If I have an irrational phobia of a small town in Ohio, does that make me an xe5phobe?
you could be an acronaphobe
but we should cleve(land) enough alone
Akron is a pretty big city
(pretty ugly city too)
thx diz
Actually, xenophobe is a real word...it's what people get called when they oppose illegal immigration...it's scary because people don't use it in everyday conversation
not quite that, specifically
I mean, that's not the def. - they do get called that, I agree
People could oppose illegal immigration for entirely rational reasons, thus canceling the "phobe" part altogether
I oppose it on legal grounds, heh
hubby just returned from site of robbery... scary
I'm in favor of *eventually* opening up free global migration - decades or centuries from now
yw andree, did you get them?
seems to be that "sexwish" should be a word.. I mean.. we have the word deathwish..
lol ru
death wish, two words
yes thx diz
Is deathwish actually a word in the Babble dictionary?!?
(where's Chrles Bronson when you really need him?)
luv those Death Wish movies
grem knows, ruru, grem knows
he's in the belly of Chuck Norris, of course
I don't think I've ever checked to see if Aleut is in the dictionary. It isn't, proper name, yada yada yada
did he come back as a protein shake?
When I got lo4 and sl5 around the same time, I had this mental image of the Roman soldiers playing sl5 for the robe of Christ...

There's a picture of Obama hiding behind Ray LaHood at the Health Care Beer Summit. I'm recalling that...

been lurking and working :)
* grin * me too
good heaven the sa 7 and 8 are a real doozy!
50 left to find and I will return later. Happy Babbling all.
strange that word. only reference i can find is to a city in pakistan
nite mitch, lovely to see you again
from that, it came to also mean: "a cow with a hump on the back of its neck and small horns, belonging to a breed of cattle originating in Pakistan and suitable for rearing in tropical conditions"
c'mon! sa 7 in daily use .... not ! ty for the clue!
ahhhh, thanx grem
fading fast, off to bed, goodnight all
yup, can certainly use that in a conversation at work....can just see the stunned looks on the surgeon's face now. LOL
nite flosey, sleep well hun
My last blank tile is the northern a. Will I feel foolish when you give me a clue? Most likely, but I'll try not to stay that way for long.
there's a 4 and an 8 there
as8, more of the state of wood after burning
INXS is in the grid "I need you tonight, cause I'm not sleepin' There's somethin about you girl, that makes me sw5
ai4, plural of the 18th letter of the arabic alphabet
D'oh, I've known that as a Babblet for a long time! Feeling foolish in 3...2...1...
Ok, stopping feeling foolish and starting to feel grateful for granny's assistance in 3...2...1
LOL, douglas
Thanks for your company all...happy babbling and good night (or whatever time it is where you are)
nite douglas
i'll go as well.....unless someone needs a clue or three
nite all, see you at the flip

HI
hi everyone
Hello Andree and all
HI Back
hi Infernal
How you?
hain
bed time with 50 left night all happy babbling
sorrys
Very well. How is school this week?
sweet dreams Diem
Night Diem
So so long. I have been badgered all day. I am so tired
what about u?
I'm good
How is Stew?
He's sleeping - couldn't get his after-morning-walk sleep of 2 hours so he's slept all afternoon! Lazy slugs that they are
awww
its a dogs life!!!
That sounds like me on a day off
I am very happy, I got a new keyboard for my laptop today - Look this whole sentence with no spelling errors!
I wish that was me now
Are they expensive to replace?
$60 for the part and I got them to put it in - another $30
that is not too bad
No - it hasn't cost me anything else in 4 years
thats pretty good lynxxx
Touch wood. Laptops can be very expensive
This one cost me $1,600 all up - I am sure my next one would be only half of that. Like TVs they have fallen rapidly in price
nice
My boy is in the grid!
Hang on - that means Infernal should be in the PB
i have been looking at a mac and its pretty expensive
why a Mac?
Not a fan of Macs. If i had the money I would buy one for music and design programs
my kids all have macs and even the kids can do the most amazing stuff, has amazing programns and best for photos
all the schools use macs now
I learnt on Apples/Macs yonks ago but have no need for anything fancy and am more than happy with HPs etc
Macs do have amazing design programs
Apple is very smart/cunning with its marketing
And they charge like wounded bulls unfortunately
but most of the programns cost almost nothing or come with the computer, one of the benefits
I really want to put 'shit' into the grid
anyhow that thought is on hold as daughters boyfriend bought us one for the house, i haven't used it yet still tapping away on my laptop but when i get around to it it will be good practice to see if thats what i want
At least you get a test run Andree
Hey Andree - did you hear? we are going to be allowed to water 3 times a week rather than 2! But they still want us to maintain the 155 litre target.
Lynxx that has something to do with Gumby being a complete tool. I have no idea who to vote for this year
3 times is better than 2, but if you grow veg, not enough
No we need water to drink. The grey is good for veg. or bore
I don't think the grey is good for veges - ?
There is tank water too
Ok no you can't use it as you eat it
Going to dive into the grid for a bit
me, 67 left
me 173 left need to go do work :(
am done and ready for the rest of the da. So much for waking up hideoulsy early :(
Poor Ata
OPPS FM

opine
oops, guess it shook me up - sorry

hi peri
Morning Peri!
Hi Peri
I am surprised that this grid has 225 words. The top half seems limited.
Hi All. Hi Scrabs
hi Hego!
Hi Hego!
morning, hego
Hi Hego!
How's the skiing, snowshoeing, etc.
et?
Scrabs, I get exhausted just hearing about your activities. lol
It has come to an end, Hego. Well, actually, I could snowshoe. As for XC-skiing I am sure that the trail has soft, mushy snow--tough to ski on.
Hi kje
Hi kje
hi hego
What do you do in summer?
I love being active outdoors. But I have lost no weight over the winter despite my intense exercise. Grrrrr.
Mountain biking, hiking, kayaking.
WOW!
et 6---e and claw

Hi flosey!
peri, is the as8 a normal word?
hi flosey
Hi Flosey!
peri - sa8/65 - no dictionary result - sa+not bye+2/3 of brick structure dividing properties
btw the sa8 is pl of the sa7
Bizaare word. TY.
ty so much ursh, never would have found it
hi everyone again....I so far have found the grid pleasant but I do have 84 left...
Hi Flosey + Ursh
yes flosey, got it from an earlier clue
I looked that sa8 up...it is a city in Punjab
I was working on the X words--dictionary helped.
ty ursh
Hi Red
ooh, tyvm ursh, opened chat just in time to catch your great clue. Hi everyone..
hego, I love your flower.
and I like yours, Red
yes, hego, your flower is beautiful
hi aloy
and thanks ursh
Hi Aloy!
Hi Aloy. Back in Ohio or still in FL?
yours is too, red
Peri, you trounced me again in Scramble!
How come a city is not considered a proper noun? Still in FL, Scrabbs.
hi all. Sa7/8 is district administrative headquarters, connected by road and rail to Lahore, and a market for food grains and cotton. However, uncapitalised, it is also one of the best dairy breeds in India and Pakistan. It is tick-resistant, heat-tolerant and noted for its high resistance to parasites, both internal and external.
correction: the sa7 is the city in Punjab..the sa 8 is a plural
and good afternoon all
I was reading a garden catalog last night. They sell packages to set up a complete garden with blooms through each part of season. e.g. 6 x 12 ft garden. For shade, or for sun. I might buy one or two and have instant gardens.
soory, red. I keep getting trounced by Owl and sometimed Jacula
and hi there spritey
lol, tyvm sprite!
sounds nice, Scrabbs
hello there, spritey
TY Sprite + Annie
Hi Sprite!
I passed halfway. Time for a break.
I knew someone else would want to know too, Aloy! :)
wait a minute, aren't cities proper names? Oh, forgot, I am dealing with enable :)
Bye, Scrabs, good to see you.
silly girl, peri

Time for a break too, see you later dear babblers
bye Peri
And Annie
bye Annie, Scrabs, other leavers
bye, Annie
.. oh, Scrabs and peri are off too.. bye to them
I have that effect on people ;)
Oh, no Sprite. Not true.
was a joke!
lol sprite... no way..
your icon theme is very pretty, isn't it hego! Loved to see all the flowers.
I hope so.
Yes, Sprite, very nice. So good of you to do it.
ah, finally found a word to use the "ish" ending
am glad we made it into a recurring theme. It makes the chog so pretty!
yay Aloy! So that is a disappointing corner today?
Flowers are wonderful, aren't they?
miracles of nature
yes, for me it has been
They bring such beauty to the world.
so far only one short word that ends there and one that ends in the ending, so to say.
same here, sprite
me too
at least we are together in that, Aloy :)
Can't believe there's 225 words in here.
first halve seems easy enough to find. But now the other halve!
I've not even gotten that far. lol
only just!
if waif is such an oldfashioned word, can't we write it waiph then?
looks nice that way, sprite.. I'll vote for that idea!
good!
okay by me!
3 votes!
YAY!
Hello all been lurking, 59 to go and its getting rough lol
Hi Mel
hi mel, 79 here and going slow
could I get a clue for the as 8 please?
hi meliae.. have been hunting an elusive st6
don't have it yet, sorry
Haz had a great clue for the as 8: the state of being cinders as I recall
I hasve one that's a plural, but I'll bet you have that.
I bet it is the one after the robbed word I have been looking for that one as well
wow cool clue, got it
Oooo ty Aloy.
found the st6 finally
No, I have 2 actually.
yes, that clue gave me the as8 too (-:
as8 - dead embers, vowel + loch **** monster
I have 3, Aloy, is that all?
it's spots on clothes.
hey flosey
there are 5 st6's
YIKES!
oh ok, thanks Aloy, lolllll. Long from done then for me.
oops, make that SIX, counted incorrectly
ty for the as 8

Hi again, Flo
Aloy, please stop counting NOW!

lol Aloy
hi flosey! so busy counting, didn't see your arrival
was your st 6 the one after the word having to do with robbed items Aloy?
have been in and out Aloy - took a tylenol3 and getting drowsy
yes it was, meliae... took me forever and all I had to do was change a ding dong vowel
aren't you feeling well, flosey?
ooh, sorry flosey.. toothache or migraine?
yay thank you that was an onery one for sure!
no Aloy, arthritis
don't take them very often but quite effective when needed
ouch.. do topical ointments help?
Ah yes Flosey, a literal pain.
guess that is a no then, flosey :( Sorry to hear it. Hope it will lessen fast.
do you have the st 5 right before taking something that did not belong to you anyone? making me nuts
the spots on clothes?
yes, sometimes Aloy, I find extra strength Lakota to be very good
nm got it
oh now... the beer that is old
The trick in babble is to try anything pronounceable.
got them all, thanks Aloy
or even remotely resembling a word in any language, Drlemon
sorry you have to deal with it, flosey.. does warmer weather help?
and some unpronounceable!
yw sprite
yep, sprite. thats right.
i learned a new word! it's pone.
hush, can't type the words in the chig.
uh, chog even
hi Driemon, nice to meet you.. yes, like hego said.. any word in the grid is not allowed in the chog
or else.. you go straight to the infamous PB
a bit more involved, actually Aloy, have a disk in lower back that is a bit out of line
it is because it will spoil the fun of others who still have to find it
chiropractician any good, flosey?
oh no flosey.. double ouch!
ok.
Flosey, I have the same problem.
seto
ah Hego, sorry to hear
sorry you share that problem, hego

pffft here is a clue for you la 6/30 how a hispanic might say "the vino"
lol mel. Lots of snow dropping down the mountain?
but Driemon, you are allowed to say, "I learned a new word, po4", or "po**)
Ok.
hi all
hi Boobear
hi Boobear
thanks for the la clue mel
hiyas boo, ok sprite not enough coffee you lost me lol
the meaning of your word
oh lol
I didnt look it up yet
I do that when I am finished look up the meanings of new words
I didn't either, it is the meaning of that word in dutch.
A lot of these words sound like they're in Dutch to me. lol
lollllll It means avalanche, if the meaning is the same.
quick search tells me that la6 is German, not English, and means avalanche
hello. :)
The meaning of po4, which everyone probably has now thanks to me, is a kind of bread made of cornmeal. I learned something today!
looked it up and yes, it is the same word. It looks so dutch because it is derived from the German.
thanks Drlemon! One of the fun things of Babble for me is there are always new words to discover.
i grew up eating corn po4
very common in south USA Drlemon
hi seain *hug*
hi Seain
{{{sprite}}} hope you're doing reasonably well?
hi, hego :)
yay, Driemon! enjoyed meeting you.. I am off, Babblers, to conquer other things today.. Happy Babbling to all, see you next grid.. hugs to Terra, Sprite.. (-:
things have been rather bumpy of la4, seain, so I cannot honestly say yes to that, but I should be on the mend now and other things are going better as well. How are you doing?

hope you will sleep flosey

are speech-delayed children often slightly developmentally delayed?
as8: the state of being in cinders (clue from haz)
not necessarily, seain. Why?
ne 6/30 - a unit of force measurement named after Sir Isaac
younger nephew seems in some ways immature for 4 is all.
but that is partially influence of his much older brother, i think.
does he hear more than one language often, seain?
I was speech delayed and it was not true for me I just didnt have anything to say
older brother speaks to him in nonsense
some Danish
speech delayed as in does not talk, or specch delayed in enunciation etc
some Spanish, and some Chinese
some children think more than they talk, some are more oriented on seeing and feeling than on hearing. Many things are possible.
enunciation and word formation.
he had a vocabulary of non-verbal noises he used before the year with the speech pathologist
another problem is not correcting miss pronciations and letting the child continue on talking 'baby talk"
ok, children that grow up in a multilingual environment are usually later with talking. But they build up several language systems in that time, so in the end it is a plus. Also, they will make up the time later.
yes, that would be older brother influence
morning - dc has he had a hearing test?
hey hootowl!
yes, hearing is fine
6 to go I am going to have to beg for clues I think
hi sprite
hello, hoot and mel
no need to beg, mel, we'll love to help you if we can :)
and he wants to use the computer for a bit, so i'll bbl
thanks yall {poof}
hootowl, I told my daughter you would be willing to advise us on setting up a good aquarium and she is so happy!
Ok then big brother is problem. Woulf didn't talk either until 3-4 because we enabled him basically. We'd ask qustions and he's shake his head, ye or no.
bye seain *hugs*
A visit with his cousins - all a little older - cured that fast! They wouldn't allow no answers
brilliant, hootowl. No incentive in talking - no talking :)
I'll help as much as possib;e sprite. Send me e-mail and info on tank size and what kind if fish you'd like and we'll go from there
They also toilet trained him but don't tell him I told you that!
it won't be immediately, hootowl, as we still have to save money for it, but we will send you an e-mail when we start.
oh lollll wtg on the cousins!
kasdjlkajsdklas lkasjdlkasjd
ok - no problem.
I am not seeing something. Could I please have a clue for the ou 7 words? Thank you
my girl couldn't stay dry nights for a long time. Then one night we had forgotten to buy new diapers and no shops open anymore. I decided to give her a couple of my tena lady's to make do. Told her they weren't as good as her diapers. She looked at them, then at me, and said: " I can do without." And she could.
Yeah - big help. But they did a number on the youngest. My sister had 5 kids and there was a gap between 4 and 5 of about 10 years. The things they taught her!!!!
yay finally ~Firewords~ and that ta 6 & 7 combo about drove me nuts
It's the first ou 7 that I need.

Nikolai Te***
I'm glad hooty likes them b/c I never have and always thought I was missing out on something.
hey I didn't know that, thanks geek. I was thinking plural dingleberries, but that would be crazy of course... that would be a female ending, lol.
oh it probably evens out. We have stuff and you have stuff. And I haven't had one in a while so they may not be as good as I remember them anymore
welll... we have stroopwaffles... pea soup... chocolate and cookies... the netherlands aren't bad either.
Don't be silly Merk. Everyone has different preferences. I don't like Oreos!
pea soup cookies???
And tx geek
lol everybody here always talked about oreos and I was really feeling like I was missing out on those. Now the shops have them here as well and I don't like them much either.
lol that would be something new, pea soup cookies
they are too sweet for me
Oreos that is
afk a sec brb

Well I am one of the few who doesn't care for chocolate in any form but they always tasted phoney to me anyway.
Well you listed pea soup with what I assume are cookies???
you must have a perfect figure, hootowl
Only if you love dumpy
also remind me I think I have some in the freezer...

shepher'd's pie with a big mixed green salad plus cupcakes donated by a local "designer" bakery :-)
*shepherd's
thats good;) shepards pie will stick to the ribs nicely;)
not sure if the cooks are adding greens to pie or serving them on the side -- in any case, they're getting healthy food!
has anyone seen ruru? I wanted to tell him I found the wine he recommended . . .
(to take to my daughter's graduation weekend celebration)
nope, just got here and taclking the t,s;))

yaa for annie!!
Une, what a great haul and a wonderful meal too.
Une, the wi4 that you found, is it a red?
congrats, annie!
yes, it's a red, Annie -- more expensive than I usually buy but it's a special occasion: 2007 Chateau Montmirail Vacqueyras Cuvee Deux Freres
(she's gonna love it)
I went ahead and bought several bottles :-)
hey, ruru!!
the wine guy was VERY enthusiastic about it as well LOL
Une, I am always looking for a nice red when I visit my daughter and family. Know nothing about wine. Can you or ruru tell me the name of the wine and the price that you paid?
just listed it, Annie
what state do you live in annie?
You already entered the name, thanks. price please?
dunno what it would be in Brooklyn but here it was about $25-26 a bottle
Price should be $20-$22..
It will be way cheaper in brooklyn
makes sense, TN is pricey
it's my house red.. it is yummy
ruru, I also have 2 different guys looking for the Domaine de la Solitude locally :-)
Thanks so much, ruru and Une. I will definitely buy a couple of bottles and bring them up with me.
It is in the Langdon-Shiverick catalog
annie, ruru also recommended 2007 Domaine de la Solitude Cotes du Rhone
that one should cost you $12 or less
morning late comers. Makes me wi**sometimes that I drink wine...
hey, hootowl!
Thanks you two! I love red wine.

oh, really? didn't know that -- lemme check . . .
Thanks, ruru for the wi5. I appreciate it because I never know what to buy when I go up to Liz and family. They are wi4 as I am. Nothing like a good wi4 with a good meal.
pretty much ru - they are climbing with spikes and will spread desease thru the tree but wth -.
lol im not a wine fan,but i do love the names they come up with for them,,hehe just once id like to see this.."a bold fruity wine cause i put fruit in it,and a hint of coffee, cause i spilt a bag of it in the basement,a long finish cause i made it a tad thick and it sticks to my teeth, made from the finest wal-mart grapes" :)))
crossy I approve!!!!!!!!!
I love it, Crossy!

love cheese!!!
oh, crossy, there's nothing wrong with artisanal cheeses!
Do they sell the cheese Une?
we have a pretty great selection at our local Dean and Deluca
i don't think so
awhile back I asked around about TN goat cheese since I SEE goats along the interstate all the time

funniest thing i ever saw though, was one time they had a fundraiser at the resort to raise money for the salvation army food bank.i was serving m,lady(one of about 50) and had to comment on her necklace.she informed me that it was worth the better part of 1.5 million dollars...she never did understand the irony of it all;)
Hi everyone! On my lunch break...
yeah that is their raison d'etre crossie
howdy brookie;))
How's it going, crossy!
not bad at all,bit of a cold, but we are holding up well;)
hi all
*looks over should to be sure staff is not looking*
howdy jmc
Hi jmc! And sorry to hear you have a cold, crossy.
jmc, i could never get away with playing babble at work... taking my lunch at home.
lol, there is a little application you can get jmc.it puts a whole bunch of official spread sheets and graphs in your task bar.if someone is coming, you hit a single button and your hard at work;))
i need that
or you could pull up your own spreadsheet and minimize it till needed... i've done that before when checking my personal email from work
lol,bad brookie...
yeah, i feel really terrible. note sarcasm.
I just click on another program
I get away with it because i am the boss lady
alt+tab is your friend
hi dc
hi dc!
hi, jmc, brookie, scienec, crossey et al.
thats when the whole thing bogs down on that page of japaneese dragon anime porn you were looking at by mistake
what is the theme for icons today?
ooh vodka!
howdy dc

just popping in quickly while chat is about computers, and hi!

howdy ata
the boy likes vodka though
we hove some vodkas, much much, much more bourbon
hi, ata
hi ata
does anyone know how to move windows around in the bottom bar in windows xp? so I could move my word tab next to my excel tab instead of my adobe window etc
hi ata!
so is it true when you put in new RAM you should take out the old RAM?
which release of windows, ata?
you left click on the tab and drag it over ata
it gives less headaches if you have matched ram jmc
yes, what jmc said mostly
bbl, nephew is demanding
okay that is pretty much what i was told
i just spent bucks on upgrading RAM at the center
how old a newphew?
buy 2 sticks of 1 gig matched ram and your done
*nephew
noooo that doesn't work for me :(
This grid reminds me of a favorite pun courtesy of Alexander Woollcott, who uponn sailing past a group of Northern islands, remarked "At least I still have my Aleutians."
i bought i stick of 2 gig
that works also
while your in there and you are grounded, clean out the dust bunnies behind the cpu fan and heat sink
oh i misunderstood ata -- you have to open them in order to get what you want
yes they had me spring for a can of air
Oh well, I guess Woollcott rates a big yawn.
i also bought a static wrist thing because this office is full of static electricity
i find a toothpick in combination with a small shop vac works well also
urf. I always assumed there would be some clever way of doing it! Obviously not ...
yes,watch the static
hello everybody. I just saw a powerful French movie about the deportation of the Jews in the war called "Le Rafle". Jean Reno produced and was in it. I wonder if it's released in the US, as I never heard of it before.
The literal translation is "police raid"

lol
Yes JMC- I usually get excused though : (
good afternoon ya'll from the sunny outer banks of north carolina!
hah!
howdy mp
Hi MP
I love butterfly bushes. I didn't know burning them made new ones
jmc, I was forewoman on a jury many yrs ago -- insurance fraud -- I was horrified at what was supposedly a "jury of one's peers"
why do you get excused DR?
don't try that at home, kids
neither did we!
hey, mpittore
I had to excise a couple but there are still around 11
wouln't that make them a "burnng bush"?
hi mpitt
*wonders if the police would arrest for arson if set butterfly bush on fire*
hahah
hi MP
*oops burning
Last time the case was a guy sueing a hospital because he said he had nerve damage from an IV
hi babblers
howdy robbie
i am always made the foreperson when i am on juries.
hey, robbie
hi ruby...do you get your name from a deelish NY chinese rest?
Since I have had numerous surgery and have spinal cord damage, they excused me because I had lots of knowledge of IVs
in dc it is very hard to avoid jury service since we are so small
hi une!
he also burned the pampas grass (by accident , twice - lol) and it came back much improved after one dormant summer
interesting DR
hi jmc,ruby,DR,Mp
lol ruby, what does he do/ walk around with a flame thrower??
There are a bunch of people sitting here... they will be calling names shortly
ruby you need to keep your hubby away from fire!
Our whole group was sent home after 1.5 hours - lots of cheering would-be jurists
hi robbie
MPitt: I used to go there with my mother when I was little, but my chow Ruby's nickname is Rubyfoo.
Hi Robbie
jmc, having a little less excitement today?
ruby that's what they do to forests to regenerate growth...natures way...lightning can be a good thing...starts the forest on fire and hence new growth begins
he has also set two with ashes from the fireplaces, one a smolder in the kitchen and the other big flames in the garbage can in the street.
yikes, ruby!! LOL
yes the fire is gone so I really should change my icon but i am uninspired
cute ruby, I like it!
the neighbors set up a bucket brigde until the firemen came. I blamed it on someone throwing a cigarette butt in the trash can
oh dear,ruby!
i think your hubby needs counseling!
lol tell him to get a metal can just for the ashes to sit for 24 hrs till they can be thrown out
brigade*
good tip crossy..our firplace could use cleaning
is the restaurant still there? I think it was on 6th avenue and about 56th St
yea! greyed the h's
wtg DR!
we once had a wood fired igloo oven and a metal can was a must!
jmc...where is that fire I worked at Pepco at 10th and E then we moved up right by the world bank and the white house in my beginning work life
oh, I forgot I was supposed to be playing lol
ty JMC
it was at 1800 Conn. in a small apartment building
just above Florida Ave
ruby never ben there only read about it online
go DR!
we have no good Chinese or other oriental restos here and I really miss that kind of food
i don't know any X words except xylophone and xray!
I must trim my nails making lots of typos...as soon as I start gardening they will not grow so darned fast....so many women would kill for my healthy long nails...
and xenophobic
I did grand jury duty..I thought it was fun
think of the warrior princess JMC - the one on tv
xena
That would be interesting Robbie
oops
ty DR
I cheated and looked up xe in my handy scrabble dictionary. Do I have to go to the PB?
close MP
my son was on a grand jury when he turned 18!
Amazon warrior?
no RUby- thats ok
no ruby its not cheating
yes it was..I was foreperson and got to swear witnesses in

Retired...Life is Good!
lol MP
17 years to go for me mp:(
oops dogs are barking...better let them outside
I thought it would never happen...worked til the day I gave birth...back 5 weeks later...and then at 55 the government got rid of our jobs...looked at the numbers....and poof...retired...I had always planned to work til 62 or 65...but I educated myself and kept moving up...good decisions enable me to do this.
very nice indeed mp:)
Also I forgot to give credit to a wonderful husband!
would you persuade my supervisor of the wonders of retirement? she's a pain in the posterior
though getting a govt job here is like doing a magic trick, they always gives slots to relatives after advertizing for 1 week in the isambull gazette lol
ROFL crossy
it has gotten a bit that way here also...it used to be so different in the 70's when I went from the electr company to the gov't.
or they have a minority slot to fill and it stays empty for 3 years till they get the good pr person to fill it
You are so right about that crossy...I had several "burps" in my career due to the same thing...gets quite discouraging sometimes...it's not always the "more you know the further you go" such a shame...we need to really concentrate on educating our children and then we won't need such special rules...I think education up through a formal degree or specialized skill would go along way to tune up our country...it should be free and mandatory!
mp,with all honesty i could get a govt job right now if i just cut one leg off
quite a price to pay...
indeed
Good afternoon everyone. Fun grid today?
seems ok to me so far, through most of the fourth row
LOL crossy...once I lost a position I applied for because they had to give it to a minority..I told them they better check their records because I am native american....but that is the ONLY minority that has to Prove their minority status...now how's that for prejudice!
hello Takuma
hello all
lol,mp.it is all too familliar
Crossy?
howdy hego
I'd better get off my painted pony and crawl back into my teepee before they take away my land......again!

well gotta run...we are bundling up and going to the beach...back later
tc mp
bye MP
lol our beach is still under 15 feet of ice and snow
but is currently melting nicely
one year we had a wild spring onshore wind that rafted the ice up over 20 feet high and it took out the entire front row of cottages that we were managing:(
sounds lovely.
that was long ago, when our water levels were higher.we used to have between 80- 110 feet but i think 70 is the max these days.we expect to gain back a meter or 3 this year though;)
nice area though.
amazing area.i love georgian bay
back again, hi everyone
oh, Georgian Bay is such a beautiful area
howdy flosey
Hi Flo. Feeling better?
we use to go up to Thornbury - a beautiful little town
you can hop in you kayak here at the dock and in 20 minutes your drifing over reeefs and old turn of the century wrecks
news
yes thanks Hego, but still groggy from the codein
i love thornbury
they have some very unique old homes, eh crossy
the Edmond Fitzgerald.
totally amazing flosey we have many of the original poineer log homes still standing by the hill
we always went in October when the maples were ablaze in all their glory
as well as those high tech 3 million dollar monster homes
sept and oct are my fave time here
all the citiots have gone home and we have our town back
don't caare for those high tech multi $ homes crossy
Here too Crossy
i could show you restored log homes that would bring a tear to your eye..
ne
yes, understand exactly crossy, SSI population increases in summer with all the tourists, so we look forward to labour day when we can, once again, find a parking spot in the local village
you wake up to the deer and the wild turkeys plaing in the yard
indeed flosey
playing
we see occasional wild turkeys here - not so much lately
wwe now have a good population of wild turkeys thanks to a deal we make with kentucky.20 years ago we traded 100 of your white tailed deer for 100 of thier wild turkeys;)
our
the estimate on the hill is a population of 10,000 turkeys
wow, quite a trade! I wish SSI would do something about the deer population here, some are looking quite mangy
Good afternoon or morning or evening all
we are up to our armpits in deer
wow, crossy
((FM))
(((crossy)))
hi FM
Hi FM
Hello again flosey isn't it fun with the time zones. Hi hego
1;24 pm here:)
fun grid today butit took some working at.
5.25pm here but as I have been up since 5qm it feels so much later :(
long day
I know, body clock is so out of kilter.
back again, had to take a message for young chap next door
Hi flosey jsut been looking at the 'whos on line' there are 14 of us plumbed in - any lurkers want to come out and say hello?
*145 of us even
that sounds better.
yes FM, there are many players who don't chat at all
was going to say 14 is a bad showing
Hi FM. Wasn't really lurking. Have just come in from a day's gardening and feeling very tired!
guess they've never bothered so don't realize what they're missing?
:) I know flosey, I didn't chat for at least a month when I first stated babbling.
yes, there are many names i have seen in the lists that have never uttered a word as far as i know
I ache in places I didn't know I had.
Afternoon Sally :) re the aching bits
I did because of the friend who suggested that I try babble - Jillibus
I think everyone knows jilli - and great lady
oh so you can blame jilli then :)
It's so lovely to be able to be out though. I'm not the sort of gardener out there in the rain and bitter wind!
wonderful lady and I love her icons and stories behind them expecially when related to her family.
indeed, lol, incidentally, her computer is 'laid up' at the moment, she asked me to explain why she isn't in until it's up and running again - soon we're hoping
oh thanks for that flosey, hope she will be back here soon.
yes FM, she, and parents lived quite an interesting life
and even going back another generation too
she is also a very talented lady - writer, painter, and even carver
I started doing our family tree a few years ago but had to stop. Am now in a position to pick it up again and travel north to delve into parish records.
Hello for just a bit. Can't get up until cat gets off my lap, so I'm just Babbling until then! =)
jilli is a very talented lay, I love that carving she did of the Great Dane head so evocotive.
wonderful to have FM, my son is now tracing ours - took back to him what I had from both sides of our family
Hello Vi!!!
hello Vicuna
You're a good person, Vic, but you may be there a while. lol
lol, hego. Nah, she'll be off before too long. There's no pillow under her!
I have done a lot of my family tree, FM, it can be very addictive. Have had to put it aside just for now.
My mother does genealogy, so I get to reap all the fun facts without doing any of the work!
I managed to get bac to 1798 just from family docs but now the hard word starts.
and a s usual my typing is going to pot :(
my aunt did ours, going back, somewhat sketchily, to 1500s
wow flosey that is a good time line
i was able to trace back to the 1400,s seems our holding was sacked as it was at some important border or another lol
wow crossy, that's great
1400 even more wow
Some branches of ours go back forever. But my mother, who has a PhD in history, found a number of false links, especially from genealogists in the Victorian era when it was fashionable to hitch onto royalty and all...
other than 3 or exeptions,we were cutthroats and theives
ours were in US at the earliest we know - some came from England but there's some french in there somewhere
But we do have some legitimate royalty links, and once you hook onto them then the royal historians go back to the Dark Ages. (Of course, some of them were a little too eager, too...)
I come from a good stock of blacksmiths and farmers
Really crossy? You are very lucky to have found records going back that far. On my father's side I am back to 1686, but a cousin did some of the early stuff. On my mother's side I have got back to 1777, all verified.
More pride in that than the royalty, FM!
lol we have royal links as well,my grandas granda was boinking good queen vic when she was but 18 or 19 and he was a member of british plarliment;0
Hello everyone
Farmers on my father's side, printers and one publican on my mother's!
HAve a minature anvil that my great grandfather made as his aprentice piece.
Hello, Horses.
That's cool, FM.
it would be interesting to know what they all did, I don't have that information, must ask my cousin if her mom had documents
Hi Barb
Now that is really interesting FM. Real family history, not just dates.
Yes, it's always more fun to know the stories.
I sat down with my mum and ner mum and went through family photos and got so much info from that (Gran died so I was able to capture a lot of info).
I have a painting (watercolours) of the home that was given to my great grandmother as a wedding present from her mother - with the history that surrounds the painting
(Cat's gone, by the way, yet I'm still here...)
he was 54 at the time, quite shocking really.the well to do,s started calling victoria Mrs melbourne lol
Oh flosey how wonderful
No better than they ought to be, any of them.
That's lovely, flosey.
good for you FM, unfortunately, I wasn't interested early enough to talk to my grandmother about it - she would have been a wealth of information
brb...trying to download a picture for my profile.
I have a bible box my grandfather gave my grandmother! Dated in the 1700s, so not of their own time.
but I had always admired this painting as a kid, so my mother remembered that
I use it to keep candles in (not bibles).
nice bible indeed sally, should get book doctor gwen to rebind it for you
I am building up to going through the photos again as my mumis getting on and I want to capture more of the family stories and history as once she is gone ....
but lovely to have these old and cherished items Sally
That's really smart, FM.
No, crossy, a bible box, not a bible. They were used for keeping the large family bible in.
I'd been keeping notes of a lot of my father-in-laws family stories, and I've lost the folder I kept them all in! Aaargh!
oh,just the box;(
Oh I have a family bible - huge one with brass clasps, any one esle have one?
ah Vic, so sad to lose - perhaps they'll turn up again
FM, I asked my mother to write down who was on some of the family photos. Whem I went through her things I found an envelope marked Special Photos. Good old Mum, I thought. Then I looked a the first one. On the back she had written "Me"!
my mom lost one box of pictures, etc. that went astray during a move
I very much hope so, flosey. They've got to be SOMEWHERE in the house, surely.
oh sally (())
My grandmother's oldest sister inherited all the photos from that side of the family. She proceeded to say, "No one wants this old stuff" and threw them all away! *sob*
My bible box is a bit like this, crossy. Not a bad thing to have, I can assure you!: http://www.countryliving.com/cm/countr yliving/images/Sloped-bible-box-AWC010 6-de.jpg
Hells bells Vi how sad!
looking sally...
Oh terrible Vicuna
Oh, neat, Sally!
Yes, it's lovely.
ahh yes sally, ive seen these before, very nice indeed
On the other side of the family, my grandfather's cousin saved *everything*, to the extent that when she died her house was just one solid packed mass of dusty stuff. Could there not, perhaps, be some sort of balance? lol
Time for me to get on and do things which means I need to cook something and will be back in a bit :) Thanks for that great chat.
Farewell, FM!
Bon appetit FM
yeah i did it
bye FM
Yay, Barb's Horses! Now we can see you!

I went to the movies and had lunch out with a girlfriend! yay. Needed a break
Have to run for a bit...having lunch with my mom see you all later. Everyone have a great day/evening.
Yay for ruby. What film did you see?
Le Rafle, a French movie about the deportation of the Jews of Paris. Really well-made, sad and powerful.
It means police raid, but I don't know if it's been released in the US
Must have been very sad.
yes, extremely
We sometimes get French films, even here in the sticks of the UK :-)
2 hankies
I'm getting better at understanding them but when we first moved here, it was very hard for me
lol
I'm still trying to get the lo5's, the only one I have is for a couple of jerks

se 5/10 opposite of off in the end

When gender gets bended it's time to leave.
true of course, Kaplan, so I'll choose to believe you're every bit as male as I am.
ty. still got a long way to go.
You're right, I mean 4:0). My game hasn't switched to DST yet.

Hi Guernseygirl. I am just beginning but will help you look
Hi Mom and all - back for a little bit more
ty. i seem to have been stuck on them for hours.
Hi Lynxxx, thank you
Afternoon babblers. I've got 56 left. seems to be a good grid today, a little heavy on the i however...
Hi Red, good to see you
how is everyone doing?
I am just fine and you? Are you feeling better?
Hi Red, hi All
Hi Red
Hi Hego
I am feeling better. had a very busy day off today. Hi Hego.
I am glad you are feeling better
me too!
I bet!
good icon Hego!!!!
ty Red
I'm stuck on the ta6,7
clue @3.38
Lynxxx clued it earlier as ta + sweet smelling flower gard****
ty ty
there you are Lynxxx. :)
just hanging around waiting for my last 11 to leap out at me
only 11? Good for you!
I sure would like a R in this grid
halfway, guess I will go shake the cobwebs out of my head and come back for the rest later. {{Hugs}} to all of you.
bye Mom
bye bye Lynxxx, hope you get the last 11.

Byee
hey all! diving in to finish the last 70
hi Smooth
congrats Hego! Sorry I am a bit late to the party.
I want OLATE to be a word. it would have something to do with dairy.
evening everyone - I thought you wanted to ovulate red lol
there is an ol5.10 but not that
hi Katie
no no , I do that fine katie.
hi lynxxx, how you doing?
Good - just finishing up and waiting for husband and daughter to get out of house before i do my thing
oh to have the house to yourself that is lovely
How is work going Katie - are you in routine yet after all the change?
it's hard at the moment with the end of the financial year and I've got to recruit in to a vacancy that is coming up, but I had my review today and my boss is really please which added to the fact that I love it makes it all worth while
((((KATIE!!!)))) hello all!
Katie, are you finding that you are getting a lot of resumes with the job you are recruiting into?
(((((stid))))))
hi Stid
hi stiddy!
happy day stid
hey mcurl! your team did really last week! you must have been so proud.
and red! and lynxxx! and did I see hego down the line a ways?
well, no; out team didn't do so hot but the state champion team is from our district
it's very specific and the closing date is not until Friday so i'm not sure yet. we got hundreds last time but the market is picking up and few will meet the criteria. I'm hoping I end up with a couple to choose from
oh -- LOL I was looking at the wrong team? oh well, I still think just making it to state is pretty impressive.
*very glad I am neither applying for jobs nor hiring at the moment*
hi and good day
yes I think so as well. One of our girls will play at Western and another for the Cougs
anyone have a hint for the as8?
The economic report on the news says that consumer spending is up. I am indeed finding myself spending....as everything is on sale.
that's excellent! good fror them.
the one who is leaving is the one who didn't get my job so whilst it will be a pain in the short term it will be best for both of us in the long run. He is changing careers and got a good job so all is well that ends well
now with my sports all over for the year, I can concentrate on the new grandbaby coming in Sept
i find interviewing very stressful at the moment as everyone is so desperate and it means so much to people
oooh! another person to make room for at the holidays! *big happy mama grin* good for you, and your children.
that is tough. I tend not to be on the hiring end. though on occasion we do peer interviews
it's this daughter's first and will make one for each of my three!
yes, the pain of knowing how much people NEED jobs and the reality that we can't find jobs for everyone who applies.
very exciting mcurl!
how exciting mcrulschool
is she one of the local kids so you can help her out a little?
yes, they live in Federal Way
as 8: having the quality of fire residue
good. that makes it so much easier. I was glad my mother was local when my first was born.
hello everyone :)
ty nan
hi nan tyx
thanks nan *thinking*
got it! :-D
first time I have used that ending except for as a word, I really must be missing something
half way, off for a break, see you all later
I am down to 96...
later Katie! (((hugs)))
fireworks! yeah! that was a long one. :)
YAY smooth!!!
congrats, sp
and Hi everyone who came in after I dove into the grid. :)
how's today, smooth?
fine... got a tetnaus booster toda, and i can feel my shoulder starting to get a little sore... but otherwise ok.
46 to go -- guess it is list time for me
well, go pretend you're four years old and be a windmill so the toxin doesn't stay in one place, smooth! keep it moving and it will hurt less tomorrow.
I am not a fan of tetanus boosters, myself.
eah, that's what the told me to do.... so I am flapping around wildly. lol
BUT I would be less a fan of actual lockjaw!
HA! exactly ;)
:-D LOL *picture of smooth being an albatross*
actually, I have a sink full of dishes that need attention, does the washing motion count was waving arms? lol
I think it does... if you aren't wimpy. *looks at smooth* scrub like you mean it!!!!
*ignoring own sink of dishes*
the stupid thing that I did was to have them give me the booster, and draw blood from the same arm...
??? why is that stupid?
et 6, please?
because the spot where they drew blood from bruised a little, and waving my tetnaus around makes the blood-draw site feel a little of. lol actually, I think i's just the bandaid pulling at my skin... maybe I should just take it off.
don't have that yet nan *sits and waits for the clue*
piece of choc. cake while you're waiting, stid?
if it was more than a couple hours ago, you probably don't need the bandaid. Unless it's star wars or scooby doo, then you need it.
thanks nan! don't mind if I do!
lol -- unkind cut, stid
Hi babble pals!
ET6: Greek letter + *** Chaney (the older actor)
hey beach!
thanks smooth!

thanks for that nan!
Yes I managed to put one up of me on one of our horses
thanks nan
pretty -- quarter horse?
funny angle.
Yes he is a Pinto 1/4 horse cross with something else too we think
can i offer any clues before I go to start dinner and dishes?
has a lovely face. *goes mushy over horses*
back before my fall when I was trying to learn how to stay on bare back..
I haven't been on a horse in more than 20 years.
I used to love bareback. much more comfortable than saddles, I thought.
my boys love treats, hugs and all the attention you can give...even iced tea and cranberry/raspberry pop
not to clue stage yet smooth, but thanks.
ok, well, I'll try to stop in later and see if I can be of any help.
*poof*
sa 7?
well if I had of had a saddle I wouldn't have fallen...was on my son's horse practicing when a deer spooked him...it was a nasty fall
thanks smooth *waves good-bye (with the owie arm)*
why is your arm owie?
I am sorry, Barb -- I have fallen, but luckily onto soft pastures and never hurt.
sympathetic owies for smooth's tetanus shot today.
have to keep checking on my son in the tub...took a nasty fall at school hurt his leg have him soaking in a hot bath
back for a few more words:)
hi cross
CROSS!!! *tosses bacon in PB*
poor kiddo -- how old? my younger son is not falling much at the moment, but when he was growing fast a couple years ago broke his arm twice in 9 months.
cwossy has the flu..no bacon for poor cwossy...(last temp=101.7) :(
please? -- sa 7?
oh oh cross *sprays antiseptic in air* *grabs kleenex box, humidifier, blankies, teddy bears, TV remote and extra pillows* *fuss fuss*
my fall was out in the pasture but the ground was hard from the summer heat. July 2 2006...don't think I will ever forget that day...was black and blue from my ribs down to my right knee...even had a third but cheek which still have a small lump there
and if you PROMISE to not refer to yourself as "cwossy" will bring you a hot lemonade
aww i got me a mama now!:))))
rofl... where is mrs cross? safely ensconced in the penthouse suite at the fanciest hotel until you feel better?
Jess is 11 and a very large boy indeed. Broke his wrist once from a fall...and we didn't know it was broke till the following day
she is sick too,i just gave her some ice water and some lipton chicken soup
look after yourself cross
nothing like chicken soup
and her too....sends a warm blanket too
oh, I hope he feels better soon then. Our older son doesn't feel pain as quickly as other kids, so when he hurts, I worry extra. He's almost out on his own now... they grow up so fast!
poor mrs. cross *offers favorite pink blankie and brand new fuzzy slippers I got two days ago*
i have her wrapped up in a jumbo fuzzy couch bankie, and her housecoat
woo love fuzzy slippers
it's rotten when everyone feels sick at the same time.
very nice of you to share those
she says ty as she slurps her soup
well.... I am feeling as if I "ought" to pick up a few of the books and papers from this quarter today. My goal is to have the table/shelf under the living room window clear before Tom gets home.
sa 7= sa + 2-letter form of hello + wa4/8 (minus last vowel)
(((hugs cross and mrs cross)))
hello jimmel! thanks!
she is all set,all wrapped up,soup for the boday, tylenol for the fever and 5 episode of ceasar romero back to back
yw...saw you hanging in for that one
ty stiddles
Hey all. HAs anyone noted that the last few grids have been especially chummy and nice?
hey stid I guess there is no way to find out who paid for me is there? I would so love to thank them
ty jimmel -- what kind of language is that?!
hi red
Barb, you can email Dr God, he might or might not tell you.
ummm...Babble-ese
I don't know how Barb, a lot of people put a thanks to the anonymous person in their profiles.
hey red
oh you got a babble gift barb? horray for barb and the persons unknown who donated
this is a nice grid. challenging, but not awful. a bit big, though.
that is a good idea thanks I am going to do that stid.
both myself and my husband couldn't believe a stranger would do that. So very kind indeed.
it happens quite often here barb.babblers are a nicer people
there are about 10 that i can remember, but im sure there are many more
Lots of people have been given gifts of Babble!
There it is in my profile bio. Hope that works.
I am glad I finally paid up. I played for the longest time as a gray head and then really realized that I did have the 15.00 or what not....and the icons are sooooo much fun!!!!
down to 60. taking a break, making tea, clearing the counter/table *determined mama look* folding clothes, putting books away and then coming back to play for a while. (((Hugs all)))
and the profiles;0..dont forget to grab my chicken recipie before i move onto the next one
that is well stated, Barb.
i have so enjoyed the conversations. Even forget to play now and then...ooo should I say that
I will do that cross...didn't even realize it was there
LOL I was going to make fun of you for NOT putting bacon in, but you DO have SMOKED HAM!!! roflmao
lol, finishing becomes seconday after a bit
I'm very proud that I am down to 47 without the list, but am starting to think about the list. I can not believe it is 6 pm already the daylight savings has messed me up!
(((hugs cross extra hard))) you're great. I'll be back later. *stern mama look at flu bugs* FEEL BETTER.
*poof*
ohh,that hug tingled;))
have to go fix my son up and get his homework going...MEAN ole mom that I am. back in a bit.

sorry -- a GREETING
need to make a quick omelet... brb
it tells me you are MUCH better at this than I am to get a false clue from me!
nice flowers bugs!
any wi you want dorens, is good with me.
ok it is too close to the new NCIS episode, I am getting the list
I like NCIS too red but it is only going to be 5:00 here
you are far far from me....
on the west coast red
yup.
and in getting the list I am already seeing a varieyt of plurals i missed, this always makes me a bit cross...
I use the list every night for that
i feel a bit better, since I got down to 39 before hitting it today...lately I am doing well....or the grids are easier.
probably a bit of both red.
i cannot imagine 3 words that start with X
the warrior princess on tv bugsaw
They all build off the first. A town in Ohio
just monkey it a tad
sort of like a flower that starts with a Z...
then pl it,then adj it
got them all once I got the first one crossy. Thanks
np;)
mmm- spinach, red onion & goat cheese omelet, my favorite meal when nothing in the house for dinner and no time to cook
Fire Works
YAY wht
yay wht!
i want one.
ty ty. I kept getting words just as I was ready to ask for clues.
sure thing red... you are providing the pinot grigio?
Dorens, you will have to drink that in the PB
again....
i finally found that la word...
I can supply some Wi** but all I have in the house is a 3.00 red that I bought to make red Wi** biscuits.
LOL! i keep going to the PB for the same thing, just different versions
Dorens has found all the wi4 in the grid
s"okay, i have some pouilly-fuissé in the fridge
never heard of red wi** bisquits. They sound interesting
hi all, a few minutes to search while daughter in the bath...hoping something will hit me
hi jessas
they are really tasty but not sold much outside apparently of Rhode Island.
well jess, be careful of what you ask for.. if certain folks were here, something might hit you, but not what you would want
lol
i've heard of them but haven't tasted them,, sure i would like them though.. anything with wi**, particularly red wi** (but it doesn't go with omelets)
still got 80 to go...was surprised I found that many at 1:00am last night (this morning?)
best with coffee...
Certainly an easier grid than yesterday's
i like coffee! sometimes more than wi**
yup - this is zipping along very quickly
I like coffee more than wi**, since I cant remember the last time I had Wi**
I am going to look for a recipe for those
coffee in the morning. Wine in the evening. Life is good.
Ooops. Dorens, pass that bottle over here as I join you in the PB.
coffee at 5:00 though.. and wht to the pb, keeping me company
I found one on line, and have not tried it yet, I rather wi** I could jsut buy them.
i had a fourth grade girl in my office today because she wh***s too much, and her friends told her to stop acting like a baby, so she did it more. she has a temper problem, too. it's funny though, cause i can't remember when i said the word wh*** as much as i did today
pouilly fuissé is almost gone... chablis ne**?
4th grade can be a difficult time...
Do you have, perhaps a shiraz?
and my office is right around the corner from the fourth graders... three times a week i have to deal with the girls' issues after lunch. but i can't complain... if Christie cuts the budget enough, I won't have a job next year
shiraz? not with a goat cheese omelet!
You are right. Chablis it is.
it makes it hard to keep doing your job the best you can every day when you don't know if you will ever get to do it again, doesn't it Dorens
I forgot the entree
yup.. i've had a pretty stressful week at work.. then no electricity from saturday till today. and ken in fl so he can't distract me with dazzling dinners and wine, as he usually does
i like chablis better than chardonnay
thats awful dorens! and feel good that at least ken is not very warm
may i please have a clue for the last st 6/18 .. so i can go and situate myself in my bedroom and be ready to wake up and leave my house at 6 :45 AM!!! cause we are selling green bagels for breakfast as a fund raiser
So did you get flooded Dorens?
I would like to buy one Dorens....but you get no sympathy from me, I leave thehouse each day at 5 am...
he's in sanibel, red... says it's just lovely there. no, not flooded wht.. i live on top of a hill... but lots of trees around and they took out a lot of electric lines
when you said green bagels, I immediately thot they were mouldy!
It is like the one before it but with a different vowel
well, I am trying to make you feel better, we have nt hit the 80's yet.
no elec is really frustrating
red... i usually leave at 8... i go to sleep late, and with the time change and all, i barely woke up this morning by 7:15... now i have to be in school at that time tomorrow... i need much luck, a lot of that wi** and maybe some pills as well
I live on a hill as well, Dorens. Helps when you get 7 inches of rain on a weekend.
unless your house starts slipping wht
indeed wht. and since Ken and I don't live together, I just moved into his palace and lived like a queen
the time change has been harder on me than usual...it is a killer!!!
thanks for that clue wht... i had thought of that word but guess i never actually tried it
good thing you don't live in California after all the fires take out trees that hold the houses on
clue for the first ou7 please?
i am now done. going to clean up the kitchen (looks like a whirlwind hit it) and try to get to bed by 9!! see you tomorrow
Our house isn't slipping anywhere. They had to blast a hole in the granite for the basement.
nite Dorens.
Night Dorens
I don't have it yet red
wht you are lucky, we have a few home here that keep falling prey to sink holes...
What the ***lier did
not helping me yet wht
all the ou words have the same root.
thanks wht...helped me a lot.
The first ou7 is a compound word.
now I have it!!!
So it was a little cryptic.
P's pummled.
evening all
hi pini
(I think my chog is still trying to catch up to all I've missed.)
Hi pini
hi all ;)
glad to be all caught up now...
oh, gosh...did I kill the chog?
no. HI PINI !! good to see you again
i went for a glass of wine after all this talk
Does anyone need any clues before I call it a night?

No the la 6 and 7 do not build off the word before.

You know, a conductor told me yesterday that we should wear all black for an event I'm playing at. Then, he joked, "unless you'd rather wear your red sequins!" To which I replied, "Sorry, my red sequin dress got ripped in a skiing accident!" But, somehow, I don't think he believed me!

Love your "Irish Setter", MP!
Wonder what your vodka tastes like, jilli...
ty jilli...here's the vodka bottles sitehttp://elitechoice.org/category/vo dka/page/2/
jellen, probably like any other vodka!
Probably so...
jilli and jellen...but it's filtered through diamonds...and like Marilyn Monroe said "a girls best friends!"
It just goes to show ya...some people will buy anything!
Isn't that the truth!
maybe those plutocrat bankers with their bonuses
obscene bonuses, I should say
I've been pricing costume jewelry for our store...funny what a brand name does to perceived value, too...
did anyone else post vodka bottles?
oh yes, jellen!
I'm excited...we bought our first showcase for our store...an antique wood and glass number...
We're going to another auction on the 20th, hope to land a couple more...
sounds really lovely, jellen!
It's funny what excites me these days, lol
new enterprises tend to do that
how was this grid? a quick look seems ok
We spent the evening working on a business card design...
We raced through this one with few difficulties, jilli
absolutely jilli...that's the type that would do something like that...I would like to read that new book by Michael Lewis about the beginning of our economic downfall in 2005 thru 2007 and what really went on.
jellen...i collect costume jewelry and I have a very large collection of Sarah Coventry...I wanted to write a book on SC jewelry but have not done so yet.
I love the old signed pieces...Trifari, Coro, etc.
I have just one piece of Sarah Coventry so far, MP...
I would definitely be interested in your book, too!
I have a couple of books on collectible jewelry, but little practical experience so far...
My collection is almost obscene...mostly parures....love the gaudy pieces...lots of glitz and glamour...
What are parures?
nm, just looked it up...
Jellen, that is such a beautiful icon!
I picked up some nice pieces at an auction last weekend, mainly brooches...
hello all. I am here to try to find 60 words in 16 minutes. *splash*
Thanks, stid!
That is when you have all the multiple pieces of a set i.e. the matching necklace, bracelet, broache, earrings, ring, etc. if you only have the necklace and earrings they call that a demi-parure
LA 5 after the most recent please?
NVM, it's rubber!
I love the rhinestone brooches...I recently wore a necklace on a cruise that I pinned 5 rhinestone pins to and long rhinestone earrings....it was fun
how about the LA 6/7 combo instead?
parures would make a good icon theme -- would one of you please email it to sprite?
