rose, how did your race go? Both of my football teems won!
last lap as usual was a nail-biter. first, second and third all kept swapping.
on one corner all three swapped positions twice. scary to watch at the speeds they were travelling.
do they race all year around
they break at the end of october/november and usually restarts about march.
we had rain all day yesterday, no complaints because we needed it
next race is here on an island, called phillip island. then japan 2 weeks later. then valencia 2 weeks after that.
Are you going to it
not this year...but DH is...i bought him the 3 day pass for his birthday, plus his accommodation, and all meals.
Oh that was nice of you--Is he taking a buddy
Hi all :)
he and 3 biker mates go down together. spend the whole weekend in male company...good for their spirits.
hi, liz
Yes, everyone need a time away like that--well I hope he has a grand time
Hi Liz
so do i, pugs. he needs to be away from the mother, and his wife.
got 100 so I can go to bed -- bye all...*poof
Night Jilli. Sleep well :)
night Jilli
night, jilli. hope you sleep well, hun
Rose we are stating Oct., are you in the same month as us?
yes, dear. october 1st in about 7 hours.
Where is this year going???
I know! I think sept. just flew by
i know, liz. it's dreadful how fast the days are passing.remember how slowly the school holidays passed, they se4ed to go on forever.
For sure - now we can't wait for the school holidays to be over - lol!
I hate that the stores has, halloween.thanksgiving and christmas stull all out at the same time
Everything is so commercial. I remember when there was nothing for Christmas in the shops in England until after Guy Fawkes night (Nov. 5th)
Thats so true Liz and by doing that the meaning of the holidays have been watered down
I got my sister really good! Her computer is right beside a big window-and I dressed up in a halloween mask(which I borrowed from her) and parked down the road and snucked up to her window and knowing she would be at the computer---I came up to the window and scared the crap out of her--lol---she jumped up screaming! Just had to be there to see the look on her face! I laughed so hard
Naughty Pugs!!!! But sounds like fun :)
hi all
Hi Joso
Hi Joso
yahoo, joso, how's my mate?
pugs, just read back...what a giggle!!
that sounds like a great gag pug, hi mate, liz, pug
I though so but she didnt--lol
Also just read back - good to see that work cover are finally getting things moving, Rose.
Shame Pugs! Wherre
Where's her sense of humour?
she laughed too after her heart stopped pounding
Glad she laughed! Bet you did too!
oh yeah! until I had tears :D
I'd've liked to have been there! I'd've joined you with my witch's hat!
oh that would of been fun! a double dose of trouble-lol. And I bet Rose would love to have joined too
And green make up!
:)
in the tutu....now that's really scary!!! lol
Definitely fun though!
giggles
Could you clue the ma 8 for me please?
what i hate about commercializing halloween are the costumes, part of the build up for it, for me as a kid, was putting together the costume, that seems lost to me when they use those cheap costumes they have nowadays
could ya Rose?
it's a plural of ma7, ma*, not female + give me the w****, not just some
I saw that as a teacher. We had a fancy dress day once a year and over the years, the costumes became less and less imaginative.
ma8, male + donut center, plural
Of course!!!! Thanks. Quite a few compound words here.
thanks--so easy-duh on me
yes, the male/s are used a lot
That's good! Using males I mean. So many uses!
and we love to be used
So all's good then!
treat me as a sex object, pleeeease
do you mind cluing the other 8 and the tm word
I'll leave it to others. Both are difficult words for me to clue, without spelling them out!
don't have that one yet
thats okay with me Liz--lol
de8, de + not you + ***ll, german quic. then plural for de8k
de 7 - is an estate - land belonging to a manor house.
tm + the plural of the letter before t in the alphabet.
tm6, t + not you + **e*, uses one's eyes
ah, a lords holding
tnx rose, liz
That's right Joso
yw
thanks
np's
now where were we? oh, yes, using joso as a sex object....sorry sport, the mind pictures just won't gel...lol
lol!
*sigh*
I'll be back later. Hubby's got a meeting tonight so having an early dinner with him. Enjoy your day / evening if I don't see you. hugs to all :)
later liz
there, there, joso....get in that pool....
hugs back and have a good day yourseld
bye liz, have a good day
I think he needs more of a cold shower
a cold shower won't build a six-pack....
your concern is so underwelming
hey, i just had a thought....joso...they make man-girdles....would that help?
then add the slimming jeans---
roflol, imagine joso in spraay-ons....almost as hysterical as moi in similar pants...
:) :D
*hands joso a hankie* * pats him gently on back* s'okay, mate, i'm here for you...
so, back to holidays, my mom used to have an anti christmas party at her artists studio every summer, hung a tree from the ceiling and staple presents up there, was a costume party, a lot of fun, I used to run the bar, met everyone. Weird mix of people, starving artists, middle class friends, a few quite wealthy collectors, rummys from the neighbourhood.
that sounds interesting and different
nice change of subject, joso. haven't seen foot-work as fast as that since fred astaire.
subtle too
I thought so too Rose
as a sledge-hammer
Maybe the brain isnt quiet awake as of yet
was very interesting how people from such diverse backgrounds found common topics to talk about
*pokes joso with a pin* nope, judging from the reaction, he is wide awake...well, he is now....lol
like the subject of sex?
roflol....awww poor joso. i so love taking the mickey out of you...
really, I couldn't tell
how old were you then, joso?
I think half of the grid is M words
was 11 when I first went, about 30 when the last one happened
so only last year then??
I wish, half a lifetime ago, am 57 now, just so you don't have to dither around until you figure that out rose
so hes been fibbing to us!
dither? dither? DITHER??? i do not dither....lolol
Oh Rose, you are a riot!
I don't know, using the same word again, and again seems kind of.... dithery
ROFLOL..... just you wait 'enry 'iggins.....
wait, I'm 56... 57, 2000-1957, 43, 43 + 13, after august, yea 56
why, mate, you look so much younger!!!
I used to get that alot until most of my beard tirned white, now they ask if I should have the seniors discount
I will be the same age as you Joso at the end of feb
cool, like having a little sister
you can play Santa Claus
whats your sign
i used to do that, don't have a group of kids to do the role for this year
Leo, roar
what about the nursing home? They like that kind of thing too
what about you pug, your sign
whats yours Rose?
the fish! PI
picies
pisces
yep--not sure how to spell it right now
thank you
do you follow astrology at all pug
I use too Joso
looks like a squirrel ran through roses place
I dont care for these cheap shots they have anymore
are you Joso
what cheap shots are you referring to
like these daily reading ,like in newspapers
or you get out of the bubblegum machions
like pugs, i used to follow the 'stars'. according to them i am an 'aries' nowadays, i prefer to be a christian....which does not mean i am perfect, just forgiven...
not much, when i read a list of leo characteristics I fit 15 of the 20 listed, and occasionally read the paper collum for fun, but never a serious follower
I was like that too,Rose---after I got saved I left that and the cards alone
i'd think the ram would suit you rose, a direct approach to problem solving
yeah...i know...and that's a good trait to have, is it not?
I like people that dont hen-haw arround about something
most of the time, depends on the problem i would say, sometimes not the best solution.
I feel like if you are a real friend and asked something its your place to tell the truth
But I bet your direct aproach is tempered by a good dose of sympathy and understanding, bet you get the right mix much more often than most.
aww, thanx you two...it's nice to have so much positive support.
well, yes, if its something that might hurt their feelings, I might put it more softly but still the truth
my boss at work has often commented that she likes my approach to problem solving. and you must remember that one cannot dilly-dally when there are lives at risk.
My close friends know that about me and though I dont always say what they want to hear, they know I will be honest with them
Like a good example--a friend was getting involved with someone outside of her marrige and came crying that though she prayed about having this other man-I told her God can not okay that at all because they were both wrong(he was married too) but all in all things worked out and she went back to working on her own marrige
I will mostly keep mum about things I don't think people don't want to hear. I think it's often a waste of time to put forth opinions if they are not ready to hear it, but if asked the truth is what they hear.
i appreciate honesty, at no matter the cost...if someone pussy-foots around me, it makes my teeth grate.
Me too Rose!
I hate stealing and lieing
are my friends still here?
oh, oh, oh...have to tell, my darling DH has bought me a piano stool. what a wonderful man i have!!!
Iam Ruby
{{{hugs and kisses}}} ruby!!
oh how nice!
How is Mrs Ruby today
hi ruby, good morning
How is the playing coming along Rose
granny, do you have a piano to go with the stool??
Just gave Burt his Burtday presents and he is very happy. Then we'll go out to lunch to his (and Sprite's) fave resto.
thats nice Ruby
yes, mixi. it arrived last saturday. i now possess the family piano.
Burt bught me a lovely piano, one year, as I|'d always wanted to play but, after a year of lessons, I gave it up. Absolutely no talent
pugs, cannot play properly until i have appropriate seating.
I'm a good listener, however
You still have it Ruby
do you play?
yes, it sits looking t me in my studio
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BURT!!! 21 again, 21 again....
morning Mix
What's funny is that my son is a musician and also a computer expert. maybe it's a left brain/right brain issue......
years ago, mixi. will need at least 6 months of scales and arpeggios etc to get back my flexibility
helo mixi
if you worked at it Ruby I know you could play
ruby, not at all strange/funny. music and computers are both based on mathematics...
I can't sing, either, even though I know a vast amount of music but only in my head.
Totally incapable
and both need patience and a lot of attention to detail.
my eldest, a computer expert, is also gifted musically.
But I was good at mathematics, actually better tyhan my son, who is right-handed, until I got to calculus which was totally incomprehensible
sister!!! as was i.....and so was i...re calculus...
I have a bachelor of music in piano and a master of education in math. and I think calculus is an eminently forgettable subject.
phantom: doryphore
I started out as a math major, wanting to teach high school math, but needed a tutor to get a D in calculus which was required for everybody at my school
mixi, my son's music teacher was astounded...she gave him a piece to change to a different ky, and left the room. she then heard him playing....in the new key...he was transposing, sight-reading and playing ...all at the same time.
why forgettable mixi?
youmean you don't use calc every day? falling down laughing.....
bbl...going to find food....i believe the kitchen is somewhere around here...
it was 6 years after calculus, that I had a choice of taking advanced calc, or probability requiring advanced clad. I couldn't remember anything from calc, so I took the other.
bye Rose and good luck on your hunting
last night, I forgot to eat dinner so at 11PM I was making a new veg soup for myself and ate it before it was cooked.
anyway my new goal in life is to become computer illiterate.
(I did programming for 30 years.)
ah, you mean actually forgettable. Found it an odd descriptor and was wondering. tnx for scratching that itch foe me.
my goal is oblivion .... I find I have made progress
oh thats ez mixi, don't look at programing for 5 years and all the languages will cange
I started on COBOL and 30 years later was working on COBOL 2.
oy, I hate cobol, so wordy, a language with terests
The meaning of life cannot be a goal, or an achievement. The meaning of life just is, requiring no action on our parts - no striving, no bettering ourselves, no successes or accomplishments. The meaning of life is but life itself, and life itself actually has no meaning; it just is . . . and we can just be.
100 down, time to go back to bed. silo
bye mixi
could some one clue the V please
thanks for asking, pugs, I'm stumped
ve6, ve + ***k, not well + vowel
i'm baaa-ck, in case you didn't notice
Ecclesiastes 12:13: “Have reverence for God, and obey his commands, because this is all that we were created for.â€
welcome back--that was a quick hunt
we noticed! ty for the great clue for that uncommon word
pugs, what can i say? i inhale food....
thanks Rose, got it
really, email not a word, come on
tnx for the v rose
I know, I tried that too
104 but have to go.
104 but have to go.
Iam finding this grid getting hard now
See you later, kids
bye Ruby have a great day--hugs
Matters not whether letters form a word. Enable is sole arbiter ... a capricious one at that.
well it must matter to babble-lol and Hi OO
where you at, pugs?
right here in Indiana
*giggle* God, i love you...
how many to go, what letters, what length?
Iam down to 70 and I go all over the board so I cant really answer that question
I havent went to Lickety yet
which letters on the grid haven't you finished/greyed? oh, okay. will leave you alone, then
no you are not bothering me but I dont want to bother you
FWs
w2g Diz
ae 5/12 -- add denizen of Langley, Virginia
well to tell you the truth, though I hate to, I cant get the de8
the lone A(in the 4th col) would be a help
if you have the preceding de 5/14, add the abbr for Omaha's state and pl
de8 de + military diner; ***s + bird home ***t
okay, de8, a plural of de7. de*on, evil spirit + *a*t, not west + **st, bird's home
an5, an + h**, not her + vowel
got it thank you all you brainy people
an 4/4 - add karenina's first
thanks so much
Rose are you working tomorrow
tomorrow not working out of the home...lol...have 3 loads of laundry to sort, fold and iron...and another 2 to wash...nd DH wants to go to the movies...
do you take in washing for extra income
Iam only asking because you just done washing the other day
I keep seeing manic in this grid
lol...no, hun. i wash every 3-4 days. what with working, i cannot leave too much time between wash days.
you have alot of washing for just 2 people but thats probally due to an over active sex life ---huh LOL
one blanket takes makes a load, that I understand
I think I need to give up writing this morning--not doing a very good job of it today
usually, the mother is here, don't forget. factor in a small clothes-line...need to divide up laundry into manageable loads.
If thats your story--lol
*giggle* yeah....you wanna make something of it?
well, MIL has not been there for about a month---sooo
okay, okay...*hands up in surrender*
giggles
Rose do you get alot of storms off of the ocean there? We got thick fog this morning-yuck
pugs, we are in the foothills of a mountain range...about 20 miles from the coast. we have fog, cloud , and snow because of them.
do you have to worry about mud slides
no, hun, for which i am truly grateful.
thats really good. Our worse thing is tornados and if we get bad winter storms of ice or deep snow or both together
weather pretty moderate here. a few earth tremors, and just recently a couple of small tornadoes.
hello
g'day mlf
g dahy granny
Hugs to you Rose and hope you have a peaceful sleep and wonderful dreams, also hope you get ALL that wash done too. Need a brk from this. And same to you Joso, except for the wash thing

* didn't give you all of them.
No probs, thanks.
fw
Oh what sad news, crossy. My prayers and love go out to her family.
message i can pass along from her sister in law via seainHi Seain, I'm Linda Picur, Maria's daughter in law, that was a beautiful post and I know it would have made Maria smile. Thank you. She loved y'all and truly enjoyed her Babble. She tried to teach me... throughout the years....I'm just not that smart. She enjoyed getting to know this great group of people. She is at peace with her LORD. She sees clearly now.:
WTG JOSO!!
crossy, too sad, mate. my prayers and heartfelt sympathies to all who loved her.
now,how is today's grid?
I don't remember ever meeting her Crossy, but I'm sorry you and others have lost a friend
biltong, el4...em5, 6, 4

hi and nbt
sorry to hear about yvo, i did cross paths with her here a few times, she seemed like a nice lady
We will put yvo's name on a placque in the PB, in memory of Babblers who have gone to Babble Heaven.. Happy Monday, all
{{josh}} long time no see, mate.
good to see you rose. i'm here and there, occasionally around
good to hear, mate. keep well and safe. :)

yay, aloy...you rock, girl
hi granny.. actually, my monkey deserves that find.. (-: gave it an extra chunk of banana
just checked yvo's profile. she was quite elderly...i should live so long...i pray that her passing was peaceful.
I hope so too.. babble on, yvo
i am sure she has already completed the grid... WTG YVO!!!
yes, congrats.. maybe she was racing FMitch?
is there an actual list of babblers who have passed away somewhere?
lol....right on, aloy
still miss FM.. she was a wonderful babble buddy
joshua, that is why I mentioned a wall placque.. we need a Babble Hall of Fame
not to my knowledge, josh...maybe we should ask dr god?
Maybe it could be put on Babbler's Anon?
hi Bzzn.. that is a good idea

ah Easter cake Thanks Molly
If you say so, never heard of the Easter cake. Considering the definition references circa 1200, I'm not surprised.
A si6 21 cake has marzipan on the top plus marzipan balls round the edge representing the disciples
Evening all. We have easter cake every year here. And I'm not even religious.
hello all. i never heard of that easter cake.

ding ding ding!
is molly here?
hi all. that easter cake has been in grids before
i'm real religious and i don't know about the easter cake, i'm feeling inadequate now
but i have to say i feel Christ and the disciples would be offended to be represented by marzipan. it's yicky.
It is very nice, a rich fruit cake with a marzipan top and 12 balls of marzipan - not to represent the, just to remind us.
well i wouldn't want marzipan to remind you of ME
chocolate, sure, but not MARZIPAN
and in any case i still haven't found the WORD
I LOVE marzipan. I have some marzipan candies here.
think of the marzipan balls as a variation of easter eggs

list.
hi all! stuck at 126. Guess I'll list.
it's a theme
LOL hursh!
It's great minds thinking alike :)
Great minds are all alike; every inferior mind is inferior in its own way?
possibly?
that sounds like the opposite of true.
Yes, it does
i mean, great minds may all have certain things in common, and they can often communicate clearly to each other in ways that seem utterly confusing to others... but, they also have really unique ideas.
Very true!
Ah the list is helping tremendously.
stepping up on soap box: while in U.S. culture, people with perfectly fine minds take an anti-intellectual global view, consequently there's little variation of thoughts among them.
take Congress. please.
Amen
maybe they just don't have fine minds
I wish someone would take them....
we americans are dim, and proud of it!
ah, done.
speaking of fine minds: hurray hurshy
WTG. Hursh!!
Let's put them all on a boat and strand them int he middle of the ocean. Bet they could agree on something if they were in a hurry to get back to their mistresses.
Go Hurshy!!
you're forgetting, some of them are women. let's not endanger them.
There is that
so egalitarian
or wait.
actually, maybe we need a merit pay system for members of congress
no, their pay doesn't matter to most of them, they have too much independent wealth
Hi all :)
we have to threaten to seize their personal assets.
then only poor people with no assets would be willing to do the job, and maybe THEN something would get DONE!
Yay!! BAbble back up!! Hello hurshy, smores, mab and mag mom!
Hi Jilly
tadone!! finito!! hi Jilly, hego, hursh, smores...everyone!
good for you, Dawg!!
WooT WooT WooT dawg!!

interesting that the babble site crashed when hurshy proposed seizing assets of congress members. hmmm... conspiracy!
Before or after they implant microchips in us?
i used to work in a psychiatric hospital (7 years ago) where some patients believed they had microchips; almost not without the realm of possibility now.
not decided yet.
Well, at least covering one's home in aluminum foil to prevent aliens from communicating is still crazy...LOL
oh-oh. it is?
ROFL...better remove it mab

at least wearing foil on one's head is so 1950s

Hi tnana

I'm kind of glad to be past the bloating age.
hi there TNana....have you moved back east or are you still in MT?

Still here in MT. Not putting the house on the market until next spring.
Sure going to miss it.

I would trade all the pretty country in the world to be closer to that adorable grand-girly of yours.
That's how we feel, but will definitely visiting Montana a lot!
Going to change my icon to a candle as well...poor Yvo...very sad
She is definitely worth the move!
There you go TNana, the best of both worlds.
yes, poor thing.
I will miss you, maybe we can get together before you leave MT
That would be fun.
We were supposed to bring some friends that were visiting from Michigan to Chico last week, but it looked like nasty weather and had to cancel.
Took them to Cody, instead, and still had a great time there. So much to do in Montana and Wyoming!
Maybe we could even do Chico Winter Special!
We'd have to book early - it sure fills up fast!
I sort of have an 'in' to reservations...LOL, worked last year!
The winter special not so much as regular times, weekends are booked months ahead!
I know! When friends were coming from Michigan, we booked one of the two-bedroom cabins in January for last week.
Gotta get back to my laundry. Have a good day all!

sorry, my computer malfunctioned.
i like kool-aid.
we used to love it because we never had it at home, only at kool aid stands
kool- aid should span enough cultures to pass the babble culture police, but that image was nasty:)
but diabolical
us canadians had a version of it under the trademark name of Freshie
i need costume ideas. i think it may be tippy hedren in the birds.
i don't remember if i had it or not. probably not at home.
Good morning all :)
howdy, liz
hi liz
no, i do remember having it at home.
those little packets.
we had it but it was a rare treat
How's school crossy?
it is going very well,liz
without knwoing the kool aid connection it is downright nasty.
Glad to hear it. Sorry didn't mean to interrupt a conversation.
lol, yes,if you had no idea of kool-aid at all, that guy would have your running for the mace at your halowwen pary
i wish we had costumes that interesting. lucky to have any show up m in costume, which is why i will be out that night.
isn't it just sugar and food coloring? sounds wholesome to me. i ran around a lot because we didn't have kidnapping and crime then and so i didn't get plumpy
yes, it is, and probably citric acid
sugar is natural, and citric acid too
kool aid's a health food, i say
i never was allowed candy, though
blah blah blah me, blah blah something else about me, blah, blah....
not to worry, mab there are no chat nazi's tonight
yougo, mab!
i don't even know who the chat police are. i don't think i've met them.
they are all currently in the doughnut shop eating pumpkin spice doughnuts
*two snaps up*
oh, crossy, i saw a documentary last night about a glen gould, a canadian. he was stunning.
not 'a' glen gould. 'the'
he lived his whole short life in toronto, and had a cabin too.
he had just his piano, the little chair he sat on to play it, and lots of scores, and lived for awhile in a motel.
'genius within: the inner life of glen gould'
time to go, happy babbling all

we have some fine canadians..once again we are sorry for justin beiber lol
yeah and how about an apology for those geese while you're at it
lol, deal with the geese yourself.you guys have all those hand guns..use em
personally i find goose very oily
and the geese sound better than beiber in any case
i prefer a nine iron. ;)
*poof*
everyone knows you use a 7 iron to putt geese
all our geese are getting ready to leave now:))) get ready for them T.O :))
they are gonna be pooping on yer lawn:)
May I please have a clue for ho6-24 the 2nd? Thanks
in minneapolis the geese would chase joggers at the lakes. one year they crated a lot of them up (the geese, not the joggers) and relocated them.
lol.we invade the animals territory.should of crated the joggers hehe
Funny, mab. Guess not for the joggers.
the belief in cavities, gapeach.
ho6-24, the religion of ho
it was at one of the city's lakes, the one that was the least urban - crossy's right
Thanks much, mab and joso.
funny thing here is,mab,we live near the longest fresh water beach in the world.it is 7 miles long and divided into 7 secotions.section one is the nude beach/party beach/college beach. beach number 2 is the dog walkers beach and 3-7 are family beaches.several years ago we had some rare birds (piping plovers) decide to next on beach one and two(4 nestting pairs out of 80 known in the world) we have have those 2 beaches closed to humans ever since(crated the humans as it were)
that's where they went wrong mab, if they had crated up the joggers...
nest*
the 2 beaches have been closed for 5 years and counting:)
see? canadians are just nicer people, splitting up the beach that way and caring about the plovers.
people come from hundered of miles away to take pictures of them
and having nude beaches too
and there is a volunteer team who stand watch
awww shucks:))
Wonder if Miley Siris (sp) goes there?
funny thing is as soon as we opened the nude beach we ended up with a lot of dog owners in beach 2 lol
i watched that dance on youtube and it was revolting and very demeaning to african american women
but now the birds own it all
down to 3 bnesting pairs last i heard
mab, which dance and by whom?
that miley woman, on some awards show.
the infamous twerking dance.
have no idea who this miley sirus is and i think i do not want to know
i know of a billy ray by that name.must be his kid i take it
do i dare ask what "twerking" is?
Oh, my Lord. She is such an embarrassment....some woman said, "Someone should call her father." As it turns out, Billy Ray is all for her.
It is his child, Crossy.
she was a kid actor, i think, and this was her adult breakout act
ok,now what is twerking?
highly sexualized dancing, like bounce
it was silly, but also offensive
Must find food....bbl.
ahh ok.i think i see it now.bet she is 15 -19 and got up there and shoot her assests like she was selling it on a street corner by the half hour
shook
and i have a high tolerance for the inappropriate
there is instructional video crossey if you want to learn
no thank you, joso, think i shall pass
hehehe
tasteless. i think that was part of what was annoying.
i now throw out my back bending over to tie my shoes
it's like a replay of annette funicello, worked for disney, grew up. just more explicit than beach blanked bingo
tasteless is everywhere.that is why i got rid of cable.could not stand another 'reality" show or honey boo-boo and family going on in whatever language they speak or that toddler and tiara show where mummies and daddies prostetot their little girls for cash and prizes or lets not forget the dna roullette rumble on the murry pauvich show. sorry. no thank you
ok.crossy gets off of soapbox
on the bright side, i am enjoying the "24" series with keifer sutherland and am looking forward to the breaking bad series
i haven't had tv for years, but i wish i did have it.
crossy loves netflix
you are not missing much at all mab
out of 400 odd channels, there may be 5-10 worth wathcing
all for $90 dollar + a month
i pay $7.99 for netflix and am content
I find all the cable channels have 1 or 2 shows that are worthwhile, and a lot of filler. it's a pain.
the 80 dollars a month i save goes towards the cost of the smart tv i bought that can stream internet content from my wireless router
yes, jososounds like you are due for an alternative as well
i bought a 51 inch smart lcd hdtv tv and can stream all the movies i wish
it is my own personal movie theatre
I dropped all cable, I watch broadcast supplemented by downloads, pay 0$ for tv like the old days
that works as well
i do not begrudge netflix their 8 dollars a month however
so I also get the brit and ausy shows
what are the top shows for the aussies, joso?
I'm was enjoying the almighty johnsons, but it's just wrapped up.
matter of fact, think i am off to watch a bit of a movie now.tc all and happy babbling!
and new zealand had a very gritty cop show with a mourie detective
i dropped cable too, got a digital antenna (rabbit ears) and can get abc, cbs, nbc, pbs, cw
+ netflix so I'm good
plus i babble most nights anyway :)
