a lot of aboriginal children in her class
when they come to school
i've been in education all my life - i love being around children - it keeps your brain young to see how they perceive the world and have to learn so much of what we take for granted
she is a great teacher and the kids love her, she has devised all sorts of ways of getting them to school and it has been working
great to hear it, sandy, she must be wonderful
i also work with children whose language and culture is different from that of the school system and we do a lot of work with parents too, to help them become acculturated
she is but she has always had a great thirst to learn herself-I taught her to read by 3 years old
by grade one, she was reading novels
i was like her, too, sandy, and so was my son, baby readers, but it makes it so much more difficult to understand why some people cannot catch on to this basic basic skill
I am good at reading stuffed at remembering and school is giving me the shits
unfortunately, the parents of these children are not very caring about education. that is the problem- the children are often not fed and dont go to sleep untill 2 or 3 am and are often abused
it is a vicious circle that is very difficult for them to escape from. it is soooo sad

No the Government should spend the money on education. Pisses me off that they give all this money and then rich people bitch that their choosen PRIVATE school has no government help instead of the government schools not being 3rd world in some parts of the state so parents don't have to send their kids to a private school

It gets my goat that PRIVATE schools get more. Its could private for a reason. If you want your kid to go to that school that is your choice. Sadly if you are like my friend that lives in a really bad violent area she has no choice but to get money from mum and dad to send her kid to a decent school that doesn't involve being mugged or bashed
I agree that P&Cs do provide a lot of assistance-I used to work on the P&C but we lived in a wealthy area with very well educated parents - I dont believe really that poorer areas would have that much support from their P&Cs -We had a jumble sale for instant and put in a swimming pool for our local primary school

Hursh - Not all companies require that you have degrees specific to positions in question. I would think that some sort of training would be needed for accountancy, but I also wouldn't think it would need a masters.

i used to ice skate every year for my birthday...did a little rollerskating too when i was younger... havent done either in quite a while...
the difference between the two is that with figure skates the "stop" is at the toe, and with rollerblades the stop is at the heel. On only one foot. You stick that foot a little in front, raise up the toe and "squat" to put weight on it

It's not that hard with exercise, EvaN - that's how I lose when I want and need to. I find dieting doesn't really work, other than cutting out fattening treats, but moving a lot more does. If I don't exercise, nothing happens - when I do so regularly, then I do lose it, gradually.
so, the trick is to realize that im not fat??
You just apply that to whatever utensil you use to eat that one extra piece of ____ (fill in the blank) and the pounds melt off!
