You would definetely need a fenced yard, they are bolters and not good at all on recall (coming to heel etc). And they do NOT like being tied up (I know from experience!) even for a few minutes. They are fragile in that they have thin skin and no flesh to protect them, I have read of some horrific injuries from the simplist accidents. But I still love them for all their shortcomings.
I property is pretty small, so it wouldn't be enough space anyway. That is a big part of not getting a grey

Oh I had him tied up to not-sturdy-enough railings outside a shop (for about 3 minutes & within sight). He took fright at something and took off dragging the fencing with him...very luckily no damage to him and only a little damage to the car the fencing got caught under. A few days ago, he was tied up - much more securely - and decided to freak out over some stationary bicycles parked very close to him. Lol...and then got really concerned about some small sandbags on the footpath. Not exactly fearless dogs!

Yes, Hurshy, I do think our bosses are similar--narcissistic, controlling, ego-squashing micro-managers.
( I only did that ONCE scrabs.... my son was really little..i was pulling him in a wagon and he stood up..fell down and I was across road from his office... when my son fell he landed with one f the wooden splays ( like a fence picket) and jabbed him in eye socket..in flesh above the bone..not in the eye itself..I stopped ..and asked if dr could have a peek to let me know is he ok..or should I be calling a cab and going to hospital )

ugh...i never took kids to dr with earache..I put vicks behind hear...gave them a heating pad in the pillow set on lowest temp..and sent them to bed...morning..earache gone

people like walk-in clinics because they are lazy and don't have to make appointments! well, that's my opinion. But if it lowers the no-show percentage, anything good. Our surgery has a something like 40% no-shw rate for appts
