I was fascinated to visit a school in Kenya two years ago. There were 69 teenagers sitting in the class, absolutely polite and able to communicate perfectly in English, their second language. I watched a bit of a documentary with Ann Widdecombe and would have needed subtitles to understand what some of the girl gang members were saying to her.
The world is truly a fascinating place.

yes it is my name pronounced shaneen accent on last syllable
sutumn, I have a problem with that because I wrote them on an old version of MSPublisher for my grandkids -- mostly letters from my dad -- and some were done BC (Before Computer) , typed and Xeroxed. I couldn't retrieve the old Publisher ones on my XP and newer version until recently when a guy in England (who found me via a remark in Babble chat) who was a computer whiz did it and sent it back -- too complicated to explain here -- haven't had time to redo it, and because it's all on Publisher it's hard to send to people who don't use it.
