I am not sure it is about being smart. I have played this game longer than you guys, I started before there were any helps nor lists, and I have a knowledge base for language because of where I live. English, french and german are always taught in dutch schools.

it might even be that english not being my first language helps. Some words that seem crazy to you, are not so crazy in dutch, or german. I also had latin and greek in high school. So it is easier to spot a root of a word, maybe.

we used to make our own bow and arrows from near by tree the older boys, who carried Knifes used to help us out. Make dens in the ditches and corn fields ( to the annoyance of the farmer). Fling ourselves off the hay stacks and in the Autumn go scrumping... too busy to get bored.:)
