It conspired on me, too. All the coffee all day made me fall out 5 min before flip, slept until 6 this morning in the chair, then another 4 hrs in bed.

I moan at teens all the time for mangled the language, but, there again, they're just doing their own thing and turning it on its head to make it their own, as has always happened. Eventually, their grandchildren will be using MY version of English. LOL. That's what I love about our language, the fact that it's so versatile.

Pink - UK and US English are worlds apart. Being a stilted Welsh and Latin and Spanish speaker, I can often make more sense out of those languages than I can the US. I must watch more American TV. I learned Aborginal and Strine from watching Aussie TV!

As an often published poet, I might one day be in the running for PL. Not a post I'd want for the paltry sumof £2,000 at year for writing what you're asked / told to write. That goes against everything poetry is about.
Well, I work with poets at the uni...they're an interesting lot! :)
I've gotta git goin' for now...back later...
But, even if it was £10,000 or £20,000 a year, I'd still have to have a think about being told what to write. I'd write as it seemed and came to me and inmy own way and in my own voice, or else there would be no point in it and I would not be 'A Poet'.

A far as I can tell the family originated in France and then made their way to the Isle Of Man and Cornwall, the majority landing up on the Isle of Man. From there, they travelled mostly to Wales, Liverpool, Manchester and the West Midlands.
