same here chickie and a long winding driveway. Had to have the sander come yesterday. One gets quite expert at exactly the right speed, angle, gear, steering to make it up. One of my cats used to love to lie across the back of our necks. She would even do this in the car. One day my husband had to take her to vets cos she had an abscess on her neck. She lay across the back of his neck and rubbed herself lovingly against him. Suddenly there was a dreadful smell. The abscess had burst. Then there was a nastier smell and a wet feeling. The relief had made her wee. When he paid the vets he reeked of pus and pee, and so did the cash. I laughed, and said we had a pissy pus-y pussy. Sorry - you did ask!

Trapunto is a sort of embroidery/quilting hybrid, which results in a raised design on the quilt. Very old art, very very tricky
currently making some angels for my tree
WE have no christmas anything up not a tinsel to be seen
basically you make little slits on the back of a quilt and stuff the designs on the top with cording or padding, and then, after you are done with that, you add another layer of quilt backing and stitch around the parts you stuffed, to make it in even higher relief. It's exhausting, but it does look great when finished

I look to blame myself... it is apparently normal. I blame myself for my son's asperger's syndrome. i have a book to strongly recommend. it is tiny and paperback and cheap. called "what to say when you talk to yourself, by Dr. Shad Helmstedder. read it for xmas. especially mr. pres if you have such bad selftalk. this helped me who also had bad selftalk and my kids loved it and they say it changed their lives.
find the small things that give you joy,focus on the kids
your feelings suggest you would not intentionally hurt your family .... so why blame yourself for what you did not set out to do or have control over?

I wish wish wish I could sleep, let alone eat. yes babrab... I am confronting my self in therapy. it has been not working though... the therapist and I don't work well together. She actually blamed me for self harming via not eating. It was discovered that the medication I was put on (for 5 weeks) was very wrong for me and I had no appetite. It is disheartening at times to go 1 step forward and then 3 steps backward
this book says we are programmed like a computer with all the negative talk we hear as kids: "dont do this" dont do that. you cant do t his. you cant do that. and on and on. to change that we must look in the mirror and say "you CAN do what you want". You are able! You are wonderul. you are amazing. you are strong. you are loving. you are a good wife, you are a good mother, etc.

I realised that I had not come close to death 2 times..but 3 due to an auto accident.... and I was thinking..what has changed in my life since then..what is it iamdoingnow that is different from the "1st" incident... and that is guiding......obviously...I was lead down the road I was..to "Do" that..to mentor young girls
mrpres, do read that book!!!!!!!!! it worked for me better than therapy! i bought the cd's from the author and wow, it really made a huge difference.
there are small thigs you can do to "reset" your soul mrp...

nrk my b.fs mum had her shoulder reconstructed. She was near normal in 3 weeks as she did very gentle exercise
I think the Ambien will be a good solution for the next 5 weeks, till I can get out of the "sling"
oh yes, sleep is so important. I went a week after the MRI debacle in such pain.. finally gave in and accepted hydrocodone just so I could sleep for a couple days. But it's yucky so I only took it for a couple nights.
