And again, Jilli.
Hello Jill, hello JC.
Why hello Laura - fancy seeing you here?
Hello, Fauxmage -- I'd forgotten your Babble name! Welcome back!
:P JC!Thank you Jill!
Exactly half-way.
wtg JC!
I'm off - Happy Easter to you all.
Good morning/evening all.
Happy Easter to you too JC. :o)
Greetings Haz and all.
Hello FM! Got all your shopping done?
yes and table is laid, just working out the timings for cooking.
How about you?
Yes, table laid, just doing some babble before the rest of the work begins.
back in a sec, left my tea downstairs.
Which pudding did you decide to go for in the end?
hello and happy Easter to all
Hello ursh.
PHone..
Have a choice of two - hot choc sponge with melty middle or sticky toffee pud.
Morning ursh.
And back. Two puds? You're spoiling them!
yes that is the whole point :)
What are you cooking today?
We're having cream of celery soup with wheaten bread, roast leg of lamb with baby boiled potatoes, potato croquettes, cabbage, broccoli and carrot, pudding is ginger flavoured pavlova with pineapple and kiwi fruit.
oh yummy yum!
Neither of us need complain about being hungry this afternoon, I think. Keeping awake afterwards will be the killer....
Im just keeping my fingers crossed as am still getting to grips with the new oven but I am sure all will be well.
I'm sure it will be fine. Is the oven gas/electric?
gas, which I am used to suing but it doesn't cook quite the same as the one I had before.
I cooked with gas many moons ago in Edinburgh, but it's been electric all the way ever since - mostly because we don't have mains gas here and using cylinders is a bit of a nuisance.
I much prefer cooking with gas. HAve also treated Mum and R by booking a taxi to pick them up and take them back.
That's a good idea - it saves any worry on either side about them getting to you safely.
Yes and considering they haven't been here before it would have been a nightmare, that and the fact that Mum drives at about 25 miles an hour on a good day *sigh*
At least she's still able to drive, that always leaves a bit of independence. Until the time comes when it's a balancing act between independence and safety.
BUt we'll not meet trouble halfway.
Am just glad to be able to cheer Mum up a bit with a few treats as a very dear friend of hers has cancer and is talking about refusing any more treatment as it is making her feel so very ill.
Poor friend and your poor mum - not the sort of thing you necessarily know what advice to give for the best, is it?
indeed.
Anyway, is the sun shining today in NI?
Yes, it is! We had a very frosty night but there are clear skies and sunshine.
Frost! gosh glad to say haven't seen that for a week or two now (famous last words)! It is trying its best here but have had some rain earlier but the forecast is good.
It's quite a contrast to earlier in the week. Remember the storms? We got off lightly in the town but at one stage over 100,000 homes were without electricity. There's an area outside town where there are four miles of toppled electricity lines.
Goodness what a mess.
So I guess that means there are still houses w/o power?
Some people were without electricity from Tuesday until Saturday so it's been pretty bad. Unprecedented damage to the network, apparently. We discovered that our upstairs phone had been fried, presumably because of a power surge.
Happy easter
And to you, Animad.
Do you serve a fried phone with chips?
Hi Animad
It depends if you're vegetarian or not....
lol
I need to get on and tidy bedroom and run through my list so must be off for a while. If I don't see you again today Haz have a lovely day.
Thanks, FM, you too!
any clues for the fj?
nm! got it
Thanks for pointing it out.
hmmmm have 50 leftand no 8's at all
I am quite new to babble but my grandma loves it, we used to play on puzzles together
but then I got my own account
What is your grandma's babble name, Animad?
I have forgotten
I am a bit silly some times
Not to worry.
phew
hmf -- "jeune" is not allowed, but a French lunch is >-[
It's quite a nice grid today, I hope you enjoy it.
hi all (been buried in the grid, doing dishes, etc
Hello, jillibus.
yes, It hail stoned yesterday though at 8. we did the easter egg trail at brimham rocks yesterday, I loved it
I know, the weather at Easter time can be very unpredictable, but it's good you got out for a while.
yes I am degsining an easter egg
We had a violent wind and rainstorm on Friday here -- 100km/hr winds -- crazy weather! All calm now.
I didn't lose power although it flickered a couple of times
Oters did, though
*others (typo time and time for bed!)
poor little otters
they can't spell, poor wee beasties
We had unprecedented damage to the electricity network because of an ice storm. Huge amounts of drifting snow - most unseasonable weather.
what is this world coming to
i have dyslexya
I see ;)
I don't think anybody working in the printing industry can spell any more. A huge banner in a shop proclaiming that something was EQUIVILANT. Two mistakes in one word...
we went camping in the summer holiday and there was a thunderstorm and it woke us all up
spelling and grammar and pronunciation have gone to pot
haz - i am always amazed that they dont check first even banners on TV are often spellt badly
Absolutely. My local paper's ads were offering curtain alternations and quotes for loft conversations.
so much in the printing industry is computer related - surely easy to spellcheck//
oh, hilarious!
But spellcheck can be a trap
there's a bit of doggerel about it that was circulated a while ago
Spellcheck can't check for context, that's the problem. And I know that English is not the easiest language for pronounciation/writing but there are dictionaries.
I really must wish you all a happy Easter and head for bed -- 1:24 am here -- goodnight all!
Goodnight jillibus. Sleep well.
Good morning, and Easter greetings to one and all Haz its nice to see you too, after all the horrendous weather you have suffered!
Hello, Flask. It's been dreadful for so many, we count ourselves very fortunate that our electricity stayed on. Farmers have lost lots of lambs as well.
PHone...
I know its been dreadful......ok
And back.
How about you, Flask, how did you cope with the storm?
Seeing it on the telly, made me think of you!
we didn't get it at all....but all the wee towns roundabot us did........
our wee town seems to sit in a valley....
I know - the town lies in a bit of a hollow, so I think that was what saved us from being cut off. Apparently the destruction in the countryside is quite something. There's a stretch of road where all the poles are down for four miles.
roads all around us were closed. power was out too...
You don't realise how much you depend on electricity until it goes off.
my goodness....and it all started on the first day of summer too!!
I know. It was so unexpected after we had been having quite nice spring days.
Exactly!!......I think its the one comodity that we all take for granted!!
Ive never seen crocuses disappear so fast in my life!!!
bye
Such a shame, you really need a bit of colour at this time of year.
Bye Animad.
Bye Animad
Well we are all ready for a splash of colour, after the dark winter nights!
Definitely, it's great to have a bit more light in the evenings.
Is the grid friendly or what?
Oh am loving the lighter nights!
I think it's pretty friendly, Flask, lots of normal words.
oh good!
It's a decent length as well.
yep.....I think 200 is a nice size!
so whats for lunch today then Haz??
Lunch is cream of celery soup, roast lamb with baby boiled potatoes, cabbage, broccoli and carrot, ginger pavlova with pineapple and kiwi fruit.
'hello
Hello, herin.
Mmmm...what a lovely menu.....and is this for just you and Mr "Haz" or the whole family?
Happy Easter everyeone. Hi Haz and Flask
Hiya Herin....
and to you too Herin..
The whole family - both daughters are home plus my sister and husband's sister, so 6 in total.
Ginger pavlova.....now thats different...
How's your grandson doing, Flask?
Ginger pavlova is an experiment! I often do a cinammon pavlova so I thought I'd go a bit more tropical with the pineapple etc.
oh he's coming on in leaps and bounds......he was weighed the other day and he's now 12lb 14oz
That's brilliant!
HOw old Flask?
I so want to change the picture of him, to show you all how well he really is......but it doesn't matter what I do....it won't let me
He'll be ready for spuds soon, except they don't believe in feeding solids until they're about 4 years old.... (okay, a bit of an exaggeration)
He will be 5months on the 11th Herin....
ruby has the same problem with her icons, she just can't get themto cooperate.
awww. I have a feeling my friends newborn will be weighing that when he/she is born
Och I know....its all so stupid nowadays.....never did us any harm!!
I know. There's a generation of harassed mothers and a generation of tutting in disapproval grandmothers and a tyranny of rule makers.
yes there is definitely a fault somewhere!
Have a lovely day. I have to dry to get something working in my game
Well, I couldn't have put it better myself, and I know where I slot in just nicely!...lolol
Anyway, I've seen the time and I'd better skedaddle otherwise we'll be eating raw lamb! Good to talk to you, Flask and herin, and enjoy the grid and the rest of the day.
Bye for now!
*gone*
Same here Haz..take care!

Happy Easter, Babblers
HAppy Easter everyone - i am recovering today and being taken out to lunch. We walked 16.5 miles yesterday - the whole length of the Taunton to Bridgwater Canal and a little bit more
that sounds like a great walk. was the weather good?
No - its was not good especially for the last 2 miles when it was like walking under a hose pipe and we got so cold that we could stop shivering
you were very brave. i hope you have lots of chocolate today as a reward!
no but i am looking forward to a nice roast lunch
great. i'm going out for lunch tomorrow and am hoping for the same.

happy bunny day, all
well it is grass it will grow back
NB, I am glad that you consider Babblers your friends + parents. We are here for you.
I am looking at my real bunny.
I would love a clue for the lower T... for nbt and so I can go look for jelly beans
mm..bunnies for easter...
HI JB
Use the te**phone to make calls.
Crossie yuo better be talking about the choc variety
but of course
why thank you, Scrabbs :) Since I managed to, er, misplace my own parents, I couldn't have asked for better substitues :)
hooray scrabs
ok, i'm off to look for jelly beans (in all the wrong places) ;-)
ta
You can choose your friends and create your own family. And some parents are incapable of being parents. I see that daily in my office.
rolls eyes at Crossei
Scrabbler that is true
lol nb,your about the same age as my boy.i would adopt you if you lived here;)
If I lived in England, I would HAPPILY adopt such a fine young man as you, nancy (and I chose the word "young" on purpose, because I am just that clever!)
Crossy, I have dibs!
How old are you, NB?
and then you could go to anime conventions with Primo, and have a really, really swell time!
Is Primo starting to look at colleges?
Trifs did you get those pics for me
Trifs did you get those pics for me /
there is one on my profile, dear one
it's pretty much the only one I have, at this point. Camera issues....
oh nad pb for you trif
NOice
you said yo 5/20:P
Can I have you as a mum that sews please
19 Scrabbs, so sadly past adoption age now!! Leo has adopted me. I get to sleep in his flat, braid his hair and use up all of his hot water ;)
Happy Easter all
happy easter bob
in the us there is no age limit on adoption.
happy easter, bob
Hi Mr Bob
I'd hog your bathroom in the morning Trif ;)
awwww Nancy you are too cute.
And when is your birthday, NB. My middle nephew just turned 20.
hog away - we have 3
crossy gets a stick and pokes triff back into the pb...i have chocolate easter eggs in there today
what did I say NOW?
I did not have breakfast yet--maybe I will make French toast.
Trifs it is ok
11th July, Scrabbs, so getting close(ish) now! Then I'll leave my teenage years behind and...be an ADULT!
mmm remin ds me i have a few rashers of porkine joy in da fridge
lol nm,i never became an adult nb..im still 19..in my head, the body is about 95:)
ugh, it's almost time to get up and get ready....LOVE my lie in....
Nancy I am err I think 32 this year and I did an Easter Egg hunt this morning
adult smodult
i actually froze my birthdays and aging at 25
Evanonut lives in Butler, PA. If the Butler defeats the Duke, will they blow Butler off the map.
So, NB you were born in 1990 just like my Jason!
Guten Morgen Inge!
I lie about my age, and tell everyone I am three plus one years older than I really am. THEN I listen to them gush about how amazing I look for my age.
works every time!
LOL Crossy!
I turned 50 6 mo ago.
you reach a point where you stop trying to hide your age and you start bragging about it instead
"Just because you grow older does not mean that you have to grow up."
lol .. i was dealing with a smarmy check out clerk, a girl with a huge attitude, but she cracked me up the other day ...
I love the word S'marmy."
well thank goodness for that, Scrabbs ;) I don't intend to!
or ,you go into the doctors office, take one look at the person in the white coat and say'excuse me junior,is your dad going to be here soon?" lol
what'd she do, Welki?
when we were done with all the crap, she looked at me with her big baby blues and asked if i'd like the senior discount LMAO
smarmy is funny! I also enjoy "snark"
Sorry I intruded. Going back to my corner now
oh, my welki!!!
Oh, dear, welki!
morning inge have a easter egg!
oh, hi Inge! happy easter :)
why inge? stay here
you just knew she'd heard about someone else doing this to a customer ... nothing prepared her for me :)
it has bacon in it....
Does she have bruises around her neck now, welki?
LOL, Crossy - I constantly get that in my line of work. I'm a shorty and constantly get "are you old enough to serve...?"
i would of told her to go right ahead and lay that discount on me
Inge, Nutty + I will meet up in June when I vacation near Butler, PA, at Cook Forest.
no, but she probably went home and asked her mommy what i meant when i said, "dear, i may be old, but i can do things to make getting older fun ... you, on the other hand, will always be an idiot."
im starting to get too much grey in my beard now.its a case of shave it all off or go gracefully
Raising arizona is on....I had completely forgotten how hilarious this movie is....
(and that was borrowed indirectly from one of my kids .. in response to someone telling her she was fat)
there's always grecian formula, crossy....
lol we have that movie trif
Great, Welki!
lol,do they sell it in the 2 gallon pail trif?
I am at "over the butt and up over the groin area."
good morning
I dyed my hair for year or so starting at 38, then I decided to gracefully go grey. I have salt + pepper hair that commands respect!
okay - I cannot budge that infernal e in the right column. help please?
i am going to go with that also scrabbs,it shows we have experience and are still young enough to use it;)))
I want to see Nuty
Scrabs, tell her hello from me. I cannot read the chat very well any more. My husband grew up in New Castle, so we sort of kow Butler.\]
mine, too, scrabs .. and i have this bonnie raitt thing going on in the front that i really like
er4 = love
e- means love or something that turns you on
INge you can incress teh size
all mine to you, scrabbler, thank you!
er5 = adj for worn off
then for e/5- add a vowel to the end
ahh,got 2 off of that ty cluers
HI Lide
Hi lid
3...wheeee!
then take the first 3 letters of the language that you speak and add a crooked letter to the end
I'm not sure if I'll be able to go grey gracefully...but then it's the tattoos and piercings I should really worry about ;)
morning/afternoon and Happy Easter everyone
100/100 Wowee!
Alright, I ne4 breakfast! BBL.
then en 5 and 6= to begin something and pl
oh, tattoos do not age well, nancy, I must be honest
why? i don't worry about mine
*looks* hmmm .. looks okay to me
My cat just had an attack fail
what do you have and where, Welki? :)
too strenyous to follow the chog. Bye for now
I'll clothespin the skin back when it begins to sag, Trif ;) all planned otu!
i have an amazon parrot on a vine on my arm ... that's all you need to know
I think vitamin E oil is the key to keeping them, NB....
where is the little butterfly or teddy bear? every woman ends up getting one..lol
okay, gotta get up and ready for services. I get to sing the Hallelujah Chorus this morning (alto) which is always so great.
I was going to take a picture of mine but it goes down too low, and there's no camera angle I could use to stop myself getting some complaints ;)
not this one, crossy .. hardly the girly girl, would rather have a salmon swimming upstream *LOL*
lol
oh, MY welki!!!
what?
bite me I want a love heart on my wrist that is stitched up with my b.fs first name letter and it is too also mean that he mended my broken heart when my friend died that also had the same first name intital
"salmon swimming upsteam" does rather create a visual!
best one i ever saw was an exotic dancer had a tattoo of a python that started with the tail at her right ankle and it wound up her leg, aroun her thigh, went around her waist once and the head pointed down just under her belly button...was amazing;0
oh, you and your Father/Son outings, crossy!
*shrugs* i kind of like the idea :)
ahh the joys. Ok. first custody-type exchange. That hurt a little more than I expected!
uh oh
oh, I feel your pain, KC.....
the guy who did my tattoo was a friend of mine and he had some amazing body art. I had to have a friend do it or I'd have been too embarrassed!
lol trif
but I swear, eventually it does just sort of become what you do. I promise
aw kc
Man I hope so, cause this kinda sucks. Uhg. But hey, I found like six words since sitting back down!
Hugs KC first time holiday has got to suck alot
i personally try to avoid tatts, the police around here already have too many ways to i.d me lol
it does suck. It does. It absolutely does. But I am learning that I am the model and the example. if I act with courtesy and civility, no matter how unwarranted, the children see that, take their cues as to how to act, and will long remember it
it's first time everything. He's really only been out of the house for two weeks. Feels like a year, but
I got told by teacher not to get any form of visable tattoos due to the industry I want to work in. I told her that was wrong as there is plenty of cover up makeup these days
and never, ever end up with the children being pawns.ive seen it and it is horrible
LOL Tri... my girl friends and I all say the same thing... we're being good models and they get to act like jerks... kinda seems unfair! Oh totally Cross, working VERY hard on that
oh, thanks for remnding me herin....primo has a hickey I have to cover before we leave for church, GOD help us all!
easy trap to slip into
lol@ hickeys
Trifs Forgive me for saying this in public but haemorrhoid cream works well.
LOL @ hickey's. I really want to get a tat of a phoenix rising from the ashes. Just have to find the right artist and figure out where to put it!
And tell him not to be a tramp next time
but time wounds all heels, KC....
I know, right? GROSS!
okay, really gotta motor to get to church on time. Love you all, and have a blessed, blessed Easter
Blesses Trifs
i had a gf like that long ago..good grief she left marks that lasted for weeks..used to call her my little lamprey eel
lol Crossy.
I got one for you and I raise that Crossie. I knew my ex was cheating on me so I left a bite mark on his butt. Serve him right
got so bad id go out and buy a box of cherry popcicles and every time she came at me id hold one up for her..was like a cross and a vampire sort of thing
ouch
my wife did her ex in with a frying pan lol,so i never let her cook
ahhhh, romance. I used to wear scarves a lot.
lol,she swung that pan like she was going for a home run at wrigley field lol
I threw a plate at him food included. Thought about stabbing him with a fork too. SOB.
the guy was never the same after that
lol
ohh, your nasty herin, wanna come to my next house party?
how dramatic, Herin! I limit myself to throwing drinks
type of party where i dont just take the car keys,i pay the kid next door to bury them somewhere
He started it. Now the most excitment in our house is an Easter egg hunt or a grumble over being woken up
only have 2 bedrooms though,so i limit it to 40 people;)
LOL Crossy! I solve the problem by not having a car ;) figured I'd remove ALL temptation
lol sounds boring now herin
need one here herin, when distances are so vast it takes 22 minutes to get to the closest grocer
*whispers* I'm not Herin ;)
Good morning all, Happy Easter!
nb i mean
Happy Easter!
That is the level of argument in this house that is how well we work
Happy Easter Jessas
We've got sunshine and leaves just peaking from the trees...Easter miracles for upstate NY this early in April.
Did you all find your Easter eggs and baskets?
I did
thats one thing ,whenever any of my relatives come over from U.K and visit i take them on this scenic road i know that winds through the hills.you can drive for 3 solid hours and not see a single soul. it blows their minds:)
that'd freak me out, Crossy! I need lots of people around or I start twitching
did you get lovely biscuits in your basket, herin?
im a country boy nb
Nancy you sound like my B>f we are talking about moving to the city if our rent goes up any more
no biscuits just eggs and I had to find them
crossy hates cities.you could be dying on the sidewalk and people would just step over you
easy nbt today
no they wouldn't, they'd get angry at you for dying when they're trying to get by ;)
not to mention smog, flying bullets, drug dealers etc
lol nb
my goal is to get a place on the mountain so the loudest thing i hear in the morning is the birds falling out of the trees cause they are having sex lol
lol
if you make it on a lake, crossy, i'm in
although, living in the city does make it extra-special when people DO stop and ask if you need help. that's how I met Leo!
LOL Crossy, how wonderfully graphic
I'm back. I made farina and tossed in blueberries--yummy breakfast.
lol,sorry nb,wife always did say i am a subtle as a brick
Very healthy Scrabbs!
LOL, don't apologise Crossy, I was up late last night chatting to JC...now HE isn't subtle!
I change my breakfast preferences every few months, and stay with the same thing for that time. I have been into farina ("Cream of Wheat") for a month now.
i did my secret french toast recepie and the butter is sizzling in da pan;))
cream of wheat?? ugh..thought that was what the horses ate;((
It has a wonderful texture, then add fruit.
err.. no thank you
fruit for me in the mornings! If I'm up in time to -see- the morning
Scrabbler I saw this really cute bunny video today nomming on a huge watermellon
though i am limiting myself to one camp style brekkies per week, rest of the time is a small bowl of bran cerial,a boiled egg,one slice of wheat toast, half a banana and a glass of skim milk
I just LOVE bunnies!
Good for you, Cross.
what do you do with the other half of the banana?
BUNNIES! CROSSY LOVES BUNNIES TOO;)
i save it for next day or wife slices it up on her cerial
Never for eating, Crossy!
I love bunnies, since this bunny suit is keeping me VERY warm and toasty!
you have go to get your web cam going nb and show us this bunny suit
I was just admiring my cute downstairs bunny, Miss Bea, but now she ran off somewhere.
LOL Crossy, I think this is just for Leo's eyes ;)
lol, free range rabbits,id be sitting in my chair twitching like a old hound dog lol
ahh that type of bunny sit lol
suit
ahh kettle is boiled, who wants a cuppa?
oh no, it's just that I genuinely look like a five-year-old in it ;) and I'm already too much the kid around here!
I'll have to invite the babblers to the coming of age day ;) not in korea but that doesn't mean I don't get to celebrate it...right?
Scrabbler: http://tinyurl.com/ylm92b5 and you can see the cute bunny there
each day is a celebration, regardless of location
well it's pretty unusual to have the celebration with just one person coming of age!
well common over nb,and we shall set up a party ill order a keg of beer, get some of my famouse bacon vodka and a buffet going
invite 40 people and away we go
LOL Crossy. Set a date ;) Coming of Age day is Monday of the third week in May!
hey, thanks, crossy ... inspired me to prepare some nice home fries and get the bacon going
lol my birthday is first week of may
TY, Herin. I love watching bunnies eat and then lick their lips.
mmm,home fries....
red and orange sweet peppers, vidalia onion .. a little bit of honey ham diced to put in at the end
Scrabbler I love the MASIVE chomps the little guy is doing
today is my one big breakfast day
oh .. and made with tiny new potatoes, skin on, cut into eighths
mmm,i use valencia sweet white onions welki:)
perfect
i like white onions over yellow, but they were double the price this week and i had to put my foot down (about something, i suppose :)
fried in real butter right? or a nice olive oil
yes, real butter
i pay a dollar per onion for theese but each is about the size of both my fists together
hey i saw that commercial too
if you can't treat yourself every once in a while, what's the point
ohhh, huge onions!
indeed
No onions for me--GI upset.
im taking this wonderful acid reflux scrip scrabby..i can eat food again!
its called novo-rabeprazole
lol .. i used to take omega3 caps, mostly flax .. changed yesterday to all fish oil ... it's like a seafood buffet all day long!
since it is covered and nexxium is not
we had bacon sandwiches for lunch today
lol,i remember the spoons of cod liver oil as a child..burped fish all day;(
Yes, welki
yaaa for herin and her bacon:))
omg...there are now two people in this flat in bunny costumes. BRB, I have to deal with this!
eww to cod liver oil
i did some reading on the *after-taste* .. some sites said it was because the oil is bad, but clearly it's not .. i wonder if i'll just get used to it (or maybe start taking my losec in the morning)
hop along nb;))
I take enteric coated fish oil capsules
now i just get my fish oil from the fish i eat..easier lol
I find those things and garlic pills give me nightmares
these are enteric coated, too
hehehe, after what that clerk said, i need all the help i can get :)
too many pills ladies,i keep 2 cloves of real garlic on hand at all times
I needs beds
I just found ej5 and ej7. 96 to go.
actually ive started buying the chopped garlic in jars, much easier to cook with at a moments notice
Oooh, and de6!
i buy the dehydrated (and refrigerated) diced garlic .. love it
ty scrabbs for thos ej,s
Put a d in front of ej5
yup, take a tablespoon and fling it into those hash browns;)
ty scwabby
a tablespoon? LOL
but of course..keeps vampires away
i put in about 1/2 tsp ... medium sized (ancient) farberware pan
i use my moms old cast iron fry pan,she got it in 66 when we came to canada..nothing sticks to it now;)
i used to have one of those .. got lost along the way. well, misappropriated would be the correct term.
if you get a new one, cook nothing but bacon in it for the first 6 months or so
after that you will almost not need a spatula anymore
yes, sir
salute when you day that:))\
sir, yes, sir
well, will be lurking .. potatoes are softening up, time to watch the wee things and start the bacon
(and make a virgin caesar!)
virgin caesar?
don't you have salad birth control out your way?
i do, but it's against the tomato's religious beliefs
season the cast iron pans with oil and salt each time you use it, nothing sticks
are those tomatos paste-o-lic?
i just cook bacon in it till it surrenders:0
lots of oil and salt;)
clamato ... yum
crossy loves ice cold tomato juice with a single drop of hot sauce and a dash of pepper

easy to do,
especially when you've come back after a long break
and you're looking for hidden eggs.....
i found them quite easily. they were in the frig
tell me about those pink bunnies.
lol i came across them and couldn't resist!
not surprise. did they have motors?
one can only hope.....

my monkeys must be on strike
fj is a high barren plateau in norway - think of the word fjord
and good morning everyone
happy neaster flosey, and ty.
that's the only word i can think of, i've probably typed it 10 times!
TY flosey never would have gotten that one!
yw
got it
de8/75 - a luncheon - think it's french
ty flosey. i'd tried the last part of that for a je but no luck . if it takes one french word, why not another?
it is french.. thank you flosey
who knew that would be accepted
yw gg and ru
how I wish they had made us learn french from elementary school instead of waiting until secondary
we started to learn it in the last year of primary school, and it definitely helped
much easier, the younger you are
has anyone got fl740, Please
more fl6/27 !!

fl6/27 is f+like your specs
Think of a movie - Crocodile ......

flizzard?
ty ru ru
a snow fl
really? i must have te wrong fl6 then
I am planning on buying a new/newer car but I am getting a headache. Just started doing some research on line
ike a frenchy flowery snow fl....
Peri, I reccommend y Toyota Prius, really. it stops.
considering a Hyundai Elantra 2008-2010 or a Honda Fit 2010?
it stops regularly.
fo7?
aha, ty
ty. red. another french word.
I have a hyundai elantra, 2008 - very good car
I would see peri in a Bentley personally
I have a 1991 Toyota Corolla with almost 150,000 miles.
of course you would ruru :)
we're thinking about a hyndai santa fe
hyundai has ranked higher than toyota by consumer reports for 4-5 years now.. second only to honda
I'm a huge fan of toyota. and I love the Prius.
i have a 2004 toyota echo,id buy another one in a heartbeat
clairvoyance, harp
have you had any problems with the trunk opening by itself or problems in the snow, kje. they are comments I cound on line
we have an 88 corolla with 60,000 miles, great car!
*found*
and 88 Corolla wow!!
only thing with hyun dai,s is their resale values go down fast
harp, do you only drive it to church on sundays?
peri to the PB now
I know the resale value for Honda is very good and it was for Toyota before the problems
no church is only two blocks so we walk!
what did I say?
LOL harp!
honestly, one of the best cars i ever had (and by that, i mean it handled all my neglect with nary a problem) was the ford escort i had all througth college, med school, residency.... took a lickin and kept on tickin
and since it doesn't have AC we don't drive it much in the summer
I see what I said, oops
i could care less about resale value, cross... I don't buy cars as an investment to resell (would be insane for anyone to) I buy them to drive until they die
I loved my mazda 323 which had a ford escort engine!
you su4 that wasn't a ford timex kje?
each to their own
drives a SUV
same here kje, we have six cars to go.....
you still want them to be worth more than the price of the rubber on the rims after 5 years lol
truly , red... changed the oil in that car twice in 11 years... never did maintenance... never had a problem, and only got rid of it because it was totalled in a successful suicide attempt
i drive then for 6 years, trade them in get a good trade in value and get a new one is what i ment to say
does your Prius have a gun rack kje?
Oh kje, that sounds creepy.
anyways on we go and back to the grid
My 323 was totalled by a drunk driver hitting it head on. with me in it. I am fine.
nah... i mean the CAR committed suicide... rolled itself out into the middle of the street during rush hour... no one was in it - LOL
Ahhhh. it sounded differently.
it had enough of the abuse, i guess
another clue please. ge8/55
not selfish guerny is ge 8
people who give lots of money are the ge word GG.
my uncle was very ge8. he left me tons of money
not stingy
i'm so pleased for you peri. ty. and kje
I wish I had a Ge uncle.
ok, must run... suppose to be at my bros at 12, which is not going to happen thanks to babble

NO, all but one of my uncles are dead. the one left and lots of children and grand children so I am sure I will not be getting aything from him.
well im off for a bit but ill leave you with this for a chuckle... http://www.reallywarped.com/if_women_c ontrolled_the_world.htm
None of the dead uncles left me any money, just trying to clue the ge8
Oh poor peri. None of my uncles are dead.
wow.. I just realized all my Uncles are dead now too.
83 words left and tired of this grid
57 here but I am still glad for a larger grid, I am not doing much today so it is perfect.
did any of them leave you any money ruru?
LOL you gotta be kidding me peri
my uncle died 30 years before i was born, at the end of wwi
sorry ruru

oh a good clue then
of course ru, your clues are always good
congrats, flosey!
ty une
can I offer clues before I read the paper
how many more do you have une?
more what??
oh, rescue dogs?
I just participate in the transport -- tons of people drive them about 60-80 miles each
they end up with their adoptive families or at least with rescues that will foster them until they find good families for them
you are my hero.. how great.
Zack and Mack went to Connecticut
nah, I LOVE it!!
I drive with one hand on the wheel and one rubbing dog fur! LOL
I know that style of driving
:-D
I love labradors..such a wonderful breed
i agree :-)
that's how we got our dog Misha, Une, she came from a dysfunctional home and they wanted her off Vancouver Island
a lady had found them when they were really little, in an abandoned house -- she fostered them till now -- they're about 4 months
and they're the best dogs, eh, flosey?
she was a real pet - and protector - if I was alone and someone came here, Misha would not let them out of their vehicle until I told her it was ok
I refer to it as the Underground Railroad for Dogs and Cats! LOL
flosey, I understand, I have 3 adopted rescues and they provide me with free security! LOL
hi all....clue for de6/36 please?
They're big goofs but they SOUND like they're gonna eat strangers alive! LOL
the harriet tubman of doggies
indeed! :-D
Misha was gentle but I think if a person moved before I said it was ok, perhaps she'd take more agressive behaviour
ok, off to watch the Men's Tennis Final in Florida! Byeeeee
sounds like what check the goverment sends you a de****
enjoy Une,
Hello flosey! nice to see you on the chat. I'm just beginning and don't know how persistent I'll be today.
it's not too dificult stidgmere, a few french words tossed in here and there
and an fj I presume from Norway
Oh, I should have a good flounder then, if there are french words. I spot one meaning a young one. I'll see if it is accepted.
and a lunch
well you can get french breakfast though
ah, yes, lol perhaps brunch?
my memory of french is almost depleted - if you don't use it ..................
but now, off to read the morning news - which really means last nights!
You misplace it. I think. I am relearning things all the time. Keeps me out of trouble, mostly.
be back at flip
enjoy stidg, good to see you again
By flosey.

evening everyone
Hi Katie et al.
hi katie, how did dinner go last night?
momo...there is only one R...? add ro to ro5/14?
TY FMitch
yw :)
yes.
it was great thanks good, we had a great time and I think everyone else enjoyed it :-)
good, happy to hear that.
Glad to hear that Katie, had a great day here too.
didn't you have another function where you had to bring a dessert?
so
Oops, sorry that showed up. Happy Easter to all who celebrate
yep just back from that, it was great fun we had an Easter Egg hunt which the kids went mad at, loads of fun, but nice to come back to my cats lol
so now you get to relax the rest of the day?
and to you Bug
and we have a whole day to ourselves tomorrow, good times all round :-), have you had a good weekend?
Im going back to lurk mode as there is a prog on TV I want to watch.
oh busy (of course when babbling instead of cleaning house like yesterday) but got everything done. Egg hunt, baskets, church, ham is in the oven, guests arrive in 40 minutes. Ahhh...
fantastic, have a lovely time with them all. we had to sneek out of Church early as our new Vicar is not too good on keeping a hour service to an hour (tends to creep up to 1 1/2 hours) and we were going to be late, but apart from that everything went to plan.
we snuck out too. my teenagers volunteer at a soup kitchen for the homeless and they needed to leave. i felt that was a valid excuse.
much better than my easter egg hunt reason. you obviously have good teenagers there
well they have their moments, good and bad, like us all
like you say, don't we all :-)
hello everybody. No time to play now, but my son just walked me through fixing my computer which did, after all, have a hair ball.
See you tomorrow! Happpy Easter all you bunnies!
happy Easter to you too ruby

what do you frost it with?
My favourite movie quote - "When there's no more room in Hell, the dead will walk the Earth"
they were talking about Joan RIvers I think...movie
harpjane, it is whipped cream cheese with just a bit of brown mustard blended in.
sounds good, i don't like mayo so i'm always looking for other choices!
i dislike mayo. i don't eat it on anything. but i use it to make the chicken salad loaf (appetizer) and i LOVE it!
guests have arrived. must play hostess. Happy Easter to all (btw it is 73 in Chicago today - happens about once every ten years on Easter - lovin it)
Hello! Is anyone out there? Can you help me get my last word, please? ne5 is invisible to me
its a plural darlin
plural bugs
Nevermind. It was a plural :(
Thank you both! I feel so silly
it happens....
we all do it - no sweat
I don't even apologize any more!
nope
hi harp
Harpjane I just checked out your icon. What are those bunnies made of?
I don't know bugs but we're going to figure it out and make some!
That size?
I thot they were snomobiles but it looks like they are on sand. Somebody had lots of time.
I would think crepe paper would work
Edible would be SO much more fun tho hootowl
and since they seem to be IN them - maybe just walking & pushing
how about peeps?
Maybe smaller Buggs :D
peeps would melt
have a good day ladies. I have to go outside now and dig in the rain. I want a new garden bed and have 4 days off to do it but the weather wont comply.
not for a while, hoot
bye Bugs - just be careful not to compact the soil
Do you really want to make them that big harp?
ya, but I was thinking more like plywood..... not too imaginative!
Well then just paint them. You can add any texture you want
Have you finished harp? I can use a little help here.
but plywood would be AWFULLY heavy, and not too bunny-like!
just finished, what do you need?
how about an 8 -- i only have one, the opp of stingy
the ro6 & 5 after the cad and the second de8
oohhh, just got the fo8
the first de 8 is past tense of the 7
hmmmm, my only de7 is already past tense . . .
some really unreal words in this bunch
oohhh, got the second de8!
before that one - are you listing?
not yet, hoot
2nd de is a french word, for luncheon. sound like french for "take away the yellow"
ok - give - whats the 2nd one - please
tx harp!
or take away the month before jeuly?
harp LOL!!
I'm trying to play setgame, it's a hard one today!
well, you got it, right?
harp I am very, very bad at french - the only word I could think of didn't work. I may be spelling it wrong
got it from the definition -- french lunch :-)
d o n ' t k n o w f r e n c h
hoot, take the sixth month, misspell it, and put it in the middle of Bambi
hoot, Monet's famous painting, De****** sur l'Herbe
just google it
I will - thanks anyway. It's happened befor and will happen again.
(how did we exist before Google?!)
I am very good at english spelling - not french
what's wrong with "scramble fathers day month inside bambi?" I dare you to google THAT!
must admit i got it by googling!
well, the month is juin
:-D
Hello Babblers :)
oh, sorry, you meant in English -- never mind!! LOL
well not in english!
hey, soodle!
lol she said she didn't know french!
Hello Babble Buddies! I am sitting outside in the sun. The last of my snow piles melted yesterday.

nice scrab
Hi Scrabbs. Hows your Easter Bunnies doing?

They are sleepy now and perk up at about 6 or so.
Haha, Google it, Jane.
Aprpil 24

Wow, it's late next yr!
*April LOLOL
Oh I just had a divine nap. It was rather like an intervention, one minute I was reading and 2 hours later...here I sit.

Hey!! Easter 2010 isn't over yet!!!
cool, red :-)
tytyty
Congrats Hootowl.
*congrats . . . jeez I can't spell today!
Anybody here got a cure for a toothache from hell?
divine nap, i love it! much better than Diving Nap, which would be what you'd get with a typo
It was kinda nice to know I at least had the right idea with the de. Just had the vowels reversed
My Dad suggested rubbing whiskey on the gum, but I am afraid I might just drink it...
not a bad plan, soodle!
clove oil and codeine
te6 + 7 combo please?
it's a stink badger scrab, let me think
te4/4 + not dawn but du**
oops!!
te4/4 + not daw but **sk + plural
a stink badger for real?
*dawn
ok, i give up LOL!
Te6 - TE**vision +**blin is the capital city in my country...
add two 2 pt letters to the te4
yep for real
TY, Une--odd word!
And plural....
great clue, soodle!
Hello again, Red.
thanks all for that clue. Interesting going to have to go look up stink badgers.
Hi scrabbs after my nap, I have 55 left here to find.
Agony is sharpening my brain, Une... :(
poor, soodle :-(
no nap here today, just several loads of laundry, but 20 left
hey, peri :-)
Thank you Une. Sympathy at last. Now I am beginning to feel better.
I did dome dishes, adn of course ambulated the dog far and wide.
toothaches are miserable . . .
I played tennis outside from 12:30-2:15. It was our first time for outdoor tennis this year. We are spoiled with indoor tennis--no sun, wind or as many distractions.
scrabs, i didn't play BUT I got to watch Andy Roddick win the championship in Miami -- wahoo!
Hm, I wonder if those birds are fighting, playing or mating?
:-D
The pair of Northern juncos are flopping all over.
un5 please?
sweet picture, Une
un + 1950s actress Sandra ***
add a vowel to the un4/6 Scrabs if you have it
add another vowel Scrabs
they were sweet dogs, peri :-)
Well, that sure was simple. TY.
Peri, I am doing laundry too.
46 to go -- think I'm heading to the list . . .
the juncos are probably fighting over a female
I am doing the list in reverse alphabetical order. Now looking for sy5.
Une - I got fireworks a while ago, can I help?
i decided to give away my daughter's old desk and have been empyting and sorting stuff in drawers!
and I am going to start dinner - bbl - have a happy
bye, hoot!
Ulysses didn't want to hear them sing scrab
Scrabbler - SY - a mythological creature who lures sailors to their doom
soodle, how about the 8 i'm missing -- have de8 x 2, fo8, and ge8
Oooh, I am looking at the first goldfinch of the season--still tan/grey.
tx for the sy, soodle
I don't know mythology.
wow, scrabs, i don't get goldfinches till mid to late summer!
but have tons of cardinals!
But I figured out the words, TY.
Une - RO 8/50. A shape that is not square, and a word that means to permit....
There is 1 goldfinch pigging out at the feeder.
tx, got it!!
And there is a titmouse.
scrabs, goldfinches LOVE my blackeyed susans!
many of the song birds are heading up to you all. but we still have a lot of squaking bluejays!
ugh, bluejays are so damn greedy!!
buk buk
I have some of those, Une. Yes, red, they all began returning last week. I have seen cardinals. Ooooh, there is a female purple finch now.
hey, monkey bunny!
Happy Easter "peeps"
buk
Hi Lil Monkey peep!
Hi Mamabear
i'm a chickie
howdy, mamabear!
HI guys!
woo hoo, fireworks here, now off to finish laundry
happy babbling all
Desperately seeking a cure for toothache...........
congrats, peri!
hi & bye buk buk Peri
Yippee Peri!
love your cute glasses
Poor Soodle! What have you tried so far?
try whiskey, soodle - if it doesn't work on the tooth, drink enough so you pass out, that should get rid of the pain for a while!
I am munching paracetamol like there was no tomorrow! And ZERO effect. And no dentists open till Tuesday.
that's what her dad suggested, mama! LOL
poor soodlebum
Mama - I am seriously considering that option!!
sometimes that's the only thing that works for me - find something to knock me out and sleep thru the pain
Ibuprofen? Naproxen? Any friends with narcotics? Diphenhydramine (antihistamine) to become sedated?
just get some pliers and PULL
Have you been able to speak with the dentist?
I am thinking about tying a string around the offending tooth, and tying the other end to the door-knob.......
Soodle, just back after starting dinner. A tooth problem? Stidmama is good with what to do but I'm not.
good idea scrabbler, the dentist should be able to call in a script for antibiotics and pain killer to hold you over
I had a dentist who met me at his office on a Sunday once, bless his heart
phantom: trundle
Yes. My sister is a GP (family doctor), and I am going to get her to fax a script for antibotics and pain killers to my local pharmacist. But thats not going to happen till tomorrow morning, and thats a whole 12 hours away. Pass the whiskey..../
My dentist met me at the office on a Saturday afternoon when a temporary crown that she had placed a few days before broke off.
At least you have good Irish whiskey.
Aw, the little goldfinch turned around in the perch and is staring at me.
cheers!!!
LOL!!
Hey Babblers - distract me!! I finished a while ago, and I can clue....
No new birds here right now. Some of the crows are evidentally newbies. Feed me, feed me, I'm helpless is the posture.
OK, last re5 + 6 please?
soodle, i cannot find any of the J words
Scrabbler - to re*** and recycle...
I have 5 birdfeeders out here in front and 2 more in the back. I must put my hummingbird feeders up soon too.
Wasn't that easy, Soodle?! TY.
Lil Monkey - Weird words. Je plus the chemical symbol for iron, and plural
I think the Easter egg hunt next door has confused the crows. They are looking for the birds that can lay such big eggs.
The pain is going.........
thx soodle, just got em all
buk buk
TY, Soodle--new word for me, that je4.
Y v w!!
Y v w!!
Hic. The whiskey is kicking in.....
i thought that je4 is the spanish word for "chief" ???

french word meaning a meal
(means lunch)
thanks, suddenly couldn't remember if it was lunch or breakfast...
means breakfast if you put "petit" before it :-)
that's what was confusing me, I think
thanks, the lunch clue helped with the english to french search online
Considering I don't know much of any language, those clues aren't that helpful
i often toss 'em in anyway 'cause they can be googled . . .
thank goodness for google!
indeed!!! :-)
wow.. haven't spoke to my dad for bit.then went to see him the other day and no one had se4 him for few days and just fo5 out he was in for hernia surgery
fireworks!

ty, miz. finally went to the list at 38, and then it went quickly
Hi Dr1965, just back after having our lunch. Tried a new recipe for a chocolate custard. Strange combination but very tstey.
congrats on getting so far without having to go to lickety
Yippee FV!
I'm always ambivalent about it. I would hardly ever finish without it, but it does feel like cheating somehow.
46 to go for me. I am looking for the last 4 le words now.
Not cheating--it is an aid and timesaver.
I looked for those forever, finally got them after listing
Now the last 2 le's
I got le4/6
time to go finish the taxes. happy babbling!
le's are done....monkey is performing well today.

Good to hear
aha, something to search on . . .
My only problem is my taxes are rather messy,
okay, got the de8. never ever heard that word before. (never took culinary arts either)
I think my having to travel via Paris a lot for work for those two years made the word known to me, but I had to google it to spell it correctly.
I want to use the le as an ending like tweedle dee and tweedle, but....there arent enough words!
halfway done, yay

Got my nose to the gridstone.
how about you red
ahhh a vacation from your vacation?
having a lone time, red. Family on the mainland is now having a turkey dinner to which I wan't invited. That's what I get for living on an island.
I have been enjoying not working for several days now. But this shall come to an end tomorro. I am also embroiled in some complicated tax issues... Grrrr.
I need a vacation to recover from my 3 day weekend--LOL
I've been on my own as well...
Jilli, shall I send you a platter? I actually had two take-out diners today!

I'll send one for you too Red!
I bet island life is lovely otherwise, Jilli.

happy easter, bok bok
thanks Judy! I've been eating pretty well, flank steak and salmon and made some horrid chicken chili, I need a better recipe for that one.
Hi Tea!
oh, yes, krista. I just feel a bit left out.
*send cyber platters to Jilli and Red--ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, peas, pickled red beets, kielbasa, german chocolate cake, apple pie and pumpkin cheesecake*
Wish all-you-can-eat buffets gave hand stamps or wristbands. I want to go back. I wasn't hungry at lunch, lol.
Yes, even if you can't go, would be nice to be invited, huh.
Oh I Love beets!
Oh yum judy!! But I just gained 10 lbs looking at that!
bok bok Tea--LOL
Yes, krista.
And I could have gone.
I love the cadbury creme commercial where all of the animals are bokking
Yes, being invited would be nice. I was not invited by my sister this year, but I have a feeling she would have if she had known Ihad 4 days in a row off....
Didn't know until this afternoon, when son phoned. At least he phoned.
Oh Jilli, I am sorry.
Back at you, Tea!...I'm sorry, Jilli, that definitely stinks.
Next year you can come to my house, Jilli!
Glad you think so. I've been trying not to feel bad.
is annebrook on?
It would be hard not to feel odd about that one Jilli.
Haven't seen her, jacko -- you can tell by loooking at "Who" Online", I think.
*Who's
good evening all, hope everyone had a Happy Easter
Hi Mom.
hello jes
Hi JessasMom! Same to you.
I've been nursing a sick kiddo with strep throat, and had to cancel on the whole family, all of whom were supposed to be coming here for brunch today....
poor family members all had to fend for themselves...and I've got bunches of food in the fridge...
Oh dear -- what a shame, JessasMom!
I think some of them said they were going out for burgers, lol
That happened to me last Christmas. Bummer, isn't it!
Jessa, so sorry to hear about the sick kiddo.
Hope the strep doesn'
they should have come, masked, and collected the food, taken it to someone else's place!
oops..doesn't keep on giving.
better to eat burgers than get strep!
Leaving some for you, of course!
thx, she was really, really sick yesterday but took her to afterhours care and got some meds last night so better today. She was so worried the Easter bunny might not come 'cause she was sick.
poor baby
Awww, poor kid! How old?

Good evening to my fellow babblers! How is everyone?
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! YAY!
fine, Minveryork. Hope your day has gone well. Mine was very quiet but that is okay.
I'd like to wish all fellow babblers a very Happy Easter
hi all and Happy Easter
night, TO
Hello Boobear! How are you? Welcome to the chat log
te6.24, communications prefix + what you owe to the union minus last vowel.
hi boo, Min, Stidg
fine Min. How was your Easter Dinner?
Hi dawber.
Hi lbdawger! How are ya? How was your Easter today
hi lbdawger
My easter was very quiet. made a nice rib roast for dinner and a chocolate cake awaits for dessert! *drool*
My sister-in-law had rib roast, but I did not go there. Husband made an oven roasted dinner for us instead.
We had: turkey, ham, portobello/eggplant/chicken parmesan, mixed roasted potatoes, tarragon carrots, asparagus, peach cobbler, and cheesecake
Yum!
then we all rolled ourselves into the living room to recover
I had ham. sweet potatoes, green bean casserole and tomato salaf
we had four people
Nrkii, what a nice feast you had today. I made a nice halibut with pickles and rice. Then I cooked a butternut squash using a new Indian recipe. Our dessert was also a new dish of a chocolate, rum flavoured, pear baked pudding.
We should have a potluck and then we could lose weight as we walked to the next person's home. It would take us a little time to get there, too.
we only had 11 people... way too much food but I think that's because we couldn't decide!
And you did not invite me over for the yummy dinner Nrkii?? Shame on you!! Sounds better than my dinner!
what did you have min?
a progressive dinner...would take quite a while to get to everyone's home for each setting tho! lol
Husband made an oven roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and canned vegetables. We were supposed to have artichokes also, but he forgot to make them.
hi all
hi jmc
okay, it's getting late... down to 24, but I'm so tired I can't stick with this one
have a great night all!
happy babbling!
night nrkii, hi jmc. Min, roasted chicken sounds good too!
Hi jmcnrick! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
Goodbye nrkii! I will see you tomorrow in the chat log
bye nrkii
i had tom yum soup and wild mushroom dumplings with hot sauce and fried chicken with soy sauce and cilantro and cucs in sweetened soy sauce
and a ginger margarita
all sounds good, the ginger margarita sounds interesting.
brb, chocolate cake is calling!
it was really great but i found the crystallized giner mixed in with the salt on the rim too much but my sister liked it just fine
clue for de 6/39
sorry boo
d + e5 (toss out of the plane)
hi all...
Hello Pinikula! How are you doing?Welcome to the grid
hi min :)
hi pini
hi jmc!
how's everyone doing?
i am fine i just got back from a day trip to philly
enjoyable visit?
went to see red hot patriot a play about molly ivans with kathleen turner
sounds like it was fun! :)
hi pini
it was okay
hi lbd ;)
not what you thought, jmc?
well both my sister and I knew molly and we fe** kathleen turner was sorta lack luster
which was a surprise
I bet :/
not to mention that she sounded less like a Texan than George W.
uh, that'd be an "oops"
clue for de 8/75
the program had a dialect couch listed but. . . .
hi folks
hi welki
what is a dialect couch?
don't have it yet, boo...sorry
hi welki ;)
Hello welki! How are you doing?Welcome to the puzzle
de8/75 ... sort of like a french lunch .. petit de*******
de8, french for luncheon. de + anagram of month after May + one who does ending
hi welki
de8=past tense of de7
oooh, thx, lbd...
yw, pini
thx for that one, too, april
hmmm .. i think my french is rusty .. petit de8 = breakfast, right?
Here is my good de 4/6 for today.I'll le 4/5 hand with a story of clues for babblers who ne4/5 it.My Easter started out on a so 4/5 note today.I did not fo 7/40 an argument my hubby and I had today. I had a very de 5/12 hubby today who forgot to make artichokes to go with Easter dinner. I don't have short tempers in my ge 5/14, but I got into a fu 4/10 and hit the ro 4/7 & a huge argument en6/24.But it was quickly de 7/52 when husband reminded me that some people in the world don't even get to eat a nice Easter dinner I soon fo 5/20 out my husband was correct when he brought that to my attention and I fe4/7 de5/12 for even getting mad over such a little thing. Sometimes we have to en 6/24 stupid little things that we do. I en 6/21ed him that I'd enjoy dinner anyway. I should be grateful hubby fe5/18 every night. I should fe4/7 luck to have a great husband that cooks every night But sometimes I am ru 4/6 and take him for granted. Hubby and I do have several fe 4/9s but we get over them quickly. Well it's time for me to fl 4/7 this joint and go to bed.I do hope that I have le4/7 you with a good story of clues. Goodnight&I'll see you tomorrow
ty april and welki and lbd
egads
that's the longest post in history
great clues, Min. sweet dreams!
thx min!! G'night! :)
bye min
hey jmc, irs never sent my tax form package this year (which is fine by me, since i only use a couple of forms that are easily downloaded). do you know if anything's changed?
well actually a good bit has changed
there is the stimulus package
am i going to debtor's prison?
but the easiest thing is to go to irs.gov
I filed mine yesterday! (better late than never)
what? no since you are an ex-pat you will owe nothing on the earned income
you are not late pini
already done, in the envelope and ready to go ... just curious if you knew if they'd stopped sending the packages to "overseas" folks
this year, for me, I was ;)
i still have 6 le** to go
they have stopped sending them to anyone really welki
hmmm ... am i really an expat if i retain my us citizenship?
well that's good news .. big waste of paper those packages were
i us** to file in feb but i was so overwhelmed by snowmagedon so didn't have time
i agree and so did the irs
expat means you don't live in the country of your birth i think
here, i don't get my T4s until march, so can't file early even if i want to
i have a client in south africa where they have a different tax year than the calendar so it is confusing
whew 1/2 way
brb
i can help with clues if anyone needs one or two
i am thinking of quitting
had enough?
I'm down to 75
yeah it was a long day
but not pressing myself...cuz I'm tired and may just fall asleep before the finish line
go Pini!
well then go pour yourself a drink, put your feet up and veg until bedtime
sounds like a plan
un?
i did have an excellent drink at lunch -- a ginger margarita
tequila and ginger ... strong and zesty!
yep tasty
and lime
best chicken soup i've ever had was heavy on the ginger .. could cure whatever ails you
ginger is good
maybe we should make it a theme if we ever get together *lol*
pini - un4 and un5 are like fruit of the loom garments .. missing a vowel
danke ;)
bitte
te6, 7? fish?
not a fish
no, not a fish ... te6 te + country singer chris ***o*x
want a clue?
good, because mine is really lame *lololol8
oooh, thx! (and I love country!)
seems to have worked
well shiver me timbers, i never in a million years would have thought that clue would fly
t'was an excellent clue, welki!
there are about 483 people in north america who know who that is ... we are two of them
Yeeee hawwwwwwwwwwww!
i saw him in concert at least 3 times.......
ru6?
hi joey ;)
hi joey
So, are y'all country music fans, too?
hi Pinkula, and jmcnrick
ru6 sounds like the seat in the back of an old fashioned car .. shenanigans might have happened there
i quit about the time that loretta lynn did
thx welki ;)
i love music, country included
hi joey, hi welki
hi :)
I used to competitively dance in the CW genre...
hi lbdawger. hope everyone had a great Easter
t'was fun!
wow!
i used to drink enough to sing with an accent
i always sing with an accent
ROFL, welki...silly girl! :)
hell, gimme half an hour in a pub in england and i mysteriously acquire an accent ... i am just so easily influenced :)
jmc, do ya have a drawl?
I'm the same way, welki...accent by immersion (and without a drink even)!
admittedly, i resist canadian speech patterns .. eh?
and also admittedly, i often come up short on resistance
only for a few words
I've acquired the "eh" and "aboot"
but more after a few beers
ewwwwww...aboooot is not canadian. i first heard it come out of the mouths of folks from michigan!
maybe it's a Fargo-ish thing!
but I've also heard it quite a bit from BC'ers
you can hear it in the hills of virginy too
i have no idea where that came from, maybe someone from scotland left it in michigan and parts north
lots of scots in calgary
like the group the Proclaimers and their song, 500 miles .. lol
Happy Easter Everyone - just getting on to play the game and only got half hour or so before bed - wish me luck - figures lots of words today
Love that song!
hi mom
yes there are, but i've not heard "aboot" here
hi mom
calgarians are devout robbie burns fans
*puts the haggis on the fire*
goulies and gesties and long legedy beasties
allow me to digress ... and the loveliest of all was the unicorn
Hi mnh
hi lbd
hi mom
mnh?
g'night folks, just remembered i'm supposed to be someplace else
momneedshelp=mnh
night welki!
bye welki
night, welki
good night welki

you went all the way to reno to go to mimis?
shhesh we were going to go walking around the mall and everything was closed up. I have never seen that happen before
yup
ellen likes to drive
but you could come down to cook for me anytime
that's odd for a sunday. you'd think the stores would be open for those who have nothing better to do but to spend money
even if it does mess up the oven. lol
or you could come up here and i'd cook for you
it was weird. Even kohls was closed
wow, borders didn't open til noon today.
