yes rolin... very close
we can see the fires from here
*fingers crossed* the rains come after the lightning
the embers have been the big issue... don't like them

you can look at the local news.
I have all of 7 words, lol -- no help to anyone
yeah thats where i saw it
article is called 'fire bears down on homes'
mrp -- why aren't you flying your flag?
strangely enough, I saw the lightening strike that started the fire.... I was with a friend at her pool and said 'that one was hot! I bet it started a fire'....
lol....mrp..the voice of doom..
Oh I am!! LOL
next thing you know... the helicopters came swarming in
that kinda swarm is ok...

not too bad Jilli.. spent the day at the Hot Springs relaxing..
74 here une.. I will try to catch you

ch 6/30

wtg stid!
th4 are called progressives stid
woohooo stiddy!
here come the clues peoples.... I have my whip and chair out
ooh lucky lickety...lol
ca 8/50
no ruru, these are bifocals -- short distance correct/magnification, only small fix for astigmatism for the plain upper part. I don't really need anything more than reading glasses but between the work in the schools and the classes I take I thought these were more practical. progressives allow for correction through multiple planes.
that's the one we've got, lib :-)
oh...
*helps lickety sit down to work magic*
(if it's an article of clothing)
dang
(thanks for the clarification stid)
thanks, libarebel

Fair -28°F (-33°C) Wind Chill: -45°F (-43°C)

It was clear here until I drove back from the library -- clear below but thick up here!

LOL and now I am going to have an appointment with my lovely quilts and fluffy pillows...
it was icy here today -- above freezing but felt like below
ooh-- my beddie beckons...

fireworks
WOW dee!!!
is so7 a "normal" word?
congrats, Dee
after a couple of years of babbling, how would we know what was "normal"
I would not say it is a normal word. it is so +jail cell with double letter
onward and upward VDee
good point jwr
add a second consonant to the so 6/27 ty very much
sorry I was frozen
I have never seen it before (but that is not uncommon for me) :)
lol jw
may I help anyone else?
If I use it in a sentance I think is normal if not no.
agreed
dee...the single corner d pls
but is it a normal sentence?
words are perceived by people who perceived as normal, unless not
da 4/6 d + highest card in a deck
run that by again please BabRab
any of the ch word clues ,please
ty
ty for that so7, book
When I traveled to Africa I got bit by a Ch 6 and a Ch 6. It made me itch.
two of the ch6 words are almost the same -- diff first vowel
we all have different perceptions .... many consider me abnormal ... if I am perceived as abnormal, how may anyone trust my perception of a word as normal, or otherwise?
Having brain freeze; nite (((all)))
Now that I can use the ch 6 in a sentance it is normal. lol
and that's a strange icon, babrab, lol!
night lib :)
good point, jilli
ty book and jilli.... but I've never been to Africa....hence I don't understand ur clues.
Look up an african tick. There are two spellings here.
I have never been to russia, but I have studied communism
ty I thought that was what you meant.but br u wouldn't ave been bitten by an African tick in Russia.... I've been there.
if knowledge is limited to where people have been, why bother studying of places not traveled to
I was just teasing u BR!
SO VERY SORRY ALL GOT BOOTED OFF MY SERVER :(...now may I help?
I never mean to be impolite, usually frozen or on a cyber trip lol
fireworks. I am going to read my travel book about Africa.
help before I actually leave on purpose?
YAY book!!!
be well, Dee, and thanks
ty br!!! sleep well all; hugs & *poof*
hello all and bye dee
bye dee!
good night everyone. ty for the clues dee
I didn't change my icon
bye dee and book and hi west
I did find out that today is strawberry ice cream day
hi jilli
howdy, west ... not changing an icon is a deep do do offence
maybe, west, but theicon theme is Pips, lol!
oh I know bab that's why I was hiding
pips as in seeds?
no, not pips, Pipes (I'm alsmost alseep)
okay lol I'll find a good one
that's bs. BR
may I have the start of the 8's?
you can tell my wakefulness by my typos
I only have one 8 -- ca8/50
to avoid gender bias, I prefer c.s.
thanks I'll give it a shot
lol bab
ch 7 & 8
lol babrab
I'm too tired to continue -- night all!
be well, jilli
gn jilli glad I got to see you for a bit

yw
morning all
howdy, sprite
hey BabbleRabble, glad to see you. How are you today?
doing okay ..... no acute distress
those are the better days
hello Sprite & BabRab & West
hi lyn!
howdy, lyn
funny fish dance, lyn
cute isn't it. leunig is well known for his duck in a lot of his cartoons but I couldn't find a good picture to sneak
very babble-worthy pick
I stopped to clean the kitchen and got kicked off the internet
so hello again
hello west
hi West
hi sprite
how are things in Glockamorra
hi lyn
what's Glockamorra?
sorry thought you'd heard it's a song from Finian's Rainbow
its a very old song isn't it West?
I will google
yes kind of dates me doesn't it lol
wow that is interesting. Sorry I never saw the show!
Certainly not! I recognised it
*biting tongue to keep from stating the obvious...*
it's a really pretty song sprite
tsk! and so you should Sprite
older but no wiser lol
and googling it taught me that it has become a saying too, west.
*evil grin*
BBL son is here
actually I wondered if glockamorra was a play on clogwog country or something like that.
enjoy lyn
enjoy lyn
well then how are things in clogmog?
I've never heard that one
clogwog is a word for a dutchman, I have gathered. Someone on wooden shoes.
sabot
not too great atm, and you?
not bad just damned cold
has that virus still got hold of you?
being cold is very unpleasant :(
we're not as cold as some places
my body is winning the battle against the virus. But a friend of mine relapsed into cancer badly and my mother is in hospital, which brings up many family issues at once. Bad start of the year.
my poor husband has to go to Florida on a business trip
oh so sorry to hear that sprite
is it bad there?
we're hovering right around zero
my mother was in the hospital for 2 days right before New Year and she's still not doing very well
same as here then, I think
am sorry to hear that, west :( What happened to her?
more snow scheduled for later today
she fell and hurt her back, they put her on meds to get the swelling down and it wreaked havoc with her blood thinners now they're having a time getting her up to speed
back's better at least
iatrogenics
must be tough on her!
she's 92 so staying in bed is allowed
I think she's depressed because of all the snow and cold
I know I am
what is that bab?
I really don't blame her or you
this would be a good opportunity to get everything organized but nah
babble is more fun
Font Size A A A Definition of Iatrogenic Iatrogenic: Due to the action of a physician or a therapy the doctor prescibed. An iatrogenic disease may be inadvertently caused by a physician or surgeon or by a medical or surgical treatment or a diagnostic procedure. Puerperal fever (childbirth fever) was an iatrogenic infection; it was carried from one woman to another by the doctor before the days of antisepsis. If in the course of a procedure, an artery is nicked and bleeds, that is an iatrogenic accident. The word "iatrogenic" comes from the Greek roots "iatros" meaning "the healer or physician" + "gennan" meaning "as a product of" = due to the doctor.
something you get from the way a doctor treats you or diagnoses you
well that spells it out all right
<microbiology> Pertaining to or originating in the hospital, said of an infection not present or incubating prior to admittance to the hospital, but generally occurring 72 hours after admittance, the term is usually used to refer to patient disease, but hospital personnel may also acquire nosocomial infection.
quite contrary to the first rule of doctoring: First do no harm.
that was the definition of nosocomial
nosocomial is not so comical
with all the stories of hospital infections we were concerned
my beef is the doctor's are dismissing it all with 'she's old'
she is that but has always been very active
being old is not a disease. Doctors should know better.
sprite what is wrong with your mom?
I think she should see a gerontologist
is that the word?
she had a fall, then fell out of bed a couple of times. In the hospital they found she had phneumonia. Physically she was doing better, my sister said. But mentally she isn't. She has never been stabile anyway.
stable* (?)
yes stable
they'll be able to treat the pneumonia
hopefully they won't send her home too soon
thanks. Yes they have. And she has to go home on friday. My sister is trying to get her some help at home now.
my state flower is in the grid
oh that is ni4
my brother lives with my mother but he works she won't come here I wish she would
she's very independent
sweet too sweeter than all the roses
another old song even older than me lol
lol west, I love old songs
oh I meant to ask is Caya all better now?
she still tires easily, but otherwise she is doing ok. Her knee is better.
that's good about her knee but too bad she still gets tired
hey all
hi bfsog
hi bf
are you warm and well?
yes it is, and nothing we can do about it but trying to get her to rest when she starts looking as a raccoon again. It is a matter of time, so they tell us.
i am indeed. i am a busy little bee so i shouldnt be here, just dont tell my conscious
your secret is safe with us bf
hopefully caya will rally when the sun shines again
plus by the looks of it i wont be here long, this grid looks nasty
and you will too sprite
it's not bad at the start
cruised right through the grid ..... very cavortable
my father used to have one of those we loved riding with the top down
i missed breakfast this morning maybe thats why im flaking
yes I think so, west. She is an outdoor child, loves to play and ride bike and walk. And we will have a puppy soon too :)
am finding this grid quite pleasant and not at all hard
better get a bowl of those flakes bf
oh sprite that puppy will be the cure all
I only had trouble with about 125 of the words
lol bab
not you
in that case i should get 15 more
the breeder told me that she thinks there are at least 5 pups baking in the oven. If all goes well, that would make sure we get our pick :)
it's going to be hard to choose just one
can't imagine that, BabbleRabble
they're so cute
no it won't, west, lol. One is all I can handle and afford.
the old cat has decided to sit right on my keyboard sort of hard to type so I'll say good bye for now
bye west
take care all and hugs
go west
be well, west
sorry i had to
*hugs right back*
horace greeley
GM All
what brought that on, BabbleRabble? Trying to see a connection but failing so far :)
hiya chickie
howdy sprite!
ah I found west's state flower. I was trying to make something like acacea. Should have thought blue.
could I please get a clue for the i7? My last word. I have 3x i6 but cannot turn any of them into a 7.
pretty please? With a banana on top?
fireworks with thanks to a2z. Bye all, have fun
see ya sprite :)
B-r-r-r! -19 below zero right now in Wisconsin!
Hi
good morning. -17 here
cagy
oops
Eva how is my favourite little furry guy
doing much, much better herin!
How is everyone?
is anyone here?
any one
hi herin
HI.
its very quiet this morning
I am so excited.
whats happening
Maybe getting a kitty
ooh wow - lucky you
He is black and like a mini panther. I will cry if we can't have it
i'd love a kitty or a puppy but we have to wait till i retire - in about 9 years time!!
He is from a shelter
We have to wait for an application
he sounds like he's going to be a lively one
Oh is so adorable. I have a name for him but I will not say until I get him.
do they come and do a home inspection? We have an animal place not far from us that rescues all sorts of animals - they have the largest bull - he stands 7 ft plus at the shoulder
No they don't but they have strict applications. People who have pets and live in houses trumps those that dont
I walk away and I said to my b.f have a name for him
i suppose it makes sense but i wish you all the luck in the work in getting him i am off to get a coffee and some pain killers - i have been really suffering since my accident - haven't been able to lay donw to sleep
What accident?
Worried mamma face
last thursday i decided i could fly - my shoe caught on a step (3 from the bottom) and propelled me about six feet forward face down onto a concrete pavement. I have the remains of a black eye, a bruise on my forehead, some broken ribs on the right side, bruise on knees elbows and palms and the worst is a terrible pain on the left side of my chest just under my boob that is stopping me from moving and laying down
OH KAZ im sorry hun. Gentle hug
thank you vm - gentle is about all i can cope with - but i wore my bra to sleep last night and that helped a bit - but the codeine is doing a good job as well!
Can you buy or get someone to get you one of the bras that are cotton and wireless? Just something for support but soft on your skin
that what i;ve got = sports type that holds it all in place
thats good. Go take your meds and take care
34 left so will come back a bit later
k
phantom - elvis
HI Elsh

sorry... it's just not clicking all I can get from that hint is nest
ah
jor-think a pet bird
oh where they live in ur house jorga , in a ****
Hehehe. Yes we are looking at adopting a black horse cat currently named Alfie
well kris bailey is with jens mom now,she said she had to wash him three times the water was black!
OMG THATS GROSS
horse cat? is that a breed? never heard of it...does that mean it is really big? sorry for not knowing....
ahhhh thanks... sorry I was so dense on that
yup he was so cold outside i felt bad he was walking around with jis front paw up!
He is big he is about 2 inches off my cat in height. No not a new bred just a good discription
kristine, do you have kids?
okay. when wll you know if you get him or not?
boy does she have kids, sue!
I quit smoking 12yrs ago
looked at my new baby boy and thought
If I would die for him, why not live for him
Hopefull tommorow
why was he outside ?
XXXXXX - crossing fingers!
i have 4 sue
sorry my chog is acting up
cause they are irrasponsible.... why would u ask that?
if ever he asks me "wasn't I worth living for?" or "isnt my life worth a ciggy?"
i intend on quitting , my appt, is next month
appt?
thats sick Lynn JUST SICK
yes with my dr
can I give you a bit of advice for now?
then you can help me through the 8
Krist were you smoking with the last kid?
sure
sure
sorry, who is bailey?
I smoked with all of them NOTHING I AM PROUD OF EITHER
sure
start changing your habbits
Bailey is a dog
if you smoke in the car, dont
yup he was so hyper last nite jens mom said just loving the attention. he was trying to play with her other dog but the dog wasnt having it. bailey going to vet today to get nails trimmed an looked at i hope they ask who the hell had him last!
if you smoke on the front porch
I'm thinking about how to make my way to the bird feeder and back without losing any appendages to frost bite. Getting ready to leave the house these days is utterly exhausting. Stoke the stove, put on two pairs of pants, two upper layers, winter coat, scarf, hat, mittens, lip protection, boots, cleats, scrape car windows, use mallet to knock ice build off from wheel wells. But if I give up and stay home for too long I get a wee bit weird...to say the least.
go to the back
i dont smnoke anywhere near my kids
smoking is a habbit that has its triggers
start switching them up
aahhhh, eva, the wee little chickadees again???
it made quitting a lot easier for me
also, keep a diary
whoa - chog isn't a acceptable word HERE???
ive cut back ALOT , im almost ready
because when you have a problem 3 years later, you want to smoke because it doesnt seem so hard to quit again
lol Trif NOPE
then look in your book
nd you will be amazed at how hard it really was
that is really good advice sue
im not worried about quitting ,
yup. Giving me the "it's okay....you've made us dependent and if it's your wish, oh mighty one, that we perish of cold and famine, so be it. Don't give us another thought. We're sure y9ou have much more important things to do."
really krist, when my X left, I had to go to the book
Kristine, I am incredibly proud of you for even trying! you ahve made the appointment, you seem committed to success - good for you!!!
thank you trif
no, I need help with the bird
25 years is long enough for me !
now
I smoke outside and im sure Granny Max would be really pissed at me
yep krist
so 6 and 7 sue so + the bird **** , and for the 7 double the 1st cons,,
my friend kept track of what she would have spent on cigarettes in a year, and spent that money on a treat for herself and her kids instead - it was a great reward
I cant wait till you get to the point that you see the differences
i already see the diference just cutting baclk
for me:
well gotta get the kids up bye all
the first 6 months is the worst and after 2 years or so the mind cravings stop.good luck kris! wife and i both quit in 2002:)
ty cross
ok lynn see ya later
congrats crossy! and have a good day, lynn!
Once again im going back to food but your icon Trifs reminds me of a burger
I fall asleep really easily, my stomach doest burn anymore, no more "under the gum" cleaning at the dentist,

i wouldnt kick him out of my bed if he had just shot my dog
Your theater icon looked like a burger don't as me why
ty br

As of 1/13, my mortgage is paid off. I now own my house!

WOOHOO SCRAB !!!!!
yayayay scrab! congrats!
congrats on the hutch, scrablbler!

lol 06:28 post herin
Well its true.
WOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWHooooooow Scrabbler
wow scrab! that is wonderful!! I can't even begin to imagine that feeling. so proud for you!!
yaa for scrabbs!have a mortgage burning party planned??
Scrabbler that is awesome!
So now I have to make myself save $830/month, or should I use it to pay off my remaining debt (home equity loan)?
So maybe I don't really own my house if I have a home equity loan still?
ca8?
depends... home equity loan can still be counted as a tax break yes?
scrab, have you heard of the tradition where when you pay your mortgage off, you hammer a little peg into the top of your newel post, to show that you now own the house? You could get a brass nail or something and do it....it's symbolic, of course
in theese tough financial times, money is best spent removing all incurred debt that carries an interest
Pay $400 on home equity loan $400 for a rainy day and $30 for what ever crap you feel like buying
something a woman wears under a see thru blouse kje
ca8=lingerie
aaah - ty jorg
and eva
babble-was that halfway shoe thing an answer for the bottom c?
i'm off to work. bbl. stay warm all.
What is a newel post, Trif?
hagd jb
mi 7
the post at the bottom of your staircase handrail
can't even begin to imagine having extra money... 3 in college and one of them getting married in oct... I'm the new definition of broke
Yes, I can deduct interest paid for the home equity loan.
the post at the beginning of a stair case, scrabbler, ususally decorative
the post at the end of a stairwell scrab
a traditional fence post out by the gate in a old style picket fence me thinks
or maybe not
ch6?
OK, I could put a special nail in there.
my in-laws had a nice mortgage buring party
bought a special ingraved zippo for the occasion
I will receive paperwork soon.
it's a really fun tradition, scrab. my neighbor had a little get together and did it in front of us all. it was so so so fun. he had found a special one someone had made years before...at an antique store, i think..it was made of ivory, which is GROSS now, but it was a hundred years old, so there you go
and lots of bbq and alcohol
HI Hurshy
i am falling back asleep.....need nap.....
crossy hands trif a nice hot sea
two ch 6 --- guevara and **n* with the wind; second ch 6 has a different vowel
boola boola, hurshy
scrab, congrats on paying off your home!
TY, BR. What is your outside temp there?
Krist, do you have a wii?
ty br,would never have gotten those 2 otherwise;)
TY, jjks. In July 1989 this dat seemed so far away.
no sue i dont
I was talking about marriage to my b.f today and i said why bother its like a party but you have to pay for the alcohol
I just so an info thing that says that the Wii has a "Stop smoking" thing for it
some weddings have no alcohol.

You're not the only one Scrab
thanks!
WHo was Mick's first?
lol
our new kitty is adjusting well to the other 2 now,but the thing is a tad pushy, ties to sleep on yer face;/
quite a pleasant grid ------ promenaded right through
bianca?
Cute nevertheless, right, crossy?
Melbourne is having a cold summer this year
crossy glares at br...promanaded..sheesh!
Isn't that his current chicklet?
scrabbler... his first name not his first wife
cute as heck, did you hear what we called it scrabbs? the kitty is all black with white chin.....
Aha, TY. I will not be promenading thru this grid if my brain continues to function like this.
serius black lol
Sirius Black? As in HP?
Cross do cats adjust to other cats being introduced even if they never had another animal near them
yup
depends on the cat, and there are things you can do to help them along
they can herin, but you have to watch for things like not eating, excess vomiting, and hair loss in clumps
any of those signs that continue beyond 2 weeks and the new cat should be removed
It is very tough to "bond" rabbits, but it can be done. My sister got foster bunnies last fall--twin brothers that were bonded. She fell in love, as expected, and adopted them.
have seperate feeding and litter box station for new cat for first week
google introducing cats or something and there will bbe advice
rabbits!!!!:))
Was the kitty and impulse decision, crossy?
no,it was thought out carefully
the 1st cat is now 12,the second is now almost 3,this one is about a year
and were the hell will i take mr new cat if princess pandora chucks a tiss.
OK. I got 2 of my bunnies impulsively, when I went to the pet store to get supplies.
we adopt rescued cats,so there is always a return policy
ch 7 --- guevara and a natural nitrogen: alka****; pl
best way herin
This guy is a rescue cat. I don't think i could return him IF we get him
Do you honestly think I would by a pet from a friggen pet store? In aus you can still buy pet store animals like dogs and cats
ours come fixed, dewormed and full course of flea treatment if needed, all for 75 buck
Can I please have more help with the Ch's ?
I "rescued" 2 of my bunnies from the pet store.
our pets stores dont even bother much with cats and dogs anymore as so many are in shelters
hello everyone
yaa for scrabbs rescued bunnies!:)
Hi Owl

i stopped aging at 25 and i refuse to go any further
if u playing with toads...more like 5 not 25
i play with toads and you jump on grapes;)
though a man has to love a woman who makes her own booze:)))
and ur toads result in u having warts...where as my jumping on grapes results in lots and lots of wine :p
warts...vs wine...warts...vs wine...hmmm..not much difference I suppose ;-)
now if you could just set up a still and make me a nice 180 proof vodka.....
(and purple toes Carlee)
carlee has purple toes!! hehe
i don't have to paint my nails tho herin :p

OH Crossie there was a pair of black girl cats and I said to the bf that we can't have them as i would want both
What about zip up bag?

I mean a bag with zips not a zip up bag
if they come as a pair usually you must take them both

aas we are right on georgian bay we get a little moderation inland can be 10 degrees colder
where are you merk?
crap
well ten years ago we did minus 44 c so we can do it again i suppose
I'm in SD
can I have the ch7 again, I just cant think of a womans undergarment with that, and I even went to undergarment sites, but those witches are too skinny to look at
nm on the ch 7/8. I was using the wrong ch to begin my monkeying.
The women's undergarment starts with a ca
which ch, Merk?
well, that makes sense
The ch 7/8 starts with the center 'c' tile
thanks
Nose back in the grid.
Ok Crossie
and then merk?
yes herin?
i did find the co/5 stomach snakes
intestine snakes
not seeing the ch7/8
its actually:any of several American quails, but is easier to find thinking of it my way
Me neither. Could we have a real clue for the ch7/8,please?
ch7 - c plus first three letters of the Troy woman, a vowel then two letters associated with proving who you are.
ch8/55 is the plural.
thanks, Haz, never would have found them
Ty, Haz. Never would have gotten that one.
Thanks, Haz :) It's a type of scar tissue, isn't it...?
exactly half, bbl
Haz to the rescue.....Hello dear Haz!
You're welcome - hello to all!
howdy haz
NANNCYYYYYYYYYYYYY Where have you been my darling?
Yes, I think the scar thing is also spelled with a k at the front.
Hello, everyone!
good morning everyone
howdy vic;)
hi flosey!
Hi Everyone i missed
and hi to vicuna!
howdy flo;)
I've seen it commonly spelled with a K. Leave it to Babble to throw us a curve.
Hey, Herin!!! How are you? :)
I know, Judi, expect the unexpected at all times.
the k version, are they not scars as a result of radiation poisioning?
Not just radiation poisoning, it's associated with overgrowth of fibrous tissues after other wounds as well.
ahh
Whoops. After that long, restful break, time to go. *sigh*
Reallly good. I missed you
It's a scar that grows beyond the boundary of an original scar or wound.
That was quick, Vi - maybe see you later.
Good to hear, Herin :) I was pretty busy with work for a while - now I'm free to enjoy a gap year :D
must bang off a load or 2 of dishes..bbl...poof
Yeah, I hope so. *waves farewell*
Bye, Vic!
YAH you did well in the O levels or is it A levels I cant remember
hi all :)
Hi Ata. Ata what was that dragon boook you etched?
Hi, Ata!
Hello Ata!
Well enough in the A levels Herin...I suprised myself a bit. Thought I was down the creek without a paddle for most of the year but some of it must have sunk in ;)
John's book? It;s called Forging Dragons by John Howe
OK
Yah Nanc and what do you plan on actually doing?
hello Ata!
Ata I saw the calendar today. What did you do again?
Not a clue, Herin. I'm awful at making decisions...and I do mean -awful-...
all the knotwork, all the borders and inset boxes etc
oh pretty.
Nanc im 31 and i still dont have a clue
Im 34 and keep changing my mind lol
See no one has a clue what they are doing until they do it
Criminy. I'm 44. I'll decide for you. *dons magical turban* Ask away, all yee undecided ones.
I'm never undecided, I just get bored of something and choose something different!
I guess you're right, Herin. It'd be lovely to have a real kind of vocation, but at the end of the day my two great loves in life are dressing up and drinking. Difficult to make a career out of that..
there, Judi, work your magic with drinking and dressing up!
Nonsense, Nancy Boy! There's modeling, or... find someone rich and be their boy toy.
be a professional drag act
NUp I am looking into an doing:Advanced Diploma of Business Legal practise and Diploma of Business Administration
Nancy can you sew do you have any fashion sense?
LOL, Ata. There is such a fine line between being a bit frivolous with dress and lapsing into drag...I don't have the energy to be a drag queen... I just love beautiful clothes; beautiful things..
I know ... but it must be better than sitting in an office all day!
I'm all thumbs, Herin. Much better to have an expensive Italian man make the clothes for me! I tried a bit of modelling once, for an alternative mag. Hot lights, heavy make-up and standing still with a fixed expression? Not me! What did everyone want to be when they were little?
i wanted to be a vet and then an actress
Someone asked me that and I replied a ball breaking bitch.
a vet or a pathologist!
very cool herin.... I may have succeeded at that myself. LOL
WOW. When I grow up, I wanna be like Herin..
LOL, Herin!!!!
did you then get smacked for using bad words??!
Nancy: http://personalitytest.careerone.com.a u/
I recommend Personal Assistant, Nancy Boy. If you have good organizational skills, good fashion sense and don't mind being the only diva in the room...
oh, wow - this could be interesting. Thanks, Herin, let's have a look..
I said that recently as a grown up but honestly I think I wanted to be a teacher then there was park ranger then there was security and now there is law
oh, I forgot, park ranger was also on my list, lol
and now I'm a teacher :)
Nancy its a free what am I like career test. From what i read I think you would be good doing fashion or interior design
by the time I was about 13 I wanted to be a marine biologist and history was started
Hi JJ
Funny Judi that is what I was thinking PA. l
That'd be nice, Herin - lots of competition in those fields though, I guess. It's just asked me whether I'm more shy or conventional!
Just go with your gut reaction as this is a multiply answer thing
They may say one thing one way and the same but different
hi herin :)
is there such a word that starts with mi and has 7
Wow, it's given me a lot of "manager" and "executive"s, which I like. I guess it takes all sorts
ANd Nancy its fairly right
If you click on Manager or Executive it will show you the type of jobs
mi7/36 - kind of central in the foot?
letters is the last word of my reqeust. Can I have a clue please,,,,,,,,if it exists?

I enjoyed the grid, inge, but it's not easy. It made me think.
Wow, I really admire chefs 'cause I think it must be a really high-pressure job. What did you make of it?
I loved some of the places. hated the hours. Hours sucked and blew

12 weeks? that's young to already be neutered
Is it?
animals from shelters are usually neutered early
3 months? I'd say so. But I think we operate a bit later here than most other countries
oh I noticed....having done it so many times myself, I sympathized and decided not to mention it. ;)
Oooh, they are difficult to get used to. It took me a while with mine, but it behaves itself now. My laptop is the reason that I'm still sprawled all over my bed in my jammies.

understandable. and this has been quite a winter so far! lots of snow, and now really cold.
so we hear...our caretaker keeps us up on the news there..plus the weather channel :)
how do you like texas?
it's nice on the gulf...been unusually cooler this winter, but it's better than what you're getting
I heard some cold temps in texas this morning, though... 38 someplace - same as in Alaska!
yea, in the north...gotta be south of Houston to stay away from the really cold and icy weather TX can get...which means if Alaska is warming up, so will the rest of the country!

They think a bird might have flown into the engine and caused it to crash
It looks like there are survivors -- amazing
the fuselage appeared to be mostly intact until it submerged
Let us hope all survive
it is so bitterly cold here, those poor people, the water temp is only 42 deg
all the ferry services in the area are there for rescue, they say it was a controlled landing not an explosion or fall from the air
hello all!
hi stid

hey katie! how's you?
thanks for that A!
thanks
Good MRP although don't seem to be awake quite yet
what an extraordinary job the pilots did to do a controlled landing in water and not break up!! That is fantastic!!
good thanks Stid, you?
I am well, katie -- enjoying my "day off" which always translates into being to busy to relax.
it is truly miraculous Mrp
hitting water is like hitting concrete... amazing!
taking another break... could use a joke if anyone has anything funny to share?
was there a crash?
hi kje! :)
hey kje! let's see.... "skeleton walks into the bar and says, give me a beer and a mop"
and why is mrp in hungary?
plane went down in hudson river
ugh stid... you must have gotten that one from BR! LOLOL
thanks beth, will check that out
I'll look it up in a bit, I'm watching American Idol at the moment :-) Hubby is in dispair

just clued those luv, check 3:17 & 3:18

don't understand what not id mean
the id is a state of consciousness, the *** it the sense of self within your consciousness
part of personality, id & *** e4
the pictures of the crash with passengers standing on the wings in the hudson are actually interesting... looks like they are walking on water
hi
plus, it was 20 degrees F there today! that water had to be frigid!
I id behind a tree
yes kje, they were saying it is the coldest day in 4 years
BR, did you see stid's joke? sounds just like you!

lucky the river was smooth... the passengers look so relieved! The passengers are still being removed
actully, the eg4 is plural the opposite of id...
they think the plane hit a flock of birds... pretty amazing what a bunch of birds can do to that huge machine!
about 40 degrees
yes, will welcome that one into groaners grainery
thanks got it
BR and his GG... LOL
(what have I done....) so kje, now BR is here, perhaps he will favor us with a REAL joke?
BR, is it easier for you to read caps? shoul we cap lock when you are on?
I am better now
good to hear, BR
hi all
good grief that pilot did fantastically well
hey nrk! how's you? how's the shoulder?
BR, did you have eye surgery?
hi nrkii
the shoulder is great stid ... physical therapy started today, and it's going to be a LONG HAUL before I'm recovered, but I'm so happy to be free that I don't care yet
no, a prolonged bout with corneal edema that took forever to get correctly diagnosed
the fright in confronting your possible death, and then the elation of surviving....
vids
corneal oedema!! wow, never heard of it
should be a word
oh no BR... cornea issues are quite painful, no?
sounds painful BR, I am glad you are better
hi torg :)
death is the ultimate R & R
hello tor -- corneal edema? *runs off to look it up*
I'd rather take mine on the weekend ;-)
more a nuisance ----- blurred vision and grit
thanks for that thought BR... makes work seem not so bad now
hi gumball
eye grit.... ick
nrkii - you have been added to "the list"
thanks kje!
hope you can ake it!
I think if the weather cooperates I should be okay
my arm isn't strong enough for me to brave driving my car in bad weather
make... not ake... oops
good to hear you are proceeding with recovery, nrk. Just CRAWL if you have to go out on ice.
my feet are fine Stid! I just have to remember not to do anything too too stupid if I slip
nrkii - no use for awhile sucks! but it will come back... you should have seen how puny my calf was after 12 weeks nonweight bearing... but it is all better now
that's the thing nrk... *starts putting pads on walkway and wrapping nrk with bubblewrap*
lol stid
kje, they told me 8 weeks of physical therapy, and at least 6 months before I have real progress I'll be happy about
THERE got that lower H grey...
yep... I was in PT 8 weeks, and still had to work on my own awhile afterthat... but it has been a year now and I hardly think about it anymore
for now, I just want to be able to put the key in the ignition and change the thermostat in my car with my right hand... those will be baby steps
you should see progress well before that nrkii, but you wil still be sore for a while
for me, it was being able to take a bath, nrkii... i just wanted to be able to actually sit in a hot bath! which of course meant getting in and out of a tub, and that is amazingly difficult to do with one leg - LOL
I'm sure it will be a gradual process... doctor and pt both worried I will get discouraged, but I doubt it... impatient and stupid, maybe
kje, hard to do with one arm too, but I have refused to give that up
oh oh... impatient and stupid??? *alarms start ringing* *wraps town in bubble wrap*
PT is good about keeping people motivated... you'll do great!
i kept thinking that i must have reinjured the shoulder during therapy, it doesnt seem possible that such small movements could be so difficult
I had no choice butto give it up nrkii... but I am now making up for los time!
stupid = pushing past the pain instead of stopping when it hurts... I have to remember to not overdo is all
it is amazing how much things can hurt sometimes...
I don't mind the pain, as long as I don't reinjure
well, I am tired and need a nap before I head out. see you-all again soon!
OK, I am off... back to the grindstone... hang in there nrkii... and yell at the therapist when needed, they can take it : )
there's still a big spot the surgeon couldn't repair at all, so I have a feeling the stuff he did repair is going to have to work extra hard
and nrk... be impatient if you must, but don't be stupid.
thanks kje!
DO NOT OVERDO nrkii! they will have to bump back your therapy levels and it just adds to your recovery
later kje!
bye stid and kje!
bye stid
poof
(((gentle hugs))) *poof*
bye stid ! bye kje!
beth, that's going to be my new mantra
bye stid
it is very important - sounds silly but itis true
that, and this saying which I'm going to post above my desk, which a former coworker put in a recommendation for me last week: "When face with problems, Nancy is a guiding light of positivity."
I asked him, Nancy who????
lol!
my current coworkers will ask the same after I put it over my desk
Let it be slow as long as it's safe; a mountain won't run if you chase it.
sounds smart BR

I'm lost, Nancy who?
my first name is Nancy
clue for te7 please
Ahhhhhhhh that makes things clear. I had always assumed it was Nicki :-)
nope, nrk are initials, and ii means the second
just shows you shouldn't go assumptions :-) afterall Katie is the name of Mum's cat :-)
te 7 === relate: te*l and read about superheroes in c**** books
see, never would have guessed that Katie
thanks BR
No, to give your daughter a cats name and the cat a human name. I wouldn't mind her first was called Kirsty, they all got 'normal' girl names :-)
ty
based on what's in your profile, though, I love your first name!
I love it too now, but it was a grower, and when knightrider came out my life was a misery!!
my middle name is Rae, and it made me miserable as a kid to have such a boyish middle name... my mom is Nancy Yvette, and I always wondered why they couldn't have given me her pretty middle name too... turns out she HATES her middle name even more than I used to hate mine
Lol, you never know how people feel about their names
hey all...ch 7 clue pls
Hi Kim
ch7 = c + satan rules h**l + robot ending

meanwhile, I'm here in a heated house wrapped in a wool shawl, drinking hot tea, and still not quite warm
hi, aussie!
What a schedule -- do the kids like it and since I am slow tonite how many days are considered your school year?
180 days in the year.
how's your weather over there, AUssie - we are in a deep arctic freeze
they just forecast it getting down to 8 degrees tonight which is cold for this part of OK
We start in mid-July
Erm, well, its 5 degrees outside......
it's 77 in Phoenix- I'm on my way
it's global freezing
This grid is really bringing out all the freak words in enable
we had minus twelve 2 weeks ago....
My school district is large so were have both tradtional and year-round schedule. the parents have a choice
so it works out the same as all of us --- it does sound like a nice schedule and you are not always stuck taking vacation on school vacation weeks
TORGIE !!!!!!!!! Hello Baby !!
luwanda and speed - catching up with your chat - I see you still have 180 days, it's just your vacations are spaced differently
I love it, espicially the fall and spring breaks.
yep
Heya aussie!
the kids don't lose as much. during fall and spring we offer 2 weeks of remediation and no summer school
That does seem like a good schedule.
we had to offer another school with the schedule this year because of demand. we now have 3 elementaries and 1 middle school with the schedule
finally finished the c's!!
bbl - gotta check email

LOL Pam.
hating these m words
The trouble is, if you take in all sorts of random/useless information like wot I do, the older you get the fuller your filing cabinets get and the longer it takes you brain to sort through them!
I have too many left to only hate th em's

jac, you're funny - you have many years to go before your file cabinets get full - but I know the feeling
I'm going to wander off to update my blog and see what I've been challenged to do on Facebook. Hope I'm not the only cluer here?
bye Jac, take care
i've just finished but can only stay a few minutes to clue
did anyone clue the ec6?
JBV - I find the 'files' in the end, but dread the day when I can't!
ec 6/30 - builds on the ec 4/6 - add 2 letter adjective ending
ec6 expands on the reverberating sound of the ec4 before it.
lots of ec 4
is 6 anyone?
does the so7 build from the so6?
so 7 has a double consonant
jbv, TY
is + what you might say if something goes wrong, 'O* ***l!'
ty JAC
I might BB in a while. Happy Babbling for now, all.

we have individual room heat, electric baseboards. i'm always toasty under the covers, so prefer 58 for sleeping.
I keep my house at 65 all winter, then wear 2-3 layers. Despite that my gas bill for the last month = $287.
what is 65 in c?
Just below "room temperature" <----68-72 F.
my home is set at 19c & my work is set at 17c!
65F is 18.333 C
thanx BR! similar then scrabs
Oh Mi Gosh !! I cannot believe in all the duos we named, we forgot Batman and Robin, and worst of all, we forgot Mork and Mindy !!!!!
19C = 66

in that case i would prefer 75!!

MrP - I was watching a moving house type programme the other day and the people wanting to move to Oz viewed a house just like your old one. They said it didn't seem 'very toddler-friendly'. I shouted at the TV and said YOU'D had no problems. It was a lovely house.

hi scrabs!
DR - how many kids do you have?

hi nrk
hi nrk!
Exactly, MrP!
Hi nrk
Maybe they were just too lazy to help the toddlers up and down the steps and supervise them in the garden?
ty BR-
other than sink holes or toxic waste, how child unfriendly could a how be?
this house we are in.... It was for sale for 16 months, and no one bought it cause it doesn't have a 'child friendly' back yard!! I am like.... WHATEVER! it is a beautiful house!! Let me move in now!!

It was named for Archibald C. Anada, famous hockey player
And one guy says "okay, I'm going to put all the letters of the alphabet into a hat. I'll draw 'em out one by one, and whatever comes out that'll be the name."
And all the other guys go "Yah that sounds pretty good dere."
So the first guy starts drawin' out letters and he goes: "C, eh" "N, eh" "D, eh" ..

Hi Pini
Hi, Pini!
how's it going??? ;)
51 left here...
91 here
I'm at 46
Hi pini!
12
she says sheepishly
Go, DR!
go DR go!
I'm laughing at my son who is listening to his iPod while going to sleep. I can hear him singing "Funkytown"
hehe
lol how old Magmom
Go DR!
he is 9
cute ;)
he has his moments lol
Jakes first guitar class was today- they are learning Men in Black
I can relate- jake just turned 10 last week
that sounds cool...both my kids want to play guitar
I have a daughter who is 10
he is doing in thru school
the teacher do it on their own time so the kids get music and art
that is convenient DR....we only have strings through our school system...they shut down our band program for elementary schools
My kids were 10 once...
so sad- THis is 3-6th only.. choir, dance or guitar.. total 6o kids.
If you're feeling nostalgic Pini I can lend you mine-- she's moody, irritable and knows absolutely everything
tomorrow is cartooning class... part of the same thing
you can borrow mine Pini
hi all, dr. was that your son earlier?
that is nice DR...anything like that we have to do outside of school, although they do rotate through music, art, and PE during the school day
no... Darth is my nephew. He is Danf63's son
oh, ok
how are you Shdy
the standard answer seems to be cold
magmom...sad for you that I'll probably have to pass on that wonderful offer...I have an 8yo GD that keeps me on my toes and another on the way!
That was MY offer
doing well, how are you? not so cold here as other places - in the south we're only expecting 20's tomorrow
I am good. enjoying life
wonderful, that's good to hear
its ok Pini.. he can ge a handful
Pini- quite understandable. You are so lucky that you are going to get to have "new baby smell" around!!!
did we scare pini away?
the thought of 2 10 year olds is terrifying! LOL
yes it is
wel.. I am off to get hubby prescription ...
night dr
I think I've given up for today
Bye, DR
I'm about to leave off, too...
