*hic*
oh, jmc? sobbing? have we had too much or you immensely sorrowful?
just feeling sorry for myself -- it happens from time to time
you know widowed at 42, single mother yada yada yada
mostly i am okay but from time to time. . . .
hmmm...no4 to self, must think of way to eliminate sorrow from motherhood...
motherhood is not so sorrowful as widowhood
I absitively, posolutely am extemely supportive of single mothers....
impossible pav- sorrow is part of the job
just sometimes i look and see i have been a widow for twice as long as i was married and get weepy
well, it can be overcome with JOY! nonetheless...le4 find something smile-ful for jmc...
s'mom, just read the youtube on your sister and brother in law, what an amazing couple and what a wonderful life
good luck with that pav

so, I forget, being a commoner and all, is it your Ladyship? your Grace? mi'Lady...no that's already spoken for...hmmm...Dame Jilli it is....no offence to any actual royals partaking of "free time"
a Dame isn't royal, Pav -- it's like a Sir
yes, but I thought only the Queen could bestow the OBE, etc., I just didn't want to offend any would be royals who thought I shouldn't be handing out titles willy nilly, or willy Jilli, so to speak...
Oh, I see, Pav. Any real royals around? *looks all over*
ok, permissions granted...
phantom - dentist
yay, I'm > halfway!
well done, Pav!
ok off to bed I go...65 left
goodnight Pav

is anyone here?
I'm here
but weakening
just you and me, I guess -- that seems to happen quite often at this time
lol, and it's not that late!
lots of names in who's online but some people leave their computers on all the time
hello - jilli and flosey - i am here 8.30am
I'm still here, but my name doesn't show in who's online -- never has.
hi ursh
hi Christine, wonder why that would be
hi ursh!
You can't see yourself. Hello all
your name is showing in Who's online Christine
That's very strange, Christine!
Someone out there knows I'm planning world domination, and they're jtrying to undermine my mission.
I see myself lyn
hi lynxxx -- I see me in Who's Online, just can't add myslef as a friend :)
I can't see me
sounds like a song lyn - I don't see me...........
in your eyes anymore.....
oh why can't I make them shine as before!
I see you, lynxxx (here and in Who's Online)
or words to that effect
Lynxx - I see you, but not me. Wanna join my mission. If we're invisible, we could be ninjas???
nice song, flosey!
thanks Jilli, wondered if anyone else remembered it
oh well it's just peculiar then. I know I have looked before and noticed that you can't see yourself. Maybe Canadians are an exception!
I'd never heard it, flosey!
hmmm, think it must have been on the hit parade way back
Yes, of course Canadians are Special :)
Maybe Dr.God is Canadian, and affording them extraS??
lol
He's a Chicagoan, I think.
hubby and I enjoyed the most relaxing day today, he made breakfast, we sat by the fire and read and dozed until he made supper! aren't I spoiled
what, no lunch?
very nice Flosey
actually, it was brunch jilli
I had a very restless night so slept late
niiiice, flosey :)
Jillibus, you're probably too young to remember that song - it's from the late 40s.
he's a real sweetie, jilli, as you know
ah, thanks Christine
You jest, Christine!
Yes, flosey, you're a lucky girl
What's the name of that song?
yes, jilli, and I do appreciate him
Flosey, lovely icon. My daughter has a lot of Miriam Haskell's stuff.
Lurking tag team fireworks for me and Met
oh, lovely, Christine
hi pugs

Hi Flosey and ty Lynxxx

Jillibus - "I don't see me in your eyes, anymore:.
YAY pug/met :)
Don't know why I hadn't heard that song -- who sang it?
Perry CComo, among others. A favorite song of my Mum.
ty jilli - Met's going home today, so gotta hit the hay - nite everybody
night pug and met!
ah yes, Perry Como had a tv show I think every week didn't he?
night Pug & Met
Oh, Perry Como. Probably in the 50s.

Yes he did, we even got it here
I remember him, but not the song ;)

Al Martino also sang it Jilli, do you remember him? - also Jim Reeves
excellent clue flosey :) Greetings all.
lol, thanks Mitch
YAY flosey!!!
I do remember Al Martino too -- will have a look at YouTube.
Hi FM :)
(Was buried in the grid -- still need 27)
want any clues Jilli?
I'm sure they're fishy, but how about the de5/12, after the mosquito stuff
that would be the only de5/12 jilli
ok, but I still can't find it, lol!
plural the mosquito stuff
omg!
ty book
yw. I often forget to do that as well
because you think your de4 went the other way
as I did and didn't get it for a long time
well, how about the de6 and 7 after that?
Hi jilli, sorry popped off there for a moment to get another mug of tea and then remembered I needed to tie the rambling rose. Hi book
the rain came down in a great de6 then pl
a flood
thanks flosey and book. I'm just blind at this point!
and I even had the last part of that
yes, the olympic sport
ty. i missed the sport
I've come to the conclusion that staring at these yellow cubes does cause headache
I see the volcano is back (and pl), verty topical at the moment as more than 20 countires airports are now shut or have restricted flights.
yes, we've been hearing about it a lot!
is the eu7 a usual word?
sounds like a girls name
ending with 2 vowels
*scratches head and hopes for a light bulb moment*
Prince Andrew's second daughter, last vowel changed.
Good morning/evening all.
actually, I've heard it used as a man's name also with single vowel ending
ty Haz and flosey!
yw jilli
and hi Haz, did you see my clue about you?
Good morning Haz
oh yes -- often shortened like Mr Autry of cowby singer fame
No, flosey, just arrived.
yes jilli
ah, ne6 and 7 - works you might prefer not to see, Haz
much less use!
Yes - nasty little things!
lol
didn't eralise Haz didn't like them
oh boy, typo time
Haz doesn't like anything to do with sewing :)
apparently it was not her favourite option in school
Jillibus, combine them with thread and it's one of my top ten hates.
haha! I thought you meant injections
I do all her sewing and she does my ironing in return!
Haz, reminds me of my sister, at the end of the year she brought home an unfinished apron - grade 9 or 10??
Oh, injections aren't a problem! It's the prospect of being asked to do something with the sewing variety that makes me shudder.
I liked sewing, embroidery, etc, when I had more time
ah, it's the injections that make me shudder
Even darned a sock the other day.
Hole in sock = bin.
I love embroidery too jilli - am hoping to make some time for it this year and finish a couple of projects that have been on the go for ages.
Lol Haz, same here.
unless of course you have knitted the sock
I'm forever sticking toe through the end of sox
Greetings lynxxx!
Hello lynxxx.
hi FM & Haz
phew finally got the eu.
do people still knit socks?
oh yes, flosey!
I don't know, but turning the heel always seemed to be the tricky bit.
yes, I remember that part with horror Haz
My husband still has a couple of pair that someone knitted him
oh, pats self on back for finding id8
good for you jilli
goes off to hunt for it.
TY Jilli
what is the number count for it please?

id8/55
id6/55
Ta.
must be off to bed, goodnight all, see you tomorrow night
Goodnight, flosey, sleep well.
Nighty night flosey, hope you sleep well.
goodnight Flosey, hope your Sunday is as nice as today
oh, after I see what tomorrow's theme is
thanks Lyn and Mitch
flosey, the next theme is Pet Monday
Our Sunday started with quite a frost but the sun is out and the temps are rising well, should be about 16 today :)
ah yes, Jilli, I've run out of Pets, perhaps my little sweetie will do?
yay found the id8 abit of a twisty route but the number count helped.
Just realised there's a word lurking within the id8.
I guess he's your pet these days, flosey
yup, jilli, and a very dear one
sheesh so there is Haz
A two for one...
any clues for gu6/30?
sounds like a precious metal, sort of
sounds like the colour of a precious metal
ah yes, more accurately Mitch
TY FM, nice clue
ah, ty flo and FM
and am off for sure now, poof
sprite should find that one as it is a derivative of a Dutch coin.
g'night flosey, and thanks for the help. 6 left now.
I kept trying to spell it with an extra e after the u.
so I saw, FM, when I looked at the ?
wtg jilli, I am lagging behind but that always happens when I start chatting.
I say the monkeys are working well today just found the te6/18. similar the the Admiral that won the battle of Trafalgar.

Have you got the edible seaweed, much beloved in NI seaside resorts? du5/14. It's an acquired taste.
Yay congrats jilli!!
Well done, jillibus.
congrats Jilli!
du5 is a favourite in the Maritime provinces here
not yet Haz :(
thnks all, and thanks for the help!
I only have fighting and two person musical things.
To rhyme with what a nurse takes when holding your wrist and looking at a watch.
wow.. look out gremlin.. jilli is getting her game on
Hello ruru!
It's an anagram of the fights.
gd morning everybody
Good morning, ruru.
hi FM
You jest, ruru :D
Hello, ruby.
are you guys ashed out...??
and hello ex birthday girl :)
hello haz
hi ruru and ruby
No ruru, it is too high up in the stratosphere but is affecting many countries aiports.
hi Ruby!
and jilli and ruru and FM. I don't feel older, but my husband sent me a note adding a year to my age! For a minute, he had me fooled
It's getting pretty serious, ruru. The knock-on effects are going to be huge. Thousands stranded who can't get home and it may last into next week.
hello lynxx
I think the ramifications of this ah mess will go on for weeks!
not to mention international courier services and import/export of produce. They say that HEathrow may well be shut down until Friday.
of course all of you in England are willing to house all these stranded people?
ruru, I'm talking about people from Britain who are stranded abroad. They've had their holiday, now can't get home.
Heaven help us if the big volcano starts errupting.
yes, have you all been asked about spare rooms and non-paying guests?
And of course, it works both ways, people who've been here and can't get away.
all of a sudden, I think a lot of people are becoming aware of "global" community issues. Before, they said "Iceland, where's that?" Not now
mmm just shows how dependant we have become on air transport for a myriad of reason (not just holidays)
Buses and trains services must be swamped
nothing like being stranded in airports for days to make a memorable vacation
yes EuroStar is fully booked and most of the ferries are reporting high bookings.
Ferries are running at full capacity but they still can't cope with the numbers.
No point in staying at the airport, they're pretty much ghost towns at the minute.
can you imagine being at the end of a package tour, not having extra money, and being stuck in a city like London or Frankfurt or Paris?
Caught a snippet on the BBc this morning that any *air mail* letter from the UK are beeing driven to Spain and then flown out from there!
They'll find ways and means of doing all sorts of things, it just makes everything feel less certain and normal.
what I don't understand is the visible anger of some of the passengers. Who are they blaming?
I bet the conspiricy theorists are having a field day.
They're just angry and frustrated - it's even worse when there's nobody to blame and FM refuses to show her face.
ideo
Oh ha ha Haz, now I am to be blamed for natural disaster too? That is a heavy burden to carry.
sorry, not a word anyway
no but change the last letter ruby
A neighbour has erected a sign complaining about Council rates and generally having a rant. Also blames the Council for damage done to his house in the earthquake !
a little coffeed-up....
We need to consult with Ata to see whether you can be blamed for natural disasters.
there is one thing about the ash in France though...
there are French people in those coastal areas blaming everyone else on their having had houses built in inappropriate areas. Tant pis to them!
good for the vines Ru?
and for my garden?
Seeing as I have to take the blame for so much can I not be exempt from acts of God or even Dr_God :)
no.. cuts back on all the cigarettes in outdoor cafes..
lol
actually the ash will be really bad for the grapes if it is still around then
you don't need to smoke, just breathe!
Back in 5 one more shot of tea needed.
well I found three 7's so far.. anyone know what the 8 starts with?
id8 -
id
no idea yet for me
id8/55
but I like this friendly grid anyway
3 7's, no idea for me, but I like this friendly grid anyway
thanks got it
nice, ty for pointing me in the right direction

see you later

thanx
glad to help

Hi Ruby.How is the garden?
did you mean me, Christine? hahah
The garden is beautiful, better every day. However, I was deceived by a tulip-grower, planted 24 supposed-to-be pink tulips and I think they're going to be white!!
You got me .I wondered if the dust was spoiling the blooms.
This place knocks me out every spring!
I've never lived any place with such a clement climate
Hey
White tulips will go with anything and just as attractive if not quite what you wanted.
hi herin!
how are you all?
I know, but I only use a little bit of white in the garden and these look very strange so far, even the leaves are partly white!
Morning herin.
Morning Macadam and Ruby
Time to leave for a while ,visitors.Back later.
I am too compulsive with my garden design, I'm afraid, VERY limited color range
have a great day Mac
bye mac!
well I got sunbrunt in Autumn
I can't wait for some real sunshine here; my doctor keeps saying SUN!
no realy not good
I don't like gtting sunburnt
that's because you are young....
no that is because I am fair
and, ultimately, it wrecks your skin and gives you wrinkles when you're my age.
do you have freckles?
yep
I was saying that today about sunbaking is bad
yes, and dangerous for melanoma
but, at my age, it is good to get sun for ones bones!
I mean baking not just putting sunscreen on.
I saw a girl I went to school with and I swear she looked in her 40's due to sun baking
when I lived in Miami I was chestnut-colored most of the year. It looked great then, and now I look like a prune!
opps
I'm trying to reach half before lunch....
I am trying to wake up
I had a 3 hour nap
I wd like to sleep after 8AM but dogs and husband won't allow it - lots of barking and whining!
one more and half.....
opps
our cats do that
I think they can tell time, even my husband!
i think so
little monkeys
yay, half!
maybe it's the chimes on the clock!
big monkeys!
maybe
see you later; have a nice afternoon/evening (mrning, if it's USA!
enjoy

Hello lurkers and studious babblers :) Back again to try and finish off. Lori I know you are out there, come and play!
wb FM. Just finished watching new DrWho. VG! like Alice in Wonderland
Hi lynxx, am not convinced by the new Dr Who, does not have me gripped like the last couple but am keeping an open mind.
Each is special, I think this one is very kooky. I love the new way of filming - directing. Does it continue like that?
Bought a great bargain at the local car boot this morning 6 very well established geraniums for £5, at the garden centre they would have cost at least twice that.
we aWe had episode 3 last night and I guess the answer to your question is yes.
hello friends over the world
Do you know when/how to prune geraniums? I only have one that a nice neighbour snapped off for me - a strong vivid pink - but I want to keep it bushy and not sure how
Hi Esprit
hi Espritd
don't you just smip off the deadheads lyn?
snip even
just got up
Not sure lynxx as am going through a steep learning curve here as haven't gardened in a long time. The way i am learning is by googgling things.
mmm not sure, the parent plant is very leggy and mine is heading that way already
good idea FM, will do too
just keep trimming it
Taking off deadheads encourages new flower but not sure how you keep one bussy as there are so many varieties in the Pelagonium family
*bushy even
feed it ice cream and pizza, that keeps me full and round ;-p
I even tried identifiying a lant by typing in the description of the leaf the other day and found it pretty much straight away. LOL Esprit
*leaf!! for heaven sake my typing is getting worse than ever!
What time is it with you Esprit?
6 am
Ah OK 6 hours behind me. Passes a mug of coffee over to your time zone :)
mmm ty
yw, and lynxxx is probably at least 6 hours ahead of me. The planes may not be flying but at least we can still talk all over the world.
looking to be a nice day here
what a freak thing that Iceland volcano eh?
It is beautifl here, frost to start but warmed up v quickly and now is about +17, spring blossom is all over :)
love this time of year
is all over as in the sense of it is everwhere not all done *someone hit me*
The volcano is causing chaos Esprit my daughter should have flown last Thursday now who knows
yes, I've been watching the news
fire and ice what a wild mess
The volcano is causing so many probs for airlines and businesses all over Europe now and as there is no wind it seems it will stay the same for a while yet.
It is still erupting and there is a danger the big one will erupt, just goes to show mother nature rules
Mother Nature is still the boss
oh and btw there is the good old volcano and pl in the grid.
V true Norma, if the big ones does go .......
That is one I always miss FM lol
Hi all.....clue please for en6 please?
I was chuffed to find it by myself this morning Norma as I usually miss it too.
Just goes to show what a small world we live on when something 1000 miles away can cause such chaos
en6 - the whole
If you hadn't pointed it our FM I probably would have missed it again lol
where is your daughter Norma?
thanx lynxxx
en6/24 - a being a life force and also a word that is used a great deal in Sci Fi films
en6 actually maybe not 'the whole' but a being
She is at home in the UK she should have been flying to the Balearics
What a shame Norma, will she be able to get a refund?
I have a son in China, fortunately not near this earthquake or the last one 2 years ago
There was an interesting discussion about refunds and liability on the BBC this morning.
That is something to be grateful for Esprit ... you never stop worrying about them do you lol
Thank goodness for that Esprit!
hell no
BBL dinner is up
TTFN lynxxx
hello again.. What I have learned about gernaiums and hardy geraniums in my "vast" 11 yrs of gardening is: 1) you can keep the window-box geraniums in the garage all winter, watering them once a month, and then put them in the ground when frost is past, 2) always deadhead and don't give plant food or they grow leaves and too tall for window boxes
hello agin
oh thanks for the tips ruby and hello! and hello herin.
wow, it didn't say anything about my suggestion to feed pizza and ice cream?
My daughter didn't have any bother with the airline she was flying with FM they just re-booked for next week, but I believe a lot of the airlines are being difficult
what's for dinner lynxx?
hi herein
I never knew that and always threw them away until 2 yrs ago. They are lovely in border gardens
*feeds Esprit ice cream and pizza* as she is obviously wanting that forbreakfast :)
hi jean
hi ruby
esprit, come here, we'll feed you excellent pizza from our Sicilian resto in the village\
nooooooooooooooooo never for breakfast
anyway I ate like royalty last night so not hungy yet
I had dinner and really should be doing an essay due tommorrow but just is not feeling the love of it
oh, cold pizza, left in the box over night, is one of the "great " breakfasts. [that's very New York, I'm afraid]
HAve to say that the light aircraft round here are having a field day as the skies are clear of commercial jets - have many buzzing little planes crossing the skies a.t.m
yes, never developed a taste for cold pizza, needs at least a few sec in the micro
however, the Sicilian tries to make couscous but doesn't have a clue. I could teach him but then, again, if I felt likecooking, I would!!!!
Snap on that Esprit
don't have a microwave, too old to have learned
good old oven will do then
I learned to make couscous from an Algerian in Paris in '68 -- OMG, I'm so old!!!!!
I have been know in the past to have left over Indian take away for breakfast - can say it is very tasty.
but if anybody wants to know how, I can teach you
how old ARE you?
I think most leftovers are better than in original state1
would love to know ruby, saw a prog the other day where a chef toasted the couscous before poring the water on.
Me? Old 32
ancient, especially since yesterday (FM knows)
did u have a birthday?
*grin* ruby is an elegant mature women and we don't discuss age do we?
T'was her birthday eysterday.
my birthday is next Wednesday, same as QE2
no no, you put it in a big roasting dish and sprinkle on salted water, then rub it between your hands; then sprinkle on olive oil, then rub it again; then more salty water, then rub it again; then more oil, then etc.
Ruby Happy birthday.
HB Ruby
Finally, you put iit over the big couscousiere with the fabulous broth and stew.
You mean as in the ship Esprit?
I like that "elegant mature" part. Don't think I will ever be accused of either ;-]
Thank you everybody, didn't mean to make such a continuing production.
no the Queen
not the same year tho
21t, jean? We'll all make a cake for the PB and then, IF you make a mistake, it will be waiting! This is the nicest group
Ahhh :)
sounds good to me!
Ruby I was about to say you have teh same date of birthday as my friends little girl but I was off a ew days
hiya everyone
Hi Movie.
if I was born a day early I would be sharing with Hitler ewwwwwwwwwwwww
I have six "birthday friends" but I guess it's a 1 in 365 chance.... wildcat and I have the same birthday.
eeeewwwww
Hey mm!!! How goes the day?
hi movie man
I was meant to be born on Christmas day.
it's my grandmother's birthday on Tuesday (the 20th), and she shares a birthday with Hitler
The weather today is bloody gorgeous
here, too
and did you have other plans Herein?
I am happy to share my birthday month with some great babblers. Isn't it just mm :)
still a little bit chilly, but not too bad and otherwise gorgeous. When is your birthday, FM? Just don't tell us your age, you'll make us "old" ones feel worse
We're haven't a family do to celebrate my grandmother's birthday today
She's 90
Yep Esprit 2 months early
*having
I'm younger than that, lol!
How great is that! Hope you all have a wonderful day.
what was the big hurry ;-D?
because of babble and facebook, that was the most birthday greetings I've ever received. I am very grateful and feel extremely lucky to have found this community!
DIdn't want to be ripped of with presents :D
We will mitch
we should start our own nation and teach people how to get along
good thinking herein
LOL ruby, I'm a Virgo.
if FM's b-day is May, I may be able to celebrate it "en face"
Scorpio Libra cusp
OK, better consult the charts.....
ruby do you think you will have time in your schedule for a Lodon meet up?
oh, like my son, who is BTW, coming to visit in May, IF he can get on a plane!@
hopefully the volcano will have finished it's tantrum
I hope so but still haven't reserved as I am scared about leaving here on many levels.
my son and wife were coming standby on united, but with the problems, standby's may be put on very long hold.
where is your son?
how far are you from London, FM, more than an hour by train?
About an hour to central London.
My son is in Austin TX and is a musician, the leader of whose band died last week at age 26. Son is at 6's and 7's
as is Atalante and quite few other babblers.
oh no, what happened to him?
Perfect, Fm, I am sure we will have time!!!! :D
phone back in 5.
Weird circumstancesof the death; nobody knows exactly yet but son has no band for the moment. Evidently, there's a ten-minute video on you tube of JTWright, and my son is on there, second guitar.
I haven't seen it yet, not very adroit at all this computer stuff
Ruby do I have you on FB?
FM: as soon as I make the reservation, we cAn make plans. It would be a hoot, and I'll bring along photos of the "stead"
I don't think so, herin, I'm nancy kelley, nelliekelley50@yahoo.com
Yes I am
is it dangerous, putting my e-mail address on here? My son keeps warning me as he's a computer guy (as well as being a musician!)
we have a cuckoo living in the field above the house and although I've only seen him/her once, I can here him often. Lovely!
It is best if you add gaps. Like JaneDo At Yahoo Dot Com
hear* arghh! my spelling is going down the tubes, clockwise? counterclockwise for you, Heirn? Or is it the other way awound
No idea I can't be bothered getting up to check that one :D
what will they take from me, the internat pirates, my foot-printed floors?
no idea
if you flush the toilet, you can tell....:D
or my messy studio
I put up my ''spam'' account that way I get stuff but if it gets influx of spam so be it
that's a good idea!
man It is nearly 10pm and I still haven't started my essay
Just can't do it
in a mother's voice "get to work, Herin!!!"
at 10PM I am always wrapped in a duvet and watching TV, not eactly energetic at night!
Back, ruby best not to put yr email addy in the chog as you never know who is going to pick it up, you can put it in your profile which is safer.
my response bite me
ok, never again.
lol, herin!!!!
Ruby I love your puppies
that has appeared on TV in the last year or so. Where did that come from?
So do I!
seriously need more sleep. I think 944pm is too late to SMS my teacher
I think I would go bonkers without my pups!
o bugger I forgot to hang out the washing and bring it in
I am amazed by how much confidential information do put in this log because they feel comfortable here but there are always people lurking who don't even need to have a babble account to see the chat as it shows up on the very first screen before you log in (or it used to - been so long since I logged out I am not sure).
Can we help? What is the paper about? You never know what resources you might find here. I'm good for art history and cooking.....
Um its a paper on Human Resources and a dream job and writing KPI's and I really can't be stuffed
What I never put is banking info or my real age (lol) but otherwise, I think facebook is probably the real achilles' heel
urg HR, a nightmare!
I never put in FB status ''Going out to do this or personal info''
I once got a great job making up a truly fictitious marketing plan, using everybody I knew in any related area. And it worked!
Nothing like utilising resources ruby!!!
But don't tell my husband, because it was his company that gave me the job! HAHAHAH
LOL!
Well that is rude. I have my name in the White Pages with my mobile umber
I think we all have funny (hahah or peculiar) lives in different ways. This is a very interesting group!
What is rude herin?
What is rude? How I got my job? I was starving to death in NY at the time....
No the fact that My name is in the White Pages with my mobile number and No body asked me
Ahh OK.
I bought a mobile phone and couldn't figure out how to use it. Too old, I guess, and I shudder at the idea of the phone ringing
AND fb just changed there settings again ffs
Oh, I understand. That's like the phone company listed our fax number and I get telemarketers on the fax machine and have to run downstairs to disconnect!
fb's settings are very annoying!
ruby you ne4 a course on modern technology to become more independant.
when/if my son comes in May, perhaps he can help sort me out. The only thing I can do is type well, having earned my living that way through school, etc.
I know hun, you ne4 to make a long list of things for him to do *grin*
Ruby I am not listed which is a pain and I didn't think they listed mobiles
like sort out my 1000's of photos. I had a friend come and enter some photos and she wound up copying everything multiple times. AAArghh!
We are listed but only husband's name, not mine. I never changed it after we married. He doesdn't like it, but I think it was a smart move.
Unfortunately they list everything these days herin unless your country has opt out options in place. but even then other countries can still contact you :(
I think, in the end, I am not a very nice person!!!!
Well I like to be private as I have too many freaks that irritate me
Don't go down that route ruby - we all have our drawbacks.
what kind of freaks, herin, I hope not from babble. Maybe from the phone book or from school?
Lets just say the kind of freaks I don't want on a leash tied to my bed
I have call display, I don't answer numbers I don't recognize. That cuts down on frustration. If it's important I figure they will leave a message
and good morning
Yup good point sukee and Hi.
hi sukee. When a telemarketer calls, I say I don't speak French
if they get nasty, I just hang up. If they call back (and it has actually happened), I make my husband answer the phone
It is 1pm here and time for lunch, thanks for the chat and TTFN.
bye FM, see you later, I'm going to take my siesta!
Bye FM
Sukee I mean now you can pick my last name and get the address hence the reason i don't have a lot of info out there
I think lady is a sufficiently obscure last name! lol
Ruby I am not lucky to have a common last name though.
mine is ordinary, but not for France, and nobody has it
Ireland or the US would be a different story!
I am going through my FB to delete things that are irrelevant
is that possible? I thought FB kept everything, forever, like google
bye for now, nap time!
enjoy
Hi anyone.
Hi Sally
Ah, I'm not alone then :-)
There were lots on a few minutes ago but they have all drifted off
Lunch time for some.
I think they have all gone to enjoy the sunshine lol
Have been out on and off all morning, so have come in to do some necessary chores.
Hi there fellow Babbleonians.
I am just waiting for the last load from the washing machine .... Hi gramma
I require 1 word to finish this grid. Any help out there? eu7, please.
Hi gramma.
NM
May I offer a clue or two before I take off?
Thanks for the offer gramma but am only just about half way thru so will keep on for a while ...
Not long started gramma, so would rather get as much as I can first.
ae 6 clue please
nm, I had to go in circles
ae and lucy and ***i
So far the grid is just OK ... is it just me?
good morning ladies;)
I just started so far so good
Hi Crossy!!
Hi Crossy
I only have 37 words.
I had a phone call sorry.
The grid is not to bad today Merk ... at least some of the words follow on
Merk, the grid is quite fun and ea4/6
sounds good, dving in....ploppppp
See you all later
I'll reach that point, then. I always do eventually.
bye gramma
It took me forever to realize there was a 'g' down in the bottom row.
By the way, where is everyone this morning? Church?
In the UK, they are probably all out in the garden.
can anyone please clue the en6/24 plz? Last one and I just can't get it.
And a very good place to be.
I'm only just starting the 'e' words. I'll look with you.
en + small bird, (blue, great or coal!) + sometimes vowel
Of course- thanks so much Sally.
np
ty from here, too
Must run for now. Have 101, 84 to find later, and must go and clean after workmen have been so that we can sleep in a dust-free room tonight.

Hi ((Mom)) and a very good morning to you too
good morning Mom
Hi guernseygirl
{{Annie}} good moring!
good morning Boobear
love the tapeworm ad, mom
Howe are you today,Mom
thank you Guernseygirl. I thought it was a hoot
I am going great Boobear, how are you?
I beg your pardon ! I am hoot!
Mom, Tapeworms, lard and cigarettes...what's next? opium..
Hi Hoot!!
fine..just eating breakfast while I play babble
hmmm, there are several to choose from. I haven't decided which one will be next.
morning couldn't resist.
lol hoot
glad to hear, Boobear. I am eating my breakfast while babbling also.
hehehe -
Mom, I know it will be a good one.
Love that easyjet is in the grid but not flying here cos of ash plume.
I will change it tomorrow.
well-observed Pat
have to be careful, wouldn't want to step on anyone's toes
Sorry should have shielded part of that sentence. Me idiot.
oh Pat, that must be awful
it's strangely quiet without any planes, even though i don't normally notice them particularly
Well, the mother in law can't complain about the dust or the dirty car. Some advantages. No hols booked but can say couldn't go to 'somewhere very expensive' as no flights.
you get so use to hearing them
it shows that the Earth is still more powerful than humankind, despite all our technology
agreed Guernseygirl
Help please: I changed my icon yesterday and although I have been in and out of the grid loads of times, no success.
I kept telling them not to piss her off!
:) Hoot
It has loaded on my page!
stit
Patxxx, after you changed your icon, refresh and then when you are back into your account refresh again?
Hi Hoot and Patxxx
I am seeing Betty Boop
Hi Boo - I only see BB when I click on icon. Otherwise just some small blobs
My eyes - not your picture
Thank you all. I did refresh and refresh but when you say go it did. My Dad had that kind of power.
Patxxx , are you new to babble
No Boobear but I rarely change my icon. I'm not new to computers either but they have been my work machine and I never had time to delve into 'how to do', nor do I understand the lingo. Well, I'm not a novice but like the car I leave the fiddly bits to the mechanic.
ok I was wondering and I have never seen you here before.. Glad you are here with us
Boobear, havc you changed your icon recently? i don't remember seeing this one before
yes I changed it the other day
i like this one. what is it?
Betty Boop wasn't my original choice but the others pics didn't transfer. Obviously my ineptitude Boobear and I did do as instructed.
ty,it is a murano glass tree
beautiful.
ty. I just googled trees and it came up. I like it too
halfway (finally) .... must get busy .... be back in a little while. {{Hugs}} to all of you. Patxxx, nice to meet you.
by mom
bye bye guernseygirl
Bye Mom. I know all your names but if I talk I don't finish the Babble.
bye ((Mom)) enjoy your day
byebye Patxxx
bye bye {{Annie}}
I don't finish either way Patxxx :-)

hello, hello to both of you
i know how you feel peri, pretty much that's why i lurk, usually no one ever answers me but a certain few if they are on--you being one of them.
peri in4/4
yep, me too
people usually say hi most of the time
help id6 & 8
sheesh, ty, sixty
really i find it depends what time of day it is and what group of people are on.
sixty - id8 - a passport is a form of this
very true, rep
id6 builds on the id4
Good morning everyone!
ty denny & peri
morning all... glad to see a medium grid today.
I realize that most of the people are usually busy with the grid but it is nice when at least one person says hi
hi jmb
hey car
hi jmb
hows the grid?
hi car
pretty good so far, hve 113 words with no list
but seem to be stuck
cool... here i go...
I'm afraid I'll type in the wrong box!
yes but u can tell how the grid flows that some are talking only to certain people and cant miss your greeting when they are answering the one above or below it.
ok--i've vented now i'm done!!!!
do you feel better now, rep :)
hi reparteena
hi sixty! yes peri...
lol Reparteena!
May I please have a clue for the E in the second column from the right for NBT?
hi rep! I believe we have never met! good to know someone who can vent!

I just typed a whole message in the Add Word box :O

ae6 - ae plus to eat in serious fashion
AE and to consume food.... BTW Hi everybody
Good morning/afternoon all.
thank you Haz..
You're welcome. Hello, Soodle.
Hi Haz, and everybody else.
ty haz and soodle
You're welcome, mixi.
Fireworks!
Congratulations!
Yay Mixi!
good job mix!
hello everybody
*whistles while patiently waiting for someone else to ask for the da 5/12...*
did you have a nice time at the party, soodle?
eating seriously? I only know the ae mosquito
Would anybody like a clue for da5/12?
yes, yes, haz!
Hiya Roobs. Yes - we had a BRILLIANT nite. An awful lot to drink - and an awful lot of 'Do you remember......'
yes haz!
*hhhmmmmm looks.. yes Haz that is one I need*
hello all
sounds like the best kind of party!
If so, follow Mr Quayle with a couple of vowels.
Hello, Dorens.
does that mean potato?
how's the air up there, Haz?
Paying the price, now, though. We didn't finish till 5.00am - so I am a bit dilapidated today.
ty haz
5AM! you have to be young to do that!!
ty
It's pretty clear, that's why it seems so strange to have no flying.
5 Am?? quelle soirée!
good luck all-bbl
Like I said - I am now paying the price. How was your birthday, Ruby?
You're welcome, ruru.
maybe it's higher than you can see, haz?
Bye reparteena.
very nice, thank you, husband was lovely about 80% of the time! lol
Haz, have you noticed ashy stuff on cars etc? My car is covered with the stuff, yet the skies are clear.
It's at about 30,000 feet and miles across the Irish sea. No ash at ground level here so far.
You're sure your neighbours haven't been shaking their rugs over your car?
nothing here, just a general haze, but not different from often
I think the country of Iceland should pay for a carwash for you soodle
LOL
clue for the last de 4/7
given you are hung-over and all that
still working on Mr. Quayle.....
Iceland has no money to pay for anything...
Thank you Ruru. We'll start a campaign...(tho' I don't think Iceland can afford it...
then ask BJork to pay for it
somebody said they're giving the UK ash instead of cash....
she can afford it..
de4/7 - same structure but different first vowel from periods of time of 24 hours.
saturday night live did a funny sketch about bjork talking to the volcano..
Lol
is it on you tube?
probably.. and if not give it a day or two... it was on last night
da5/12 - Mr Quayle plus two of the vowels used to say that you will pay somebody back money.
That DA 5/12 word always reminds me of Hawaii 5 O. Remember Jack Lord's catch phrase - Book 'em ****
ty Haz
me too soodle, and i didn't even watch the show
You're welcome, Boo.
the lead of my son's band died last week and evidently there's a you tube video of him, JTWright and Solstice. My son is the hefty one playing bass!
You're showing your age, Soodle...
My grandmother was only telling me about it the other day....
soodle was probably a little kid!
i will try to remember that and watch later, ruby
Ii still haven't seen it, but John said it's great!
how many de7's are there? I have two
There are 3, ruby.
don't ask me.. i've just started and have none
usually I give clues that everybody already has!
de7 pt of heavy rain and de7 peaceful agreement. What's the 3rd one?
well i found one, but you probably already have it
de7 - superlative of de4/6.
okay, amended... i found one and you DO already have it
there are two de's
ty haz. have three now
en 6 is escaping me
en6 forms part of the longest word, ruru.
ty, haz
The longest word in the grid, I mean.
ah
en6 - something that exists
*smacks forehead*
ty for clarification. i misunderstood that one haz
hi anike
fireworks
yay anike!
... and Fireworks!
Well done, anike!
And congratulations, Merk!
hi ruby - and goodnight. Its been a long day and I need my bed
and goodbye ... heading on toward Seattle.
yay merk and anike
ty
gn anike
ta ta
Well done Fireworkers!
yay merk!
Happy babbling
wtg Merk
Bye to Merk and anike.
hello all! hi haz!
hi owl.
I had better go and rescue dinner; see you later
hi TO!
news for you owl. i have rejoined the ranks of single women
Hello TO!
Bye ruby.
Oh my!
Bye Rubes
You're not having a great time of it, Dorens, are you?
when it rains it pours, haz
are congratulatins or commiserations in order, dorens? We are here for both!
(that's an old USA advertising slogan for salt)
Morton's salt!
honestly i'm not sure. i'm trying to find the congratulatory aspect of it, ruby. there are some good points here - not a hell of a lot though. i was sort of surprised, myself
It seems to be the case, Dorens. I hope things get a bit less nasty soon.
oh no; shall i read back?
I'm sorry if you are having a hard time....
it certainly changes my outlook for the future. nothing to read back (except i'
apparently lost my job now too
oh my!
Finished
I just meant about Dorens' job - I kind of keep abreast of news even if I'm not always around.
Well done, Mudd.
Oh, Dorens, so sorry to hear that.
i think i will change the topic now. and i'd better tell my kids (haven't yet) just in case one of them decides to play today. which is unlikely, but you never know. and they should hear this from me. it kind of affects them too
yay mudd
I'll be online in 1 1/2 hours
haz is the keeper of the threads of our lives....nice to know
ariadne, haz!
i thought the job was a done deal, at le5 until the end of the summer to see if things improve.
i will probably be outside in my garden bemoaning the death of my large areas of pachysandra
is that the right one?
yes, owl, it is.
I'm just awfully no5/14.
But Dorens, understandable if you want to change the topic.
ty and toodle-loo
but really, it's good to know that there's always someone to fill us in on others' news. cause we're not always on at the same time
no, you are warmly concerned for all of us; that's my impression. I've only been here since December and I feel like a part of this special world.
oh you are ruby.. you're on my list to visit the next time I'm in France
hmm i guess my plans for iceland will have to wait
when the wheels come off, it's wonderful to know that we can talk about it and get good advice.
dorens: you are officially invited!!!!
that's right owl... you were seriously considering that, right?
TO will have to wait for David Hasselhof to have a concert closer to her now..
guest room looks out on the garden and the lake
wha?
and it's very private
thanks ruby.... see, I just intuitively expected that. didn't know about guest room overlooking lake though, i will go book my ticket now!
see you later ((dorens))
isn't de doing a concert in Iceland.. I thought that is why you are going.
well i am SO tired of not going anywhere, doren will you pack me in your suitcase?
I think this isn't a good week for booking tickets. Son is try to come and is having trouble booking. June wd be better!
well yes. i want to haseeel the hoff. ;)
and ruru. this means the end of all my wonderful wines... gruaud larose, haut brion, beaucastel. sob, sob
Bye Dorens.
what do you mean dorens?
and there'll be roses!!!!!!
Can you not sneak a few bottles out?
i was not truly serious ruby... at least not about the booking now. if i have no job next year i will try for september, depending on the airports
oh haz, i am most deefinitely considering that! he doesn't lock his door!
You're saving him from his liver getting pickled. It's being helpful.
ruru, ken and i are no longer. I am still renting the house in sonoma for that week though, so hope to meet you. but i am losing access to the 4,000 bottle cellar
you have such a refreshing perspective, haz
oh.. that's too bad.. well in Sonoma you have access to mine
It's called having a twisted mind.
*smile*
(plus think about all the calories you are saving him)
hello
doesn't she though? be careful haz before the rabble of babble turn up at your door a la"the Guild"!
Truly, I'm sorry that you're going through this trauma, it can't be easy.
i think 3 or 4 bottles are fair
Hello, phaeton.
go through the cellar.. I will tell you which ones to take
no, it isn't but i think i'm somewhat in shock. and also not quite totally devastated, because although i was fond of him, we weren't really the best match.
need a clue for the as6, please?
itake it it was not mutual then
you mean i should bring my cellphone down there and call you? or take notes on all the different labels and then email you?
as plus shortened version of Cleopatra's fancy man.
a + rocky
no, owl. not really... he just sort of laid it on me
sorry, that was rude.
no, not rude. no worries
ty ruru
and Haz :)
then if i go up for a concert sooon i will call you, if not busy perhaps will go?
one of the benefits is that i will hae more time for chat instead of having to rush through the grid cause i needed to spend time with him. that is a +, yes?
Absolutely.
that is one positive..
Was babble a problem for him?
maybe there is a dating service for people with large wine cellars and lots of money
ruru, HE's the one with the cellar and money and HE doesn't need the dating service
I am missing a de4/5 in the middle. Which one is it?
dating service for someone looking for wine cellar and money and general all around companion, now that's what i need
I meant a service listing nice guys with big cellars
Were you together long, Dorens?
at first he resented babble, then he came to understand it is my passion, so he accepted it
two years
oh ruru, that's what i want, yes
found it
i have to go out in the garden now. later, buddies
There are a lot of de4/5, can you be more specific, Boo?
ihold hope they are out there.
found it ty has
Bye, Dorens.
something like "cork dorks with $"
No problem Boo, glad you got it.
You must be in a bit of a heap at the moment Dorens, but, life is swings and roundabouts....You will bounce back!
Or Fellers With Cellars?
:D
Phone.
if you weren't really a match.. it makes it a little easier no?
ea
yes, it is easier than it might have been. and ou're right soodle, i know that
love that.. cork dorks with $$, ruru. you have something there. and now i am out, thanks for the kind words all. i'll be back
And, I heartily endorse the suggestion that you relieve him of several bottles...........
agreed!
does the 8 have a root of any other grid word?
it has to do a lot with de 4/5
ty

I think I need help with the first gu 5/16 6/30 combo
a visitor is a house gu***
It's not actually a combination. The gu5/16 is someone you invite, gu6/30 - structured like a description of a precious metal, but one vowel is different.
Or, first three letters of the one who travelled to Lilliput, plus ***ver, Colorado.
And (despite pretty serious hangover) Fireworks!
thanks a lot
Well done, Soodle!
You're welcome, ruru.
Bye everybody. Have a good day/evening.

Hi ata!
ooo loads of people!
hi, denny
Hey DC
if anyone is interested I have a recipe for unstuffed cabbage in my profile
i make dynamite cabbage rolls peri...bacon and all
bbl
you put bacon in stuffed cabbage? Wow - I make them as well - following my old babci's recipe but no bacon - but do use ground pork - would love your recipe
great-great-grandma, and on down the line, use(d) beef, garlic, and rice in a ball, wrapped in bacon, wrapped in cabbage.
Hello, just starting and see it is midday oh my.
Bonjour - this one is not bad at all, stidgmere.
I'm making chickpea, tomato stew as we speak.
mom i use ground beef, ground pork cut up bacon, green and red peppers, onions, onion soup mix garlic powder pepper season salt
well of course rice but when cooking it i put beef cubes in it with soy sauce and butter
Bon, the last couple of grids have made it seem like trudging.
oh yum - both sound great - I use ground beef, ground pork, onions, salt pepper, rice, little tomato sause, wrap in cabbage and bake for hours on low in tomato juice
I use onion soup mix in my meatloaf - never thought to put it in the cabbage
we stew ours in tomato, paprika, and sour kraut, stirring in sour cream at the end.
try adding tomato soup and onion soup mix for the sauce mom
could anyone clue me gu6/30 please?
hi stidgmere - never been a chick pea fan
ohhh yummy dc, i may tr that next time
sauerkraut - i can spell, really ;)
gu6's mustard
like the mustard
the only mustard i can think of is Coleman's
ever made sauerkraut and dumplings - good polish fare
american prepared mustard brand
gu6's Spicy Brown Mustard
well cabbage rolls are polish/ ukranian
it's no good, i don't know the brand
We don't have the gu mustard here in the NW, I think.
I use Coleman's powdered and it is powerful stuff.
nor the UK!
gu6 - beautiful deep yellow color but change vowel
ore cabbage roll recipe comes from Hungary.
our,,, not ore sigh
really
sounds great - mine is from my mothers polish side
ty Mom and all of you. if i come to the States, i'll look out for it
i really thought more ukranian
really. Hungarians who lived near Bratislava in Austria-Hungary.
Do the Irish have cabbage rolls? We made them but thought of them as Germanic.
can anyone help with the id8 - I have tried every which way
ukranian friend's mom made them once and omg ..awesome
who are you mom? are you secure in your id8?
id8 theft, or personal ID8
and hi all
Hi Dorens.
i don't think they do cabbage rolls in Ireland, though they eat a lot of cabbage.
see this is why I dont want to ask - easy words - thanks ***slap*** myself not you dcseain
Well, Virginia, there is not Santa. That is just wrong.
that was an awesome clue dc
hello everyone just turned on the chat and was so happy to find peri's recipe
I totally agree stidgmere
I love golumki but can never make the stuffing stay in the cabbage
Well, mom, I needed the id word also but I'm just starting so clues are really fortuitous.
you may cook the cabbage too long before rolling
WOT NO SANTA?
as a matter of fact we went to a Polish dinner at the KofC last night it was to die for
Im jealous

seeded rye

we're reading mountain by mountains by tracy kidder.. interesting thing is it is about paul farmer, at Harvard Med... i asked jeremy if he works with him (similar interests... global health) and jeremy forwarded an email he received from paul friday asking if jeremy would teach a course in the fall. i printed it and am bringing it to meeting. (stid isn't the ONLY proudmama)

everywhere but enable ...
ty dc... i do much vicarious living through relatives. and hi ata
gee doren, has he told them yet?
yes owl.. but heather and I have a very close relationship (she babbles sometimes) and I adore her boys. am used to seeing them every sunday evening for dinner at his house... but this time he ditched us all, so I'll go there and give them their tshirts from mexico.
i saw an icon in a blog earlier, picturing a neon green drink in cocktail glass with caption of "Bond. Ionic Bond. Taken, not shared." :D LOL
very scientific, dc. i know lots of people who would never understand that ;-)
have a good dinner. and do you recommend the book?
lol fab
outside of my mother, most i know would get it, but yes, point taken doren
i enjoy all tracey kidder books, but it is kind of heavy on the sanctifying of this man (who is quite saintly actually) if you haven't read people of thebook by geraldine brooks, i recommend that first
ok. did you tell me about girl with the dragon tattoo?
gosh, the dishwasher is loud today. i wonder why. May be the big correlle bowl maybe.
yes, have you read it yet? first 50 - 100 pages are tough to get through, but worth it
dragon tattoo is soooooooo wonderful
and the next just as good, actually better in some ways
always wanted a dishwasher, then got one given to me,built in and...hate it
the third isnt quite as good, but still wonderful
movie's coming to our arthouse theater in a couple of weeks -- looking forward to it!
no, i am regrouping to build a reading list. part of the trouble is that just found out one of my lenses was madee too weak, so i was not imagining discomfort
ah!! don't know when the third is coming out in the US. very jealous
the movie is out here
its out!
heard the movie is great une... several who read it saw it and loved it, am planning on it soon
in US, ata? really?
the lens was to be 1.75 and was misrad and made 1.25, which i imagine caused wuite a bit of eyestrain
me too, doren -- NPR had a great segment about it awhile back
pretty sure. I sent Dragon Tattoo over to friends in OR and he read the rest of them
hmmm ok, you're right. Why on earth isn't it out yet?
i would recommend searles books, easy reading and nice plots
we've had it out for ages
will check it out. i read plays with fire, but haven't seen the other. then again, haven't hung around bookstores lately.
i read something of his owl, don't remember, but did like it
may 25th apparently
what's your icon, doren?
heard it was doing fantastic black market business few months ago
hi babbler's.....wish u all a great sunday and a big firework............
Larsson gets way over-complicated with politics in the 3rd one, but it's still wonderful
I wish I could send you my copy, but it's already lent out :P
the two i know are boy still missing and strange but true
wtg white!!

AE plus a pet name for Desmond

Denny - looking at your profile, you just have to have Irish roots?
Not me, My husband is half Irish...his parents live near Tarbet, Co Kerry
Of course that should read Tarbert!!
Blimey, didn't realise I've been a member of babble since 2005!!
you're a Babble oldie :D
Not as old as some Ata ;-) - jus twish I got more time to play on here..I do miss the game and the chat!
Denny - snap. My Dad is from Listowel - next town on from Tarert!!
nearly though! :P
Ooh we go to Listowel quite a bit, but usually passing thru on the way to somewhere else LOL!! We go over every yearand this year we are treating ourselves to an overnight stay at Bunratty castle...without the kids!!

actually, I think either spelling is historically correct....
castell is welsh
okay, peeps, I need a babble nation vote -- someone is selling a canoe/kayak hybrid on craigslist, for a decent price. It's a bit more than what I was looking to spend, but it's also AMAZING and in great shape. Given that I have a) credit card debt b) lawyer's bills and c) no free money, do I go ahead and grab this, or let it go?
anyone here from adelaide or the surroudning area?
The kids and i will use it for YEARS to come, I am sure!!
using the same parameters for myself, Trif, i pass on the deal
well trif...more debt or enjoyment??
how difficult would it make life for you moneywise?
yes, but will I enjoy it if the debt is too big?
exactly
not sure ata. could spend the same money paying down credit card, or paying down lawyer bill. Also know that money IS coming in settlement, so am cash poor now, but won't be forever
not worth it in the end
sigh. ((( whining))) but I waaaaaant it!
I HATE having to be the grownup!
yeah but ou don't know when that will happen
could you make him an offer you would ffel happy with>
trif u know what the right choice is
have visions of kicking myself later "oh, why didn't I buy that when I had the chance!"
I did think of trying to talk him down.
could always ask!
u will be happier knowing when the bills come in, they aren;t huge
then if he won't, then you know you've tried but can't do it, and if by any chance he will reduce the price, then ...
phone. brb
but if you dare trif...be tough with a straight face
bedtime for me - night all - happy babbling!

Ata gets to do cool stuff!
it really was a very cool thing. we had such fun
wow, sounds very interesting
help with se5/10., hope it is not a fish
sponges have these tiny wee silica spines in them, under the microscope they have all sorts of amazing shapes, from straight lines to many-pointed stars
se 5/10 se + 2000 lbs
se5.10 se & a heavy weight
Ata, was this part of a school program or something you did just for fun
ty, big red
hi big red
and lyn
welcome
hello
it was a course run by Kent Wildlife Trust and Seasearch - which is a voluntary organisation for divers who do conservation survey
*surveys. so not school, just for interest
ok
te6.18 if you mean before the canvas te**, then I think you want latin end on the te5.10
do you dive as well Ata?
got it, thanks lyn
also need the 6/18 before the 5/10 pls
I didn't luckily - I was at a big party till 3am before the course, and drinking and diving doesn't go well! But apparently the diving was *awful* yesterday, so I missed nothing!
fireworks, now off to play scramble
congrats Peri! bye
sounds like a great weekend!
it really was! Friday night was a 1920s night party up in London. Far too many cocktails, much dancing, boas and feathers and fun things
I'll show you some photos when I get them from the friend I went with!
Good. Expect to see some art inspired by sea sponges too
Oh I am late to congratualte peri!
te6.18 te & famous column in London - Ne****'s Column
good clue
they are so beautiful. google images for "sponge spicules" - you'll see!
and they are SO tiny, completely microscopic
Hey there everyone.
hi Peach
May I please have a clue for te5-10 the 3rd? Thanks
very interesting, not as much as green plants though for me
Hi there, lynxxx. Is sunny where you are?
Looks like another beautiful Autumn day Peach, clear blue skys
te5.10 10 & M** Farrow
Oh, that is nice. Sunny here too but getting very warm in the afternoons.
(not sure if that was the 3rd, not listing yet)
no, they aren't of great interest for about 99.9% of people! I can't say I find them the most fascinating of things either, but I appreciate their beauty!
That is it, thanks much, lynxxx.
I saw a new one for me yeaterday, member of the passionfruit family but the fruit was shape and size of an egg, hanging down on a 8-9" stem. I'll have to get my pencils out
brb
ooooo interesting!
I love finding new things!
urf. bed time I think now. It's either that or start drawing 81 standing stones, and I can't face that!!
Goodnight Ata. Nite Sily and Habbit too
night night!!!
Am back. Getting hungry but blood sugar is too high to eat right now. So, I'll keeping searching for words.
diabetic peach?
Yes. Thanks for asking, Good Enough.
my son is a type 1
Does he have to take insulin or can it be controlled with diet?
do you take insulin or try to control with diet
lol
evening everyone :-)
I don't take insulin and if I'm VERY careful I can keep it within the range. It's difficult because I very much like to eat. HA HA
I don't take insulin and if I'm VERY careful I can keep it within the range. It's difficult because I very much like to eat. HA HA
Hi Katie. Was thinking of you and hoping your holiday wasn't any time soon
Hello all. I am giving myself 20 more min. and then bed.
he is on an insulin pump. he was diagnosed at 6 yrs old and is now 15. harder to control blood sugar of a teenager than a child
hi Mich
a week on \tuesday, here's hoping it will be sorted out because it's not looking good at the moment
HI all. My son is in the States and he was supposed to fly to Rome today but he is stuck there.
peach i can totally understand your predicament. i don't think i could follow the regimen
Oh, bless his heart. Yes, I'm sure it is diffiicule for him (and you)...I know you must worry.
since he went on the pump his a1c has been very poor, we are really working to get him back into range
I will keep you and him in my prayers.
thank you, and right back at you!
ty
and my lap top has died so I am on hubby's notebook - can't afford the fix until we are back from the holiday we may not be going on!!
what happens with fares aready paid Katie? or are they covered by insurance
Back in a few.
we are covered but if you aren't on a package holiday it can revert back to your insurance but a lot of them are saying that it is an act of god and not covered. That would be bad enough if you lost your money but loads of people are stuck abroad
bummer katie
hmmm an act of nature rather than God
hi all
hi jmc
No insurance as far as I can tell, lynxx, it's a natural disaster- at least for my son because he doesn't have a package. The airline is doing its best to re-route but he will be missing out on Rome and my sister. Still I am glad he got a direct flight and is avoiding Europe altogether.
I'm still trying to be optimistic lol
hi jmc
hello all again.
hi red
hi good.
hi red
hi jmc
Hope he gets home soon Mich
hope everyone gets home soon
*laughing as she finds the volcano*
Thanks, it looks like he can get on a flight on Tuesday evening. He will be home Wednesday night. I am relieved, but he is a little disappointed and nervouse because it makes him another 3 days late for the start of his semester.
i suspect he will not be the only one
i'm sure they will understand Mich it's not like he has any choice
why does that make you laugh katie
given that we are worried sick about the holiday being cancelled because of volcanic ash
well i hope it resolves itself soon
You're right Katie, but he was supposed to have started Thursday!
hi, folks
hi welki i was thinking of you in Meeting this morning
hi welki
thank you, jmc .. hope i didn't interrupt
Hi Welki!
no a drive by thought ;-)
UK airspace closed until 7pm tomorrow now
i've never been a drive-by before ... it feels, it feels .. so transient
i heard there was fierce lobbying going on to reopen it
they are having test flights I think there will be pressure being put on to open it all as the airlines are going to go bump soon if they don't sort it out
so sorry welki it is a nice part of Meeting to me to have people go through my mind as I center
there was a thing on the news about what happens when aeroplanes get ash in the engines, not at all a pretty picture, of crash boom and flounder and go up in flames.
Well, time's up. I have to get to bed. Night all!
i hope they take their time. I know it's inconvenient and is costing millions, but i'd hate to think one plane could stall and crash if they don't take every single second they need to make sure it's safe to fly
bye mich
gn mich, best to your son!
night Mich
night Mich, hope your son's rearranged travel plans work out
(was joshing, jmc .. flattered that i'd enter your mind during meeting)
you all know there is the volcano in todays grid?
Thanks to all of you for your caring, wonderful thoughts!
hello everyone :) Just home from our opening golf scramble -- found out how out of shape I am!
yep laughed a lot when I got it
taje
ooops
hi C'nan
i listened on the radio to a pilot who flew through ash and all his engines stopped but once he flew past it (with no engines) they came back on again
I would not like to be a passenger on that plane jmc!
lucky guy .. the tiniest bit of ash can foul things up permanently
this happened 10 years ago
they say that the ash can melt on and clog up aeroplane engines.
red would you please type in real words when you type grid words in the chog! lol
I will work on it jmc.
Heres a clue. We did have a De**** of rain today. hard and heavy.
:-)
just poking my nose in for a second .... but they could fly under it ... it means they will use more fuel, but not lose as much money.
ty red
TY Red - mdidn't have that
they are saying that our ash is finer so would be OK but still no new on reopening. BA did test flights today and said that there were no problems
hi mo
and hi all.
and pt too!
i personally really hate to fly, so I probably would rather cancel and stay home.
Hi Mo, yep I have 2 hopes either the one you have outlined or a major change in the weather
there's only so much air space (believe it or not, mo) ... can't have all the planes flying at the same/near altitudes
but even with limited air space it would seem they could let some of the flights happen
also a great jackson browne song, red .. before the de****
hehehe, jmc .. which ones? how would you choose which airline to let profit and which one not?
I agree welki ,but it doesnt have to bring everything to a standstill1
draw straws
i think it's more complicated (or the industry has made it more complicated) than we know
jmc, in this word, I imagine the airlines owuld have to bid on it...
or let each airline fly in turn the flight of their choice
but the one to dubai on the 27th from Birmingham should be a clear priority
that being your flight katie?
oh absoltely
LOL!! KATIE.
be careful in dubai they had very strict rules there
Oh yes jmc
a friend of mine had to flee
time to make the meatloaf, bbs
ae 5, please?
mmmmm meatloaf
hi cyber
Good afternoon Babble buddies. 85 to go.
we are only changing planes there on to the maldives so I'm sure we can't get in too much trouble in 2 hours
ae5 = mosquito
the mosquito, nan
hi scrabs
ah well i will worry less for you then katie
hi scrabbs
hi Scrabs
can't remember the mosquito babblet
Anyway, I have had my say and will now bid you all a fond farewell, and hope everyone eventually gets to where they are going. Nighty night and good luck.
bye Mo
i may have to put the mosquito on my babblet list
I just sat in front of the TV and one of the Bourne movies is on--the 3rd, I think.
bye mo
Bye Mo
Cobra (emergency) meeting today at No 10 and they are talking about sending in the Royal Navy to bring stranded people home. I might have finished this grid by then. I flew to 37 and now nothing appears.
that would take some time patxxx
ae & ***cent is going down
What a mess from the volcano eruption.
ty lynxxx
Got flying on my mind. For flew... substitute 'got to 37 left'.
help with the O word in the upper corner please
it translated okay patxxx
on5.10 when something starts
Beginning = on5
grrr I hate missing words like that
ty lynxx and scrabs
How is spring in DC, JM?
cold
Well, we've had aircrew on strike at BA and threats of more - about now I think - so we might not notice time delays.
I'd better go, drove home from Scotland today so am shattered. see you all tomorrow
Bye Kitt
sleep well katie
HI Jmcnrick, if you understand me then start to worry!
ledeen
bye Katie
lol patxx of course i do Boop boop ba-doop!
Pat, you have my disease, typing non words into the chat box.
Hi Red
but neither one of you do me any good! :-(
scrabbler! hello.
well, I am missing 69 so ...no good for anyone.
Did you work today, Red?
I knew I should have gone to bed. Sorry all but it's not even the word I was trying for. It's the reason I don't chat much cos I don't seem to have the ability to do the grid and the box together. I multi-task a million other ways but when I open a grid my mind is one track.
help with the e singleton please
64 to go for me
well no one really minds patxxx so don't let it stop you from chatting!
ei4 think duck
no biggie at all. in fact, I tried it and wished for all that it was a word!
I think i am amoung the top ten chog screw ups having posted my entire word list one night. . . .
First te 6/18 please?
can anyone help with the gu6/30 pls?
that was you jmc? I still wish for that on occasion1
41 here... evening all!
i keep forgetting I don't ne** an R for that word here
Hi dobie + vic
hi scrabbler
gu6.30 yellow metal colored but change o to u
hi scab
then another time sat down my laptop and accidently put my foot on the key board for 10 minutes of large blank entries and people trying to decide if i had dropped dead on the keyboard
TY, Lynxxx
gu6 is a mustard
And we still love JMC.
hi vl
:-D
I was here for that, jm. I feared you had lost consciousness.
hi jmc
ty all for the gu word
Other people have done that too and their cats use the keyboard
the most obvious physical result of that was my turning bright red for another 10 minutes
yes, we were worried .. i figured i could locate you through 911 if necessary
It was funny, jm!
it is nice to be worried about
Hi welki. I thought of you when I saw anglers at the 3 ponds in the nearby park on my hike.
te6/18 t + what you paint on
okay nbt and i am going to go make myself some supper
bbl
ty Lynxxx been driving me potty that one.
I can offer veg and chicken simmer ed in coconut milk and curry.
fishing season starts early in your neck of the woods, scrab! here, we have to wait until mid-may for ponds/lakes, until spawning is finished
I need food too jmc bye all
TY, vic. I had tried a word with the last 2 letters switched
yw scrabbler
that sounds good, red... you should come nurse me, i am not well... I promise not to spit at you, kick you, or vomit on you
Hi kje
What are you ill with, kje?
lingering URI... cough that won't stop... I think I may develop a hernia here soon... my belly is killing me
poor kje
Aha, atypical pneumonia or pertussis!
well, I am on day 4 of a z-pack, but may have to do a fluoro
Do you have an albuterol inhaler at home?
no
is that a variation of, 'physician, heal thyself?"
but that made me laugh
that was for scrab, btw
Pertussis is also known as the "100-day cough."
thinking i would have an MDI at home
and probably made your belly hurt more .. apologies
my cabinet is not that well stocked at home
I have lots of samples here--eye drops, ear drops, asthma meds, oral steroids...
ty for that encouraging word scrab.....
Hi Welki, I used to fish. Difficult now and dangerous for a woman alone. I would finish work, collect the kids, the tackle already in the car and as soon as I hit the river bank all my problems disappeared. It almost took over my live. I miss it.
Does it feel like a bronchospastic cough?
join a fishing club, pat, and limit your time to when the club meets ... there's always a way :)
Help with 3rd last te6/18?
2nd te 6/18, please?
hmmmm.... it feels like constant fluid in the throat that triggers the cough... like all my mucus membranes are secreting like crazy.... when I do get something up, it feels like i gorked up a lung
Oh, that is the same one I am looking for, Nan.
Are you wheezing, kje?
te6.18 te & famous London landmark - Ne*****'s Column
well, time for me to unpack and get ready for the work week (been camping) ... later, folks
no
I don't know that famous London landmark
ok kje, I will feed you tea with whiskey. I had what you have a fewmonths ago, the cough persisted
Bye welki
and am taking 2 zyrtrec daily
Ne**** was at Battle of Trafalgar too I think
ty lynxxx -- in trafalgar square isn't it?
hoping to dry anything up... but just constant secretions down there... but my nose is dry
or Ne**** Mandela even
kje--fever along the way? nasal sxs? SOB? cough more at day or night? cough triggered by laughing?
i want to die
TY for te6!
Oh no, do we need to baker act you , or whatever the tx equivalent is?
I have had atypical pneumonia a lot, (usually once yearly)--starts with ST, hoarse voice, moves down into chest and you cough A LOT--it's exhausting!
ae 6?
I know and you're right Welki but men who fish are not exactly comfortable when they get beat by a woman! I was good but it was all down to patience and I concentrated on ledger/bottom fishing for the bigger fish, which needs oodles of patience. It paid off often. PS Not as big as your big fish or rivers here.
ae & eat out
more at night... especially now... did great all day, now getting bad... can't comment on laughing... can get worse if i talk and it gets too dry....no nasal sx, maybe had fever earlier, but don't think so now (no, I do not own a thermometer), started with cough... cough all along.... cough and more cough
ty again
throat only gets sore after bad coughing
sounds a bit like pertussis.
it felt like I had the whooping cough.
*!* ta da *!* thanks for the help :)
Yahoo Nan!!
i had whooping cough in my early 20s... i thought of it as a deeper cough, and def had that weird sound....
Congrats Nan!
Kje. Terrific icon. Love it..
yayayayayay nan!!!!
Then, kje, you are on the right AB. It might be worth trying albuterol. Could you Rx an MDI for yourself?
Kje.. mucinex not an option?
ty pat, local artist
mucinex sucks
and am already on codeine
tessalon sucks too
I looooove tessalon, mostly because for some odd reason it puts me to sleep.
Mucinex, codeine and those meds do not work, you know that.
Wow Kje, If he was local to me I could go bankrupt.
LOL red... my colleague gave me tessalon... i took 800 one night and finally got some sleep
Mucinex works for me
name is daniel padillo, pat, he has a website
You could take 50 mg of Benadryl before bed.
it doesn't stop the cough, just makes it easier, so my illness last less time
i prefer to die, scrab... i think that is the only solution....
Ty Kje will look.
Hi Nerky, future Board of Education President!
no... BORED of education, i believe it was
LOL, I don't think I even want to consider aspiring to that Scrab
err kje, you are soon to end up in a psych ward if you keep up that stream of chatting!
bye everyone -- all that fresh air and exercise wore me out :)
Do you want ME to call in an Rx for albuterol?
I'll do my 1 year term from now till next April, and then I may be done
bye cyber!
bye nan!
definitely "Bored"
i don't feel like RAD, scrab... but thanks anyway... i should prob get an xray soon
Have you listened to your chest, kje?
no wheezes... can't reach the back well for consolidation...but really, if it get sto that point, i should see a doc - LOL
First ty4 please? Monkey seems to have tried everything.
ty & dble vwl
babblet
Avoid docs whenever possible, kje, you know that.
TY, I recall that word now
reassuring to hear that from you Scrab :)
yes, they teach us that in med school, right?
I dislike + distrust docs and have chosen mine carefully. Always ask a doc for the names of their docs.
are you serious Scrabbs!
My doctor is moving to Oregon... very sad
Yes, Lynxxx. As an "insider" I know how awful some docs are.
I heard, nerky---very sad.
if you want to call me in a fatal dose of MSO4, you can do that
should I ask her who her doctor is?
i can come back as a babble ghost
kje...hot tea with whisky.
MSO4 + Versed + succinylcholine + Ativan = peaceful + quick way to cross over.
i have no whisky
i think the versed and ativan are redundant.
that sounds good, scrab!!! I'll take that
Yes, nerky.
you have a place that delivers sushi, dont you have a place that delivers etoh?
Is id8 related to id6?
meatloaf in oven, having a little pre-meal wine and gouda, ahhh
wait, i do have bourban
bourbon
nope
scrabbler????? oh my... wheres my notepad?
i like gouda.
oooh, hot water + bourbon + honey
Hahaha, dobie.
what ratios, nrkii?
I love almost all cheeses.
id8 - what ID stands for
ty for the id8
NRKI!!!!!!
half bourbon, half hot water, add a tbsp honey????
I'm off to start the day. Bye all. Hope you improve overnight kje
how do you make that? I will try it
TY nrkii for the word.
ok
TY, n, I thought that was a phantom
have a super day Lynxxx.
Bye Lynxxx. TY for clues.
have you made this, or are you making things up....
bye lynxx
LOL, hold on
getting you a hot toddy recipe
ok
And you worked today, kje?
yes
no lectures please
Any pts with TB recently?
oh scrab, I have a clueless intern... I wantto kill him
I work when I am sick too.
1 tbsp honey, 3/4 glass tea, 2 shots bourbon, 1 slice lemon (optional)
Still clueless in April?! Not good.
and you can just use hot water instead of tea if you like
OK, will let you know how it goes, nrkii
who is the MD who tells me to rest when I am sick?????
and you can add whatever spices you like to flavor it up
seriously, scrab... I am thinking of talking to his program director
No intern killing, but intern redirecting.....out of your field.
Help with 3rd, 5th + 6th gu words please?
oh, peace broken by teenager arriving home and POed dinner not on the table *breathes, takes another sip of wine*
Why hasn't anyone recognized the clueless intern?
College nephew is home.
good remind teen that they are eating for free....
one of his admissions, he tells me has gastroparesis and constipation... then next problem is diarrhea and he has ordered loads of tests... I said, which is it? he can't have both (unless impacted of course)
like talking to myself sometimes... you know
oh blockage.
you know where they leak around the blockage, btu...I am just a nurse...dont know as much as the intern, yes.
next admission... he says lady is c/o dizziness when she turns her head, and sees black spots... says it is BPV... I ask, is this vertigo or light headed, patients use dizzy to mean all kinds of things... so when we see her... sounds like subclavian steal
pb Red!
every freakin admission he was off EVery ONE
Oh, rushes to try to find her PB word!
makes me nervous as heck
Does this intern need to repeat his internship?
oh rats, I had it. Waltzes off to the PB to shout out at Scrabbs and KJE.
te**
He will be supervising interns + students in just 3 mo!
I think so... but having only worked with him for 3 days, I will give him a little longer... while double checking everything he does
I suppose someone could have a bad day, but....generally its just one or two pts then.
we have a tiny little woman (youngish though) with advanced lung ca we are moving to hospice, and she is VERY sensitive to narcs... she is getting about 4mg via PCA daily and she stays asleep
oh no...
so yesterday he gets called she is in pain, and orders 3 mg IV MSO4 push... of course,.... knocks her flat out and slows her resp rate a bit, RAT team called and pushed narcan
Did the Nurse who called not suggest something smaller? Or start out with 1?
Oh, dear. He IS dangerous! Has he killed anyone yet?
3 mg is such an odd dose.
so I ask him today what he learned from that.... he couldn't answer... I said, tell me again how much MSO4 she used the day before.... 3.5mg... so I asked, doyou think 3mg was maybe too much for one dose?
CLUELESSSSSSSSS
He needs to do more than repeat, maybe a career as a pharmaceutical salesman.
Dangerously clueless.
my attempt at peacemaking with the te** has been thwarted *takes bigger sip of wine*
red - I wish the nurse had said no.... but on our wards, 3mg isn't unheard of, but yes, 2mgs is standard, and usually go up from there, her, I would have given 0.5
Uh oh, are we dominating chat? shoudl we talk abotu weather.
1st gu5/16 please?
sorry... will stop bitching.... just makes me want to fire him
you nurses are making me scared, next time i'm sick i think i stay home
Hahaha, GE
25 left.... bbl after resting eyes
If I worry I always give like part of the dose i can always give more, but I cant give less.
excellent idea GE!!! never go to a hospital unles there is no other option
but red... that is because you are not clueless
somedays I feel clueless.
kje + I are docs and we agree, GE
I got offerred the night charge position at my new hospital 2 days ago....
sorry, no disrespect intended
But you know your limits, I am sure, Red. Health care providers must know when to ask for help, look something up, etc
are you going to take it? you would be awesome... you seem to have common sense!
I really do not know, I dont like that hospital. and sometimes I do not like to be as pushy as the charge has to be, to get people to you know, do their jobs.
I have not even been their 90 days, which tells you how "deep their pool is for these things.
true... you would have to learn some bitchiness - LOL
I love to look stuff up.
Morning
the as?
OMG, red... that IS a bad sign... you can be briiliant, but I would still think they would have others ahead of you... sounds dysfunctional
Hi lady
hi herin
HOw you?
ok
hi herin
I am missing the as too
Where did nerky go? Did she make herself a hot toddy and then pass out?
still here, but on phone :)
yes, indeed. I have the job offer from another hospital, and I just got an email from my old hospital telling me she is still trying to get me the infection control position.
Nerky!
i think we scared her off.... she went to console herself in her book of bad diseases she keeps posting things on
hi herin
OK, nerky, I was worried about you.
hi everyone .... I have found the chat to be very enlightening
what about the ID epi job, red?
did you get those gu words yet? i have tour leader minus the i and clever plural minus the i
LOL, maybe Nerky is calling the Cleveland Clinic for a consultation.
i will brb... water needs boiling
Hi Mom
I finished the gu words--had to do some word searches
Hi Mom, I fear we have dominated chat with some medico chatter-ness.
What do you need, GE?
Hi Scrabbler
Hi Red
Red, how was the job interview?
How is the spring in KY?
as male name
absolutely wonderful Scrabbler. Are you still having snow?
HI MOM
Hi Herin
It was actually better than expected. I got 100% on the te** they gave, and I got the job, and then I got offered another promotion t the current job, and so....i am stymied.
It snowed again overnight and this morning but then spring returned after lunch--sunny ever since.
I went to a sand sculpture festival today, it was nice, but...it rained.
seems like I got here just in time ...... ***changes bed sheets and pillow cases, nicely fluffed, light weight blanket, trash can, fresh box of tissues, sprite with crushed ice** Now KJE, come lay down and rest.
Not good for sand sculpture.
oh red, what did they have at the fest?
oh Red, that is a prediciment.
kje does need help
I am glad it is a better afternoon than this morning Scrabbler

HI Big Red

hi Mom
you can suck it down kje
id6 = to think; id8 = what you need to buy alcohol
who are you big red? dont let anyone steal your id8
{{{{{KJE}}}}}, bless your heart. Come now and lay down. I have fixed everything up for you
i don't actually like bourbon.... but will try
thanks Momneedshelp
en6 clue please?
time to make the meatloaf glaze (and refill the wine glass), bbs
what have you fixed for me mom... I am getting no sympathy... scrab is offering me suicide pills, and red won't nurse me!
I told you to drink a toddy.
seems like I got here just in time ...... ***changes bed sheets and pillow cases, nicely fluffed, light weight blanket, trash can, fresh box of tissues, sprite with crushed ice** Now KJE, come lay down and rest.
kje, you said that you wanted to die!
i do!
this is the clue I got from une today - en6 - en + boob + sometimes vowel
there, I repeated it for you ....
I should load up the pics from the weekend
I think I will stick with (((MOM)))
what do you want, je slippers with skiddies on it, a turkey sammie and a warm blankie?
thanks Momneedshelp
TY, mnh, I should have seen that one

oh KJE :)
hmmmm... people drink these for fun? really?
You Moms are so sweet!
*bow* to Mom
my dad always put a match to the hot toddy before he gave it to us.
get up from there Momneedshelp
on top?
like to burn off the alcohol?
yes
made the prettiest flame
but it would likely still taste like bourbon - LOL
anyone ever had a hot buttered rum? those sound interesting
I think he had more honey than bourbon when he made it for us but it still worked
I have not, KJE
16 to go....I am exhausted from this grid
i think nkrii had one this year and said it was ick... nkrii?
this doesn't taste as bad as it smells... that hot water really makes the bourbon smell
hang in there scrab!
dad made ours with hot tea
hold your nose KJE and drink
its like a hot toddy flambee..

Hi Boo and Trif. just starting here
hey there bugs. dive on in...
Hi Bugsaw. I love your icon.
I would not allow myself to start until I had completed organizing years worth of photographs
your icon is fun too Boo
tyvm
wow, it must be the day for organizing or something! My friend Pam cleaned closets all day, i have been scouring my house...maybe a spring cleaning sort of thing?
It is for me Trif. Sometimes I scare myself into action by thinking, "What if I died and my kids had to sort thru all this stuff?"
god, if that happened my kids would haunt ME, not the other way around!
I also watch one of those hoarding shows and think, "Better get cracking before that happens to you, girl!'
hmmm 105 left . probably not finishing today. guess i'll just enjoy
ove your icon Good Enough
love it , sorry
thank you, C is for cookie, thats GOOD ENOUGH for me!

what we have here is a failure to communicate

ok
yes it is early
I have a big do to go to that night though -- a fundraiser for my center
i mean my middle name is last minute. i like to thinko fit as being a free spirit
i have to remember that TO. i'm not irresponsible i'm a free spirit! i like it!
*gives TO a long silk scarf to stream around showing her free spirit*
haha
*giggle* yous guys
I can't possibly do things at the last minute so much of my life is already spoken for
i think i'm going to execute my free spirit when i go in late to work tomorrow
do you like the blue scarf or would you prefer a pink one?
sl 6/7 combo?

you know you are being a good parent when the kids are mad at you
that is often a good sign
the 15 year old "forgot" that his gym shirt needed to be washed so i'm making him do it- you would think i asked him to sew a new one
haha
i trust he has put other dirty clothes in with it so as to be ecological
next time tell him he has to sew a new one, see how fast he just throws it into the washer!
lol
as6?

oh thanks ru
hi ru
hey jm...
hope it is another smaller grid tonight...I don'thave time for the bigs ones these days.

baseball season has started for me
phone call from my MIL. looked back at chog - yes jmc i made him do a full load
hi ru! are you training dylan to fetch your tennis balls?
good good
no.. obedience stuff like gloves and dumbells..
I didn't buy my MIL a present for her birthday this year.
uh oh
(joke coming)
*le**s back in chair and waits*
I bought her a cemetery plot for her birthday last year and told her she didn't use my present last year...so why should I buy her anything this time.
*groan*
lol
In laws just got back into town. read about the neighborhood crime scene in the paper and had to get the scoop.
speaking of which I haven't seen BR in a while
ah so how is the 10 year old doing?
haha "groan" "i haven't seen br in a while"
hi all, and jmc he was here a few minutes earlier today
his puns are much worse than mine..
here FOR a few minutes earlier today, and ruru that is debatable
good glad to hear it dorens
haha dorens
my humor just tends to be a bit sicker than his is all
no I think ru is correct
we didn't bring it up today jmc. we'll see how school goes tomorrow. they took the crime scene tape down today so we are pretending all is normal
does de 7/36 build off of the 6? doesn't seem like it...
think it means on the definition of worse in this case... could have different perspective... worse as in not funny or worse as in more stinging
what crime scene?
well it is normal now
it does leslie.. the most de4
leslie it is the superlative
worse as in how loud i groan when i read it
hmmm... doesn't seem like that would ne** a superlative
police found (excuse me) half a body in a bag at the apartment complex dumpster next door
Nods head)
oh my goodness
half???
oh.. holy cow!
well now that you mention it
i guess half a body WOULD be the de 7
yes half, isn't that more gross that a whole for some reason
that is really scary...
lol
(not taking out the garbage tonight)
do we know which half?
(don't ask)
my trash can is too small
i live in the most ordinary place on earth so we just have to assume the violence happened elsewhere and they decided to dump it here
bottom half, they know it was male - ha ha
creepy...
nah I read too many criminal trial transcripts to be grossed out unless it relates to kids
lol good
Lorena Bobbit's new boyfriend? ya think!
i can't even watch a tv show with kid victims
if it is her aim as deteriorated

I would be creeped out good enough.. that is too close for a quiet town
We had a murder here last year and it made the whole town lock their doors.
oh wait you are by me, GE... where do you live again?
i know weird sh** happens everywhere, i'm trying to just move on
it will be interesting to hear where the other half shows up
omg i forgot leslie, i'm in arlington heights
oh! this one: http://www.dailyherald.com/story/ ?id=374038
there has been a murder with in a few blocks of me for the last couple of years
one a year that is
I can't imagine how someone could do that...like that scene in Fargo.. what kind of human being could do that
anoyone considering putting up a mother and a husband in the same home, forget it. it's not worth the trouble.
yeah thats the one leslie!
sorry I'm upset. I'll shut up now.
you can do it ormal but it is hard
??? ormal?
i am sorry you are going through this

oh.. feisty mother
your mother and her husband?
*cup of tea with a chot*
shot that is
*hands ormal a gin and tonic*
(I would start spiking her breakfasts with muscle relaxers or something)
you got in the middle of something I am guessing?
ugh. my mother and my husband. Oh lord help me, I'm damn tired of being the abused middle. Hell ruru, I didn't get in the middle of anything, both just decided to get drunk on the sam night, and I said enough arguing ,eat your pizza, and both exploded at me. Mind you I cooked dinner AND ordered dinner so no one would be unhappy.
yikes!
sounds like a bad Dr. Phil show
i'd walk out and let them stew in their own sauces. then you can serve that up to them tomorrow.
lbd has it right
feels like a bad dr phil show. hell if I wasn't drunk I'd drive to a hotel and let them both stew, but no one would get my babies up for school in the morning then.
I would make them eat Round Table pizza for days after that one
I SO wish LBD, cuz you do have it right!
bummer that there are kids in the house. hope they didn't hear all that.
darn the kids mess up a grand exit
(there are always taxis)
(starts looking for nursing homes for Ormals mom)
i'd love clues for the ad words.
anyway to make them leave?
no I sent them to bed when it looked like bot hwould get stupid. Love you guys and thank you but afraid one or the other will walk in here soon. thanks for the support, gotta run. Maybe will run away on foot tonight. Hotels within 6 miles.

Are the first 4 letters the same? Thanks

well I just took another migraine pill, so should be okay by morning. I actually didn't do a lot of schoolwork today (spent an hour in the garden, and two hours with Mother at the farmer's market)
t'was a gorgeous day out today, wasn't it...
("doing" my hair while waiting for flip)
how are you today pini? Mother and I are so excited about August... I can hardly wait. Do you have a preference for "venue" for the big group gathering? (not sure how big we'll be, ten might be the tops)
it was a LOVELY day. AND I found out one of my clematis is still alive!
Nothing in particular...any id5 about where we might all meet? i.e., Olympia, Seattle, Everett, etc...
Olympia is what jmc has been saying... it's cheaper generally, but it's not as convenient for the Canadian contingent... though closer to you of course.
I think Bugs, Flo and Jill don't mind coming all this way.
I don't know anything much about Olympia except it's the state's capital...Pike Place is always fun!
(I have some family in Seattle, so it's not too bad.)
okay, we'll have to talk to jmc and see what she wants then (she's the one coming furthest) :-D I am happy to go anywhere.
I wonder....will she be flying into Seattle or Portland? Will I be transporting? etc...
well, down to 67. that may be as far as I get... will list and see what happens.
I think she was planning on picking you up! LO
picking me up is a little "out of the way"
