, but i will never forget how she looked
