hi helen
Not in Colorado! LOL...We've had record snowfall since December! And with more snow today through Friday we will beat the old record set in 1913.
hiya mymus!
ty Nan. I forgot it's Valentine's Day. Not celebrated in Israel, since it is deemed pagan or non-Jewish.
not sure if the sc 7 44 was called

Craig Ferguson delivered a good line yesterday. Upon hearing that two more feet of snow were forecast for New England, he said he thought New England cannot possibly get any whiter.....
Ouch.
seeing the pics of New York's 100 inches of snow totally astonished me
co 8 55
good heavens, -- where have they put it all in a city the size of New York?
not New York City nan, in Oswego County, upstate
i think it was upstate NY, don't quote me...we're pretty close in philly to NYC and it's been light down here
these pics were of outside the city, so maybe it just hit in northern part of state
Def on upstate. North to Albany from Manhatten then head north west. On the shore of lake Ontario. All lake effect snow
need one more r for the bottom row -- have sew again and cut down again
And basically all of northern NY state is buried!
evening all
hello
So, let's find another place for it rather than NY, Colorado or Ontario, please??? I'm tired of being so COLD! Hi hootowl.
no -- not cut down again (wishful thinking) officials at a game
sorry to tell you this but its about 90f here
You scared me there for a minute Nan. I was wondering if Enable was more receptive to you than to me!
Hi Jade. This is unusual for upstate. They usually stop at 5-6 feet:D

hi again everyone - happy valentine's day
hi saph wb
USA people is it usually that freaking cold were you are?
I wouldn't wish this weather on anyone, but I wish it would go away for a while. I think Mother Nature has been good enough to us for a good summer this year.
supposed to hit 20 here in a couple days
oh to be that warm :P
Finally stopping, I think. Predicting 10-15 inches accum. tonight. Drifting is getting us. Took me an hour to shovel out when I got stuck coming back IN this afternoon.
it depends where we live! seems to be a seesaw anymore.
looks like the ice turned to rain now - but they predicted over an inch of ice by morning here
herin.....we get chilly normally in the winter months, but this season has been unusually bitter.
nicra
Im trying to work out if you always freeze in winter as im planing a trip to the states

4t8 - are you asking for a clue for the sc7/40?
i always worry when i start monkeying so soon
no i was saying there was one up there...that's how we used to do it last year or so - how do you all do it now? only recently upgraded and started playing again
4t8,go to licketys clues, many of us already have the list
you just keep goin 4t8...im not finding them...but its not to know what im looking for..lol
Aahh, wasn't around in those days, was just wondering.

under tile stats licketys babble clues gives 1st 2 letters and value
ok, 50 words and not seeing more, so off I go -- night all
that's why i took a break, rolin! not finding them either
list helps a lot 4t8, some wait as long as poss to use it, some as soon as it is posted, i like to get 1/2 way by myself but it is a personal taste

hi lynxxx
Hi Lynxx. Sorry Joey, I don't have that one.

can anyone clue any of the last 3 cr words please
bummer, well, I will hang for a while until I have some insight
cr - plus two vowels, a consonent, and then a plural for the 5/6 combo
one cr word is cr + *** (what is mined out of a mine)
And now I've seen it. sc7/40 builds off of sc6/27.

hi! happyV-day everybody!
Hi Melon
would youbelieve i wen tsledding at 1 am tonight?
fireworks
taDah ruthy!
Melon - that sounds wonderfully carefree
Congrats Ruthy
hey, acting one's age is so overrated. we have near blizzard conditions, and, i don't know - i just fell in love with winter.
melon..just read your profile..do you mind if i steal your motto...SOOOO aplicable..
i was shoveling the drive, and all of a sudden, i thought, i cannot pass this up. i had called my kids, 15 & 20, earlier, at their dad's house to see if they wanted to join me, but they didn't. it was an adventure! i went down twice, first time to pack the snow, second time - i flew!
Melon - agree - should 'just do it'. Glad you are enjoying the cold/chill!
rolin, you are welcome to it - we curmudgeons must support one another.
it will join my snoopy catoon on my desk at work
;)
ahhh, got an 8
Hey melon, sounds like fun
actually, i had that over my desk, back when i worked.
oh, it was, flosey, it was. after shoveling the drive 5 times today, i just had to!
last time I went tobogganning(?) I was on the end, person in front held my feet, I slid off but they continued to hold my feet - it was ice on top of snow - I ended up - the seat of my pants!!
that was a - minus sign
ow!
yes, plus bruises!
but we continued to party, it was night
everyone thought it was hillarious
there are 8 2x2 squares that form words in this grid - just thought someone would like to know. . .
oh, minus - :D
just thinking about it, I bet my grandson has never been on a toboggan - gotta do something about that
that brings new meaning to LMAO
hahaha
oh. look at the time. hopefully i'll finish up sometime tom'w - nite all.
night melon
one more thing - is it just a coincidence that the French word for heart is in the grid? (coeur)
{poof}
hmm..using mellons 8 2x2 clue i have 7...
8
does anyone have all the m's yet?..im missing one
I do Rolin - do you know what one u r missing?
i have 6/24 7/36 4/5 5/12

aaah...thx lynxxx
yw
and now i have the others in that group as well
this grids a bit like that - happily
last column greyed. ^_^
does anyone have the first ro5/16 pls
hi all, back for the rest

Rolin - use the high letter tile
Hello Sprite
hey lynxxx :)
and Hello Karys too
Hiya Sprite and Karys
hello everyone....how rude of me !!!
hey Karys, lol. And hi Jen!
ty all
'course it isn't Karys - there is so many people coming and going, if you say hello & goodbye to all you wouldn't have time to actually find words
thats true lynxxx....I can't keep up anyway !
BBS dog and I need some cool night air (so hot here)
hf lynxxx
ooohh lyn....I wish !!!
there is no T in this grid... there is NO T in this grid

haha..thanks spite.
if you lose me its cause im watching heros, Blood you say morning ill just say Evening back
i'll just say "sabah akhyar"
hi all :) please tell me this is nicer than yesterday's!
At im not sure
it is, Ata. Lots of nice words to find and they don't hide too badly
sabah akhyar ata....it certainly seems promising
I thought it was Ata...but stuck with 68 and must go, but will be back I hope
i should be doing school stuff
Blood, what does that phrase mean?
68 still to find, that is
are there any of those pesky "re" words today?
mean's "good morning" sprite.
sounds nice, Blood :)
right im quiting and playing stuff
what's good evening?
"masaa' akhyar"
i think....
you could just say "kaifa haalak", which just means "how are you".
Good morning/evening all.
hello haz!
Hello Bloodaxe - you're early to the word search today!
hey Haz
And sprite!
yea. i don't have class until 1:40 and I got all of my work done last night. so i have time to kill.
Good for you.
had an appointment this morning, only just came back to the babble
maybe i'll actually get to finish today...
Well, the grid looks promising, anyway.
oh dear, my icon gives away clues today ...
let's all call in Q5 today
haha..it sure does ata...
Cue frantic looking up of Atalante's icon.
:D
maybe we should call in qu4?
it is a brilliant icon anyway
*looking back in*... 48 to go
wb rolin :)
did your therapist listen sprite
he did, rolin. He actually both agreed with the sessions being planned way too short after one another, and was very pleased I had the courage to set my limits
the bureau he is working for wants to have fully filled agendas and all, and lots of sessions, and he does not like that anyway, lol
always the interference of beaurocracy...are you having physio?
I also have physio, yes, but this is psycho therapy
aaah..well i know psycho.. been thru 5 of those in my days..lol
lol :)
narch
oh darn, sorry. Not valid anyway :(
lol
ni 5/14

yay Andree
clue for ic words please
I have i5/14, like the thing you use to keep your boat from floating off, replace an for i
and then plural
ic plus the beginning of equine for ic5/14
Continue with the equine for ic6
thx sprite and haz
hi folks... woke up too early again...
hey hursh *hug*
((sprite))
hi hurshy
hello andree, haz
Hello hurshy.
so what on earth is this ra6/24? An invitation to run with me to the gate to see who gets there first?
probably pronounced ruh-SEEM
i'm just guessing
ra - seem
Haz....just popped back to see if you were here, can I ask a culinary question ?
stupidhead word
You can ask, Karys, but I'll not be certain of an answer.
culinary question...mmm.... i'm so hungry
I want to do summer fruits in red wine jelly, can't find a red wine jelly recipe, got the red wine , got the gelatine, do you think just keep adding sugar tilI get the right taste ?
I cannot answer that, sorry :(
i've only made jelly/jam a couple of times but i'd say so...
just put your own 'I's' in there plaese !
The honest answer is that I don't know. I take it you have looked for a recipe on the internet? My only worry would be that too much tasting could have an interesting effect on your balance....
lol
oooh... LOL....I hadn't thought of that !... yes I looked, but most of the recipes were for the US jelly which is not what I want
have to be off for a bit, back later
and mostly for savoury dishes too
oh you want to do jello? i forgot we have different words
bye sprite
i have receipe for grapes in champagne jelly, will i go look it up karys
I could look for jello
Karys - bbc.co.uk/food has a recipe for summer fruits in red wine jelly. No sugar indicated.
I think I have that one too Andree, the difference I was thinking about was the RED wine which may be a bit more bitterish ?
Google summer fruits in red wine jelly, Karys to find the bbc one.
doesn't that depend on the particular wine then?
I saw that one Haz, it uses Rasp. jelly, which I felt was cheating !
that was my thoughts hurshy
http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/data base/summerberriesandredw_68025.shtml uses gelatine
what kind of wine have you got? is it a sweetish one?
thanks Haz, will go look
I hope it's what you're looking for.
not really hurshy
back in a minute
not quite what I wanted but thanks anyway Haz, I want to put my fruit in as in the Champers and grapes idea
Maybe it could be adapted? Chill your fruits, add the jelly and see what happens?
we do that in america all the time but with pre-flavored gelatine... which you feel is cheating :) but maybe there are some fancy americans who do it with plain gelatine... but we would call it jello, so i'd search for that or gelatine to have the best chance of finding potential american recipes
I think I will just have to give it a try and just hope !
we usually call it "jello salad", i think
just looked it up, 4 tablespoons sugar, 400mls champagne ,3 teaspoons geltine, does that help
and I will look into jello hurshy, I just didn't think of that yesterday !
And, no matter how it turns out, pretend that's how you wanted it.
lol haz
yes Andree, thats where I thought I would start and just add more sugar if it wasn't quite sweet enough.
rech5 isn't a word? for crying out loud
the reciepe uses blueberries and pansy flowers, looks very nice
of course Haz, thats what I always do !!
good luck karys
i see i can learn a lot from you ch4s
THANK YOU FOR TAKING SO MUCH TIME AND TROUBLE TO HELP !!!
If you look confident, your guests will be happy to accept that it's as planned.
got some pansies too !
You're welcome, Karys - let us know how it turns out.
it's for Sat. night
i don't think the pansies will look so nice in the red wine, lol
LOL, praps better just add them as decoration you think Andree ?
i don't know, they stand out beautifully in the picture with the champers
and they are edible
my mart is edible, cause he's yummy. and he's oedipal, since he's in love with his mama.
don't think my guest will be that adventerous !
fi6/30 please
it's a sort of carriage Andree, used lots in Historical novels
fi + a5/4
fi6/30 - follows the same structure as mother of pearl. Add a land measurement word

Hi Lori
Hi Lori

drifting and ice r our problem in indiana
lol lori

Hi Wolvie

that ch8 is so dodgey
hi sprite

G'night Lynx. Sleep tight.
Good Morning.....brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Hi cliff. I'm stuck in Boston missing the storm.
Happy open landfill day
G'd morning hodag.
hi hodag
hi eve - boston isn't getting all this snow?
Eva - boston isn't getting snow? Wow
No, it
eva
hi cliff
snowity snowity snow
No, it's mainly in the form of ice pellets. Yuck!
hey wolvie
ah. uck indeed
hi Wolvie and Lorip
where are you hurshy?
We're to get rain from it, in our piece of NS. Snow would be better. Rain will make many backroads impasable.
western CT
we had rain last nite, t storms even, but that's it
i heard those nasty ice pellets will be taking over in the southern part of NH. hope i'm far enough north so it remains snow.
haven't actually looked to see how much snow we have
brb - java refill
my significant other headed back yesterday to make sure the house didn't freeze if the power goes out, but Merp and I are here
Me too Wolvie! Please. :)
we're at a -2 with a wind chill of -18F. the snow missed us.
merp travels? what a cool cat.
merp!
my cats travel too. they are very good travellers.
mine can't even handle the 3 minute ride to the vet!
Well-sort of the way a kidnapping victim tavels. We're in his old digs, so that makes it bearable, but he gets quite stressed out by the car part and yesterday threatened to get sick and end us up in the cat hospital. But he seems fine this morning. I spent a couple of hours brushing him and crooning to him. The only way the car ride works is with half a chlortrimeton
yeah but it gets better after that
cliff I think Ricky is beautiful. I do hope he mends soon.
once you get past 15 or 20 minutes, they realize, ok, this is not a vet trip, and then they go to sleep. we've driving from here to chicago with them and they're good as can be.
yes-hurshyis right, once it goes on for long enough that he realizes we aren't going to the vet, things calm down.
*driven
brought you back some java lori - enjoy. :-)
you get an occasional chorus of meows, but then they realize it isn't getting them anywhere and sleep again. lol
hi frances - Ricky is doing great. i let him play for a little bit with my 10 month old kitty this morning.
my cats are pretty okay with travel -TG
Ricky is gorgeous. Don't you love it when they tell you to keep a cat quiet?
I have to walk to the vet this afternoon for the muttmeister to have his booster jab.
hi frances - good luck
wolvie, I can't really make out your icon - it looks like an earring?
oh - it was yesterday's chinese character thing - supposed to be april, but looks like zodiac sept to me. :-)
I suppose today's theme is self evident? ;-0
oh
good point eva. i have him in a cage when i can't be in the room with him. i'm mostly just trying to keep him from jumping up on things or down from things. not that easy for a 6 month old kitten!
Happy Valentines Day from an icy PA
hi peri!
morning peri
No luck needed Wolvie. He is as good as gold. Jab, claw clip and general health check. The vet always ask if he can have him if we ever decide to let him go as he said he is the healthiest dog he has ever seen!
very good all around, Frances. :-)
icy and sleety and snowy here in Mass too, peri
my big fluff ball behaves very well too
hi Peri
Hi peri
Good morning, all. Hugs to hurshy... I read the chat yesterday, but it wasn't a good day to talk. Sorry, hursh, but you sound so vibrant! Good. Hi, Apex... we are soaking, too, and sister in Scranton, PA said they are getting hammered with ice on top of snow, with another 10 inches of snow coming... and 35mph winds. I'm glad we're in NC! :-)
I have sort of a job interveiw at 11:30 today and thinking of cancelling. Weather people are saying to stay inside if you don't have to go out
hi Scarlet
I guess it depends how much you either need or want the job peri.
Good luck, peri. Where are you?
I think they would understand - maybe you should call them - the person interviewing might not even get in
thats the thing Frances I do need the money. But I am driving a 15 year old car with only front wheel drive and no air bags
Phila
Peri you really should cancel
Peri, you sound like my daughter with her 1990 Toyota, and she takes care of that car like a baby. Is Phila. getting slammed, too?
If you decide to go give yourself plenty of time and be careful.
I am going to wait a little while and see what the weather and traffic look like
I have a 1991 Toyot Corolla, it is a really great car. Yes Phila is getting slammed too
LOL, I didn't know it as a Toyota.. they were built to last... Leigh's car is a Corolla, too. Plese be safe. I'm a born worrier about man vs weather.
Used to have a bright red lla GTI. My pride and joy but it had to go when I got made redundant.
Even a Toyota Corolla GTI
oh, scarlet. thank you very much. i am doing well, yes, except for feeling bad for what i'm doing to him.
My car is red my favorite color after periwinkle
hursh, you have been on my mind...it's never an easy path, but so many of us have been down that lane before. You're the only one who can make the right decisions for yourself. Bless you.
Frances, the Toyotas last forever. Leigh's is white and I call it the rocket. Sleek, small and just right for a petite woman.
thanks. i appreciate everyone's thoughts and kindness.
#1 just pm'd me and totally distracted me. More coffee....
we are all here for you hurshy. :-)
Scarlet Mine was known as the post box because it was the samew red
of course, if HE were the one who was a babbler, you'd probably all be saying what a horrid person i am right now... lol
Isn't it amazing the friendships which are forged through cyberspace? Real caring and compassion. Right your are, Wolvie.
Things will be fine hurshy. All will work out as it should.
lori - that sounds.... amusing. ;-0
HI, LoriP.
G'd morning Scarlet, and anyone I missed.
so much depends on point of view...
true hursh. ;-0
yes, i am very grateful though for internet friends. it is amazing what a blessing you all are in so many ways.
yesterday's story about Fiennes (sp - actor??) and the stewardess cracked me up on many levels
There are always 2 sides to any story, IMO, but how a person feels, is how a person feels. That said, you have to do right by you, even if it's not popular or easy.
story? do tell.
oh - he supposedly tried to have sex in the bathroom with her - he was on his way to a safe sex aides conference - that was part one of my amusement
good grief. which one, ralph or joseph?
you really have to read the story - a lot had to do with how it was written - I'll paste the link in
LOL, that's somewhat of a paradox eh?
Happy Valentine's day all......speaking of life changes, has anyone heard from Kthdsn since she moved?
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17115386/
I haven't seen her here, I hope things are going well for her.
Hi, chiley! Yes, Kate's moving into a new apartment, and she's doing as well as possible.
lori - read the story - it is too much to post for chat lol
I've seen her a few times. She found a home and seems happ[ier.
good news on Kate, scarlet
I'm going there now Wolvie.
hi chiley
that is good news
hi chilly
Thanks Scarlet.....I'm afraid she thought everything was going to be rosy....I'm sure it will be more difficult than she expected...especially with 3 little ones in tow.
chiley, the last time we talked, I forgot to mention the new car dealerships going up on Brevard Road... One is a Nissan, and the OTHER, is ahem, an Audi, Porshe (sp) showroom, right on the northern side of the Farmer's Market.
Nice! Can you get a glimpse of the Biltmore House from your place?
Not quite, we have to travel one-third of a mile to the flats above the Farmer's Market, and on a clear day, you can see forever, including the BH.
To the famous Moose Cafe!
Wolvie. Somethings just write themselves...."Mr. Fiennes became amorous towards me and, after a short period of time, I convinced him to leave the toilet. I left a short time later."
oh ok....Yes, I've eaten there.
That's funny!
LOL, LoriP. I have to read that.
oh man, lori - the jump seat line, the safe sex, the whole thing made me laugh
It's a priceless story. Totally priceless.
scarlet - it's just so... weird - you have to laugh
It was so bad I posted it over at CT.;-)
Building a rapport with passengers is important!
ROFL
I will, Wolvie. Leave it to you to find the absurdity in daily life...
LOL LoriP.
I've sent that link to #1. She'll appreciate that piece of journalism.
hurshy, I trust you understand the necessity of dealing with the joint accounts, including credit cards, properly so funds are not unilaterally disposed, or debts run up by one withou th knowledge and consent of both.
morning Wolvie, Lori, Scarlet and all...lolling as I read the Ralph Fiennes sexcapade
G'd morning Inge
it's just so absurd inge 2 - good chuckle

If, you know anything took place, which i'm sure it didn't. No. Really.
no, just had a little technical difficulty
at least it was ralph and not joseph. joseph is so cute.
You're not tricking me with that old "want to see my jumseat" line....
heh heh
*jumpseat
there is something about cat heads trading gossip that tickles me
pretty topical for today,eh?
the last line: The flight attendant said her action was "common practice on long flights to build a rapport with passengers."
NO SCHOOL
every man alive is going to want to book Qantas now
very good news for you perfect?
I've heard it called many, many things. rapport is a new one though....

Inge-are those your pups?
Yea 1per. Bonus goof off day! Shovelling is good for the soul, and the wallet. :)
oh but hurshy - it's the way it's written - I'm surprised it got printed that way
but grateful. ;-)
LOL hurshy
LOL UR A GAS
lol hursy...and also a "constant gardener"
Perfect, hurshy! LOL
How does someone just happen to "follow" someone else into the restroom? Does she always leave the door open? Part of building rapport?
ROFL inge2
inge and hursh, LOL!!!
now we know why he's been playing "he-who-must-not-be-named" in harry potter...
I'm a little concerned about the "short" period of time spent in there. Isn't there a pill for that?
we are being quite "catty"
the bathrooms on Qantas must be a LOT bigger than on other airlines.
at least a cr*** , lori!!
time to go . See ya
Merp objects strenuously to what I just said
it would be difficult to folllow someone in unless they wanted you to
WHERE R THE PICS I WANT 1

heheh....
re8 - someone who tries to re*** for something, plural
re5 extend arm, re7 one who extends, re8 plural

good morning e1...man...i feel like i am always here, yet when i get here, you guys are already here! so the question is...am i the addicted one, or are you? lol
Morning Momof3
tks, hursh
hi momof3
I know I am addicted
those aren't mutually exclusive choices...
is it a mean grid today??
mornin Wolvie, and everyone else. I was eavesdropping on the chat earlier about Quantas. And didn't want to interrupt the line of conversation......
oh sorry i clued the 7/40
apparently, i am addicted, as well lol
the 7/44 sounds like ebeneezer
Congrats Merk! At least someone is focused this morn. :)
i'm trying to figure out how to babble on the treadmill--how pathetic!
G'd morning pida, mom.
woohoo, merk!
Hi Pida
sounds dangerous mom!
they should really invent a treadmill with a built in keyboard and monitor.
i am not that ambitious mom...
go for the patent hurshy. :-)
try it hursh..you could become rich.
I walk to the kicthen for my coffee. That's all the exercise I need, thank you very much.... :)

Thanx, hurshy, hi Mom, Lori, et al
You'll have to get a voice activation program mom
i feel like it is right there...but nothing is coming up or out!!! l ol..i just wish it would hit and be done already...
ok, clearly my computer treadmill also needs an attached toilet...
lol hursh..
Peri, it is the one where going to work is a ch***, cleaning house is a ch***. There is even a scouring pad called ch*** Boy
and a microwave and a fridge and a ... it goes on and on!
I think its called the recycle bin hursh
and a coffee pot!
i dont own a microwave
a fridge attached to the treadmill seems kind of like you might as well just skip both...
ah, scrap the treadmill--too much like work!
Hello again. Back to the grid...
and there you have it hursh..a great idea shot to sh++ before it even goes big!
HI Haz
ah, haz, we were very naughty while you were gone.

i'd need electro shock on my a** to keep me on the treadmill
hey haz!

human companion to 3 cats and a dog, and I could still see the humor - different strokes. ;-)
so are mine franny, and well cared for and vetted, and paid over a thousand to save my cats life, and would find it just as funny if i could pick my husband up and toss him in the deep stuff, but i won't do that to him either.
my dogs LOVE the snow ...well, one does
nutty is as warm-hearted as they come, saintfranny, you'll see
well, tossing the husband, that's another matter altogether.

The sun is trying to come out here. Maybe it will melt some of this ice.

Most snow this side of the Irish sea is pretty thin on the ground, doesn't last long...
no well very very little... mostly just rain. but im in dublin so i wouldnt
just saw a pic of Matthew McConaghey on a beach in australia. now that's a life- just pick up and spend time wherever it's summer and avoid the cold and snow altogether
yup
Off to have some breakfast. Take care. Bye for now
i wanna live in florida and live right next 2 the beach
i had a friend whoe brother did that. bartened in aus tralis in winter and jersey shore in summer.

bye Mom
im going to australia for a year in october
i wouldn't trade my 8 pets for anything, but that is one thing i can't do that would be nice. any trip anywhere involves extensive planning and bartering with the devil - er, i mean my motherinlaw - to petsit
Nutsy, safe trip and get home safe...the roads, hopefully will be empty of traffic...
Bye Mom, enjoy breakfast.
Bye Wovie and Haz. Thank you.

hi Dorens

Hi, Dorens.
well, i still think it would be funny to see my cat airborne into a snow drift.
how many words today?
not much snow here...I hear the traffic is terrible here, so school wass cancelled. but only an inch if that, so far. nice to be home sipping my latte though
164 words today.
that would be kind of funny but still mean
evanonut - don't make me stop this car!
ty haz
*redfaced* i put my cat into the snow once to see what she would do.....
*redfaced* i put my cat into the snow once to see what she would do.....
I know what you mean - in an imaginary, cartoon, no animals harmed in the making of this, kind of way.
*looks at cat curled up on pillow*. not that i would mind you....but if i had a video camera...
hi GoBraves
OMG Temple - not you too!
I remember living in Elizabeth, NJ in the late 60s, early 70s and the blizzard was so fierce that the governor closed the state... people were arrested for being in their cars... silly, because the NJ Turnpike had four feet of snow on it.
my Lucy just insisted in going out into it... but then again, we don't have much. I tried to talk her into coming back in, but she ran off.
she jumped! but then sat there fascinated. put a paw out at at ime....i just resolved her conflict
it's hillarious to let him go out on the porch with an inch of snow. step in snow, pick up paw, look at paw, next step, look at paw, crouch, proceed.
exactly!
lol
yo
so wild are you finding any words?
yup
Dorens, is Lucy a dog?
u?
i'm too busy talking lol!
lol
a cat, scarlet... and she's seen eleven years of fnow, so it isn't nearly as amaziing to her, but still funny to watch her in it.

guess i'm stuck babbling. awww poor me
checking in from near binghamton. what i heard this morning is we've got 10 or 11 inches as of daybreak, and it's expected to go all day, sometimes at rates of 3 inches an hour
srry everyone, phone
ch + iron *** + 1st vowel
love a good snow day - anything to not have to fight traffic. unfortunately i can work from home - so not a total day off
feather, those roofs are going to collapse up there.
hi feather
Awww. I just found a Valentine's Day two words... obscure, but on the mark. LOL
Maybe
hey, has anybody seen my valentine around?
oh, there he is!
hi tor
ck my icon hurshy... i sent a Valentine monkey to everyone
i'm not in the heavy snow area thankfully. before this, we only had about an inch on the ground
luckily it's very light and powdery, so i'm not as worried about the power lines any more
em6/27?
ty adhd! and soooooooo cute, too!
hi madi. snowday for you too?
mid east ruler, hydra
is a very nice monkey :) - which tiny village are you in? western or eastern part of the state?
well feather, lucky for me i finally got the first snow day in over a year
u guys r so lucky... we got a few inches of snow, (supposed to get 12-18") right now we've got snow, freezing rain, ice,,, to change to all snow this afternoon. i'm so bummed. we've had at best a couple of inches all season
enjoy the snow... doe sanyone know the airline regulations for transporting sunblock, etc? flying to mexico friday
sorry that was em5
em 6.27 - coming out of - like a butterfly comiing out of its cocoon
yep, our first snowday too!
oh, sweet little monkey, thanks adhd
western... the smallest town in the state. Bridgewater
Dorens - you should check with your airline's website. The sunblock should be okay put in the hold.
gosh, you are not at all far from me then!
3 oz containers is all i know, from the advertising at CVS
Oh yes! I see it, CnXshun. Many thanks. Lovely clue
we have no industry, just a Village Store/Bank/Veggie stand/Post Office/Ice Cream shop in one small "house"
you're welcome hydra
ty lorip
not sure but i'm going to have to find out soon, i'm going to the Bahamas
who me? hursh?
Dorens, the last I knew, only simple toiletries were allowed to be in a ziplok bag, and the sunblock should be in the suitcase... but wait three minutes, HLS will change the rules.
lucky girl madi!
hm--- need more than that for my redheaded skin adn my daughter too. 3 oz? or pay the exorbitant prices down there, i guess?
maybe the 3 oz is for carry on?
yes, you ADHD. i'm in another tiny CT town - post office, general store, inn, gas station.
smart woman dorens....keep her covered!
it was like that in Easton, when i was growing up
There shouldn't be any problem storing gallons of sunblock in your luggage that goes in the hold.
oooh dorens...great timing
u know my town hursh?
ADHD, my daughter got married in Woodstock, CT. Very small town, too.
That's right, Dorens ..Don't you feel safe from terrorism?
am only doing carryon, though. only there for 4 nights, so didn't want to have to wait for the luggage... maybe i will though
my grandparents bought it at "fall family fun night" at my school
for all the games i've played on the web, i've only met ONE guy who lived in upstate CT
sooooooo safe, tor, sooooo safe
haven't actually been there ADHD but know it is not far
are you all from where the tobacco fields are/were?

ok, haven't done the grid yet at all. about to start!
Happy St. Valentines Day, Ms. hurshy
yep, but we do boast to be the smallest. i love it here. my kids moved here 3 and 4 yrs ago, we came here last June
They'll be sniffy about what you carry on - you might be better to go with a delay rather than risk it being thrown away (the sunblock, I mean)

clue for the ch 8 - does it expand from the 6 and 7 before it?
qu/ lots of people in long lines
But I've always wondered whether the products themselves were defective, or whether Wil E. Coyote just put them to poor use...

Thanks, Scarlet, yeah. *coughCOUGHcough*
ty Doug and Aloyisius. It's amazing how one can get locked into seeing a word from one direction and one direction only and one never looks to the right nor the left.

oh, well I can help, Ankhor... finally got 'em
cr 6/24 is pl. cr 5 = cr + anagram and his and mine

hi Torgone!
Hi Stidmama--Stidmatt was here last night. I told him about my patient named Anakin--and poor Jedi potential
qu5,18 a line, like to stand in line
hoping it goes away before evening, I am going to be in town right at commute time and that's bad when it's dry!
stid! you missed our funny time this AM!
Boreetos!! Hiya!

wish we had a 400 plus grid today
Inge2--you would not believe what parents will name their kids!!!
he5/12 - plural of he4/5 - the one right before the uncomfortable he6/21

I am running in circles today, Wednesdays are my day for running all the errands I can think of, and today both kids also have parties at school that I am taking stuff for... in half an hour. *sigh* and I only just got home from visiting a friend.
Yeah, you should see what I named mine, lol.
yeah. someone named a cousin of mine "Scrabbler"... poor kid was so traumatized in school she ended up living with rabbits and helping people the rest of her life!
no one can go anywhere herre today... too dangerous
The boys are lucky to have a devoted Mom like you--they will always remember what you did for them.
ADHD, freezy weather. We had a few flurries today, but down here, that's a treat.
LOL, Stid! My parents did alter the spelling of my name and I have to forever spell it "correctly".
At least you still have internet ADHD.
I hear it's just nasty east of the Rockies today... hoping it's not so bad in some places!
my life line!!!
hoping no one will die in this set of storms... so sad when folks get stuck in cars trying to get to work or some stupid place...
in highschool I altered the spelling of my name and it kinda stuck, the folks spell it that way now as well.
I also altered the spelling of burritos...
we started w/snow at 9 last nite, changed to freezing rain/sleet/snow until about an hr and half ago, just snow now. very icy... they're saying to stay off the roads
Instead of burritos...
:)
okay, yesterday "madrone" was in the grid (a type of tree) and two permutations of that name. But today "acer" (maple) is not? *formal protest lodged*
i'm loving sitting on my cushy couch w/movies, babble and 12ft x 8 ft bow window (and chocolate)
so I noticed BOReetos.... halfway between cheetos and burrito and .... no wonder I am so hungry all of a sudden!
I always try "acer", hoping the Enable gods have come to their senses

re7/40 get smushed together again
mom, i've just found dumb luck works too
Mom of 3, some I know and the rest I either guess or get from clues.
for instance..there are 7 q's..i got 3 and tried everything i could think of for the rest..would you guys keep guessing or google?
the longer you play, the more familiar you become with some of the wacky words, and the easier it gets.
i knew 5 of the 7 qu words outside of babble, the other combo of 2 i know from many many days of babble experience
oh...ok..i was just curious
no idea what they mean though, lol
mom, from playing scrabble a lot, the Qs were actually easy for me. the more word games you play, the more familiar you become wiht the odd words. it's the easy ones that start to trip you up, like missing a plural!
the two i know from here, that is
ccan
mom of 3, www.a2zwordfinder.com lets you put in the first 2 letters and then gives you words to choose from
can't you hit the ? and find out?
ty mom
yeah, you can, but i'd be here all day if i looked up all the ones i never heard of... wait, i am here all day anyway...

sometimes i see a babblet i'm familiar with here in a crossword puzzle, and then because of the clue, i find out what it means, and then i remember it better than if i were to look it up here.
yeah..i gotta go study spanish...because obviously i don't know much english, since i can't find 164 words here, so i may as well try a new language!

thanks all. and to all a good night!
lol
Lavender Blue Lemonade (Limeade) In a 4-quart bowl or heat-proof pitcher use the back of a wooden spoon to lightly mash 3 cups blueberries. Add juice from 4 large lemons (1 cup) [I bet you could use limes]; reserve rinds. mix juice with 1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar. In a saucepan bring 4 cups water and 1 to 11/2 teaspoons purchased fresh or dried lavender buds to boiling. Pour through a strainer over lemon (lime) juice mixture, stir to dissolve sugar. Add lemon rinds. Cover and refrigerate 2 to 3 hours. Remove and discard rinds (they become bitter and make the drink that way - trust me on that one). Strain through a mesh sieve into a pitcher.
