I would suggest counseling as an option but find a counselor who is committed to helping stay together

At one time, this was the day that the well-to-do gave their servants gifts - if only a small cash bonus - in a box. I can;t work out whether this was supplementary to giving them a big party with the leftovers from the master's table or not.

We got some rain yesterday, BR, so there's less snow on the ground now.
I can't even get out of my driveway, thanks to the snowpllows. :-)

I got everything I wanted when I moved in, JBV :) actually, Leo and I are worse than broke, so we were creative with presents this year. And yes, it was lovely :D
creative is the best way - my favorite kind of Christmas, I am the one who writes poems, copies old photos, etc. I sometimes wonder if people think I'm cheap but the thought really does count

so I dug up an old photo of her as a baby on the original chair (circa 1950) and had it framed, she LOVED it and placed on the table next to the "new" chair

it had map reading questions and some easy math stuff. a local recruiter mentioned to me that the younger generation cannot read maps as well as us old farts
that makes sense, jane. those of us that predate computers would be better at that, i'm imagine.
so it seems. i can also tune a musical instrument by ear, another lost art in this digital age. plus i can add and subtract in my head....
I wonder what the census takers will do when those younger folks get older and still can't read a map...will they take the census using GPS un5?
