My friend has 2 dogs not desexed. One male one female. He has never ever tried. The first time she bit him on the bits and told him off
really funny that he didn't seem to notice other than the fact that he spent the day at the vets, greeted me happily and has not seemed to have noticed the wound, vet gave me 5 pain tablets which i gave him over 2 days

female chows are much bolder than the males; both of our males have been really meek except when other dogs attack. Then, it's another story
everyone to their own but i feel unless a dog is being shown or bred from they should be desexed
it does reduce the risk of cancers, especially for girls.
we don't have to worry about ours because there are no females in the neighborhood and Ruby is fixed

glad i didn't know that red, my darling springer spaniel nearly 20 years ago died of cancer aged 7

the only mean dogs I've ever know were, believe it or not, yellow labs. But I think it was the owners' faults
I actually completly believe that. They are such high energy dogs if not properly trained and well exercised, problems can occur
they attacked our gentle male, Rufus, and he took them down in a heartbeat, but didn't hurt them. They just slunk away
anyhow its done now and i'm glad its over, stitches will come out in a couple of days and we will both forget it ever happened, i am sure it will make him a better pet

years ago, I had a friend with a black lab who used to swim with me. As I dog paddle, he probably thought I was just some funny-looking little dog
male chows sleep about 26 hours a day!
I have not had very good experiences with chows, I admit...but they are stunning in appearance.
again, I think it's bad owners. I've known a lot of them and not one of them has been the least bit nasty, but they are very protective of me, and that's a good thing
The one I had a lot of experience with was overprotective of owner. I was doing home health, and for several visits the dog would not let me near the owner.. and tried to bite me, despite the owner giving all the "Ok" signals
I think any dog is really a product of owners. the worst bite I have ever gotten was from a chihuahua. the family came to pick her up and were also afraid of the dog!
I can understand your not liking them, then, they can look very scary -- huge teeth in black gums!
they are however, very fluffy...
but if they swallow something bad, I can always just put my hand in their mouths and remove it, never a problem
I don't like chihuahuas and that is the only dog my dil likes. Poor son!
My friends dog has a gapping maw and you can very easily put your hand in his mouth to get something bad out

went grocery shopping- friends are comming for dinner- the one who " can t be bothered with coupons"... i spent 200 bucks- then i gave the checker my store card... tghen i gave him the coupons that i spent 1 whole hour on with the shopping circular... i paid 127 bucks for the groceries.. got 7 bucks in coupons for the next trip and have 1.20 off a gallon on next tank of gas. figure i saved about 100 dollars altogether.... i will taske the time to do the coupon thing yessir!!
sammys, well done. back in the early 90s, i worked for a local discount grocer. Once a month, a woman came in early on a Thursday, and filled 5-7 carts of stuff. (we opened a register just for her) After coupons, she usually only spent about 70 dollars for all those cartful s of groceries.
$100. for an hour's work - that's pretty good going.
i never made that much an hour when i was working-lol

You would ne4 to drink gallons of cranberry juice to decrease your urine pH. Just drink tons of fluids so that you have dilute urine, and pee a lot.
