silk scarves, I use a fabric paint (it's cheaper than dye). You need to stretch the fabric over a frame to keep it suspended in the air (my home-made one died on me last sprint) otherwise it glops and capillary action makes it look peculiar

FMitch, I don't know, it's my first winter in WY, I have nothing to compare it to
our weather is not "normal" for our area FM in the last six years or so. our summers are longer and dryer, the winters are more extreme and unpredictable. More so than the usual "el nino/la nina" cycles
