to digress a bit - i made insanely delicious stuffed shells today. a neighbors son was visiting on leave from the Israeli army. He mentioned how much he loved my stuffed shells, so I had to! I made them with spinach onions and walnuts added to the traditional ricotta filling, plus some mascarpone to make it creamy 7 irresistible.
must be about 15 or more -- watched it (and Chicago Hope) before moving here nearly 13 years ago

yeah. of course the main effect of most of her craziness is just making the center look unprofessional, which is also something that is hard to quantify or have corrected.
Hurshy, I remember that a hundred years ago, when we got the first computers in the bank, we were told this would save soooo much paper --- no! the boss wanted hard copies of everything (sometimes in duplicate), and we received triple copies of transactions, to verify, to balance the branch each day.
i know, it's crazy, isn't it christine! i did eventually convince the people at my last job to cut down a lot. everything was on the computer and on a back up drive, backed up every night, and the one from the night before stored in one of those fire-proof boxes. i said, it's hard to imagine some disaster that's going to destroy that but spare the paper!
the thing that bugs me is, i don't think it was wrong for me to go to steve and ask what to do. and he didn't seem to think it was out of line either. and yet somehow she thinks it was very wrong.
and sometimes you have to stand up on these issues - exacly. you weren't wrong

and then i replied to her email and tried to be conciliatory, hoping to avoid a face-to-face meeting when i get back, and i said that perhaps if we resolved this issue over email we would both find it less emotionally draining. but she said, i think we still need to meet.
The meeting might clear the air between the 2 of you Hursh. Eat a bit of humble pie especially if you want to keep the job. But say that you want to be honest with her and that you are really really really concerned with the overuse of paper and ask what she thinks you can all, as a team, do about it.
