Heavens not that far lynxxx about 70 miles but have leapt over a couple of counties and am about 1/2 an hour away from Mum rather than and hour and 15.

My parents retired to Gippsland Lakes - 3-4 hours drive. It was just awful when they were terminally ill. Awful on both sides.
I can imagine that would have been very tiring unless you were able to stay overnight etc.

It depends what church you belong to, and you can't get absolution as a non-Catholic
so it sort of sounds like if you're just looking to talk and get advice, you could go and use the booth thingy, if you don't want absolution and stuff.
