Crossy - about three or four times a year I find myself home alone for the weekend, and I always get a really nice rye bread and broil about half a pound of thick-cut, maple smoked bacon for bacon-and-tomato sandwiches. Wonderful, and apparently far enough apart that it suits my doctors fussinesses. Of course, the rest of the time, I try not to let myself think about bacon, which hs gotten ever so much harder since I started Babbling!

I think it is what you are used to. We were drinking champagne on the beach and snorkling with turtles, both fantastic experiences but not like getting up at 4am on a cold dark winters morning to rip open your presents

well, i do have a CD of original instrumental piano music available on iTunes
when my kids were young, I volunteered as a "picture person" at their small parochial grade school. It was a program with the Mpls Art Institute; and at first I had some trouble with some of the kids because they couldn't or wouldn't settle down and listen to the info on the art. I started bringing cassette tapes of music related to the art pieces, and that was the key to getting their attention and helping them undersatnd some of the art pieces better

they are probably taking a small group of middle schoolers then. I would ask what the adult to child ra5 is likely to be, and how much experience they have with kids with aspergers. One of our leaders teachers special needs kids at a high school, so I was comfortable she would be able to head off potential trouble.

I still remember lots of stuff from trips when I was 8 and 12
depends on the child, jill -- maturity is not always linked to chronology
of course, I went with my mother...
DR -- they might be able to use you as a co-leader? I think you'd have to pay your way, but you'd be there if he needed you.
I am going to check it out and see what I think. I think it was the grades and th " I want to be a humanitarian" but not so much the I make friends easily
