Im just starting
Me too

I keep getting small freeze up on grid then it quits for a few minutes goes fine for awhile then repeats itself
Hi glant
morning Giantarell
Me too - won't accept words
at 8.15 my time (about 3 min utes ago) it always misbehaves for a minute or two.
same here
and 3 hours later it usualy throws a tantrum and refuses to play ay all for a few minutes.
its 3:18 am here
That's weird glant - I'm not often on at 8.15 UK time (5.15 here)
5.15 pm that is!
oh, just found the famous French cheese.
At least the 9 jumped out easily today :)
I don't have that yet.
Do you want the stats?
i have the stats thanks, just haven't done the second run through of Ns yet.
np
Fs finally finished
WTG
Ns neautralised - and got the 9
Looking for the final b!
b's blasted!!!!!
i have all Bs, do you want a clue?
Have it now - girl's name!
ah
It might have another meaning but that's how I recognise it!
re6/18 - odd one - sounds like to give yourself guns again but with an extra e as 2/3 letter and a different consonant at the end
That is a weird word - I worked it from your clue, very easily. Thanks.
ri6 - sounds like more ribs but only one b
ty again!
spent ages looking for the ta6/7 - places to go gte a drink LOL
Great clues :)
ti 5/6 - bones
I would like fever though!
Ah! Didn't know that plural.
it's the latin pl
fever?
I just keep seeing it but I know it's not there! My phantom I guess.
i had a couple pf phantoms but when i typed them in - just in case - they were actually there LOL
i just couldn;t see the routes they were taking through the grid
A bit like I'd like Brer to be a word, as in Brer Rabbit!
i tried that one
Good thing you checked out the phantoms!
tr5 - to go wandering or on a jourey, minus the last letter
fireworks
gyess I'd better go to work now
Congrats Glant. 50 to go here! But time for a break I think.
Congrats, Glant!!!!!
Have a good day :)
although i can't summon up much enthusiasm LOL
Hi Peach, and ty

I am sure you will jump through the hoop gracefully. What sort of job is it?
( front desk at a local hotel... is evenings, weekends, midnights... but i still have the law office stuff too so YAY... money!)
Good luck. Money never hurt when it is needed.
and the hotel totally renovated..so i a pretty environment...clean etc
thank you :)

Good for you. You're a hard worker and you have come far.
thanks annie... it has been a long haul.. but... it has been a lot of fun too...
and will pay off very nicely at the end
hopefully it will... i am trying to hedge my bets..not a lot of teaching jobs here in ontario..they laying teachers off...but am prepping myself for first nations.... so i can go north ( WAYYYYYY north) for full time work
Go wherever you have to go in the beginning until you get experience.
exactly :)
brb

Good morning
Hi Mom
{{mom}}
((River)) and ((carlee)) so good to see both
anyone have the stats for the 4th column E
off she goes already to the PB....and she just got here
and off mum goes... me thinks whenever rdance is around... we need the PB well stocked ;)
Mom was not careful
Ah, yes.
And that was my first word
mum just dove in without looking
mine too...lol!
I should pay better attention
Mom you are whooping my butt in slingo
I almost fell for it. Hi ((Mom and Rdance))
is there strategy to slingo?..i played a bit and lost interest
Hi Annie
I didn't think so, I will have to check it out. I wish it would not take so long to load. If it loads at all
When I got my first computer Slingo was about the only game on line. I didnt think it was still around. That was about 15 years ago.
I love slingo.....I dont know about strategy when playing against someone ....there are some tricks to get through the levels on your own
(((((Annie))))))) good morning.
I know last night was another problem night with loading. I wonder if it has something to do with the levels we are now on
Carlee, like most things I just jump right in.
Maybe need to clean out my internest history and cookies
I am not playing levels. I am just playing against you Nd Peri
*internet
I think they need to update their end of it. The more people on it the slower it is
Anddddddddd it will mot work on the ipad.
oh, I play all my points out each night...and up to stage 4 in level 34.....I get 165 points a day plus whatever I win
Doesn't sounds like the old Slingo I know
I do the challenges from you and Peri first and then go to the levels
When I started there were only a few thousand playing now it is in the millions
I dont think so Annie - this game just came on Zinga about 2 years ago or even less
I use to play like that but I was burning up hours
has anyone found that 4th column E yet?
i played for about 4 weeks... and was just like a slot machine... got bored
I have not, R
refers to long times
Morning Steve
TY Steve. Hello everyone

oh good Mom can teach me how to read crochet patterns
Are you learning to crochet, lyn?
Good morning all.
self taught some basics...but want to learn to interpret the patterns so think I need to take a class. and Goodmorning to you Bzzn
I don't think you need to take a class for that.
I am off school until september..then off to the faculty of education for a graduate degree.. undergrad is DONE!
Mornin' folkbabblers
Morning bzzz
I leave for just a minute and see that I have company in the pb
ok... jumping in the shower... fluffing my duff to prep for an interview for a job I apparently already have ( so says a friend of mine who works there)
toodles all... play nice int he babble sandbox today
I have found in crochet everyone has their own way of writing patterns :-(
Good luck Carlee!
Bye ((carlee)) have a great day and best of luck
thanks bea...*actual poof*
goodness I do - FPdc decrease for example, 5 lines of explanation
bye Carlee - come back soon
I have never dome front post anything. I too am still learning
Done *
You tube is my friend for things like that.
I bought the Berocco Babies and Toddlers and half the patterns are crochet...and though I generally don't like crochet (bad 70s memories!) some of the patterns are very cute
well well how is everyone on this babble-icious morning
My daughter learned to knit on UTube - couldn't learn from me
or afternoon or evening as the case may be
:-( lynxxx
Morning Hurshy
You Tube is a great resource. You could also search amazon for a good crochet term book to help.
hi Hursh - cold and wet here - not sure what you are talking about
oh well it is supposed to be a beautiful day here
My mom couldn't teach me to crochet as I am keft handed
yeah those kefts will get you every time...
I had a great crochet book, currently on loan to a friend.
so do you crochet from right to left?
My mom taught me to sew and she is left handed. Now my pins go in all directions.
Having trouble typing this morning :-)
I cannot be taught any sewing, knitting or crocheting. Hopeless
Starting out I crochet left to right
never Bichon! You need to come to our library where there is a group of ladies that can teach you anything you want to learn
I am sure you have other talents Bichon. I just find knitting relaxing
top i help?
Yes, I do. Just very uncoordinated
I have learned hand quilting, crochet and knitting from them
looking fohurshyr that too
*for that hurshy
in4 little japanese box
Time to scoot. I wish you all a great day. ((Hugs))
and fifth column e
bye Mom
more spooky for the e
Fifth column e is ee6/18 - more strange
ty hurshy
5th col E must be weird or more weird
oh duh thanks lynxxx
We took the cat in the wall to the vet yesterday. Was hoping we would find out that it was a female as I do not want a male cat.
mmm you had a surprise cat stuck in the wall?
Isn't it obvious in a mammal?
Not obvious in a small feline, bichon.
Good morning,all.
male cats can be so lovey, when neutered.
hi Judi
So, was the vet able to determine the sex of the cat?
good morning all
guess I'm not too up on cats. It's really obvious in dogs
Yes, lyn, it was a kitten that fell behind the siding on our house. Had to tear off the siding to rescue him.
i was surprised, my marty is the loviest kitty ever.
Wally is a male.
hi wv
Did that story make the newspapers Bea
Hee hee. "Wally". As long as you have him neutered, he won't spray or do other unsociable things.
My thought was that if it was a he we would give him to a rescue.
seriously, why you not want a male?
It did not make the newspaper, bichon. That was just a small slice of what happened in my neigborhood that day.
do you have these misperceptions?
and your decision now...or has he already fouind a place in your heart?
Wally will not be leaving. Now way can I give him up.
oh good. if you have him neutered i am sure you will not be sorry!
lol...I should have guessed that because you gave him a name
good.
I've found, with dogs, that neutering didn't always stop the marking. It's a dominance issue
Lucky Wally. Good on you, Bzzn.
I guess so, hurshy. I've always had females and they are wonderful.
I have a neutered male cat. he does not spray.
nbt
Our male dog thinks the kitten is his baby.
marty is SO DOMESTICATED
thats so cute Bzzn
i can't even explain how unimaginable it is that he would misbehave
Today I pick up my foster dog, Ben from the Animal Hospital. He had bladder stones removed and most of his teeth removed. I can't imagine how miserable he's going to be.
:(
Poor Ben.
Oh, poor Ben! Looks like mushy food in his future.
I have to keep him quiet for at least a week. I just can't imagine
oh dear poor Ben
I've been giving him mushy food cause his teeth were so bad
Our Emilio had a lot of his gums cut back. He wasn't as miserable as we thought.
I also have to keep Marco and Polo from goading him into action
ZIs he an inside dog Bichon...he probably won't want to run around for a few days anyway
They are amazingly resiliant. Assume he has some pain meds for a little while.
No, Ben likes to walk with us.
Missing words from the two top N's.

Hey sue, almost married lady.
hi lynxxx, bea, teach, phae, bichon!
good morning everyone:))
good morning sue
married! what/when!
suze!!!! big day tomorrow!
Mr. Hair, Good morning.
lol@ mr hair
hi crossy! We are excited!
hi Cross
boy am i out of the loop!
Frank and I are getting married tomorrow, lynxxx!
wish i could be there to crash the party:))
i thought frank was your son. i am so dumb.
Yeah! a wedding on the chat log
Wish we could stream it live in the chat log.
How lovely Sue...Wow.. at long last!
best wishes to you both, sue - so happy for you! hi all, nice time to log in
Congrats, UU! Have a blessed day!
hahaha, don't worry about it, hurshy, I posted a lot about my son a year or so ago
Somebody thought Ben was my son and when I was talking about him having stones in his penis, they were shocked that I would reveal such personal information
thanks judi and aloy!
lol Bichon
so your son was the one who was sick a year ago, right sue?
hi Aloy
no bichon, i was just glad it was NOT your son :)
he wasn't sick but he had a lot of girlfriend trouble. Frank's been sick since last fall.
oh, ok, son gf trouble. frank sick, marrying. still sick?
If I gave that information out about my son on the internet and he found out, he'd never talk to me again
*facepalm* for Bichon's story. I don't even think it's possible to get stones "in there".
yes, he has cancer, hurshy, and has been in chemo since just before Christmas
is the prognosis good or...?
there is,judi,if they make you try and pass them naturally and they get stuck.i was whizzing blood with my stones
TMI Cross!
Ahg! Ahg! TMI!
it's ok, hurshy, they got everything in surgery but it had started to spread, hence the chemo.
quote from Psych: "I know, I know, TMI, 'tell more information'"
one the bright side it gives you an entirely new respect for the amount of fluid intake you have to prevent this again
Just what I wanted to know, Mr. Hair.
Ahg - is that like an asian agh?
My daughter had kidney stones when she was pregnant. No future pregnancies for her
i tell you all my gritty cancer details, stones are nothing
*Shoves in ear plugs and covers eyes* LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA
lol,poor delicate judi
Nah. I'm really not that delicate. I'm actually more worried about the pending invasion of 17 year cicadas. *shudder*
Did anyone see Molly yesterday?
ew,,nevermind cancer or stones.ewwww,bugs!
lol. I know. My perspective is so skewed.
lol, with my beloved it is spider and bats
And now there is a whole bunch of people talking about how smart it would be if we all ate bugs. Yerrrgh.
witht the bats it started with her as a teen.she had and still has beautiful ong hair down to her waist and one day she was at a outdoor fire pit party and right at dusk a bat flew too low and got stuck in here hair, she freaked out so badly she ended up hitting the bat with her fist and killing it in her hair.her parents hauled her into the house and had to cut this dead, bleeding bat out
well, sorry to leave this tasty discussion but I have a 9:00 meeting and must run - see you all later!
Ewwww! That does sound traumatic - especially for the bat.
well, yes, but the bat only had to experience it once...
bye Sue...If I miss you - have a wonderful wonderful day
bye, sue..
tc suze!!
Must bzz...pfft!
bye Bzzn, my time is up for now too, bbs... poof
halfway, NBT and NBS - time for a break
I'm off too - bye everyone
judi, during a bout of 17yr cicadas here in Nashville back in the 80s, my dog gained 5 pounds!! LOL
i am glad we do not have these cicadas here
too busy eating bugs eh?
they don't hurt anything -- they're just creepy!
still,do not need plagues of anything!
LOL, Une. Yuck. But, animals do find them delicious. Recently, I have heard cicadas referred to as "land shrimp". Yeah. Right.
I heard the cicadas when I lived in Cincinnati. They drown out the car engine noises.
That's probably why dogs eat them - just to shut them up.
it's a nightmare for brides with outdoor weddings, house painters, lawnmowing guys, etc.
They were serving them fried in the city center.
some lawnmowing guys refuse to cut grass till they're gone -- the sound of the ride mower attracts them big time!!
Love your picture of Mabel, Une. She looks adorable.
she was soooo sweet
Off to do some real work. BBL. *POOF*
she was rescued from a breeder -- had 8 litters in 8 yrs :-(
no rest? a breeder or a mill?
I was just told "used as breeder" -- and vet said she'd had possibly 100 puppies . . .
at least she'll have a few years of love and good care
we have what we hope are some good laws in place now to prevent this.ontario pet stores can no longer sell cats or dogs.they instead refer you to a shelter or a govt inspected registered breeder that must undergo all the inspections and have the proper permits
unfortunately we have laws but crappy enforcement
:((
asd you know, it's all about greed . . .
indeed:(
won't happen here. They seem to want less government. less regulations.
our adoption rate is coming along nicely thanks to help from local vets who give of their time and the fact that all adopted pets now come fixed, all shots.flea treatments for one year if needed and microchipped all fo under 150 dollars in most cases, with raised money going back to caring for those still in the shelter
yes, the rescued dogs I transport have been neutered (unless puppies, which will be neutered when old enough), given shots, usually microchipped, treated for heartworm if needed, etc.
yes, bless the vets who give of their services ( or for a nominal fee)!
vets are the best!
must get going -- HAGD!!
well, except when they hand me my bill for a sick cat:(
tc ,une
fireworks. must go get my chest appendages squished.
ouch.think that is bad? try one as a male!
since my node system was compromised once before i had to have one.good thing i am a husky male or they would of torem me open!
at least with your mamogram, they had something a bit more meaty to grab ahold of hehe
very true.
i have seen new mamogram tables, where you lay face down and let you bobbies dangle through two openings for scanning.no squashing
bobbies? lol

I am in Rome.
in case you were wondering about my accent.
so are you doing as the romans do?
babbling?
It wasn't built in a day.
i think romans do other stuff
lots of sex in public baths i believe
venice was sublime.
there was this restaurant in venice where i had the best lasagna EVER
they wouldn't give me the recipe even though i was from america and wouldn't be competition
rome is a cliche
well,if you cannot get good pasta in venice, you may as well give up
and there was a CUUUUTE little puppy that ran up to me in venice, too
i wanted to buy a bobble-headpope outside the trevi fountain
or a poster of sofia loren eating pasta
venice is known for fish.
sofia has a great pasta suction;))
seriously- why Marilyn Monroe ccaricatures outside of the Trevi fountain?
I wanted to buy all the kitch
kitsch.
because people laughed at the napolean statues?
There were rows and rows of bobblehead figurines. they were hysterical.
can you get a bobblehead pope?
I think they were bobble-head. My family dragged me past all the garbage, and I was most interested in the garbage.
can you get soap carved in the shape of the new fella? put it on a string and you can have pope on a rope for your shower because as they say clenliness is next to glodliness:)
damn typos!
opps.sorry your emminence
I believe in glod.
i believe in the holy rooster.i figure if it was good enough for J.D Sallanger,it is good enough for me
Salinger?
a write of some note
writer
I kbnow him well, but what's the rooster reference? And am I in the PB?
HEY E1!!
when filling out his writers guid card, under the heading of religion he wrote rooster worship
howdy puglet
I thought I knew all things salinger.
Marlon Brando's first actors bio had him born to missionaries in indonesia or somewhere
does anyone know if Rubyfoo has been on
i have not seen her today
thank you
she wanted me to e-mail her and I sent her a message and it came back discontinued twice
I think rainhat should be a word-lal
you can't say half a word- policia.
babble policia put you with me in th ePB where there is pasta galore.
Iam not being hurtful towards you Kaplan, but I dont know what you are babbling about.Sorry for my shortness of your way of talking
in old babble culture we could not say ra4 hat because it is a word in the grid. SO there is something called a penalty box where one is sent and where there is lots of food.
but maybe these things are no longer operative.
i just go with the flow
if i want a nice tight game with little or no cluing(or just stats only) i play the grid at the flip
They are still operative, Kaplan!
I flow with the romans.
take two romans and call me in the morning
<-- laughing head off
I know its not operating in my brain---Some of it yes but not all--I guess Iam just not as educated as you guys--sorry
Why do people go to Rome when the books about Rome have no tourists?
We are not educated. We are insane.
avier
OH GOOD! I understand that and fit right in!!
this is true.basically we have just much more time to memorize a large variety of babblets
There you go.
like nene,etui,cwms,and inai
this whole grid looks like it is written in Italian.
or is that inia
damn dolphin
etna, baby, etna. ciao.
Chronicles of narnia.
arrivadercci Roma.

Good day to all. I have 15 minutes left on lunch break so it is time to Babble!
Hi Scrabbler
howdy,scrabby
hello everybody
a fair bit,puglet
Hi Ruby, Raffi and ...I forget the new girl's name.
((ruby))
{{crossy}} {{little pug}} {{scrabs}}
Someone was looking for you, Ruby
Ruby! I tried e-mailing you and it came back twice saying you were disconnected--sorry
it was puglet. nelliekelley50@yahoo.com
Crosshair have you read the hunger game books--Ive been wanting too but dont know if they are any good
Thats where I sent it to but I will try again,Ruby
i have.they are good for a quick enjoyable read when you want nothing too heavy.they are more greared for the young adult
I saw the Great Gatsby today and enjoyed it but: 1)it was dubbed in French so I didn't have to hear Leonardo'saccent (the reviewers said it was terrible and 2) the 3D is terrible, like being smacked in the face
Thank you for the impput
but aaaaah the costumes!!!
np,puglet
lol, ruby i cannot watch 3d movies.my optometrist told ne last week that it seems my eyes operate independantly of each other and it tends to make the 3d effects useless.no wonder i was wondering what everyone else was going on about
seems the old orbs can track indepantantly of each other
funny stuff.crossy see like a lizard:)
Superhuman!
Ive never seen a 3-D movie so I cant really say anything about it
or like a dragonfly
and puglet.if you use an ereader.i can offer you the entire hungers games set in epub format.just email me and put babble in the header so i can find you
te first one I ever saw was in about 1953!
Grr, first afternoon patient is here--toddler with "foreign body in ear." We are always finding objects in kids' ears and noses. Much of the time we are veterinarians, I swear.
I shouldn't laugh, scrabs, but I've read that before
i read of a you girl who put a bean up her nose and it lodged in her sinus cavity and sprouted there.she was in emerg with blinding headaches and they found it
we wrestle with kids, get kicked/hit/spit upon..too bad we cannot sedate the little beasts the way vets can
I believe it, Crossy.
I believe it, Crossy.
see? you docs need tasers
wrap a tranuilizer in a piece of cheese and throw it up in the air,, like we do with pups
And I would like to tase the parents that do text messages and phone calls during the visit.
sorry crosshair no ereader---I dont even own a cell phone! I like holding the book
then.wait till it hits the bargain bins and grab the set
I don't have either, either puglet. I like to hold a book, too
Wish me luck with this beast. If I cannot grab the object out of the ear I will send the kid to an ENT doc.
good luck,scrabbs:)
ditto, scrabs!
Would someone please get me out of my misery? Can NOT get the SECOND re 6 word....
my beloved has a degenerative eye disease and ereaders let her enjoy books again and as for me,i no longer have to pack 30 paper books when travelling
Will do---I did enjoy the twilight series and the host-sounds like it maybe in about the age group
do not get me started on the twilight series
I dont feel so backwoodsy then Ruby!lol
did you read her book on the host, crosshair
<-- definitely backwoodsy now, low-techie
this is my view on twilight... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4uuGvm\nAxTI
damn, remove the n in that url
my beloved had not been able to read for the ten previous years.all her low tech was in the closet gathering dust
Second re6,18 please???
or even 1st re6.....
Erda & ruby: 1st re can be a mother, 2nd re is to make money again
Thank you, sandbox!!
One hates to be stuck in the middle of RE words...
ty sandbox but still looking for the mother one
speaking of which if anyone wants 100 or so v.c andrews, danielle steele and other various women authors of note and is willing to pay the shipping, let me know lol
yeah me too
ruby: the first part is 4 letters can be called the hind or backside
sorry Crosshair not my cup of tea
aaaah, tyvm
and that gave me half!
RE + I am, you *** + m,n,o,p,q,*
nor mine.library will not even take them,as a book store or library, never take danielle steele books.you will be up to your armpits in them
might use them and make some of that drummel tool book art that looks very interesting
we have a free will place some miles from us and when I get so many I donate them to them
i might just pick a nice day and put them out on a table by the sidewalk with a free sign on them
that's what my sister does in NY
but somebody stole the table, lol
good morning
thats a good ideal--------Morning Nan
worse thing that can happen is everyone will think it is a town run danielle steel disposal day and i will end up with 500 at the end of the day instead of just the 100 i put out there:)))
lol,have to love NY
LOL!!! Or maybe you will spread a little love
perhaps:)
hello nan
howdy,cybernan
i can imagine calling the local public works dept to have them send out a recycle truck just for me
:)
could have a block party--marshmellow and weenie roast
and you coud cook the food on a Danielle Steele book-fire
thats right
someone called an ae 7 last night, but not seeing it - any clues?
cybernan: someone that comes in
oops.. sorry.. wrong.. disregard.. my bad
Ae 7/28 - eternal, Nan.

ty sue
hi all
hi jmc
Good Thursday morning all!
HI JIll @ jmc
missing one r from the 2nd col. -- anything weird in there?
got it -- top 2 rows grey :)
wd cyber
Hello, everyone! Another itty bitty griddy!
wow, imagine a Danielle Steele book burning weenie roast... it boggles the mind...
hi mimi
((mimi))
i am afraid i think there is something fundamentally wrong with burning books. . . if i have books i can't give away i take them to be recycled. . . but i guess burning them is sorta recycling if you use them to cook or keep warm. . .
if i had a boiler i could make steam and generate electricity
not to worry.will not burn them.will set up freetable by sidewalk tomorrow
yeah. . . even if they make electricity it leaves kinda a bad taste. . .
lol
Any book worth burning is a book worth reading. I am totally opposed to the usual reason for book burning...
like i say.they will not be burnt. i am sure they will go fast
haven't read any Danielle Steele books - are they really that bad?
some say danielle steele is stephen king with breasts, but i read part of one and just do not see it
she is not a particularly good writer. . .
they have theri niche,cybernan
one up from harlequin paperbacks
don't like horror films or books - nor gothic -- guess I won't bother
steven king--who i do not like at all--is a better writer. . .i am just not into horror
Mr King write much more than just horro, jmc
stalled with 21 to go -- time to bring up the list
i will take your word for it crossy
oh duh -- found the re 4 and missed the ba 7!
i could give you a single short story if his ,with nary a boogyman or goul, not a drop of blood,or fire or brimstone that would moove you deeply in it's 10 minute reading span
{{crossy}} I agree....never understood how Danielle Steele got to be so popular. But then, many people like lots of sugar in their food, too. Never underestimate the human capacity for bad taste.
nbt/nbs...almost halfway
well, each to their own i say
Yes, do give the title, crossy.
{{Jilly}}
{jmc}
hi everybody, back for a lunchtime Babble (-:
ok,mimi,it is called 'the last rung on the ladder" and can be found online or in his skeleton crew short story collection.another good one in that collection is the ledge and also quitter inc.not a drop of blood or guts
(((mimis)))
fa 7/44, please?
Yes, absolutely....people have the right to enjoy whatever they want...and we have the right to criticize them for it!!!
Hi, Aloy!
It's not like there isn't a LOT to criticize about ME!
and his short story my pretty pony is also very good and not a drip of horror
hi there Mimi
haha criticize away. . . i don't like hobbits or f. scott fiztgerald (another talented person who wrote terrible books) or louisa may alcott who i think is the world most overrated author!
gasp!! DO NOT LIKE HOBBITS??!!
do not know lousia
see. . . hahaha
<---just fainted
Little Women crossy
she wrote little women crossy
never read it
*fans jilly*
i am still trying to get over that statement on hobbits...
no you wouldn't but it is derigor for little girls to read
Is in agreement that individual taste should rule what books are read...
fa 7/44, pleeeeeeease?
OK--get ready to criticize me....I like the Anne Rice vampire books.
again,never read them
haha another genre i can live without!
I actually did read and enjoy Ric series myself mimi...lost interest in the last one
(you aren't a teenage gilr crossy)
sorry cyber i don't ha** it
Ok, how about Ken Follett?
But my favorite author for the past few years is Janet Evanovich and her Stephanie Plum series...am on #19 now. It's the most fun you can have reading. I also really like James Patterson.
i did the math.if i can read 2 books a week,i am good for roughly 10,000 books in this life, have to be selective you know:)
i know him jilly, but not my style
true. . . but i read 1 every day or so so i can take breaks and still make my 10,000
I enjoy any good read no matter who wrote it
lol,jmc
I read the two Pillars of the Earth and World without ENd. Loved the
i am found of a romance writer named Julia Quinn. . . her early books are the usual tripe but her later ones are funny and touching and well written. . .
My favorite book of the last few years was "The Lovely Bones." Very compelling. They made a movie out of it but it just didn't ring true to me---except for Stanley Tucci who was chilling.
anyone know the author of the fantasy "liveship" series? i surprisingly had great fun and much enjoyment reading that
good attitude pug!
I'm reading Copper Beach by Maeve Binchy right now
besides baseball books which you would probably really ha** to like baseball for my favorite is A Guide to the Birds of East Africa by Nicholas Drayson.
JMC, you might like Elizabeth Lowell's books. Extremely well done combination of romance and intrigue.
and Bleak House. . . and omg Absolym Absolym but you probably need to be southern!
if i am ever a bird watcher in e africa,i shall have to get myself a copy:)
evening all. Please can I have a clue for the vi5/16 please please
ty mimi i will check her out. . . i like books with happy endings mostly. . .
it is a novel crossy and i read it while i was in kenya. . .and gave it as a gift to several friends after i liked it so much
sorry scouser i don't ha** it
My favorite historical romance writer is Amanda Quick (aka Jayne Ann Krentz). Her book "Surrender" is fantastic. Can't find at usual book stores but can order any of these from alibris.com for about 99 cents....great resource for books, CD's, DVD's.
Her books do have happy endings, jmc.
yes.that is right.i forgot your trip:)) must of been amazing
the book has a little mystery a little romance and a lot of human study. . .
my go to for hard to find is www.biblio.com
i like amanda quick some of the time. . .i will look for surrender. . . i buy from better world books where they donate books to others. . .the books tend to cost me about 2 to 3 dollars. . .
brb...food forage
If you want the best trilogy from Elizabeth Lowell, try her stories of Donovan family: Jade Island, Pearl Cove, Amber Beach.
i really think you would like that book. . .it would be a good one to read to elegant. . .
power nap time for insomnia crossy.later, gators:)) poink
I think Better World is part of the alibris system of vendors to choose from.
i noted those names thank you mimi. . . for julia quinn her best are the bridgerton series. . .
yes,i will look it up,jmc, ask my beloved if she is interested..real poink!
OK I finally monkied (!) it. It's a bird!

Do you know the Janet Evanovich books, jmc? Honestly the most fun you can have reading. Every year I look forward to the next one. Have read all 19.
hi helen!
Hi, helen!
Heya jmc, everyone!
nan the fa 7 is a blacksmith and horse-shoer
I ha** seen them and i can't honestly remember reading them. . . i will look them up again. . .
I think one of the reasons I like the Evanovich books is that I can hear my own voice in her Stephanie Pllum character....she "sounds" like me.
*dipping my toe into chat again*
i tried that word saan. . . i must have misspelled it again! haha
<---native Montanan gets blacksmith/shoer clue right off!
not getting anywhere - bbl
i also enjoyed the Mrs. Pollifax series by dorothy gilman but that is done. . .

We plan to be in Billings in Sept. for my neice's wedding and then on to MSLA. Not sure of dates yet....
How about you guys? are you coming this way this year?

I always forget that the Brits don't spell some words the way we do (ni5 for example)
I kept forgetting the latin endings
You just aren't old enough then, Jilly! :-)
LOL...and have forgotten my college courses on latin and greek
I never had any foreign languages; just knew Latin from church
I took a course on latin/greek suffixes and prefixes to aid in medical terminology...too far back to remember the Latin at Mass..
We (my sisters and I) were "the" daily choir for summer Masses. And I used to do calligraphy and used the fancy fonts in the old missals and bibles as models
(I taught myself "fancy writing" back in grade school; when I reached high school I did all the documents for Homecoming and Snow royalty
Wow, and Molly calls me a good Catholic girl!
How do you mean? We lived 2 blocks from church and went every morning with my Aunt and Grandma. That's how we got "drafted" to the choir
Molly ribs me about being a good catholic girl...
Oh, well; if it's only in jest....
Oh darn. DH says we need to go to the hardware store to buy some rabbit fencing; and we need to go now to plant some more strawberry plants this evening. BBL I guess (at least I made it past half way!
Oh it is, Molly and I have good times sparring
See you later nef...and can't wait until Sept!!
that's good then. :-)<poof!>
Anyone else lurking needed clues?
WEll...off til later then...
hi and bye jilly!
Meh, sorry I missed Nef. Caligraphy is one of my hobbies.
And, Hi all. :-)
Golly. I'll just reverse out of the chog on my tippy toes, for fear of waking anybody uo.......
howdy,soodles;)
the writing reference reminded me of my school days.remember when cursive was the girlie way of doing it and the boys killed themselves to learn that old backwards slanting longhand?
hehe, now with my hands the way they are it is keyboard or making my mark with a signet ring lol
i still remember the day when the teacher took away those big fat primary pencils we all used and everyone got their very first pen:)
hehe.thats funny.i can remember my public school penmanship teacher but have not a clue as to what i ate for dinner last night:(
Lol Cross!
sigh..there must be some real nasty f babblets hiding in this grid:(
just found a nice fa7/44.it is spelled like the baby pablum but add an h before the last letter
ti 5/14 and 6 24= a leg bone and latin it up for the 6
Crossy, hello my friend:))
howdy ((blueheron))
It is refreshing to see right now that there are beautiful people here in the chog.
:))
i think soodles is buried in the grid somewhere as well:)
I haven't been here since this morning. I only have 21 words. I don't really care at this point.
i am just coasting through it myself
Is it computerized?
is what computerized?
the grid.
not sure, but it has sharp teeth that are larger than it's size
lol
needs to get a new dictionary..for sure
hi again. Back from the hardware store but too stiff for yard work tonight....
i used to have a good dictionary.think my son destroyed it when he was 8 or 10 or therabouts.now if i cannot find it myself,or with licketys or morewords or the chog history, then it is going to remain hidden from me foreverfrom
wb,nef

sorry, blue; just saw your last post. I haven't seen any trolls for a while; but then again, I haven't been here a lot lately.

if you all hurry over,i am about to serve up french vanillia ice cream and strawberries
I'd totally forgotten about that bottom a!
On my way to the airport!
or french vanillia ice cream with baileys drizzed over top
How about both???? Love Baileys but love strawberries too!
of course! both is fine as well!
One of the local restaurants where I lived in London, used to give us complimentary Baileys after the meal!
back when we used to run a place we would offer a wee dram of creme de menthe
was a perfect finish for those who over indulged with dinner as the mint nicely settled the tummy
That brings back memories of early teens! The first liqueur I ever drank!
Not often but at Barmitzvah parties!
What style of cooking did you have at your place?
my first would of been a bottle of appleton estates dark spiced rum from jmacia

ae 6/18 means eternal (ends with a man's name) penquis.
yes, well i don't have the ae 5/10....hate the ae words!
ae 5/10 word is the nest of a bird of prey, as an eagle or a hawk. Then add the hook letter to get that ae 6/18 word.
qe 5 - souds ike being full of oxygen
there is no ae5 - ae4/4 add a man's name to it - the only person i can think of who has that name is *** ANderson, the flutist for jethro tull
Yes, welki there is an ae 5/10 word which is the bird's nest
*boink* i was cluing ae7
i have an AE 5/10 followed by an AE 6/18
there is an ae 5, isn't there??
lawdy - slowly i turn, step by step ....
AE 5 is the eagle's nest

yes pen - pay no attention to my posts. i'm obviously having some sort of episode *lol*
look at the AI 6/18 and then change the second vowel

NA 72 is a story told
