WOW! Good for you Book
wish we had sales like that. watching all the commercials and all the great sales is making me jealous
we've done larger b'day/holiday (& grad for son) things this year
I have to mail most of packages and this year for the first I do not have to send everything priority. Even my family is shocked. They are sure something is wrong with me. I have been known to shop at the 24 hour drug store on Christmas eve.
been there too BOok
ga6 x 2
always gave interesting gifts from the drug store. At least they sold Liquor and choc.
I can't believe all the great sales the stores have on this far before Christmas -- even the Olympic stuff is 40% off.

Hi Frances!
hi Frances
Hi Frances!
Just a quick babble before I attack the housework.
babble's more fun!
I know Ata but there comes a time when it cannot be put off any longer!
unfortunately
I'm still hoping mine magically sorts itself out by itself
I gave up on that a long time ago.
I'm ever hopeful
When people ask what I do in the winter (no cricket) I say housework. So unless I want to be called a liar I should sort myself out.
sad about the England cricket tour
Very sad. However, on current form it avoids a complete whitewash!
I know :P sneaky, eh?
If all else fails, run.
one shouldn't laugh in the current circumstances in India, but ....!
They think the hotels have been booby trapped.
oh great. this somehow is worse than other attacks, because it's like watching a train wresck. you just know it's going to get worse
fireworks
Very scary Ata.
Well done Volley
Yay Dee!!!!

Hi BF!
hey lynxxx, Monkey and other lurkers. its friday!
YAYYY!!!! Yes it is.
Hey Ata, JB is going to be on the Breakfast sofa this morning.
oooo :) poor boy, he looked so tired yesterday
The breakfast sofa?
Breakfast on BBC TV Monkey
Aha. Really? Whaich BBC and when?
JB?
john barrowman
ahh he has been everywhere this week
BBC1 within the next 40 minutes.
He is going to be on Radio Five Live this afternoon after 1pm
On now
morning all :-)
Thanks.
Mari are you there?
Hi Katie!
He is on now ATA!!!!!!!

That squeeeee sound can only mean a Hottie conversation. :D G'd morning Babblers.

*giggling now*
Oh no!
This is mine and hubby's song being murdered
that recording was bloody awful1
he can actually sing it quite well!
Well AtaSmitten, how was the cocker rescue.... ***giggling uproariously***
BBL come to a grinding halt
he complimented Hobbit :D he said she was beautiful
Oh please!!!
This one is ironic
He does have good taste sometimes then
See ya' in a little while Lynx.
bye lynxxx
bluewater!
He is right about that, we really don't care about his sexuality, he does have a good attitude on that
absolutely
you were the one panting Ata weren't you!
and he's right, there was everyone there. but! about 95% women and 5% men
I thought that Katie
one teenaged girlie nearly fainted when she met him. really!
she had to grab onto the table to stop falling over
Since all stars and famous people are untouchable for us mere mortals, their sexuality is irrelevant to our fantasy. :p
as fanfic writers take full advantage of
that wasn't very grammatical
I don't know what fanfic is
lucky you!
LOL Aat
lots of (mainly) teenaged girls writing stories involving characters from (eg) lord of the rings, harry potter, etc
Oops - Ata
their imaginations can be very vivid. especially adult-written fanfic
I get some babble time this morning as the motorway is shut and I don't know how to get to work
Ahhhh now it makes sense
stay home! work from home!
you get threesomes involving Gandalf, a hobbit, and an orc. etc.
it is the last day of the company and we are going out for lunch. more importantly I have the bosses leaving pressie
Just stay home Katie, you deserve a long weekend.
daga is a word. it is tagalog for rat
hmmmm. annoying!
that is dagu I thought of buying two recently
Enable doesn't recognise German and you want tagalog?
daga is rat (plural) then
because mga daga means lots of rats
That's degu, Katie...
lol ata. decided with 3 cats that 2 degu were not a good idea. sorry monkey you are right
but they were ok with Fuggy!
.......and other unmentionable words!
Fuggy came first and they would have eaten him if they could have got to him
little monsters! I was looking through your facebook pics, I hadn't realised how beautiful Rhubarb is
Isn't she. Crumble is the cutest in terms of temperament though
OK, I'm off to dive into the mess called home. Have a good day and if I get fed up with housework I shall return. Bye.
Bye Frances!
Have a good one Frances.
bye Frances
bye frances!
I must show pics of Rhubarb to sister. She had ab identical looking cat. except fatter
....back. That didn't take long. No, seriously, I'm going.
Crumble is on a diet but the other two are ok weight wise
Lol Frances
Lily was a huge cat. Not so much fat really as *big*. But she slimmed down to weigh only 3lb when she was dying - she got thyroid cancer, poor babe
bless
crumble is on my lap now makes it difficult to type
awwww
hobbit is pesting at me. it's walkies time
she puts her front paws up on my chair arm and either just *gazes* at me, or paws at me. she makes her wishes very clear!
Hobbits internal clock is working well. :)
she's really quite good at that. the BST to GMT change always confuses her for a few days though, that's always amusing
evening all :)
Hi Mr. P!!!
HI mr p, haven't seen you for ages, how did the move go?
Hi mrp, Monkey, Lori, Ata and Katie.
hi mrp!
hi hydra!
hi hydra
well I'd better obey the Dog In Charge. bbs!
hi hi hi all :)) move went well. we are unpacked and enjoying the house very much!
later ata. that's good news mr p
Glad to hear it!
Very pleased to hear it! I once moved into a flat, hated it and put it back on the market next day!
hmmmm, is this one more difficult that I thought?
boy you must have really hated it hydra
oh hydra! that would have been awful!
all that moving in and out... no fun there
I have only got 39 so far mr p
I have 67 but that is all there are.
It was horrendous. The people upstairs were like a herd of elephants. The carpet was full of moth grubs and the cupboard had hidden dry rot!
Ewwwww!
lol Mg
an expensive horrendous
There are DEFINITLEY only 7 b's.
I've only got two of them!
I have been getting so so many stories from people renting about how bad the market is... nothing is being repaired and they are miserable in their homes. It has become very bad here
I've always had bad luck with buying property. In my first, there was a dope-dealing bass guitar player who strummed at 4 am when I had to get up for walk next morning. The second was under the Concorde flight path. Another had criminals and knife fights next door. And those were in GOOD areas of London like Muswell Hill!
I'm thinking of renting soon so I can get my belongings out of storage. No room for them in my boyfriend's house. Then I'll divide my time between my place and his.
thank goodness Crumble has moved my arms were killing me
It's not nice having your stuff away hydra you have my sympathy
Aah! Bless him. Maybe you need a cat sling round your neck. No, it's not good and it costs £200 a month.
Well, have to walk the dog and do the shopping and hit the post office before getting Waltyer-- school is a half day on Fridays at his age. Have fun everyone!
Bye Mlonkey!
Sorry, Katie. Bless her!
Just checked and found Crumble is a girl cat.
don't worry about it hydra she doesn't take offense. As hubby said the other day "there isn't a bad bone in her"
Flad refused his breakfast this morning. We're wondering what, or who, he ate in the night!
Just can't find the ar4. How stupid can I be?
Got it now. Doh!
I have never seen an 's' in a grid be so underused for a plural!
Good point, mrp. You're right.
Motorway not opening till 12pm I could be going to places i've never been before to get to work!
this is such a mean grid, I still only have 43 words!
why is it closed, Katie? Accident?
yep 4 lorries and a van. I have an alternative route which takes me on futher up but it is closed there as well. Might have to go via Derby which is a very long way for a short cut
Good luck! I shall be passing through Derby soon by train to visit friend in Cromford
I don't mean soon as in today. A few weeks' time.
Derby station is horrible I hope you don't have to get off the train!
Yes, to change to local line. It's not as bad as Reading station.
Derby is just very dark as there are problems with the concrete so all the pillars are wrapped
At Reading, you have to charge up and down steep flights of stairs with all your luggage when they change the platform at the last minute. I got food poisoning there from a sandwich I bought, and the ticket machine only spat out half my ticket to Cornwall so I was in trouble!
There are some places to which you never want to go again! Now I go into Paddington and out again.
I can see why Reading is not your favourite station hydra
Well, must go. Hope you get to work all right, Katie.
Good morning/evening all.
Thanks hydra see you later
morning haz
I'm going for a shower, see you all shortly
Hello Katie -enjoy the shower.
fireworks
Congratulations bf.
ty haz
G'd morning Haz, bf, anyone I missed.
Good morning Lori(Canada) How are you?
Oops, congratulations bf!
I'm evil as always, and you? :p
Wicked.
You've been busy lately, are things more leisurely today?
Yes, I can afford a little more time although I still have things to do.
Has Ata come down to earth yet after her JB encounter?
No. Hopelessly floating...
I don't think she'll land until some time next week.
We'll get FM on fire hose duty if she gets too bad.
She's been on a training course to improve her aim. FM was always enthusiastic but lacked accuracy in the past.
lol I'm sure. Is Babble paying for the course, or is she footing the bill?
It's in Babble's best interests so Dr-G has agreed to pay. I suppose you could say that the next few who sign up will be paying.
Pro-dom comes with a price - the opportunity to be hosed down by FM.
What's your strategy with this grid, Lori? I've resorted to a kind of stealth - I pretend I'm not looking and the words kind of reveal themselves. But they're slow....
I think the avearge price for a pro dom depends on the part of the country, but here it's s couple hundred dollars per hour ;)
I'm feeling very random today, thus that's my approach. With that in mind, I can delude myself in to thinking I don't have 15 words left....
:D @ Samantha
Random seems to be working for you, in that case.
Yesterday's grid was an esteem killer. I bailed to the list with 50 odd left, and...wow, good thing I did. Some weird words.
It was very strange, I agree.
nag y
G'd morning kkiln. :)
Not quite finished yet, but I've changed my icon.
Yowsa! Monkeyed a CRAZY go 4/8 6/18 combo. Ack
Nicely done on 'yer av Haz.
Thank you, thank you.
11 left, and they're certainly not leaping at me by any stretch of the imagination.
No, kind of staging a 'catch me if you can' scenario.
dr 6 -- one who organized a quarter-miler
lolol, better than how I'd'a' clued it
G'd morning BR
Hello, Lori
Good morning BabbleRabble.
Hello, Haz
This grid has everything. Music, executions, babblets, medical priorities, Japanese words, French words. And that blessed eagle's nest. All life is here.
hi 8 -- add a tatter and movie: Night of the Igu***
Clawed my way down to 9, and am fearinf gor my mental health at this point.
ir 5 --- sounds like what the FBI might do at an opthamologist's office
You are a woman of tenacity. I caved at 16. You have checked for plurals?
I'd also love to stop trying adroit as my last a word.
except no volcano
It would have been lovely, wouldn't it?
Was that some kind of dig, or friendly advice? :p
Hello Ata! No volcano, you're right. There's such a thing as overkill.
Hobbit's spent already? wb Ata
Friendly advice? From me?
ai 6 -- past tense
yep, it's raining lol
Yes, ai6 - the pilot's mascot
Ahh, that explains it. :D
Doh !
bo 5 -- larger version of the bo 4
***stomps to the back of the room in disgust***
I love that Beowulf's mead hall is a word. That makes me happy
It's not raining, Ata. That's FM manning the fire hose. She'll turn nasty if you seem to be getting past yourself with JB talk.
I've hardly mentioned him! *gasp* but did you look at the pretty pics?
I've always thought FM stood for FireMan
Very pretty pics.
Lori(Canada) has finally figured it out (good one!)
I am still immensely smug though cos he said my Hobbit was lovely
Let's think about this. Would he say anything else to a woman with a crazed look in her eye?
***cocker rescue giggle moment***
And you already knew that he was partial to the breed.
*crushed*
6 away from my first fireworks!!!!!!!!!1
A bigger test would have been a picture of a Chinese hairless. You'd have known for sure that he was lying.
Go Veru!
Or is it a Mexican hairless? One of those baldy things anyway.
need help pls da 4/7, da 5/16
da4/7 - nasty name for a foreigner.
da + opposite of stop, then plural
good morning beautiful babblers... happy babbling
HOWEVER, we know that Hobbit is lovely. It was a given that he would think so, otherwise we'd think he was blind or deluded.
got em!
Good morning oodle.
G'd morning oodle
go 5/18 and he 4/7 pls
***puts dark chocolate with almonds on the table***
ha 6 -- add cartoon: ha*** the horrible and a vowel
go5 is a plural
he4/7 - a garden plant. he plus to ** or not to **
***puts other sinful snacks on the table...(uh the ones that make you fat)...giggles***
thanks haz!!!
You're welcome.
omg last two!!! ir 5/12, na 4/5 pls!!!
yay I just got a biiiiig parcel. wheee! nice mail man
***stuffs snacks in pocket for later***
Yea for big packages! ***beyond giggling now....***
*dies* lmao
***ribs...sooooooo sore now***
ir 5 -- add a shovel: sp***
na 4 = none
*desperately trying not to laugh or else hobbit will get up and bounce around more*
thxs babble
Or na4/5 - a type of ointment (spike****)
I admire a big package. With that, my ribs and I must wake the spawnlings. BBL
See you later Lori!
thxs lori I GOT THEM ALL FIREWORKS FOE ME!!!
Congratulations!
***Lurked long enough to say*** Congratulations Veru!
congrats.
congrats.
congrats.
congrats.
congrats.
and congrats x 5 from BR!
yeah ver
hero
miss sarah richards, how many words do you have?
I actually heard Babble's congrats as a kind of tuning up for a choir/barbershop.
thanks to all if anyone needs help I'll be up for about a half hour too excited to sleep now!!!!
***explative***
loooool yes
Nixon always deleted his expletives as well.
wtg ver
well, was a sincere congrats
Oh, I know, Babble, I wasn't intending to say anything wrong about it.
*sings Bad Horse Chorsu quietly to self*
*chorus
Oh, I thought you might have been unpacking the parcel. Could it contain John Barrowman?
It does come from America!
Ooooh!
but I can't open it cos I know it contains Christmas stuff
Morning all Lovely pics of JB Ata, morning Haz and BR :)
Oh well. You'll have to contain yourself for a while. Is Hobbit interested?
she will be when I open it, cos it'll smell of Ayla's dog
she's too busy sleeping at the moment
Good morning FMitch! Ata thought it was raining, I've told her that it's you on fire hose duty (Lori(Canada) reckons that FM stands for fireman) and you'll turn nasty if she waxes too lyrical about you know who.
hello, FM
I take it Hobbit and Ayla's dog haven't met yet?
lol trust Lori
nooooo ... one day they will though, I'm sure. Ro would benefit from having Hobbit around actually, she might calm him down a bit
Hobbit as a calming influence? Ro must be VERY bouncy.
It looks like a 'intersting' grid today wy too many vowels.
FM Financial Management
he's a 18month old heeeler / collie mix
A good one, Babble.
That explains everything, Ata.
BR's suggestion is preferable to being a fireman
didn't think I needed to say more
Fundamentally Mad could be another one
or fiscal management
If you specialised in sorting out the affairs of firemen you could be FMFM.
fleetwood mac
LOL!
Branch out to sea and you could look after fishermen. FMFMFM
Football Managers! They earn lots of money... FMFMFMFM.
goodnight all and enjoy the grid :)
Haz is on a roll
Night Veruca, and well done on fireworks.
be well
etc until we get to FM98.5 or some radio station
fibber mcgee
Husband picked up his new car yesterday. Now comes a month of him trying to work out how things work without consulting any instruction booklets.
OK this is not finding words **does a graceful dive into the pool* Why is it me refuse to read instructions or maps?
doesn't it come with instructions??!
Reading instructions takes away the fun out of poking and opening and pressing buttons to see what they do.
ohhhh. yes very true
He happily reads maps, but not instructions. PHone...
well at least he's useful for one thing
I'm back.
Ata meant to ask - what was JB actually signing - book or CD?
CD
Was the CD playing in the background?
ohhhhhh yes. all blooming afternoon
Did people sing along?
one of the M&S staff girls did. It was cringeworthy
I mean, it's one thing to show a picture of your cocker spaniel, true fans show their devotion by singing along.
Maybe the M&S girl thought it was X factor or something.
there are nearly all old songs on the CD. too old for me to know the words
*shakes head in Ata's direction*
Ah, the old songs are the best. (Thinking wistfully of the singsongs during the Blitz)
some were even from the 70s!
*perks up*
As long ago as that?
yep!
I've got a mental picture of FM in her turquoise dungarees again.
FM - funky mama!
Those were the days when she would bo5/20 on down to the disco.
the fav photo I've got of my mother is her wheeling me somewhere in a pram, I was just a few weeks ago, but it was a proper old-fashioned pram, and she was wearing a skinny rib bright green jumper and AWFUL bright yellow flares
and now of course we want to see the pic :)
It sounds pretty normal for the seventies.
uh-oh -- I just bought a bright green cardi though I don't have any yellow pants
Evening Lynxxx :)
I hadn't got a copy on my laptop *sigh* otherwise I'd show you!
Well, get some, lynxxx. Fashions always come around.
hi FM & Haz
hi lynx!
Evening lynxxx.
Can't believe I have just spent a couple of mins typing s words and then checked the tile stats - this does not bode well!
loooool
I hate starting the grid late, it really throws me
Anyway, time for me to do other things. I'll be back later. Happy babbling to all.
bye Haz
Bye Haz TTFN
Bye!
law of diminishing returns, perhaps
bye haz!
Oh, and check my icon, FM, although it's for an a. Byee!
G'd morning again
hi BabRab
Hey Lori :)
Thanks Haz!! how did you know I was missing As
Thank you for the icon clue, Haz!
hello, lynxxx
hi Lori
FM, the grid is poopy, after 100 words. :/
morning, all. I'm doing Babble quickly today. Lots of cooking to do...
yes, it is
hi Angel
G'd morning Angel
I've only just started Lori and it's poopy already
I did not find a single scatological word
hmmph, SOME people have 100 words
but the chat has been fun
Well, you don'ty have my level of expertise in poopy grid assessmernt BR.
Maybe I'll just chat, and skip the last 8 then. That would be redeeming. :D
So true BR but none the less the general feeling is such.
henry viii's form of divorce
but there is some dried mucus
*passes BR a wetwipe* ;)
maybe no scatological, but one mucosal-ish
BR thinks it's funny, but its snot. :O
groans!
***tough room*** :p
Well, I lost that round of chat Russian roulette
was distracted, battling with the r's
lol sorry, overwhelmed by the idea of 4 more Gs to find
I'm only missing 1 g, 2 r's.
morning ladies:)
Only ..... :) G'd morning cross!
Hi Crossy
hi crossy
I wish I was!
Morning crossy (())
Only is a very flexible word.
bo 6,30 clue please
very bendy
ga x 4, ge x 2, go x 5
I was in deep thought about the rectitude of dried mucus being snot, Lori. I wa snot paying attn
hi Merk - read BabRab comment
let's not go rectal
fm:)))(()) and a hug to the rest of my favorites as well(())
bo 6 was discussed below Merk, and BR just did again
***why did FM draw a bum for cross?***
Silverweed's Song is very nice, Atalante
cos I don't know how to draw long legs *grin*
oh! ty!
heh ***again with the legs*** :p
about mucus?
well I heard crossy was a leg man *blushes*
Oh yes, I see, hehe
someone say long legs?? where?
Yes Merk. What a noseminer picks.....
ty all
this-----> ((((())))) is a hug and not a tushy
Anyway Lori that was a hug not a derriere
***my mind must be in the gutter***
this---> (|) is a tushy
non-stop LA to london would be a long leg
Would FM on a boat be legacy?
Thats about 9 hours BR, London to J'burg is a long leg 12hrs
LOL good one Lori
san franciso to saigon, 31 hours, is longish
thats more like hellish
Yay - found my missing G's - ga6 has made an appearance again
The 6/7, or is there 1 more ga 6?
so is UK to Auckland
to take a ga6 6 too
the 6/7 as well as the ga6.27
Gads. I missed the Newfoundland city...... Thanks Lynx, BR. G's done

Is the ga 6,7 a combo? I need a clue please ... that or a cup of coffee to jar my brain.
Hi and bye Aloy!
Enjoy 'yer breakfast Aloy!
hello, Aloyisius
pumping is probably not a good word to use around LOri today
bye Aloy - have fun
It's a combo Merk. ga + a method of learning
***ribs ... aching ... again***
nah - its a method of strangling
sounds like the sheriff that shot billy the kid
zoomed through the g's
ty so much
Is there just the 2 re's?
yes

Oreos in milk--yummy!

Do you use Neet much, Luc?
I need another top O--I have or5.
how's Vietnam these days kathryn ?
lol scrabs - would be a waste of time ...
Haha, Luc.
try the US state or close to it
That is from the left O.
it is lovely, monte... trying to decide where to go next
you went East I see kathryn... and missed most of Africa...
or4 = remove a vowel from or5
TY, Luc...that was simple to do.
east seemed more appealing at the time... was craving asian street food
ahh makes sense...

why
aaaeeeeeiiiooo
hi hurshy
i see you've looked at the grid
Kim, Babble Rabble gave this clue a bit ago: hi 8 -- add a tatter and movie: Night of the Igu***
hi 8 --- add tatter and a lizard: igu***
im very random, oodle, i do very weird things on a regular basis... lol hushy
indeed.
she wasn't being doragatory(however you spelled the damned word)
me and my brother had it bad it was"dammit, will you stop touching that" and jeasus christ, leave your sister alone" one day she said to me "dammit! will you clan up your room?" and i said"but mom,im jeasus christ"..i dont remember much after that:)
derogatory
hi crosshair
lol crossy!!!

oodle..go have some more tea....;)
that is good
what happened kje... did you fall or something?
well I thought it was funny....

Morning kje Congrrats kim
WOOHOO KIM!!!
hi FM
ok, time for a lil breakfast... bbl
wtg kim and nono
i feel your pain kje,2 years ago i had my ankle opened up on both sides to remove a bunch of bone spurs that were growing off a old break
was going to start my fruit cake today but I don't have any nuts... and no I don't use them for door stops...
flosey, hello how nice to bump into you :)
home made fruit cakes can be good
hi Mitch, nice to see you again
brb
All well with you?
oodle, you can always start your cake - just mix to fruit with brandy and let it sit until you're ready to do the rest
yum... I love it love to load it withlotsof dried fruit and nuts
mix **the** fruit
sorry about that my net died
yup let it soak up all that wonderfull boo ze for as long as possible;)
I use rum
i saw a recipe recently that called for dried fruit instead of candied...loked good...
hi herin
Snap on the soaking in brandy Flosey
and frangelico
Hi
'looked'
The one my mom makes (and I made once) is mostly pecans.
dried fruit in a cake is lovely as it absorbs the flavours
if you use rum oodle try "appleton estates dark spiced rum"
yum I LOVE pecazns
i have appletons
I don't have to worry about that Christmas day stuff. We pay the relatives
but not spiced...
lol, I always soak the fruit in brandy way ahead of time - don't have to age it as long
The recipe actually called it Texas Pecan Candy cake... and I use rum instead of brandy. =)
my brother has about 30 pounds of pecans from the trees on his property
i am going over to steal some
OH KJE wonderful yummie
lucky brother kj, I love pecans
and lucky me... since they already shelled them - LOL
we have a walnut tree but they don't compare with pecans
brilliant
got to go get dried fruit and nuts today
OH you know how I made that lemon butter?
i like both, flos... very different
any clues needed before i depart?
don't know it I wanna bake my cheese cake ot chocolate torte ...
yes
now crossy is thinking of big jumbo cashews:)
kim... i am just getting started (5 in) so too early for me
oh yum crossy
I now have 3 orders for it when the lemons appear
I vote for chocolate torte oodle
yum I love cashews
good luck kje...not too bad a grid today...
i keep getting interrupted by friends on skype... first a girl in lyon and now a friend in cyprus - brb
I have to go for now... back in a few hours!
ive been contemplating skype..take my internet off the phone line and hook up cable inter net,get skype then thell bell canada to go take a flying leap off a short dock
i have bell too... it seems a bit steep I agree cross
i only have a cell phone and the computer dsl - gave up a landline with the move... decided to see what it would be like since lots of young people do it... no sense anymore to have both
the base service is more than your long distance charges with bell:(
what about 911 serivce with skype kje?
oh who suggested the other day to get a cell phone cause I missed a call from a prospective employer?
i did oodle
well I did
911 on cell phone if needed (as i did when broke ankle) - works fine
I only have my mobile and a portable internet as we have only one carrier in the house and they suc
so now I have more mobility
and with skype?..i hear that 911 cannot trace the call if you cannot speak
good stuff oodle
Good Oodle make sure it works for you not the other way round
i only use skype for overseas stuff, mostly.... my cell phone for everything else
ahh
cute icon pic herin
cause the lowest i can get my bell bill(and this is making NO long distance calls) is $44.00
KJE i understand that. My mobile has 500 min free to other users of the same carrier. Since the b.f is on the same and so is my g.f it works
ok what is the dif tween skyp and msn ... you can do the same with msn though
Thanks KJE
skype allows you to talk, msn is just instant messaging, unless it has changed
Yep. I use msn to natter to my friends (typing) I dont ahve skype.
skype is completely free... and can talk and use camera also if you want
you CAN send 2 minute voive packets via msn now..but i wouldnt use it for extended voice chat
but I think you can do that with msn too
skype operates voice wise exactly like a phone
ima gonna google skype im thinking
SKype is like a phone. MSN is good to type chat
via the camera... it is like the person is there - a friends kid did the shabbat blessing the other day via skype from denmark... his dad held the computer and would point it around so that the kid could see evryone - it was funny
and of course, we could see him
the world is getting smaller and smaller via technology, it is amazing
did evryone go to look up skype??? hello???
lol
lol, I'm here
whew! I thought i had entered the twilight zone
grandson and I use to talk on msm messenger, when he was about 4, he stood up on his chair, turned around and mooned me, then giggled of course
do do do do do do do do
that is great flos
you ahve entered a dimension of sight and of sound and of mind, you have entered....the babble zone
i have a cousin in iraq who keeps up with his very young kids that way... very different than military men years ago who would not see/hear their families for more than a year
it is all in my imagination kje... nothing is really as it seems... your computer is in the control of...THE BABBLE ZONE
that is actually kind of true oodle - LOLOL
yes, that is truly great kj, so great to be able to see your kids while over there
be even greater if he did not have to go there in the first place
right BabRab
i also have friends that watch movies together over the internet while in different countries... they make a movie date, upload from netflix simultaneously, then chat via skype to comment while watching - like they were actually together
i agree BR - hopefully obama will get them out soon
amazing really isn't it kj, better than being in the movie where you have to be quiet!
it is astounding to think about, flos... just everyday life to the teenagers i know, but completely different than the way we grew up
flosey where is salt spring Island... is it by vancouver island?
oodle, SSI is between Vancouver Island and the Mainland
2 cent stamps 25 cent gas first telephone number was 454
it's one of the Gulf Islands
had to enter gerd... knew it wouldn't be there - but like a darn compulsive habit
good morning all, looks like a tough grid
well, i am not THAT old BR - LOLOLOL
no zip codes
gulf islands????

YAY the snot word was accepted!
hello hello
lol, harp.. its a funny word
hello wildcat
Hi wildcat!
bo5/18 - apparently means backwater, starts with swamp + indefinite article for before vowels
HE 7/36 is past tense of HE 5/12 - a major organ in the human body
Thanks!
It is a combination of a swamp and a popular cartoon character
tried bogart also - anyone else?
ty, JMann, needed that one
kje, if you want to go to a historic restaurant, I see that Le Procope is still there--established in 1686 and frequented by Voltaire . . . my ex and I had dessert there once . . . soooo interesting and charming

there is a go4 here that is a theatre word - it is the filter you put over lights to change their colors/shapes
No..?
And I just asked Walter to pick out toys he doesn't want anymore and he selected two HUGE bags full, indeed stuff he hasn't played with in forever. Including the 6-foot-long stuffed orange fish. So I am right pleased myself.
he is a good guy..

go4/8 is a LOT
go4 is one who attends
Leslie Ann = HI 8/55 = try the opposite of letting someone go from their job, minus the last letter + the amount of years you've been alive is your ***, minus the last letter + "This *** that" changing the last letter to the first letter of the alphabet
another go4 is sticky stuff, plural
I'm sure there is an easier way to clue that, I just couldn't come up with it

harpjane - you asked for a clue on the A in the fourth row - took a while to figure out which A word that was, but it is that pink gelatenous substance in small round jars that Doctors rub a swab over after they've scraped your throat

In my attempt to get this house in order (it is a small apartment) after 4 months of trying to not kill my back further, is it wrong of me to keep this one toy? It's a baby toy. Walter never plays with it. It was given to uys by the person we bought our stroller form while I was pregnant. It's a little red pony I named Steinbecks. Anyway, the person who gave it to us turned out to be his radiologist later while he was critical at two days old. Someone tell me it's not silly to keep it...

We care a lot. Let us care for you.

Good evening all......phaeton, I care!

Congrats wvt!!

No, it's not. At least you get the clues! And it's nice just to have a conversation without going into all the whys and wherefores of your life.
Go ahead Judi....I'm tough!
Standing by with first aid kit, careful Judi, dont hurt her !!
Had any bad dreams lately?
SPIDERS ATA
I'm kidding. Torture is so unseemly. Besides, tickling is much more effective.
hmmm. anyone know anything caring to say about spiderphobia?
Oooh. Spiders. This one will take a lot of work.
No, but I probably wouldn't share them anyhow
I was surprised with myself when I asked for prayer for my granddaughter last June...I just did the first thing I could think of
Caring things about spiderphobia? You're not alone!
Don't watch the movie "Arachnaphobia". That will give anyone nightmares.
Was that the little girl in Hong Kong?
share if you want, don't if you don't. we care anyway *nods wisely*
Never! Judi, can't stand crawly things...won't even watch Charlottes web
Thanks Ata
Wow, Phae. You've got it bad!

I met John Barrowman yesterday! Did y'all know that???!!
Who?
(John Barrowman is an actor/singer who appears in Dr WHo)
Mmm. I'm not a big fan of e-cards. I like to make the postal employees work.
LOL Ata, did you get his autograph?
Ok, pay their salaries...that are already inflated
Ata is very keen on him. She's the next best thing to being a stalker, if truth be told.
Dr. WHo who?
Do I detect a note of ... SMUGNESS in your tone, Ata????
no, that's Lizsark. She's the real Barrowman stalker!
wonder what his partner would think of that?
time to get some work done - bye all
Dr Who - BBC series that's been going on for decades. Sci-fi stuff.
Bye wv.
smug? moi??!!
Watched an episode of Extras where Ricky Gervais played a "space serpent" on Dr. Who. Very funny. Think Dr. Who is silly though. Very low budget.
Nobody has ever called Ata smug before. I'm confused.
Ok,thanks Haz
not any more!
It's true, Haz. She plays all innocent, but in reality - smug-o-rama.
It's a veritable smugasboard.
of course!
But she's a bearable smug. Others aren't.
Stoopid internet connection !! Ata you are not smug are you?
*GROAN* hi all...
hey all - poofing back in....
smug? moi? omg-i-met-john-barrowman-*SMUG*!
I suppose you don't get to be Einstein's granddaughter without a little bit of smugness sticking.
((((((stid))))))) Hi, how are you?
Hello stid. Are you ill?
hey trifioso! how was yesterday!
hey haz... ill?
Hi Tri
I tease because I love.
But Ata. Is John Barrowman similarly smug today. 'I met Atalante from Babble yesterday!'
awesome! Totally relaxing, just wonderful. Okay, so I am only DYING to know how the john barrowman experience went....
I love to tease
Because you were groaning, stid.
*faint* you met JOHN BARROWMAN!!!! *sigh*
How many R/6's?
I should hope he is!
oh. well, I am a little ill from all the smugness floating around.
Settle back. Ata is about to go into smugasphere.
OMG, you met him???? Wait til I tell my friend Amy, she is going to or6
see? Stid understands!
and if John isn't smug from meeting our Atalante, then he's not worth the effort
Just one r 6.
*SMUGWORLD*
The feeling will pass, Stid... like a methane cloud.
She still hasnt told me if she got his autograph
yes, I did. And an autograph for Lizsark too
ty Haz
She used a photograph of Hobbit. That innocent dog, used as a ploy.
and he complimented my Hobbit
no autograph for me??? *sad look*
ohhhhh heaven!
tricksy :D
You're welcome, phae.
liz asked first :P
Was he suitably impressed that you were a second generation product of the fruit of Einstein's loins?
When will you sell it on e-bay, Ata?
*gasp* I shall treasure it forever!
Ooooh yes, did you tell him about Grandpa?
One RH word?
einstein's fruit-of-the-looms??? atalante? *puzzled look*
yes, one rh fish. or bird...
Just one, phaeton.
ty stid...and hello
no, no I didn't. we were too busy discussing cockers
Dogs??
LOL, Cait. Perverted mind.
He was on TV this morning and Im sure he mentioned you Ata
we are watching the local TV... stidkid#1 will be on soon. with his H.S. band.
he has a baby versio of Hobbit: http://tinyurl.com/5gx26a
Did he sing this morning?
Look for the least tall trumpet player...
yes, much to katie's disgust
Oh, how sweet, Ata. He can call you for puppy raising tips. Swanky cocktail parties are in your future at his estate, no doubt.
puppy sitting is likely too
phone.back in a mo
cute pups!
The dogs are sweet. But do assure Hobbit, that in the words of the song 'Nothing compares to you'
well, let's be honest... one Hobbit = 100 other dogs. of any breed.
of course! oh - his ex-black cocker was gorgeous *finds pic*
Now hold on, stidmama. Spangle is in the room.
oh, well that's easy to fix... one Spangle = 10 Hobbit.
And she's looking downright woebegone at such a suggestion.
this is how I knew he'd love HObbit: http://tinyurl.com/5pdwsw
stopping now while I still have a head...
Spangle is worth at least 120 other dogs
Uh oh. Battle of the celebrity K-9s.
in the PB< stid
You're good at getting out of tricky situations, stid.
Dogs of Glory!
*melt* what a lovely guy he was!
brb phone
is the longer y word similiar to the shorter one? No other hint wanted at this time, please.
his old black cocker is just what Hobbit will look like in a few years
never mind, I have both y words now
Back again.....
okay... me back too.
wanna share, lindy?
Right, I must get into the kitchen to get things done. I hadn't intended to sit down for so long (still got my coat on from my walk). Happy babbling!
the short word is similar to a cartoon bear's name
Bye Haz, see you tomorrow
Bye!
yes, I have that one...
later Haz! *tosses kisses to spangle*
bye dear!
I'm off to clean the bathroom. BBL.
later judi...
Bye Judi
I wish SkyNews would stop talking about back passages
the longer one is like the last name of a guy named Chuck, minus one vowel in the middle
oooh! the kids are on TV RIGHT NOW!!!!! *excited mama look*
let me know if that is enough, I can hint a little more
thanks lindy... hold on..
yayyyy!
I can't see him... *grumpy mama look* the camera work SUX
we'll have to back up the DVR and inspect it.
Thats very exciting though stid
who is this Chuck? is it a YA or a YI?
test pilot from the golden age
it's YA on the board... but Chuck's name start's YE.
flew the X1 etc
oh well...
so I misspoke... the missing vowel is near the beginning
oh! okay, I know Mr. supersonic...
GOT IT! thanks lindy!
ok, great. =)
can I have a tiny hint for the or 5, 12 ? I know it is in the upper right of the board...
I am not making fast progress on this grid. is it hard to others, too?
I am having a woeful time, stid
O, you're not wasting time doing something to twilight, are you?
good morning all
yes, it's hard. too many vowels, too many the same to be easy
I usually don't use the lists available until I get 100 words in, but today - not so much
ha... funny one! I got it, thanks.
and I have already done that. it was ok.

Hi for now folks. STID!!!!
it went very well. in fact, it was one of the best ones we've had at my dad's house in a while, very mellow. mom's house, sadly, i was fighting a migraine, and it didn't leave until we were home at naptime.
MONKEY!!!! how are you todau? how's the back?
he 6/27, please?
yeah, she saw i had babble up on the screen, and said "aww!" lol, i think she wanted to do some
she's had her dinner tonight :D breakfast might me more interesting!
oh, I hate the almost-migraine feeling...
LOL
congrats, inge
glad things were nice at your dad's house
it was more than almost stid. it was one. but a lot of food, coke, and a second shower beat it back, for once.
gonna run, weed, but take your scrabble turns when you get over to FB
k, i will
yes, stid, my hubby and silaw cooked our dinner, cause I took daughter and granddaughtrs to see the parade from the smoking dekc at Orchestra Hall. Noone was smoking. Everybody was phtographing
later kje
inge -- could you please give me clues for the he 6/27 and hi 8?
Well, you know, back sucks. It's just going to do that, apparrently. But otherwise OK. I sent my open application letter to a friend for proofreading (about that place I would LOVE to work), and she said it was really excellent, so I'm right pleased about that. Letters are entirely different here... and not just by dint of beingin Dutch.
that's wondeful, inge! must have been nice to have that vantage point.
good for you, Monkey. I am worried about doing the apps for the master's program in a couple months.
yep, and they let me park for free, since I am working there so often\\
he6.27 he & everything is the ***den *s blooming
Hang in there! I know you'll be fine! You're too smart and interested not to be. But I understand being concerned anyway. I'm terrified about my last few major assignments right now.
master's apps are easy. if you've got the qualifications and the money, they'll let you in!
I keep wanted to make "naiad" -- any help on the N words?
hi8 japanese writing hi & piece of unwanted cloth & Lady Di***
One means nothing at all, Stid.
hello all!
ah, but this program allows only about 30 people each year. very hard to get in to... a lot will depend on my scores on the tests I am going to be taking.
The other one is somewhere a man doesn't want to be kicked... but just one of them.
thanks for nothing, monkey!
(always wanted to say that)
Hi Peri!
Hee, hee!

Oh well, in that case, mo...
Your life is already sweet enough.

we were supposed to be sorting Pini out!!
Hi, all! Hmm...this grid looks...hmm.
I have this idea I'm going to rethink the "sugardaddy" aspect though
Oh right, Pini. And she doesn't need to dispose of a sourdaddy.
unithorn ... a bit tricky today!!
been there, done that, vi
Did you use the basement method?
I wish!
or the attic?
People do have a tendency to ask awkward questions about that, though.
Sadly, neither...however, I did see him a few weeks ago when he came to see my dau for her 22nd birthday...
...first time in over 14 years...
....holy cow has he gained ALOT!!!!

yo
Hi Sheimi.
ty, Mo ....took so long because it was to the first dr4 +2vowels instead of the last dr4.
thats ok ... glad you got it.
ty, again
yw.
back with lunch
anything nice Pini?
chili and rice
lunch??? what time zone are you in? I'm thinking happy hour!
with tomatoes, onions and sour cream
mmmm .... nice....
it's 2:10pm here
I'm just starting my day (it's 1415 here)
go Unit go!!!
10.10pm here.
I was thinking you were east coast pini
my kinda guy (gal)
nah, I'm west coast, kje ;)
1611 here and I will be leaving soon to meet friends for margaritas
Ooh...margaritas! Sounds good.
margaritas, chips, salsa, and great grilled meats and grilled veggies
it is all about the chips salsa and tequila as far as i am concerned
El Toritos?
el toritos?
<-- doesn't do Takillya anymore...
it's a restaurant out there that has that kind of happy hour
See, I can't find a good mix. Any place here that makes a good margarita has mediocre food, and the best places for mexican food either don't sell booze or make watery margaritas....no justice in the world.
never heard of it pini - must be an oregon thing (and they no nothing about mexican : )
too much food and booze at this time of night.
we don't, kje?
I think you'd be surprised! ;)
where is here uni?
know nothing, i mean
West Coast
pini - when i moved to MD, everyone was convinced they knew the best little mexican place - NOT!
Unit is down the road from me by about 3 hours!
Oh, I didn't say we had the best...but we do have some pretty decent authentic places...
must make my quiet exit ... goodnight all.
what is acceptable up there generally is not in CA, AZ, NM, or TX
...but like Unit said, nothing that has both good drink and good food...
Acutally, I've had some decent Mexican while here in Oregon...and anyone that's had REAL Mexican knows the difference.
Night mo.
GN mo - sorry for the ing=digestion this late at night! take some zantac and sleep well - LOL
nite mo!
hi guys! popping in at the end of the work day for a few words...
lol ... I will byeee....
that was suppose to say indigestion - my typing is unusually bad tonight, even for me
hi sean
hi sean
hi kathryn, hi pinikula
Unit...you M/F?
female
kk
and you?
and why?
F
clues on o words please
*head explodes*
her profile says female, pini
and pini - why a green head?
ob4 - woodwind
I didn't go snooping, kje!
green head?
og4 - og + double vowel
what are you talking about?
oh4 - sounds like a US state sorta
or4 - or + what TV shows are interrupted by
ob4 = muscial insrument
or5 - o + re4
ugh... maybe this was a bad idea... i really didn't want to be at work today and this requires using my brain too
your icon head is green pini
but this is fun brain usage, sean
thank you everybody
it's purple...genderless...cuz I don't care much for pink heads and I can't get blue without being a guy! ;(
pini - you have an androgynous fisher toy head
very true... but i'm just ready to go home
no, it looks green to me... def not purple
Sean - go home
ok ok ... I'll go normal! ;)
I noticed that...bothersome. I don't like pink either, which is my sudden and new brilliant excuse for drinking strawberry margaritas so quickly. Get rid of thie pink!
*hasn't REALLY woke up yet*
beter?
er...better?
thanks kathryn....but i just got new client coming in the door and she wants to start a policy... looks like i won't get out of here on time after all! :(
much

that was troll-like - LOLOL
that was troll-like - LOLOL

Sean...6 mins til closing? Ask her to come back next business day!
my chog is broken... see you later

a
ahhhh...didn't knwo that...
good lord... OK, I'm off
anyone need clues?
Yes, oooh, yes! The right side E?
I just got home from work. It is snowing hard.
NM--I just found it.
**quick interjection while she signs paperwork** correction: business manager :) don't own the place! but yes, I stay late if that's what the client needs...
you rock, sean!
Business is good for business.
really, scrabs? I wish we had snow!
care to share?
ea5 = excited, zealous
sorry...not the clue...the snow!!! ;)
but good clue!
We have lots, Pini, with another 3-6 inches expected by the AM.
Pini - We had frost down here the other night, as in enough to need to scrape my windshield with a credit card at 0600...my Alaskan roots laughed at myself for being annoyed with it.
Help with the Y's?
You're from AK, Unit...I lived up there for 3 years!
*laughing about improvising with a credit card**
ya5 = (Y)Ja***meister (alcohol)
TY, Pini
ya = ya + Government Issue
Scrab...think BooBoo's friend that talking about pikanik baskets...but slightly different
And TY again.
it's rather amazing what one can do with a credit card!!!
Where in AK, Unit?
I need another N--I have the one meaning zilch/nothing
You probably haven't heard of it, microdot of a town called Healy.
n + a**vark
TY, Pini
You're right...but then again I was there when I was little...
...lived just outside Fairbanks.
yw scrabs
Where were you, Pini?
Ft. Wainright
Been there, lol. I lived about two hours south of fbx, we went there for groceries/hospital/dentists/fast food/so on. The better half grew up in fbxs...I still have friends up there of course, but yeah I know ft. wainright.
I was there when the Chena River overflowed...
...back in, I think, '69?
Oh, okay. I'm like "WHY CAN'T I REMEMBER THAT?"...but I didn't pop into existence until 1986.
Well, that WOULD make sense...you're my dau's age then (25?)
Uni, you are a young 'un.
How many words today?
alot! ..
22, but close enough.
108, godthaab
Thanks.
ok...closer to my younger dau! 22
guess I need to go back to school for some math
No, because then we'll lose you to Iron Sudoku.
*glares at silly number people*
HA! I use that as a last resort!!!
Man...I was cruising right along with this grid, and it's like I randomly crashed into a brick wall.
Oh, we've all experienced that at some point today!
Me too, so I just opened the list, am I am going, "Duh! How did I miss THOSE?!"
be5 anyone?
be5 = started
I've never opened Lickety's list. I'm making myself complete a grid based on my own brainnoodles (and clues, to be fair) before I do that.
Well, isn't that just a DUH moment, again! TY, Pini
Uni, I get as far as I can, then, in the interest of time, I open the list.
yw scrabs...
I've only been coming to the site for a couple of weeks and rarely have the time (let alone the brains) to finish, so yeah. Huzzah for pointless goals.
I open the list after finding what I can on my own and from clues -- ok...when I'm desparate!
go unit go!
I need a break--BBS
hb scrabs! ;)
Does anyone know anything about installing anti virus programs?
some...what are you trying to do?
intall an anti virus program from a disk
cd rom sorry
yes
Hi, kids. Shut down any other programs you have running, MLFAN. Then start the CD rom.
hi judi
okay, finally gonna start trying to get out of here!
Also, disable any firewall and/or current virus protection you may already have.
Judi, if i get off the internet how do i check to see if other programs are running or not?
(Start it by clicking the START button and then RUN...)
have a good night all, and good luck with babbling
night sean!
Sorry - should have said close out other applications - like word, excel, etc.
o i turn my fireewall off?
It is okay to exit out of your internet browser as well. Your new anti-virus software will make any internet connections it needs once it starts running.
Yes, turn off firewall or program may not load correctly or completely.
i ahve NOrton and i ahve a disk for save and restore do i need to do that first?
Consequently, you will have to stop Babbling as well. (Sad, but true.)
Yes Judi that much i know lol
off to play cards...back later
bye pinik
You shouldn't need to store/save anything. Just disable Norton before you load the new anti-virus software. Once the new AV ware is installed, your computer should prompt you to restart. This will save everything you've been working on.
any help with the Bs would be greatly appreciated...I have the ale, bo+***ster(bad guy), golf term, ghost or something from the nose, and what the ghost says...what am I missing?
its jsut another disk if soemthing happens right?
Yes, MLFAN. Save your Norton disc in case you decide to re-install it or troubleshoot problems with Norton.
Are you just installing an updated version of Norton or is it completely different AV ware?
isntalling it
BE6/40: Really bad hair day after the guillotine.
BE6/30 rather.
Norton Internet Security 2009
Norton Internet Security 2009
lol, ty judi :o)
Okay. It will probably prompt ask you during the install if you want to replace/remove the old version of Norton. Most definitely click "yes".
i dont have it
i got that one too Nonnie lol
The G's are just insane today. I have two left to find and I only know what three of them mean. Crazy.
I still have 6 of them left to find, judi...I'm struggling with this entire grid.
the booklet says if i have other firewall programs that are installed on my computer symantec strongly recommends that you remove them to prevent installation erors..
nonnie same here i could only find 31 words in less then a half hour
slow going...
Okay. Well if the Norton Internet Security 2009 has a firewall, then it's okay to remove the old one.
do you think it will prompt me to do so as i have no idea how to do that but assuming i go to uninstall programs?
Nonnie i agree
Since the instructions say to remove the old firewall before installing Norton 2009, remove the old firewall first. If you have an icon on your desktop for the current firewall/AV ware, just right click on it. The properties menu should pop up. Somewhere in there should be an uninstall button. Otherwise, go to the add/remove programs.
People are insane! A Walmart employee was trampled to death due to out of control shoppers trying to get "the deal".
I should ask, do you using Windows?
I hope it wasn't my son ..
Are you using Windows. Uhg. 6 ozs. of beer and I'm slurring my typing already.
Yes windows
Hello, Room
Hello Doodah
Black Friday shopping is one of the stupidest traditions on the planet. I won't go within 100 yards of a store on this day.
So, what is this Babble game, anywat
Okay, MLFAN. Rock on.
I hope it wasn't either, tor...is he in New York?
Judi thanks lol.. i talked to a few people who started shopping today very early
AM'
No, here in San Diego ..
Anyway i am out bye guys
I agree Judi. It makes no sense now because a lot of these "sale" items can be purchased online.
Good, tor. Of course that doesn't mean he wasn't in harms way because I hear people everywhere get crazy on this day.
Hey, I love the thrill of the hunt as much as any other girl, but online shopping RULES!
Doodah, you're trying to make words by using the letter tiles.
words of 4 or more letters
is it times or just go for it?
He didn't open today, so I'm sure didn't have too much trouble .. 5 a.m. is when the insanity is ..
Good luck with the install MLFAN. If anything goes wrong, we never had this conversation!
no, it isn't timed. a new grid every 24 hours
lol judi
I'm going to go feed my face. You kids have a good night. See you tomorrow.
When my daughter worked at walmart a few years back, one of her co-workers was bit by a shopper. She wasn't taking the cover off of the merchanise fast enough.
bye bye judi
Nonnie - that's just...unspeakable!
I agree!
hello again folks

walmart....has everything cheaply made in China.
dunno, cross. I'd heard the other day that each Wally had 10 laptops to sell @ $300
oh i know that..just thought they had 100 dollar i-phones or something going on
a friend of my son's had said she was going to camp out at her local one
no clue
I'd need to be paid a lot more than $300 to shop at wal*marts, but that's me....
LOL, pam
wek have gad 300 dollar lappys on all week at ours, but no ones interested cause they are acers
I buy some stuff there. when you live on SS, you do some things you'd really rather not
hi everyone
I think theirs were Compacs?
hey, andree
but buy most groceries @ Kroger - unionized
I think frankly people are in a desperate mood and very poor and stupid behavior occurs.
I've got an Acer monitor
turtle, that's worse than poor and stupid, IMO
whats wrong with acers, it was my first laptop and is now being used by my grandaughter, far better than the toshiba i have now
I dunno, andree. I do know I've got a dead pixel on this monitor that happened in less than a year
but it's only one ....
I shop at Publix, and target mostly, but do get a prescription at Wal mart, it just o much less....

and water? lots of water?
you know booze is dehydrating
I am fine tyger - i only had 3 drinks, it will pass quickly... but should not lie down
Did you know, tyger and red, that WalMart insists that companies package items in smaller containers so that they can sell them at X price. So a co that packages in, say 8 and 16 oz bottles has to make a 13 for WalMart?
I am drinking water - cuz i am thirsty!
eating something also helps kje.. three drinks wow..
how sweet, andree. your B-day was yesterday?
I would believe it pam.
yes, pam, I know. Mrs. Smith's pies are smaller at Walmart
did not know that pam... but never shop there
no tyger tomorrow
it may be just me,but i only shop at wal-mart as a last resort, seems all that stuff is made in asian sweatshops with buckets of lead paint..would rather keep my dollars keeping people working in my country..but just my crazy thoughts:/

i work at borders bookstore. i do a little bit of everything, except make the big bucks
well, working at a bookstore, the pay is obviously ... miniscule
but being around all those books ... :)
sssshhhh - this is the pretty part
customers can be the bane of our existence, lbd, and yet, they are necessary....
sounds like Kje is already disoriented.. what does that mean
...but that is just today...
what, kje??
kje, i did not mean her age, i meant her quality of life, some of my friends mothers are still active at 90+, we have several 80+ still playing at my golf course
most customers are pretty nice, friendly, curteous, it only takes one to make the day seem like it was spent in hell
aaaahhhhh - sibelius' violin concerrto - love that high note
I need to figure out what I'm going to eat, and do it pretty quick. it's getting late to be starting dinner
she's listening to Sibelius
lbd I think your customers are probably more crazy than mine.
oh, well. I like Sibelius
turn it up? :D
I think that one bad customer is QUITE sufficient, lbd!
tyger have a potato. I had fruit and a potato.
*turning it up and going back to my fave part*
Don't know SIbelus.. hmmm
oh ruru - it is gorgeous!
well, I do have leftover sweet potato slices sauteed in butter :)
(kje's neighbors are alarmed)
I had a frozen Amy
ruru...you need sibelius in life.
combine black friday frenzy with crazy customers, and add in airheaded staff.
frozen Amy's Mexican dish
I will check it out...
sibelius, lovely concertos
isn't that hard on your teeth pam?
violin concerto in D minor... starts very soft and haunting and builds - just beautiful
finnish composer i believe
LOLOL..... Amy's frozen dishes are quite convenient... and tasty
No one torms our dorrs except I guess the ems.
I lurve the one that has the beautiful Lutheran hymn words to it
my neighbor is out of town - thus playing everything LOUD!!!
hiya friends!

Hi Pinikula! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid!
pini, you're going to regret introducing me to gamecolony's cribbage!
hey weed!
ye, very tasty.
why...are you addicted there, too???
been playng?
I don't really buy frozen food..
just the 2 enchiladas... not the meal, just the enchiladas - black bean and corn - not too high in cals and makes a fast lunch at work when i do not have time to take something
nope, don't like playing with strangers. so i've been lurking, waiting to pounce on you!
I like those, kje--for work!
oh my!
i need to suck in some other friends.
*running*
* giggle *
I do, ruru--two entrees. Works for me for lunch, and some easy dinners....

ROFL
i'll post it on twitter....maybe i can suck fran in?

kje only has ears for sibelius
ga6/24 please
true pam - I am playing it again - LOLOL
what email?
oh, right, THAT email....
8-), kje
what email??? the one that scared the beejesus out of me!!!
When I was in college, I sort of od'd on Eroica....
I still have nightmares! PTSD!
had a brief blackout moment about it, for some reason....
That ga 6/24 word is ga plus the ro 4/4 word Andree.
eroica is nice
my fav is Beethovens Sixth the Pastorale.
i love bach too - amazing fugues - so complex and layered
thx min
"Flight of the Bumble Beagle!"
yw
i like that bach has so many things going on at once that you can listen 100 times and hear different things each time
The Lark Descending is mine
OZ calling...brb
not familiar, ruru - will look it up
I like Bach.... LOVE vivaldi and Handel....
decided that I *really* don't want sweet potato again tonite, so I'll be in & out for the next 15 mins while my cornbread warms - having it with greens
me either, ru...
hey, pini
yum, tyger
hey tyger
I love Mozart and Vivaldi.
how sourthern of you tyger
love violins...
my musical taste is probably rather trite. I love Bach & Mozart - and Russian church music
yep - mississippi
what can I say, kje? my mother was from KY, and I grew up on it
i will check out this Sibelus..sounds good.
in Michigan :D
if you like violins, you must get the sibelius, ruru - one of the most amazing pieces for violin - one of my faves to see in person too
I grew up on the blues...
i think it also depends on who is preforming the music. i love yo yo ma and his renditions of the classics
but I have come to like and enjoy classical music
and I grew up on church music :D
performing...
anyone listen to william joseph? i'm a piano girl, and i love his music
the violin concerto in D minor ruru - and then turn it way up!
will be back later than I thought...going into SL for a little bit...weed...I'll touch base with you shortly (if you're up to a game)...ciao
My mom played an dlistened to classical... My dad listened to Johnny cash
but have always loved Bach from first hearing
i pretty much like all music
i'll be here, watching tv
have fun pini
did it bias you against classical, pam?
I am not big on Rap or hip hop
or were you able to detach?
even those have things I like ruru - can find beautiful stuff in almost any genre
in fact I can't stand Rap and dislike hip hop
LOL--she's a NUT (literally), but no, I do love it. Have no ear--nerve deafness--but really enjoy it.
i like hip hop, especially recently some good stuff
wa, sho mama no like um rymin simins?
ooooh, everyone, go here! http://www.william-joseph.com/
Thanks for being so sensitive, tyger!
they're broadcasting a live performance
i agree tyger - bach's toccata fugue at max volume - LOVE IT
yvw, pam. I do understand - as much as anybody who hasn't experienced it can
.....or a recording of a live performance. oops. still, good music!
yoyo ma I did see in concert twice. phenominal
I like the Brandenburg cycle
that is yoyo ma.. not yo mama
live music can't be equaled, much less beat

LOL, ruru. I was wondering what was wrong
I do..
I like Brandenburg concerto, too...
I like Brandenburg concerto, too...

violin, guitar
BRB

not me, sadly. i'd love to play piano though.
I do too pam.. beautiful stuff
I was taught piano, but again, could not hear when I erred, so after a point, the lessons were d/c'd
anyone go to that site i linked?
wow, violin - that is impressive
since I was a young impressionable boy
very cool tyger! i took piano but can't say i play it
I love Peter Kater on piano....
Wow, ruru, cool!!!!
I am there, feather, thanks!
yep, would have pegged you as piano, weed
mostly "by ear" musician, but can read
welcome pam. i have both his albums, and love "within"
do you still play ruru
guitar more than violin... would love to play piano or saxaphone
haven't played in public much for a while, but used to be a church musician
still can't live without music
My sister played the clarinet then switched to french horn, my brother harmonica... My mom was a pianist, my grandmother a classically trained pianist. Practiced daily into her late 80s
I used to play in clubs in SF
i play clarinet, sax, oboe, and a little flute
Wow, ruru....
and wow, tyger
kje I thought you played tuba in Band?
Wow, kje...
all of you are SO lucky!
I refused surgery to ease severe arthritis in my thumbs because Dr couldn't say what it would do to my playing to remove a joint from each thumb
and i am tone deaf, lol
i wish ruru was within striking distance
ROFL LMAO
LOLOLOL, kje
(((pam))) (((andree)))
I empathize, andree
you all are the coolest - so bright and multi-talented - seriously impressive group here
and some of us are a great audience...
music is my life, in some sense. I picked out a chord on an antique pump organ when I was 5 (no other musicians in either family previously)
It was E, of all things. you'd think it would have been C, F or G :D
none in mine either
son plays sax
i can play a mean maraca. just ask daniel.
i ALWAYS wanted to play sax...
may take it up someday
honk honk!@
percussion is important, too, feather
it is actually an easy instrument ruru - pick it up now
never too late, for someone who is already a musician
LOVE the sounds of sax....
me too
my sister sings in a quartet, my 13 year old grandaughter does al the solos at school functions and i am still tone deaf, go figure
although Kenny G makes me ill
one of the easiest ombatures of any of the woodwinds
ditto there, ruru, ditto there
genetics of musical or other artistic talents is erratic
there goes the timer again BRB
he is the Barry Mannilow of horn instruments
lol
OMG Barry Mannilow was on the Today show..
UGH, now THAT is an image that resonates....
he looks like MIchael Jackson
I agree ruru. kenny g. cary and not interesting.
plastic?
i heard about a high school that plays barry manilow in the detention room
how many face lifts are considered too many?
*that* bad, ruru??
I CAN NOT STAND BARRY MANILOW. His 15 minutes are UP. His best stuff was managing Bette at the baths. WHY did he have to move beyond that????
LOLOL weed
that would do it weed
dunno. don't understand in the first place
he is competing with joan rivers, ruru
I write the songs that make the whole world sing....
17 left, will finish later, its saturday and time is on my side
imagine a 14 year old listening to him for an hour, lol
joan rivers looks like a dime store mannequin
later, andree

down-lying citizens?? :D
Hello all. re Barry Manilow, don't know what his popularity is. All of his songs sound the same to me. And, he has had way too much plastic surgery

well my fruit for my fruit cake is soaking in rum
making it tonight?
that's what my mother used but peoples say they use brandy... um I never heard of brandy
or how long does it have to soak? I know nothing about making fruit cake. my dad was the only one in our house who would eat it :)
I've heard of using several different spirits to soak the fruit
including whiskey - if you can imagine it
no no I will tomorrwo ... just saw a movie about a child not believing in sanata clause... that's why he couldn't here the sleigh bells...
I would think that brandy would be mmmm more compatible?
well I can because I love whisky sours
cartoon or regular??
maybe I just don't like the taste of brandy
cartoon
that sounds more plausible :)
well, that's certainly a good reason NOT to use brandy ;)
which is more plausable
I meant the plausible to apply to cartoon, in case it was not clear
fairy tales are always better in cartoons, IMO
FINISHED! VERY EXCELLENT!

how about dr 6/27?
builds from the first dr4 7...it's a decoration for cakes annd such Ithink...but best described as the person be dr4 ged behind ....add on double vowEl...
thanks..thought I'd tried it..
there are tons of words we input that seem to not be input after all...it's quite annoying esp. on the big grids...
how true!!
I did my part ot spur the economy today...got a signature loan to buy a new monitor for my Mac-mini...the old one is losing it's luster after 3 years...and my eyes needed a bigger one...
and a signature loan is much cheaper than putting on a charge card or credit card...
enjoy...lost all my e-mail today on my mac...don't know what happened...but did workaround to get stuff back.
hmmmm, that's not good...
how about he 7/36...down to 16 now
builds from the he5 12...blood pupmping muscle in your chest...past tense ...as in that fellow sure is big he7....

ya 5 is like the liquer that college kids slam at the bar
ready for a big grid..that's all
he4, as in the present place, + (3-1) without the mid consonant

hello everyone :)
hi nan..
She's extra Precious...runt of her litter, the breederowner simply couldn't part with her until she wouldn't stop pidlding on her floors and shoes whenever she came home...she just needed constant attention and reinforcement
Hi Nan!
in the South, Precious is pretty common as a pet name!
really?
what is the breed pav
well, at least you didnt say LOTR trilogy ruru!,,she's a purebred Lhasa APso, and Joey's a mix Lhasa + something or another with large fangs
let me change my pic so you's can see...
ya know pav.. maybe that is why you like this game.. as there are several babblers who need constant attention and reinforcement...lol
hey, peeps
hullo tyger
sure that's the last ag ruru?

just back from sorting out dogs and bedtime
HI tyger
babs may be buried in the grid, ruru
oh you get them all babs?
down to 3
go, babs
that's why everyone says she's Precious...she's only 15 lbs...small for a Lhasa... and her attitude is very friendly but standoffish, until you get in the front gate,,,and then it's every man or woman to themselves 'cause she's been bred to warn and ward off any trespassers..
need tr 5/12...last one
uh.. hurry up what do you need
a group of three
tr5/12: don't tr5 on me (from VT? flag)
tr* (three) + newspaper **
